Well, a modest 4/10 this week, though still more than John Rentoul’s 2/10. I knew the answers to questions 4, 5, 8, and 9. Rather hit the post, as people say, on question 1. Had never heard of it, and guessed —wrongly— Red Leicester.

This is a beautiful project. No doubt that police and military horses work very hard. It is reassuring to know that the horses get to retire in such beautiful and peaceful surroundings.

By sheer chance, visiting a British mlitary YT channel, I found out that the IWM (Imperial War Museum) is going to shut down a famous, permanent display of all the Victoria Crosses in its possession. I believe, as the man in the video says, there is no excuse for this and I would not be surprised if, as someone suggested, it will be replaced by some “woke” display. The announcment is made on the video at 1 minute and 40 seconds (1.40)

Here is more about the closing down of the VC display at the IWM. It is unbelievable! The museum did not put a penny as Lord Ashcroft paid for the whole instalation.
