Academic standards, such as “marking criteria, rubrics and journal requirements that favour written knowledge over that which is communicated creatively (i.e. through painting or performance)” and also “notions that knowledge must be scientifically tested and proven to meet coloniality’s contorted standards of fact” are deemed by her to be forms of colonial oppression.

This raises the question: Why is Cambridge awarding its highest academic credential to a project whose author openly presents accepted academic standards as oppressive constraints to be undermined and resisted? It’s clear the problem of academic standards at Cambridge wasn’t isolated to the case of Jason Arday, but appears to be a form of systemic rot.

It is all very well to talk about academic freedom etc, and in general I approve of it, but it is clear that the universities, Cambridge in particular, have become a swamp which must be drained and cleared of trash.

To be “recruited” and then sent to those crumbling front lines is a near death-sentence, of course. The regime is losing 1,000-2,000 men daily (dead, badly wounded, or captured). A number of loosely-connected and supposedly “true” events, many of which however never happened at all, and others which did happen but which were hugely exaggerated. Invented and put out as propaganda during or, mostly, after the Second World War; packaged-up and given the capital letter “Holocaust”; given out to as if holy writ to schoolchildren who are specifically told not to question the supposed “historical facts” taught to them.

Many of the said “facts” are not really facts at all, and many of the supposedly “true events” experienced by so-called “survivors” were hoaxes, made up by the supposed “survivors” in an attempt (in many cases, successful initially) to get money or attention, or both. Another motive has often been to encourage support for the post-1948 Israeli state.
