Saturday quiz

Well, this week 8/10, as against the 4.5/10 claimed by political journalist John Rentoul. I admit I was not completely sure about question 8. I did not know the answers to questions 1 and 2.

The corruption of the Kiev regime yet again exposed

Hungary seizes millions of euros in cash and gold from Ukrainian convoy
Seven Ukrainians arrested and money-laundering investigation launched in latest spat between Kyiv and Budapest.
An increasingly acrimonious spat between Hungary and Ukraine has escalated further, as Budapest impounded two Ukrainian armoured bank vehicles carrying millions of euros of hard cash as well as bars of gold.
Seven Ukrainian citizens accompanying the convoy were also arrested. Hungarian officials said the detained Ukrainians had intelligence links and suggested the money could be of dubious origin, while Ukraine’s foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, accused Budapest of “taking hostages and stealing money”.
Hungary’s national tax and customs administration said it had opened a money-laundering investigation over the shipment, which it said was made up of $40m and €35m in cash, as well as 9kg of gold. It said one of those arrested was “a former Ukrainian intelligence service general”.
Oschadbank, Ukraine’s state savings bank, said its staff were transporting cash and gold between between Austria and Ukraine in a “routine trip”, carried out by land because of restrictions on air travel in Ukraine.
But Orbán’s political director, Balázs Orbán, cast doubt on the shipment: “Armoured vehicles full of cash and gold moving across Hungary is not how legitimate financial transactions usually work,” he wrote on X. “The real question is simple: who stands behind this money and what is it meant to finance?”

Quite late. I had one from 1993, the first a very heavy Motorola flip-phone, almost the size of a brick, and almost as heavy. Worked well, though. I have no reason to have a mobile telephone now, so do not have one; in fact, I positively avoid the bloody things.
Ha…
How is that Iran war going, Trump? (Strait of Hormuz blocked…).
Russia must defeat the Kiev regime before 2029.
Don’t forget Dimona.
In any case, and regardless of presumed intentions, Iran has no means of attacking the continental USA.
I notice that the usual Jewish-influenced msm talking-heads and scribblers in the UK are talking up “Iranian attack on UK” plans (non-existent, in reality), just as happened c.25 years ago re. Iraq.
Starmer’s “finest hour“? Ha. I have little time for Churchill’s policies, but the man was a titan by comparison.
Blair was “America’s poodle” in his day. The part-Jew, David Cameron-Levita, was a joke, trying to be a “war leader” along with sleazy corrupt half-Jew Sarkozy, and of course their Libyan misadventure has led at appalling results both in Libya itself and (via migration-invasion) across Europe.
Since then, of course, part-Jew “Boris” Johnson has tried on the mantle of “war leader” (in respect of Ukraine). Even Liz Truss, in her brief and utterly ludicrous weeks both as Foreign Secretary and Prime Minister, tried to do it. Now Starmer?! This was already a joke, already a bad joke, but now becomes farcical.

Ha. Trump is fatally naive for an executive head of state.
The Iranian leadership has not stopped rocketing nearby Arab countries because of the American and Israeli attacks on Iran. Iran has stopped attacking places such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Qatar etc because the limited attacks that have taken place in those mini-states have already accomplished their purposes.
Look at what a relatively small number of drones and even fewer missiles have accomplished. Dubai’s status as a tourist-friendly, expat-friendly holiday and business destination is totally trashed. Now it looks dangerous (even though it is not, not much anyway), repressive (the wrong social media posts can get you locked up and also fined up to £200,000), and a terrible place to invest (your house or flat may be hit by war, and real property values are dropping through the floor). A basic message of uncertainty and lack of safety.
Fancy buying a flat in Dubai? Or having a holiday there? No, thought not.
Same is true, mutatis mutandis, of the other Gulf states.
Then there is the disruption to most international long-haul air routes.
Then, also, the Strait of Hormuz is closed to oil tankers unless the Iranian authorities give permission (as they did to a Russian tanker a day or two ago). Massive Iranian victory. The West may only be losing access to about 20% or so of the world’s oil, but that has been enough to put up prices, and to damage the economies of many countries.
All that from a few missiles and drones.
Don’t underestimate Iranian subtlety, when deployed.
Yet again, you read it here first.
