How much of all that, though, has been caused or made far worse by the invasion of the UK by “migrants” (migrant-invaders)? An invasion which, by the way, has been fully supported and encouraged by Jewish-lobby puppet Yvette Cooper.
Her predecessors as Home Secretary were no better, as seen below— weird Israel fanatic Sajid Javid:

I was last at Sacre Coeur about 30 years ago. Despite it being only a 19thC building (completed in the 20thC— https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacr%C3%A9-C%C5%93ur,_Paris), for me it has or had a unique atmosphere, and one not experienced (by me, at least) at the much more ancient (12th-13thC) Notre-Dame de Paris [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notre-Dame_de_Paris].
That atmosphere may be due to the fact that a Roman Catholic mass is perpetually celebrated at Sacre-Coeur: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacr%C3%A9-C%C5%93ur,_Paris#Role_in_Catholicism.

Living conditions in 1940s Paris were certainly austere at times, at least for some, but life went on, e.g. under German military occupation:

In 1970, and 1971, Paris was distinctively not only French but also specifically Parisian. By the 1980s, and especially 1990s, I noticed that it had become less so, more a “convergence” Euro-metropolis. Now? God knows. From what I hear and read, a multikulti nightmare, at least in part and in parts.
Quelle surprise…
Regular readers will know that I have blogged recently about the fact that Starmer-Labour has no real mandate. The electoral system of the UK has been broken beyond easy repair.
At GE 2024, out of every 20 people eligible to vote, and in very rough terms, 8 did not vote at all, 4 voted Labour, 3 voted Conservative, 2 voted Reform UK, 2 voted LibDem, and 1 voted Green.
That is Starmer’s and Labour’s mandate— 4 out of 20. For pedants, arguably, 4 out of 12. Not much of a mandate either way.
Talking point

I would not waste my time in any case.
Late music

Peter Hitchens echoing my thoughts on Starmer, i.e. he is nasty.
There is nothing to prevent Labour doing exactly what they wish to do with the majority they have, which is very concerning.
“It took them no time at all. The sheer spiteful, dishonest and militant nastiness of the Starmer government has been revealed within less than a month of the election.” Peter Hitchens.

But Hitchens is one of the most strident defenders of the very system (FPTP) which allowed the Starmer’s elected dictatorship in the first place.
Hitchens has been on a decades long grift by getting wealthy whining about the results of a system that he, ultimately, defends.
Morgoth does an excellent analysis of the position that Hitchens has taken:

Very true.
Hitchens is a person of trenchant opinions, sometimes correct, sometimes not. His defence of the voting system is risible, like his idea that MPs will feel the pressure if enough voters write to the MP’s office threatening to withdraw their votes in 5 years’ time! Rather pathetic.

On the subject of cathedrals. This newly built (2020) one in Moscow is the main cathedral of the Russian armed forces.
Built out of tin and wood, it looks magnificent from the outside but I found the inside just too dark and too busy. One mosaic would have been sufficient. It is a pity that Russell wasn’t able to explain the scenes depicted in the mosaics.
Still, a huge undertaking, hopefully appreciated by the Russian people.

Speaking about the over-the-top and (I am quite sure) eventually ineffective security measures taken by the city´s government in Paris I remember watching, three days a go, a video filmed by a Parisian restaurant owner showing fairly empty streets full of barricades. The man said “I had 28 cancellations for dinner and many of my customers could not come because the QR codes were not working and the police would not let them through”

Mark Lewis is not only a horrible, hateful person but also a psychopath; fancy using such awful language on social media knowing that it will be recorded automatically and used against him as evidence. The man is really deranged (as his friend Myerson)
Incidentally, I noticed that Wilson said “Day 3 of 56. Mark Lewis and Patron Law have not yet paid my costs.” What would happen if Lewis and Patron Law do not pay his costs? I am quite sure Lewis will NOT pay a penny. I have the nasty feeling that this evil bastard will get away with it. (I hope I am wrong…)

I am of course uninvolved in the case, and know only what I have read, mostly on Twitter/X. However, my speculation tends to the following: the costs order (and damages order) having been made, the likelihood is that the Jew defendants (Cantor and Mendelsohn) will be unable to pay up on time.
I assume that a “caution” or “prohibition” will already have been placed on the relevant Land Registry register (there are three), warning or prohibiting sale of the defendants’ houses, so that they cannot quickly sell up and hide the proceeds of sale.
The relatively short time permitted the defendants to pay will certainly be insufficient for them to take any legal action against Lewis and/or his Patron Law foothold in England, or at least to pursue it to conclusion.
On that basis, it seems quite likely that those defendants are thoroughly screwed, as the late Lord Denning would certainly *not* have put it. The defendants might be able to recover from Lewis and/or Patron Law part or all of the monies they have to pay to James Wilson, but not in the time now available— only a couple of months.
Lewis lives outside the jurisdiction of England and Wales, and has —as far as I know— no, or no substantial, assets here. I have no idea off the top of my head whether an English court judgment can be enforced in Israel (where he apparently owns a flat, in Eilat), or under what conditions. However, *if* those defendants are able to sue Lewis and Patron Law “jointly and severally”, then the end result might be that that firm, based in London, will have to pick up the bill in the end.
I should add that, having not practised law for some 16 years now, any “advice” or legal speculation from me must come with a “health warning”…

Thank you for the information. I found it unbelievable and shameful that a crook like Mark Lewis is allowed to practice law in England. I was once, in Australia, a victim of a fellow like him. He was the owner of the picture framing shop where I was working (he owned 3 shops). Suddenly, we found that he declared himself bankrupt and there was nothing we could do. He obviously transferred all his money to some tax haven.

I have to say I do not give a damn for all those hateful “woke” students that suddenly discovered how evil Israel is. Until a few weeks ago they were happy persecuting and terrorising any teacher or professor who opposed their neo-Bolshevik agenda. Now, they are going to have a taste of their own medicine. The enemy of my enemy is NOT my friend!
