Budget thoughts
The Budget announcements were mostly minor, if not very minor, and of course the money set to be spent on Defence (especially that wasted on support for the Kiev-regime dictatorship) is money thrown away, but I do think that getting rid of standing charges on gas bills is a good move, though something that should have been done decades ago. In fact, it should apply to all utility bills. Those charges are as outdated and unjust as the only-recently-junked “ground rent” scam profiteering.
