Saturday quiz

Well, this week I scored 5/10, again beating political journalist John Rentoul, who scored a modest 3/10. I knew the answers to questions 2, 5, 6, 7, and 10. Had I not misread the question, I should also have got no. 8, and in the back of my mind I knew number 1 as well. Never mind.
Interesting to recall to mind that, if all ice on the Earth were to melt, sea levels would rise by no less than 230 feet. Where I once lived in London, Little Venice, is only about 60 ft above sea level. Where I now live is about 80 ft a.s.l., and where I was largely brought up, Caversham Heights, near Reading, on the border of Berkshire and South Oxfordshire, is —despite the “Heights” name— still only 180 ft a.s.l. Indeed, where I lived in New Jersey is only about 150 ft. a.s.l. despite its rather American name of Skytop Gardens.
Time was, when storms and hurricanes had suitably tempestuous female names such as Veronica, Pamela, and Annie. Political correctness then took over even the weather forecast.
I rarely repost such an Israel-lobby scribbler, but truth is truth. In fact, I made a very similar comment myself on the blog, yesterday.
The police have largely given up their proper job of protecting the public and detecting crime (and deterring it), and have become the militia of the “woke” state. Criticize the groups that do much of the real crime (think caravans, or drill “music”, reggae etc, or Romanian passports carried by non-European-looking women in long dresses stuffed with stolen goods) and you yourself will fall victim to the poundshop Stasi that the UK police has become.
40 years ago, Surrey Police were very efficient; times seem to have changed.
As for Essex Police, they tried and failed to have me prosecuted for writing online the truth nearly 8 years ago. My blog article about it (written 6 months later) has proven one of my most popular, having had thousands of views:

If a type of insect were so cruel and destructive, people would call in Rentokil.
Lindsey Graham stands out even in the U.S. Congress as a complete doormat for Israel and the American Jewish lobby. He should not be permitted to continue.

As for the threat to “crush the economy of the UK“, be careful what you wish for, bastard. The UK and EU states may end up forming a rapprochement with Russia, barring American interference with our economies and cultures, and letting the USA die on the vine, preoccupied with its upcoming racial/societal/cultural war.
Gung-ho careerist all-too-ready to have a war with Russia. Does he also accept that, in such a war, the UK might become a devastated irradiated wasteland? Does he imagine that that is somehow brave, or honourable? All because of a cabal of Jew-Zionists who are running a shambolic and brutal dictatorship in Kiev. Why? Meaning— “what is the real agenda?”…

Bar news
“A King’s Counsel who once headed up the Criminal Bar Association allegedly used his powerful and influential position to coax an aspiring barrister into ‘unwanted’ sexual activity, a tribunal has heard.
Navjot ‘Jo’ Sidhu, who is married, faces 10 charges of professional misconduct that pertain to allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour with two young women who came to him for advice.
Sidhu, who hails from Southall in west London, wrote he ‘never wanted to be a barrister’ in a column for Counsel magazine in 2023, in which he extolled the virtues of equality and diversity.“

I can feel the “diversity” from here!
Of course, “those people” are not the only ones who do such things as alleged, but proportionately, they do far far more of such activity than English people.

Surely the prison uniforms are the wrong colour. Also, no stripes.
I bloody well hope not!

Prison justice has its advantages.
Saves money. Prevents parole boards from ever releasing paedophiles.
Anything else?
Men who are serving life without parole and IPP prisoners in the UK have nothing to lose and are therefore highly dangerous.

People opposed to the use of the death penalty often say replacing it with life without parole is an perfect alternative. However, as you say, someone imprisioned for a whole life term has nothing to lose and therefore that person has an endless amount of time in which to plan to escape from the prison. Prisioners serving these sentences in America have escaped from prision and then gone on to murder people or commit other serious offences. Also, being imprisioned for a true life term does not prevent such a prisioner from murdering a prison officer or a fellow immate. This has also happened quite often in the USA.
In contrast to a life without parole prisioner, a person subjected to capital punishment is incapacitated permanently and can not commit any further crimes least of all serious ones like murder either outside of prison or inside of one.

Also, is a whole life term with no chance of parole more humane than the death penalty? Some people would say it is not and consider it more cruel. In Italy, some prisioners serving these sentences actually petitioned the Italian government for them to be allowed to be put to death.
The Pope thinks life without parole sentences are just as cruel as capital punishment ones. He has called life without parole sentences merely a variation on the death penalty ie a ‘silent and delayed death sentence’ and wants to see both abolished.

Eff off, Mr Graham. We will arrest Mr Netanhayu whether you like it or not. Threatening us with sanctions if we do so is impertinant and would be a significant question mark as to whether the US is a real ally of us. Real allies do not do such a thing.
America really does need to stop allowing the overly powerful Zionist Pro Israel Lobby there to have such an influence on its actions and foreign policy. Surely, some laws could be passed to restrict the lobby’s activities?

Almost all members of the U.S. Congress are in hock to the American Jewish lobby, many literally so.
Forget about laws being passed by such puppets of Israel.
As for the UK arresting Netanyahu, while that would be amusing, it is unlikely to happen. He will simply not set foot here, thank God (I would not want him polluting our land and air anyway). Starmer is a puppet of Israel and the Jewish lobby, but will avoid the dissonance by making it clear, diplomatically, that Netanyahu should not visit.

Britain should seek friendly relations with ALL the countries in our immediate world neighbourhood ie Continental Europe AND Russia. Despite Brexit (or Brexshit as some people increasingly refer to it as) Britain is still a European country culturally, ethnically, geographically and historically. Portugal is infact our OLDEST ally with a treaty between us going back several hundred years.

We have a lot of incredibly DIM people at the top of our armed forces. Puffed-up, arrogant generals etc are the worst of them. How, in God’s name, could we possibly fight Russia when they have a million plus soldiers in their army and ours is the smallest since Napolean was France’s leader and you could put every serving British soldier in Wembley Stadium and still have spare seats? With idiots like that high up in our armed forces it is no wonder it has severe recruitment problems.
Yes, Britain could and should have a friendly understanding with Russia whether the EU or the USA likes that or not. We should trade with a country that has 140 odd million people. It is a large potential market for British goods and services. This is especially important now as Brexit (or is it Brexshit?) has made trading with EU countries harder.
Russia is not Britain’s enemy. At least one part of that vast country is an integral part of Europe. They are in our immediate world neighbourhood so we need to try and get along with them.

Exactly.
Any war, though, between Russia and the UK, unless merely skirmishing around the Baltic, would be nuclear and, in that regard, Russia has something like 6,000 such weapons, but the UK about 200. All very well to say that the UK does not stand alone, but can the USA be relied on, in the crunch? Frankly, I think not.
Also, all very well to say Britain’s nuclear weapons might destroy all significant Russian bases and cities, but Russia would still exist, at least in part(s), whereas Britain and its people would *not* still exist. Big difference.

Yes, Britain only has around two hundred nuclear weapons and the last time I saw a test of Trident this ultra-expensive weapon did not even fire properly. There must be question marks as to whether any of them actually work. Furthermore, is our so-called ‘independent’ nuclear deterrent one we CAN operate by ourselves wholly alone? There are various conflicting theories about this. Some people say we would need American permission as they have the launch codes.
Meanwhile, France has 300 plus nukes which can be launched by nuclear subs AND nuclear bombers and CAN be used truely independently by that country.

They aren’t dim. They are traitors, hoping for promotions, knighthoods, peerages, and of course post-retirement lucrative positions on (((corporate boards))) in the (((war industry))), the (((banks))) in the City, etc.
A well-known field marshal and former Chief of the Defense Staff (currently in the House of Lords), was a director at the (((rothschild bank))) after retiring from the army. This individual also holds a myriad of other positions on various (((corporate boards))). This former Guards officer has made millions of pounds (and dollars) since retiring.
That is the sort of thing senior military officers and police officers aspire to these days.
Their goal is to rise to as high a rank as possible, and then leverage their position the military/police/MI5/MI6 to obtain high-paying post-retirement jobs in the (((corporate world))).
That’s why the high-ranking officer types never criticize the destruction of Britain. Enriching themselves by currying favor with the (((globalist elites))) is far more important to them than standing up for their country.

An Indian as well! They are supposed to be the ‘best’ immigrant group who do no harm at all and only bring ‘enrichment’ to the depressingly dull and cultureless United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. They are certainly the non-Conservative Party’s favoured pets.

Well, it is probably true that they murder, assault, drug deal, rape ect less than Pakistanis and Africans, blacks from Jamaica ect but their rate of criminality is still probably a bit higher than ours.
Out of all immigrant groups, the Chinese seem to be the most law abiding and productive but neither Labour or fake Conservative fawn over them and help to give them safe seats in parliament over British candidates like Kemi was aided in Saffron Walden/North West Essex and Rishi in Richmond and Northallerton.

Are you surpised about that? You should not be. Tommy only really seems to care about the Zionist state of Israel and the kind of Islamist extremism Zionist Jews whinge about but who helped to bring that scurge here. He fails to see the bigger mass immigration problem and he is not willing to identify all the people who created the issue.
