The overcrowded prisons, the aftermath of the recent protests, and about real criminals released early

There are nuances in the situation, and a few minor objections might be made to that amiable rant, but fundamentally he is right. Even the Guardian admits it: https://www.theguardian.com/society/article/2024/aug/17/fresh-uk-prisons-crisis-as-riots-lead-to-fears-of-overcrowding.

Basically, 1,000+ people have now been arrested following the recent protests and connected minor “riots” (or violent outbreaks) here and there.

Many of those people have been charged, and many of those have been remanded in custody, meaning put into prison until trial (which might be as long as a year or more later, unless fast-tracked). Those who have pleaded guilty so far mostly seem to have been imprisoned anyway.

The fact is that many (probably almost all) of those imprisoned, either pending trial or after having pleaded guilty, are not in any way, even in the lay sense, “dangerous”. Many have no previous convictions, and even those who do (and the sentences of which have been reported after guilty pleas) have convictions mainly for non-violent offences (shoplifting, drugs etc).

What Starmer, Yvette Cooper, and (absurdly) Shabana Mahmood, have done is to release known and active criminals early (many non-white, and after they have completed only 40% of their sentences), in order to free up space which is now being used to incarcerate English people who are, almost all, not active criminals.

Those released early under that scheme will, many of them, re-offend within a fairly short space of time, whereas relatively few of those arrested in the aftermath of the recent protests will re-offend at all, ever, and certainly not in terms of violent disorder. That of course applies even more to those arrested/charged/imprisoned because they merely made comments, justified or otherwise, on social media.

It is beginning to look very much as though Starmer, Yvette Cooper, and the ridiculous Shabana Mahmood (currently posing as “Lord Chancellor” and Secretary of State for Justice) have no idea what they are doing. To me, their over-reaction to the recent minor disorders that took place (by English people— those done by Roma Gypsies in Leeds, and Pakistanis in Birmingham etc, have gone largely unpunished) seems much like that of the Queen of Hearts in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: “Off with their heads!

[“Off with their heads!“]

Incidentally, was there ever a “Lord Chancellor” and Justice Secretary less qualified? A moot point after some in recent years, I concede. However, Shabana Mahmood is an absurd choice for the role. She was only at the practising Bar for a few months, if that (after a year of pupillage), and then worked as a salaried gopher in a firm of solicitors, and only for a couple of years: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shabana_Mahmood#Early_life_and_career.

Shabana Mahmood’s entire legal career only lasted about 3-4 years.

She was probably appointed to placate the Pakistani Muslim element in the UK.

Pakistanis as such are now about 3% of the population; Muslims as a whole (many of which are also Pakistani but born in the UK) comprise 6% of the UK population now. Both anyway are significant voting blocs, and important in general political terms.

Kursk incursion

https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/aug/18/zelenskiy-ukraine-shock-russia-offensive-incursion

Nearly early two weeks after its surprise incursion into Russia, Ukraine finds itself struggling to find a balance between seizing territory across the border in Kursk and losing it at the heart of the eastern front in central Donetsk.

On Friday, Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, claimed advances were being made of up to two miles a day inside Russia, but Moscow’s forces have gained about three miles this month as the Kremlin bets heavily on capturing the hub of Pokrovsk.

In Pokrovsk, meanwhile, officials have stepped up civilian evacuations. Serhiy Dobryak, head of the city military administration, warned that Russian forces had “almost approached” the city and that alarm about its future was growing.

Until a year ago, Pokrovsk was considered safe enough to act as a regional base where journalists and aid workers could stay overnight. Its road and rail connections link the central city of Dnipro with Kramatorsk and Sloviansk. Capturing it would in effect cut the part of Donetsk oblast still in Ukrainian hands in two.

There are persistent rumours that Col Emil Ishkulov, the popular commander of Ukraine’s 80th brigade, now among those involved in the incursion into Kursk, was removed from his position at the end of July because he was opposed to the incursion into Russia – unsure his unit had the strength for the task. At the time, soldiers from the unit issued an unsuccessful public appeal for him to be reinstated.

Sumy, which has a population of about 250,000, has remained busy and lively in the summer heat, though the noise of explosions from Russian glide bombs in the distance stepped up over last week. Its hospitals, though, have been filling up with frontline casualties, and an appeals for blood donations went out to help treat wounded soldiers a week ago. It took an hour for the need to be met.

The city has also received about 4,000 people fleeing the agricultural villages in the area towards the border in the north, many of whom plan to rent apartments.

In the border zone, six miles from the boundary, meanwhile, only a tiny handful of civilians and little functioning infrastructure remain. One shop with smashed windows was still selling groceries, but most places were boarded up. An aid agency, Global Empowerment Mission, supplies nearly 26,000 food rations every month because market supplies are absent, visiting frontline villages every week to distribute to the remaining population.

[Guardian]

I recently examined this situation on the blog. My thoughts were that either Putin might push the incursion forces back using conventional military means, or blast the entire area from the air, destroying the Kiev-regime forces (as well as any unfortunate Russian and Ukrainian villagers still trying to live there).

Another possibility, less likely, would be a massive bombardment of either Kharkov or Kiev, using bombers and missiles.

Now, I have come to think that there is a fourth possibility, one which has roots in Russian and Soviet history.

When, as Tolstoy put it, in War and Peace, “the forces of Western Europe invaded Russia” in 1812 (the forces commanded by Napoleon were not all French, though about two-thirds were), the strategy adopted by the Russian leadership under Kutuzov, once he was appointed, was to withdraw and withdraw out of reach, while carrying out some limited flanking attacks and what we might now term “special operations”.

According to the preferred strategy, St. Petersburg, the capital, was protected both by troops and by distance, and so was never threatened by the Grande Armee. Moscow, however, was abandoned and set on fire.

Napoleon’s retreat from Moscow was famously disastrous, his armies all but destroyed by attritional flank attacks, cold, lack of food, and by disease.

Of the initial half million men, only about 100,000 made it back to France or other countries.

On 24 June 1812 and subsequent days, the initial wave of the multinational Grande Armée crossed the Niemen River, marking the entry from the Duchy of Warsaw into Russia.

Employing extensive forced marches, Napoleon rapidly advanced his army of nearly half a million individuals through Western Russia, encompassing present-day Belarus, in a bid to dismantle the disparate Russian forces led by Barclay de Tolly and Pyotr Bagration totaling approximately 180,000–220,000 soldiers at that juncture.[21][22]

Despite losing half of his men within six weeks due to extreme weather conditions, diseases and scarcity of provisions, Napoleon emerged victorious in the Battle of Smolensk. However, the Russian Army, now commanded by Mikhail Kutuzov, opted for a strategic retreat, employing attrition warfare against Napoleon compelling the invaders to rely on an inadequate supply system, incapable of sustaining their vast army in the field.

[Wikipedia]

In the German invasion and war of 1941-1945, the Wehrmacht advanced to within sight of central Moscow, but were then held and pushed back. Stalin was unwilling to abandon Moscow, the capital, for reasons of morale and administration.

However, elsewhere in European Russia, the Stavka (high command) allowed the Germans to advance and advance into the apparently limitless space (prostor, in the Russian word), as the German supply lines became elongated and eventually unable to supply enough food and ammunition; this came to a head particularly during the battle for Stalingrad.

Reverting to the Kursk situation in 2024, it can be seen that the operation was designed by Zelensky, against the advice of some of his commanders, as a public relations exercise. The suppliers of arms and vast amounts of Western taxpayers’ money had to be shown that the Kiev-regime forces were not beaten. Those forces achieved surprise, and, at first, considerable success.

The area presently held seems to be less than 1,000 sq. km: https://www.ft.com/content/84c60abe-1eab-4440-8511-c13218c7bbe7. That is rather more than twice the size of the Isle of Wight.

The Kiev-regime forces were advancing several miles a day in that Kursk border region, but have probably now almost stopped.

Russian forces far to the south, in the Donbass, are advancing 1-3 miles a day, apparently. The Kiev-regime forces are outmannned and outgunned there, a situation made worse by the use of some experienced Ukrainian troops for the Kursk incursion.

What Putin could do (though it might be politically difficult) would be to do little but just about hold the line in the Kursk region, or even fall back on Kursk city (about 30-40 miles from the present front-line), while pounding the Kiev-regime supply lines and rear echelon areas. The Kiev regime forces do not have the manpower or ammunition etc to advance endlessly. Their tide may already have reached its fullest extent.

In other words, Putin could almost let those Kiev-regime forces in the Kursk region “die on the vine”, in MacArthur’s memorable phrase.

Once those Kiev regime forces are stuck in the Kursk region, or have retreated, or are destroyed, those forces will not be able to be deployed, or re-deployed, on the Donbass front. Even now, it looks as though Russian forces will soon split the Kiev-regime forces there into two. Once that results in further crumbling of the front, startling Russian advances may be seen, either in the next few months or next summer. All of Eastern Ukraine may fall to Russian forces in 2025.

Put him up against a wall.

The Notting Hill Carnival should never have been allowed in the first place, and should be terminated now but will not be, because the Government is afraid of weeks of rioting and looting by blacks if such a step were to be taken.

I attended that carnival once, out of curiosity. In the early or mid 1980s. Absolutely ghastly. Intolerable noise, mostly from horrible amplified “music”. Intolerable crowds. Also, no way of getting out without walking miles. In the end, I walked all the way back to Little Venice.

Another strange Mark Lewis tale

So it seems that the “poor and victimized” Jewish couple, supposedly targeted by an American black comedian, then booed out of an Edinburgh Fringe comedy show by the irritated audience, were none other than Mark Lewis, the egregious self-promoting solicitor, and his wife/partner/carer Mandy Blumenthal. They made a big fuss about emigrating to Israel six years ago. They said that Britain was too “antisemitic” for them to remain here, and so were, in effect, getting out while they could.

A pack of lies. They spend quite a bit of time here, and do not seem to feel any obligation to stay and help Israel in its hour of need.

If those tweets by Reginald D. Hunter are true (accurate), that puts another complexion on the “victimized Jewish couple” story as first published and broadcast recently.

First of all, one has to ask why Lewis and his companion went to such a show in the first place, if the comedian, one Reginald D. Hunter, is known for being “antisemitic” (I have to admit that I had never heard of him at all).

What was their motive even for going there if they were aware of the comedian’s expressed views?

It will be remembered by some that Mandy Blumenthal deliberately tried to book passage, quite many years ago, on a Middle Eastern airline operating out of Heathrow, and made it known that she was Jewish (perhaps using her Israeli passport rather than her UK one). Once refused by the airline, a “typical” fuss was made, both at the airport and in the (((Press))), and the airline quickly stumped up, apparently, quite a few thousand pounds by way of “compensation” (to shut her up).

Is this yet another cynical way to get money, this time out of the comedian, the promoter or the theatre? Was the whole thing contrived in advance, like that airline scam, or not? We do not know, and can only try to draw logical conclusions from what we know.

Incidentally, here is the Times of Israel report about the airline “compensation” scam: https://www.timesofisrael.com/kuwait-air-to-compensate-israeli-for-refusing-to-fly-her-report/. It makes clear that lawyers from “UK Lawyers for Israel” [“UKLFI”] helped Mandy Blumenthal to make her claim, which resulted in her receiving “substantial damages“.

Mark Lewis is —quelle surprise— a member, indeed perhaps even a leading member, of UKLFI, as well as the notorious “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”], both of which have been involved in attacking me over recent years (since 2014): see, eg, https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/ and https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/.

Reading about what the comedian said on stage, it seems that he recognized the “anonymous” Jewish couple of the Press stories, and that that is why he said that he had been “waiting” for Lewis, assuming that it was Lewis, to turn up:

During the furore, Hunter, 55, appeared to double down on his initial joke, telling the couple: “I’ve been waiting for you all summer, where the f*** you been?” [Jewish Chronicle]. https://www.thejc.com/news/uk/israeli-couple-hounded-out-of-reginald-d-hunter-fringe-show-as-he-makes-jokes-about-jews-g6dtt4ip.

Lewis has been in considerable legal trouble recently: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2024/07/26/diary-blog-26-july-2024-including-the-latest-news-about-the-unprofessional-behaviour-of-mark-lewis-lawyer/.

As for his previous history, the blog post below covers, or has links about, Lewis’s previous and rather inglorious activities: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/11/update-re-mark-lewis-lawyer-questions-are-raised/.

See also: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2018/12/20/self-publicizing-supposed-top-lawyer-mark-lewis-full-transcript-of-disciplinary-hearing-judgment-now-released-by-tribunal/.

That’s even before one considers the way in which he treated his ex-wife, one-time low-level TV face, and radio voice (now washed-up and over the hill), Caroline Feraday. I have little time for her anyway, so let’s leave that aside for now (she joined with Lewis in abusing me very unpleasantly on Twitter, about 12 years ago, so she deserved to suffer once she married him, in my view).

As for that Daily Mail scribbler who claims to have “tracked down” the “Jewish couple”, that is none other than Sabrina Miller, who was at the centre of the contrived storm around anti-Zionist academic Dr. David Miller [https://x.com/Tracking_Power] formerly of Bristol University, who was sacked but later won at an employment tribunal: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/02/05/bristol-university-professor-discrimination-anti-zionist/; and https://www.gbnews.com/news/anti-zionist-professor-wins-landmark-case-against-unfair-dismissal-video.

Sabrina Miller, when a vociferous Jewish girl student at Bristol, found time to defend Jewish-lobby-puppet and then-MP, Ian Austin, who had tweeted that bestiality pornography and other similar material should be decriminalized. Now she is a “journalist” with the Daily Mail.

The Mail might not have the best reputation, but it really should draw the line at contrived “stories” such as this Edinburgh Fringe scam.

Looks to me as though the audience recognized Lewis specifically, and were loudly disapproving for that reason.

As for the comedian, the promoter (if any), and the theatre, they should resist any contrived legal claim that “any” ambulance-chaser might make…

More tweets seen

This all makes me feel that “a certain person” was right (about “them”)…

Lewis must be desperate to invent a case…

The Daily Mail should sack Sabrina Miller. Jews always demand sackings for far less default, so what is good for the goose, etc…

As I surmised.

(((Typical)))

[Mandy Blumenthal screeches at the comedian Reginald Hunter, while washed-up Israel fanatic Lewis supports her aggressive rant]

Looks like the pair will not be getting a pay-off this time…

[what horrible “people”, if such is the bon mot]

Looks as if I guessed correctly…

What does Starmer think those imprisoned protesters, tweeters, Facebook posters feel about the UK government of traitors now? Happy? Angry? Determined?

God help John Betjeman, were he still alive. “Come, friendly German bombers, and drop your bombs on Slough“… he would probably be arrested by the “Anti-Terror Command” or other poundshop UK Stasi police, and/or imprisoned for years.

Almost anything now published or spoken by msm scribblers and talking heads can be discounted. If they ever cross the line into uncomfortable and “unapproved” reality, they soon lose those lucrative jobs— and they know it.

All in the Donbass, where Russian forces are now steadily advancing at a rate of up to 3 miles per day.

Russia cannot lose this war and will not lose this war.

That will be amusing to see, if a video is released (I doubt any will be, though). It seems that the audience was only 100-strong. “Jack Monroe”, as a brand, is a busted flush.

Not a situation about which I know much. Seems to be something to do with the “trans” nonsense, which is hard to avoid in the UK these days.

Just saw this, which covers the same situation:

Apparently, that individual was not only convicted in the Crown Court of sex assault on a minor but, on another occasion, attacked a man with a 9-iron (golf club), and was convicted at Crown Court in relation to that.

Lucky in his judges, though— has never been imprisoned, as far as I have read at least.

Apart from anything else, it should be illegal to claim to be a “lawyer” of any kind (or no specific kind) if unqualified. I myself really was a lawyer (barrister of the Bar of England and Wales) until improperly and indeed unlawfully disbarred in 2016, and I still am (as far as I know) “Attorney and Counsellor at Law” at the Bar of the State of New York, not that I care either way. I have not been disbarred in New York, anyway, nor “threatened” with the same.

Despite the foregoing, I have no interest in describing myself (as I still could) as “lawyer“. I do think that the public should be protected from fake lawyers or persons claiming to be lawyers.

[Update, same day: I have now seen the tweets below…

“CILEX” is the organization set up some decades ago to provide a professional structure for legal executives such as solicitors’ clerks, paralegals etc: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chartered_Institute_of_Legal_Executives. Those with the qualification are, however, not “lawyers” as such. In the case in question, though, it seems that the person under examination never had any such qualification anyway, if that second tweet is accurate.]

Suddenly, all over the Northern hemisphere, in developed countries (USA, Canada, EU states), huge wildfires start and, at the same time, a huge propaganda campaign involving the UN and WEF goes into overdrive, blaming “climate change”/”global warming”, and demanding “net zero” to (somehow…) prevent it.

What is the real agenda here?

Does the Dutch Government have any idea what it would be like if even one nuclear missile struck its territory? Apart from almost everything in the Netherlands being blown up or set on fire, and those people not killed being heavily irradiated, the system of dykes and polders would be largely smashed, flooding with seawater 80% of whatever might be left standing.

Don’t escalate the Ukraine war. Stop funding the Jew Zelensky’s corrupt, brutal, and shambolic dictatorship.

The difference is that many young southern Europeans have always (since the 19thC) looked to emigrate for a probably/possibly better life or lifestyle. In the UK, though, such sentiment has only really taken off in recent decades, and especially the past 20 years.

Jesus Christ! These are invaders, and must be treated as such.

Refer to previous comment.

One sees how, after the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance, when dissenting thinkers such as Galileo were accused of heresy, free thinking was thought of as part and parcel of Western civilization— until now.

The attack on free thought, in the contemporary West, started with the Jew-Zionists, and their plan to make examination of modern history, particularly the “holocaust” farrago and mythus and, within that, especially, the whole “gas chambers” fable, something to be treated as if criminal. That repression is now in place in about 20 European states.

Now we see the knock-on consequences: people dissenting from “mainstream” (propaganda) opinion about aspects of “climate change”, or the “Covid” “panicdemic” should be (some say) treated as criminal. The same goes for those who do not agree with mass immigration and the consequent destruction of European life and culture.

At first, I thought that tweeter Professor Cowern might be a parody account, but no! See https://uk.linkedin.com/in/nickcowern. Someone who apparently worked mainly in “modelling”, employed at Harwell and by Philips electronics, his main field(s) being in materials science and semiconductors (i.e. nothing to do with climate), but who now focusses upon and, it seems, obsesses about climate change by reason of human agency.

He was a professor at Newcastle University for only 6 years; now “emeritus”, i.e. retired from academia (aged 70), though was until 2021 running his own (one-man-band) show engaged in modelling climate change etc.

The sort of scientist who flourished under Stalin, denouncing those with contrary opinions.

Yes, thankfully, many people are still willing to stand up for academic and personal freedom of thought and expression.

They are not people with what Professor Cowern calls an (impliedly, improper) “interest” in the same, whereas Professor Cowern was Director of a private “climate change modelling” company set up by himself; NC Tech Insight Ltd.

In fact, it seems that Professor Cowern’s Linked-In profile is not entirely accurate, because, according to Companies House, NC Tech Insight Ltd, having been incorporated in 2014 (with a share capital of £100 and actual capital/assets — in 2018— of £83,000), was dissolved in early 2021. It seems that, as far as can be seen on cursory examination, Professor Cowern’s self-promoted expertise is not much in demand: see https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/08897617.

More of the “professor’s” words of “wisdom”:

I have to wonder what is the personal provenance of the “professor”…

For a supposed scientist who has (as far as I can see) developed nothing new or at least very interesting in the scientific field, the “professor” is extremely dogmatic and scathing. A Lysenko for our times?

In 1940, Lysenko became director of the Institute of Genetics within the USSR‘s Academy of Sciences, and he used his political influence and power to suppress dissenting opinions and discredit, marginalize, and imprison his critics, elevating his anti-Mendelian theories to state-sanctioned doctrine.[4]

Soviet scientists who refused to renounce genetics were dismissed from their posts and left destitute. Hundreds if not thousands of others were imprisoned. Several were sentenced to death as enemies of the state, including the botanist Nikolai Vavilov.[5] Lysenko’s ideas and practices contributed to the famines that killed millions of Soviet people;[5] the adoption of his methods from 1958 in the People’s Republic of China had similarly calamitous results, culminating in the Great Chinese Famine of 1959 to 1962.”[5]

Professor Emeritus Cowern strikes me as a crank, overall, and an unpleasant crank at that. Also, someone with very poor logical skills, looking at his attempts to debate with critics.

Hate speech“? Is “Professor” Cowern (you know who)?

One of the features of Britain over the past few decades has been the over-supply of supposed “professors”. The proliferation of institutions calling themselves “universities” has resulted in an explosion in the numbers of those designated as “professors”. Many are rather poor.

[Update, 7 February 2025: the blog page for 12 August 2023 having had a few hits today, I looked to see what the “Professor” is saying these days. Nothing much. He has performatively left Twitter/X and is now on its new “woke”/joke rival, “Blue Sky Social”. Same obsession, though: https://bsky.app/profile/nickcowern.bsky.social].

Good grief. Everyone should know this.

You can see the way things are going, eg in the car production arena. Firstly, the “Great Reset” demands electric cars because (it is falsely claimed) they are more “green” than existing internal combustion cars. Then existing petrol/diesel cars will be gradually phased out (made more expensive or even illegal). Then, after that, most people will simply be unable to afford to buy or drive electric cars. Car transport will thenceforth largely be available only to the self-styled elites: the wealthy, politicians, bankers etc…

One can see that the transnational conspiracy tries relentlessly to twist or pervert everything in society, and thus it is that, in much of the world, “trans” “women” are given equal designation (or better than) real women, the primitive black cultures and backward “brown” cultures are given equal respect (or better) compared to European/European-derived cultures (which are almost always far more advanced), and disabled athletes, “paralympians”, are (with the best of intentions on the part of many adherents) given equal status with real Olympic athletes, and so on.

Is this terrible fire the result of sabotage? Is it another attempt to “prove” that “global warming” “climate change” via human agency is not a globalist scam?

No wonder you never hear the 1960s, 1950s (and earlier) expostulation “it’s a free country!” any more…

First thoughts

Turned on the TV, to see that The World at War is again being shown. Interesting to the extent that many people who were in quite high positions in WW2 were still alive and able to be interviewed in 1973 when the series started. Not the top leaders, of course, but (mainly on the British and German sides) the secondary or lower commanders and other personalities: Speer, General Warlimont, Stalin’s interpreter etc.

As before, I was struck by how close the Wehrmacht came to capturing Moscow. As I have blogged before, in 1993 my driver made it from the Khimki memorial (the point of furthest advance in 1941) to close to the Kremlin in 15-20 minutes!

tanktrapmemorial

A 1941 German tank would take longer, but even so… (yes, since both 1941 and my first visit in 1993, an IKEA store has appeared there!).

Annoying that, in World at War, Laurence Olivier, doing the voiceover, attempts a kind of faux-Russian pronunciation which is in fact wrong in both Russian and Western usage, eg “Shtalin” for “Stalin”.

Ash Sarkar

Ash Sarkar, who taught briefly at a new university (and now at some institute in the Netherlands, founded by a Dutch Jew), is now seen quite often on TV in the UK as a kind of “licensed Bolshevik”, following her rather silly “I’m literally a communist” outburst on a daytime TV show a couple of years ago. She is 28 today. That fact is “trending” on Twitter.

Ash Sarkar is part of the Novara Media set-up, along with Aaron Bastani.

Here is not the time or place convenient to examine the inanity of being both “communist” and “libertarian” (which is what both of the above claim to be; they also both claim to be “feminist”). To go into the full depths of their political childishness would take too long today. I have blogged about them, en passant, in relation to wider issues:

Neither is here and now the time and place to examine how it is that Anglia Ruskin University had someone whose degree and MA were both in English Literature teaching “Global Politics” for a year. We are talking about someone who defined Communism as “the desire to see the coercive structures of state dismantled, while also having fun“… I wonder what Marx (let alone Lenin, Stalin and Trotsky) would have thought of that!

As said, Ash Sarkar has taken over from Owen Jones the mantle of the “licensed Bolshevik” or “System-approved faux-revolutionary” on the msm in the UK. She appears, despite her “I’m a communist” outburst, on BBC, Sky etc. I wonder whether the System msm would have been so accommodating had someone said “I’m literally a National Socialist”? Or even “social-nationalist”? Of course not. Blackballed at once. So Ash Sarkar fulfils the role of pseudo-revolutionary or radical. The BBC or Sky can then say “look, we’re an open and free mass media outlet. We even have revolutionaries on our shows.” Yes, of course…

The Ash Sarkar trend on Twitter provides yet more evidence of how little Twitter reflects the real political world. I read that Novara Media has grown from having only a few thousand readers in 2015 to hundreds of thousands, on occasion 1 million or more, now.

However, there are 70 million inhabitants of the UK. If you looked only at Twitter, you might imagine that most support a “Novara Media” political position, when in fact Labour as a whole (and there is little organized “socialism” outside Labour) only has the support at present of about 25% of the population, and an Ash Sarkar position some very small proportion of that.

Twitter has expelled most truly dissident personalities (including me, in 2018), mostly at the behest of the organized Jewish lobby. Increasingly, one can almost judge the public mood by seeing what is favoured on Twitter, then reversing it.

Westminster Bridge clapathon for idiots

I blogged about this yesterday. I have to agree with this fellow:

and this one

(though I wish that some people would stop referring to the British police as “the feds”! Did that come from American TV via the blacks in the UK, somehow? How silly it is…)

Katie Hopkins [below] is right:

The UK as North Korea-lite, complete with emotional blackmail (if you don’t clap, and more importantly if you don’t support “lockdown”, or if you doubt the official narrative, you must be a bad person, almost a murderer…)

The Government of fools

It seems that little Matt Hancock and his fellow-clowns may “instruct” anyone over 70 and also anyone under 70 with health problems as common as high blood pressure to stay “indefinitely” in “lockdown”, i.e. under house arrest! For years, or for the rest of their lives!

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8225021/Pressure-cafes-shops-reopen-government-expert-warns-mass-testing-come-first.html

I suggest that little Matt Hancock and this government shut up before they really do cause a (typically British, quiet?) revolution in this compliant nation of serfs.

The only reason that I am not going out wherever I please on a daily basis at present is because I have nowhere much to go anyway! If the proposed restrictions (beyond May) are mandated, however, I may have to go out with the specific intention of “flouting” the UK’s toytown police state “laws”.

Meanwhile…

Below, UK North Korea-lite riot squad goons (“Territorial Support Group” in the Metropolitan Police) getting very agitato at a (Jew) journalist who tried to film an arrest (probably a pointless one):

This is always the problem, in any country, when you give the police too much power. They tend to abuse it and/or treat government preferences as “law”. What the government wants is not law. Look at the sergeant in charge there, in the clip. Shouts out that the journalist “is killing people” by standing outside a park, filming. How bloody stupid can you get?! When will the sergeant call in an air strike?…

This, below, is how the UK Government of Fools runs its toytown “war effort”:

Hubris is A Bad Thing, so I shall not claim that Peter Hitchens is [see below] copying my blog remark of yesterday, which compared the government of fools’ “lockdown” with the actions of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. After all, the parallel is rather obvious.

A thought out of season

A few years ago, a pack of Jews, including some public entertainers, got together and, via the Jew-Zionist fake “charity”, the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”, had the satirical singer-songwriter Alison Chabloz barred from the Edinburgh Fringe, part of the Edinburgh Festival. How they laughed! Well, guess what? Most of those singers, monologuers, comedians etc were hoping to appear and make money, or advance their careers, at the Fringe this year. Oh, no, wait. Coronavirus…

Festival cancelled. Fringe cancelled. As Windsor Davies used to say, “oh dear, what a pity, never mind”.

L’homme qui rire

The same is true of all those barristers who either applauded my getting disbarred (via an allied pack of Jews) in 2016, or who failed to defend me publicly (not one did defend me, in fact). Coronavirus has now shut all of the courts, or almost all (I believe that some magistrates’ courts are still ploughing their way through their pathetic daily lists of minor crimes). Much of the Bar (despite “virtual hearings” here and there) has had its court work frozen. Not all have paperwork to do.

I sincerely hope that those who attacked me or failed to speak up, not so much for me personally, but for freedom of socio-political expression, suffer stinging blows; and well-deserved.

Unfortunately, many barristers have plenty of capital on which to draw, but many do not. I hope that those who opposed me and especially those who tried to kick me when I was down (via Twitter etc) will take a hit. They will anyway, eventually, one way or another, but now (in the pocket) would be a good start.

A tiny glimmer of commonsense (but not much)

Driving to the countryside and walking – where more time is spent doing the latter than the former – is among a list of reasonable excuses for Britons leaving their home during the coronavirus lockdown, according to advice issued to police.” [The Guardian]

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/16/driving-for-exercise-allowed-under-lockdown-rules-police-advised-coronavirus

…yet still no sign that the “authorities” or the police or public understand that, in terms of commonsense, there is nothing wrong in driving around just to get some change of air (with window down, for example). It neither exposes anyone to the virus, nor spreads it (because the virus is only able to move in air, briefly, in droplets of water, as when someone sneezes).

Prison Island UK

So the Government of this country, unlike all others in Europe, at least so far, is suggesting that 10% or 20% of the population is going to have to remain under house arrest for months, maybe years, until a vaccine is found or…when? Until the next Chinese virus is upon us? First thought: tell the Chinese to stop eating bats, rats, pangolins, birds’ nests and all the other disgraceful stuff they eat.

It is not acceptable for a British government to place a substantial minority or indeed majority of the population under house arrest. The only reason that the UK is in a bad position vis a vis this virus is because the Conservative Party governments have been for years cutting to the bone the NHS, care homes, social care in the community, and other relevant areas.

Do we see in Germany, France, Scandinavia etc this panic about shortages of equipment, of staff, of beds, of hospitals? No. Do we see in those other countries officially-approved “clapothons” to “celebrate” the health service? No. Do we see individuals having to (or deciding to) collect funds for the health service via crowdfunding, because that service is underfunded? No.

Well, I drove out on a couple of connected errands, both (I regret) within the new toytown police-state “rules”; two errands, one drive, as the Chinese might put it. My first afternoon drive for weeks.

My impressions: more cars than when the “lockdown” was first imposed, though fewer than when the UK lived what was then called “normal” life. No obvious police presence, though I hear through local sources that the police have been quite active in the wider local area in the (presumably) late evenings, i.e. after the supermarkets and convenience stores shut (mostly 2000 hrs). They have apparently been stopping cars, checking people out etc.

The little village shop a couple of miles away is now operating a “1 out 1 in” system, with only 2-3 people in toto allowed in at any time. I was able to buy some artisan trout pate and trout pate with horseradish, and a couple of bunches of local asparagus, as well as a few Lotto tickets.

It strikes me that “social distancing” is having a quite powerful psychological effect on people, a mental or emotional distancing too. Fewer smiles, a feeling around of wariness. What is really behind all this? As with the mass sacrifice of cattle during the Foot and Mouth emergency, there seems to be at least one hidden agenda.

China

I am coming to the provisonal view that the world as a whole is going to have to treat China as a deadly enemy. I am not happy about that tentative judgment, but I cannot see an alternative, the way things are. We must see things as they are, not as they might be in a more perfect world…
