Sometime in the near future, I shall post a blog article (as yet unwritten) distinguishing between political action and (where it crosses over into what is often called) “terrorism”. A grey area. For example, what about the “Resistance” and (on the Eastern Front) “partisans”, fighting the German Reich? What about those who took up arms in the 1920s and 1940s against the Soviet state? What about “anti-colonial” “fighters”, “terrorists”, or whatever? Jews in Palestine, Mau Mau in Kenya, various Arab “freedom-fighters” etc. What about “lone wolves”?
Is it merely that (only?) when such people are (maybe unofficially) under the loose direction of a recognized state, they are not “terrorists”? That is pretty thin from the ethical point of view.
So I shall consider the above questions and related issues in a later post.

Heard on radio that someone called Scott, the divorced ex-wife of Amazon kingpin Jeff Bezos, has given away USD $4 Billion in the past few months to hundreds of charities relieving poverty in the USA. Apparently about USD $35 Million daily. She is able to do that because, prior to the “panicdemic”, she was worth around USD $64 Billion, and her wealth has increased by a further USD $25 Billion this year! In other words, even having given away USD $4 Billion, she is yet worth USD $81 Billion! Staggering. 81 thousand million US dollars!
Even Croesus might be envious!
I do not want to be too churlish. At least she is trying to help struggling people, and with a significant chunk of her wealth, something others with similar or more wealth (eg her ex-husband) are (in most cases) not doing.
What is wrong is the fact that any individual has that amount of wealth in the first place. I do not believe, really, that any one person should control even 1% of that amount of wealth (even that would be about USD $800 Million. That amounts to about £600M in UK money).
As far as UK people are concerned, I have no objection to someone having a million pounds, maybe £10M, but probably not £100M.

Again, I fully support British fishermen and the integrity of UK territorial waters, including our right under the Law of the Sea to an Exclusive Economic Zone, where applicable, but this is not an easy issue.
If Royal Navy vessels defend British fishermen and the fish in those waters from French fishermen, and if then the French Navy moves to defend the French fishing fleet, could there be undeclared war (akin to the 1970s Cod War off Iceland) in the Channel? As far as I know, that would be the first UK-France naval “engagement” in the Channel since the time of Napoleon.
There is another point: a high proportion (it may be 40%, it may be 60%) of fish taken in UK waters is then exported at once to EU states, mostly France and Spain. If France and Spain ban imports of British fish, or (via the EU) impose ruinously high tariffs, that will kill much of what is left of the UK fishing industry as surely as if the foreign fishermen simply took all the fish…
The only possible good thing is that fish in the UK will be cheaper, so at least the British consumer will benefit to that extent.
So the hit on public finances (ultimately, paid out of taxation by the British people…) might be as much as £50 BILLION! Even if it turns to be nearer to £100 million or £1 billion, rather than tens of billions, I fail to see why most should get anything or anything beyond a nominal sum. I have actually seen Grantchester, once. It was when I was doing my Bar pupillage. Can we be clear. Lockdowns work. We saw that earlier in the year. What doesn't work are Fire-Breaks, Circuit-Breakers, etc. Because as soon they are lifted, rates leap up again. But Lockdowns are unsustainable over the long term. So can we at least debate on that basis.
Meaning that, so long as people are all basically imprisoned in their homes, “the virus” cannot easily be transmitted. If the “lockdown” (shutdown) is strict, maybe, but only for as long as it is maintained strictly. Except that it cannot be maintained for long, certainly not strictly, without inflicting massive economic and social (and indeed, non-Covid medical) damage on Britain. As Hodges says, even if “lockdowns” “work” (while they are in strict operation), they can only work as long as the shutdown continues. Israel, as a state, is no worse, and in some respects better, than the states that surround it. It is, of course, a fake state from one point of view; contrived, even more so than city-states such as Singapore or, say, Monaco.
For me, the objection to Israel (leaving aside how it was founded on the basis of terrorism, theft, robbery, trickery, and the expropriation of Arab Palestinian lands, is that Israel is more than a state. It is the centre of a global hub, the middle of a spider’s web of fraud, theft, conspiracy and worldwide political manipulation, using both the Jewish communities in many countries, and also non-Jew agents and catspaws (and “useful idiots”, in Lenin’s phrase), to exploit the peoples of the world.
Is the real centre of that web in Israel, or in the Jewish “communities” elsewhere? I rather think the latter, in fact.
For example, when I myself was in Kazakhstan (1996-97), I had considerable —almost daily— contact with both the British Embassy (which was walking distance from my home) and —to a lesser extent—the local diplomatic milieu generally. I met several of the ambassadors and got to know one or two personally. I certainly recall, apart from the British Ambassador, the American, Australian and Pakistani, as well as several lesser diplomats in various missions.
I never met the Israeli one, but was told by an Israeli businessman (an ex-IDF general) that Israeli ambassadors are very carefully controlled and evaluated by their bosses. They are judged on the quantity and quality of their contacts in a very precise way. From what I heard, at least, it seems that an Israeli embassy does not operate in the way of a normal one, but more like a rezidentura of the old KGB.
Look at those two tweets above, by a leading UK-based (ex-Israel) Zionist, who has been heavily involved in commentating and other activities relating to the Labour Party and to UK “antisemitism”.
His claim re. Israel is that it is “multi-ethnic”. That is true in the sense that there are numerous ethnic groups there. It is a “false truth”, though. It would be absurd to think that any group other than the Jews control everything of importance in Israel.
I think that that is how “they” see the world in general. They have no wish to “convert” the world to Judaism (and the strictly religious ones at least say that that is not possible anyway —including those Ethiopian “Jews”). They do not even wish to kill non-Jews, in general. What they do want is to exercise general world control, and to fruitfully exploit the world for, mainly, their own benefit.

In December 2007, I made my last appearance as a barrister in court, a three-day construction case at Central London County Court, situated in elegant Park Crescent, near Regent’s Park.
The case should never have been allowed to proceed by the (Indian) solicitors involved. I was asked to take on the case at very short notice. I saw the brief on a Saturday, to appear 1-2 days later on Monday morning!
The judge was a bad-tempered man called Collins (I may be wrong but think that he was later elevated to the High Court bench if that was the same Collins (not sure). He was scathing about my clients’ case (quite rightly, it must be admitted, but he might have been a little more polite about it).

As can be seen from that table, even persons who were half-Jewish, i.e. with one Jewish parent, were usually permitted full citizenship rights.

Again, can we try to be a bit sensible. The issue isn't the pandemic's "over". Or "false positives". We haven't been getting daily "false deaths". The issue is lockdowns that repress transmission meaningfully aren't sustainable economically, socially or for other medical reasons.
For once, I agree with Hodges. “Lockdown” or semi-lockdowns and shutdowns are killing Britain economically, socially and in terms of people suffering and dying completely unnecessarily from other, non-“Covid, conditions.
These shutdowns and restrictions are just not sustainable and should never have been implemented, certainly not for longer than a month. Economy trashed, retail sector especially trashed, civil liberties trashed, society as a whole trashed. For what? As we move towards the very significant year 2022, it can be seen that the groups, cabals or “ruling circles” of the West are gearing up.
The whole “virus” and vaccines narrative has become almost hysterical. Yes, a million people have died “with” this virus (most of whom would have died anyway at or near the same time, from other conditions they had), but that is out of eight thousand million (i.e. 8 billion) human beings on the Earth. I do not say that “the virus” does not exist. Of course it does. Something like 50,000 have died with it in the UK, out of about 70 million inhabitants (about one death for every 1,400 people in the UK). It is a serious public health problem, but is hardly the Plague or the Black Death.
In much of the UK, the population has been basically unaffected. Anecdotally, I personally do not know a single person who has had “the virus”, let alone died from it. Indeed, as far as I know, I do not know anyone who knows anyone who has had it, even asymptomatically.
It is clear that the virus has been weaponized, across the “West” especially, meaning Europe, North America, Australasia, to corral the population into both obedience to State orders and into being injected with the vaccine(s). The fact that there is already mooted the strong possibility of compulsion or “nudge” semi-compulsion is deeply suspicious.
Leaving aside “the virus” question, we see that the System is also behind the ludicrous “Black Lives Matter” campaign. That too is tied up with large-scale movements, behind which are those same groups or “ruling circles”. The “Great Replacement” of white Europeans both in Europe and across the world. White Genocide.
The “useful idiots” here are of course the “blacks and browns” and other non-whites, as well as the pathetic”antifa” and “anti-racist” types, all used by the System as a battering ram. The next world-historic year will be 2022.
