All very reasonable, at first blush. Helps citizens, saves public money etc. However, this may well be one of the first steps to microchips implanted under the skin. Anyone refusing to have one will not be punished directly, at least not at first, but will simply be cut off from accessing most health services. Later, perhaps cut off from receiving State benefits, even pensions. Then, once most people are on the system, your beliefs and political activities will be added to the mix. The “racist“, “antisemitic” etc will be cut off from services and State financial help, and be even more marginalized for their views etc. After that, taken into “protective custody”…
Most schools, most of the time, are just useless. For the mass, a school is a place where children are “warehoused” during the day while the parents are (both?) at work making money (mostly for someone else).

No wonder that the Kiev regime has to use press-gangs to “recruit” new cannon-fodder. No-one wants to volunteer, or even be drafted.
A good example, the above Twitter/X thread, of the ever-more-apparent split in the UK between those who see the realities and those who choose not to see them. The fact is that Winter Fuel Payment is or was a great boon to pensioners, and now huge numbers of them are going to be deprived of it; both those who are entitled to apply for Pension Credit but have not done so and those who are above (often not far above) the Pension Credit capital or income cut-off points, and will therefore not now be given WFP.

Few if any want to be caught and forced onto the front-lines to fight for the shambolic and corrupt dictatorship of the Jew Zelensky. Who can blame them? 6 weeks of rudimentary training, and then transported (presumably under guard) to the front. I wonder how long the average such “recruit” lasts before being killed or badly wounded, or taken prisoner? A month or two?

I feel sorry for the Ukrainians who are been drafted. They must be in the same situtaion as the German lads called-up in 1944. I saw a very good video about the German Army losses in WW2 and the statistics showed that those badly- trained youngsters conscripted from mid-1944 onwards did not last very long, perhaps a week or a month (if lucky).

I knew a lady whose husband had been an officer of the Flying Corps in WW1. The average time they lasted before being killed or captured (mostly killed) was 6 weeks. Somehow, “that cup passed from him”, though, and he died aged about 80 in the early 1970s, not from being shot down in a biplane but from a cerebral haemorrhage while strolling in St. James, London.

Your comment about the former RFC pilot reminded me of an excellent and very moving British film that has been almost forgotten. Luckily someone retrieved it and uploaded it on YT in high quality. I remember watching it in 1976 with my father.

An excellent and highly detailed video about the famous “Arc de Triomphe” of Paris, built by order of Napoleon to commemorate the Grand Army´s victorious campaigns of 1805, 1806 and 1807. I posted a comment explaining that by order of Hitler in June 1940 the German Army DID NOT paraded trough the Arch of Triumph as this would have been a humiliating insult to the French people. Strangely enough my comment was pinned as a “remarkable comment”.
The author is a young Mexican architect and all the videos are narrated in English. I recommend his channel.

Interesting how arches so often commemorate victories (or losses accompanying victories). A few are the Arc de Triomphe, the Arch of Trajan, and the Menin Gate at Ypres, Flanders.
