I have speculated previously as to the provenance, in one or two senses, of Jake Wallis Simons. Brought up in the UK, attended a Jewish school in London, went to Israel and was involved in some sort of military or paramilitary service there before temporarily abandoning overt Jewishness while drifting around East Asia, later returning to the UK to attend Oxford University and thereafter scribble for the Daily Mail etc (presently Editor of the Jewish Chronicle).
(Falter also gave “questionable” evidence on oath in at least two, possibly more, trials).
The future sees Europe join with Russia and the Russophone parts of northern and western Asia. Eurasian axis.

Starmer claims (in a speech I saw online) to “have family in Israel“. I presume that that referred to the relatives of his Jewish wife, but I suppose I may be wrong. Either way, my name for the bastard, “Starmer-stein”, suits him very well.
Incidentally, I noticed that Yvette Cooper (Labour Friends of Israel member and now, having proven totally incompetent as Home Secretary, promoted to Foreign Secretary) made a stupid statement about the recent bus attack in Jerusalem, saying how terrible and barbaric it was.
Well, maybe, but I have seen nothing from Yvette Cooper about the Israeli Jews’ barbarism in Gaza over (mainly) the past couple of years, which has left 100,000-200,000 dead and wounded, about a quarter of them children. “Wounded” in Gaza often means children left without arms and legs, and/or terribly scarred, as well as often orphaned.
Incidentally, talking of those “Israelis”…

Once the Israeli Jews had killed a thousand, or two thousand, Gazans in retaliation for the 2023 attack, the civilized world should have firmly told the Israeli Jews that that was enough, do no more. Instead of which, the infiltration of Jews into the governments and msm across Europe, USA etc ensured that Israel got more or less what it wanted. That will continue to be the case so long as wealthy and influential Jewish populations, influencing policy, exist in the USA, UK, France etc.

I am reading a very interesting book, “The Georgians at Home” (1966) by Elizabeth Burton. I found this information that puts into perspective the present, awful state of England.
“Despite the fact that parts of London were, by continental and provincial standards, well lit by lamps (…) it was certainly very unsafe to go out alone or unarmed after dark. Gangs prowled the streets to rob, beat up or even murder their hapless victims” (p. 8).
This was the situation before 1750, when there was no police force. If we jump 270 years ahead, the situation is almost the same, despite having 35.000 cops on duty!(Official figures, March 2025)

I lived intermittently in London 1976 to 1998 and also worked there in 2001, and one could walk around at night; I certainly did, and (unlike some of the gentlemen of the 18th and 19th centuries) never had to use a swordstick in defence.
As you will know, 18thC London had plenty of ruffians,including footpads (violent thieves and robbers who operated on foot, mostly in the new suburbs; they carried knives and clubs) and, further out, highwaymen (often former soldiers and officers who rode horses, sported pistols, and held up coaches on the roads leading away from the capital, particularly the Bath Road travelled much by wealthy Londoners en route westward to Bath). Such travellers often carried large sums in cash and, in the case of the ladies, pearls and jewellery. Englishmen have always liked “girls in pearls” (or am I just attributing my own likes to “the general”?)
Hounslow Heath, west of London and nowadays not far from Heathrow Airport, was a favoured area for robberies of stagecoaches and private coaches.
Of course, it has to be borne in mind that, in those days, there were many offences (at one point about a hundred) which carried the death penalty, so there was no incentive to eschew violence. “Hanged for a penny, hanged for a pound“…

Good morning! Your mention of “highwaymen” reminded me of a great film (as most of them were in those days) by Gainsborough Pictures Ltd, I am referring to The Wicked Lady (1945) with Margaret Lockwood, Patricia Roc and James Mason. I have just found out that there is a remake (1983) with a fairly impressive cast: Faye Dunaway, Denholm Elliot, Sir John Gielgud and Alan Bates.
Incidentally, what a great actor James Mason was and what a voice! My wife described it as “velvety”, and I think it is an excellent description.

BTW, if the crime stats of my country are bad, yours are far worse, with an average of 7.200 crimes per 100.000 people against 5.160 in Argentina. How sad it must be to lead a life like yours… (LOL)

Here is a nice and rare film with James Mason. It was one of his first appearances as a leading man. I think that Ann Todd was miscast in the role of Francesca. They should have cast a much younger woman since Francesca is supposed to be a teenager, and Ann Todd (born in 1907) was 38 when she played Francesca!
