Polar bear rescue
“This is the heartwarming moment a starving polar bear whose tongue became caught inside a tin can was dramatically rescued.
The female called Monetochka had sought human help after the sharp-edged condensed milk container got wedged to her tongue.
A team of rescuers flew 2,125 miles from Moscow to reach the Arctic port of Dikson, one of the world’s remotest settlements, after the bear seemingly pleaded with residents for help.”

Good to read both in itself and because it shows the side of Russians rarely portrayed in the UK msm for the past several months.

Yes. I am sure that human actions of that sort create impulses that will bear fruit hundreds, thousands of years into the future.

Thank you. Interesting. I know Dartmoor, having lived for several years (many years ago now) in both a major country house and then a farmhouse both between Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor (from the drawing room of the country house, you could see the uplands of both moors).
Had I won the £195M Euromillions jackpot, I could have done a lot for conservation (and more), but the loot has no doubt been won by people who will want only a modest new house, a couple of cars, a holiday somewhere, and who will say that they want to keep their jobs in the local fish and chip shop or B&Q.
