More “holocaust” fakery exposed
“When Zack Polanski told the heart-rending tale of his ancestors fleeing the Nazis, it earned him applause at last year’s Green Party conference.
But the Holocaust story has raised questions after family history research found his grandparents were all born in Britain long before the Second World War.
On Thursday, Mr Polanski did nothing to clear up the mystery when the Greens declined to answer a request to explain the powerful yet puzzling line in his keynote speech.“

1,000 hryvnia (Kiev-regime funny-money) = about £17 pounds sterling.
Sounds almost reasonable compared to London these days.
Merkel’s legacy.

Probably.
Talking point
“English” (or Japanese, or Chinese, or whatever) is not a mere label, which an individual can stick on themselves and claim to be properly descriptive.
I was born in England of two English parents (and am believed —plausibly but not definitely— to have one German great-grandfather). I am, and have every right to call myself, English.
My wife is English, born of two English parents (one Norwegian grandparent). She was, however, born in the 1950s in the then Tanganyika (now Tanzania), which at the time was a British colony. She came to the UK (to live) aged 14. That does not make her “Tanzanian”, or African!
If someone black or brown is born in the UK, in England, that person is not English or even (passport notwithstanding) British. The person concerned is not English/British but something else, even if born/brought up etc in the UK. Someone such as Kemi Badenoch, who was born in London of 1981 of two Nigerian parents (while they were on a flying visit to make sure that she was born in the UK, which fact —at the time— gave her, under English law, the right to a British passport later in life).
Kemi Badenoch is not English and, in real terms (despite having that “scammed” passport), is not British either.
Kemi Badenoch in fact only came to (or came back to) the UK aged 16-17. She was not even brought up here, and her attitudes are foreign, not that that in itself is determinative.
It would be absurd for me to say “I am Chinese“, even if living in China and having lived there my whole life, even if born there; indeed, even had I a Chinese passport.
Logic alone makes the case, but many of our treacherous scribblers, TV/radio talking heads, and MPs, wilfully refuse to see it.

Late tweets
In a different Europe, the whole mob could just be submachinegunned.
They were born in France. Their parents and even grandparents were born in France. They are not, however, French.
As far as I am concerned, the BBC, if it is to be allowed to survive, must go back to its original Reithian principles: “Inform, Educate, Entertain“, and in that order. In fact, and in view of the multiplicity of other platforms now in existence, the entertainment part might as well be dropped, leaving the BBC with a mission to both inform and entertain. The devil is in the detail, though; at present, the BBC often misinforms, and ill-educates…

I really hate those Russian plans to “freeze” Ukraine. Thanks to the colossal and criminal incompetence of the Russian Army leadership, this horrible war that was supposed to be finished in a month has been going on for nearly 5 years! (4 years and 9 months to be precise)
Thousands of innocent civilians and animals will die due to exposure and hunger.

I too am concerned about the effect on civilians and their companion animals (on both sides).
As to the attacks on energy infrastructure, they will of course cause hardship for people and animals, though at the same time it has to be said that the Kiev regime is attacking similar targets inside Russia and in now-Russian Donetsk Oblast, and would do more of that, had it the means to do so.
War is hell, and this is war now. Russia needs a gamechanger. The painfully slow attritional advances are just not doing the job.
In American language, both sides have “upped the ante”. Kiev-regime missiles have been destroying oil refineries in Russia, so the Russian response has been to destroy electrical power plants, and now to focus on making life in Kiev, especially, harder. I predicted that on the blog a year or two ago.
I agree with you about the military leadership in Russia. Stalin would have been shooting senior officers since 2022.

A wonderful initiative from a group of noble souls in the USA. Talk about 5-star accommodation!
