As I know only too well, free speech is on the way out in the UK. I am (obviously) not a Muslim, let alone an “Islamist”, but I am not at all “offended” by some foreign person shouting about “Jihad” against Israel in the streets of London. I am not even very offended, or would not be, if the same foreign individual were to cry out for “Jihad” against the UK, or against me personally. After all, the most extreme Zionist Jews have been tweeting malevolently about me for about 13 years. The people of whom to be afraid are those not shouting in the streets.
If foreign (inc. foreign but born here) groups are a danger, then resettle them outside the UK.
As for Suella Braverman, she (like Jenrick, and Mark Harper, who was weaselling for Israel, as usual, on Sky News this morning) is just another doormat for the Jewish lobby. She has no idea of much, either politically or, I think, legally. A silly woman who is trying to position herself to be the leader of whatever small group of Conservative Party MPs is left after 2024.
A significant problem that deserves a great deal more attention from society than it is getting.
In the old rhetorical question, how do you shuffle a pack consisting only of jokers?
The only “shuffle” that might have at least a slight effect would be to replace Sunak by someone recognisably English and at least superficially credible. The same with the Cabinet as a whole. At present, the song might be “where have all the English gone?“

As I blogged before, the old Soviet KGB had great expertise in digging tunnels. The one shown above looks well-constructed, lined etc. No idea as to depth, though. Presumably very deep.
It is not impossible that there will eventually be a kind of sectarian/civil war across Israel/Palestine. The massive military advantages Israel possesses lie in nuclear weapons, tanks and other armour, air power, high-tech surveillance, much of which loses effectiveness or even utility in closely-packed areas (which describes much of Israel/Palestine).
There may be a war, eventually, in which infantry or guerrilla forces play a major part.
Impossible? Maybe, but my prediction, a few years ago, that the Palestinians might break out of their “open prisons” to attack Israeli civilians in Jewish areas has now come to pass in the recent attack on Southern Israel, so who knows?
As I blogged before, the Gaza situation, as it now is, is most similar, historically, to the Reduction of the Warsaw Ghetto in 1943, but this time the Jews are not the ragged defenders but the heavily-armed and armoured army, with air support, attacking an urban enclave filled with mostly-unarmed civilians (in this case, mostly babies, young children, and young teenagers).

A new British Tory PM such as Penny Mordaunt and a new British cabinet chosen by her with a relentless focus on measures to deal with the cost of living issue and what used to be thought of as Tory issues like law and order and immigration might improve their position a bit.
Having a Labour Party Shadow Cabinet being of a less alien appearance than the present Tory cabinet is no doubt helping them to a certain extent in the polls.

Amusing and clever observation John. Although I have been following closely the social and political history of Britain over the last 20 years, the takeover of the political establishment by Indians over the last 5 years is shocking, to say the least.
Having said that, this would have not happened without the cowardly and treacherous collaboration of the White British political class. They deserve each other.

It must be nice to live in a GENUINE democracy like Switzerland instead of a country that is a heavily compromised semi-democracy at best like the UK.
Switzerland has one of the best electoral systems in Europe if not the world and also regular referendums.
So much for those die hard opponents of Proportional Representation in Britain when they say PR only brings instability.
Switzerland proves that ‘argument’ is nonsense as it is amongst the world’s richest and most stable countries. Indeed, if anything, Switzerland is TOO politically stable having not gone to war in over one hundred years.
No wonder mega-rich rockstars like Phil Collins choose to reside there. Phil wouldn’t want his multi-million pound fortune to be eaten away by high taxes as in Britain with payments to numerous illegal immigrants and blatantly fake ‘asylum seekers’.

I see that a tube train driver is under investigation by the terminally useless and expensive police ‘force’ that is the Metropolitan Police for apparently leading a chant to ‘free Palestine’. The Underground train-driver matter reminds me of an incident told to me by a friend in 1990. She was on an Underground train when the driver announced that the Prime Minister, Mrs. Thatcher, had just resigned. Apparently, the whole carriage had exploded with clapping and cheers.
I do not know whether that was replicated elsewhere, because I lived in New Jersey at the time.

He is indeed. Surely even the least politically aware person in the country would have found it more than a touch odd when he immediately buggered off as soon as his lifetime’s ambition to get this country out of the EU was voted for on June 23rd 2016?
Why didn’t he stay around to ensure the Tories didn’t mess around and immediately started to get this country out ie to look over every step they took to do this or not?
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to learn in the years ahead that he has connections to MI5/M16.

There would be no problem with masses of people crying for Jihad in London or elsewhere in this country if British governments actually bothered to control immigration for once.
This phenomenon is the inevitable result of overly lax immigration control in the past and present. We now have the situation whereby trouble abroad is immediately reflected on our streets with the police wedged in an increasingly untenable and awkward position in between opposing sides.
Don’t you just love diversity? It is the so-called ‘gift’ that was totally unneeded, unwanted and has not the slightest semblance of a real democratic mandate for it.

I wonder if some of those people, if they are still alive now, would do that today? Admittedly, Maggie wasn’t without her faults but her governments did make a passable stab at controlling immigration which David Cameron’s government and subsequent ‘Tory’ governments haven’t replicated in any real form.
Mrs Thatcher DID have some virtues at times. I think she would have been repelled and appalled at some of the PC extremism we are seeing now in this country.

I expect ‘the blessed Margaret’ never forgot or forgave that supremely nasty even by the usual dire Israeli standards PM Begin for allowing missiles to be exported from Israel to Argentina during the Falklands War.
As that episode showed along with his reputed remarks we British were, “dogs” Israel is not a real friend of Britain and never has been. Indeed, the state was built upon vicious anti-British terrorism which included British troops being hanged in olive groves using piano wire.
They don’t really have any friends in the world apart from the USA where their Zionist Lobby has a disturbing amount of influence and ensures US politicians come to grief if they are so unwise enough to stray too far out of line.

Due to the era Maggie was born in, she was probably quite wary of Israel still. Margaret was quite xenophobic in some ways and had a basic suspicion of foreigners and that would apply to Israelis as well. A true Tory in that way!
Maggie’s pro Israel stance was probably in the manner of viewing the ‘Holy Land’ with an affinity to her Christian Methodist upbringing rather than a demented, un Christian, pro-Zionism as it is with Sunak and the evil, human rights denying wretch that is Starmer.

Many people refer to Israel as the ‘Jewish state’. Technically-speaking, that would be correct but I think a more appropriate description is the Zionist state. Some ultra-othodox Jews think Israel should not exist and they have been on the pro-Palestine demonstrations calling for peace and harmony between Jews and Palestinians. They believe it is wrong for Jews to have their own state before the Messiah comes.
These Jews show a more genuine desire for peace and harmony in the ‘Holy Land’/Palestine/Israel/The Zionist State than evil, Zionist fanatic, human rights denying, so-called ‘human rights’ lawyers such as Sir Keir Starmer.
They are far better people than he could ever be.
