A mother was left injured in a horrific revenge attack when her lover hired his retired father to help ‘sort her out’ after she refused to have sex with him.

Alex Craig, 36, and his 78-year-old father Francis Craig carried out the attack when Alex dumped Luana Dougherty. Luana’s daughter Carlee, 16, and her boyfriend Finn McBride were also injured.

The court heard [that] Craig snr, a retired builder, arrived at Miss Dougherty’s house on March 19 and went on to threaten Carlee by saying he would kill her as he pulled her hair and threw her to the ground.

Craig jnr then kicked Miss Dougherty, a mother-of-two, twice in her ribs and repeatedly kicked Finn McBride, 16. During the attack, he also threw a bicycle, pool balls, and an electric fan at the teenager.

Miss Dougherty, a community support worker from Cheshire, was left with bruising to her ribs, a cut to her right arm, and a cut to her lip. Carlee suffered a bump to the side of her head and a bloody nose while Finn suffered cuts to his knees, a bite mark under his left arm, and a split lip.

…at Chester Crown Court they admitted affray and were each sentenced to 18 months in jail suspended for 18 months.

[Daily Mirror].

In what world are the above offences suitable for suspended sentences, looking at the deliberate and premeditated assaults, and the injuries? Crazy Britain, 2023.

Of course, routine over-sentencing in other cases is one factor that has led to a shortage of space in the prisons.

There is a sense that this country is not far from “anarchy” or, better put, societal breakdown. The urban jungles are the worst areas, of course.

We are living pretty much on the edge now, to a greater extent than is generally understood.

Incidentally, I have just been reading the memoirs of Gorbachev, which came out in the mid-1990s. He says that, in Stavropol region, southern Russia, of which he was effectively in charge before going to Moscow as a candidate-member of the Politburo in or about 1980 , they had exactly the same problems— petty and not so petty crime, and arguments around sentences, community penalties, and as to whether prison was the right punishment in less serious cases.

This is the kind of treachery taking place in schools.

Well, you live and learn. I should never have thought that Karachi was as green and lush as that; looks like England. Maybe outside the main city, and/or in hills. I do not know. I know that Karachi is the 12th-largest city in the world (20M inhabitants) and that much of it is rather bare and dusty. Obviously not all, though.

PMC Wagner, aka “The Musicians”.

As someone once wrote about the (I think) Conservative, or maybe also Liberal Party MPs, after the First World War, “hard-faced men who had done well out of the War“.

Ah…just pinned down that quotation: Stanley Baldwin, and the correct quotation is, apparently, “A lot of hard-faced men who look as if they had done very well out of the war“, referring to MPs elected in 1918. Baldwin was quoted in the influential 1919 book by J.M. Keynes, The Economic Consequences of the Peace [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Economic_Consequences_of_the_Peace].

Bournemouth

https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/23694543.letter-the-town-centre-looks-like-wasteland-filthy/

After visiting Bournemouth town centre today, I came away feeling shocked and sad to see what has happened to the town since I last visited and felt the need to vent my frustration.

I consider myself a local despite no longer living in the area.

I am 34 and lived in Christchurch for most of my life.

I loved regular day trips or nights out in Bournemouth.

The town was always so vibrant with lots going on, great shops and restaurants and always felt very safe.

I moved up to Scotland five years ago and have just returned to Bournemouth for a visit.

What the hell has happened to this place? There are barely any shops left, with many boarded up.

The town centre looks like a wasteland and is filthy.

A high proportion of people walking around the town centre seem to have a drink or drugs problem.

Quite frankly there is no centre to visit anymore and the issues with drink and drugs make the place have an unpleasant and uncomfortable atmosphere.

I just don’t understand what this council are doing but it genuinely disgusts and saddens me.

Simply having a nice beach and gardens is not enough of an attraction with such a rundown town at its centre.

Growing up I was always so proud to live in such a beautiful place.

Now I couldn’t be happier that I no longer live here and after my experience this week I doubt I will ever return to the area again.

What a shame.

SAM GRIFFITHS

Elgin, Scotland

[extracts from a letter to the Bournemouth Echo newspaper]

Bournemouth is about 17 miles from my present home. I remember, just about, being there (from Berkshire) with my family on occasional days in the early/mid 1960s. My memories were of somewhere safe, white, English, sunny (we visited on odd days in the summer), with clean streets and buildings (mainly hotels and apartment buildings), a beach not too crowded, bright yellow double-decker buses.

I also spent a few days there in the 1980s, as a kind of unofficial add-on to a Soviet dance ensemble (my then girlfriend was interpreting for them); I cannot now recall which dance or ballet group it was, but one of the well-known ones. The hotel was a quite decent 3/4-star place, with an unheated outdoor swimming pool. All the Russians opened their windows and looked out when I jumped in and swam in the cold water at about 8 in the evening, after dark.

I also visited the place another time, also early 1980s, when I and my then girlfriend swam with the ex-wife and children of the poet, Yevtushenko. I blogged about that years ago. The grandmother of those children had a wooden bathing hut on a semi-private beach in a pleasant area of Bournemouth; also a nearby home.

Bournemouth is appalling now. I almost never go there. 20+ years ago, it was still not too bad, though nothing like what it was like in the 1960s anyway. I drove there a few times in 2000.

By 2009, when I had to go there and nearby a few times, the downturn was pretty obvious. Large numbers of foreign persons, mostly non-white. Part of that would be the number of language schools there (genuine or otherwise), and also other higher education institutes attracting foreign students. That is far from being the whole picture, though.

As for drugs, I have never had any connection with them (unless you count the cannabis-smoking bourgeois dropouts etc I knew in the mid-1970s, or the DEA agent to whom I was introduced at the Federal Courthouse in Trenton, New Jersey, in 1990, and who showed me the real evidence in a trial that was going on: a sportsbag filled with vacuum-packed cocaine, the packs looking like supermarket coffee packs, but transparent, containing white powder, packed hard). Worth USD $250,000 wholesale, apparently.

However, Bournemouth is apparently now a drugs hotspot.

Sad. Bournemouth is not alone in becoming a dump. Torquay and many other towns, previously rather nice, are no better.

A “conspiracy theory” that may not be completely impossible, when you look at times, dates, and the behaviour of Trudeau’s mother.

Interestingly, Justin Trudeau was, it is said, a passenger on at least one flight of the aircraft owned by Jeffrey Epstein, the now-deceased Jewish rapist, supposed millionaire/billionaire, and Israeli intelligence asset: see also https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/08/11/the-jew-epstein-and-prince-andrew-the-british-royal-family-has-another-scandal-maybe-its-time-to-just-get-rid-of-them/.

Very true. Worth reading.

The UK’s police are now largely useless. As blogged previously, I am not going to blog prior to trial about my current prosecution for blogging the truth, not in detail anyway, but I am more than irritated (“livid” might cover it) that the policeman (who shall remain anonymous for now) who at present is, it seems, effectively to be the only witness against me at any trial (the date of which is uncertain but, if held, will probably take place in the Autumn or Winter of this year) is also part of, or even possibly the head, of the very “neighbourhood policing team” which was totally useless in preventing the theft of a wheel from my car nearly 5 months ago, or in detecting the perpetrators (despite some evidence having been provided or available to the police).

Instead of doing their proper and rightful job, the police sneak around at the behest of the Zionist element, snooping on Twitter and socio-political blogs, and interfering with free speech.

The Rwanda policy was never going to work on the mass scale. The shambles of a political and judicial establishment just used it as an electoral football. Now, it may never happen at all.

Every day, hundreds of migrant-invaders cross the Channel. Hardly any are being deported, whether to Rwanda or anywhere else. Britain is changing, sliding, deteriorating, and being invaded, before our very eyes. Just look around you.

Indeed, the cross-Channel migration invasion is only a fraction of the full problem, which also involves other kinds of non-white entrant to the UK, and also births to those already here.

Britain has already changed out of all recognition in the past half-century. In another 50 years, there will be nothing worth saving.

Triple Lock

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12244533/Work-Pensions-Secretary-Mel-Stride-reassures-pensioners-triple-lock-stay.html

The state pension triple lock is here to stay – but people may eventually have to wait until the age of 70 to claim it, the Work and Pensions Secretary said yesterday.

In an unusual intervention, Mel Stride moved to reassure pensioners that a commitment to the triple lock will be included in the next Conservative manifesto.

But Mr Stride also suggested younger people may have to work for years longer in order to claim it.

Downing Street committed to honouring the triple lock this week, despite warnings from economists that stubborn inflation could result in a 7 per cent rise in the pension bill.

Mr Stride went further, saying the Conservatives were committed to the triple lock in the long term.”

[Daily Mail]

People over 60 are the Conservative Party mainstay, both in membership and electorate. Lose that bloc, and there will be no Conservative Party to speak of. Rishi Sunak dropped the Triple Lock a couple of years ago, for a year. He will not make that mistake again, not if he wants to stay posing as PM.

Speaking personally, though I myself am (since last year) of State-pensionable age, I am less affected either way, partly because I only get about half of the State Pension maximum (by reason of having spent many years overseas).

Still, that 70-year pension age possibility is absurd. It raises again, the probable need for some kind of Basic Income.

“Lockdowns”

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-12244133/NANA-AKUA-Im-no-lockdown-skeptic-effects-son-mean-wont-compliant-time.html

This morning I smiled as my happy, lively five-year-old son skipped into the school playground, babbling excitedly about presents for his approaching sixth birthday.

Not too long ago it was an altogether different story. From March 2020, the cumulative effect of three oppressive lockdowns over 12 months led to a transformation in my son that was painful to behold.

His attention span, enthusiasm for learning, even his burgeoning vocabulary — they all but collapsed under the isolation and loss of routine that characterised each lockdown

That’s why the declaration this week by the former Health Secretary Matt Hancock that Britain must be prepared for more of the same in future pandemics — but with wider, earlier and more stringent lockdowns — filled me with horror and fury in equal parts.

Horror because as a mother, I was a near helpless witness to the corrosive effects of these restrictions on my son, and anger because history has shown us all too viscerally that, deployed unwisely, lockdowns can be as fatal and damaging as the virus they are meant to suppress.

[Daily Mail]

Instead of little Matt Hancock being punished appropriately for his espousal of the “SAGE” committee rubbish (“lockdowns”, “social distancing”, the asinine “Rule of Six”, the facemask nonsense etc), the System has rewarded him with huge amounts of money via book deal(s), guesting on I’m a Celebrity etc. I should love it were he to be punished.

Hancock will no doubt be applauded by the sort of loonies who came out of the woodwork in 2020/21. They cannot wait for more of all that garbage, together with “15 minute cities” and the rest.

The denizens of the Westminster monkeyhouse fear only one thing, pretty much. Need I spell it out?

More of that wonderful “diversity” to be “celebrated”…

Paddington

I was just indulging my Google Earth streetview addiction (again). This time the Praed Street/Eastbourne Terrace/Bishop’s Bridge Road area of Paddington.

Had I just teleported to Praed Street, I should scarcely have recognized it after even 16 years (the last time I saw it, when I appeared at Central London County Court near Regent’s Park, and stayed at what was then the Edgware Road Hilton at the junction of Edgware Road and Praed Street).

When I lived in Little Venice, very intermittently, from 1976 through to about mid-1990s, Praed Street, especially between St. Mary’s Hospital and Edgware Road, was a rather neglected area. Now it bustles. New buildings, new shops.

The area to the west, by Paddington Station, also very different. The old Great Western Hotel, dusty and neglected, is now another Hilton. A few shops and cafes that I recognized, in the side streets.

Eastbourne Terrace now totally different, with some buildings gutted and awaiting rebuilding, others completely new. The one that used to house John Brown Engineering, which Gorbachev visited in, I think, late 1984, is now gone, as far as I can see. Other buildings are new.

I noticed all the new buildings around Bishop’s Bridge Road, though the one that used to house Red Star Parcels (the parcel arm of the old British Rail) is still there, though evidently refurbished. I used to know a very eccentric person who worked there, one Gaster, who had been sacked from his job at the Foreign Office in 1939 or 1940 and then interned on the Isle of Man as a dissident (for being against the war with the German Reich).

Gaster (I think possibly part-German, another possible reason for his WW2 internment) always reminded me of one of those bureaucrats or politicos in the Soviet sphere of influence, reduced to the ranks and made to work as a forester or parcel operative (as it might be). Wonder what happened to him? Long gone, I should think. ~44 years ago, and he must have been 60 or more then.

I see that the roundabout under the Westway, near to Little Venice, is still recognizable, though, and the lay-by (featured near the end of Withnail and I), is still there.

Idle thoughts…

I remember walking down Edgware Road about 40 years ago with a lady whose office was near Paddington Station. She suddenly let out an expletive, followed by “I’ve lost an ear-ring“. Said ear-ring was an emerald, and set in gold. I think quite old. I suggested that we retrace our steps, though not holding out much hope. We did walk back, eyes on pavements and roadway. We had nearly reached the Circle and District Line station opposite the rail terminal when she suddenly pounced like a bird on something in the gutter. Her emerald ear-ring.

In fact, perseverance like that does, sometimes, pay off. I recall one time when I was with my younger brother at Newbury Races. About 1973. I was maybe 17, he was perhaps 15. Things must have been slacker, or less nanny-state, then; I do not think that anyone ever stopped us from backing a horse.

Anyway, the race was run. My horse lost, and my brother’s also lost, but less badly, having come in second. Still, that was no good, and he threw down his bookmaker’s ticket, a colourful oblong card about five inches by two. We walked away to go back to the stands or paddock. Then there was an announcement— “Stewards’ Inquiry“… Five or ten minutes later, the winning horse had been disqualified, and my brother’s placed 1st. He had won, but had no ticket to prove it. He spent half an hour or more wandering amid thousands of discarded tickets, like a wading bird. Incredibly, he found his ticket amid that multitude, and collected his winnings.

Amazing story.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11638389/Half-universities-peddle-woke-agenda-students.html.

UK universities need a chistka (purge).

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/shepherds-bush-pub-assault-james-stephenson-leg-broken-b1052834.html

Another example of how public services in the UK just do not work any more. The victim of a bad assault, a woman, had to lie under blankets outside a pub for 2 hours, waiting for an ambulance that never turned up. Eventually, she had to take an Uber minicab to hospital.

Adding insult to injury, the police, until pressed, did not bother to gather easily-available cctv evidence.

Finally, the defendant (finally caught after the police had been pressured to actually do their job) was let off with a suspended sentence (albeit with a stiff financial penalty by way of compensation for the victim).

There was reasonable mitigation, yes, but the crime was both violent and unpleasant in itself and, also, the victim was left with continuing —and quite possibly permanent— disabilities and pain caused directly or proximately by the actions of the defendant.

If this continues, UK society will become a jungle.

Jack Monroe

Those who follow the “Jack Monroe” saga have noticed that she never, or at least rarely, admits to having bought expensive items for herself out of the monies she has available to her from several sources; she always either “finds” them, remarkably, or buys them for a song (for a tenth or less of the normal price), or is “given” them by friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, or strangers, or has acquired them via “exchange” for unspecified “services“.

As for her having been “in full time work for the best part of 2 decades“, that seems unlikely, but is a question of definition.

“Two decades” brings us back to early 2003. At that time, “Jack Monroe was 14 years old. She left school at 16 (~2005), working in a chip shop and a Starbucks before joining the fire brigade in Essex in 2007 as a call handler. She left in 2011, and was thereafter, for ~18 months, “on the dole”.

“Jack Monroe” worked for her local newspaper in 2012-2013, and also blogged, after which she got a book deal worth, I read, £25,000, with Penguin: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Monroe.

So there we have 7-8 years of intermittent paid work, not quite the 10+ years she claims.

Since 2013, “Jack Monroe” has been (it seems) mostly or completely self-employed, as scribbler, blogger, TV talking head etc. To what extent that counts as “full-time work” is an open question; if yes, then the total is about 17 years; if not, about 7 or so, as said.

As previously noted, Jack Monroe both claims poverty, and so asks for the public to send her money, but also says sometimes that she was in poverty (while on State benefits for 1-2 years), but not now.

Since about 2013, “Jack Monroe” has been in receipt of monies from a number of sources: TV and radio appearances, Press interviews, about £100,000 royalties from her several books (most still in print, I think), deals with ASDA and other supermarkets, and substantial donations (eg from 634 —at time of writing— very misguided people sending her £3.50-£44 each, monthly, via Patreon),

It is claimed by some on Twitter that “Jack Monroe” is “downsizing” (as she puts it) not because she cannot afford the c.£4,000 a month rent and other expenses of her present home but because she is buying a new but possibly smaller home; some say paying the full price in cash. I have no idea whether that be so.

At what point do the 634 mugs still subsidizing her via Patreon start to think why they are still funnelling cash to this very unreliable “grifter” and fantasist, who has recently been in the Guardian laughing about how, when drunk or drugged, she would buy four large pieces of furniture in a few days “for a laugh” or some such.

Is all that is required, for “Jack Monroe” to receive donations from naive mugs, for her to snarl occasionally on Twitter about “cost of living” or “wicked Tories“? Even if they are (and no argument from me on that), how does that either seriously oppose “Conservative” policies or “help the poor“?

“Jack Monroe” has claimed to have been working on a measure of how “the poor” are disproportionately affected by inflation, something she calls (from one of the Discworld books of Terry Pratchett) the “Vimes Boots Index“, but it seems that that might be just another fantasy; in short, another lie.

An ethnic minority carpetbagger in Government will be protected, as far as possible. Others, English, less connected, poorer, would face sterner measures. I recall a colleague at the Bar, in 2007, telling me about a Devonian fishing captain that he had defended, and who (along with his few crew) had decided to evade tax on profits of fish caught. The man was apparently a heroin addict. They all pleaded guilty, the crew got off with suspended sentences, but the captain received a sentence of, if I recall aright, two years’ imprisonment. The amount was tens of thousands (perhaps about £20,000), not the millions of the Zahawi case.

It often seems that the UK now has effectively no border security. Untermenschen from various countries invade our territory without difficulty, and when “intercepted” (ferried to the UK, or met at the beach), taken to a 3* or 4* hotel, thenceforth battening off the British people for the rest of their lives.

The very best that can be expected of 99% of the migrant-invaders is that they will be totally useless; more likely, most of them are criminal and even murderous.

Johnson has proven time and again his total unfitness for any office. His schoolboy “plans” (fantasies) for garden bridges, bridges over the Irish Sea, artificial islands with Metropolis airports or spaceports on them, “levelling-up” (with not a single policy to do that), have all disappeared in puffs of smoke.

Johnson has proven his sheer inability to do the job of a Prime Minister in terms of actual intellectual capability; he has also proven his craven inability to at least appear to be courageous, refusing to be interviewed by the heavyweights such as Andrew Neil and Jeremy Paxman, hiding in a refrigerator during the 2019 General Election and, more recently, hiding in Kiev and Rwanda as his premiership crashed and burned.

What will be his “legacy”? Either nothing, or the memory of a time when complete fantasy and fabrication ruled at Downing Street, or the prospect of economy and society destroyed by the “panicdemic” “measures”.

That is if we are lucky. If we are unlucky, nuclear war with a country, Russia, that has 100x our nuclear-destructive ability; a war for which there is no reason at all, and which, if it were to happen, would come about for no reason at all other than Idiot’s wish to have supportive headlines after throwing arms and money at the Jew dictator Zelensky.

Dirty democratic politicians” [Adolf Hitler]

I happened to see this menu from the House of Commons:

The MPs almost literally have their snouts in the trough, and at heavily-subsidized prices— at the same time as so many people are going hungry and (once the weather cools, from this coming weekend) cold as well.

The House of Lords offers its members similar if not better fare, also at rock-bottom prices. A friend of mine often dined there, though many years ago, and told me all about it. In those days, roast salmon, with all trimmings, was about £2 or £3, I think.

In fact, it is reminiscent of the old “Kremlyovsky Payok” (“Kremlin ration”), a system of both free and heavily-subsidized food rations originating in the 1920s, and which expanded under Stalin to become a whole system of (some) free food, and special shops with either subsidized or generally unobtainable food and other items, sourced both from within the Soviet Union and from outside. Ground coffee, for example.

The Kremlyovsky payok was the highest level, awarded to members of the Politburo and other very high-ranking persons, but there were more modest yet still worthwhile “rations” (and other items) available to anyone who was a member of the “nomenklatura“, such as GRU officers down to the rank of major.

In Kazakhstan, where I lived in 1996-1997, Army personnel still got a payok of that sort at that time; I recall that my “landlord”, a Russian colonel in the Kazakhstan Army (ex-Soviet Army; I became very friendly with him, his wife, and their youngest child, who all lived not far from me) received a large sack of grain and a lot of tinned goods regularly.

That system extended (in Soviet days) to —in effect— private hospitals, vacation “sanatoria” (hotels with a health and fitness aspect), and access to foreign (and usually better) domestic equipment such as refrigerators, ovens, washing machines etc.

A few extremely valued people (such as Mikhail Sholokhov, the writer of The Quiet Don, aka Quiet Flows the Donhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/And_Quiet_Flows_the_Don; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Sholokhov), and the holder of numerous awards, including 6 awards of the Order of Lenin and 2 awards of Hero of Socialist Labour, were even allowed “open bank accounts”, which meant that they could go to a bank and be given effectively any amount of money they wanted (Soviet roubles only, of course), whenever they liked.

Continuing facemask nonsense

Funny. Pathetic.

Biden has at least the excuse that he is, or is said to be, somewhat demented.

I went to Waitrose yesterday evening (it being the only actual supermarket for miles), and noticed a woman walking to her car in the car park— alone, in the sun and a slight breeze, yet masked.

For some people, wearing one of those stupid masks or muzzles has become a kind of “I can prove that I really exist” virtue-signal, or a flag of allegiance to some sort of fake communitarian “clap for the NHS” club.

Those cranks must have hated it when shops were allowed to reopen without subjecting their customers (that’s customers, not prisoners) to the whole soulless and pointless rigmarole of “social distancing”, the facemask nonsense —“would you pull up your mask please!“— and the rest of it all, monitored by shop staff suddenly given petty power (but who now have to return to stacking shelves and helping the shoppers rather than corralling them).

The loonies or semi-loonies still wearing their (completely useless) facemasks remind me of the Japanese soldiers on Pacific islands, still fighting the war in 1980, not having understood that it finished in 1945, and then realizing (?) that they had just been wasting their time doing something rather stupid.

Putin had no real choice, but his decision must have assumed, evidently mistakenly, that Russian military intelligence (the GRU) and the Russian Army (both on the ground and in the General Staff or, to use an old term, the Stavka) was up to the job, competent. Not so, it seems to have been proven.

This is a potentially existential crisis for Russia as anything purporting to be an independent state, let alone a regional power (the “superpower” label having been lost except in terms of nuclear weapons).

Russia cannot lose this war. By that, I mean that Putin cannot afford to lose this war.

The Russian side is now proposing peace talks. The Ukrainian or Kiev-regime side has refused, saying that only the “return” of Crimea (historically, usually part of Russia rather than Ukraine) and the Donbass etc can be the precondition for talks.

Russia will never accept that Crimea, especially, and its almost entirely Russian population, be given , or “returned”, to the Kiev government.

The present situation is worrying even for those who live far from Ukraine. There is a mob, of the malicious and/or idiotic, baying for Russian blood, and for war with Russia, in effect. I wonder what a Venn diagram would look like if it contained that Twit-mob and also the similar mobs who wanted war with Iraq and then Afghanistan?

If the present limited “Ukrainian” counter-offensive in the south succeeds, and the Kherson pocket or bulge is eliminated, Russia may start to attack, more heavily than heretofore, Odessa, other cities, and Kiev itself.

There is a danger of huge escalation here. The Kiev regime is being supplied with more and more and better, more powerful, arms. Not only arms but money, food, medicines etc. Supplied by the West, but mainly from the USA and UK.

Without those arms, without that money, the failed state of Ukraine could not exist at all. It has almost no exports, its industrial areas are inoperative, or ablaze, or under Russian control. Millions of its wealthier and/or better-educated citizens are in exile. Within Ukraine, the Zelensky regime has shot or imprisoned opponents without trial, or after neo-Stalinist quick “trials”; it has banned trade unions and all opposition parties, and there is no freedom of speech.

In short, Zelensky, like his shambolic and corrupt “government”, is a “monkey on a stick”. This is a Punch and Judy show.

Having said that, if it is true that Russia’s forces are faltering, if it is true that Russia’s supply of heavy weapons to the war is slowing, then that may leave Putin and his top people with an incentive to escalate the war beyond anything yet seen. That in turn might provoke a NATO response. If that were to happen, European civilization, in Europe, itself might be in peril.

Look at the UK. Ten years ago, even five years ago, look on, eg, Rightmove, and you saw numerous English or Scottish country estates for sale, some with thousands of acres. Now? Nothing, pretty much. I blogged about this previously, even a few years ago.

Cash is being phased out. It’s a control mechanism. Once cash goes, the citizen is reduced to complete and utter dependence on his little plastic cards. If they are restricted or taken away, by whoever controls the system, the individual is immediately an outcast, without money, without any way (short of theft, robbery, or begging) even to access food.

When I last visited Hong Kong, in 2006, there was a regional technical problem with credit and debit cards. None worked for several days. Fortunately, I was already in hotel accommodation (the Sheraton, Kowloon) and had several thousand US dollars in cash as well, but what if a similar situation occurs, and you have no cash (because cash does not exist), and what if you are not in accommodation for whatever reason? You sleep on a park bench, and forage for whatever food you can find.

Do not imagine that the banks are some kind of unbiased arbiter or supplier of services. They may be, most of the time, but even now we see examples of people with “the wrong views” being cut off from banking services. It happened a while ago to Sam Melia, Laura Towler and Mark Collett of Patriotic Alternative. I am not talking even about the PA official bank accounts. No, I refer to the individual, personal bank accounts of those people.

It can happen to you and to me, too.

That’s right. Either they would be seen as “hideously white“, in the words of the cretinous Greg Dyke [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Dyke], or too pro-“colonialist” (The Four Feathers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Four_Feathers_(1939_film)), too European, or not sufficiently viciously “anti-Nazi”, (even Casablanca, because it does not mention the sainted Jews at all).

You can see the way UK television drama has gone, even detective stories such as Endeavour, Grantchester etc. A kind of “we must have half the characters black, brown, other non-white, or at least gay” ethos.

Interesting that this alleged fact should emerge now, just as her family and friends, with other supporters, are trying to get her back to the UK. Is someone trying to provoke her assassination?

Not that I want her back in the UK. I do not want any of them here in the first place.
