Diary Blog, 2 December 2022, with comments re. the City of Chester by-election result

Morning music

On this day last year

City of Chester by-election

As expected, Labour won the by-election; as I blogged a while ago, the interest lies mainly in the percentages: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2022/11/23/diary-blog-23-november-2022-including-a-brief-overview-of-the-upcoming-city-of-chester-by-election/.

The result: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_Chester_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2020s.

The Labour candidate, a woman who seems to have been a housewife/homemaker previously, as well as (from 2011) a councillor and (from 2015) leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council, scored 61.2%, Labour’s best-ever result in the constituency. The fact that she was brought up in, and has lived in, the area since the age of 4 cannot have hurt her campaign.

Conversely, the Conservative candidate did very badly, scoring 22.4%; the previous worst Con result was in 2001 (33.1%).

The LibDem, on 8.4%, was the only other candidate to retain his deposit. Their best result in a decade, but underwhelming when compared to where the LibDems were prior to the 2010-2015 “Con Coalition”.

Of the others, the only ones worth noting are the Greens (2.8%) and the new Farage vehicle, Reform UK (2.7%). The other four candidates scored 1% or below.

Thoughts? A very good result for Labour, despite it having been in a by-election. Labour’s previous best was 56.8% in 2017, which had been ahead of all other results, even that of 1997.

The voters are getting very tired of the Conservative Party, and even if they may not consider that Labour will do much if at all better on a number of issues, that alone cannot save Sunak and the Con Party.

Not much else to be said, except that Farage is proven once again a busted flush; his Reform UK party is not likely to get anywhere. Britain needs a real social-national party.

Finally, what did strike me was the low turnout— 41.2%, by far the lowest ever, though of course this was only a by-election. The previous-lowest turnout was in the General Election of 2001 (63.8%).

The low turnout might well indicate apathy, or apathy vis a vis the present political and voting system; it may also indicate anger and frustration, and a view that the present system cannot solve Britain’s problems.

Whatever the truth of that, the fact remains that 58.8% of eligible voters did not vote. How many were disaffected former Con voters unwilling to vote Labour or even LibDem? We do not know, but the fact is that 6,335 people voted Con at this by-election, compared with 20,918 in 2019 (when the turnout was 71.7%).

Britain has a basically binary political system. That only about 10% of eligible voters here cast a vote for the governing party must ring alarm bells at CCHQ.

[Note: incidentally, since writing the above, a few hours ago, I see that journalists and others are tweeting that the result was “the worst result for the Conservatives since 1832“. Not right.

The Conservative Party did not really exist back then, and the party referred to were the Whigs, some of whom morphed into what —much later— became the Liberal Unionist Party and then part of the Conservative and Unionist Party. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whigs_(British_political_party).

The 1832 General Election now being referred to by journalists was one where there were three candidates in City of Chester, but two of those candidates were both Whigs —but with differing views— and the losing one, who came third, was the one now being called a “Conservative”.

In any case, that was a different world].

World Cup

I take no interest in the World Cup and similar circuses for the deluded masses, but have just now noticed that the “German” team is composed only half of Europeans (i.e. white players) let alone “Germans” (even if they may have a few bits of paper describing them as “German”).

I do not really want the photo on the blog, but I suppose that I have to make the point:

I suppose that the “England” team is now similar. What a farce.

A couple of kicks each would underline the message.

I notice that that incident was not in the UK, but am not sure where it happened; I think in France.

I never cease to be amazed at the ignorant comments made about the 1970s in the UK. The “Winter of Discontent” lasted for a couple of months in 1978-79, only really badly affected a few geographic areas, and even fewer urban areas had “bodies stacked up” etc, and not for long.

You also see people insistent that there were long periods of the 1970s with electrical blackouts etc. In fact, most areas did not have blackouts at all, even in the “three day week” period of late 1973.

The whole thing has been blown up into this fable in which a whole decade consisted of blackouts, nothing working, rubbish and corpses unburied or unburned, and a “three day week” which (according to the fable) lasted for years, rather than the few weeks it actually lasted.

What is actually alarming about some of those assertions is that they are made even by some people who were actually there at the time (as I was, incidentally: aged 17 in late 1973, and 22 in the winter of 1978-79). The fallibility of human memory is astounding at times; I notice it because I have always had an exceptional memory.

Good news: that ridiculous little monkey, Sajid Javid, the Israel-loving Muslim apostate and Ayn Rand devotee, is leaving political life.

Also, Rees-Mogg has said, of Chloe Smith, another rat leaving the sinking Con “Titanic“, that “Chloe Smith got in in a by-election, has served in the highest office, has been a distinguished minister.

In what world was Chloe Smith ever “distinguished“?!

The (((usual suspects)))

Exactly what Zionist Jews do all the time. They have been making malicious complaints about me for years: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/; and https://ianrobertmillard.org/2022/01/15/diary-blog-15-january-2022-including-an-outline-of-the-failure-of-the-latest-jew-zionist-attempt-to-prosecute-me/.

Just two of many examples.

I am no Trump partisan, but the situation is not without its suspicious aspects. Also, I find it very suspicious that the msm drones are all saying that “there is no evidence” for any chicanery.

In the longer term, one can see a general “culture war” developing, or continuing to develop, first in the USA, then elsewhere. Rudolf Steiner wrote about a far-future “War of All Against All”, and one can see the vague outlines even now: racial conflict, ideological conflict, old against young conflict, rich against poor, employed against unemployed; self-employed against both of those. Then we have male v. female, feminists v. men, and also against non-feminist women; feminists and others against “trans people”. The categories noted would not be a full list.

As far as the USA is concerned, I wonder how long it can exist as one state or (as it originally was) a federation of states. The divisions are great even as between the labels “Democrat”/”Republican”, which labels hide —to an extent— other divisions.

It might seem simplistic to suggest an “Alfred the Great” solution (as when he agreed to the “Danemark” in part of Eastern England, but maybe some of the states of the USA could develop into semi-official and more or less autonomous “ethnostates”. There have been small attempts, mostly in the Pacific Northwest: Idaho, Oregon, Washington state etc.

Slowly slowly, the toytown police state becomes a real one. Oh, yes, wearing velvet gloves— at first…

Stalin would have had lying and/or careless “experts” such as Whitty, Vallance and Ferguson, inter alia, shot. Their activity has resulted in massive damage to Britain, in all ways—economic, social, political, and health-wise.

“Boris” Johnson may, superficially or nominally, carry the rank of Prime Minister, but in reality has none of the ability, and is able to command none of the respect.

How much difference a few months makes…

Nazim Ali

I have blogged briefly in the past week and also a couple of years ago about the persecution of a London pharmacist and Palestinian, Nazim Ali, a persecution carried on by the (or part of the) Jewish (Jew-Zionist) lobby, namely the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”].

At first, the “CAA” tried to bear false witness against Nazim Ali, in order to support the CAA’s complaint about him to the police. When the police and CPS refused to prosecute Ali, the CAA made application in the High Court for a judicial review of the no-prosecution decision. That failed miserably. Comprehensively trashed by the Court.

The CAA then turned to another method of attack— the abuse of professional regulation. My own 2016 case in the Bar Disciplinary Tribunal was the template for such “lawfare” abuse by the Jew-Zionist lobby: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/.

After my case, Gideon Falter, the Director of the CAA, explicitly said to the (uncritical) Press (Judenpresse/Lugenpresse) that anyone making remarks critical of Jews “would face devastating professional consequences“. In fact, Falter and his fellow plotters had miscalculated (I had given up Bar practice anyway, 8 years previously! The deadhead…

The case brought by the CAA against Nazim Ali has been heard over the past week or so (and today is still being heard) in the disciplinary tribunal of the General Pharmaceutical Council.

What Nazim Ali said on the relevant occasion in 2017 (the Al Quds march in London) has now been found to be not “antisemitic” (not that there is anything unlawful about being “antisemitic” anyway, as the Crown Court judge said in one of the Alison Chabloz appeals).

Nazim Ali has been put through hell by those bullying Jew-Zionists. Here’s one of “them” enjoying Ali’s stress as the Tribunal vindicated him:

Looks as though binned ex-MP [Lab, Stoke on Trent North, 2015-2019], Zionist conspirator and one-time “confidential source” of the US Embassy in London, Ruth Smeeth, has been comfort-eating since the loss of her Westminster seat.

Still, “they” gave her a well-paid sinecure as “Chief Executive” of a fairly obscure charity, Index on Censorship, so she can scarcely complain. Also, now that Jewish lobby puppet Keir Starmer has become Leader of the “paper tiger” Labour Party, she is again in with that sad rump of a party, and may even be given a safe Labour seat (if any still exists).

Democracy in action. Even the dead have voting rights!

In the UK, it’s different. Since the Blair era, you cannot even form a political party (and contest elections etc) without getting approval from the Electoral Commission, a Blair-established quango. You may say, “Well, I’m sure that they would not prevent a party from putting up candidates“, but in fact they can, do, and have…

Of course, any overt “antisemitism” or “racism” and they will just close down your fledgling party without more ado…

And that is even before any interference by the “Equality and Human Rights Commission” [“EHRC”], as seen in the recent Labour Party travails.

Ursula Haverbeck

Ursula Haverbeck, a political prisoner in Angela Merkel’s ZOG police-state Germany, has finally been (again) freed from prison.

Furlough extension

As I predicted some months ago, the “furlough” scheme (stay at home on 80% of pay up to ยฃ2,500 per month) is being extended fot several months. Indian “clever boy” Rishi Sunak would probably have preferred not to do that, but without it (in circumstances where the “lockdown”/shutdown madness is being restarted and likely as not continued for months to come) would mean millions more unemployed and a huge political backlash.

This way, the political backlash is bought off (for now), and while the cost to the Treasury is huge, so would be millions of unemployed people.

Early evening foray

Went out just before dark to get fuel for car and check tyre pressures about 5 miles away. Surprising amount of highway traffic (rural/semi-rural A-road) in what is an area without nearby large towns or cities. I thought that everything or almost everything was supposed to be shut. So where are these cars all going?

When there is no self-knowledge

I happened to see this tweet from the Council of Europe:

Ah. Free speech. Unless you want to say something “unapproved” about the “holocaust” farrago (in almost all EU states). Key recent names? Alison Chabloz (barred from entering France for 40 years); Dieudonne (imprisoned); Ursula Haverbeck (repeatedly imprisoned); others too.

Incidentally, the above tweet was retweeted by self-describing “journalist” and “historian” (a sacked one-time temporary teacher), Mike Stuchbery, an “antifa” cheerleader who spends an inordinate amount of time (well, I suppose that he has a lot of time on his hands) trying to get people’s free speech removed by complaining about them to Twitter, Facebook, other social media sites, even the police, and even to German security organizations. What a pathetic hypocrite! https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/10/23/a-few-words-about-mike-stuchbery/.

Nazim Ali— Update

Well, Nazim Ali’s case concluded at the tribunal of the General Pharmaceutical Council. While what he said at the Al Quds march in 2017 was determined to be “not ‘antisemitic’“, his words were determined to be “offensive“. He was, in other words, found technically guilty. The tribunal decided that azim Ali should be given an official warning as sole penalty.

So there it is. The malicious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” fake charity has tried for 3 years to “get” Nazim Ali. They sent Jew spies to the Al Quds march, badgered the police and CPS, went to the High Court, lost aain; finally had minor success when the General Pharmaceutical Council decided to raise a disciplinary case against Nazim Ali. Now we see the net result of all that plotting and conspiring: a mere “warning”…

Another CAA failure. Falter, Silverman, Glasman, Applebaum etc will be gnashing their teeth, wailing and, metaphorically, eating bitter herbs…

Having said that, the pharmaceutical profession regulator should not have become involved at all.

Diary Blog, 21 September 2020, including thoughts on both the opposition to “panicdemic” policies, and re. dissidence generally

Coronavirus. Is the country waking up?

At last the country seems to be starting to wake up from the nightmare of, not “the virus”, but the crazy over-reaction to it.

I happened to hear Sir Graham Brady, the MP for Altrincham and Sale West [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_Brady] on the BBC Radio 4 Today Programme. I was struck by his apparent determined opposition to the behaviour of the Government. He made the point that, had another MP not laid down an amendment to the Coronavirus Act 2020 [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronavirus_Act_2020], the Government would in effect be able to rule by decree until 2022. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-54232375

I predicted quite a while ago (about 7 or 8 months ago) that any serious Parliamentary opposition to this government of clowns would eventually come —and have to come, in a Parliament where the Government sits on a majority of 80 mostly inexperienced MPs— not from enfeebled and compliant Labour under Jewish lobby puppet Keir Starmer, but from within the Conservative Party itself.

This is what happens in dictatorships, whether elected or unelected. Take the Soviet Union. There was opposition of an unapproved (illegal) sort: the NTS [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Alliance_of_Russian_Solidarists], the intellectual dissidents within the Soviet Union [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dissident#Soviet_dissidents] and, least important after the 1930s, Trotskyists [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trotskyism].

However, the real opposition to Stalinism was within the CPSU (Communist Party) itself. Indeed, we now know that one of the most committed “anti-Soviet” “dissidents” was also one of the highest Soviet leaders, Beria [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavrentiy_Beria], who however was taking part in the very policies and repressions of which he mostly disapproved! I have blogged about Beria previously: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2018/11/03/what-if-beria-had-succeeded-stalin/

Beria was not alone in the Politburo. Other members had doubts about various core Soviet policies: Collectivization, mass repressions etc. After the death of Stalin, Khrushchev, himself one of the harshest Stalinist repressors in the 1930s and 1940s, arranged (with the rest of the surviving Politburo) to release most of the prisoners of the GULAG labour camp system [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulag], and made his famous”Secret Speech” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_the_Cult_of_Personality_and_Its_Consequences] in 1956, after which he appeared internationally as the figurehead of the post-Stalin wave of “the Thaw”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khrushchev_Thaw.

Where was the most significant opposition to Ceaucescu in Romania? In the highest councils of the State itself. Who ordered the execution of Ceausescu and his ghastly wife? Revolutionaries? No, not as such. Palace revolutionaries carrying the rank of general or minister.

Where is any opposition in North Korea? Among peasants and industrial workers? No, they are far too downtrodden, poor and frightened even to think of rebelling. The opposition, as far as it exists at all outside people’s own heads, exists in the higher ranks of the military machine and State officials. Which is why Kim Jong Un has had some (including his own relatives) shot, cut to pieces, fed to dogs etc. He knows where the opposition to him lies.

Reverting to the UK, now staggering under the weight of the governmental mistakes of 2020, we see the same. There is no real opposition from the Labour Party. Those feeble “me too”, bent-knee bad jokes have swallowed the whole “Coronavirus will kill everyone” thing whole. All they do is support the Government or say “do it more!” Nothing can be expected from Labour. In any case, Labour has no power even in potential, having only 202 MPs out of 650.

So we see that opposition to the absurd dictatorship of the clowns now starts to grow from within the Conservative Party itself, from previously-supportive newspapers etc. It may be that the courts will now turn to the illegality of several of the measures that have been taken.

Yes, I too noticed that Martha Kearney, that ridiculous BBC drone, was trying, repeatedly, to close down Sir Graham Brady, and to weaken what Brady was saying about this dictatorship of idiots pretending to be a government.

I effectively never use the railways now, but was talking to a lady who travelled from Hampshire to London then (after taxi transfer) to the “****hole of England” (the Kent estuary) recently. She said that the First Class from Hampshire to Waterloo was empty, and the Kent suburban service almost empty.

How mad is the Government, to keep pumping money into this black hole? It continues to depress the economy by its actions, makes the public scared of their own shadows (or of those nearby), then is surprised that the working masses do not want to commute or attend offices!

Just remember that, out of 8,000,000,000 people in the world, 1,000,000, i.e. 1 in every 8,000, have died from (or, more accurately, with) Coronavirus. That puts this whole “panicdemic” in proportion.

Yes, but 60+ years divided (albeit unequally) among 7 defendants means about 9 years each, so they will be out, averaged, in about 4.5 years…Idle thoughts? Covert elimination…

Eventually, a real government will have to thoroughly clean our Augean Stables.

This is (even though “the virus” exists and is a threat to public health to a limited extent) a gigantic confidence trick worldwide.
