Some may think I am being a callous and unfeeling bastard here when I say I have more sympathy for Palestinian men, women and especially children feeling intimidated and a great deal worse when they are faced by Israeli soldiers/settlers with sub machine guns or under heavy bombardment by the planes of the Israeli Air Force.

Correct me if I am wrong but I remember some cases (in Argentina) where numerous victims of fraud (for example a building company that never finished a tower and refused to refund all the potential buyers who had paid a deposit on their flats) got together as a group and sue the builder.
I do not know if the British legal system allows that, but I would not be surprised if it does. If I remember correctly in the US, it is called ” class action”. I do not see why this cannot be done against Jack Monroe.

The problem in suing a spendthrift “grifter” such as “Jack Monroe” would first of all be whether she would have assets sufficient to compensate the people suing *and* cover costs. Probably not.
Also, there would be a tangled web of legal points around her intent and that of those donating in the first place.
It is one thing suing Volkswagen or a large builder, another to sue a character such as “Jack Monroe”.
BTW, it seems that the number of utter mugs giving her money via Patreon has risen to 515 (from about 386 recently). There really is a diehard mug born every minute, sadly.

Thank you very much for the legal information (I still have to read the link you sent me). I believe that, according to what you told me, this horrible woman will walk away with her ill-gotten money. First of all, as any crook will do, I am sure he has almost nothing in her name that could be taken to compensate her victims. Secondly, as you mentioned, there are many legal loopholes she can exploit. How annoying!
