The funniest thing about the forced “apology” of “Dr” Comrie (the doctorate is an honorary one, awarded a few years ago) is that she excuses herself by citing “shared experience of acute racial trauma and post-traumatic slave syndrome following the murder of George Floyd“.
Ha ha! Slavery in the British Empire ended in 1833, nearly 200 years ago (and the slave trade itself had already been abolished even then, and throughout the Empire, in 1807).
“Dr.” Comrie, of whose existence I was entirely unaware until today, is apparently a quangocrat and/or “social entrepreneur”, who worked for the BBC at one time: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_Comrie.
The “apology”, drafted —I presume— by “Dr” Comrie’s solicitors, is reproduced here below:
There it is. “Dr” Comrie (like those black women Labour MPs who are and/or have been in hot water) thinks that she can cite British or Empire slavery in the 18th century or before, or the death of an American black criminal while resisting arrest in the USA, to excuse her spouting a load of complete garbage, untruthful, stupid, and libellous, on a British radio show.
Incidentally, in case anyone is wondering, while spoken defamation is usually slander (and not libel), it is libel (in the UK) when broadcast on public radio or TV in that manner.
Why do we tolerate these idiots?

Hello Ian: lots of interesting things today! First: Can you explain to me the difference between “slander” and “libel” in British Law? I don’t mean a detailed explanation, of course, but rather which is more serious or worse if there is such a concept.
Another question, suppose I write an article attacking a person (never mind if I am right or wrong) would that be considered libel or slander?
I just read that story of a person been given an ASBO. Can you do something about it if you receive one? Surely you have the right to question or challenge that!

Simply put, both slander and libel are forms of *defamation*. In general, the key difference is that libel is written defamation, while slander is spoken defamation. *In the UK*, though, spoken defamation *which is broadcast on a public TV or radio station* is libel rather than slander, by operation of statute law.
Whether libel or slander is —in any one case— more or less serious, depends on the damage or loss caused by the defamation, rather than whether it was spoken or written. Libel, though, tends to be more serious because it is usually seen by more people than hear a slander. Libel is therefore usually more serious, and that, I suppose, is why English law (and I think Scottish, though I am unsure) treats spoken words on a TV/radio broadcast as if “libel”.
To answer your question, a written article (or letter) would always, if anything defamatory, be libel and not slander.
As to an “ASBO” (I think that the name is now changed), it is appealable, like any other sentence.

“They” certainly talk a good game. Alison Chabloz expressed it satirically in a couple of her songs, the way in which “they” ensure that their children are thoroughly brainwashed into the “holocaust” and “this antisemitic universe” narratives.

A good example of them seeing “anti-semitism” under every rock is going on right now, with Israel bombing Gaza (it happens every time Gaza is being bombarded actually). The Jewish controlled media is anti-semitic apparently, for their coverage of it. What coverage they’re talking about i’m not sure, i’ve barely seen anything in the MSM about it, and anything i have seen has of course been heavily biased in Israel’s favour.

That ancient cuckold, Rupert Murdoch, complained in 2014 that the UK media was not pro-Israel enough (!), despite most of the Press etc being (his words) owned by Jews (he might have added, “and staffed by Jews in key areas”).
As a matter of fact, I think that Murdoch is part-Jew, though when I speculated on that years ago, on Twitter, Andrew Neil (a former Murdoch editor, of course) tweeted to me that Murdoch was of Presbyterian background. Maybe so, but the one does not preclude the other.

Oh yes i personally think it’s a given that Murdoch is a mischling. I’ve joked before that he looks like the long lost brother of the former (((federal reserve))) chair Alan Greenspan.

It has been said that his mother was Jewish, because of her surname (Greene) but that is a very flimsy, if not stupid theory.
1) Her surname (Greene) although much used by the Jews in Anglo-Saxon countries is of Aryan origin:

My belief is that it is not necessary to have a drop of Jewish blood to be a fanatical defender and supporter of the Jews. We have thousands of examples of this kind of sickness. Rupert Murdoch is just one of them.
