Needless to say, taping bits of fruit to walls would not be regarded by anyone sane as “art” even in the context of a kindergarten, but the sheer lunacy of at least part of the arty world is shown by the fact that some grifting pseudo-artist has not only been accepted by some as an “artist” after doing that, but has actually sold several versions of a banana taped to a wall for USD $100,000 apiece.
This is mad, just mad, and makes “artists” such as Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin look half-genuine…
Where are the art-lovers to tear down this sort of fakery and stamp on it?

Indeed, most of those islands and no doubt the overseas British dependent territory of Bermuda as well have rudimentary at best social security systems so if people illegally immigrate to them they know they will be on their own so that will act as disincentive to commit the CRIME of illegal immigration. .
Our social security system should be reserved for British citizens only. Yes, what is called ‘welfare chauvinism’ should be the order of the day.
It is a total disgrace that some British people have been left to rot by the system yet in many cases obviously bogus ‘asylum seekers’ have been put up in hotels etc by this wretchedly anti-British Tory government.
No wonder they keep on invading us on boats in the Channel. France has told us since at least 2002 to reduce the significant pull factors such as benefits etc, no national ID card system that they have that act to entice them to our shores.
We don’t want populist gimmicks designed to win votes! We want sustained and certifiably EFFECTIVE ACTION on this issue at long last.

Yes, we are known throughout the world to be a ‘soft touch’ and the most soft in the head country in Europe hence a discraceful record of 19,000 illegal immigrants arriving by boat up to this month alone and with still a few months to go before this year ends.
Illegal migrants are barely ever deported by the clearly unfit for purpose Home Office headed by someone obviously chosen for her ethnic background to win votes amongst ethnics that will never come in decent numbers to the party that put her there and filled to the brim with globalist liberal civil servants. One of the few things that will deter these boat people and other illegals is SUSTAINED deportations in large numbers and for YEARS on end. Only that will remove the reputation that has been built-up by grotesquely irresponsible Labour and Tory governments over many decades. We need to copy Denmark which has Europe’s toughest immigration laws AND ENFORCES them!
No wonder the libertarian loony, fake, globalist Conservatives are now up to 15 points behind Labour. They fully deserve to be.

It is due to a myriad of reasons ie the present war in Ukraine to take just one example, privatised energy companies deliberately profiting from the situation, the ramp up of energy demand after the shock of a once in a century pandemic hit the world economy.

I predict that if another referendum were held on Brexit in order to rejoin the EU then it would result in a narrow vote to rejoin. From looking at opinion polls on this subject the number of Remainers/Rejoiners is broadly the same, the number of leavers/stay out has decreased a little and the ones who are are tired of the entire subject and are not too fussed about whether we stay out have increased.
What a massive endorsement for this globalist libertarian ‘Conservative’ government to turn what many thought could be a fresh start for this country and then turn those hopes to ash.🙄🙄🙄

Yes, a nation is like a very large extended family so its a form of community that every member should feel a natural affinity with and want to defend.

On a different note, I found out something surprising and not what I would have expected when I was reading the late leftwing Brexit supporter and former RMT union leader Bob Crow’s Wikipedia entry. He supported capital punishment as the correct and morally justified sentence for murderers though with the caveat that as he didn’t trust the criminal justice system enough he couldn’t support it in practice.
You can find support for hanging in the most unlikely of places!😂😂😂😂😂
Bob and his union supported the use of Proportional Representation in general elections so in that sense he was a genuine democrat not like most hard-left union leaders.

Yes, he was hard-left BUT he must have had enough respect for people of vastly different opinions to support Proportional Representation. Globalist open border supporters don’t normally support PR because they rightly suspect their views are not popular when push come to shove hence their steadfast opposition to a form of voting system in which many more votes would help elect MPs.
Under FPTP around 45% of all votes cast AT EVERY general election go into the nearest waste paper bin having had no use in electing ANY candidate.
For wanting to end that continuing scandal and ‘democratic obscenity’ Bob Crow was a democrat and gets approval from me.

Many millions of votes are ‘wasted’ in this way and this is an INHERENT DESIGN FEATURE of the system not an occasional misfiring of it.
To be frank, it is surprising national turnouts are still as high as they are. At the last election it was 67% though that is far short of 1992’s high seventies figure. No general election since that of 1997 has had a plus 70% turnout.
Only people who live in the marginal seats really get to cast an effective vote that could change the outcome of the election yet this country has the sheer nerve and cheek to castigate others for lacking democratic values which are not too brilliant here either.
