Reform’s flaw is really that it is not social-national and (therefore) is in the pocket of the Jewish/Israeli lobby. Part of that is the Farage/Tice belief in money and “markets” etc, i.e. finance-capitalism. Public services are not really very interesting to them.
That being so, Reform will not get beyond 40% in the opinion polls or the real polls, and may struggle to get over 30% at the next GE.

I could not verify the claim made by “Sprinter Press” about the USS Abraham Lincoln abandoning the Gulf after, supposedly, being hit by Iranian missiles. I hope it is true, but let´s not forget that in every war, both sides lie to boost the morale of their troops.

We are obviously getting incomplete information about the damage on the American-Israeli side, including damage in the UAE. The Gulf Arabs and Israelis are imposing heavy censorship. While Israel is obviously not suffering very heavy damage across the board, the damage it is suffering (eg attacks on ben-Gurion Airport) have strategic effects well out of proportion to the quantum of physical damage occurring.

Thank you for that long and illuminating post. Ezra Pound was a HERO far superior to those who are considered heroes because of their extraordinary courage on the battlefield. Pound stood firm when there were no medals to be won but only brutal beatings. He never went back on his word and carried on fighting the enemies of Mankind until he died.
Another HERO worth remembering is the French writer Louis-Ferdinand Céline (1894-1961). In 1937 he publicly declared his admiration and support for Adolf Hitler. When he was allowed to return to France (1951) he carried on talking as if the Germans were still in control. He never apologised and remained faithful to AH until the day he died.

Indeed Celine was a hero and a great writer. His book ‘Voyage au bout de la nuit” describes the absurdity of the first world war fought by people like us for criminals like them. A must read.
