Talking point

I might have a problem accepting the exact parallel, but it is worth thinking about.

Saturday quiz

Well, this week another victory over political journalist John Rentoul, who scored 3/10. My score was 7/10. I did not know the answers to questions 2, 3, and 6 (and I admit that my correct answer to question 8 was a semi-guess or educated guess).

Israel is doomed.

I have met relatively few, not so many, Ukrainians. I have met many Russians, of all sorts. I have to say that I much prefer the Russians I have met to the Ukrainians I have met.

Subjective, yes of course. Anecdotal too, were details to be considered. However, consider the cultural riches of Russia: composers, writers, painters, philosophers and other thinkers. Now consider the Ukrainian equivalent. Frankly, there is no comparison.

This is the sort of thing that happens when free speech is attacked via not only misguided or deliberately-totalitarian anti-free speech laws but also via policy determinations that have no basis in law whatever, as with “non-crime hate incidents”. “Hate crime” itself has no real basis in law; even less so has “non-crime hate” etc.

This is akin to, parallel to, what happened during the 2020-2022 “Covid” hysteria— government wishes, or preferences, labelled as “official guidance”, and all of that farrago confused with actual law, and then “enforced” arbitrarily by police woodentops who often had, and have, no idea either as to what is and what is not law, and who also often have an inflated idea of their own powers under law.

Talking about “Covid” and thinking back to the facemask loonies seen everywhere 2-3 years ago (though not so often now the msm propaganda hysteria has died down), I saw a typical one today in a supermarket: a middle-aged woman, very fat, hauling herself along slowly, while wearing her filthy, probably 3-years-old, cloth facemask, and pushing a large shopping trolley full of high-carb, high-fat foodstuffs.

Incidentally…

Much of what Goodwin says is correct. What weakens Goodwin, weakens Farage, weakens Reform UK, is that they are totally in the pocket of the Jew-Zionist-Israel lobby. Same goes for Toby Young, Allison Pearson, the “Free Speech Union” etc.

Moscow travelogue

Very different from when I was not far from there several times in 1993 (in Leninsky Prospekt, at the Academy of Sciences). On my second and shorter trip to Moscow, in 2007, I was in another area of the city.

Whatever may be said about Putin, he has made Moscow a very much better city than it was either in 2007 or (a fortiori) 1993, when it was, palpably, on the edge of chaos.

Sovietism had to fall, after the years of gradual decline and the uselessness of Gorbachev. It fell into near-chaos, it was ravaged and pillaged by finance-capitalist carpetbaggers (mostly Jews) from the West, and also by (mostly Jewish) homegrown predators, the so-called “oligarchs”. Gangsterism too.

Putin put an end to much of that, certainly to the outright gangsterism (in 1993, in the Yeltsin era, I was staying in the same hotel, the Ukraina, as the top-level Chechen gangsters), but there are still huge social inequalities (and, worse yet, inequities) in Russia.

I feel that Russia is still in one of its states of transition. The situation will become clearer later.

I am not a “hanger and flogger”, usually, far from it, but the sentences handed down for quite bad crimes of violence are often risibly lenient. The public are rightly concerned.

Well, Corbyn proves, once again, that he is a bit of a political joke.

At present, Reform UK is between 28% and 34% in the opinion polls, which might result in anything between 200 and 400 MPs at a general election. Corbyn’s (I think as yet unnamed) “real Labour” party has not been much tested in opinion polls but seems to be somewhere between 5% and 10%.

That might result in anything from a couple of MPs (inc. Corbyn himself) and (at peak) half a dozen or so MPs. The likelihood is that Corbyn’s new party will take a small amount of support from Reform, far more from official Labour, and so give Reform maybe (?) a dozen more MPs.

The new and totalitarian Online Harms Act is already resulting in footage of protests being censored. LibLabCon MPs supported its passage.

American version, but applicable more to the UK.

Ha ha. “What goes around comes around”

Jew-Zionist troublemakers have been trying to censor British people for decades. They have been pressuring commercial venues to cancel shows by “antisemitic” and/or anti-Israel speakers, comedians, singers etc for at least half a century in the UK. People such as David Icke, such as the Jewish anti-Zionist jazz musician Gilad Atzmon, and hundreds if not thousands of others.

“Slitherman” and his “Campaign Against Antisemitism” co-conspirators are prominent in that sort of activity, and have been for at least 11 years.

As a matter of fact, the “CAA” was behind the “cancelling” of satirical singer-songwriter Alison Chabloz at the Edinburgh Fringe several years ago, and dishonest/negligent Jew-Zionist solicitor Mark Lewis, and his loudmouthed wife/carer, Mandy Blumenthal (aided and abetted by lying Daily Mail scribbler Sabrina Miller), were behind the attempted shutdown of black comedian Reginald D. Hunter last year (2024), also at the Edinburgh Fringe:

Now, the “CAA” pro-Israel propaganda outfit (engaged in “lawfare”— abuse of English law for pro-Jew-Zionist/Israel purposes) has taken the matter further, actually having the sheer gall to privately prosecute that black comedian on a criminal charge.

They’re Coming to Take Me Away, Ha Ha!

One of the most popular blog posts, published just over 6 years ago.

The links between many Jewish/Zionist individuals, pro-Israel-ism, “antifa” cretins, and mental instability, are very clear.

Very true. I also note that there is a strong Jewish involvement in most of the significant regional flashpoints: USA/NATO/EU-Russia, Ukraine (Kiev regime)-Russia, Israel-Gaza, Israel-Syria, Israel-Yemen.

[“Genocidal Zionists are incandescent with fury at the continued solidarity with Palestine shown by international lawyer and UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese. The latest tactic is to have the Donald Trump administration announce sanctions against her. “Albanese’s campaign of political and economic warfare against the United States and Israel will no longer be tolerated,” the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, posted on X. “We will always stand by our partners in their right to self-defense.” Rubio is one of the most pro-Zionist people ever to be appointed to the post of US Secretary of State and has received over a million dollars from Zionist lobby groups, “making him one of the top recipients of pro-Israeli donations”. The sanctions announcement coincided with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, DC. Rubio and Netanyahu met on the same day that the sanctions were announced, which must suggest very close coordination. My latest: UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese faces US sanctions and smear campaigns by Zionist groups after exposing tech billionaires’ complicity in Israeli genocide in Gaza. https://presstv.ir/Detail/2025/07/26/751884/francesca-albanese-smeared-exposing-tech-billionaires-complicit-gaza-genocide“]

Marco Rubio— just another corrupt Cuban.

I am sure that the USA would not like the Russians doing similar but in, say, Northern Mexico. A provocation.

Yes, get all of our armed services doing something actually beneficial for this country, instead of backing up American policy idiocy and/or supporting the Israeli Jews.

    1. Indeed. I have to say I do disagree with him on the subject of the unworkable in practice idea of assisted SUICIDE/doctor-assisted dying on the National HEALTH Service lunacy but when it comes to Zionism and the Zionist ill-treatment of Palestinians I do agree with him and I hope he continues to speak-out.

He will be following in a long Tory tradition:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisemitism_in_the_British_Conservative_Party

Although some of that is not genuine ‘anti-semitism’ more ‘anti-Zionism’.

As you can see, even under the liberal-left PC globalist Edward Heath the Tories were not totally on the side of Zionism and the Zionist entity.

That tweeter is stupid and unjust. Kit Malthouse is perfectly entited to air his viewpoints on the Israel-Palestine situation and should definitely not be deprived of the Tory whip for doing so.

He is stupid and misinformed if he thinks doing that will improve Tory fortunes in the polls. If anything it will worsen them. The Zionist entity has never been a popular country in Britain and its increasingly unreasonable and downright vicious and cruel actions are making it even less so.

If the Conservative Party is wise it will leave fanatical pro-Zionism to the wretched so-called ‘New’ Labour Party where such idiocy belongs.

Leaving pro-Zionism behind and informing the British electorate that the ever scummy scumbags of the always virulently anti-British Labour Party are basically disgraceful and disgusting puppets of a foreign state which is now committing genocide (mind you, this should be OBVIOUS by now even to dull-witted Labour supporters) whilst putting Britain and the British FIRST before Zionist interests as Starmer’s Labour does not could be worth some votes for the Tories.

There are votes to be had by dropping support for the evil Zionist state and Zionism. Why does the Conservative Party not try it? It must be worth a go and it fits in with traditional Toryism.

  1. Hate crime laws originate from Mrs Thatcher’s government’s stupid decision to ‘chill’ genuine freedom of speech and discussion about the ill effects of the mass immigration we had already then experienced in 1986 with the passing of the Public Order Act of that year. This is where all the subsequent nonsense laws have been developed from and it helped to create a PC climate where people self-censor themselves and censor others.

Then, in 1994, we had ammendments to the Criminal Justice Act made to start the process of giving certain crimes heavier sentences if they were supposedly ‘racially motivated’. Bliar’s wretched governments strengthened them still further.

Fundamentally, making crimes have more severe sentences attached to them if they are ‘racially motivated’ is WRONG. Crime is crime is crime. For whatever reason a crime is committed it is inherently wrong behaviour. These laws unavoidably create a ‘heirarchy of victims’. If an old lady is mugged for her pension then she is a victim of a violent assault and will be suffering from the crime in the same way as a young man/woman attacked for being black/asian/British ect.

They are inherently wrong for another important reason in that judges simply can not be trusted to apply these laws fairly for every victim and every perpetrator especially when we have a judiciary in this country composed of in too many cases liberal-left PC lunatics from ‘nice Tory areas’.

      1. Yes, that is another factor. Many police officers nowadays seem to be not very well trained and have a poor understanding of laws compared to those of the past. As many Chief Constables are PC morons, quite a few ordinary officers take their cue from them and are tempted to misapply laws in an unfair manner in order to win PC brownie points and to be promoted to the higher wage levels of higher positions within forces than police constables.

      2. A lot of police recruits are thick thugs who joined because they like going on arrogant power trips. In London at least and perhaps in other cities as well many LOOK like dim thugs what with their embarrassing attempts at designer stubble/beards and even more so their cheap, badly drawn and in prominent places tattoos. Some of them even have tattoos on the neck or on their fingers! Now, I am sorry, but even Premiership footballers tend to keep their expensive tattoo artists’ tattoos to areas of their bodies that do not make them out to be automatically thick thugs.

  2. Corbyn’s new party might take a few percent off Reform UK seeing as a proportion of its support is a basically a ‘FU to the Political Establishment’ vote and quite a few Reform UK voters are economically centrist or slightly left-leaning. I suspect though that the party that will suffer the most is the Green Party. Theirs is the most leftwing electorate of any party in the opinion polls. The Greens could have avoided having a large part of their electorate being taken away if they had a sensible ultra-tough stance on immigration/asylum as a real Green Party concerned with the British environment should have.

    1. John:
It says a lot about the current political climate in the UK that a joke-party like the Green Party can have (in some opinion polls) 15%, or even 10%. 2% should be its natural ceiling. The whole political milieu in this country is sick, very sick.

As you say, a strong anti-immigration line would change that, but that will never happen. The Green Party is an urban/suburban joke-party.

      Like

      1. It says it all about ‘The Watermelons’ ie Green on the outside and Red on the inside that their greatest support is normally in multicultural, leftwing, inner city areas. If they had an ultra-tough stance on immigration/asylum as they would have if they were a genuine green party concerned with the protection of the British enviroment then they would probably have their best support in the most rural constituencies.

Very few countries have genuine Green parties. Latvia does and because it was genuinely green it was thrown out of the worldwide association of Green parties. Hungary also does as does Germany with their Ecological Democratic Party (ODP) which is a ‘Right-wing’/anti-immigration breakaway party from Die Gruenen (The Greens).

      2. Corbyn, like most globalist hard-lefties, is not too bright. All of the problems he mentions can not be even lessened let alone solved if mass immigration/so-called ‘asylum seeking’ is not ended for good. Britain is not an extremely wealthy country nowadays. The country’s fnances like our land area are not unlimited.

Something has to give. Charity begins AT HOME.

He is dim enough to praise the thuggery/intentional mayhem and the anti-police actions which happened at the Left’s beloved ‘Battle of Cable Street 1936’ yet it was Zionist extremists who caused that violence and who helped to get rid of him as Labour leader because he had the sheer nerve to stick-up for Palestinians and their rights.

Does anyone else think it is utterly PATHETIC that a country of something like 330-345 million people ie the United States of America has a 1% or so percentage of a 2% national minority producing a very strong and influential Zionist Pro Israel Lobby that a large number of American politicians are seemingly unable to move away from/say a firm NO to?

The existence of this lobby as Marco Rubio illustrates so well is a good reason why Britain should keep a certain distance from the USA in foreign policy terms.

It may also have to do with the realization that the “CAA” main nuisances are actual perjurers, some of whom (notably “Slitherman”, its self-important and self-appointed “Director of Investigations and Enforcement”), were (until exposed, several years ago now) sadistic and perverse trolls, targeting and harassing (mainly) women online.

Well, I must say I am not a total expert on American politics (their political set-up involving two houses of Congress, a President who is their equivalent of our PM and Head of State at the same time and the Supreme Court/constitution is rather confusing to me as a Briton) but my impression is that it is the Democrats who have traditionally been most in thrall to the Zionist Pro Israel Lobby fanatics rather than the Republicans because of several factors amongst which are the Democrats have normally received most Jewish votes, they are the most popular party in the most Jewish states ie New York/New Jersey, California, the Democrats are a more liberal and internationalist party, are the party of other minorities such as the blacks, and smaller white groups eg Irish-Americans , are the party of the bigger cities rather than the rural areas where a lot of white Americans live, are the less Christian party (the Republicans are the party of white Evangelical Christians although you can say that is a factor gaining the Republicans the Christian Zionist vote)

Matt Goodwin, the next government if it is a Reform UK one should abolish ALL the Public Order Acts starting with Mrs Thatcher’s anti free speech one of 1986 which those Zionist Pro Israel utter pests at the so-called ‘Board of Deputies of British Jews’ (in reality, a Zionist extremist organisation) helped to enact and ending with the abolition of fat Indian Ghee eating Priti effing Useless’s Public Order Act 2023.

None of these acts have any true, legitimate purpose in a genuinely free and democratic society so they should all be done away with. Let British gentiles be free at last from Zionist oppression and their gentile helpers in the fake Conservative and fake Labour parties.

On that note, I hear that an important person at the UN has made critical remarks about the nonsensical and tyrannical banning of Palestine Action by the use of far too widely drawn anti-terrorism powers. Also, the UN has severely criticised welfare ‘reforms’ for making the lives of disabled people and others intolerable and pushing them into ever greater poverty.

This country has a serious drug abuse problem which is bad not just for the individual drug users and their families but also because habitual drug users often commit violent and other forms of crime. We should employ more police officers as compared to our population we do not have that many. We should pay them more too but only if they smarten themselves up by getting rid of cheap-looking tattoos and, of course, they will have to stop acting like a more PC version of Nazi Germany’s Gestapo, the East German Stazi/a private political militia for the globalist New Labour Mark 2 rabble/fake Conservative Party.

Contrary to popular opinion, the Gestapo, or Secret State Police (which was only a national service from 1936) was not a swaggering uniformed and plainclothed bully-force but a rather careful and silent investigative service, largely staffed by seconded or transferred police detectives from the Kripo or Kriminalpolizei. Many quite large German towns and cities had only a couple or a few Gestapo officers. Most of their information came from either anonymous or overt denunciations, and most of their time was taken up in clearing people wrongly denounced.

However, your “Alfred Dunhill” guess was not correct. Good guess, though.

In fact, the Dunhill brand, as we know it, was developed by the son of the founder of what had been a leather saddlery shop, and in the 1890s, so about 6-7 years later than 1887.
