Looks as though, as in Ukraine, Georgia and elsewhere in the former Soviet Union in the fairly recent past, things are now hotting up in Belarus. Existing discontents are probably being used by the New World Order [NWO] conspiracy to bring Belarus (former Belorussia) into the NWO/NATO matrix.
Below, a “protester” runs down members of a riot squad (probably Belarus KGB-Alpha, a kind of spetsnaz unit) and drives away.

Belarus is effectively a dictatorship, but one which has some positive aspects.

The village had, formerly, nothing but the tarmac road laid down in Soviet times; otherwise, nothing, not a school, shop, or even a well.
The presenter describes the place as a “village”, but in England we would call it a “hamlet”. I think that the distinction is that a “hamlet” is very small and/or has no church. The Russian language before the revolution had the same distinction: a “derevnye” [деревня] was a village (with church), whereas a “selo” [село] was a hamlet or tiny village usually without a church.
In Soviet times, with most local churches destroyed, left to become ruined, or used as barns etc, places were often designated simply as “settlements”. A “settlement” was (or is) a “poselenye” [поселение]. Another word found is “gorodok” [городок] though that really means “small town”, a town being a “gorod”, which can be anything from a place with maybe 1,000 inhabitants to somewhere as big as Moscow, with millions.
It does show the importance of the individual in human and social life: one person can make a huge difference, the crucial difference.
Migrant-invaders
As far as I know, I was the first person to use the term “migrant-invaders”. That was when I had a Twitter account (from 2010, effectively from 2011; the Jews had me expelled in 2018).
This morning, I was listening to a few minutes of the now-almost-irrelevant BBC Radio 4 Today Programme; pathetically-poor Liz Truss was being grilled by Nick Robinson about the hundreds of invaders now crossing the Channel daily. It seems that at least a handful (about 20) Conservative Party MPs have signed a letter quite correctly describing the migrants as “migrant-invaders“, and —needless to say— Today presenter Robinson took umbrage at the phrasing. Idiotic Truss would not endorse the language her colleagues have used.
Still, interesting. Who knows, maybe my blog is more influential than I myself sometimes imagine…

Yes. As I have blogged recently several times (echoed by Peter Hitchens and others), what is really crazy is that the sort of people who used to be rebellious, who prioritized “rights” and “civil liberties” and “freedoms” in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s (I mean those who think of themselves as “Left”, [“libertarian” or other] “socialists”, even “anarchists”) are now those who are begging, literally in some cases, to have stricter control by the State, stricter rules, harsher penalties for going out or not wearing a mask or muzzle. That mentally-disordered “antifa” nut, Stuchbery, is far from being the only one.
Look at Twitter. Virtually all those who identify, on or in the Twitter echo-chamber, as “anti-racist”, “FBPE”, “Remain”, “socialist”, pro-EU etc, the pro-Jewish lobby mob too, are fanatical in their support for facemask-wearing, “lockdown” and anything else that restricts the British people during the overblown Coronavirus “crisis”.
As for Australia, what has happened to them? I myself was there for 3 years as a child (in Sydney) and attended school there: Middle Harbour PS and North Sydney Boys’ High. 1967-69. The police were never even seen where I lived (admittedly a fairly affluent area, Mosman and Cremorne); I never noticed any police even at busy places where I might swim, such as Manly Beach and Balmoral Beach (the latter the nearest to my home), or even much in the city centre (they call that the “CBD” now).
Of course, Australia is now “diverse”: it has imported millions of non-Europeans since the 1970s, and its population is about double the 12 million who lived in Australia when I was at school there…

I despise Owen Jones because of his silly, immature, neo- Marxist political opinions not because he happens to be homosexual. I couldn’t care less what his sexuality is as, after all, it wasn’t his own free choice.
Japan is very traditional in many ways yet they are quite tolerant as regards homosexuality in that the practice off it has never been an offence unlike here until the 1960’s.
Many gays are leftist and globalist like Owen Jones is but some are intensely patriotic and more so, in reality, than a beer-swilling ‘football patriot’.

I have only had reservations about two of the pro gay reforms to our laws: 1) You could say the equal age of consent is a touch young at 16 and that the compromise age of 18 our parliament voted for in 1994 is more appropriate and 2.) the allowance of gay adoption as it is not just an individual right but one that involves children.
Gay CIVIL marriage is not something to die in a ditch over and allowing them to serve in the military is ok too provided they adhere to the normal standards of military discipline others have to follow.

Countries which have First Past The Post as a standalone electoral system are usually: 1.) ex British colonies like Canada 2.) I have, m’Lord of Essex, been to both Bermuda and the Cayman Islands (Grand Cayman). Not really countries or states even formally, both being British Overseas Territories (formerly British Dependent Territories); “fake states”, though not “states” even nominally. I find it hard to take seriously even the small states which are actual states, like Monaco and Liechtenstein (have visited the latter, but only for the day).

Bermuda is almost totally self-governing (I believe the government there has more powers than any other British overseas territory) and these powers are so extensive they used to have both capital punishment and judicial corporal punishment on the statute book until as late as 1999!
They abolished these sentences under pressure from Bliar’s Government in London who threatened to do it for them unless they done it themselves. It is a little known fact that the last hanging carried out on British soil occurred in Bermuda in 1977 after a local Black Power man murdered an ex Tory MP who was appointed to be the island’s British governor.

There was a similar case in Trinidad in the 1970s. Of course, Trinidad is and even then was independent. That involved a young woman called Gail something or other, whose father was or had been a Conservative MP. The murderer was another “Black Power” activist, “Michael X”. There is a theory, possibly correct, but not mooted at the time publicly (there may have been a D-notice) that the victim was working as an SIS agent when she was killed.

Peter is wrong in that he fondly imagines a light touch response by government will work in this country as it has in Japan but then Japan has a homogenous virtually exclusively Japanese population that is naturally obedient and displays the required amounts of social and national solidarity, self responsibility and concern for the rights and health of others. I think it is noteworthy that even the tiny Principality of Monaco which is world famous for being a sunny bolt hole and tax haven for the globe’s super-rich doesn’t use First Past The Post not even as a part of its parallel voting system which Japan also has though they DO have FPTP as ONE part of theirs.
Monaco uses a party list and bloc voting.
To my mind, the Tories are dedicated to freezing FPTP as our system in aspic for all time for two main reasons: 1.) They are afraid that under an electoral system like PR whereby many more votes would count they would have to change their economic policies and tax policies towards the very rich and 2.) they feel they would need to take a harder line on immigration/asylum/law and order in order to not lose too many votes to a party to their ‘Right’ like Merkel’s CDU has done with respect to the Afd party in Germany.

Eg, in this country in 1951 Clement Attlee’s Labour Party had MORE VOTES than Winston Churchill’s Conservatives did yet it was the Tories who won MORE SEATS and therefore formed a government.
Conversly, in February 1974 Edward Heath’s Conservative Party polled MORE VOTES yet Harold Wilson’s Labour Party had more seats so Heath had to resign as PM and his party lost power.

The Tories and Labour Party dinosaurs say FPTP is ‘fair’. Well, that is ONLY true in a very, very, narrow sense ie that the candidate WITHIN a SINGLE seat with the highest vote wins.
BUT that is where the problems begin with this system! People in this country think they are voting for a government or a party when they put their single X against the name of the Tory, Labour, Lib Dem candidate but, strictly speaking, they ARE ONLY voting for Joe Bloggs as an INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATE in their OWN CONSTITUENCY.

The Conservative Party, the Labour Party, the Liberal Democrats etc are POLITICAL PARTIES and NOT just a random collection of individuals. First Past The Post DOES NOT recognise a role for COLLECTIVE ENTITIES like political parties ONLY INDIVIDUAL CANDIDATES in 600 plus INDIVIDUAL SEATS so it is no wonder it produces disproportionate results at the NATIONAL LEVEL which is what the House of Commons is MEANT to be.
FPTP does NOT give us an EXPLICIT VOTE for a POLITICAL PARTY.

What we need to tackle standalone FPTP’s myriad of severe problems is TWO votes each: ONE vote for whoever we think would make the best MP for our constituencies and ANOTHER vote for a POLITICAL PARTY in an electoral region.

M’Lord of Essex, the main argument against that system and other similar non-FPTP systems is that of relative complexity. The people need simplicity. Admittedly, the basic idea you propose is fairly straightforward, but some people may say “not sufficiently”.

There could also be a secret third reason shared with Labour ie both parties have been infiltrated by Zionist Jewish Pro Israel/Israel First extremists ie the ‘Friends of Israel’ groupings etc and have received money from the Pro Israel Lobby.
That lobby would find their job much harder if we had Proportional Representation since there would be a small increase in the number of parties represented in the House of Commons. Basically, the more electorally viable parties in parliament there are then the more parties you have to infiltrate.

I went to Jewkipedia for some basic information about the country, and it is highly ironic that Alexander Lukashenko is attacked as “a dictator” and “a tyrant” when in the rotten Western world there is no freedom of speech or association.

Belarus isn’t in the EU whilst they are in Europe. If they wanted to join the EU they would have to rid themselves of capital punishment as it is a condition of EU membership that countries must not use the death penalty.
