“The head of paramilitary group Wagner has slammed claims by the Russian defence ministry it had killed 1,500 Ukrainian soldiers in two days as ‘absurd science fiction’.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, whose mercenary troops have spent months fighting in Bakhmut on behalf of the Kremlin, has poured scorn on his country’s establishment after it claimed to have thwarted a second major offensive in Donetsk.
Ukrainian forces have advanced in Novodonetske by up to five or six kilometres, local reports suggest, as officials claim ‘fierce battles are going on’ for control of the settlement.
Western sources have claimed that despite having to face hundreds of miles of entrenched Russian troops, the defences manned by Vladimir Putin’s troops could be ‘more fragile than thought’.“

In the end, Russia has several times —perhaps many times— the number of both reserves and fresh recruits, potentially. It also has, should it choose to use them, tactical and even strategic nuclear weapons.
The Russian economy is strong, despite Western sanctions, whereas Ukraine’s economy is on its back, and the Kiev regime is only functioning because the EU, NATO etc continue to supply arms, ammunition, military training, medical supplies, cash, and food to the Ukrainian forces and civilian population.
“World leaders may have just two years left to tame artificial intelligence before computers become out of control, the Prime Minister’s AI taskforce adviser has warned.
It follows fears that humanity could lose control of super-intelligent systems, or that AI could launch novel cyberattacks or threaten democracy by propagating mass disinformation.
He added that the ‘existential risk’ is ‘what happens once we effectively create a new species – an intelligence that is greater than humans’.
A group of 350 experts last week signed a statement warning that AI needed to be treated as a threat on a par with nuclear weapons or a pandemic.
Asked whether it was possible to stop AI from becoming cleverer than humans, Mr Clifford said: ‘It’s certainly not inevitable. However, the reason people are starting to get worried, even the people making these systems… is that the rate of progress we’ve seen over the last two or three years has been pretty striking.
‘I think what the signers of the letter are saying is we’re on an exponential… these systems are getting more and more capable at an ever increasing rate.
‘And if we don’t start to think now about how to regulate, how to think about safety, then in two years’ time, we’ll be finding that we have systems that are very powerful indeed.’“

Suddenly, everyone is waking up to this, but it may already be too late.

Both sides are blaming the other, but the flood affects far more the southern, Russian-held, bank of the river, which is lower-lying. Also, the flood may deprive the Crimea, Russian-held and where over 90% of the inhabitants are Russian, of water.
On those bases, it seems more likely that the forces of the Kiev regime (with or without NATO help) are responsible, but that cannot be confirmed as yet.

This report (in fact a revised version of an earlier document first issued in May 2022) will shock many Lockdown enthusiasts by saying that closing the country saved as few as 1,700 lives in England and Wales in spring 2020.“

Quite. (and “lockdown” is still, indirectly, killing millions worldwide; that’s even leaving aside the mortal dangers and other side-effects from the “vaccines”).

“A fascinating chart highlights how the world is in the midst of a reproduction crisis — as developed countries fall out of love with having children.
In 2020, the global average fertility rate – the average number of children born to each woman – was 2.3, compared to 4.7 in 1970 — a staggering 51 percent drop over a half-century. Swathes of Europe and North America are recording fewer than a two births per woman average.
Meanwhile, as fertility rates shrink in much of the world, they continues to grow in Africa. Thirty-one of the top 32 countries with the highest fertility rates are on the continent, with Niger in the first spot with a rate of 6.9 children per woman.“
[Daily Mail]

Would be interesting to see whether, in the USA (as in the world as a whole), the non-white and especially the “African” or Negroid population of the USA is breeding faster than the white European-origined population. My guess, or educated guess, would be that that is so.
A serious problem. The proportion of white ethnic Europeans (inc. those of European origin outside Europe) is steadily declining; even now it is only a couple of percent of the world’s population, yet only that small proportion can provide the basis for further human evolution.

I suspect Bakhmut will be the end game in Ukraine. If Russia takes it, which it appears they will, Ukraine will be forced to capitulate and sue for peace with Russia, annexing the East of the country. Both sides are drained and weary. While weapons can be replenished, men cant
The Zelensky cabal in Kiev will rely on their embedded fortification of the capital, and their strategy (such as it is) will be to hunker down there, while calling on NATO to get involved even more directly. I would not rule out the use of “false flag” attacks on Poland, aimed at bringing Poland into the war. If that were to happen and if, then, the Russian side were to respond, both Zelensky and the Polish government would claim that Clause 5 of the NATO Treaty had been thereby triggered, “obliging” all NATO member-states (most importantly the USA, but also UK, Germany, France etc) to enter the war on the Polish (and therefore Kiev-regime) side.
That might trigger a full-scale nuclear war in Europe, and probably beyond.

Actually, the thing about Twitter is how unrepresentative it is. The majority of the Twitterati over the past decade or so have been saying that Labour would win every UK election (2010, 2015, 2017, 2019), that the British electorate would certainly vote to stay in the EU (Brexit Referendum, 2016), that Trump had no chance in 2016, and that most British people favour mass immigration. Not to mention all the “Covid” “panicdemic”/”scamdemic” nonsense (including the face mask nonsense).
Ukraine
Now we see the same unthinking Twitter reaction re. “Ukraine” (support for the Kiev regime of the Jew Zelensky and his cabal).
I would dare opine that, if Biden can be consigned to history, oblivion, or a care home by 2024/25, the incoming US President, if Republican, will take away Zelensky’s ricebowl. Without US arms, ammunition, and money, the Kiev regime will have to surrender or make peace on Russia’s terms, or fight on briefly with little ammunition and arms resupply.
In short, without U.S. aid, the war will probably almost stop within weeks of the non-resupply, not least because the EU states and others will follow the lead of the USA. Russian forces will then advance almost unopposed to Kiev and across all of Ukraine east of the Dnieper.
The threat of East-West nuclear war will then recede and become again unlikely, as after the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1963 (and the near-accidents of 1983 and —once— in the early 1990s).
I imagine that, if the war finishes, Zelensky will retire to his stolen offshore riches and his USD $40M house in Florida.
I have no idea whether the Republicans will actually win in 2024. I do not know enough about it all, though the demographics seem to be gradually going against the Republicans as the non-white vote increases in proportion. Still, it must be possible for Trump or another to win, and I note many “experts” in polling etc saying that it is now likely. Biden is obviously intermittently demented, and (as I understand it) has not been doing well in the domestic sphere either.
Not that I think that System or semi-System politicians such as Trump and DeSantis are talking about pulling back from support for the Zelensky regime out of pure principle; they just do not want the USA, i.e. the country they and their backers live in and own, to be the subject of a massive Russian nuclear attack. Which might happen, if things keep escalating.

Absolutely right. What I have noticed, over not even the past half-century (I am now 66) but especially the last 10 years, has been how many pseudo-“conservative” TV talking heads etc have signed up to this. Quite a few years ago, the now-defunct BBC TV Daily Politics show had a bearded Austrian “shemale” or drag artiste (not sure which) on the show (I believe it was the Austrian entry for Eurovision that year) and, for days afterwards, all the presenters and guests, led by (of all people) Andrew Neil, were fulsomely praising that person and (by implication) their own, and society’s “tolerant” attitude etc.
Rudolf Steiner never explained in detail what he meant when he said, near the end of his life (d.1925), that the time would come when society would congratulate itself on its goodness and tolerance, but would not see the evil right in front of it. Or words to that effect. I think that we are seeing that now. It goes beyond obvious sex issues of various kinds to matters such as “Covid” restrictions (the fake “caring sharing” stuff disguising a bio-security police state), and other matters as well. The “trans” nonsense is the leader of the pack, though.
I've been saying for some time they are in the process of carrying out a 'controlled demolition' of society. With every passing day this is becoming more and more clear.
— David Morgan 🏴 #StayFree (@david_r_morgan) March 13, 2023
It becomes more obvious daily. “Trans” nonsense, faked biosecurity threats, “15-minute cities” and other (supposedly) “green” policies (designed to restrain free movement and travel by the mass of the population), the whole anti-Russia policy matrix and propaganda (many uneducated people now believe that Ukraine is actually a better and/or more cultured country than Russia!). Etc.
Russia is not a threat to democracy,
Russia is a threat to the New World Order.

Watching the puddle-deep Rachel Johnson simp for her father’s knighthood, as bestowed on him by her brother, is, if nothing else, an hallucinogenic and mind-melting experience.
God, the part-Jew element really comes out in her gestures and facial expressions; as much as with, in fact actually more than, the two fully-Jewish journalists questioning her. That aside, the sheer entitlement of the bitch, not to mention her brother and father.
Apparently, wife-beating Stanley Johnson “deserves” a knighthood because he has spent half a century in (and for much of that time paid by) the Conservative Party, and because he spent 17 equally well-paid years in the European Commission, supposedly dealing with “the environment”.
Personally, I think that all the Johnsons “deserve”, not honours but a good kicking (followed by a trip to, and up against, the wall).
The honours system is now totally ridiculous anyway, but while it exists it is more than irritating to see (e.g.) Stanley Johnson get a knighthood, or Nadine Dorries, that dishonest and stupid creature, get a peerage (as rumoured).
Ah this explains it! I’ve been informed by a good source that Emily Maitlis and Rachel Johnson are mates. It’s all one big club that reinforces one big club. In a healthy country, the Johnsons would never be on any show again but we’re not a healthy country pic.twitter.com/rcjAwXC95Z

That kind of thing fooled millions. I myself recall, when the panic was at its height, and when supermarkets were only allowing people in slowly, 6 feet apart (which itself was a nonsense, because once inside, the distances reduced to a foot or so), the line of glum shoppers would be monitored and supervised by black-clad Handmaid’s Tale “militia”. Some of those jobsworths (at the local Waitrose) even had the words “National Security” emblazoned on the back! I believe that the appropriate Internet phrase would be “ROFL“, or maybe “PMSL“.
In fact, I recall one of those “militia” idiots saying to a pro-lockdown (etc) dork ahead of me in the queue that he had “lost” one of his close family members “to Covid“. As we now know, that almost must have been a lie, or at least a mistake, but the “militiaman” seemed to be genuinely angry that anyone even might question the “Covid” narrative (in that case, though, not me but some earlier-in-line dissident).
Oh well, most security guards are scarcely likely to be anywhere near the top of the IQ range, but it still proves how powerfully the “Covid propaganda worked on the masses.
Reminiscent of those Jews who pretend to be terribly angry and upset about “holocaust” “denial” (investigation and revision of previously-accepted historical narratives) because they “lost family members“. As for the rest, the “sheeple” if you like, well they have moved on, and are now nodding in unison and saying “me too” to other narratives, particularly “Ukraine” (meaning support, or at least “slacktivism” on Twitter, for the regime of the Jew Zelensky and his corrupt, shambolic, and yet dictatorial regime).
You still see the odd loony wearing a facemask. I saw one today in fact. About 90, and shuffling around Waitrose in her filthy disposable mask (probably worn by her for the past 3 years…).

@TalkTV @Iromg just breathtaking the bare face cheek of Yvette Cooper and the Labour Party who let’s face it, started all this, and she stands there and presents all these illegals as children or Afghans who helped us is nonsense and she knows it, she’s a disgrace pic.twitter.com/5pRnS4BAt6
Both true, i.e. it is true that Labour ministers under Blair (notably the Jews, Barbara Roche and Phil Woolas) wanted to flood Britain with immigrants in order, quite specifically (as as leaks proved) to ruin the white Northern European demographic of the UK. However, it is also true that the “Conservative” governments since 2010 have also, in effect, encouraged the migration invasion. Why? See below.
Google “Coudenhove- Kalergi Plan”…
Yvette Cooper is not only a proven expenses cheat and fraudster but also, more importantly, a would-be “woke” dictator and puppet of the Jewish lobby.
Incidentally, I see on Twitter, supporting Labour and Yvette Cooper, one “@Supertanskiii”. Seems to be another “grifter” in the mould of “Jack Monroe” and others.
In the case of “Supertanskiii”, though, she does not even offer ghastly food recipes in return for monies sent to her by mugs. Why do people do that (send money to those who offer not even original or interesting ideas)? For “Supertanskiii”, I suppose that it is just an easy way to make a modest living— just mouth off on Twitter against “the Tories” several times a day. The mugs love that…
She does also offer cod-“analysis”, i.e. pretty much repeating whatever the Labour Party is saying at any given moment. Seems to have about 5-10 different people each day donating small sums to her, maybe about £50 a day in toto, at a guess.
People were eating low-cost, good healthy meals long before she jumped on the poverty bandwagon and, unlike her recipes, they were and still are not only cheap and nutritious, they are tasty as well.

There isn't a passing bandwagon that Jack Monroe has not jumped upon and tried to set fire to.
The rinsed spaghetti hoops.. She also seems to think she "invented" using up what people have left over … and devising shopping lists based around stock items. My Grandma for example was doing that decades before she was even born..
Oh good grief.. Who has fire pits these days..?? Not only that she seems to be advocating the burning of rubbish in gardens.. I hate with a passion bonfires. Not to mention the damage and pollution they always create havoc with my breathing and give me sore throats.
It might be argued that the critics are now “kicking ‘Jack Monroe’ when she is down”, but I think that there are two counter-arguments to be made: first, she still has 479 utter mugs paying her a total of between (about) £1,800 and (about) £20,000 each and every month via Patreon.
Secondly, if the critics keep kicking her, maybe the msm enablers of this fraud (those still promoting her—if any are left) will awaken and thus prevent more naive and innocent victims from being scammed.

Well, I have to say that that is more impressive than any of the bureaucrat-statements I have heard broadcast from the senior Russian Army officers.
If that statement is taken at face value, Prigozhin has more courage than most of the Russian leadership put together.
I wonder whether the Russian Army and/or GRU are stabbing Prigozhin and Wagner Group in the back. If so, at least if using the terms broadly, that would be, in the circumstances, both sabotage and treason.

So much for “free, democratic” Ukraine and its “human rights”. One word out of place, and civilians get arrested by a goon squad. The regime of the Jew Zelensky is a corrupt and tyrannical kleptocracy.
Zelensky sold >17 million hectares of agricultural land to Monsanto, Dupont, Cargill.
Zelensky sold 28% of Ukraine's entire landmass (603,500 km²) to these three US multinational enterprises.
Why have 300,000 young Ukrainian men been slaughtered on behalf of Zelensky?
Those of us that follow this conflict looking past the Western propaganda know that the goal of RF is not to annex but to destroy and demilitarize the AFU. Knowing that a good portion of Artyomovsk defenders most likely were forced to be in this cauldron it's nothing but tragic.
People in the USA, UK, and across mainland Europe are also starting to turn off from the war, especially now that it is obvious that the Zelensky cabal has no intention of negotiating. Not “Russian propaganda”, incidentally; Zelensky and others have admitted it outright.
According to Electoral Calculus, and depending on tactical voting etc, that would give the Labour Party a Commons majority of between 398 and 415. It would leave the Conservative Party with between 20 and 40 seats.

We cannot, today, simply put most of the MPs and fake “peers” up against a wall (as they deserve). The first step to saving this country and getting rid of the broken Britain superimposed on it, is to destroy the two main System parties, and the immediate necessity is to destroy the Conservative Party. Once that happens, and Labour has a huge Commons majority, it will start to do things which will create pushback. Without a fake “Opposition”, the people will perforce turn to a new party, and/or deal with the anarchic mess in other ways.

“At least one in five working-age families in most UK constituencies – including in Liz Truss’s seat – would lose out by hundreds of pounds on average if real-terms benefit cuts go ahead, a study has found.
The scale of the impact of a below-inflation rise on already struggling households and by extension, local shops and businesses, is revealed in a study by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF). It would amount to the biggest-ever real terms cut to benefits in a single year.
The findings will increase pressure on the prime minister to stick to promises made by her predecessor, Boris Johnson, to guarantee benefits would rise next April in line with September inflation – about 10% – rather than by the rise in earnings figure of 6%. This real-terms cut would deliver around £5bn in savings to the Treasury.
Dozens of backbench Tory MPs are understood to be prepared to rebel over real-terms benefits cuts, while a number of cabinet ministers – including Penny Mordaunt and Robert Buckland – have also signalled their opposition.
The JRF analysis shows seven out of 10 MPs represent areas where at least 20% of households are reliant on universal credit and other means-tested benefits. These include 193 Conservative seats, including a number of key marginals where over a third of working-age families would be affected by a cut.
“Politicians should think long and hard about the impact of withholding hundreds of pounds from thousands of families in their constituencies when the basic rate of benefits is already at its lowest in real terms for 40 years and prices are sky-high,” said Katie Schmuecker, JRF’s principal policy adviser
Families in ”red wall” seats in one-time Labour strongholds taken by the Conservatives at the last general election would be particularly badly affected by real-term benefit cuts. They include Blackpool South, where nearly half (46%) of households stand to lose out, Burnley (38%), and Redcar (33%).
The JRF analysis shows that even in the most affluent constituencies at least one in 10 households are on means-tested benefits.

“Labour” is now just a label. In fact, one of Labour’s least impressive MPs, the unpleasant self-publicist Jess Phillips, said a few years ago that it was “just a f****** rose” (a reference to its symbol).
Labour is riding high in the opinion polls now by default, the Conservative Party having all but imploded, but Labour, in itself, is every bit as rubbish as the Conservative Party.

I have seen a few comments on Twitter, mostly from the sort of people who are now quite often in evidence in England, for example from one well-known pro-Labour (Corbyn-Labour, lesbian, and half-caste) activist, to the effect that the death of Queen Elizabeth is of no importance, and that people should focus on energy prices, low pay, inadequate State benefits etc. I disagree.
The death of even one person has meaning, and when the death is that of a truly global figure such as Queen Elizabeth, the State and the society of —in this case— England and Britain is shaken to the core, no matter what else, even of great importance, is happening at or around the same time.
It is not a matter of whether one is a monarchist or not. I myself am not —as such— a monarchist or royalist, and believe that different socio-political arrangements fit national requirements at different times. Neither of my parents was royalist and, in the early 1960s, the royals (mainly the Queen herself, and the Queen Mother), were only glimpsed (by my own family) from afar, both on the TV and at the racecourse (Ascot, Newbury and, occasionally but later, in the early 1970s, Windsor).
All the same, for an Englishman such as myself, born in 1956, only a few years after the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth, her presence, even though experienced mainly on television or in the Press, has been part of the backdrop for my own life, and the lives of others of my generation, whether we like it or not.
As a person usually described as “social nationalist”, though others say some variety of “national socialist”, and even (per the Dowager Lady Birdwood, circa 1975), “national bolshevik“, I cannot but wonder whether all the inhabitants of these islands are affected similarly by this momentous and very recent event.
While I have met blacks (West Indians and a few others) who were both royalist and also had quasi-patriotic feelings about the UK, my impression is that the bulk of the “blacks and browns” (and other such as Chinese) now in the UK have no such feeling or sentiment.
The young Jamaicans, or other West Indies-origined, of the inner cities, the hordes of more recent Chinese immigrants who have flooded the UK (especially though not exclusively in London and the south of England), the Pakistanis and other Muslims, the fake or other “refugees” of various kinds (eg the recent though smallish Ukrainian or supposedly Ukrainian influx) have no sentiment toward either this country or the Monarchy. To them, even those born here, Britain is a place to live in, benefit from, in some cases work in or make money in. A mere geographic space. Most of them have no patriotic feeling, no knowledge of our history, no real connection at all. They are just…here.
I am talking not about politics, or policy, or power, but of
“This royal throne of kings, this scepter’d isle,
This earth of majesty, this seat of Mars,
This other Eden, demi-paradise,
This fortress built by Nature for herself
Against infection and the hand of war,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
Which serves it in the office of a wall
Or as a moat defensive to a house,
Against the envy of less happier lands,–
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England“
There is also an age-demographical point here. The younger English too (and Welsh and Scottish) people around, particularly those aged maybe up to 35, are often emotionally distant not only from the Monarchy, but also from the race and nation.
You see msm vox pop, or Twitter, comments, or appearances on TV quiz shows, from those broadly “young”, let us say 18-30, which are so lacking in basic knowledge of England’s (and the world’s) history etc that those talking might as well have just arrived from Mars.
For many of the “young”, the members of the Royal Family are, as I have blogged in the past, basically denizens of the empty and stupid milieu of supposed “celebrity”, not essentially different from the casts of The Only Way is Essex, Made in Chelsea, or whatever else of a similar nature.
Indeed, with the marriage of “The Harry formerly known as Prince” and “the Royal Mulatta” (Harry and Meghan of that ilk), the two previously acquainted but once very different worlds of British Monarchy and “celebrity culture” have collided, with disastrous results, even so far.
As I have blogged on one or two previous occasions, it is not only the British population that has changed; so have “the royals”.
Whatever one may have thought of the late Queen and Prince Philip, they were traditionally and unmistakeably royal. They could never have been mistaken for “the common people”, not even the most ultra-wealthy “commoners”. They would certainly never have been mistaken for members of the suburban middle classes, or the working class or classes.
It can be seen that that unmistakeable “royality” slid somewhat in the generation of Charles, Anne, Andrew, and Edward. The younger two, Andrew and Edward (born 1960 and 1964), in particular, might be considered similar, at least in some respects, to their neighbours in suburban or semi-rural Surrey or Berkshire. Think of Andrew and “Fergie”, living in their sprawling villa, the so-called “South York”; Edward wanting to run a theatre company; Edward’s wife carrying on (until it became an embarrassment) with her public relations enterprise.
Of course, there have been many other scandals and, most recently, the scurrilous rumours about the next generation, mostly about Prince William.
While the Andrew/Edward generation could be said to be not far, in terms of lifestyle, from the very wealthy of the Home Counties, the William and Harry generation are not so far in attitude and lifestyle from quite ordinary, albeit very wealthy, commoners of their own age. If “Fergie’s” parents were an Army major and a mother, as “Fergie” has said, “from country gentry with a bit of old money“, Kate Middleton’s parents’ origins are that the father, though from a wealthy background (and later wealthy in his own right, via business), worked as a flight dispatcher, while Kate’s mother had been an air hostess.
Subtle differences but, over three generations making, overall, a big difference.
So now we have King Charles III, whom I regard as a basically well-meaning but also incredibly self-absorbed person who is more “at sea” ideologically and/or intellectually than most people think; perhaps more than he himself thinks.
Regular readers of the blog may recall that I blogged once or twice about how I met with and very briefly (a few minutes) talked with the then Prince Charles in late 1996, when I was invited to a royal reception (about 25-30 people) held at the official Residence (not the Embassy) of the British Ambassador in Almaty, then the capital of Kazakhstan.
The new King is 73, and will be 74 in November.
As for the next generation, I once described Princes William and Harry as “tame thick princelings“, signed up to what people now call a “woke” agenda, and I see no reason, several years on, to change that view.
The late Queen was an anchoring presence, not only in what she did but in what she was.
Without necessarily endorsing the following view, it can be said that Queen Elizabeth personified the idea that a monarch, at best, holds a nation together. Britain’s problem now is that it is rapidly ceasing to actually be a nation. It is more like a geographical space within which reside a number of interpenetrating racial, national, social and economic, and ideological, tribes, many of which dislike, or even despise and hate, each other.

American academia is very sick, largely because of this sort of nonsense. The usual suspects (((them))) are behind much of it, pulling the strings. The black “academics” (usually retailing pseudo-academic nonsense) are, to a great extent, just the puppets.
Unless America can recover its ethnic white European identity, it is doomed. There needs to be a reset of the white/non-white population-proportion in the USA, getting back to the ~90% white America of the 1920s.
Apart from which, there are times when a decent reserve is the right persona, and when nasty and tasteless jeering is not the right persona.
Sad thing is there will be people in this country celebrating this
For me, the main point is that the tasteless minority pretending to celebrate the death of the late Queen (and a few even hoping, on Twitter etc, that that death was painful) are not only celebrating the death of Elizabeth II, but are also —and in fact primarily— making a truly evil attack on the British people, on our history, on our now-disappeared Empire, on our culture, on our (and all European) culture, and on the overall European way of life. That is why they should all be deported, exiled, or eliminated.

As for the tweet immediately below here, its judgment would be more convincing had the Kiev regime not been shelling and rocketing the population of parts of the Donbass for about 8 years…
Here is some of the shelling of #Kharkiv by Russia in real time targeting civilians. There is truly no safety for the people when they are not seen as people but targets.
If Russian forces are seriously pushed back on a consistent basis, and if the outcome of this war is in the balance, we can expect to see a massive escalation of force from the Russian side.

I work 40+ hours a week at slightly over the minimum wage and know that I earned my keep. I slump on my crappy settee and know I have earned that slump from graft. 6/
and even that ended for child 1 6 months ago, even though he was living at home and doing A levels. I don't know my way around the benefits system, so tell me #jackmonroe how can you afford a holiday when you don't have a fucking job? How? Seriously, how?
Anyway, I'm tired and I have to be up for work at 6, catching the bus at 7, back home 12 hours later. Graft. @BootstrapCook#jackmonroe needs to grow up. 100+ hour weeks doesn't include being awake. It means work. Earn your living. Stop grifting it.
I thought that it was worth reposting those tweets, which refer to the Twitter storm around “Jack” Monroe, aka “Bootstrap Cook” (mentioned in yesterday’s blog).
I have no particular animus against “Bootstrap Cook”, and I should imagine that many find her recipes and other advice very useful [see https://cookingonabootstrap.com/category/recipes-food/], but it is clear that she herself is not (now) in what most people would regard as poverty.
Was I myself “in poverty” when I returned to London? It certainly seemed so!
Think living in a single room in a flat (provided by a friend of a friend— eventually, and very belatedly, months later, paid for by Housing Benefit). Think living largely off tiny State benefit for 3-4 months (monies also delayed for weeks). Think having to be a little bit “creative” in finding ways to travel around London, and equally “creative” in finding out how to increase supply of food and reading material (mainly books).
Yet only a few years before, I had quite often been paid, as Counsel, £1,000 or more for often quite brief (less than half a day) appearances in the High Court or elsewhere.
Later, living in the former Soviet Union in 1996-97, my home was a kind of large penthouse with a very wide wraparound balcony, I had a former MVD car and driver to ferry me to my office etc, a Rolex Seadweller on my wrist, and I rarely carried less than USD $5,000 on my person.
Incidentally, barristers reading this might sneer at the modesty of those High Court fees (perhaps a tenth or a twentieth of the fees some now get and even back then received), but this was 1993-95, nearly 30 years ago, and I was only just out of pupillage (on-the-job training). Anyway, it seemed good at the time to me.
What those born into wealth usually fail to know, having never experienced it, is how quickly a comfortable lifestyle can disappear, without personal capital or family money as a safety net.
When I was living on pennies —and my wits— in the London of March-June 1998, I often walked past Julie’s restaurant in Notting Hill, a restaurant patronized by film stars and other “celebrities”, and a place which I had previously visited several times, only 2-3 years before, and arriving in a large white Mercedes (a girlfriend’s car).
Maybe 3 years later, in 1998, I would have been unable to buy a coffee in the same restaurant, and I wondered whether those staring out of the windows could perceive somehow just how poor I was (maybe a subjective and resentful thought: after all, the Rolex may have gone, but I was still clad in an Austin Reed overcoat and Dents leather gloves etc).
There is no need for me to say more about that very pinched time in my life. Adolf Hitler had it worse, in the Vienna of 1909-1912. Eventually, my several months of poverty came to an end and then, less than a year after I had returned penniless to London, I was spending time living in a villa in the Caribbean, with a private beach (in effect), though those sometimes pleasant months sadly did not become sybaritic years (though I did spend much of 1999 in and around the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico— several Caribbean islands, and the Gulf Coast of Florida).
I later had more ups and downs, but that is enough for today.
I do not know a great deal in detail about “Jack” Monroe, the Bootstrap Cook, but I would guess that she knows a lot about “precarious” life in the Britain of today. Occasional poverty, occasional plenty, but not much security either way.
Many many people in Britain in 2022 are part of that “precariat”. This has political implications. Labour was the party of the industrial “proletariat”, mainly, a class which is now all but non-existent. “Bootstrap Cook”, leaving aside her personal predilections, is in that sense far more typical of the masses than would be the Soviet-style miner, rail worker, or other member of the organized labour force, insofar as such people still exist in the UK.
If there were a credible social-national movement in the UK, the “Bootstrap Cook” would probably not support it, but the “precariat” in general would, especially as inflation, low pay, and low State benefits all start to bite.

For context, my mother bought me a £40 watch for my 21st birthday. That's normal, though it might be a north/south, pretend working class/real working class divide there.
I cannot imagine owning, or wearing, a £600 watch.
Well, £600 is not a fortune for a watch these days (any of my one-time Rolex Seadwellers would be £10,000-£15,000 in 2022), but I take her point.
I sold my mother's engagement ring for £120 when things were so tight that I couldn't think of anything else to raise money for food. Sorry, let me clarify. I sold my dead mother's engagement ring. The one thing I had left of her.
into my little rant, since her father was largely responsible for the fucktastrophy that I grew up in, and she was one of the blue tick brigade that publicly simped the other day.
I may not have 12k followers, but at least I'm fucking genuine
However I am always baffled by the house sale she had which made £3000. I'm in my mid 30s and I don't think the 2nd hand value of everything I own gets to £3k, and her sale was 10 years ago. She either had a lot of stuff or it was all very expensive stuff.
…on the other hand, Bootstrap Cook is, after all, from Essex, the home of “bling”…
Meanwhile, though the @norfolkchatter1 Twitter account has disappeared, the storm around the Bootstrap Cook has, if anything, intensified, with many Twit-people (including the terminally “woke”) supporting her, but also with many others either criticizing her or demanding to know exactly how much capital or income she really has at her disposal, and asking whether she is exploiting people who donate to her when they really cannot afford to do so.
[Incidentally, I do not know anyone involved in either of the two GoFundMe appeals above; I just happened to see them].
“Covid” “panicdemic”
Looks like reality has started, finally, to break through…
If thousands had been killed, millions more injured, families torn apart, economy & health service wrecked, the moral fabric of society left in tatters and I was the little shit who paid for it all, I probably wouldn’t dare pipe up later to say, “Well that was stupid wasn’t it.”
And it’s not as if they can claim not to have heard us. They very much acknowledged us. They referred to us, labelled us, othered us, chastised us, sacked us, cancelled us, censored us.
Truly tragic. Must have been the heat of global warming, or car exhaust fumes, or competition stress, or too much adrenaline, or smoking a cigarette when he was 15. Certainly not connected with pzifer jabs, because the political & media elite say its not.https://t.co/hPCyFqeznK
Sometimes I wonder what, WHAT, would make the mass of British people wake up to the “panicdemic”, the nonsense measures such as facemask-wearing that were part of the scam, or to the “support Ukraine” propaganda or, as in that tweet, the very real dangers of the “Covid” “vaccines”, but I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that nothing, nothing at all, will awaken the masses. A “victory” by a football team, or whatever absolute shite is on “reality” (unreality) TV that week, and the real and important issues are forgotten again.
Maybe after the nuclear war with Russia that so many have been brainwashed into (as they imagine) wanting to see, the survivors will see their reality more clearly.
A few thoughts about Jamie Wallis, Bridgend elections, and both Conservative and Labour parties
The conviction(s) of Jamie Wallis for driving offences [see https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jul/11/tory-mp-jamie-wallis-banned-driving-failing-stop-crash], possibly when drunk or drugged (though there was no direct forensic scientific evidence of either, Wallis having fled the immediate scene wearing, inter alia, a miniskirt), lead me to more general thoughts than those directly concerning this loonie who has somehow become an MP.
First of all, though, we must examine said loonie.
Wikipedia says nothing about the parentage or family origins of Wallis: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Wallis. All that we know of his early life is that he attended a Roman Catholic school, followed by a comprehensive school at Bridgend (Wales).
Wallis was awarded a degree in chemistry from Oxford, followed by a doctorate in astrobiology from Cardiff University. The usual Oxford chemistry degree follows a 4-year course, not 3 years, and confers a master’s degree (M.Chem.).
Wallis was involved with a number of sleazy and dishonest trading activities both before and during his time as MP.
When Wallis realized that the game was up in various ways, he cashed in on the “trans” aspect, which led to “Boris”-idiot and other MPs “supporting” him, despite the probable falsity of his claims to have been raped, and to have suffered consequent post-traumatic stress disorder etc.
Anything “trans” or LGBTQXYZ seems, these days, to be the last refuge of the scoundrel, triggering an avalanche of virtue-signalling.
Needless to say, an honourable MP would by now have resigned, on several different grounds, but this moneygrubbing Wallis individual has not done so; I doubt that he/she/it will do.
Having said that, I very much doubt that Wallis will remain as MP for very long, even if not deselected.
Turning now to more general thoughts around the case of Wallis, I was just looking at the more recent general election results for Bridgend, which is a large town in South Wales: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridgend.
Bridgend constituency was created in 1983. That year, the Conservative Party won it, but Labour won the seat in the subsequent 8 general elections. Wallis was elected in 2019.
Bridgend has never been a hard-core Labour seat, and some of the more recent elections have been quite close. In 2010 and 2015, Labour won by 6, then 5 points. In 2017 (under Corbyn), Labour won by 11 points, but that was reversed in 2019, when Wallis beat the Labour candidate by nearly 3 points: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bridgend_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2010s.
For me, there are pointers here that go beyond this very sleazy MP, and beyond Bridgend.
Wallis will not be re-elected whatever the label he adopts at the next general election. It may be that Labour will recapture the seat. However, it can be seen that Bridgend’s support for Labour has —with a brief upsurge when Corbyn was newly-adopted as leader— slowly waned over the years.
I think that that is true over large swathes of England and Wales. Voters are turning off from both main System parties, but the Conservative Party roots are now basically stronger in its heartlands than Labour roots now are in its.
The Labour Party is just not capturing the loyalty, or even the casual interest, of most voters.

Rwanda has done its bit for “Conservative” empty rhetoric on migration invasion; it can now depart, like Othello.
I suppose that some tiny version of the Rwanda policy might be kept going as a meaningless talking-point between “refugees welcome” dimwits and the equally dim “Priti and Boris want to stop immigration—yay!” idiots. Priti Patel and “Boris” have no intention of stopping, or even seriously trying to stop either mass immigration generally or the cross-Channel migration-invasion.
Mo Farah
Incidentally, and as I suggested yesterday in response to commentators on the blog, it occurs to me that the “Mo Farah was a trafficked illegal immigrant” story may be just another way of promoting the idea that illegal immigration is not really a problem for the UK (or Europe generally).
You can just hear the idiots saying “well, after all, Mo Farah was an illegal immigrant and look what he has done“. Actually, what has he done? Made a lot of money out of his success in athletics, married an Englishwoman, had several children with her etc: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mo_Farah

Priti Patel
The Israeli agent (at least agent of influence), Priti Patel, who (incredibly) made it to the rank of Cabinet Minister despite being Indian (via East Africa), thick as two short planks, and thoroughly dishonest (as well as no good at her job), has pulled out of the Conservative Party leadership contest. Good riddance.
Same goes for Jew-Zionist business trickster Grant Shapps, who has also given up his doomed bid to head the “Con” Party.
What huge lack of confidence British people now have as a people. Oh, no, we could never have a health service without immigrants, never have a police service, never have a…pizza delivery service…
“Wait a moment!” We (Brits) did manage to invent or discover about 80% of everything, though (and if you include Germany and France, almost 100%); oh, and we did create the largest empire ever known (at peak, between 1918 and 1939, nearly a third of the Earth).
Why did this happen to Western European countries in particular, rather than basically any other major country in the world?
How could you have looked at the world in, say, 1700 and predicted this in advance?
This also came with Christian values which are a memetic layer to make people more cooperative (go look at the bible, it's all about cooperation and selflessness maximization plus some time-tested rules on sexual morality) pic.twitter.com/jBB8Jx0UWB
So what happens when you have a society where people are sort of selected or taught to be maximally cooperative and you take away the membrane around it that excludes outsiders?
Is this a problem though? Does it matter if (Hajnal) Europeans essentially end up extinct? Maybe the world would be a better place because there would be "more diversity"?
Christianity did help to legitimize larger Germanic states (Carl great, Holy Roman empire, Anglo Saxon and Danish realms, etc) but I think the habits/traits of the Germanic tribes played a role. Northern vs Southern Italy may be a good example.
Europe lost both world wars and with its best men, its moral backbone gone for the time being. Any attempt to revive it will be mercilessly crushed by the post WW2 'never again' universalism permeating every institution, so no solution under current political paradigm.
The Tory Party is about to go full-on New Labour, absent the puffing and blowing of the fat turd, Johson's absurd Churchill impersonation. An ethnic Tony Blair clone. Crunch time!

I once, aged about 12, had a copy of the Agatha Christie book with its original title, Ten Little Niggers. That “had to be” changed, some years later, I think in the 1980s, to Ten Little Indians, until even that became contentious; it is now republished as And Then There Were None.
I suppose that the Conservative Party equivalent will be And Then There Was One (Idiot), just as in 2019.
A shocking admission that has received zero media coverage.

I have blogged a few times recently of the survival of the facemask nonsense among the more feeble-minded of our citizens.
Today, I went early to a routine appointment at the local hospital, a small, architecturally-pleasing place, with a very green and treed car park, and a building designed to allow hundreds of birds to live among specially-designed rocks, covering the exterior (and held in by a kind of metal mesh). The birdsong was very loud, almost overwhelming, but beautiful.
I marched in unmasked, and to my surprise was not greeted (as on a previous and recent visit) by a proffered facemask and a prim, “this is a hospital” (Oh, really? I thought that it was a Cuban piano bar…).
At the appointed department, a nervous-looking lady waited, unmasked, and reading a magazine. As I sat down at the other side of the waiting area, she picked up and donned her thick cloth facemask! At that point, the nurse or technician came to the waiting area and called that lady’s name.
As they exited, the patient said (for my ears?) “are masks still compulsory in the hospital?“, to which the nurse said “no, not any more. The policy has been changed.” Shocked silence. The nurse then continued, “but you can wear a mask if you want“, to which the lady quickly replied “ooh, well, I would be glad to wear it if you like“, obviously gagging to be effectively told to continue to wear the mask.
In one small incident there, you see the pathology of the facemask nonsense: the wish to be regulated and controlled, the virtue-signalling, the censorious attitude to facemask non-wearers, and the wish to have them controlled. The pathetic grovelling to authority was patent.
There is a small minority of nutty people to whom the facemask nonsense has given a kind of spurious self-identity. I saw another one a couple of days ago; a cyclist, in the open air, riding along an empty road, while wearing one of those thick black wraparound cloth facemasks seen on Boris-idiot and Starmer.

The real core vote for both of the main System parties is around 25% of that part of the eligible electorate that actually bothers to vote. The aim, for both parties, is to get another bloc of voters, between 10%-20% of that whole, to bring their actual vote to between 35% and 45%, and so probably achieve a Commons majority via FPTP.
Both main System parties now have a further aim— to prevent their core vote from dwindling at a time when the voters either hate them or despise them, as well as seeing them as useless.
The volatility of the electorate should be good news for social nationalism but is not, because there is no credible social-national party. Look, for example, at the candidates for the upcoming Wakefield by-election: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Wakefield_by-election#Other_parties
As for Labour, it is up to those old Blairist, Jewish-lobby, tricks again: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Wakefield_by-election#Labour_Party, but has a good chance of winning the by-election in view of recent events both nationally (Boris-idiot, “Partygate”, continuing mass immigration and migration-invasion, cost of living etc) and locally (the former Conservative Party MP, a Pakistani, is now in prison, having been found guilty of the sexual assault of a teenage boy: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imran_Ahmad_Khan).

It was obvious to me almost from the start (about 2 weeks after the first fear-propaganda appeared) that “Covid” was not the deadly plague it was sold as, but the mass of plebs did not wake up until recently; in fact, many have still not woken up fully.
As for Boris-idiot and his pack, their behaviour makes it clear that they had little or no fear of “the virus”, and rightly so. What makes their behaviour so bad is that they colluded in the “panicdemic” scam and, indeed, threw fuel onto its pyre.
