A remarkably stupid “analysis” from that self-styled “journalist”. Hardly any UK governments over the past half century or more have enjoyed popular-vote majorities, and most MPs likewise are elected on less than 50% of the vote (often below 40%, and occasionally below 30%).

It may be true that, in most if not all constituencies, Reform UK could be beaten were all non-Reform voters to vote tactically for the most likely non-Reform candidate, but only those who prioritize beating Reform above all other issues and motivations would do that.

Indeed, the rise of the NSDAP in Germany was not swift and overwhelming. It took 14 years for the NSDAP to become the unchallenged government (in 1933), and 13 years for it to enter government at all (in 1932). In 1928, the NSDAP had a popular vote of only 2.6% nationwide, but by 1932 that vote had increased to about 33%, and in 1933 reached 44%.

That tweeted report says that, out of 19,000 council seats in England, Reform hold fewer than 2,500. True, but the “reporter” failed to add the fact that only 4,850 of those 19,000 council seats were actually up for election on 7 May 2026, by reason of our antiquated and stupid local electoral system.

Reform gained nearly 1,500 seats on 7 May, about a third of the seats actually up for election.

Were all 19,000 council seats to have been contested last week, it is highly likely that Reform would have done as well across the board, and now have over 6,000 councillors, quite likely many more.

Incidentally, the fake “journalist” there, Jack Dart, was a LibDem councillor at Torbay during 2019-2023, but was found guilty of malpractice. He has never been any sort of recognized journalist, even in local press or online outlets.

Jack Dart dropped out of a law degree course in 2018, and in the second year. He has never had a job except for some online campaigning against Brexit and for such bodies as the pro-migration “charity”, “Care4Calais” (best known for the egregious sexual and fraudulent activities of its founder, Clare Moseley).

Jack Dart also runs, or ran, a pro-Starmer website and online campaign called Hold the Line. That went well…

Tucker Carlson talks with some Jewish woman. “Their” reactions are often hard to understand for a European (including any real-European-origin American). They are “strangers in a strange land” among us.

Note how she has recently visited Germany, but all she has taken away from her visit are some speculations about the genesis of the supposed “holocaust” of the early 1940s.

Naturally, that sounds derogatory or even cruel, but once you have encountered Africans, even those with paper qualifications etc, you realize how true it is, speaking generally. There are a few exceptions, but not very many.

We have to improve and raise the overall intellectual level of the UK (and the rest of Europe). That cannot be done when millions of very low-level migrant-invaders are flooding in (whether “legally” or “illegally”) and breeding.

Of course, it may be trite to refer to MPs, journalistic scribblers and talking heads etc as “traitors” and “enemies“, but then look at what they, most of them, have done for decades, and continue to do. Facilitation and promotion of the migration invasion, and the covering-up of its consequences, among many other crimes.

So a couple of Jews are stabbed in London, and it is supposedly a “national security emergency“, but four persons (not Jews) shot from a moving car, as in 1920s Chicago, and it is merely an everyday criminal incident…

According to Marco Rubio last week, Iran may have used half of its entire missile stockpile, but that may also be true of Israel, we do not know. We can be sure, though, that Iran will be working day and night to build more missiles of the most advanced type.

If that is so, I think that I know why it is so. Such places were tribal Labour for a century or more, and now those people feel betrayed. They never expected the Con Party to help them, but they also never expected the Labour Party to stab them repeatedly in the back, or in the front for that matter.

It did not start with Starmer-stein but with Blair and Brown. Mass immigration encouraged, the demonization of the British sick and disabled, the ATOS carpetbaggers, the uselessness of police and NHS quite often. Then, also, freeloading and/or fraudulent MPs such as (to give merely a few examples) Stephen Timms, Caroline Flint (now binned), Wes Streeting, Liz Kendall, Rachel Reeves (all members of Labour Friends of Israel).

What hurts more, the enmity of a long-term enemy, or betrayal by a former friend?

Import the lower races, import their low standards and ways of doing things (including business and politics).

“Unexpected“? I have been predicting it for about 2 years, and proclaiming it as fact since Tice allied Reform to the Jewish lobby and Israel a while ago. Helen Whately is unlikely to retain her Faversham and Mid Kent seat, looking at her most recent election result; she retained the seat in 2024 with a very low 31.8% vote (Labour 28.6%; Reform 21.2%). Reform will probably win next time. She will hardly be on the breadline, though, being married to the CEO of an energy company.

The only factor to bear in mind is that it can only happen in Europe if the native populations want it badly enough, and are willing to pay the price (civil war) for it.

Leaving aside the politics, I have to commend that citizen for his garden (and flag!). An unaesthetic bungalow with a postage-stamp lawn, but his little trees and bushes have made a real difference. A few more, and it would be even better. If all the other dwellings in the neighbourhood did the same, the area would be transformed, very likely.

When I returned to the UK after a spell in Rhodesia, aged not quite 21, in 1977, I had no serious (well they were taken seriously, back then…) educational qualifications such as “A” Levels or a degree (having dropped out of school aged 16). I did not start to acquire such exam-pass qualifications until I was in my mid-twenties. However, it was very easy in those days to pick up casual/temporary low-level jobs in warehouses, factories, Post Office sorting facilities (heaving sacks of mail around) etc. You really had only to apply, in most cases. That was then.

Later, I acquired a law degree, then a Bar qualification (in fact, two, being Bar of England and Wales and the Bar of the State of New York, as well as a couple of “comity admissions” in other jurisdictions.

Terrible architecture (the new one; the older one merely undistinguished), but the worst thing is that Nature had a little space or haven there previously; now none.

Rather odd.

A thought out of season

I saw “Maureen Lipman” trending on Twitter/X today, and thought that perhaps she was at last going to make good on her much-repeated “threat” (or should that be “promise”?) to leave the UK by reason of “antisemitism” here, and go to live in either Israel or the USA. Sadly, no. It all has to do with some trivial storm in a teacup in a Scottish theatre.

I have just watched 22 July, a 2018 Netflix production about the 2011 massacre and bombing in Norway carried out by Anders Breivik.

Triple Lock

I disagree with the lady tweeter, but of course I would, being now 69 and markedly impecunious!

If the rubbish i Paper is right, then that is yet another reason to keep the Triple Lock…

Equally if not more seriously, that lady has apparently learned nothing from the fact that her ex-husband, one-time MP for Poole, lost his seat in 2024 (thus also depriving the lady in question of a fairly well-paid job as part of his office staff, though they were divorced long ago). She now pretends to run something called The Moderates, which I (perhaps uncharitably) think has a “membership” about the same as the number of empty bottles in her kitchen or cellar, and quite possibly no members at all.

At present, the Conservative Party is polling around 15%-19%, and may well be left with fewer than 50 MPs at the next general election (116 at present, already by far the lowest in its nearly 200-year history; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservative_Party_(UK)#UK_general_election_results).

Part of the reason Rishi Sunak did so badly at GE 2024 is because he is Indian, but another major factor (of several) was that, for one year, 2021/2022, he paused the Triple Lock, making pensioners worse off. He reinstated it before GE 2024, but by then the damage was done.

A very large proportion of the Conservative Party vote in 2024, as always in the past, consisted of people over 60. Many former Con voters, though, did not vote, or voted Reform. The Con Party has not recovered, and will (in my opinion) never recover. Abandoning the Triple Lock would hammer in the final nail.

Now, bearing in mind that the Con Party is already usually opinion-polling below 20%, imagine the reaction from the pensioner voters were the Con Party to abandon the Triple Lock; Con Party support would decline to around 15%, maybe even to 10%, and the party be all but wiped out.

The same is true of Labour, though. Labour polling is already on or nearly on life support. Getting rid of the Triple Lock would dent the surviving Labour vote very considerably. At GE 2024, 20% of voters aged 70+ were still voting Labour, as were 28% of voters aged 60-69.

So far, Reform has pledged to retain the Triple Lock, thus locking-in a good proportion of that crucial 60+ age-group vote.

Look at the Con Party. Led by a Nigerian woman (that, alone…) who is a finance-capitalist stooge completely in the pocket of the Israel/Jewish lobby, and who only has a British passport because her parents deliberately had her born in London (only staying for a few days in 1980).

Are many people going to vote Con, either at the next GE or in the 7 May 2026 local elections? I doubt it.

There are very many systems of numerology. Under one of the simplest (applicable to Latin-alphabet languages), A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=6, G=7, H=8, I=9, J=1, K=2, L=3, M=4, N=5, O=6, P=7, Q=8, R=9, S=1, T=2, U=3, V=4, W= 5, X=6, Y=7, Z=9.


Under that system, Ian Robert Millard would be:

I have blogged previously, several times, about the Gorton and Denton by-election. From (obviously) a considerable distance, I see it as being very close among Reform/Greens/Labour, but I just cannot see who would vote Labour now, in that seat or elsewhere.

Having said that, the one-third of eligible voters in the by-election who are Pakistani Muslims are hard to fathom. Many cannot even speak English, and their educational level is probably rock-bottom. Who knows what their motivations might be? Labour is said to have an effective electoral machine up there (though journalists say that little has been seen of Labour canvassers etc).

I can see the dilemma of the Muslim voters, perhaps unwilling to vote Labour because it is a Labour Friends of Israel misgovernment, also unwilling (perhaps) to vote Green because Green policies include the decriminalization of both drugs (all drugs) and pornography (all pornography?), yet unwilling to vote for the (supposedly) anti-migration-invasion Reform UK.

The Muslims would probably have voted for George Galloway or his candidate, but he has endorsed the Green Party candidate, thus greatly boosting the Greens’ chances.

I should imagine that most white English/British voters in the seat will be voting Reform; we shall see. To vote any other way would be turkeys voting for Christmas.

My own feeling is that Matt Goodwin, for Reform, could still do this, but it may run very close.

Reform’s weakness has always been its finance-capitalist and also its pro-Israel, pro-Jewish lobby orientation. Farage welcoming deadheads, freeloaders, and/or non-Brits such as Nadine Dorries, Nadhim Zahawi etc has weakened the Reform “brand”, no question. Matt Goodwin himself has openly criticized that, and Farage has (retaliation?) gone to the Chagos Islands (well, offshore there) instead of slogging it out on the by-election front-lines with Goodwin. Not impressive.

Were Reform more social-national, even it it fell far short of my policy positions, it would be on 50% in the opinion polls, not between 24% and 28%.

That poll shows not only Con and Lab, but also the Greens and LibDems almost on the same level: 18%, 18%, 17%, and 14%. Reform still leading the pack, though not convincingly.

Of course, a victory for Reform in the by-election would certainly give them a national boost.

Incidentally, that latest poll would indicate a Commons with about 291 Reform MPs (some distance short of a majority), Greens 80 (official, albeit very weak, Opposition!), Cons 79, LibDems 74, Labour 53, SNP 45 [etc].

If the reports are accurate, then we may not be far from nuclear war. Were that to happen, both Britain and France, as we know them, will cease to exist.

I believe that that uninfluential Twitter/X account is or was run by a Jewish woman who tweeted once or twice, inaccurately, about me, though years ago.

Whatever the truth of that, Amazon is thoroughly under “the usual” baleful influence. I was once a “top 50” reviewer (in the UK) on Amazon UK, voted so by readers, but a concerted campaign of faked complaint by Jews meant that hundreds of my reviews were deleted with neither warning nor any right of appeal. One Jew, a “Daniel Sevitt” (now resident in Ra’anana near Tel Aviv, but of UK-resident origins) organized it, I discovered later (he admitted his crime publicly, online, and in fact appeared proud of his activity). He now “replies” on Twitter/X, and in very insolent terms to any anti-Israel tweeters (who never addressed him in the first place). Another Jewish-Zionist loonie. https://x.com/danielsevitt.

In fact, even the Jewish Chronicle reported on the then-“anonymous” complaint about my reviews, prior to their removal.

Many of those reviews, probably the majority, were neither about Jews, Israel, WW2 etc, nor even mentioned those topics, incidentally.

Exactly. I do not know whether Farage is weakening Reform UK deliberately, or simply out of ineptitude. I have blogged before, some long time ago, about how Farage is not really a very clever politician. That of course sounds counter-intuitive after the repeated near-successes— UKIP, Brexit Party and now, writ much larger, Reform UK.

It seems absurd in a way, to think that Farage may be a System catspaw, but his actions are sometimes very strange for someone leading an insurgent political force. Also, when Farage entered the Chamber of the House of Commons for the first time, Starmer himself crossed the floor and welcomed him, with every sign of genuine bonhomie. Simple courtesy? “Democratic” politicians’ comity? Maybe…

The Reform “brand” has definitely been weakened by having the previously-Con ministers and MPs, mostly corrupt, freeloading, or incompetent, joining on a quasi-senior level.

In the other recent significant by-election, Labour and Starmer-stein were humiliated when Reform won by a mere 6 votes. It might be as close as that, either way, at Gorton and Denton.

Indeed. Imagine a scenario where, yes, Israel has nuclear weapons and Iran has none but does have thousands of hypersonic and other missiles, even if non-nuclear. Gorton and Denton by-election

I blogged yesterday about the upcoming by-election in a suburb of Manchester. In my blog post, I speculated that the only 3 parties in serious contention (there are 10 candidates in toto: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorton_and_Denton#Elections_in_the_2020s), i.e. Reform, Labour, and the Greens, might score about 30% each, leading to a close race in which Reform would be the likely winner.

Earlier today, I mentioned my gut feeling (almost entirely unevidenced, I concede) that the Gorton and Denton Labour vote might collapse before the by-election is held.

More about the Gorton and Denton by-election

Now that Galloway and his Workers’ Party have decided not to stand, the Green Party vote-share will inevitably increase, most if not all of potential Galloway voters being Muslims who will now pivot to the Greens, as against Starmer-stein’s Labour Friends of Israel misgovernment and its just-announced candidate, a Greek woman, born in Greece, and who seems to be a kind of “quangocrat” type.

As previously blogged, it seems to me that this may be a close match between Reform and the Greens. Labour did score 50.8% at GE 2024 not even a year ago but, since then, the Starmer government has failed on almost all fronts. I give it a couple of ticks in respect of a few smaller matters, but on the big things it has failed, abjectly.

I am thinking that the Labour vote percentage at the by-election might be around two-thirds of where it was at GE 2024. That would be in line with the national “Labour intending” vote (as expressed in recent opinion polls). Labour scored 33.7% at GE 2024, but at present is polling somewhere around 20%.

If replicated at the by-election, that would perhaps reduce the Lab vote to around 30% or so. The remaining ~20% seen at GE 2024 will either not vote (and that might be the main option, this being only a by-election) or will go Green or Reform, maybe half and half of the remainder.

Reform scored only 14.1% at GE 2024 (2nd place), but might get another 5% via former Labour voters, another 5% out of the 7.9% the Con Party scored at GE 2024, and perhaps will also get votes from people who normally do not vote. Call it 30% overall.

As for the Greens, they were 3rd-placed at GE 2024—they got 13.2%, and the Workers’ Party got 10.3%, so assuming that all of the latter join with the former, that makes somewhere not far short of 24%. Add about 5% from disenchanted former Labour voters, and the Greens might also get 30% at the by-election.

So there it is. The best I can do is think that Reform, the Greens, and Labour will all end up with somewhere around 30% of the total vote. May be a very close result, though my gut tells me that Labour may just collapse. No proof of that, just a nagging feeling.

There are 10 candidates in all. Those other than the main three will probably share about 10% of the total vote. Advance UK may take some votes away from Matt Goodwin and Reform, but I think not many. Only Reform has the public profile to possibly win the by-election, and that might persuade people who like Advance UK [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_UK] or its candidate, Nick Buckley [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Buckley], to switch to Reform.

As for the LibDems and the very minor or joke candidates, all but irrelevant.

Hard to call, but the momentum is surely with Reform UK at this point.

Puzzling, and it even occurred to me that that Egyptian might be an (ex-) agent of SIS, and that that might explain the long and consistent efforts to have him released by the Egyptian authorities, but then UK government ministers would, presumably, not be making such a noise about it. Britain needs a real Border Force, not the present Border Farce which actually ferries migrant invaders into the UK!

Of course, the old East German force called the Grenzpolizei (Border Police) had a dual role, as much aimed at keeping the working-age population of the DDR in as keeping smugglers, spies etc out…

I have to say that the Grenzpolizei, on the couple of occasions when I encountered them, were both amiable and alarmingly efficient, for example when I and my driver were processed through a small crossing-point (we were the only car, in fact the only vehicle travelling West, in an hour spent there). They (politely, efficiently) emptied the contents of the car (a Volvo estate or station-wagon), then partially dismantled the car, taking out, entirely, various parts, including the seats (they did put it all together again later).

While many who are hostile to Reform will be crowing because Plaid Cymru won that by-election, in big-picture terms the second place for Reform is far more significant.

Plaid only does well in a few places in Wales, and makes no pretence of being a UK-wide party. It has 4 MPs at Westminster (out of 32 Welsh seats), 2 peers (out of 828), and 14 Senedd members (out of 60).

Reform has just captured 36% of the votes at the Caerphilly by-election, more than impressive from a standing start and for a party basically perceived as English.

The main System parties have been trashed by the voters who bothered to vote (turnout was just over 50%): Labour, the previous holders of the seat, fell from 45.9% to a mere 11%. The Conservative party fell far too, from 17.3% to a mere 2%. Reform’s 35% this time can be compared to its previous result (2.2%, though some sources say 1.7%; no matter).

This has huge implications for both local and Westminster elections in England, of course.

Reform has achieved this level of support not because people love it, its policies, or its leader, Farage, but because people now hate and despise both main System parties. The SNP suddenly became pre-eminent in Scotland in 2015 not because many Scots loved or much-supported it, but because the Labour and other parties’ votes collapsed.

Think about it. Labour support overall is running at about 15%-25%, say 20% or thereabouts. Britain is now 20% non-white; Muslims are about 8% or maybe 10% of the population. Until recently, almost all voted Labour. Hardly any white English voters, in particular, now intend to vote Labour.

Dan Hodges trying to spin the Caerphilly result as not terribly good for Reform UK, despite their vote having increased from around 2% to 36%! Look at Labour— 11%. Or Conservative Party— 2%.

Another way to look on the Caerphilly result might be to say that, if Reform can get a 36% result in a core part of Wales, what will it be getting in much of England.

I have no quarrel with that, but Dan Hodges is trying to stem the tide with words.

It may well be that Reform cannot get more, overall, than 35% or even a few points below that (in that poll, 29%). What Hodges does not seem to want to say, though, is that a party which gets even 29% in a general election can very easily still be the party that gets a plurality of votes and a plurality of Commons seats, maybe even a majority of seats.

On the figures above, Reform would still get about 370 Commons seats, and a solid majority. Labour might get 89 seats, the LibDems 69, the SNP 45, Cons about 21, and Greens 18.

Conservative Party would be only the fifth-largest party in the Commons.

Yes, but the idea that voters who dislike Reform will vote tactically on a big enough scale to stop the Reform deluge is very doubtful. Dent the juggernaut, yes, stop it, no. Some of the results might be unpredictable.

If Hodges says that Caerphilly was bad for Farage and Reform, how much worse was it for Starmer and Labour, or Badenoch and the Con Party?

So without tactical anti-Reform voting, an overall 25% vote for Reform UK would give Reform 200+ votes, maybe 250. With tactical voting, Reform might get “only” 150-200…

The System drones are getting desperate. Even 150 MPs is massive for a party which presently has half a dozen. Also, from where does the “25%” come? Reform is currently far higher in the polls and was, recently, as high as 36%.

The fact is that the “Overton Window” is moving fast now. The Lab and Con System parties are dying. Reform, though underwhelming, is a symptom of the (mainly) white, mainly English voters losing patience.

If Reform forms a government but then fails to do “the necessary”, real social nationalism can take the reins, with the support of enough people to take power. The NSDAP in Germany had only 2.6% of the national vote in 1928, but by 1932 had 33%, and Hitler was able to take over the rulership of the country.

If fake Labour can lose about three-quarters (in fact, more than 3/4) of their previous vote in formerly rock-solid Caerphilly, in South Wales, where Labour votes were once said to be “weighed not counted“, the fall in support in most parts of England must surely be as much or more, arguende. If so, then the number of Labour MPs in or after 2029 would surely be somewhere around 75.

Likewise, but even more striking, the Con vote in Caerphilly was around one-eighth of its previous level. Were that to happen in England and at a general election, the number of Con MPs would be around 15.

Turkey, in particular, registered growth in the mid-sections of the list; East Germany/DDR was fairly high until the 1980s, when it fell like a stone. West Germany was high, and indeed at the top even before it absorbed the Eastern part in the 1990s, and has been pre-eminent since then. The Soviet Union as a whole was the largest economy overall for some time, but fell back in the 1980s, after which Russia started to climb, despite missing the other former Soviet republics, and has for some time been one of the five strongest economies (overall), in the top five. The UK has been in the top five consistently.

Of course, were that graphic to be expressed per capita rather than in gross terms, the situation would look very different.

Even after the Art Deco era, America was pre-eminent in terms of confident presentation at least, until the 1960s. Look, e.g., at a film such as North by Northwest (1959), with its ambience of, inter alia, Modern Movement architecture, as well as, later in the film, the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright.

What has weakened Britain has been a combination of the migration-invasion, together with the changing demographics of the UK, the sliding standards in all areas of society, cultural degeneration, and the domination of the UK’s government, political life, courts, policing and mass media, inter alia, by the Israel lobby. My view is that it would be better to raise the threshold to at least the £20,000 level, but increase the tax burden of VAT (overall). True, that would hit poorer people disproportionately, but at the same time would put the choice into their hands, in fact into the hands of all consumers. Basic purchases, such as food, or basic foodstuffs, could be charged out at a lower rate or rates, or zero-rated.

Government needs tax monies in order to fund the functions of government.

That poll, by my use of Electoral Calculus, would result in a House of Commons with 454 Labour MPs (overall majority 258), 74 LibDems, 46 Cons, 34 Reform UK, 15 SNP, 4 Green (etc).

That People Polling opinion poll comes very close to my own (I hope, educated) guess about what might be the result of tomorrow’s General Election. Labour as “elected” (by default) dictatorship, LibDems the official but completely toothless Opposition (again only by default), and Reform UK in a good position to capitalize on what will soon be Labour’s total let-down as a government. Oh, and the SNP put back in its box, probably permanently.

As for the Conservative Party, if not totally wiped out on the day, mortally wounded.

I also tend to agree, as I have been blogging recently. “Shy Reform UK voters”, unwilling to share their tendency with pollsters, may add up to something significant, if they vote at all.

That means a House of Commons with 472 Labour MPs (overall majority 294), LibDems 69, Cons 63, SNP 15, Reform 6, Greens 3 (etc).

Once again, LibDems as official Opposition. About half the polls are predicting that the LibDems will get more MPs than the Cons. I imagine that large donors to the Conservative Party will close their pocketbooks soon. A party not in government and not even the main opposition party has little influence.

When the new restaurant/coffee shop next door opened along with another high street outlet opening across the street, Frank suddenly found that his license from the council had been revoked and he was chucked off his stand. I believe it was to make way for these new shops to take his regular custom. They didn’t need him in the way of gaining maximum profit… so Frank was gone.

Well the locals were having none of it and a petition started demanding his return. How dare they do this to him. How dare these people smash his business and leave him with nothing.

After a lot of pressure the council backed down and Frank had his licence and pitch returned to him but sadly by that time Frank had sold his equipment to feed his family and try to survive. So the good people of Bethnal Green started crowdfunding and here’s the result… Frank back in business on his old pitch with brand new equipment and even a little hut now to shelter him from the rain… Brilliant!!

He is truly the happiest man in East London and it’s wonderful to see. It really does show that if we all stick together, stand up to them and just say no… the little guy can win. If you’re in Bethnal Green come and have a coffee with this lovely man.“

Not an area I know (have been there a couple of times, 30-40 years ago), but if I am ever there, admittedly highly unlikely, I’ll take that coffee.

“A man has been convicted of strangling his wife while her online boyfriend was on a video link, and throwing her body hidden in a suitcase into a tributary of the River Thames.

Aminan Rahman, 46, was found guilty by a jury at the Old Bailey of murdering Suma Begum, 24, in a flat in east London on the night of 29 April last year.

The killing was witnessed by Begum’s two children, aged four months and two years, and her online boyfriend via a video call from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he was living.“
