Latest example? Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, we are told, has bought a house in the “upmarket borough of Mayfair in Central London“, according to the Daily Mail (per one Laurence Dollimore). Mayfair is, of course, not a borough; it is merely part of the City of Westminster (which, however, is a London borough).

Yes, Suella Braverman does have a few minor points in her favour and even Kemi Badenoch does. Instead, thick Tory MPs lumbered their party members with the WORST ethnic candidate of the lot who has nothing going for him.
People criticize Conservative Party members for their votes in leadership elections and rightly so many would say but they are at the END of the process and can only choose between TWO final candidates after the MPs have whittled the numbers down.
So, the fault for the Conservative Party choosing bad leaders should not just be directed at the door of the members but their MPs. The MPs SHOULD know better!
Also, you have to take into account that many party members are not really actively involved with the party ie they don’t go to party functions and meet ministers, potential party leaders etc they just pay their annual membership fees etc.

It should be. Britain is the most soft-headed country in Europe and probably in the world when it comes to how we have treated immigrants since the war. We have literally laid out the Red Carpet for them and in many cases prioritised their interests above our own including unfortunate people like the homeless etc yet STILL they moan and whinge, call us wicked ‘racists’ etc.
In contrast, Germany has few ethnic MPs let alone Cabinet Ministers! That country is seemingly decades away from having a Turk in charge of their Interior Ministry (the equivalent of our Home Office) and the police there do still make an attempt at controlling crime and aren’t completely subsumed and emasculated under a tidal wave of PC politician enforced political correctness.

Until that time I did not know that the famous Austrian composer’s father was also called John Strauss (Snr or “der Altere”) and was a successful composer in his day

I think that father and son argued politically, especially in the revolutionary year 1848. Strauss snr. supported the existing order, while his son had some revolutionary sympathies, though he, like Wagner, mellowed later.

I think that I then remembered that I once, c.1978, had met with Oswald Mosley’s assistant or “chief of staff” from the 1950s, and Editor of the newspaper Action, Jeffrey Hamm, who had been a teacher in the Falklands for several years until arrested in 1940 (I think) and interned on a ship in South Africa (he was later allowed to volunteer or was conscripted to fight in the Eighth Army in North Africa; many Mosleyites/BUF men served there during WW2).
