Even the name of the lower and far more important house of parliament, the House of Commons, indicates the problems with the British political system and why it fails this country so consistently.
Apart from Canada, no other country calls its lower house the House of Commons. Others call it the House of REPRESENTATIVES as in the USA, the NATIONAL ASSEMBLY ect. The name House of Commons indicates a mindset that we lowly plebs are not really supposed to be involved in governing the country so government is better left to the upper tiers of society/the aristocracy/chaps from public schools like Eton, Harrow, Rugby and Charterhouse.
Britain is a Monarchial state which never fully developed into being a genuine, modern democracy.

Stop denouncing people for wearing face marks! For one thing, you have NO IDEA as to that person’s individual heath condition. They may suffer from breathing difficulties which are not readily observable to a lay person.
At any rate, it is their own personal decision to wear one or not and if wearing one gives them the self-confidence to go out and spend money in the shops that helps to get money circulating in the economy thus helping to keep people in jobs and creating new ones and that helps ALL of us.

I believe I am correct in stating that the libertarian Jewish economist Mrs Thatcher was fond of, Milton Friedman, once said you can have mass immigration or you can have the welfare state.
The Tories AND Labour have chosen mass immigration over the welfare state hence their attacks upon the most vital and sensible element of the post war settlement ie what used to be called ‘social security’.
The NHS has a good and needed basic ethos behind it ie healthcare provided to all at the point of use and regardless of the size of an individual’s bank account.
However, with the increasing expense of modern medical treatment can the NHS model be maintained in its present form?
I think we should take a look at how other countries provide universal healthcare such as Germany or South Korea which supposedly has the world’s second best health system.

I saw a survey recently that suggested than so many people, particularly younger generations, are so disillusioned with our largely fake ‘democracy’ that they wish for a ‘strongman’ figure who wouldn’t have to bother with winning votes in parliament to get decent policies through.
Could a British Putin or someone like Sir Oswald Mosley be on the cards soon if parliament doesn’t cleanse itself of degenerate drug abusers like Michael Gove or fails to reform itself and which accounts, at least in part, for the separatist SNP still being a significant factor in Scottish politics?

The police in this country are dangerously politicised and have been made increasingly so since Thatcher’s time.
No police force in the world can ever hope to deal with criminals effectively if the public are loathe to help them. Societal co-operation with the forces of law and order is not a optional extra they can do without.
Put simply, neither the Tories or Labour can be trusted to not keep on and on politicising the police so radical actions must be undertaken to stop this and put it into reverse.
I suggest we follow the example of post war Japan which had a military dictatorship in the 1930’s which had destroyed the poltical independence of their police. After WW2, the US occupiers resolved to change this situation so they created an independent national policing commission to run police staffed by independent experts in policing.
Something like that will have to happen here.

Well, I have no particular objection to Hackney being twinned with anywhere in Israel because that borough’s Jewish community is mainly composed of Ultra-orthodox Hasidic Jews many of whom are anti-Zionist and therefore disagree with the Zionist entity’s existence and some of these type of Jews reside in the Zionist state.
However, Jews in the other British towns are liable to be pro Zionist ones hence those council areas should boycott the Zionist entity.

To this day, 10,328 Palestinians, a third of them children, have been killed, and I say killed because these bastards, unlike the Russians or Ukrainians, deliberately bomb innocent and defenceless civilians. On the other hand, the number of civilian deaths in Ukraine is 9,806.
If we divide the number of Ukrainian and Russian civilians killed in the 21 months of the war, we will obtain a monthly average of 467 deaths. This means that the Israelis killed 22 times more Palestinians in one month than all the Russian and Ukrainian civilians killed in 21 months of war.
