I wonder what the police would do if most criminals were not incredibly stupid?
Waitrose foray
Went to supermarket in local town. Whoever has suffered over the past 12 years of “austerity” nonsense and “lockdown” nonsense, it cannot have been (at least some of) the local people who shop at Waitrose. A superfluity of Range-Rovers and other large SUVs, as well as Porsches, Mercedes, and even the odd Morgan.
Completed my modest shop and bought a £5 scratchcard. Looked like a non-winner, but then it came up trumps. £100. Maybe my luck is changing…

Pretty obvious why. That sort of news does not much interest me.
…and was a considerable expenses cheat and blodger, effectively fraudulent.

Architectural reminiscence
I happened to see this website: https://www.anthroposophie.ch/en/arts-architecture/topics/articles/architecture/buildings-surrounding-the-goetheanum.html
In 1978, I was able to visit the Goetheanum, situated in Switzerland, not very far from Basel.
While I was in the area (one week), I had a few interesting experiences, and saw a few things the average tourist does not. Perhaps I shall blog another time about those aspects of my visit. Today, just a few photographs and notes about the Goetheanum and surrounding buildings.

When I visited the Goetheanum, the Glass House, originally a place used to work artistically on glass, housed the Natural Sciences section of the Anthroposophical Society. A remarkably modern-seeming building, considering that it was built in 1914.

Good point. Of course, “democracy” is not easily defined, even assuming that it is (whatever it is) a “good thing”. I have examined these questions a few times on the blog: see, eg, https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/15/has-parliamentary-democracy-as-we-have-known-it-until-now-had-its-day-in-the-uk/
All true, but this is merely more “controlled opposition”.
The post-1945 world order has been falling apart for some time: the fall of socialism after 1989, the rise of China, the migration-invasion by blacks and browns into Europe and other formerly white European lands. As in Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, there are now, in simple terms, three large players: USA (with client-states such as the UK), China (with its clients), and Russia, struggling but still there, still with massive armed forces and very large numbers of ICBMs.
Orwell was in some ways a prophet, but (having seen Stalinism crush almost everything before it in the 1930s and 1940s) could not imagine that socialism (Stalinism and all other forms of old-style socialism) would just disappear, as it —in effect— has done.
Our present world is not pure Nineteen Eighty-Four but only partly-so; there are elements of Brave New World as well, and other nuances. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brave_New_World; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-Four

Germany in 1914 and 1939 could not devastate the UK with nuclear weapons; China might be able to do that, though its present strategy seems to be simply to flood Europe with all sorts of Chinese immigrants, thus fulfilling the maxim of Sun Tzu: “to win without war is the supreme excellence“…[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Tzu; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Art_of_War].
At any rate, the UK has much to lose and nothing to gain by —once again— doing what the USA’s ruling circles want the UK to do. Much of what China does is appalling, but the UK is not in a position where it can challenge China, realistically.
People should start to resist seriously, and fight against the brainwashing of their children. Some imagine that homeschooling is something “not allowed”. In fact, that is not so: see https://www.gov.uk/home-education; https://www.gov.uk/home-schooling-information-council.

“The lifespan of people eaten up by hate and obsession is much shorter than the human average as a result of the psychosomatic destruction of their immune systems.”
I am no medic, but that sounds plausible at least, looking at some of those who hate my truth, and who have conspired (and continue to conspire) against me…

Just a question, who is the leader/hero that someone mentioned in a tweet? He said he was fighting the same (((enemy))) I think he was from Austria and wanted to be a painter… It sounds familiar… (LOL)

In the discussions, or monologues, published as Hitler’s Table Talk, he favours lotteries, saying that he had considered opening one in Germany in the 1930s, and that he had often wondered whether the existence of one in pre-WW1 Austria had contributed to the sunny outlook of the population there at that time.

I can’t believe what I have just read about Prince Philip’s will. I took for granted that ALL wills are secret. What the hell is going on?

In England and Wales, all wills *sent to the Probate Registry* are thenceforth public documents, in principle, and can be seen by anyone. See
https://www.gov.uk/search-will-probate
and
https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/wills-or-administrations-after-1858/
In this case, Prince Philip’s records will *eventually* be made public (after 90 years) but not immediately: see
https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/in-the-know/572678-court-rules-prince-philips-will-to-remain-sealed-for-90-years.
https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2021/05/prince-philip-will-30-million-three-key-staff-prince-harry-inheritance
Not all public records are immediately available in England. Cabinet discussions are commonly restricted for 30 years; other matters are restricted for 50, 75, or 100 years (eg almost anything to do with the operations of the secret and security services).
Philip lived for many years with a woman descended from Mountbatten. She even travelled with the Queen to Philip’s funeral (a rather gracious gesture by the Queen, imo). I expect that this secrecy order has to do mainly with that situation.

Thank you very much for all the information. Still, I am very surprised that a will can be open to public scrutiny. I supposed that if anyone wants to challenge or question a will he/she should be contacting the solicitor involved. What can you expect from an ignoramus like me? (LOL)

Indeed, who can forget her appearance on “I’m a celebrity,” or her inane comments! The fact remains; HnH get excited about anyone to the right of David Cameron and Nadine Dorries is another dreary and uncultured Liberal Conservative, which says more about HnH than Dorries herself!
