Morning music

Ketelbey [1875-1959] was Britain’s first millionaire composer; producing light music, he was enormously popular in his day (broadly, 1896-1945). His peak popularity was probably in the 1920s; by the time of his death in 1959, he was completely obscure, his demise scarcely noticed.
Incidentally, when competing for a scholarship to Trinity College of Music in 1889, at the age of 13-14, he scored the highest marks of all applicants (second place went to Gustav Holst).

Talking point (thinking about the UK migration invasion)
“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” [Matthew 7:6, King James Authorized Version]
Musings from 2018
Stands up at least reasonably well, I think. I see now that that blog post has had more hits in 2026 than it has had in all previous years put together. Interesting.

Evil little sprite.
I can agree with that, and with some other Dugin remarks, but his overall philosophy is confused, like that of, e.g. fellow Slavonic philosopher of sorts, Slavoj Zizek: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavoj_%C5%BDi%C5%BEek; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleksandr_Dugin
[“The rapid proliferation of Russian advanced, motorized drones poses an increasing challenge to Ukraine’s air defense system, forcing Kyiv to adapt to a faster and more demanding threat. – Reuters.
According to Reuters, the number of launches of Russian motorized drones has increased from approximately 450 in June to 2,850 in August, while Ukrainian intelligence estimates production at around 3,000 per month. With speeds reaching 500 km/h, these drones are much more difficult to intercept with cheaper Ukrainian interceptor drones, compared to slower systems like the “Shahed.”
This shift appears to give Russia an advantage in terms of cost and speed. Ukraine is under pressure to develop faster interceptors, guided missiles, electronic warfare systems, and AI-supported defense systems, while some Ukrainian pilots are increasingly relying on fighter jets and, in some cases, artillery fire, as missile supplies dwindle.
From a Russian military perspective, the value of these drones lies not only in the damage they can inflict, but also in their ability to force Ukraine to expend more expensive and limited defensive resources, while continuously adapting its air defense network. Reuters reports suggest that Moscow is increasingly leveraging differences in speed, production volume, and cost to create sustained pressure on Ukrainian defenses.“]
Good.
Millions of other people are also checking out of the UK; not only by emigrating but also by checking out mentally, hating the System parties and politicians and their treachery.
Give the invaders (not just the “Piddington” ones) a choice: return to your countries of origin, or go to a third country outside Europe, or face incarceration, sterilization and, ultimately, execution.
[“This is the liberal worldview in one clip. Grooming gangs don’t matter. It was a distant scandal. It’s been blown out of proportion. I would rather talk about AI & economics.
Aside from conveniently ignoring the fact, as even Louise Casey reports, that grooming gangs are still rife TODAY, like most liberals Rory’s brain cannot compute what the scandal is really about.
As Jon Haidt showed in his work, unlike conservatives liberals literally cannot process in-group loyalty, belonging, tradition, or the sanctity of a community.
The grooming gang scandal matters and should be front and centre in our national debate because it ran roughshod over all of that.
It involved the violation of our people and children. It saw out-groups prey on the in-group. And it directly clashed with our values.
Most ordinary people can see that. They can sense that while this is about Pakistani gangs it’s also about a fundamental clash of values and an intense anger about how fellow members of the in-group were treated by outsiders.
But liberals like Rory cannot. They will only ever talk about harm when it is done to minorities or outsiders. And they will only ever talk about empathy when it involves migrants, outsiders, newcomers — they literally have no serious interest in white British working class kids, never-mind showing them more loyalty than migrant communities.
Liberals have an enormous blind spot which you see right here in this clip. They are just incapable of talking about group identity, loyalty, and culture which is also why they are losing politically. They do not even think it’s worth talking about. Unfortunately for them, millions of people think otherwise.“]
Just another opinions-approved monkey-on-a-stick.
I assessed Rory Stewart on the blog as long ago as 2019, in a blog post which —with a very large number of appended updates— has been one of the most popular over the years, read by thousands of people:
Not just women, but probably more women than men. The kind of women that, in the UK in the 1980s, 1990s (and even a decade or so ago) used to worship that African dimwit Mandela and his ANC rabble. Brainwashed by multikulti msm propaganda that few had the knowledge or intellect to critique.

The faces of the British (?) facilitators should not have been blurred. They should be seen, so that they can be identified.
