As previously noted, the hordes of unwanted migrant-invaders (both on “small boats” and otherwise, thousands daily) will collapse our society. When exactly that will happen is uncertain, but we see signs of it all around us now.

I still see people on Twitter/X shouting loudly for “Scottish Independence”, but it is pretty clear that the wish to break away from the UK, i.e. from England, is waning north of the border.
I do not purport to know Scottish politics in detail but, to me, there was always something very odd about the “Indy” noise. For a start, how could Scotland really be “independent” in any meaningful way while (as the SNP and Alba parties wanted) it remained in, or returned to, the EU, maybe NATO too, and would still be under the Western finance-capital blanket (IMF, World Bank and the rest)? What does “independence” really mean, or look like?
The SNP/Alba idea of Independence always seemed to me rather old-fashioned somehow, a bit like Irish Home Rule and “Independence” in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
Then there is the SNP and Alba idea that to be “Scottish” you either have to be born there, or maybe even just live there, like the black/brown immigrants they “welcomed” and continue to encourage. So they are saying that a Pakistani who was born in, or maybe just arrived in, Scotland, is closer to the (real) Scots than an Englishman in London (or even Berwick-upon-Tweed)? Mad.
The SNP is now going to plateau electorally, at best, after the Sturgeon financial scandals etc. Flash in the pan. A handful of Commons seats until 2015, a massive upsurge that year (56 out of 59), then a slight decline until the disaster of 2024 (9 out of 57). In local councils, the SNP has (from 2022) 453 out of 1,223. About a third. Not overly impressive. What will 2027 bring? As for Alba, it failed from the off, really. Even Alex Salmond could not propel it to escape velocity. Maybe his acquittal on sex charges (surely a perverse verdict, and probably obtained via Nat-supporters on the jury) still left stigma. How pathetic are those Scottish idiots who talk about “Independence”! They never had it better than when they were part of the United Kingdom. Now that the ship (the UK) is sinking they are trying to escape but there is nowhere to run, because EVERYTHING is controlled by the forces of Evil (a.k.a JWO)
Incidentally, when I was living in Australia I met a young woman who told me she was a “Scottish nationalist” and when I asked what she meant by that she only could say, “We want to break free from the English supremacy” (or something like that) I later asked her who were, in her opinion, great Scotsmen and she could only mention Sir Walter Scott.

Yes, it would be better if London was not nuked not least because if it were the consequences would reach further afield towards others living nearby such as me in Brentwood, Essex. However, one good thing would a reduction in London’s stabbing rate carried out as it is mainly by ethnics. Indeed, a few Russian nuclear Intercontinental Ballistic Missles launched at London would do more to lessen its ever increasing criminality trends than the useless PC Metropolitan ‘Police’ with their gormless anti free speech/anti freedom of thought, blatantly politicised Stazi/Gestapo like officers will ever do.

An interesting article about punishment in Britain in the 1820s. I consider the treadmill rather cruel as it was pointless, obviously none of the idiots thought that it would be much better to employ the inmates in some useful occupation.

I think we should give serious consideration to reintroducing judicial corporal punishment. Yes, it is a bit brutal and unpleasant but it could be a deterent if administered quickly and it could be used, unlike in Singapore, as a means to punish criminals whilst keeeping people OUT of prisons.
Prisons are expensive and in this country criminals passing through them have a marked tendency to commit further crimes once released so the ideal is to keep people out of them unless they pose a serious risk of harming people in society.
Also, whilst undoubtedly a harsh punishment, judicial caning does at least allow a criminal the opportunity to rehabilitate and reform themselves which capital punishment obviously does not. Therefore, people who wish to see harsher sentencing of criminals but who have religious/moral objections about executions might feel able to support it.

If you are a member of the EU you can’t be an independent, sovereign state by definition. The debate is if you wish to join the EU then you are saying a part of your sovereignty is not going to be used by you and that you are willing to ‘pool’ that sovereignty with the sovereignty of other states for some perceived ‘common good’ that all members of the EU will share in eg the EU’s Customs’ Union which means they have a common trade policy and can negotiate as a whole with countries like China with more leverage than an individual country is likely to have. Many would say that giving-up sovereignty in that respect can be useful.
Despite the severely mishandled Brexit, we are STILL NOT a sovereign, independent state thanks to the undemocratic idiots in the House of Commons signing us up to absurdities like the European Convention of Human Rights which means we can’t control our borders effectively or bring back hanging if that were the majority expressed opinion of the people in a referendum. We are also a member of NATO and that restricts our sovereignty as well.

I remember your post, it is excellent. A few years ago somebody in Britain made a video about the incredible and shameful predominance of Blacks in TV ads; almost all the British couples shown were bi-racial, usually a black man and a white woman.

Luckily, Boots may soon be no more. They are losing money and have closed many branches this year. I do not like to see people losing their jobs but anti-British companies like that should go bankrupt and close down and good riddance to them. Treason like that on the part of Samsung in South Korea or Sony/Toyota/Honda in Japan would not be tolerated in those sensible, moral, succesfull, well run countries and it should not be here either.

A pity, in a sense. I was partly brought up to see Boots and another chain pharmacy, Timothy White’s (now long-gone), as part of the retail landscape. When I was about 13, Timothy White’s was my “go to” place to buy supplements for my chemistry set (chemistry sets are now also gone, banned for the usual “health and safety” reasons). I would buy things such as hydrogen peroxide (quite concentrated and flammable, as I recall).

I should have liked to know what paintings Hitler *bought* in 1941, but which were *stolen* from Hitler’s estate and “returned” to the Netherlands after the war. They, of course, should really have been inherited by Hitler’s sister. They may have included works by Arnold Bocklin, some of whose work Hitler did own (I also quite like Arnold Bocklin, some of his work at least).
Interesting, too, that Time magazine was capable of such literate and hard-hitting reportage in those days.
