Disturbing news from the new British police state

Here is that video:

Now I should say straightaway that I am not very familiar with the name Alex Belfield, having only seen that name a few times on Twitter. I believe that he was on BBC local radio in the Midlands or North at one time.

What interests me more is that here is another case of someone who runs a non-System, non-msm, Internet “radio station” being targeted by the forces of the state. There have been other recent cases.

In Cornwall, last week, a man was charged with five counts under the Public Order Act 1986. He ran an Internet “radio station”.

Tomorrow, 30 March 2021, the persecuted singer-songwriter Alison Chabloz faces trial yet again, and yet again the instigator of police/CPS action was the malicious Jewish-Zionist cabal known as “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, who were also the instigators of the above-mentioned action against someone in Cornwall. As to Alex Belfield, I do not know.

What interests me, apart from the Zionist aspect, is that in all three mentioned cases, Internet “radio” forms the background. The real or broadcast radio in the UK is “regulated” (strictly controlled) by the System, via OFCOM. Internet “radio” is not regulated or controlled by OFCOM. Thus the System is now scrabbling to find ways to shut down the “wrong” messages.

Alison Chabloz recently made a first appearance as defendant in yet another case involving Internet “radio”. Once again, the malicious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” is involved.

Incidentally, anyone who wants to support Alison Chabloz at her trial under the notorious “bad law” of the Commuications Act 2003, s.127, starting tomorrow (set down for Tuesday and Wednesday this week) can do so. Westminster Magistrates’ Court, 181 Marylebone Road, London. Nearest Underground: Edgware Road (any line). https://courttribunalfinder.service.gov.uk/courts/westminster-magistrates-court

Answer: don’t have “students of colour”…

Which people will not put up with it? The scared rabbits who wear facemasks on clifftops and in supermarket car parks? Sadly, the British people have become rather pathetic.

Exactly. This is all designed to facilitate the next 33 years starting in 2022. The Great Reset, together with the Great Replacement. The Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan. NWO. ZOG. A concerted attempt to rule the world.

News from “the ****hole of England”…

I happened to see this news item from estuarial Essex: https://www.essexlive.news/news/essex-news/everything-you-need-know-thurrock-2130524.

The streets of Thurrock are plagued by the activity of a violent gang. Responsible for stabbings, acid attacks and sexual assaults, C17 first rose to prominence in May, 2017.”

[the multikulti society in action]

I was only there once in my life, unless you include driving on the nearby M25 and over the Dartford Crossing to go to Kent a few times. My only visit, as such, was this one: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/.

Seems that the police of that part of Essex are now faced by real crime…Oh, and it also seems that The Guardian does occasionally report accurately (or did, 8 years ago): https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2012/jul/25/thurrock-capital-misery.

David Lammy

Good grief! Someone sent me the clip below. I knew that Lammy was/is a deadhead, and in fact I have been meaning for a long time to add an assessment of him to my “Deadhead MPs” series, but…well, see for yourself!

People will say, “oh, but he is a barrister, has several degrees etc”…yes, and one of the most stupid (and ignorant) people I ever met was a former Sierra Leone diplomat, a High Commissioner to the UK when in London, and ambassador to some other state. That African had degrees from one of the most famous English universities, one from the Sorbonne, one from either Harvard or Yale (I forget).

Imagine Lammy as either Lord Chancellor or Attorney-General! Still, now that Keir Starmer is running what is left of Labour into the ground, such appointment is unlikely.

My Twitter account (removed in 2018 at the instigation of a Jewish/Zionist cabal) was one of rather few accounts followed by Icke. Now he too has been removed from Twitter, by the same or connected (((forces))). We must fight for freedom now, or Lilliputian ties will bind us forever.

Diary Blog, 15 December 2020

A poor start to the day as—once again— Radio 4 Today Programme invites a Jewish “rabbi” on to exhale platitudes on its Thought for the Day slot. Once again, I say “why?“; Jews are “only” about a half or so of 1% of the UK population, but are on that Radio 4 slot about twice a week, so about 40% of the time. 80 times the numerical proportion based on percentage of the UK population.

Why is that slot so disproportionately Jewish? Also, if the disproportionate influence shows itself there, is that the case with the rest of the Today Programme and other Radio 4 output? I fear that it is.

Incidentally, if you want to see what “Zionist occupation” (as in ZOG”) looks like when writ large, you need only look at the tweet below, from occupied Germany…

Dwarfing and eclipsing the nearby German and European Christmas tree, that ugly structure says “we now rule you“.

God…an ugly black woman playing the part of Anne Boleyn! A key part of England’s history! This country is so screwed, it is hard to believe…

Yet, and as Griffin says, a white person is now all but prohibited from playing a black character, even a fictional one, and whether Othello or a black minstrel…

God! What an evil-looking bunch. They look like murderers (and quite likely are).

All true, but sending letters to the MPs of the Westminster monkeyhouse will not really activate or frighten that corrupt pack.

Well, maybe, but I blogged long ago, a year ago, that in a situation where an incompetent or unpleasant government is effectively a dictatorship, albeit notionally “elected”, opposition comes, and must come, from within the ruling party itself. That was even true of “real” dictatorships, as in the socialist world before 1989.

As to this government, opposition to these ruinous policies may be encouraged a little by letters received, but I think that at least a few MPs are at last waking up to the possible consequences down the line of a collapsing economy, high unemployment, very high youth unemployment, inflation etc.

Exactly. For once I agree with faux-proletarian scribbler Dan Hodges, who has pointed out in his tweets that, whether “lockdowns” “work” (reduce infections) or not, they are simply not sustainable for very long, either economically or socially.

There is a choice in terms of judgment: is the Government (and some others in Europe) merely incompetent, or are the political leaders deliberately following a transnational conspiratorial agenda (the “Great Reset”)?

Yes, but if need be Russia can put three million men in the field, of which 350,000 are regular Army personnel on active duty. That is around six or seven times the strength of the British Army; Russia also has available, on its western flank, at least 800 tanks: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1st_Guards_Tank_Army_(Russia).

I support the right of Estonia to full independence, but these NATO games on Russia’s border are poking “the Bear” for no good reason. Britain has no need to again make an enemy of Russia.

In 1939, Britain gave a “guarantee” to Poland, a guarantee which turned out to be worthless, a bad cheque. When Germany invaded from the west, and the Soviet Union invaded from the east, Britain and France nominally declared war on Germany but in fact did nothing.

Perhaps Hegel’s aphorism is correct and “we learn nothing from History except that we learn nothing from History“…

It occurs to me: “if Harry Cole of the Sun “newspaper” is so impressed by one main battle tank, what would he think if 800 appeared and advanced towards him?”…

Another Harry Cole tweet:

Again, I fully support British fishermen and the integrity of UK territorial waters, including our right under the Law of the Sea to an Exclusive Economic Zone, where applicable, but this is not an easy issue.

If Royal Navy vessels defend British fishermen and the fish in those waters from French fishermen, and if then the French Navy moves to defend the French fishing fleet, could there be undeclared war (akin to the 1970s Cod War off Iceland) in the Channel? As far as I know, that would be the first UK-France naval “engagement” in the Channel since the time of Napoleon.

There is another point: a high proportion (it may be 40%, it may be 60%) of fish taken in UK waters is then exported at once to EU states, mostly France and Spain. If France and Spain ban imports of British fish, or (via the EU) impose ruinously high tariffs, that will kill much of what is left of the UK fishing industry as surely as if the foreign fishermen simply took all the fish…

The only possible good thing is that fish in the UK will be cheaper, so at least the British consumer will benefit to that extent.

Windrush Generation”

So it seems that the claimants in the Windrush matter will now each be getting between £10,000 and £100,000 in cash, with a few even getting in excess of that! Jesus H. Christ! I just read that there are 500,000 potential beneficiaries! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-55300494; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43782241

So the hit on public finances (ultimately, paid out of taxation by the British people…) might be as much as £50 BILLION! Even if it turns to be nearer to £100 million or £1 billion, rather than tens of billions, I fail to see why most should get anything or anything beyond a nominal sum. The vast majority were not deported or detained.

So now, even if all that happened was that someone got an unexpected official letter telling them something such as that they might at some point be subject to deportation, they are going to get between £10,000 and £100,000!

I should imagine that many real British people who have been cheated in this society would welcome similar payouts to themselves!

Take a look at anti-British, anti-European Indian, Ash Sarkar, in that video. Forget her cod-“Marxism”. She openly says it: “White population of the UK down by 600,000, while the non-white population is up by 1.2 Million….face it lads— we’re winning.” As I say, forget the post-“Marxism”. It’s pure “race hate”…race hate by non-whites and against the white people who have created the vast bulk of what is worthwhile in our contemporary world, indeed the modern world since about 1400 AD.

If anyone wants to know why The Guardian is on its last legs, look no further than the sort of silly, entitled, lazy pseudo-feminist idiot-journalism personified by Zoe Williams.

It only takes one candle or a Swan Vesta to pierce the darkness. That is why both the Jews and the “antifa” idiots hate any free speech. That is why (((they))) put out huge effort from 2014 to late 2016 to get me disbarred (even though I had ceased Bar practice years before, in 2008). That is why (((they))) have made repeated false accusations and complaints against me to police, Twitter etc (they succeeded with Twitter: I was expelled in 2018).

(((They)) are often rather more stupid than they think they are. It was only because “they” conspired to have me disbarred that I started this blog, which becomes ever-more popular. I only started the almost-daily blogging after “they” had me expelled from Twitter in 2018.

The same is true of Alison Chabloz. It was only after “they” caused her to lose her job as a singer that she started to realize what a menace they constitute, and so to speak up more loudly; and it was only after “they” started to persecute her even more that she posted her amusing satirical songs online. Indeed, her 2017-2018 prosecution (initially a private prosecution by the malicious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”), and conviction, has only spread her celebrity around the world. Even some of the more perceptive Jews have seen that, and regret (for that reason) that Alison Chabloz was ever prosecuted. They have tweeted about it.

Interesting 2018 video

Sadly, though, Peter Hitchens is the sort of person who wants to have “a civilized discussion” with the enemies of Europe’s future, with Krishnan anti-Brit, with Owen Jones, with Ash Sarkar etc, maybe with the “antifa” idiots, and with the Islamists and Zionists too, who knows?

My view? There is no point in pretending that we are in an Oxford Union debate. These matters are, not far down the line, matters of life and death. Britain, and all Europe, face existential threats. The response must be adequate and more than adequate.

Diary Blog, 1 November 2020, including thoughts about the latest “lockdown” (shutdown) craziness

More System censorship

OFCOM has taken on greater powers, purporting to censor video clips shown online in the UK.

I wonder what lobby is behind that…

After the destruction of free speech generally, in broadcasting, on social media, on YouTube, on other video sites, what’s next? Blogging sites such as WordPress, unless they fight back.

Once all free speech is destroyed, there will be only one way to fight back…

Transformation of the land

The Bealtaine Cottage project, like the much earlier, larger and very different one at Findhorn [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Findhorn_Foundation] and others elsewhere, can be very instructive.

The website of Bealtaine Cottage shows what a transformation is possible in a fairly dull and almost derelict area: https://bealtainecottage.com/before-permaculture/. That link is well worth clicking on, to see the “before and after” photographs.

The same could be said of Findhorn.

When I had a Twitter account, I occasionally interacted with the Bealtaine Cottage account, until a couple of malicious Jews trolled that other account, saying that the lady operating it should not be talking to a “neonazi” (after which she, rather foolishly, blocked me). “They” ruin everything; it is what they do…

The Internet holds out the promise of connection for isolated communities and individuals, commercial possibilities, help and advice etc. In a general societal collapse, such communities and individals could be the key to recovery, especially if the Internet continues. It was originally developed with that in mind: survival (after a nuclear war). What would happen now, I do not know.

Child benefit

Yet that talking head presenter and others (eg Peter Hitchens) are unwilling to make the leap from thinking that this whole “virus” disaster is a result of governmental incompetence, to thinking that there is a supranational agenda behind it.

Google these: The Great Reset, The Great Replacement, the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan, NWO, ZOG etc.

Incidentally, Brexit, as I suspected would happen, is going to be, at least mainly, Brexit In Name Only [“BRINO”]. Maybe 90% EU nonsense continuing, but under UK rather than EU banners.

Lockdown (shutdown)

[Boris-idiot, not very long ago…]

I suppose that, when we hear or read about historical events such as the 1930s and 1940s Soviet purges, or the hunt for heretics by the Roman Catholic Church in the late Middle Ages and Renaissance, we wonder “whatever can have possessed them?“, and perhaps we smugly conclude that it was a form of mass hysteria that could never afflict us. Well, think again…

Here we are in the UK, keeping (most people) to a ridiculous “Rule of Six”, something which has really no scientific basis, and was laid down (and the term itself coined) by the part-Jew public entertainer turned ridiculous “Prime Minister”; Boris-idiot.

“We” (most of the public) have been frightened out of “our” collective skin by a virus not infecting most people, and which kills about 1% of those who are infected in the UK. It has killed one individual person out of every 8,000 (!) on the Earth. Not one in eight, not one in 800, but one in 8,000!

“We” (most of the public) are wearing (being forced to wear) facemasks in shops, supermarkets, on trains (where a study has shown the chance of being infected without a facemask is only 11,000:1 (and so the chance of being infected on a train and then dying is about one in a million…). It’s mad.

Why are “we” complying with the above and other crazy “measures”? Well, partly because “we” (most people?) believe that “we” are both in danger of infection, and also that facemasks etc help to prevent that infection (which they do not, or only peripherally).

Then there is the fact that the “rules” are at least notionally “the law”, and most British people are still law-abiding most of the time. In fact, those “rules” may be legally invalid, but that is above most people’s heads, and so “caviar to the general”). Most of the public just take them as being prima facie valid.

For those not sufficiently intimidated, there is the toytown police with which to contend, brandishing their now-huge fines.

Finally, there is the combined effect of social pressure from the brainwashed many, and the guilt propaganda (“if you fail to wear a mask, you are careless about the lives and health of others, and are a kind of murderer or terrorist“).

The result of all that is huge pressure to conform, which is what this is all about, behind the scenes. Part of The Great Reset (openly admitted by the World Economic Forum etc).

The next step? Probably, long-term or permanent “isolation” (incarceration) of, not only “the sick” (including the vast majority of infectees who are asymptomatic), but also the dissidents, those opposed to migration-invasion, those opposed to the Jew-Zionist lobby etc…

Idiot deadhead MP thinks (as many do) that Sweden is a strange land where people live isolated lives, probably in remote log cabins. In fact, most Swedes live in cities, towns, suburbs. Just like the UK…

Exactly.

What is the plan of the international conspiracy (or “consensus”)?

First of all, the destruction of Europe as the leading population in the world. There are several ways in which the international conspiracy is plotting that.

First of all, by encouraging migration-invasion by blacks, browns and “yellows” (mainly Chinese).

Secondly, by making Europeans a minority in their own lands. This has several aspects. Firstly, as above: migration-invasion. Secondly, by births to non-Europeans but in Europe; thirdly, the propaganda which puts white Northern Europeans down in terms of history, culture, ability etc. You name it. The “Black Lives Matter” nonsense, the attack on our history (statues, heroic tales, great personalities etc).

It would also include the fact that the actual “black” population of the UK is only about 3% or 4%, and the whole black/brown/other non-European population no more than 20%, yet pretty much every TV ad now has blacks and/or mixed race individuals in it, not infrequently a white/black couple (usually a white woman with a black “husband” or “boyfriend”). That also applies to the popular “soaps” such as Emmerdale, and even the period dramas set in the almost entirely white England of 1940, 1950 or 1960 or so: Inspector George Gently, Grantchester etc. “...and is there still honey for tea?

Propaganda. It is noticed by many, though I think more by those who are older, maybe wiser and/or who actually remember what England/UK used to be like before the System “agenda” picked up the pace (to pick a year, before 1989, which was the last 33-year-cycle year. The next one is 2022…).

2022, the next really significant agenda-setting year.

Thirdly, the international conspiracy wants to marginalize Europe by the above methods, and then by reducing Europe to a vassal of NWO/ZOG, placing North America and China/Far East in the forefront.

My solution to that attack of Evil is, firstly, for the UK and all Europe to join forces with Russia and the Russian people; secondly, to remove non-Europeans (as large populations) from Europe; three, remove those who constitute a Trojan Horse in the UK and Europe; four, eliminate the decadence in culture and the msm.

BBC Radio 4 PM

Happened to hear the System current affairs show, PM, yesterday. They had on Professor Ferguson, he of the “800,000 will die in the UK by the Summer“, he of or formerly of “SAGE” (i.e. DUMB— Department Under Matt and Boris), he who broke his own “rule” when he allowed his married “ho” visit him three times during “lockdown” in the Spring.

Incredibly, PM did not tax him on his hypocrisy, neither, moe importantly, did the interviewer question Ferguson about his many disastrous mis-predictions, going back years, to the foot-and-mouth disaster of 2001. He was treated very respectfully, as an “expert”…It’s sick. Pure propaganda.

There was once a famous Chinese executioner so skilful with his razor-edged sword that crowds would pay to watch him behead criminals.

One day he came to a small provincial town where the authorities had given him a large fee to do away with a notorious killer.

He entered the arena and made several elegant and delicate passes with his weapon.

The condemned man sat gloomily before him, looking unimpressed with all this fuss. ‘Just get on with it!’ he growled.

The executioner bowed politely, smiled and said softly: ‘Kindly nod, please.’ The murderer did so and his head, already parted from his body by a stroke of incredible swiftness, tumbled from his shoulders.

I think we in this country are like that condemned man. A terrible thing has been done to us but we have not yet realised it.” [Peter Hitchens, in the Mail on Sunday].

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-8901637/PETER-HITCHENS-dictators-taken-didnt-notice.html?ito=native_share_article-masthead

In a lecture of astonishing power and force last week, the former Supreme Court judge, Lord Sumption, revealed in sad detail what has happened to our country in the name of Covid.

I have placed a copy of it and a recording on the Peter Hitchens blog and I strongly advise you to read and watch it.

It says that Parliament has been elbowed aside by Ministers who rule by decree.

Now, Jonathan Sumption is not just a brilliant lawyer. He is also a distinguished historian.

Last year he gave the BBC’s Reith Lectures, and they were the best for many years. If he has any politics I have no idea what they are, but he uses language with immense care.

If he says this ‘has been the most significant interference with personal freedom in the history of our country. We have never sought to do such a thing before, even in wartime and even when faced with health crises far more serious than this one’, then you may be sure that this is so.

When he says ‘Ministers are accountable to no one, except once in five years at General Elections’, you may be sure that this is true. This a complete breach with centuries of law and tradition, and who can say where it might end?

When he points out that laws, backed by tyrannical, ruinous fines, are now made at televised press conferences and enforced by bluff by police forces operating far beyond their authority, then it is happening.

He accuses the Government of showing ‘a cavalier disregard for the limits of their legal powers’. This, he says, is how freedom dies.

And behind it lies an astonishing, previously unnoticed seizure of economic power, which has made the entire Covid panic possible.

I cannot say where or how this will end. It is my own growing belief that Johnson and Hancock do not understand what they are doing.” [Peter Hitchens, in The Mail on Sunday].

Peter Hitchens does not specifically implicate Common Purpose [motto: Leading Beyond Authority]. Those termites must eventually be dealt with.

Also, just because part-Jew public entertainer Johnson and Indian “clever boy” Sunak do not understand what is happening, it does not mean that others, pulling the strings, do not understand…

The oddest thing about the Panicdemic is that nobody would know it existed if the Government and its mouthpiece the BBC did not constantly seek to terrify us into a state of servile fear.”

Very true.

If you read Hitchens’ article extracted above, do not fail to notice that the Mail refuses to allow readers’ comments. Obviously afraid that “Coudenhove-Kalergi”, “The Great Reset”, “NWO/ZOG” etc will be mentioned.

I do not say that a “Second Wave” is faked, not faked, or even exists. I have no idea from my own knowledge. I (just like Boris-idiot, cokehead drunk Gove, Rishi Sunak and little Matt Hancock) am not a scientist and know of it only what I have read or been told.

From where did this “Second Wave” arise? Not China. “The virus” is in abeyance there. If it exists at all, it has come from the British population that has been “locked down” for half a year. Or has the “new” wave been released deliberately? We do not know.

The tweet below by “@TimWardCam” shows how many people have no self-awareness…

The smug certainty and judgmental little-mindedness oozes out of the tweet. Remain, climate change zealot, etc etc. No doubt believes that “gas chambers” existed. He lives in Cambridge. Oh, and he’s LibDem. He ticks all the boxes…

That is more or less my view. To me, “Tommy Robinson”, pro-Israel etc, is “controlled opposition”, just like Breitbart, Katie Hopkins, UKIP, Brexit Party etc, Prison Planet Watson, all the “alt-Right” wastes of space. However, what happened today was a manifestation of the toytown police state that is slowly becoming a real police state.

Police cite Coronavirus restrictions“… Well, there we are. There it is. People who said, 7 months ago, that the “virus” “rules” would be misused for political purposes have been proven completely right…

The tweet below made me laugh:

For a second, I thought that that tweet was genuine and that the tweeter had confused Stanley Baxter with Stanley Baker, but my second thought and present thought is that the tweet is just a joke.

Blasts from the past

I happened to see the Twitter account of airhead ex-Labour MP and (incredibly) minister, Caroline Flint. “Shallow” would be too kind a judgment. That led me to the tweets of another Blairite “Labour” ex-MP, Gloria del Piero. She managed to fall below even the Caroline Flint standard. Incredible. Both “Labour Friends of Israel” members.

Flint was also a noted expenses cheat and freeloader. She made millions out of being an MP for 22 years, not least by having the taxpayers buy her a second home (a flat in Victoria, Central London) via the MP expenses system. She also “employed” (also via expenses) her own husband, and claimed for anything and everything.

Corbyn was not the one who —mainly— destroyed Labour, but harpies of the above sort (Jacqui Smith, expenses fraudster, was another).

Actually, I had forgotten that the above two even existed. Happy days.

World Mental Health Day

Today is, apparently, World Mental Health Day, in honour of which I am reposting a blog article I wrote 15 months ago: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/07/18/theyre-coming-to-take-me-away-ha-ha/

Ha ha!

Good to see. The Zionist-Jew lobby has been making contrived and mendacious complaints for years. I myself have been conspired against in that way: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/; https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/

In a sense, it is incredible how a people as traditionally (though maybe not so much now) educated and intelligent as the Scots can take petty dictator Sturgeon and her unpleasant little SNP pack seriously. I suppose that the blame lies with the (other, older) System parties: “Labour”, “Conservative”, “Liberal Democrat” (all very much misnamed).

The Labour Party lost all credibility in Scotland, finally grinding to a halt under System drone, Jewish lobby mouthpiece (and now Tony Blair-salaried “gopher”), Jim Murphy, a man who spent 13 years as a university student without even getting a degree! Not forgetting Kezia Dugdale, another “never had a job” drone, idiot (and now newspaper-scribbling lesbian).

The Conservative Party is making minor inroads in Scotland by default, i.e. because they are neither Labour nor SNP (nor LibDem), but I cannot see that getting far, bearing in mind the Boris-idiot government in London and the upcoming economic tsunami triggered by government policy around “the virus”, as well as by badly-mishandled Brexit.

The SNP is only “faux”-nationalist, tolerant of mass immigration (perhaps because Scotland has as yet not been affected as much by it as has been England) and very much in the pocket of the Jewish lobby. Indeed, what sort of “Independence” would it be, if Scotland were still in the EU, NATO, and under the international conspiracy-consensus (NWO, ZOG, Bilderberg etc)?

Still, if Scotland wants “Independence”, let it go its own way, by all means. The rest of Britain can then turn to real social-nationalism.

Here is my own assessment, from last year, of Mike Stuchbery: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/10/23/a-few-words-about-mike-stuchbery/. He keeps tweeting that he has been “libelled” by me and various others (including some Danes, apparently), and that he is “keeping track of all the libel“. He often tweets about how anyone exposing him better get good lawyers and/or that he will “clean out” anyone who tweets or writes about him.

Well, here is a piece of totally free legal advice from an ex-barrister: Stuchbery now has exactly 16 days in which he might start legal proceedings against me in libel in relation to my blog post about him. I am not quaking…

I wish the venture well, though I myself am more of a coffee-drinker (my favourites, now rarely enjoyed, being Turkish/Arab coffee, or a real Viennese “Melange“: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_coffee; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiener_Melange.

I hope that that tweeter, “@DrChrisParry”, knows more about defence than he seems to know about UK strategy more generally. His view seems to be that the UK having a couple of aircraft carriers will push the UK to the top of the tree in terms of world power. Well, the U.S. Navy has 11 aircraft carriers; China has 2 (building another at present, with 6 planned in all); Russia has 2, with 2 more in the pipeline; Italy has 2; France has 1; and so on.

The tweeter noted seems to think that spending money in vast quantities on an aircraft carrier or two will arrest the relative decline of Britain, which has been a fact since 1918 and especially since 1945. This is hardly worth arguing… As for “resisting the power of totalitarian regimes“, the only power constantly intimidating Britain and its corrupt politicians is the USA, our supposed ally… and American military-destructive power dwarfs that of the UK.

Ah, I see that tweeter “@DrChrisParry” does indeed know about defence, at least in its tactical aspects, he having been an admiral and a commander of ships in actual warfare: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Parry_(Royal_Navy_officer). Sadly, it remains true that, just as the environment cannot be left to farmers (because of both self-interest and blinkered viewpoints), defence strategy cannot be left to the generals and admirals, however distinguished.

Oh, the sheer pleasure of being able to slowly advance in that vehicle, watching the horror slowly dawn on the bitch’s face as she realises that she is going down. Would she try to run or jump away in the last split-second, or would she just utter a last scream as the “tank” rolls over her?

That driver is very patient.

Stanley Johnson. Part-Jew, part-Turk, but “sanctified” as a True Blue Brit and “gentleman” by reason of having attended Sherborne School and Oxford…

Blood is destiny. Look at Stanley Johnson’s offspring: Boris-idiot, public entertainer, scribbler of rubbish, and poseur, presently doing a tragi-comic reprise (in miniature) of Winston Churchill; Jo Johnson, politician and former newspaper scribbler specializing in finance; Rachel Johnson, scribbler, editor and TV talking head; Leo Johnson, who is described by Wikipedia as “entrepreneur and film-maker“. Need one say (((more)))?

Tomorrow is often unexpected

I happened to see this:

When I visited the DDR (East Germany) briefly in 1988, the impression I received was that it was more like a stage set of a state than a real one, but I had no idea that, as little as a year or so later, that state would not exist.

Who knows, really, how long any state, even one as longlasting as the UK, will last?

Why did the DDR collapse? Why did the Soviet Union collapse? Many causes, but overall because they decayed internally. That was the number one cause.

Now look at the UK. It may continue for decades, or even centuries. More likely, it will pass into history within a few years from today.

Peter Hitchens still (perhaps) thinks that the UK as a “nation” (no, it is not really a nation any more) exists and that its old and now ramshackle institutions (courts, judges, Parliament, “free” Press, BBC) still have value. “Where are they?“, asks Hitchens, despairingly. They are now but “whited sepulchres”, almost-ruins.

Stay angry, yet patient“? In Zulu, it was more “stay cool but open fire“.

Once again, a nice, well-behaved, civilized English person who thinks that we need “debate”. I think that we need something quite different (though true facts are always useful).

The “Conservative” Party does hate most of its voters. Look at the Parliamentary Party, the Cabinet, the [person posing as] Prime Minister! What do we see? Jews, Mischlingen, wealthy Indians, token blacks and half-castes like Cleverly. As for the white English and Welsh “Conservative” MPs, most are either greedy speculators like Jacob Rees-Mogg, idiot backwoodsmen in it for the pay and expenses (like Peter Bone), or lobby fodder —and (((lobby))) fodder— without an original thought in all their heads combined.

A few final thoughts for today

Trump: whatever one’s general view of him, he has proven his point. He is 74, overweight, has a poor diet (we are told), has contracted “the virus”, yet has spent only a few days in hospital (and mainly out of his doctors’ caution). His wife, also infected, has just been resting at home.

Conclusion: this is not the plague, most people are not even aware that they have “the virus”; few die from it (in relation to those infected or the population as a whole).

The UK “panicdemic”: the government is simply afraid to tell people “we got it wrong; this is nowhere as bad as we have been saying for 6 months“.

UK finances: now it is becoming clear that either there will be even more public spending cuts, reducing the UK to the backward status of a third-rate power (complete with “diverse” population), or there will have to be steep tax rises for the majority of the population.

A kind of semi-dictatorship, hard to define but somewhere between an oligarchy and what someone wittily termed a “wallygarchy”, is being put into place, not overnight but in Lilliputian steps; many small binding ties. The unnecessary fear the “government of clowns” has injected into the population makes that process much easier…but destroys almost everything else.

Diary Blog, 30 August 2020, including thoughts about the next great socio-political shift in the world

My blog

Took a look at the statistics for 2020. So far, tens of thousands of hits from nearly 10,000 individuals. With four full months to go until the end of the year, the number of hits already exceeds the figure for 2019 by about 7%, but the best aspect is that the number of individuals has jumped by 25%. It will be interesting to see the final figures for this year.

The number of “likes” from other WordPress users is also up, but few are ever given (on anyone’s blog) anyway. I had to laugh at the number (as of today) though: 88! True… Is it synchronicity?

Most readers of blogs do not belong to the platform, whether WordPress or other, so the number of “likes” means little. Most blogs get only a few in any given month. Likewise with comments. WordPress blogs are not like social media accounts such as Twitter.

Why does one bother? It is a way of influencing society, even if in a very small way; on the other hand, “one human soul is a big audience“, which I always think was said either by St. Thomas Aquinas or St. Dominic, or maybe even St. Augustine of Hippo, but in fact I have never been able to find the citation.

Who knows who might read my blog and be influenced by it? The next young Alexander? Perhaps a young reader who, after I leave this Earth in my present incarnation, will create the new civilization which I myself, at least so far, have been unable to bring to life and power.

A few “thoughts out of season”

I am 64 years of age in a few days’ time, though I do not —usually!— feel it. Two years until I am 66, in 2022. 2022 can be expressed as a 6 (2+0+2+2), and (by one system of numerology) the number of my name (Ian Robert Millard) is 666, though I should add that I am scarcely a —let alone the—“Beast”!

Like “the stars in their courses“, I “fight on the side of the just” (an ancient Chinese saying).

2022 is the next world-historic year. The last, 33 years before 2022, was 1989, the key year in the collapse of socialism across the world. Socialism did not collapse in one year alone, of course. It had been slowly dying for decades, indeed since the previous year in that 33-year cycle, meaning 1956 (also the year of my own birth).

When I say “socialism” here, I refer to all post-1945 varieties, from the kind of social democratic idea seen in postwar UK, Sweden, New Zealand etc through to the extreme versions seen in the Soviet Union, China, Albania etc. True, China still has and is ruled by the Communist Party, but that party rules over a society completely capitalist. Yes, there are a few unimportant remnants of ruined socialism here and there: Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela (which only became notionally socialist in the 1990s, though there were socialistic elements in Venezuelan society in the 1950s and 1960s). The point is that these countries are exceptions, and poverty-stricken exceptions. The mainstream of the world has moved on from old-style socialism.

After 1989, the Soviet Union ceased to exist as a socialist state, though the Soviet Union continued in name until 1991.

In China, the transition that started in the 1980s intensified, becoming “a new brand of thinking combining socialist ideology with free enterprise, dubbed “socialism with Chinese characteristics” [Wikipedia].

After 1989 and the —superficially— unsuccessful Tiananmen Square protest, “socialism” became a figleaf covering only, just like “aristocracy” has been for a long time in UK society. Deng Xiaoping had said that no-one cared what colour was a cat, so long as it catches mice. That was why socialism had to be superseded, because as an economic model it “does not work”.

Socialism does not work well in the economic sense, but finance-capitalism does not work well socially. Hence the —as yet largely not understood— need for the Threefold Social Order: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_threefolding.

In the UK, the social democratic idea was fully espoused after the Second World War, certainly from 1956, by all three “main parties” (the two real main parties —Conservative and Labour— and the joke Liberal Party). That consensus (“democratic socialist” Labour, in existence in essence since the late 19thC, and “One Nation” Conservatism, also deriving originally from the late 19thC and Disraeli) broke down in the 1980s.

In the 1990s, the “Conservatives” travelled to a more finance-capitalist, anti-Welfare State position. “Labour” dropped “Clause 4” (which notionally committed the party to widespread nationalization —socialization— of the economy). Within a few years, after 1997, Labour had become completely “cosmopolitan finance-capitalist” under Tony Blair and the Jew Mandelson, who declared that he was “intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich“.

While the Jew Mandelson held secret meetings with Rothschilds and “Russian” Jew oligarchs in Corfu villas and elsewhere, Attlee and Bevan rotated in their graves, and the remaining “socialist” element in Labour seethed, led by the dissident MP, Jeremy Corbyn.

Despite much talk, the “socialist” Labour element under Corbyn and, before that, Ed Miliband, was unable to struggle successfully against the Zeitgeist. The General Elections of 2015, 2017 and 2019 proved that old-style socialism is dead. That despite public disquiet at the weakening and partial dismantling of the “Welfare State”, mainly under the Conservative Party governments since 2010.

In fact, that weakening of the UK “Welfare State”, though intensified after 2010, had started long before, and was in evidence during the Blair-Brown years 1997-2010. For example, the disgraceful ATOS organization was given its first contracts not by the Conservative Party governments (2010, 2015, 2017 and 2019), but by the Labour governments of Tony Blair and Gordon Brown (1997, 2001, 2005, 2007): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atos#Atos_Healthcare.

People in the UK tend to think that policy is made by individual governments, when in fact there has always been a “deep state” element underneath, carried on in secret, or in semi-secrecy. The influence of, inter alia, freemasonry, Common Purpose, the Jew-Zionist element, the Bilderberg element etc are all part of that. Look at Welfare State policy since, say, 1997. There have been differences between and within parties, but the main themes continued beneath the surface chatter.

As we move to the next significant year, 2022, we see that neither old-style socialism/social democracy nor finance-capitalism satisfies the needs of the people. A new movement is required, both in the sense of a “party” or political organization, and in the sense of a movement in and of society.”

For the welfare of the people is the highest law” [Cicero].

Time moves on

I found this graphic from 2018, not seen for quite a while. It was produced by the Jew-Zionist (and misnamed) “Hope Not Hate” crowd. It shows those who met (in my case, once, at a clifftop cafe, because someone thought reliable had asked me) a young Swede whose real name is said to be Patrik Hermansson, and who posed in 2017 as a Swedish student called Erik Hellberg. Personally, I think that “The Rat” suits him better, but that’s just me…

Image

It will be noted that I was placed, as if a denizen of a contemporary “Inferno“, in the circle of the “holocaust” “deniers” [bottom right of the graphic].

I tend to be rather anti-social both in the ordinary meaning and politically. I do not mix much, in fact scarcely at all. For all that, I can see that political life has moved on in the intervening <2 years.

Some people have become more prominent (Alison Chabloz for one), others have retreated from the limelight: Jez Turner, Stead Steadman, Colin Robertson (“Millennial Woes”) etc. The London Forum is inactive. The “alt-Right” in the USA (as far as I can tell —I do not keep up with all that in detail) has developed a sharper edge, it seems.

The graphic does not of course purport to be a comprehensive map of the “nationalist” side of UK/US politics. As for the work of “The Rat”, he was wasting his time. His paymasters at “Hope Not Hate” eventually produced a film, but it sank like a stone. I think (not sure) that it did get a screening on Channel 4 or Channel 5 around midnight one evening, and the same in Belgium and Sweden. I myself cannot recall seeing it.

The most interesting aspect of that graphic is what is not there: “lone wolves” in the UK and elsewhere, German rural-sanctuary nationalists and national socialists, those setting up a mini-ethnostate in the Pacific North West of the USA etc.

Police state Germany

In Merkel’s police state, hundreds if not thousands have been arrested in the past 24 hours. Also, people have tried to storm the Bundestag: https://www.euronews.com/2020/08/29/thousands-of-anti-corona-protesters-flood-berlin; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-53959552

In fact, the behaviour of the pseudo-socialists and “antifa” idiots really highlights the sheer bankruptcy of their socio-political position or stance. They beg to be masked, muzzled, controlled, restricted by the State. They have nothing at all to offer in terms of policy or a way forward for society.

You see the same phenomena in the UK, the “anti-racist” and “antifa” types whose life revolves around trolling people on Twitter, saying negative things about those they deem “fascist” or “neo-Nazi” etc. They know nothing, have no real ideology, and put forward no programme of their own. Politically irrelevant.

…and look [below] at these idiots, sitting talking while wearing facemask muzzles! Complete idiots. This really is a ******* farce, but most people are too polite or too compliant or too brainwashed to say anything!

Dido Harding

Listened to BBC Radio 4 Profile about Dido Harding: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dido_Harding. Sounds like she is the sort of person who gets into highly paid positions (eg at Talk Talk, where she was paid millions for failure) because of whom she knows rather than what she knows (or does). A modified and female example of the Peter Principle [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_principle], except that she has been appointed to her present position having serially failed in others. Pathetic country, pathetic government.

The fat man in his muzzle is [update: tweet gone] typical of the aggressive and/or mentally-disturbed facemask zealots who have been emboldened by the ludicrous fake “law” being misused by Boris-idiot, little Matt Hancock, Cressida Dick etc.

Below, “antifa” gassed! I’m lovin’ it (even though I think that Trump is completely unfit for public office)!

Hitchens is right as far as he goes, but fails, once again, to point out that Boris-idiot’s most significant characteristics come not from his few years at Eton (or Oxford) but from the fact that he is part-Jew, part-Turk/Levantine, born in New York City, brought up as child in Washington DC, New York and in Brussels. He is at least half-foreign, in short. Of course “Boris” is not really English in attitude, because he is not really English!

Most NHS doctors are saying nothing because, quite simply, just as Aneurin Bevan said that he had overcome the opposition of the BMA and doctors to the establishment of the NHS by “stuffing their mouths with gold” (relatively high salaries and the chance to do private work on the side etc), Boris-idiot and little Matt Hancock have stuffed the mouth of today’s NHS doctors with more gold, via immediate 4.5% pay rises for less work done…

Hitchens may or may not be aware of it, but Americans have always treated their prisoners, especially political prisoners and/or prisoners of war, very badly. Those suspected of being involved in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln were kept muzzled and with hoods over their heads for months in some cases.

“Eat out to help out”

Indian “clever boy”, Rishi Sunak, who was briefly touted as a future UK Prime Minister when he started throwing money around to ameliorate the effects of his own government’s policies, established the “eat out to help out” programme. 50% off, up to £10 a head, I believe. Well, I just heard anecdotal evidence:

A lady I know went to a seaside cafe/restaurant one morning recently. Her purchase was modest, a single cup of coffee. When she went to pay (£2.20), she was told that she only had to pay £1.10 because of that scheme. A woman also waiting to pay then chimed in to the effect that her family now dined out three times a week because it made eating out almost as cheap as eating in.

Well, that lady whose family use restaurants three times a week and get a discount for it may enjoy the scheme, but the whole thing is being paid for by the public as a whole; by the poor too, who may not pay much in income tax but who certainly pay VAT and, if employed, National Insurance.

Why should the people as a whole pay to subsidize the cafe visits and restaurant excursions of the rich, the affluent and the comfortably-off? Like so many government policies now, there is just no logic and no justice behind it.

A very striking piece of architecture, quite exciting, and I do not hate it as much as tweeter “Western Traditionalist”, but I hear what he (or she) says. It is a symptom of cultural decadence, for sure.

As for the “architecture” below, that really is just disgusting, and should be demolished or destroyed.

Presumably a representation of some organ of the human body (?), or maybe some sea-creature, plonked down in the midst of what seems to be a town in Southern Germany:

Belarus

Looks as though, as in Ukraine, Georgia and elsewhere in the former Soviet Union in the fairly recent past, things are now hotting up in Belarus. Existing discontents are probably being used by the New World Order [NWO] conspiracy to bring Belarus (former Belorussia) into the NWO/NATO matrix.

Below, a “protester” runs down members of a riot squad (probably Belarus KGB-Alpha, a kind of spetsnaz unit) and drives away.

Whether you call the driver’s action “protesting”, “criminal” or “terrorism”, I should not like to be in his shoes. As the Cheka [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheka] said in the Russian Civil War, “the legs of the traitor are not as long as the arms of the Cheka”…

Belarus is effectively a dictatorship, but one which has some positive aspects.

Talking about the Slavonic world, I happened to see the film report below:

The village is in the western part of the Urals region. As for the lady herself, her name suggests a Tatar origin.

The project has an online presence:

https://cocco-bello.com/

http://www.socialenterprisebsr.net/2018/03/coccobello-honey-from-russian-village/

https://atlasofthefuture.org/project/coccobello/

The village had, formerly, nothing but the tarmac road laid down in Soviet times; otherwise, nothing, not a school, shop, or even a well.

The presenter describes the place as a “village”, but in England we would call it a “hamlet”. I think that the distinction is that a “hamlet” is very small and/or has no church. The Russian language before the revolution had the same distinction: a “derevnye” [деревня] was a village (with church), whereas a “selo” [село] was a hamlet or tiny village usually without a church.

In Soviet times, with most local churches destroyed, left to become ruined, or used as barns etc, places were often designated simply as “settlements”. A “settlement” was (or is) a “poselenye” [поселение]. Another word found is “gorodok” [городок] though that really means “small town”, a town being a “gorod”, which can be anything from a place with maybe 1,000 inhabitants to somewhere as big as Moscow, with millions.

It does show the importance of the individual in human and social life: one person can make a huge difference, the crucial difference.

Migrant-invaders

As far as I know, I was the first person to use the term “migrant-invaders”. That was when I had a Twitter account (from 2010, effectively from 2011; the Jews had me expelled in 2018).

This morning, I was listening to a few minutes of the now-almost-irrelevant BBC Radio 4 Today Programme; pathetically-poor Liz Truss was being grilled by Nick Robinson about the hundreds of invaders now crossing the Channel daily. It seems that at least a handful (about 20) Conservative Party MPs have signed a letter quite correctly describing the migrants as “migrant-invaders“, and —needless to say— Today presenter Robinson took umbrage at the phrasing. Idiotic Truss would not endorse the language her colleagues have used.

Still, interesting. Who knows, maybe my blog is more influential than I myself sometimes imagine…

More from Minsk

Looks as though there is a head of steam building up behind the protests:

The Northern Urals region

Saw the video below, made by the same American as the video posted above in this blog post. The real Russian people, some of them, are among the best people you will find anywhere in the world.

Beautiful countryside, but a land ravaged by Sovietism, particularly the terrible Collectivization of the 1928-40 period [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collectivization_in_the_Soviet_Union].

Telling to see the magnificent 19thC main building in one semi-desolate place. Sovietism and in particular the Collectivization of agriculture ruined so much in Russia, though as always one could point to some positive aspects, and in particular, electrification as well as, in some cases, road construction and (sometimes, near towns and cities) piped water. As Lenin said, “Socialism means Soviet power plus the electrification of the whole country.

Now, population decline is ubiquitous in rural Russia, with villages and small towns left full of the elderly, the poor, drunks and those generally unable to migrate to larger places.

Rural and other collectives of social nationalists in various countries

People who have long read my blog will be aware that I support the migration of (UK) social nationalists to certain parts of the country, in order to concentrate forces. Ah. Mentally-violent “antifa” cheerleader, grifter and self-described “historian”/”journalist”, Mike Stuchbery, now claims to “speak for most Britons“! He is an Australian now living in Stuttgart, someone who only lived in the UK for a few years.

Stuchbery, like so many self-described “Left” individuals, pro-EU partisans and multikulti enthusiasts, is also aggressively (from a distance) pro-facemasks or muzzles. It’s a pathology…

Here he is again:

As always, Stuchbery is pro-violence, so long as he himself is not involved except as rear-echelon instigator.

Here’s another ignoramus, Paul Bernal, who is (incredibly) a lecturer in law, and who thinks that “free speech” is still free speech even when you get imprisoned (as under “holocaust” “denial” laws in France, Germany, Austria) or shot (as in Stalin’s Russia etc) for saying something unapproved. Here, in the tweet below, he calls the migration-invasion across the Channel a “story”. No…actually, it is an invasion. 50,000-100,000 a year; and that is only the number coming across in small boats. Others come hidden in yachts, fishing boats, car boots, trucks etc. Then there is “legally-permitted” immigration, which is about 99x the number coming across in rubber boats; and what about the number popping out of immigrant mothers resident in the UK? Pop! Pop! Pop!

Here is Owen Jones, too. A full house of idiots today!

Jones is partly-right: the state of the country is the fault of those exploiting the British people, not (mainly) the migrant-invaders. However, we the British people do not want them here anyway!

He’s right. Twitter is a waste of time, though useful for me in terms of posting the opinions of others as illustrative, for my blog.

Very true. A Waitrose employee told me recently that their store management received an email from Waitrose HQ demanding that all staff wear facemasks or muzzles. Free country? Hardy ha ha!

Look at this now [below]!

Anyone who thinks that this is anything other than a giant international conspiracy must be rather naive, almost panglossian. Don’t forget that most of these “democratic” Western “national leaders” know each other rather well. Many studied together, went to Bilderberg [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilderberg_meeting] together etc…For example, Jacinda Ardern worked for the Labour Party in London! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacinda_Ardern#Early_life_and_education

Lockdown/shutdown of the UK

The article below, written in April by Peter Hitchens, is well worth reading: https://www.firstthings.com/web-exclusives/2020/04/we-love-big-brother

Disturbing footage has emerged showing a woman being choked by a male police officer during a violent arrest in Melbourne after she was caught not wearing a face mask.” [Daily Mail]

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8613253/Cop-CHOKES-woman-refused-wear-face-mask-arrest-streets-Melbourne.html#v-9210073029720032584

The woman can be heard repeatedly screaming 'He's choking me' throughout the clip

In Melbourne, the very place where that nasty little bastard Stuchbery originated! Is it something in the water?

Will there now be demonstrations, marches, even riots in Australia, USA, UK, New Zealand? No, of course not! She’s white and probably has no serious criminal record…#WhiteLivesMatter…

Yes. As I have blogged recently several times (echoed by Peter Hitchens and others), what is really crazy is that the sort of people who used to be rebellious, who prioritized “rights” and “civil liberties” and “freedoms” in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s (I mean those who think of themselves as “Left”, [“libertarian” or other] “socialists”, even “anarchists”) are now those who are begging, literally in some cases, to have stricter control by the State, stricter rules, harsher penalties for going out or not wearing a mask or muzzle. That mentally-disordered “antifa” nut, Stuchbery, is far from being the only one.

Look at Twitter. Virtually all those who identify, on or in the Twitter echo-chamber, as “anti-racist”, “FBPE”, “Remain”, “socialist”, pro-EU etc, the pro-Jewish lobby mob too, are fanatical in their support for facemask-wearing, “lockdown” and anything else that restricts the British people during the overblown Coronavirus “crisis”.

As for Australia, what has happened to them? I myself was there for 3 years as a child (in Sydney) and attended school there: Middle Harbour PS and North Sydney Boys’ High. 1967-69. The police were never even seen where I lived (admittedly a fairly affluent area, Mosman and Cremorne); I never noticed any police even at busy places where I might swim, such as Manly Beach and Balmoral Beach (the latter the nearest to my home), or even much in the city centre (they call that the “CBD” now).

Of course, Australia is now “diverse”: it has imported millions of non-Europeans since the 1970s, and its population is about double the 12 million who lived in Australia when I was at school there…

Will Rory Stewart MP Be Prime Minister?

TELEMMGLPICT000002455935_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqF9BD_fYQB0teZOF4IslN2VR8Iw88tYcABPr4uB-KLnc

[above, Rory Stewart, many years ago in Afghanistan, consciously reprising Lawrence of Arabia; he was sometimes called both “Florence of Arabia” (in Iraq) and “Florence of Belgravia” (because of his well-connected and wealthy background)]

Introduction

My attention was caught by the BBC Politics tweet below.

Rory Stewart MP [Con, Penrith and Borders], who until yesterday was Minister of State for Prisons, a political dead-end, now can be said, appropriately enough, to have jumped free with one bound, and is now Secretary of State for International Development, a position again not quite in the front rank but a Cabinet post all the same. From his new elevation, Stewart has wasted no time in declaring his candidature for Conservative Party leadership.

I have been interested in Stewart and his political career for several years. I was puzzled as to why someone who appeared to have so many advantages (wealth, family influence, expensive education, pre-political career moves, a degree of public prominence etc) seemed to have run into the sand as an MP. However, it may be that he was playing a long game which will yet bring him to the highest office.

I do blog about MPs individually, but mostly those I term “deadhead MPs”. Stewart is certainly not one of those. However, his CV is almost too obviously brilliant. He seems to have almost too many talents, qualifications and virtues to be true. I do, perhaps unfairly, harbour a suspicion that the sum of his many parts may not quite add up to the same amount.

Background

According to Wikipedia: “Stewart was born in Hong Kong, the son of the diplomat Brian Stewart and his wife Sally Elizabeth Acland Nugent. His family live in the listed[6] Broich House near Crieff in Perthshire, Scotland. He was brought up in Malaysia and Scotland and was educated at the Dragon School in Oxford and Eton College.[4] During his gap year in 1991, he was commissioned (“short service limited commission”) in the Black Watch for five months as second lieutenant (on probation).[7][8] He then attended Balliol CollegeOxford University, where he read modern history, before switching to philosophy, politics and economics.”

After graduating, Stewart joined the Foreign Office.[11] He served in the British Embassy in Indonesia from 1997 to 1999, working on issues related to East Timor independence, and was appointed at the age of 26 as the British Representative to Montenegro in the wake of the Kosovo campaign.” [Wikipedia]

Stewart is believed to have been, like his father, an officer of the Secret Intelligence Service [SIS], a fact alluded to by David Dimbleby on BBC Question Time. Stewart neither agreed nor demurred. Still, a touch of the James Bonds impresses the common herd, I suppose…

[above, Brian Stewart, the father of Rory Stewart, wearing the badge of a Knight Commander Grand Cross of the Order of St. Michael and St. George, the 4th-highest order of chivalry in the UK (if excluding two now-dormant orders, the Order of St. Patrick and the Order of The Star of India)]

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/11896713/Brian-Stewart-intelligence-officer-obituary.html

After the coalition invasion of Iraq, he became the Coalition Provisional Authority Deputy Governorate Co-Ordinator in Maysan and Deputy Governorate Co-ordinator/Senior Advisor in Dhi Qar in 2003, both of which are provinces in southern Iraq.[9] He was posted initially to the KOSB Battlegroup then to the Light Infantry.[12] His responsibilities included holding elections, resolving tribal disputes, and implementing development projects.[12] He faced growing unrest and an incipient civil war from his base in a Civil-Military Co-operation(CIMIC) compound in Al Amarah, and in May 2004 was in command of his compound in Nasiriyah when it was besieged by Sadrist militia.[9] He was awarded an OBE for his services during this period. While Stewart initially supported the Iraq War, the International Coalition’s inability to achieve a more humane, prosperous state led him in retrospect to believe the invasion had been a mistake.” [Wikipedia]

Full marks for honesty, but not for perspicacity. Let’s look at the above again: Stewart joined the FCO (and/or SIS) in 1995-96 and by 1999, at age 26, he is British Representative in Montenegro, at that time emerging from nearly a decade of ex-Yugoslav conflict.

This is rather remarkable. Why was a 26-y-o appointed to this rather important strategic post? Even more remarkably, perhaps, Stewart was then posted to Iraq in the immediate post-invasion era, and was rather famously deputy-governor of an Iraqi province at the age of 28. As noted above, he even “saw action” to some extent when his compound was besieged by militia fighters.

From 2000 to 2002 he travelled on foot through rural districts of PakistanIranAfghanistanIndia and Nepal, a journey totalling around 6000 miles, during which time he stayed in five hundred different village houses. He had previously walked across West Papua in 1998,[115] and has since made a number of long walks through Cumbria and BritainHe also travelled into Libya a day after the fall of Colonel Gaddafi.” [Wikipedia]

In late 2005, at the request of the Prince of Wales and Hamid Karzai, President of Afghanistan,[15] he established, as Executive Chairman, the Turquoise Mountain Foundation, a human development NGO, in Afghanistan, and relocated to Kabul where he lived for the next three years restoring historic buildings in the old city of Kabul, managing its finances, installing water supply, electricity, and establishing a clinic, a school and an institute for traditional crafts.[4] Stewart was awarded the Royal Scottish Geographical Society‘s Livingstone medal in 2009 “in recognition of his work in Afghanistan and his travel writing, and for his distinguished contribution to geography”.[16] Stewart stepped down as Executive Chairman of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation in May 2010.” [Wikipedia]

By any standards, Stewart’s life up to age 33 at least (he is now 46) was packed with achievements and adventures. Not many UK MPs could lay claim to anything even a tenth as interesting and varied (note my blogs about “deadhead MPs”). Indeed, it seems that, in 2008, a Hollywood studio (Studio Canal/Brad Pitt) actually bought the film rights to do a biopic of Stewart, starring, it was envisaged, Orlando Bloom as Stewart! No film has been made (yet).

This is not the British politics we know! This is somewhere in the realm of John Buchan and Sidney Reilly, a post-imperial Great Game pastiche.

More:

“His first book, The Places in Between, was an account of his 32-day solo walk across Afghanistan in early 2002.[119] It was a New York Times best-seller, with the newspaper also naming it one of its 10 notable books of 2006 and hailing it as a “flat-out masterpiece”.[4] It won the Royal Society of Literature Ondaatje Prize,[120] a Scottish Arts Council prize,[121] the Spirit of Scotland award,[122] and the Premio de Literatura de Viaje Caminos del Cid.[122] It was short-listed for a Scottish Arts Council prize,[123] the Guardian First Book Award[124] and the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize.[124] The book was adapted into a radio play by Benjamin Yeoh and was broadcast in 2007 on BBC Radio 4.[125]

Stewart’s second book, The Prince of the Marshes: and other Occupational Hazards of a Year in Iraq, also published as Occupational Hazards: My Time Governing in Iraq, describes his experiences as a Deputy Governorate Co-ordinator in Iraq.[4] The New York Timescritic William Grimes commented that Stewart “seems to be living one of the more extraordinary lives on record”, but for him the “real value of the new book is Mr. Stewart’s sobering picture of the difficulties involved in creating a coherent Iraqi state based on the rule of law”.[126] Stewart’s books have been translated into multiple languages.

Stewart’s reflections on the circumstances under which outside military and political intervention in countries’ internal affairs may or may not hope to achieve positive results were distilled in a 2011 book, Can Intervention Work?, co-authored with Gerald Knaus and part of the Amnesty International Global Ethics Series. He has also written about theory and practice of travel writings in prefaces to Wilfred Thesiger‘s Arabian Sands,[127] Charles Doughty‘s Arabia Deserta[128] and Robert Byron‘s The Road to Oxiana.[129]

In 2016, he published The Marches, a travelogue about a 1,000-mile walk in the borderlands separating England and Scotland, known as the Scottish Marches, and an extended essay on his Father, Brian Stewart.[130] The Marches was long listed for the Orwell Prize, won the Hunter Davies Lakeland Book of the Year,[131] was a Waterstones Book of the Month,[132] and became a Sunday Times top ten bestseller.” [Wikipedia]

I suppose that many would be well satisfied to have done even one or two or three of the things noted above. Stewart has dozens of accomplishments and successes to his name. A few more are:

  • “His 2008 cover article in Time magazine, where he debated presidential candidates Obama and McCain, arguing against a troop surge in Afghanistan, has been shortlisted for an American Journalism Association Award
  • He is a columnist for the Cumberland and Westmorland Herald, contributing a fortnightly column,[134] and has been a columnist for The New York Times,[135] in addition to a contributor to the New York Review of Books,[136] and the London Review of Books.
  • Stewart has written and presented three critically acclaimed BBC documentaries:
    • The Legacy of Lawrence of Arabia (2010).[138]
    • Afghanistan: The Great Game – A Personal View by Rory Stewart, a documentary in two parts that tells the story of foreign intervention by Britain, Russia and the United States in Afghanistan from the 19th century to the present day, which aired on BBC2 and which won a Scottish BAFTA (2012).[139]
    • Border Country: The Story of Britain’s Lost Middleland, which investigates the rift created by Hadrian’s Wall, and the issues of identity and culture in a region divided by the fabricated border, which was singled out for praise by David Attenborough.”
  • Stewart speaks some French, Persian (Dari), and Indonesian. He has also studied at school, in the Foreign Office, and on his Asian travels, Latin, Greek, Russian, Chinese, Serbo-CroatUrdu, and Nepali languages. He acknowledges that the latter three languages are “very rusty“;
  • He has lectured at Harvard and even advised Hillary Clinton…;
  • He is a karate expert (level unknown) and belongs to the Special Forces Club in London, some of whose members were in WW2 secret work, some were in the military and naval special forces, some ex-intelligence personnel —and there are also some who are rumoured to be just gold-plated fakes and fantasists;
  • His speech about hedgehogs in Parliament in 2015[39] was named by The Times and The Telegraph as the best parliamentary speech of 2015 and described by the Deputy Speaker as “one of the best speeches she had ever heard in Parliament” [Wikipedia]

Stewart is married to an American woman who had previously been married to a fellow NGO worker. One of the children of the Stewarts was delivered by Stewart himself without medical assistance.

Stewart once tweeted to me about something, several years ago, and was very polite, something that I value. I do not attribute that entirely to the influence of the Dragon School or, indeed, Eton. He seems to know how to behave (though not all agree, I have heard).

Thoughts

Stewart’s stellar career stalled after he became an MP in 2010. Having said that, he has chaired Commons committees, been promoted slowly but surely, and Wikipedia notes that he attended the Bilderberg cabal along with George Osborne. Not that being a Bilderberg attendee is a guarantee of lasting political success (cf. Nick Boles MP) but it does indicate that the primary powers behind the Western throne consider that a person is of interest.

This is Rory Stewart’s moment of opportunity. He has seized it. Once Theresa May leaves office, the Conservative Party will elect a new leader. Stewart is the international System candidate nonpareil. I should not be surprised were he to win a first ballot outright, bearing in mind the collection of fools, knaves, deadheads and frauds likely to oppose him in the contest:

  • Penny Mordaunt, best known for diving in a swimsuit (she looked good, so be it…) and for being a reserve naval sub-lieutenant;
  • Michael Gove, pro-Jew, pro-Israel fraud and expenses cheat (I tweeted that once and it was one of 5 tweets that had me disbarred at the instigation of the Jew lobby, so it pleases me to repeat it!);
  • Boris Johnson (aka Boris Idiot), who proved as Foreign Secretary that he cannot hold down high office;
  • Andrea Leadsom, a nonentity;
  • Jeremy Hunt, smarmy clever snake and tipped to take May’s purple;
  • Amber Rudd, yet another dimwit, though she thinks herself terribly clever. Pro-Israel, pro-EU, pro-immigration. Was involved personally with Kwasi Kwarteng, the “African at Eton” (well, one of them), who has now married, or is about to marry, a younger Amber Rudd lookalike. Amber Rudd’s own seat may well be lost next time;
  • Philip Hammond, careful calculating Remainer;
  • Dominic Raab, part-Jew, pro-Brexit, hardfaced and careerist.

There may be others. There would have been Gavin Williamson (who has the self-confidence of the stupid) and Stephen Crabb (sex pest, expenses cheat and so pro-Israel that he could be termed “an agent of influence”) but both of those have ruled themselves out by their egregiously poor behaviour. Deadheads.

It scarcely needs to be said that, as social nationalist and thinker into the future, I am not on the same page as Rory Stewart, so obviously NWO/ZOG in orientation is he, and whose MP voting record etc is far from entirely to my liking. He also wanted the UK to remain in the EU and now seems to want to “leave” but not really leave: Brexit in name only (BRINO). However, there is no doubt that he is the standout candidate now to replace Theresa May, which means that he could be Prime Minister by the Autumn.

Not everyone is taken with Rory Stewart…

Military? Does 5 months as an instant 2nd lieutenant count? Or is that a reference to Stewart’s “secret war” posts?

A few more thoughts, 4 April 2019:

It seems that Stewart favours immigration:

One farmer told Stewart, “All illegal immigrants should be rounded up and on the first ship out.” Some voters might expect their Conservative candidate at least to nod, but Stewart said, “Hmm,” and changed the subject. After leaving that house, he said quietly, “Actually, I’m rather in favor of immigration.” [The New Yorker]

So he favours (mass?) immigration. That would chime with those Bilderberg/Davos linkages. Also, it is all very well for a spoiled son of the “British Establishment” (father was a high-ranking SIS officer; Stewart lives in a country house surrounded by a small estate of a hundred acres or so) and who has always had access to effectively any money or anything he wanted without struggle or effort, to be OK about the mass of British people being replaced by blacks, browns, Chinese etc; and having to live with those basically backward peoples, share limited housing, road/rail space etc. Not to mention the effect on rates of pay, and the huge strain on public services, education, NHS, “welfare” etc.

Stewart is quite consciously remote from the concerns of the British people. He has put in huge effort on his adventures and career, but has never had to. Big difference.

I seriously wonder now, looking at or studying Stewart, whether he is right for the office of Prime Minister. Yes, it is very impressive to have run an Iraqi province (effectively or not, though?…) or part of Kabul (ditto) when only 28 or 30-ish, it is impressive to have walked across Afghanistan etc. It is impressive to have all those literary and other medals. However, how far does that get you in terms of being a British Prime Minister?

As a matter of fact, is it really that impressive to have been deputy governor of an Iraqi province when you were (some say) no bloody good, accomplished almost nothing and got a transfer a few months later to a more congenial post elsewhere in Iraq? I do not know the truth of it all, and I may be unfair or simply mistaken here, but I wonder whether Stewart’s other great accomplishments have a rather thin layer of reality under the surface glitter?

Impressive though those career highlights are, I am unsure as to whether Stewart really does have what it takes to be Prime Minister of this country in 2019 or 2020, as distinguished from being in that high office in a John Buchan political landscape circa 1912, and as a kind of Richard Hannay, a Hannay who is playing the role of an earlier and English/Scottish type of “Jack Ryan”, the American adventurer-patriot who eventually becomes President in the bestselling books of Tom Clancy.

I have spent some time (by my standards anyway) in preparing and writing and rethinking this picture of Rory Stewart. He disturbs me more than he reassures me: he seems rather fixated on himself, his own psychology, his motivations, his own (enormous and not denied by the man himself) ambition.

It worries me that, in the interviews and profiles I have read, Stewart says much about himself, his achievements, his accomplishments (or allows them to be known…), but little about the needs of the world, of Europe, of the European peoples, of the British people. I see little or nothing in terms of policy, or wider ideas, just a self-view that he is the right sort of chap to run the UK. That sounds like a more impressive sort of David Cameron-Levita-Schlumberger to me, and that worries the hell out of me.

It turns out (I have just discovered) that Stewart is a friend of the scribbler and one-time “Conservative” MP, Matthew Parris, known for his rather snooty attitude toward the white English people in the “left-behind” areas such as Clacton-on-Sea (Parris’s newspaper profile of that area all but got him lynched in 2014…): https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/tories-should-turn-their-backs-on-clacton-j0k5h6zld08 ; https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ukip/11082586/The-voters-of-Clacton-dont-deserve-Matthew-Parriss-sneering-contempt.html

Parris is not only remote from the concerns of the British people (though in his case the remoteness comes not from ancestral hauteur but is the self-consciously created la-di-da-ness of the fastidious metropolitan gay), but is also a pro-immigration Remainer who thinks that ruling the UK should be left to people like him and his affluent, cosmopolitan, pro-multikulti friends. Trouble is, it has been, and look at the result! (Parris himself, elected in 1979, was reprimanded by Mrs Thatcher for having replied to a constituent that she should count herself lucky to have a council house, whatever its flaws…), though he stayed on as an MP until 1986.

I started off thinking that Rory Stewart was, judging objectively, far and away the best candidate to replace Theresa May. I still think that he is by far the most accomplished candidate, but I the more I read about him, the more doubts and suspicions I have. I am also disturbed that some of the Jewish lobby on Twitter seem to favour him.

In the end, no System party or candidate has the right to rule the UK. Social nationalism must triumph.

A few recent tweets seen about Rory Stewart

https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/rory-stewart-prisons-crisis-gavin-williamson-justice-inquest-a8900581.html

Oh, dear…(see below): I am thinking now that Stewart is rapidly using up his credit with at least some of the public, though in the end the ones who will vote for a new Conservative Party leader will be, initially, the Con MPs in the Commons, not Joe Public. It may be that Stewart will be seen as the ideal “Stop Boris” candidate, someone to rally to. I do not know what level of MP support he now has. I presume some, or why would he risk being humiliated? On the other hand, he does strike me as a very ambitious gambler and chancer.

The tweeter above is yet another who seems to think that Stewart’s 5 months as a gap-year “officer” on probation is something real, rather than a kind of adventure holiday for the gentry. Unless the tweeter, like others, takes the term SIS “officer” at face value, rather than as a conventional designation (cf. police “officer”, council “officer” etc).

Update, 25 May 2019

Well, here we are after Theresa May’s announcement of departure, and Rory Stewart is on all msm outlets. He has put the knife into Boris-Idiot and may have damaged the latter’s campaign. Opinion on Stewart himself is divided, half seeing his accomplishments and character, half seeing his gaffes. The tweet below is more favourable than not to him

On the other hand, I saw Stewart on TV, saying that “we” must build 2 MILLION (!) houses. My reaction? “Only because the UK has imported millions of unwanted immigrants, who are breeding fast; and Britain CONTINUES to import huge numbers, even in 2019!”

I see no willingness in Bilderberg/Davos Stewart to take on mass immigration. In fact, he seems to support it. The negative effects will scarcely impact him or his family, after all, in his listed Borders country house…

Ah…another tweeter who raises points against Stewart:

Update, 30 May 2019

Rory Stewart smoked opium (once, in Iran)

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/rory-stewart-tory-leadership-hopeful-16224098

and, below, the sort of statement that comes easier to those who have never been poor, hungry, desperate etc…Almost clownish coming from someone who has been an MP and whose votes, with those of other Conservatives and LibDems, enabled the attacks on the unemployed and disabled since 2010…

Stewart seems to be an engaging fellow, at least on the surface, but the more I see of him, and the more that I read about his voting record and views, the less I like him ideologically or politically.

Update, 1 June 2019

Ah, I see that I am not alone in thinking that Stewart’s accomplishments and achievements are perhaps not quite all that they seem on paper:

Though few would speak on the record, there is a broad critique of Stewart that his biography is a little overegged and certainly self-regarding – leading to a nickname, a member of his wider social circle confides, of “Florence of Belgravia”.” [The Guardian]

Though Stewart has claimed to know “what it feels like to be in the army”, for instance, he spent only a gap year stint in the Black Watch and did not see active service. He can often give the impression his role in Iraq was rather more important than the reality, according to someone who witnessed his work there (“He was regarded as a pretty competent mid-ranking Foreign Office official … He wasn’t a nonentity and I think the view in Iraq was that he was conscientious, but he wasn’t Lawrence of Arabia.”).” [The Guardian]

Several well-placed observers of Stewart’s time in Afghanistan point out that his much-discussed Afghan walk, the origin of his reputation as an expert on the region, was a month spent crossing a comparatively safe part of the country (“Other people would call it a walking holiday,” notes one).” [The Guardian]

In general, he has done a lot and it’s all very impressive,” says someone who observed Stewart at close quarters in Kabul. “But it’s not quite as impressive and remarkable as he allows people to think. This is not necessarily all his doing, but the willingness of others to project things on to him … All sorts of journalists wrote up the Turquoise Mountain Foundation [Stewart’s Afghan NGO, which aimed to preserve local crafts] as the most amazing project in Afghanistan, when it was actually a rather low impact thing that affected the lives of a small number of people.” [The Guardian]

…to his credit he does not dissemble when asked directly about his experience (“It was unbelievably brief,” he told the New Yorker of his time in the Black Watch.)” [The New Yorker; The Guardian]. So not even 5 months? Sounds as though it was somewhere between the 5 months previously claimed and, er, what? A week? A month? A few months?

Claims this week to have “negotiated in Iraq, negotiated in Afghanistan” provoked “snorts of derision”, the former Afghanistan correspondent Jon Boone tweeted. “Who with, the Kabul guild of potters and calligraphers?” [The Guardian]

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/jun/01/opposite-career-politician-rory-stewart-pm-tory-leadership

Maybe Stewart should not have exposed his gilding to the very harsh light of scrutiny.

A few more thoughts

Since I penned the main blog post, much has happened. Stewart has come under more scrutiny, but also has travelled the country (the UK, not Afghanistan) doing Twitter vox pop chats with random passers-by. At least he is not afraid to do that. He is becoming better-known to the public and apparently now has a few Conservative MPs supporting him; but not many. As to the bookmakers, some have him as 66/1 for “next Conservative leader”, though Betfair betting exchange has him at 12/1, which strikes me as more realistic (making that 66/1 a value bet if you can get it)

and… the head of the Jo Cox fake charity is now tweeting in favour of Rory Stewart. Oh dear… https://twitter.com/CAnderson_UK/status/1134854191564894209

Speaking in her personal capacity – and not in her current role as chief executive of the Jo Cox Foundation – Catherine Anderson told The Courier she was drawn to Rory’s internationalism.” [The Courier]

A few more endorsements like that and it’s Goodnight Vienna to Stewart!

Ah…seems that Catherine Anderson is “an aspiring Conservative MP” who used to be “Chief of Staff” and Campaign Manager for (drum roll…) Rory Stewart! In fact she worked for Rory Stewart for nearly 9 years!

Update, 13 June 2019

Well, the first ballot has been held and Rory Stewart is still standing. Just. 4th from bottom. All below him (McVey, Leadsom, Harper) eliminated (though only from the contest, sadly…). So far, only 19 MPs voted for Stewart. His immediate prospects look bleak, inasmuch as Boris-Idiot, someone with no real vision, ability, ideas, ideals, nor even basic decency, is the frontrunner still. Boris has 114 craven MPs backing him, so far.

What does it say about the Conservative Party and, to a lesser extent, the UK (England, mainly) that a blot like Boris Johnson may soon be Prime Minister? I am not talking about his character alone, but also his actual ability to be effective. Still, there it is…

Update, 17 June 2019

Well, as I guessed a couple of days ago, Rory Stewart has gained ground, at least in the betting, though the betting exchanges’ and bookmakers’ odds are often not a reliable guide to political results (see the EU Referendum, the Trump election, the recent Peterborough by-election etc).

Stewart is now at 2nd place in the betting to be next Conservative leader, though only at 16/1. Boris Johnson is favourite at around 1/5 odds-on (Hunt 20/1, Gove 46/1, Raab 85/1, Javid 120/1).

By all accounts, Stewart did well in the TV debate (Johnson the sole absentee, obviously afraid of being exposed as an idiot and incompetent, as well as wanting to seem to  be the “presidential” figure above the fray).

Having said that, Stewart will have to pull off a considerable coup even to be one of the final two, though that now seems a 50-50 possibility.

Update, 19 June 2019

Well, Rory Stewart is out of the race, which means that, until or unless Boris Johnson leaves frontline politics, his career is stalled again. He pledged not to serve in a Johnson Cabinet, and, as I blogged previously, it is doubtful that Johnson will appoint him to anything significant anyway.

That leaves Johnson, Hunt, Gove, Javid.

Looks as though arguably the worst candidate is about to win…

Having said that, Stewart has staked his claim to be taken more seriously somewhere down the line. System politicians, like revolutionary ones, are all seeking to catch the right wave, like surfers.

Update, 20 June 2019

Just saw this tweet, posted 2 days ago. Worth reading; one has to take its veracity on trust, not ever having heard of the tweeter, and the emailer mentioned remaining unnamed.

Update, 4 October 2019

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/live/2019/oct/04/rory-stewart-resigns-from-tories-brexit-article-50-boris-johnson-live-news

So Rory Stewart is standing down as MP for Penrith and Borders at next election. He has also resigned from the Conservative Party. Reasons not given. Maybe, in the end, he just was not hungry enough, which would explain why he did not want further ministerial preferment, or to seek the role of PM, but does not explain why he has also decided not to continue as MP; neither does it explain why he has also resigned from the Conservative Party. Perhaps the situation will be clarified in due course.

Update, 5 October 2017

Ah…mystery solved. Stewart is intending to stand for the post of Mayor of London.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-49931937

He has obviously seen how Boris-Idiot used the position to keep his profile high until he was ready to re-enter the Westminster fray.

The other main candidates are already known: Sadiq Khan, the present Mayor, for Labour, and Shaun Bailey, the West Indian who will be the Conservative candidate. Sadiq Khan has the support of the msm, the Jewish lobby etc, as a Labour mayor who is rather anti-Corbyn. Shaun Bailey may be seen by the blacks as rather an “Uncle Tom”, and there are still questions around missing or misapplied funds of a “social enterprise” he set up in 2006: the monies missing were never accounted for; other monies, amounting to the bulk of spending by the organization, went on “travel and subsistence”, probably for Bailey himself. No criminal charges or civil claims were ever brought, though.

Despite Khan’s poor record as Mayor, he is probably well-placed vis-a-vis Bailey. Now that Rory Stewart has entered the fray, Bailey is holed below the waterline and his candidature will inevitably sink. Whether Rory Stewart can beat Khan and the other candidates (the LibDem being the main also-ran) is an open question.

London is a mainly non-white city now, and an English candidate (well, Anglo-Scottish) like Stewart may find this an uphill slog. On the other hand, Khan is not a popular figure, Stewart is a fresh and now politically non-aligned contender who, however, has high public recognition and profile. I do not think that he can be written off here, and if that is so, his wider ambition, to be Prime Minister, may survive the presently wintry conditions.

Update and addendum, 10 October 2019

Thank to an alert and well-informed blog reader, I can now add a significant addendum to my study of Rory Stewart:

https://www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/beset-rory-stewart-bagel-boris-johnson-london-mayor-jw3-1.489819

https://jewishnews.timesofisrael.com/for-rory-stewart-the-schlep-to-city-hall-begins-with-yiddish-classes/

So it turns out that, notwithstanding the listed country house in the Scottish Borders, notwithstanding the almost caricature “country gentry” persona, Stewart is part-Jew! It now is clear that he is what the Reich called a “Mischling”, in his case one-quarter, his maternal grandfather having been “a Jewish doctor from Wimbledon”, whose own parents were Jews from Romania who arrived in London after having lived in New York City for a while.

Well, now it becomes clearer: the self-publicizing (shades of Boris Johnson…), the liking for “fancy dress”, eg tribal costume and being photographed posing in it (cf. Stewart’s father), the pro-immigration stance, the Davos and Bilderberg linkages.

More than that: Stewart’s wife, Shoshana Stewart, is half-Jewish. In fact, the “half” in question is the maternal half, which means that, according to the way that Jews themselves calculate ancestry, his wife is “Jewish”, simpliciter; that also means that, according to Jewish custom, Stewart’s children are Jewish (though of course we non-Jews decide such designations according to genetic science, meaning that his children are in fact three-eighths Jewish, if my mathematical calculation is right, which often is not the case; anyway, no matter if the right answer is three-eighths or something else, the exact proportion changes nothing). According to the Jewish Chronicle report, above, Stewart and his wife and children celebrate Jewish religious holidays as well as the main Christian ones.

I smelt a rat about Stewart when I saw that the vocal Jew cabal on Twitter all seemed to favour him during the Conservative leadership contest, but it did not occur to me that he himself was part-Jew. I thought that his odd and dark looks came from Western Scottish origins (as they presumably do, in part). I thought that the Jews were supporting Stewart because of his “liberal” Conservatism…

How do these facts, concealed or at least not publicized until now, affect Stewart’s London Mayor election bid? Damaging, I think. While the Jews of North London will probably support him now, the far greater number of Muslims and others who commonly disfavour Jews will probably not vote for him (despite the fact that the present Mayor of London and Labour Party candidate, Sadiq Khan, a Muslim by origin, has been a complete doormat for the Jewish lobby for years).

Update, 27 December 2019

[as of May 2020, original material in this place apparently deleted]

Fair comment, surely, if one looks at Rory Stewart’s voting record as an MP (2010-2019).

Without taking away from his interesting and accomplished background, as detailed in my lengthy blog hereinabove, my feeling at the moment is that Rory Stewart is basically an oleaginous, dissembling, part-Jew shit.

Update, 6 April 2020

Stewart is no longer standing as candidate for Mayor of London:

There must be a reason; I do not know that reason.

So once again Rory Stewart is the nearly man: nearly something important in SIS or FCO, nearly Conservative Party leader, nearly Mayor of London. Sometimes a candidate has to stick in there and await Fate. Had Stewart not huffed off and resigned as MP after losing out to, ultimately, Boris Johnson, his time might have come, after Johnson messes up even more, which is inevitable.

I always recall being in the USA during the 1991 US Presidential Election campaign. At one point, Clinton was placed third of the three major candidates in the opinion polls. A poor third, at that. He stuck it out (admittedly, what else could he do?) and, after Ross Perot dropped out, beat George Bush snr. for the Presidency, being inaugurated in 1992. Years earlier, Clinton, who at 31 had been a very young Governor of Arkansas, was defeated after one 2 year term. Undeterred, he tried next time and was re-elected. A stayer.

I should think that this spells the end of Rory Stewart as a potential political leader. What does it mean for the London race? I have not followed it closely, but it must give the Conservatives a better chance, despite their candidate being a West Indian with a very dodgy background in terms of near-fraud (though he has never been charged with anything).

Sadiq Khan was running at 8/1 on (1/8) with the bookmakers. Rory Stewart was at 11/8. Shaun Bailey, for Conservative Party, at 20/1. Now that Stewart is gone, I imagine that Sadiq Khan will go out to about 1/6, and Shaun Bailey go in to about 10/1 or so. Despite his poor record, Sadiq Khan is unlikely to lose to Shaun Bailey.

Update, 19 October 2020

The London mayoral election has been deferred until 6 May 2021, a decision taken in March 2020. When that deferment was announced, Rory Stewart withdrew his candidature: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_London_mayoral_election#After_postponement_(2020%E2%80%932021).

In a John Buchan story, the Stewart or “Hannay” character would no doubt “retire” from public life only because he would be secretly saving the Empire from imperial Russia, or imperial Germany, or would be thwarting a dastardly plot involving transnational conspirators. In fiction, he would save the Empire, then either be knighted or (and/or) be appointed Chief of the Imperial Secret Service. In real life? I have no idea. Stewart is now, or was until recently, teaching at Yale: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rory_Stewart#Post-political_career
