Historical note: Hitler quotations
I was sent some interesting quotations from Hitler. I do not at present have the citations (probably from Mein Kampf, possibly from the WW2 transcripts published in the 1950s as, in English editions, Hitler’s Table Talk), but will add them as and when. The quotations certainly read as if authentic. I believe them to be authentic.

That sounds just like that which happened to me when I was wrongfully and unlawfully disbarred in October 2016.

Twitter is rotten. I myself was expelled (“suspended“, in Twitter’s weasel vocabulary) in 2018, after a pack of Jews finally managed, after years of trying, to get Twitter to remove my “account” (“@ianrmillard“).
As I predicted many months ago, Elon Musk turned out to be too intelligent to buy Twitter, once the results of his due diligence enquiries came in. It’s simply a dishonest organization (and one which is basically unprofitable, as most of its history shows).
The “Conservative” Party leadership contest (“leadership“? Those cretins?) amounts to “which do you want, the Indian puppet on a stick, or the white woman puppet on a stick?“.
I really dislike tattoos, especially —though not exclusively— on women.
Perhaps the only thing the SS and orthodox Jews had in common was a prohibition on tattoos, though some (not all) SS officers and men, mainly Waffen-SS, had their blood group tattooed under the arm in case of requiring a transfusion in or immediately after battle. As for Jews, if detained, they were tattooed compulsorily, with a prisoner number.
National Lottery
The state should own the Lottery, even if a commercial company is hired to use its expertise to run the day-to-day operations.

Liz Truss isn’t wrong there about Mark Drakeford. Despite being a member of the supposedly unionist Labour Party it is clear that he doesn’t much care for the UK and seeks to appease Plaid Cymru by being a semi-separatist.
He is also something of a hypocrite in that he wants Proportional Representation for the House of Commons but, along with his buddies in Plaid, has come up with a farcical scheme to reform the Senedd’s electoral system.
Since the Assembly opened, Wales’s system has been a SEMI PR system which has meant that the other parties in Wales have not got the representation in terms of their seats that their vote share should have given them and Labour has been persistently over represented hence Labour governments in Wales for twenty plus years with diabolical education standards etc to show for it.
Instead of changing the system so that it is MORE FAIR, Labour and Plaid plan to change it to a party list PR system BUT they have designed it so that Wales is divided-up into 16 different electoral areas with only 6 list seats in them and that will mean a party will have to obtain a considerable vote share of about 11% in one to get a SINGLE member of the assembly.
This is a farcical effective electoral threshold for representation for a supposedly PR system and higher even than the law imposed 7% threshold Turkey now has (lowered from 10%) let alone the national 5% threshold in Germany or Sweden’s 4%.
What Labour and Plaid plan to do regarding this is a disgrace and a plain stitch-up and such is the high threshold it will likely meant that small parties such as the Greens and even the Lib Dems will be effectively excluded from winning seats. As Plaid is like the SNP and won’t work with the Tories it will mean Labour or Labour and Plaid will be in government for ever!

One point in Mark Drakeford’s favour is that he did deal with the pandemic quite well within the devolved powers of the Assembly.

Those of us who live in ‘nice Tory areas’ like the tenth safest Conservative seat of Brentwood and Ongar like me in Essex don’t want the Green Belt eroded.
The Green Belt is VITAL for areas like mine and has helped to prevent London spreading ever further outwards.

You may or may not know that, in the 1970s , it was worked out that the entire UK population then (about 56 million) could be housed at a density akin to Hampstead Garden Suburb entirely within a circle around London to a radius of about 25 or 30 miles. I suppose that would be 35 miles now.

If you listen to the political blog of A Different Bias on YouTube you will discover that Sunak dropped a real political clanger when talking to Tories in Tumbridge Wells.
If the Tories are unwise enough to choose hm they will regret it. Labour will have perfect material using what he said to sink any Tory hopes of retaining many of those ‘Red Wall’ marginal seats their majority is built upon.
Both candidates are deeply flawed and, frankly, horrendously bad for a so-called major political party but, I think, Liz Truss has the edge and will do the Tories less damage whenever the election comes. She only has to last three years until the inevitable next 3 year Tory leader election cycle comes!🙄🙄🙄😂😂😂😂

One organisation that should be under state ownership or under a strong degree of state direction should be the railways.
Most businesses should be in the private sector but there are couple where a case can be made for public ownership.
Even ‘the blessed Margaret’ didn’t privatise the railways or the Royal Mail.

I am a centrist or slightly to the left of centre with regard to economics ie I am not an extreme market fundamentalist like so many Tories are nowdays which actually goes against the Conservative Party’s history for most of its time as a major party.
Extreme neo-liberal/libertarian economics belongs in the Liberal Party NOT the Conservative Party. The Tory Party historically was NOT the party of unrestricted free trade it was the party of mild protectionism and the party of not just business in general but, more specifically, the party of BRITISH business and BRITISH industry.

At any rate, thanks to low morals, many instances of woefully inadequate sentences, continual importation of people from countries with backward and non law abiding cultures such as Somalia we need more like 50,000 plus new officers to cope with the ever increasing crime rates especially in ‘Stab City Upon The Thames’

Your Daily Star report has sparked some memories.
In the 1980s, I knew a Nigerian princess (I think the title came from the King of Lagos or his family), who lived and died on the island featured in that Daily Star report. She took a law degree contemporaneously with me (in fact she and a Penang Chinese girl used to sit by the pool and watch me swim at the Oasis open-air swimming pool in central London (near Holborn), asking me to explain some aspects of the law as I swam).
That Nigerian woman was 40, though she looked much younger (no more than about 30; I was 28-30 at the time), and had been married at a young age —I think about 16 or 18— to a much older man, about 30 years older, who eventually become a High Court judge or equivalent in Nigeria. They had 2-3 children who, when I knew her, were already about 20. She and the judge lived completely separately. He, she said, stayed in Lagos, still sat as a judge, but enjoyed the company of 15-year-old girls, while she lived in a detached house with large garden and a swimming pool in (if I recall) Oakleigh Park (or nearby), in North London. I went there once.
That woman passed the law degree, took a master’s degree at UCL, but could not pass the Bar finals exam as it then was (different system now), despite several attempts. She then opened a shop in Hampstead selling African wooden masks etc. After a while, she (I heard from someone I knew— I myself had married an American citizen and gone to live in the NY/NJ area) returned to Lagos, and had a flat or penthouse on Lagos Island (in fact, she had owned one even when I knew her; I remember her talking about it).
Sadly (she was nice), she had returned to the flat/penthouse late one night, had found burglars in the place, had confronted them, and had then been shot dead on the spot.
Memory Lane…a bad habit of mine. One should look forward, not back.
