I have never met Fry, but I knew someone who met him at a wedding in the 1980s, and my friend (a Labour Party activist himself, in fact) was quite surprised and almost shocked by what he said were Fry’s “incredibly Left-wing” views.

Like many Americans, that one fails to see that, while it is true that there is vast disparity of wealth in the UK, the disparity is actually less so here than in the USA. As for the “standard of living” enjoyed by Americans, in many cases it is far below that of many Brits in the UK.
I myself have met multimillionaires in the US, as well as ordinarily-wealthy people, but I have in the past also met many poor people there. The median income may be higher, but when you factor in the cost of paying for medical services, tertiary education etc, the situation is not so clear-cut. Not to mention the fact that most working Americans get almost no paid holiday time

Re. Alison Chabloz herself, she failed last Thursday to get bail pending her appeal against her most recent magistrates’ court conviction for lampooning Jewish behaviour, having been sentenced to 22 weeks (11 weeks actually in prison) on 14 April 2022, and so will remain in Bronzefield Prison (near Heathrow Airport) until 29 June 2022, unless released early on electronic tag (which seems unlikely, at present).

What, actually, do you have to do in the Britain of 2022 to get a stiff or even halfway appropriate sentence? It often seems to me that, unless you lampoon or criticize Jewish behaviour, or murder someone, or rob a bank (thus violating the Holy Money), you are unlikely to be imprisoned these days. Ask Alison Chabloz.
The Daily Mirror report above is now the norm, not some kind of eccentric exception. Serious crimes involving violence, even brutality, almost unpunished.

I hate Stephen Fry for what he is and what he stands for, but in this case, I would like to point out a typically obnoxious English attitude that I despise: the bashing of the American people in general based on a certain cultural “superiority” that only exists in the mind of Stephen Fry and many Britons.
Of course, generally speaking, the so-called “American popular culture” is trash; mainly because it was manufactured by Jews around the 1940s. However, since the 1960s England has been absorbing it gleefully and manufacturing its own trash (East Enders, Coronation St., etc). Today, from a sociological and cultural point of view England is as disgusting as the US, if not worse. Who the f… is Stephen Fry to laugh at the American people? He is just a typically smug, pedantic, pretentious middle-class English prat who feels superior putting down other persons.
I remember an episode of “Parkinson” (it was about 10 or 15 years ago) where Stephen Fry was awfully rude and patronizing towards the American actor Lary Hagman and his countrymen. Larry Hagman kept his cool and showed who was really superior as a human being through his polite and dignified behaviour. It seems that many Englishmen (like Fry) still believe they are in the 1860s when the English could afford to be rude and patronizing about everybody else.

Very true. All the more so now that Fry himself lives, we are told, in the US.
The more educated of the Americans are often more cultured than many of the (even educated) English, though the Americans’ Achilles’ Heel is the often deep penetration of their psyche by Jew-Zionist and pro-Israel propaganda. I think that that is still far worse in the USA.
As for myself, I am often thought to be “anti-American” when I am (often) not. I try to see things clearly. After all, I have spent plenty of time there, was once (long ago) married to an American, and have an American professional qualification (Bar of the State of New York), though I have never really used it.
