Saturday quiz
Well, this week I scored 7/10, thus beating political journalist John Rentoul, who scored only 4/10. I did not know the answers to questions 4, 8, and 9.

Hawkwind?! There’s a “blast from the past”! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawkwind.
As a matter of fact, I recall representing one or another “faction” of Hawkwind at the Plymouth County Court in 2004 or 2005. What amazed me was that, 20-30 years or more after the peak of their fame, they still had a hard core of fans who were willing to travel hundreds of miles to “support” their faction of the band at court.
One of the dozen or so fans that turned up at court actually got into conversation with me, trying to discover whether I was part of the enemy faction! I don’t think that those fans really understood that a barrister is not emotionally involved with the interests of the lay clients he represents. The fan who spoke with me had travelled from North Wales to Plymouth just to be present at the brief hearing, which only lasted about an hour, if that, being an interlocutory matter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawkwind#1999-2007:_Anniversaries,_disputes_and_Voiceprint.
Peculiar people. Eccentric, though apparently harmless.

Seems that some of the old Aussie spirit is still alive after all.
As I have noted a few times, a dry run for more serious later repressions, perhaps hundreds or even thousands of years in the future (we shall still be there, btw, thanks to reincarnation…).

That is how the Israeli Jews behave in Israel. The Jews elsewhere in the world, such as in the UK, are a small minority, so cannot unleash such widespread brutalities. In the UK, they have to use “lawfare” instead of warfare, meaning making malicious accusations to police, employers, academic institutions, social media etc.
I rarely if ever use the terms “right” and “left”, but the point is taken.
Strange fact: the mostly not-so-tyrannical US Presidents of the 19th and 20th centuries were shot at, and sometimes killed, by dissidents, yet G.W. Bush never had any such challenges.
On the other hand, F.D. Roosevelt was fairly tyrannical, arguably, and he was shot at, but his attempted assassination preceded his actual incumbency: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuseppe_Zangara.
Aux armes, citoyens!

Whatever freedom there was in the UK has been eroded quite fast in the past two decades, largely because the Jew-Zionist element, influential in the msm, the political world, the legal world and elsewhere, has started to wage “lawfare” against those who recognize their traits and behaviour and who blog, speak, or write about all that.
In addition, there is the fact that we approach the year 2022, which will set the geopolitical agenda for the years up to 2055. “The Great Reset” and “The Great Replacement” are connected to that.

Yes. Strange, nicht wahr, that anyone who glorifies something such as the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001 is called “terror sympathiser” and may well receive police attention, but on Twitter you see Jews only too happy to glorify Jew terrorists of the 1940s (they wanted to bomb London, too), and the police are not interested…

Don’t think so but you never know! After playing “David Copperfield” master Patel seems to have a thing for appropriating traditional “White” characters! ๐ซ

Speaking about the obscene and vile casting of Blacks, Arabs, Asians and all kinds of mongrels in traditionally White roles here is a very good little video (less than 2 minutes long). Sorry about the poor quality of the images.

Although it was done for the wrong reasons. I have to say I enjoyed this. However, there is a serious and unpleasant side to this and is the cowardice of the gutless Brits (in this case) who run the charity who humiliated themselves by “taking the knee”. The most ridiculous thing is that in spite of rubbishing him (again: FOR THE WRONG REASONS) they still pretend to honour his “legacy”.
Ironically, the so-called racist views of Churchill were commonplace in his day, therefore practically all public figures of that era should be “erased”. Let’s face it, those racist statements were, perhaps, the only decent things Winston Churchill ever said. (LOL)

I may be opposed to much of Churchill’s policy-portfolio, but there is no doubt that, when compared to the likes of Boris Johnson, the man was a titan!
That was an age of huge figures, seemingly larger than the pawns on the chessboard: Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Franco. F.D. Roosevelt. Churchill. Even the lesser lights were somehow dramatic: Tito, de Gaulle, Eamonn de Valera.
In the Orient as well: Mao. Hirohito. Gandhi.
The photography of the time played up to that, as seen in the dramatic portraiture of Karsh: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yousuf_Karsh.
I suppose that astrological aspects were connected to that. Pluto in Leo from c.1939-c.1958.

Hello Ian! Thank you for the link to Karsh. What an excellent photographer he was! Regarding Boris, well… anyone is a titan when compared with him! (LOL)
I forgot to ask you: What is the nationality of those musical groups you uploaded? I mean “Ta Ruta” and “Samida”? I think they may be Turkish, but, of course, I am not sure.

Re. Karsh, you should see his WW2 portrait of that absurd poseur Haakon of Norway [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haakon_VII_of_Norway]. Karsh made him look like a bearded king from a Shakespearean play rather than a moustachioed mountebank.
Re. those musical groups. They are Tatars, a Eurasian ethnic group. They are or were in several regions: Volga (Tatarstan), Crimea etc.You were close, though, because Tatar is a Turkic language. I had a girlfriend who was a Volga Tatar (though she spoke mostly Russian and English); when we visited Turkish North Cyprus in 1999, could just about understand and talk to shopkeepers in some mixture of Tatar/Turkish tongues.

Thank you, Ian. I read the biography of Hakkon VII, a despicable character, a wimp and a liberal, like most crowned heads of Europe at that time. The only exception was Leopold III of Belgium. Incidentally, that hypocrite of Hakkon VII, who claimed to love the Norwegian people, never bothered to learn Norwegian! What an insult!

Just a question. I have the impression that you believe in astrology, at a serious level, of course. What is your opinion about Chinese astrology?

Claudius:
“Believe” is not quite the right characterization. I think that there is a great deal of truth in astrology, but it is a complex subject. At one time (1980s), I myself took a serious interest, using ephemeris tables etc to cast natal charts, comparison charts etc.
As to Chinese astrology, I know less of that, but many think it also worthy of interest. BTW, I am a “Fire Monkey” in the basic Chinese system, having been born in 1956.
The one-time Chief of the (British) Secret Intelligence Service (SIS, aka MI6), Maurice Oldfield, took great interest in both systems of astrology, and also in a system called Nine Star Ki.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_Star_Ki;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurice_Oldfield
Oldfield used astrology to assess character. He mixed the occidental and oriental systems. Thus Kim Philby had been a “Capricornian Pig”; I would be a “Virgoan Monkey”, and so on.

Thank you for the information. Sadly I must say that, according to Chinese astrology, “I am a pig”, born in 1959. I wish they chose a nicer animal (LOL). That man Oldfield was very weird, to say the least. What a crazy idea to combine Western and Chinese astrology! According to classical Western astrology, I am a Gemini (born in late May)

Despite his oddities, Oldfield was still more of my idea of what a chief of secret service should be than the more recent careerist/managerial ones (in UK).
You might find this interesting. It goes into his astrological studies too:
