[Petrograd, March (new style) 1917]

Today marks the 109th anniversary of the Bolshevik seizure of power in October (old style) 1917, arguably the most significant single event in the Europe of the 20thC.

Saturday quiz

Well, this week 5/10, thus trumping the 3/10 scored by political journalist John Rentoul. I knew the answers to questions 3, 4, 5, 9, and 10. I just missed getting the answer to question 8 as well but, in the old saying, “a miss is as good as a mile“…

Ridiculous Andy Burnham is continuing with the “we stand with Ukraine” nonsense, funnelling money to the Kiev regime dictatorship while Britain sinks under inflationary pressure. Unsurprising. He is just another performing monkey, not an organ-grinder.

Talking point

From my old Twitter account. A pack of Jews conspired to have me expelled from Twitter, which happened in 2018. Ironically, the expulsion meant that I was saved from yet another politically-motivated prosecution, as happened later (in 2023-2024). The Jewish lobby shot itself in the foot…

A few of my old tweets are still extant, in the Twitter/X timelines of Jew-Zionist trolls.

Another old tweet:

Still true, perhaps more obviously so in the circumstances of 2026.

[“Powerful explosions in Riyadh and an urgent warning from the United States

A second wave of powerful explosions rocked the capital of Saudi Arabia this morning. At the same time, the United States warned its citizens in the kingdom about the possibility of “large-scale and significant attacks” in the coming hours.

A representative of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia, confirming the rocket attack on Riyadh, stated that one of the missiles was intercepted. Earlier, he also reported an airstrike on Riyadh and the interception of a drone.“]

Ha.

I hope that the easily-misled American public understand which (((element))) is instigating this war (and most of the others)…

  1. I thought Rosario was Argentina´s second-most populous city, but I was wrong by a small margin. The title belongs to Córdoba with 1.505.000 inhabitans, followed by Rosario with 1.348.000.

Incidentally, the city of Córdoba, capital of the homonymous province, is known as “La Docta” (The Wise One) because in 1613 the Jesuits founded the first university of what would later become Argentina. It is also one of the oldest and most prestigious univertsities

  2. I am sorry I pushed the wrong button, and the damned comment was posted before I finished it. I was saying that Córdoba´s university is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in South America.

That is why the Cordobeses have a reputation for being up themselves! It happens in every country. There will always be idiots who believe they are special or superior for having been born in a certain place or gone to some famous school or university.

That is certainly true of both Oxford and Cambridge in the UK. Both “living off their hump(s)” as we say. The same is true of many other parts of British society, including (but not exclusively) the whole tertiary educational sector, secondary schools, Parliament, the Monarchy, the Bar, the Church of England, SIS/MI6, and the BBC.
