While I have no reason to think that “Captain Tom” was other than “well-meaning”, that whole thing was just a ridiculous “silly season” kind of story, and was pushed by the mass media because it tended to validate the idea that NHS service is wonderful and that the NHS was only failing in its main mission because overwhelmed by the “Covid” virus (that in fact, statistically, killed very few people).

I was always suspicious of the hangers-on, especially the daughter, who now turns out to be yet another “grifter” or even fraudster, like so many around today: “Jack Monroe”, “Supertanskiii”, Jolyon Maugham, “Man Behaving Dadly” etc. Hundreds of this or that type are on Twitter alone.

As for the NHS, the cartoon below seems to encapsulate the public debate:

The NHS principle (“free at point of use”) is one I support, but it is clear that the NHS has lost its way. It —like the Welfare State generally— cannot work when mass immigration causes an endless line of new demand for its services. Also, maladministration has been patent for years, indeed for at least two decades. At present, the NHS is not really “doing what it says on the tin”. It is now a very hit-and-miss service.

They never really tried. Yet another political scam. The Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan requires Europe to be invaded by non-Europeans, particularly blacks and browns, and to be ruled by Jews and part-Jews. Look around you…

As far as the Channel migration-invasion is concerned, once a small number of boats were sunk (by Britain’s otherwise now-pointless Royal Navy), and that fact publicized, few others would even try; but the existing political system is either too weak, or implicated in the Coudenhove-Kalergi conspiracy, to take the initial harsh decision required.

Thus, instead of sinking the boats of the invaders, the Navy ferries the invaders to Dover, assisted by other corrupted organizations such as the RNLI, the Coastguard, the Border Force (“Farce”) etc.

Whatever one may think of Johnny Mercer MP, his wife gets full marks both for loyalty and humour.

Point proven. Not that humour is everything, but it helps.

A very worthwhile charity.

Guess which countries will suffer the most if a major conventional war breaks out in Eastern Europe and then Central Europe? Germany and Poland. Naturally, Germans are concerned. As to the Poles, God knows.

Good grief…

I agree almost completely. The NHS is an object-lesson in maladministration, particularly the hospital sector.

As blogged previously, the Kiev regime is running out of cannon-fodder.

Crazy Jewish woman, who holds herself out as being an expert in international relations and foreign trade, displays a complete lack of understanding, perhaps wilfully.

If Ukraine (Kiev regime) is allowed to join NATO, before very long there will be a situation created which might trigger “Article 5”, meaning that there would be war between Russia and the NATO states. The UK might then be subject to attack by strategic nuclear weapons. Nein danke…

That is, in fact, Zelensky’s only real chance of achieving any sort of “victory” in this war, to have a revolution in Russia, thus collapsing the front-line; as in 1917, when Russia was facing the Central Powers.

Russia has money coming out of its ears. The economic sanctions put in place by the EU, USA and UK have actually strengthened the Russian economy and strategically-hastened the fall of the post-1945 international order. The sanctions have mainly hit the taxpayers of the Western powers.

Russia needs to strengthen its culture, and cut back on the products and values coming out of Hollywood, New York and other such centres of decadence. Films, TV, pop music etc.

  1. One of the main justifications for imposing a lockdown was to try to ensue the NHS was NOT overwhelmed which WAS a very realistic scenario which could have happened without it.

The lockdowns did save lives but not as many as should have been the case because libertarian morons in the Cabinet such as Rishi Sunak and Boris Idiot lifted them too early, imposed an utterly braindead ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ virus spreading scheme NO other country did, and we have an all too often, lawless and degenerate population who wilfully disobeyed the rules and a government which didn’t order the police to properly crack down on these degenerate, selfish scumbags as in well run countries like Singapore with its brilliant response to the pandemic.

Singapore coped well but then it has a government that is very dedicated to law and order and that scares the people there into complying with public health measures.

  2. NO! NO! NO! Priti Useless! It isn’t that hard to deal with this constant invasion at all but it requires political WILL which simply isn’t there, is it, with your party of anti-British, globalist, libertarian loony cretins. No doubt Brexshit is also to blame for it. You lot were so eager to yank Britain out of the EU you didn’t prepare the borders agency to deal with the fall out of not co operating with the French as fellow EU members. Alternative arrangements should have been ready to go as soon as we left the EU but were not since your party doesn’t care about the issue.

Mrs Thatcher would have dealt with it better since although she had libertarian leanings when it came to economics she was quite socially conservative and her government did make a passable attempt to limit immigration. Infact, Thatcher’s era was the last time immigration was under any real form of control.

  3. Good for Germany! Yes, Germany would be a prime target for Russian nukes.

We would be too since we have a government that doesn’t give a damm about our national interests eg continuing to allow hundreds of unvetted illegal immigrants to wash-up on our shores daily who could be Islamist terrorists ect.

It makes me laugh when some idiots pooh pah the Russian nuclear arsenal. Yes, large numbers of their nukes may well be not working or oboselete but it is an undoubted fact a large number will work and some of their weapons are amongst the world’s most sophisticated.

Russia, in contrast to us, can launch them by land-based silos and nuclear bombers. Their arsenal is also the WORLD’S LARGEST.

As you say. Russia is said to have *6,000* nuclear weapons. Yes, not all “strategic” (long range and enormous), not all deliverable for one reason or another. Let us say that half can actually be used, so 3,000, that some would inevitably be kept in reserve to deter other potential enemies, so leaving, say, 1,500. Then let us say that half or even two-thirds might or will be intercepted. That still leaves 500-750 missiles, and even if “only” 250 actually reach their targets in (mainly) the USA and UK, and that 20-30 might target the UK, that would be enough to pretty much wipe out the UK in every way.

If the USA gets hit by, say, 100 or 200, that is goodbye USA for a century or more. The 100th-biggest city in the USA is actually a place of no importance, Huntsville (Alabama), a place with only 200,000 inhabitants.

Of course, any nuclear attack would target air bases, missile sites, ports, army camps, as well as the larger cities, so places like Huntsville might escape. However, all big centres would as good as cease to exist.

This Ukraine folly has to end, before it ends us.

  4. Well, who would have thought focus groups have revealed that having an obscenly rich extra from It Ain’t Half Hot Mum would prove to be NOT popular anywhere outside a tiny handful of cosmopolitan, very rich Tory seats such as Chelsea and Fulham and the Cities of London and Westminster?:

  6. The despicable Labour Party plans to make a possible Tory government comeback in future elections a more remote possibility than it is already looking according to the latest polls with their blatant idea to rig future elections in their favour by allowing sixteen and seventeen year old kids the right to vote.

Needless to say, this idea is barmy and there is NO proven need for it in anyway, shape or form and at any rate Britain is currently INLINE with the vast majority of the world’s countries who set it at 18.

Just how blatant can the undemocratic, dangerous Labour Party get in their obvious attempts to tilt the future electorate more in their favour ON TOP of their disgraceful open door immigration policies the last time they were in office?

What is the dopy Conservative Party going to do about it? Wait for their impending defeat and do nothing?

I suggest they entrench legislation NOW to prevent any future Labour government from doing this.

In Germany they have a constitutional court to prevent a self-serving party like Labour rigging elections.

The UK electoral system is rigged in several ways. One is by allowing non-whites the vote. That section of the population is around 20%, is concentrated in urban and suburban areas, and is very rapidly growing. Allowing voting at 16 would accelerate the effect, because the white population of the UK is actually decreasing, both in percentage terms and in absolute terms. Only the blacks and browns etc are breeding. In other words, even now it is hard to see a social-national party winning power by the ballot box. Just about possible in theory, but really not. In 20 years? Completely impossible.

      1. Yes, that fact that the younger members of the electorate tend to come from ethnic minorities and therefore are more likely to vote Labour is the undoubted real reason why Labour are planning this uncalled for, not remotely necessary and ridiculous extension of the franchise.

I expect the exact same reasoning is at work in Germany where their three party coalition government of the Social Democrats (SPD), Greens and Free Democrats (FDP) wants to do the same.
