Diary Blog, 11 March 2023, including thoughts about migration-invasion, loudmouth ignoramus Gary Lineker, System propaganda broadcasting, and possible nuclear war

Saturday quiz

Well, this week I scored the same as political journalist John Rentoul— 7/10. I did not know the answers to questions 4, 5, and 7 (just missed on no. 4).

Strange that Gary Lineker looks rather “non-Aryan”, but I have looked at his Wikipedia entry. No clue there. Still, I wonder whether there is not some —perhaps undocumented— alien element.

Earn well“? The bastard is paid nearly £2,000,000 a year to shoot the breeze about football, a ridiculous emolument possible only because the leech-like BBC makes people pay —on pain, ultimately, of imprisonment— for a so-called “Television Licence” the monies of which go exclusively to the BBC out of hundreds of broadcasters. A completely monstrous, unjust, boondoggle which is a left-over from the 1930s in origin (1950s in general practice). Completely out of date.

Beyond that, real “free speech”, and real “democracy” too, is subverted because there is an “in-group” in broadcasting. If you are part of it, you get paid, annually, £200,000, £500,000, a million pounds, or even more. If, though, you are chucked out of that charmed circle because you and/or your views are dissident in any real sense (as with all social-national or even conservative-nationalist people), you go outside and are then (as Nietzsche put it) “facing the wintry wind“.

That is why, on any really controversial issue, the broadcasting drones (whether news, commentary, sports, comedy, drama, whatever) all spout System propaganda, whether on immigration, migration-invasion, race, Jews, the contrived “holocaust” farrago, “Covid”, the “Covid “vaccines”, their vaccine dangers, “Ukraine”, the “blacks with everything” campaign. You name it.

In short, all the denizens of the System broadcasting milieu know that those big salaries and fees, the expensive houses and cars and holidays, their whole way of life, and popular status, are all dependent on either saying the “right” thing, or at least not saying the “wrong” (not acceptable to System) thing.

More

The wider questions around all of that, though, include the true level of migration-invasion, which goes even beyond the relentless and infuriating small-boat invasion making landfall on the coasts of Kent and Sussex.

The larger migration-invasion contingents do not arrive on small boats but “legally” (superficially), such as via marriage visas, fiance/fiancee visas, work visas, student visas (many, perhaps most, never return home), tourist visas etc.

Indeed, the largest contingent of “invaders” are those arriving simply by being born to non-white or other non-British mothers already in the UK.

I was brought up going to race meetings: mainly Ascot, Newbury, and Windsor, but also Sandown, Kempton and, more rarely, other courses— Brighton, Goodwood, Cheltenham and Hereford; also, point-to-points in Berkshire, Hampshire, and Buckinghamshire.

There have been improvements in horse welfare, particularly in the actual running of races; more needs to be done. In particular, and as that clip showed, racehorses, after their race careers, must be shown proper loyalty and respect, and put out to grass for their remaining days.

How about society stopping the rat-race of mothers having to go out to work from financial necessity, those mothers then being able to spend at least the first, say, 7 years with their children at home? Or 14 years, for that matter (with opportunity to then return to work and/or to new careers, if they want).

Thinking “outside the box”, how about giving the invaders (both sexes) a choice between leaving the UK within a certain number of days (maybe 30 days) with financial help, or facing compulsory sterilization? That at least would safeguard the race-stock.

Just watched that clip. A very stupid and ill-informed discussion. Desalination need not be hugely energy-intensive. I rarely commend the Israelis, but they are now, arguably, the leaders in this, using filters (reverse-osmosis) to purify water: https://edition.cnn.com/2022/08/19/middleeast/israel-water-desalination-climate-cmd-intl/index.html.

At the end of 2013 four plants, with a total capacity of almost 500 million m3/year per year, were operational. All plants use reverse osmosis, utilizing self-generated power.” [Wikipedia].

In fact, Israel now gets 75% of its water from the Mediterranean: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_supply_and_sanitation_in_Israel. If brackish water is included, 85%.

Learn from whomsoever you can.

In the UK, there are a number of issues around water supply and use. First of all, the unnecessary and deliberate increase in population (from immigration and births to immigrants) since the 1980s, and especially from the 1990s.

Secondly, the sheer incompetence of the water companies in various ways, especially in the failure to repair leaking pipes.

Thirdly, in domestic areas (the type of bathroom and kitchen taps used, the rarity of garden water barrels etc). See also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainwater_harvesting.

Fourthly, design issues. In some parts of the world, such as southern Spain, new multi-story buildings have to have rainwater catchment and storage. When I lived for a while in the Caribbean, I saw that most villas (including mine) had large inbuilt water tanks. The water was unsuitable for drinking unless boiled (I had to buy imported mineral water, or UV-filtered Miami tap water, the latter USD $5 per U.S. gallon, for that), but the tank water was OK, from a health viewpoint, for coffee and tea. The tank water never ran out, despite being used for showers etc.

I happened to see the following article as well: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groasis_Waterboxx.

Incidentally, while looking at Wikipedia, I also saw this:

In March 2017, a national survey was published that concluded that there is an extremely high rate of serious iodine deficiency among the Israeli population, and in particular among pregnant women (85%) and school-age children (62%).[59] The researchers mentioned the lack of a national salt iodisation program and the heavy dependence on iodine-depleted desalinated seawater as reasons for this major public health problem.[59] The concerns include a “high risk of maternal and fetal hypothyroidism and impaired neurological development of the fetus”, and the professor leading the study stated that iodine deficiency has lowered the IQ level of Israeli children by four to five points over the past 50 years.[59]

[Wikipedia]

Interesting. Has that had political effects? Also, what is our British excuse (or reason)? I am convinced that the IQ levels of the UK population have also dropped greatly in the past half-century. Even discounting the effect of the vast numbers of blacks and browns, there has surely been a very obvious lowering of intelligence among the native white population.

A couple of years ago

I noticed that the above had a hit or two today. It has, I think, held up well, re-reading it, despite having been left with gaps by Twitter and YouTube censorship.

More thoughts about Lineker, BBC, migration-invasion etc

The “rebellion” by BBC-paid “celebrity” drones wanting to virtue-signal about Lineker gives a clue as to the number of (in lay terms) “traitors” who are pumping out stuff in the msm. They all want or pretend to want more blacks and browns in the UK. If a handful have come out in public on that basis, a thousand times that number are working away undetected in the BBC, Sky, ITV etc.

More tweets

In the UK, the ridiculous Gary Lineker/BBC Twitterstorm, or storm in a teacup, has completely displaced Ukraine from the top of msm news broadcasts. Just as the Kiev regime seems to be losing Bakhmut/Artyomovsk to Russian forces. Is that a co-incidence?

When you think that the “Ukraine” (Kiev regime) side alone has apparently lost 20,000 or 25,000 men there in Bakhmut/Artyomovsk (and the Russians possibly far more), it seems incredible. Or is it?

So the Kiev regime now strikes cities it claims as its own? The Russians have been rebuilding Mariopol/Mariupol.

There was an attack in Moscow too, today. Either a missile or a terrorist-type attack.

On thermonuclear war (with apologies to Herman Kahn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herman_Kahn)

As I have blogged previously, a year or so ago, during the period roughly 1949-1989, i.e. the ~40 years of the Cold War, into which I was born (b.1956), I never, as child or adult, believed that there would be a nuclear war between East and West, though we now know that, quite apart from the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1963, one nearly started by ridiculous accident in 1983: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1983_Soviet_nuclear_false_alarm_incident.

After the death of Sovietism, officially 1991 but in reality about 1989, and during both the Yeltsin and Putin rulerships 1991-2012, there was effective detente between the West and Russia. Storm clouds gathered after that.

Only now, in the past year or so, have I been seriously concerned that there might be a real and almost inevitably nuclear war between NATO (i.e. the USA and its hangers-on) and Russia.

The regional conflict in the Ukraine area, which is now a regional war, sees ever-more escalation by NATO and the West generally. More advanced, and heavier, weapons being shipped to the Kiev regime, along with enormous amounts of non-military aid, and equally-huge amounts of actual money, some of which has certainly been stolen by Kiev-regime officials.

The situation is uncertain, but a full war between NATO and Russia is now by no means unlikely, and all because NATO wants to pressure Russia and then have Putin removed by internal coup, possibly to be followed by the breaking up of the Russian Federation into a number of constituent parts, something that has not been the case since the time of Ivan the Terrible (16thC). Diary Blog, 6 December 2022, with more opinion about “Jack Monroe”

Afternoon music

On this day a year ago

“Jack Monroe”

Those tweets refer to the apparently empty threat by “Jack Monroe”, the “Bootstrap Cook” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Monroe#Legal_actions], to sue Con Party MP Lee Anderson [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Anderson_(British_politician)], which threat was uttered sometime in early/mid May 2022, and widely reported by the Press on 15/16 May 2022.

“Jack Monroe” was going to sue, said the (((occupied))) Press, not only Lee Anderson but also the political commentator Martin Daubney, at least one of whom (Lee Anderson) had implied (indeed expressed) on TV that “Jack Monroe” is a fraud: he actually said “living off the backs of the poor“. I could not have put it better myself.

Well, here we are, nearly 7 months later, and there has been no action launched; nor even any pre-action correspondence sent.

Lee Anderson has already said that he has heard nothing from the woman or her lawyers (if any), despite the Press claims from May 2022, which seem to have been uncritically supportive of the egregious “Bootstrap Cook”.

While, technically, that leaves “Bootstrap Cook” with another 5 months to bring an action, I think that it is reasonable now to opine that there will be no defamation suit by “Jack Monroe” against Lee Anderson.

However, that is not the whole story: “Jack Monroe” asked people in general and her “supporters” in particular to send money to fund the (so far, non-existent) legal action. She implied also that her solicitor would be fanatical Jew-Zionist solicitor (based in Israel) Mark Lewis, about whom I blogged extensively some years ago: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/11/update-re-mark-lewis-lawyer-questions-are-raised/. He himself has not tweeted anything about having been instructed or consulted on the Lee Anderson matter.

Now people are asking about where went the crowdfunded monies raised (assuming that there were some). “Jack Monroe” has not explained. The reasonable assumption, surely, is that she has had at least some monies from that source, but has either retained the monies or simply spent them.

It is a moot point, on those premises, whether “Jack Monroe” has committed a fairly serious criminal offence.

A black woman in Bristol is presently awaiting trial on what seem to be similar facts, involving a crowdfunding appeal for projected lawsuit(s).

The police and/or State regulators should be investigating all of this.

Likewise, as of today, 641 total mugs are sending “Jack Monroe” between £3.50 and £44 a month via the Patreon website, supposedly in return for goods and services never provided.

That’s anything between £2,300 a month and £30,000 a month (gross). “Not a bad little earner“…

“Jack Monroe” has taken money from, inter alia, the “poor” and vulnerable and, when asked to refund monies for non-performance, has refused, or has ignored the requests; on occasion, she has even insulted some of the poor and suffering people concerned.

“Bootstrap Cook” was promoted online by Nigella Lawson, it seems, though “that was then”. Not recently, as far as I know.

(is that last tweeter a so-called “sock account”?)

Why are quite a few other msm types, though —even after the recent intensified storm around her— still promoting this person?

Tweets seen

The strange thing is that mugs such as tweeter “@friendofsnoopy” seem to imagine that they are actually accomplishing something positive in socio-political terms by subsidizing the lifestyle of “Jack Monroe”. Very odd indeed. A psychologist might find the pathology of such pointless virtue-signalling interesting.

I note, also, that “@friendofsnoopy” still has a Twitter profile photo of herself wearing a facemask! The facemask nonsense is so yesterday…

“@friendofsnoopy” says that what “Jack” “does” is key for her. What she means is more like “what ‘Jack’ says she does”… It now turns out that her interaction with the Office of National Statistics and others amounted to nothing but one brief meeting with the ONS, not even noted because entirely unimportant; the same with other organizations. “Jack’s” aim was obviously to have such 5-minute “meetings” in order to be able then to tweet about them for years: the so-called “meetings” were obviously (in my opinion) merely and planned props in what others have called her “grift”.

Anyone can tweet or write “you can save money by buying cheapest pasta from ASDA or ALDI“, let alone something akin to “here’s a way to make a cheap dinner: a tin of chickpeas, a tin of peaches, and some curry powder. Mix, and heat.” Mahashma Gandhi?

Also, this constant “you too can live off a few pence a day” nonsense just reinforces the false idea that State benefits (and private pay) are sufficiently generous, if not too generous.

Meanwhile “Jack Monroe” laughs at the mugs who subsidize her, buys Tiffany ear-rings (£1,000+), by her own admission drank, in recent years, a bottle of whisky a day (she now monetizes even that, by virtue-signalling her supposed year or so of “sobriety”), and is alleged to be, or to have been, a considerable abuser of cocaine (admittedly, I have no evidence as to whether or not that is or was so).

All the same, look at the facts: several thousand pounds, possibly several tens of thousands, via Patreon each and every month, £24,000 (plus legal costs) from her Katie Hopkins libel action award, somewhere around £100,000 from book royalties in the past decade, other donations, paid Press and TV interviews and appearances, deals with ASDA etc to promote their stuff. Large amounts of money, and it has been claimed that “Jack Monroe” now has as much as £200,000 stashed away, yet she still “cosplays” the poverty thing, as if she is living on a few pounds a day.

At root, rent is the fruit of parasitism. People work to pay rent, but the rentier lives parasitically from that rent, i.e. from the work of the rent-payer.

I was once, in the early 1980s, somewhat acquainted with a wealthy property-developer who lived in West Sussex. His wife was a novelist of sorts, and had been published (by a real publisher, not via Amazon self-publishing or the like) several times. This in fact was well before Amazon; her first novel had been published around 1980 or slightly earlier.

Apparently, when her first book was accepted, that lady was asked to the publisher’s office. He congratulated her, and then counted out £600 in cash on his desk as an advance; she never earned any more from it. Not a fortune even 40+ years ago. Her later novels earned her even less. Fortunately, with a wealthy husband, that did not matter so much.

The “@AwfullyMolly” Twitter account is well worth reading.

Panicdemic

Out early in the car today. Listening for a while to Radio 4 Today, I was amused to hear the presenter, in a piece about the ridiculous Michelle Mone, talk about the “Covid panic“. Is the truth at least partly getting through, even to the minds of BBC drones?

If, as American “gun nuts” claim, “the right to bear arms” is the last line of defence for American white people, then why (with tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of Americans legally and/or illegally possessing weapons), is that anti-white hate-broadcaster still not minus a head?

I myself am not, as I have blogged in the past, “anti-gun”, but the fact is that possessing a weapon, whether a firearm or a cold weapon, is not, without more, going to achieve victory for social nationalism.

If anyone is interested, I myself was a member of a “gun club” in the days before Major and Blair used one of only two “spree shooting” massacres in English history (Dunblane; before that, there had been Hungerford) as an excuse to close down most private ownership of firearms. There has been one other such “spree shooting” since then, in Cumbria in 2010.

I belonged until the mid-1980s to the now more or less defunct Kensington Rifle and Pistol Club in West London , which was off the Cromwell Road, and not too far from the Earl’s Court Underground station. I believe that a rump of it still shoots at Bisley in Surrey, where I have not been since I was at school in the early 1970s.

I very much doubt that the rather staid civil servants and others who used the Kensington range, and the bar of the Club, were likely to break the speed limit, let alone any more serious laws (the only flamboyant character there was the TV actor Peter Wyngarde: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Wyngarde; https://www.theguardian.com/culture/tvandradioblog/2018/jan/18/legend-tributes-paid–cult-tv-star-peter-wyngarde).

I have had, also, and in the 1970s and 1980s, some limited experience of various firearms (shotguns, pistols, automatic weapons too) in other parts of the world: Central Southern Africa, Ireland, the USA etc, but have never been fascinated by weapons, and have never made the mistake of imagining that Mao’s dictum that “political power grows out of the barrel of a gun” is 100% right (though it is not 100% wrong either).

Ideology, organization, and discipline must come first in any serious social-national party or movement.

Kennedy was right in principle but what threw his prediction off-course was something that he perhaps did not fully comprehend when young— meaning the Jew-Zionist control over the mass media in the USA and the rest of the “Western” world. TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, publishing (including academic and historical publishing).

Of course, such nominations would have been finalized some months ago, before the avalanche of accusation and evidence re. the “Bootstrap Cook”. I doubt that she will be nominated for any awards in the future.

The facemask nonsense and the rest of the “Covid” “panicdemic” lunacy still has a hold on a small (and mentally-screwed) part of the population.

Is this justice?

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/girl-made-eat-floor-kids-27928360?int_source=nba

Read that newspaper report and tell me that the 12-month (in reality 5-6 month) sentences on both defendants constitute justice. I am by no means a “hanger and flogger”, and disparage unduly lengthy sentences but, were I the sentencing judge, I should have been thinking in terms of years, not months. Maybe 5 years. Also, if available (I am not up to date on the law) a confiscation order to compensate the abuse victim who (also) had £57,000 stolen from him. I wonder how it was that that theft could even have been allowed to happen. Seems that there might be a systemic problem if that can occur.

I accept that one cannot get a full picture from a newspaper report but surely, on any reading, 12 months, meaning a maximum of 6 months in custody, must be seen as unduly lenient, to say the least.

Diary Blog, 17 June 2022, including thoughts about Ukraine and the EU

Afternoon music

I remember that black-and-white Robinson Crusoe from about 1965, when I was 8 years old. A different world.

On this day a year ago

Ukraine and EU

One of the more ludicrous items of news yesterday was to the effect that Ukraine would probably be fast-tracked for EU membership and in the interim, be given some kind of candidate-member status.

Jesus H. Christ! It was not very long ago that people were lamenting the fact that Greece had been allowed to join the EC, forerunner of the EU, in 1981. Many had said at the time that Greece was too backward, and insufficiently stable economically. Those doubts resurfaced in 2001 when Greece joined the Eurozone.

Similar doubts were raised when most of the Eastern European states joined the EU less than twenty years ago.

Indeed, those of my sort of age (65) can recall the wranglings over whether the UK itself could or should join the EEC, as it then was, in 1973.

Now we see that Ukraine, a “failed state” (and failed economy) by most if not all standards, is going to be fast-tracked into the EU despite the fact that

  • Ukraine is actually, if not “legally”, at war with a neighbouring state, Russia, and may soon be in conflict also with Belarus;
  • Ukraine has lost about a fifth of its territory to that neighbouring state and/or separatist rebels;
  • Ukraine is almost a dictatorship, with most opposition parties banned, and leaders of some parties under arrest;
  • Ukraine has just lost the bulk of its heavy industry (which is or was located in the Donbass region or the Sea of Azov littoral);
  • Ukraine cannot export 90% of its agricultural produce;
  • Ukraine is only kept in the “war” because NATO states, and other states, are supplying it with arms, ammunition etc for free;
  • A substantial part of the population has fled beyond Ukrainian borders.

I suppose that what this once again proves is that the EU is primarily not an economic organization but a political project, part of the NWO/ZOG matrix.

Street Cat Bob

I read the (first) book about Street Cat Bob about 7-8 years ago. A very touching story. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Bowen_(author).

I was unaware that Street Cat Bob had died (last year, it seems). I was, therefore, also unaware that a little statue had been commissioned in his honour. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-57855092.

The point made by James Bowen is also valid; that is that people deserve at least a second chance (as Street Cat Bob gave him).

Many people who read my blog may have gleaned that, at times, my life has been spent in fairly comfortable conditions: inter alia, living in a Little Venice villa, a penthouse in the former Soviet Union, a villa with a private beach in the Caribbean, a Cornish country house (presently on sale at £7 million) and, as a child, living mostly in good areas of South-East England and Sydney.

The above, however, is only part of the story. There have been far less comfortable situations. One of those was when I returned from living for a few months in Egypt in early 1998. My last salaried legal contract (in Kazakhstan) had ended not long before I went to Egypt. I ran out of money in London (I have never been very good at “bourgeois” budgeting), and acquired some travel money by selling my watch (a Rolex Seadweller; later I had others but at the time, only one).

On return from Egypt to the UK, promised contracts in various countries fell through one by one. I had really no money at all and, at first, nowhere even to stay.

Even after that was arranged (via Russian friends), the next few months were, to say the least, difficult. I walked a lot and, if I took the Underground, may sometimes have forgotten to pay the fare! Even food was in short supply. Certainly I lost quite a bit of weight!

Often I trudged disconsolately past Julie’s restaurant in Holland Park [https://www.juliesrestaurant.com/; https://www.standard.co.uk/reveller/restaurants/julies-restaurant-reopened-holland-park-london-a4230606.html] in the cold rain, stared at by the patrons behind the windows, seated in warmth and comfort…

My own previous visit there, a couple of years before, had been a bibulous occasion when my then girlfriend, swathed in furs and jewels, had insisted on driving her Mercedes home, (with me as passenger— I had no driving licence then), despite her being (at an educated guess) several times over the drink-drive limit. Terrifying. She nearly turned the very large and heavy car over at least once. Thankfully, at that very late (or early) hour, there was little traffic.

Life can certainly have its ups and downs.

Suffice to say that, though I never had to sleep on park benches or in cardboard boxes in the cold Spring of 1998, those three months with effectively no money were hard going…

Adolf Hitler knew the poorer aspects of pre-WW1 Vienna, and never forgot his experiences there.

People who have never known something of the peaks and troughs of existence are at a disadvantage when it comes to understanding people in higher and lower sections of society.

“Labour” (ZOG) news

German (ZOG) news

The international Jew-Zionist lobby is crowing at the prospect of a 96-y-o German woman being tried and (inevitably soon to be) convicted for having been a typist, at age 18, in a German camp in what is, now, Polish territory or, as the Germans say, “unter polnischer Verwaltung“.

“They” never reach the limits of their desire for “vengeance”, even on someone who was merely a young girl typing in an office.

I was interested to see that comments appended to the (typically pro-Zionist) Daily Mail “report” (propaganda): about 90%, maybe more, of the readers voting were in favour of the persecuted old woman.

So when can we expect 96 y-o American women who were 18-y-o typists at, say, Los Alamos in 1945, to be tried for “facilitating” the attacks at Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Never? Why not?…

…und so weiter…

More afternoon music

Some music I recall from when I lived in Australia aged 10-13 (late 1960s):

Vietnam was a constant; some of the young men in my father’s office had to do tours of duty in Vietnam (by reason of the SEATO Treaty); I recall being introduced to four of them at midnight one hot summer night, on Balmoral Beach (the nearest or easiest beach for my family). In prospect was the likelihood, not very pleasant, that I myself, at age 18 (September 1974), might eventually have to go.

As it happened, though, the war had ended by that time, and my family had anyway returned to the UK by Christmas 1970, so I never did have to track through the jungles of Indo-China.

Another constant of the years 1967-69 in Sydney was the hippie influence (in mainstream and commercialized form). I remember this, from 1967:

Alison has both television and radio in her cell, and is reportedly occupying herself with reading, drawing, painting, listening to the radio and watching Antiques Roadshow on television.

Alison has also been told the good news that, in addition to time spent, to date, in custody (police custody, court custody —including all days, including preliminary hearings spent in court—, and time spent in prison) being taken off her total of actual time to be served, the 4 days she spent in prison (HMP New Hall, in Yorkshire) in 2020, prior to her successful appeal (another defeat for both “Campaign Against Antisemitism” and the suborned police and CPS), will be credited to her, and taken off the time she is presently serving.

In other words, having been sentenced to 18 weeks, Alison will have to serve (unless she gets bail pending appeal) 9 weeks, minus quite a number of days in police, court or other custody, and now minus also those 4 days from 2020.

The upshot is that, even if Alison cannot get bail pending appeal, she would only do a total of about 7 weeks actually in prison. She has already done nearly 2 weeks, so will be out, at latest, by some date in the latter half of May.

The fanatical Jew-Zionists of the “CAA” are hoping that their latest malicious complaint against Alison Chabloz (her next appearance re. that is on 28 April 2021) will result in a heavier sentence yet if any trial results in her conviction. From what little I have seen so far, I am hopeful that that will never be put to the test.

…and why is Alison Chabloz in a top-security prison, having (allegedly) “offended” a tiny proportion (about 50, and possibly only half a dozen) of the 250,000+ Jews in the UK by singing a few satirical songs?

[Update, same day: having received a query from a reader of the blog as to why I, a former barrister, needs to ask such a question, perhaps I should point out that the above question was meant to be read as rhetorical…]

…and that is even on on assumption that, for example, the one single death yesterday was “from Covid”…

This whole panicdemic scare in the UK has become ludicrous. In fact, despite the rabbits wearing facemasks everywhere, even in places where no “rule” (let alone law) mandates that, I do not feel that the fear of early 2020 is still abroad at all. People are just wearing their muzzles because they have been forced to (in shops etc) and also because it has become infra dig not to, rather like going into shops away from the beach wearing only swimming trunks. Not the done thing.

I notice that people stopped doing that “stay 6/8/10 feet away from other shoppers” thing some time ago. The population does not really, seriously, believe that it is in any great peril from “the virus”. Not any more.

In order to maintain whatever is left of its credibility, the Government will only slowly wind down the dictatorial nonsenses of lockdown, facemasks etc. It cannot admit that, in 2020, it made an appallingly bad series of decisions, so it will claim that only those measures have made it possible now to resume semi-normal life.

The “caring sharing” new biosecurity state in action…

Strange. Until the 1990s, as far as I know, most of the drivers were women.

Interesting, though I myself live far from any desert!

I agree with tweeter “@AnnaSvendsen4” as a general principle, though there are honourable exceptions (individuals) within the non-white populations, just as there are dishonourable exceptions within European humanity.

Julian Assange

This is President Trump’s chance —while he still is President— to cut through the tangle by granting Assange pardon.

As to Hitchens’ comment about journalists, how true. There are few real journalists around, these days. The journalistic trade (and Hitchens is right to term it a trade, and not a “profession”, as often seen) has become just a politically-correct, virtue-signalling bunch of “me-too” serfs.

The Bar, despite being traditionally a profession, and not a mere trade, is no better now.

Not one member of the Bar stood up publicly to support me after I was wrongfully disbarred in 2016 (following a conspiracy by a pack of Israel-supporting Jews; see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/). Not one…

The same has been true in the Alison Chabloz case. Few if any “journalists” (or lawyers) stood up for her right to sing satirical songs.

The old saying (Voltaire?) that “I hate what you say but will defend to the death your right to say it” is met, in today’s UK, with incomprehension, closely followed by hostility. Look at the (mostly) virtue-signalling (mostly) idiots on Twitter. Typical in that way.

Cultural Marxism

Pretty good, but fails to point out, explicitly, the Jewish roots of all that.

I was —and remain— pro-Brexit, but as I predicted years ago would happen, Brexit has been criminally and indeed possibly deliberately mishandled, not least by Boris-idiot.

Ha ha! “Double and triple the guard...”
