Madness. The governments of the EU states and UK do not care at all about the welfare of their own citizens.

Ha ha! Jews are quite funny (without meaning to be) a lot of the time. It’s always “all about them”, in any and all circumstances. For example, Israeli Jews destroying every single hospital in Gaza is simply war damage, and really the fault of those being bombed, but if a hospital in Israel as much as has its windows broken, it’s some kind of evil “holocaust” (and so on…).

A few hundred cowardly Jews with dual nationality leaving their own (supposed) beloved country because they wish to avoid all risk is apparently the same as the 1940 Dunkirk evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force (my own maternal grandfather having been one of those taken off the beaches then) facing possible annihilation; and with the 1940-41 London Blitz thrown in as well! No wonder so many Jews are comedians…

Having said that, I believe that the lady tweeter is herself at least partly Jewish, but not (not completely, anyway) pro-Israel.

There used to be a saying, something about (I forget which creatures) leaving the sinking ship…

Oh, dear…what a pity… and only yesterday or the day before, I read that the shares on that stock exchange were rising fast, after Israel’s sneak attack on Iran. Life is so unexpected…

…and once the Israelis run out of ground-to-air missiles, Tel Aviv and other target areas will be almost undefended, and will be ground down (as Gaza has been), assuming that the Iranian missile barrages continue. According to the US/UK msm, that might be as early as one week from now.

So much for “Tel Aviv, the high-tech city with the booming economy“…It might soon be little more than a hole in the ground.

The Israelis hide weapons in hospitals, it seems, just as (they claim) Hamas did in Gaza.

People are always saying how wonderfully talented Fry is. I cannot see it, for all his fame, acting career etc. In Jeeves and Wooster, that wonderful adaptation of P.G. Wodehouse, Fry was admittedly very good as Jeeves, but Hugh Laurie was the star, really. In Gosford Park, Fry’s police inspector ruined, in my view, the atmosphere, by importing a kind of cheap comedy into the film. As for his film about Oscar Wilde, it was nowhere as good (or as historically accurate) as the 1960 film starring Peter Finch, The Trials of Oscar Wilde. Fry’s version (if I recall it aright— I have seen it, though long ago) almost completely expunged Wilde’s heterosexual side [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar_Wilde#London_life_and_marriage], and said little about Wilde’s life or views outside of Wilde’s obsession with Lord Alfred Douglas and various disreputable youths.

I knew a barrister who met Fry at a wedding, and said that he, the barrister, had been quite shocked at how “left-wing” (a term I myself rarely if ever use) Fry was. Said barrister was himself Labour, though of the John Smith “centrist” (?) tendency. Where Fry’s true sympathies lie is disputed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Fry. I am unsure whether he really has what might be called an ideology. He is, of course, half-Jewish.

Iran’s most deadly missiles may not be capable of interception.

It may be (speculating wildly, so be it) that the Iranians, often though not always noted for their subtlety, have been using their “pawns” (drones and slower missiles) as sacrificial pawns (as in chess), with the idea of exhausting the Israeli supply of ground-to-air defensive missiles. Then, when the Israelis run out of countermeasures such as Iron Dome and Arrow missiles, the Iranians will launch the real stuff…

That occurs to me as I recall the arguably most famous game of the Soviet chess grandmaster Mikhail Tal (a Jew, incidentally), who sacrificed almost every piece he had on the board, even his queen, in order to deliver the final brilliant and inescapable line of moves that led to checkmate (via a minor piece, at that). I think that that game was in 1968 or thereabouts.

The Jew-Zionist pack generally should be cleared out of Twitter. They are the ones who, more than all others put together, have almost destroyed free speech on that platform and others, and generally.

It is almost incredible, when you look at it, how the Jewish element in a society is usually the most disruptive, and in the strangest way: having great privilege and money, in some cases fame and fortune (as with Stephen Fry), yet so often with the ingrained wish somewhere inside them to bring down into decay and degradation the same society that has nurtured them.

A friend of mine met Stephen Fry at a wedding about 30 years ago, and was surprised at how (in his words) very “left-wing” Fry was (I myself never use the “right”/”left” terminology). My friend was a member of the Labour Party at the time.

Reminds me of how the Jewish actress, Maureen Lipman, has often “threatened” (if such be the bon mot) to leave the UK (which has given her everything) because of supposed “anti-Semitism”, and to go to Israel or California. Somehow, unfortunately, she never quite makes it.

Fry was good in Jeeves and Wooster. In other roles, he disappoints, at least judging from those films etc—admittedly not many— that I have seen. His ham acting as the police inspector in Gosford Park rather spoiled that film for me. Fry overdid the comedy in the “comedy-drama”, in my opinion.

Cultural vandalism. Ukraine is small in geographic size compared to Russia, and has less than a third of the population, but is still a very large country, almost the same geographic size as France. Putting it as kindly as possible, you cannot compare the contribution of Ukraine to world culture, as against that of Russia.

Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Glinka, Glazunov, Myaskovsky, Prokofiev, Shostakovitch, Rachmaninov, Stravinsky, Borodin, Scriabin, to name but a few of the most famous; and that is only in the realm of music. Ukraine’s list is very small by comparison.

Well, that Mayor of Reading looks very different from the slightly grumpy (Labour Party) Mayor of Reading whom I “interviewed” in the rather grand (as I then thought) Mayor’s Parlour with a school friend for a home-made school-holidays “newspaper” when I was about 14, I think in 1971.

The Mayor received us in the Mayor’s offices, which were then by the Museum and St. Laurence’s Church, right in the centre of the town. I see that the local council is now based in a more contemporary building elsewhere.

That mayor was about 60 (I think), with glasses (I think), and was a chemist with a pharmacy in the town somewhere. Not overly friendly (impatient?) once pressed on policy, but it was good of him to agree to see two schoolboys taking up his time, really.

Seeing that tweet by the blondinka who is now the Mayor inspired me to look at the Reading town centre on Google Earth. Very different to what I recall from 1956-1966 childhood, 1970s schooldays (mainly at Reading Blue Coat School, Sonning, near Reading), and a couple of visits in the 1980s.

I see that large areas are now pedestrianized, and that the area near the railway station is also even uglier than it was in the past.

On my last visit to the town, about 15 years ago, I did not need to go into the centre, and was staying on the outskirts, in what I think was a Holiday Inn or similar. In the dark of a winter early evening, and a little tired, I drove into an awkwardly-designed intersection the wrong way (down a no-entry bit), and then compounded my sin by going through a red light and driving off when I saw that the only vehicle around was a police van (wouldn’t you know?!). They chased after me, blue light flashing and siren wailing. I decided that I had to stop, after a short while.

The denouement? I told the officers, one young man, and a girl so young-looking that she might have been a schoolgirl, my story (that I was unfamiliar with the layout etc) and, after a telling-off from the “schoolgirl”, was let off, and allowed to go on my way without even having to go through the boring stuff such as having my licence etc checked (I was fully-compliant with the relevant laws anyway— licence, insurance, MOT etc).

I have never met Fry, but I knew someone who met him at a wedding in the 1980s, and my friend (a Labour Party activist himself, in fact) was quite surprised and almost shocked by what he said were Fry’s “incredibly Left-wing” views.

Incidentally, an (American) reader comments on that report that:

Like many Americans, that one fails to see that, while it is true that there is vast disparity of wealth in the UK, the disparity is actually less so here than in the USA. As for the “standard of living” enjoyed by Americans, in many cases it is far below that of many Brits in the UK.

I myself have met multimillionaires in the US, as well as ordinarily-wealthy people, but I have in the past also met many poor people there. The median income may be higher, but when you factor in the cost of paying for medical services, tertiary education etc, the situation is not so clear-cut. Not to mention the fact that most working Americans get almost no paid holiday time

Alison Chabloz herself, she failed last Thursday to get bail pending her appeal against her most recent magistrates’ court conviction for lampooning Jewish behaviour, having been sentenced to 22 weeks (11 weeks actually in prison) on 14 April 2022, and so will remain in Bronzefield Prison (near Heathrow Airport) until 29 June 2022, unless released early on electronic tag (which seems unlikely, at present).
