Saturday quiz

Well, 9/10 this week, trumping John Rentoul’s 5 and a half. The only answer I definitely did not know was that to question no. 1. I admit that I “educated-guessed” several, though.

The 2024 Olympics

Not everyone was happy when the Olympic Games were resurrected from the vaults of classical history. Rudolf Steiner, for one, did not like the idea, the form it took and, I think, the aesthetics of what was re-invented.

The modern Games have little in common with what existed over 2,300 years ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olympic_Games#Ancient_Olympics.

The sports have varied over the years. Tug-o-War was once a recognized Olympic sport, for example, and I personally cannot accept several of the present-day sports as real sports. Synchronized swimming and equestrian dressage, to name but two.

To my mind, the main damage was done when the Olympic Games became a competition among nations rather than among individuals. I suppose that the idea was to mirror the original Games, in which Greek villages and city-states sent representative athletes.

The Games developed from an early amateur and folksy festival to a peak of aesthetics at the 1936 Games in Berlin, but since then the whole thing has become an international corporate Schauspiel with little reality.

That goes beyond even the decadence of the Weimar Republic. Can anyone doubt that there must be a cultural purge throughout the Western world?

Thick-as-two-short-planks “diversity hire” Lammy:

I don’t care if Lammy has half a dozen tick-box “degrees” or diplomas. I prefer to look at the real person. Just listen to that ignorant [REDACTED]…

Also, it is clear that Lammy cannot think on his feet. Perhaps that is why he never worked as a practising barrister. In fact, I think that he never was actually in practice at the Bar at all, just did a few months as a kind of “diversity”-hire gopher and/or intern at a law firm in California, then a year doing the same thing in London at a different firm. That year or two together constitute the only non-political work Lammy has ever done, when aged about 26, before he latched onto the old MP racket (like so many other useless wastes of space).

Exactly as I predicted would happen. Instead of a highly-visible armada of “small boats” across the Channel, UK “vetting centres” in mainland Europe will rubberstamp 90% of all applicants.

The rest will either be deterred or, more likely, will still try their luck at crossing illegally, but of course the visual and public relations impact will be diminished— 50 a day instead of 500, but with the other 450 coming in “legally”.

Straight treachery.

Starmer-Labour is a kind of bastard progeny of Blair’s trickery.

Incidentally, you can see there what a nest of evil exists in the “British” mainstream media (of which Talk TV would be part, if anyone actually watched it). Most scribblers and talking heads in this country are enemies of the future of the British people.

As noted many times previously, anyone silly enough to instruct Mark Lewis is to be pitied.

So two spiteful Jews may lose their homes for having made libellous comments claiming “antisemitism”? In the immortal words of Windsor Davies, “oh dear, what a pity, never mind“…

I suppose that the two Jews in question will recoup whatever they can by suing Mark Lewis… [please refer to the Windsor Davies comment above].

However, Lewis has no real property or other assets in the jurisdiction, and is based in the home of so many other frauds— Israel.

Something we see every day now in the UK. I myself have been prosecuted at the behest of the Jew-Zionist element for telling the truth. Still, I am still here, the blog is still here, and the truth is still being told.

Only the Aryan can give life.

Incidentally, that young tweeter, “@david_r_morgan” is well worth following, for those with a Twitter/X account (I myself was expelled in 2018, after a long campaign by Jew-Zionists).

Not sure that I agree that the policeman who kicked one compliant suspect in the head and then stamped on the suspect’s head did behave “appropriately“, bearing in mind that the suspect was still, was lying face down, and was presenting no risk.

That two-stage action, the kick and the stamping, can be separated from the main fight, because the recipient of the attacking police actions was effectively a prisoner and not fighting when he was kicked and stamped upon.

Of course it is easy to pass judgment after the event, but that is what has to happen— cool judgment later, whether in a court or tribunal, or in the court of public opinion.

I think that those were “flashbangs”, not grenades as such.

Where was Matt Goodwin when Jez Turner was imprisoned merely for saying that Jews should be deported from the UK? Where was Goodwin when Alison Chabloz was imprisoned for creating and posting a few amusing cartoons and songs about Jewish behaviour? Indeed, where was Goodwin when I was prosecuted last year for allegedly having posted “grossly offensive” remarks and cartoons on this blog? Nowhere, that’s where Goodwin (a strong supporter of Israel and the Jewish lobby) was…and is.

Diary Blog, 26 July 2024, including the latest news about the unprofessional behaviour of “Mark Lewis Lawyer”

CASE UPDATE: the Court has approved a costs order in my case. The court has awarded me 90% of my costs of c£140k. I am grateful to the Defendants for agreeing undertakings. The question now is whether the Defendants’ former solicitor Mark Lewis (@MLewisLawyer) helps the Defendants. If the messages between the Defendants are right, it seems Lewis advised that my claim “would be dismissed swiftly” and my strategy was “laughable”. If that was the advice, it was extremely poor and very costly. My view is that Lewis should do the decent thing and help pay my costs.

[James Wilson]

Ha ha! Lewis “doing the right thing“? Very unlikely… I expect that the surviving defendants, Cantor and Mendelsohn, will eventually have to take action against Lewis (and the small law firm with which he is associated in London) in professional negligence or otherwise. The matter may also result, eventually, in Lewis appearing (again) before the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal. We shall see.

As I remarked in earlier blog posts around this matter, James Wilson strikes me as being far too “nice” to that (((pack))).

Incidentally, it has been repeatedly stated, from the Bench, in English courts that “antisemitism”, as such, is not a crime in England (neither, by the way, is so-called “holocaust” “denial”, meaning historical revision or revisionism).

The same msm “lack of interest” was around when, for example, Lewis was found guilty in the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal about 6 years ago. There was a cloak of silence in the mass media about Lewis even having been prosecuted in the matter, and that continued after he was found guilty. The “usual” (((influence))) in the “British” Press, of course.

Only alternative media outlets or small professional legal magazines carry such reports, usually: see, e.g., https://skwawkbox.org/2023/08/02/pro-israel-lawyer-lewis-heavily-criticised-by-judge-for-conduct-of-case/.

Israel-based solicitor Mark Lewis has been heavily criticised by Mr Justice Nicklin in a recent High Court judgement.

Lewis is known for acting for Rachel Riley against Mike Sivier and Laura Murray, and for John Ware against Jewish Voice for Labour and Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi.

Lewis also acted for the late Dr Pete Newbon – a director of the notorious so-called ‘Labour Against Antisemitism’ (LAAS) group who was repeatedly disciplined by his employers for his behaviour on social media and was being sued by another of his victims – in his libel claim against Michael Rosen after Rosen had complained about Newbon’s tweeted misuse of Rosen’s famous ‘Bear Hunt’ book to attack former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

In the recent case, Lewis came unstuck when he was acting for Richard Davidoff of ABC Estates, a lettings and leasehold management firm. Lewis was seeking a court order requiring Google to disclose the identities of people with gmail addresses who had left negative reviews about ABC Estates on Trustpilot. The evidence in support of the court order was two witness statement by Lewis. The judge described Lewis’ evidence in general as “nothing more than assertion” and “perfunctory, even desultory” and “simply not good enough” to justify making the court order.

Things then got much worse for Lewis. He had stated that the Trustpilot reviews were “false, fabricated statements which Unknown person(s) know are untrue”. The judge conducted some online research himself and found that one of the reviews was true and based on the findings of another court. The judge said it was:

a matter of very real concern that the Claimants put evidence before the Court, on an ex parte application, that was not true.

The judge did not require Lewis to provide an explanation for the evidence that was “seriously in error” and accepted that Lewis would not have knowingly misled the court. The judge’s explained Lewis’ evidence as being:

because he had simply failed to carry out sufficient (or any) research or to take adequate instructions from his clients.

The judge also stated that there had been a “significant failure” by Lewis to comply with the general obligation of full and frank disclosure. The judge refused all the applications and the escapade is likely to have costs Lewis’ clients tens of thousands of pounds. Perhaps Lewis’ claim against Michael Rosen would have ended in the same way?

Mr Justice Nicklin’s full judgment is available here, with comments about Lewis’s contribution from paragraph 84 onwards.

Mark Lewis is a former director of UK Lawyers for Israel (UKLFI) until his emigration to Israel and was involved in the relaunch of right-wing pro-Israel group Herut UK. UKLFI locked access to a YouTube video in which a panel discussed Lewis’s “very handy way of bankrupting organisations” the group considered to have done ‘wrong’. However, a transcript of the discussion is still available.

In 2018, Lewis was fined by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority for abusive speech on social media toward a young Labour-supporting critic and others. He responded to the judgment by accusing the SRA that:

faced with a choice between Holocaust denying neo-Nazis and a Jewish lawyer… It chose to side with the neo-Nazis.”

[Skwawkbox]

That was about yet another matter in which the often (and laughably-) described “top libel lawyer” behaved in an egregiously unprofessional matter.

The “Dr. Pete Newbon” mentioned in that piece was the third defendant in James Wilson’s case against the Jews Mendelsohn and Cantor. Newbon, a persistent and vicious social media troll, who had been disciplined by his employing university a number of times for his online and offline behaviour, committed suicide during the James Wilson legal case, having apparently deceived his, Newbon’s, wife about the fact that he was being sued, and about the reasons for that.

The funny thing is that, for years, the “British” mass media were quite content to puff Lewis (ludicrously inaccurately) as a so-called “top lawyer“, but I saw nothing in the mainstream Press about how, after having been found guilty in the Solicitors’ Disciplinary Tribunal in 2018, Lewis’s own Counsel begged for mercy for him in terms of the fine to be imposed, because, he said, Lewis had no assets at all except for his clothes, a private pension worth £70 a week, and a mobility scooter!

Even Lewis’s own specially-adapted car (driven by him until he had an accident in early 2018, caused by his physical and mental incapacity) had been supplied free of charge to him by the DWP, via the Motability scheme.

Top lawyer“… My view has always been that Lewis is just a self-promoting chancer.

Wilson being “too nice” again. Those two Jews (the defendants) were only too happy to look forward to Wilson losing his family home if he lost the case. He did not lose his case. Now they cringe and cry and “apologise”, because they are, to put it in the language of the New Testament, “in the same condemnation“. It’s all so (((typical))).

Incidentally, I think that Mr. Justice Nicklin also was “too nice”, in saying that he was sure that Lewis had not intended to mislead the court in that 2023 High Court ex parte injunction application.

Having said that, the learned High Court judge did (though in other, and far more diplomatic, words) characterize Lewis as (in my words) a lazy, negligent bastard.

Lewis’s negligence is simply risible. God help anyone silly enough to retain or instruct him as solicitor.

My blog posts about Lewis from years ago (but updated) can be found here: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/11/update-re-mark-lewis-lawyer-questions-are-raised/; that post contains several links to other posts about the horrible bastard.

As to James Wilson’s matter, I have already blogged about it this year: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2024/04/21/diary-blog-21-april-2024-with-more-about-the-legal-case-wilson-v-mendelsohn-newbon-and-cantor/; and https://ianrobertmillard.org/2024/04/20/diary-blog-20-april-2024/.

More can be found using the search box on the blog.

In Wilson’s case, a number of Jews gave purported “evidence” for the defence, which testimony however the judge dismissed in polite but firm terms. They are all named and shamed on one of my previous blog posts.

One of that pack was the vituperative Jew-Zionist barrister and (until he was kicked off the Bench very recently) Recorder (p/t judge) Simon Myerson. His testimony was, to put it politely, given little weight by the learned judge.

Indeed, Myerson now seems again to be in trouble. He now not being on the Bench, the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office is not involved (this time— last time, he was given “words of advice”, i.e. mildly admonished); the Bar Standards Board, though, now seems, belatedly, to be taking an interest:

I shall watch any further developments with interest.

Twitter-twits have responded angrily, blaming Isabel Oakeshott or her personal partner, Tice, of Reform UK, or Farage, for the gradual descent of Britain into the swamp. A woman journalist, and two fairly minor politicians…

No, the major cause is the half century and more of mass immigration, which over the past 25 years has become a full migration invasion. Millions of mostly quite, or very, backward non-Europeans. That, and the decline of real culture and society in the UK. I know where I place the blame for most of that (the bit not caused by migration-invasion)… The “you-know-who” element.

Ha ha. I rather like Isabel Oakeshott. She has spirit.

Goodwin is right, but he fails to note that the primary group (or cabal, if you like) trying to repress freedom of expression in UK universities and elsewhere, including online, is the Jew-Zionist element, most egregiously seen, arguably, in the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”.

Patriotic Alternative

I happened to see the following statement put out by Patriotic Alternative, which I partly republish out of a spirit of comity, and despite not being a member of PA:

This week we received the SHOCKING news that Sam Melia had been DENIED early release by the prison service! At a time when prisons are overflowing and the judiciary are routinely handing out suspended sentences to convicted sex offenders – Sam Melia, a man who published LAWFUL stickers, has been denied early release!

This is the latest in a string of miscarriages of justice aimed at breaking the spirit of Sam and his family. At this point, only one conclusion can be drawn: this is politically motivated persecution which is aimed at Sam due to his system of philosophical beliefs – a protected characteristic under European Human Rights legislation!

[Patriotic Alternative]

It will be recalled that Sam Melia was imprisoned for a notional 2 years in March of this year, meaning that he could expect release around 1 March 2025. However, earlier release, which has been granted to all sorts of hooligans and thieves etc by reason of prison overcrowding, has been denied to Melia.

Very unjust, bearing in mind the essentially trivial “crime” for which he was imprisoned; also, he has a wife and two small children (one only born this year and since Melia’s incarceration).

A crowdfunder set up for Melia, his wife (Laura Towler) and children now stands at over £67,000: https://www.givesendgo.com/sammelia.

How long before Starmer-Labour introduces similar measures in the UK? The justification will be something similar to that in the cartoon below.

The two aspects mentioned are a convenient “go-to”.

Those who question the System narrative, or suggest an alternative and/or better way forward for society, are often already “criminalized”, usually at the behest of the “usual suspects” (((“them”))).

“Labour” is now just a label, as is “Conservative”, “Liberal Democrat”, and “Green”.

[Lincoln’s Inn, under the Chapel]

London. Zoo.

Barwell, you idiot. Your views come close to treachery. In fact, I believe that they do constitute treachery, treachery in particular to the remaining real English people not only of London but of all England.

Like many another, I voted with my feet long ago, and now prefer to avoid London. See https://ianrobertmillard.org/2022/06/30/diary-blog-30-june-2022-including-impressions-of-a-trip-to-dystopian-london/ and https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/02/04/white-flight-in-a-small-country/.

Incidentally, I see that Barwell’s cretinous tweet has been seen by well over 2 million people, yet has been “liked” by only 2,000— one in every thousand. Barwell’s views may be mainstream in the Westminster monkeyhouse and in the System msm, but in the rest of the country his opinions are those of a small and wrongheaded minority.

Barwell really takes the biscuit for deliberately-obtuse failure to see what is right in front of him— the destruction of the social fabric of London (and the UK) by reason of mass immigration and its consequences.

Even if Barwell’s narrow point is true, and Charlotte Gill does not like “living in a diverse community” (read “a crime-ridden multikulti swamp”), so what? That is her choice or preference (and a good one too).

If Barwell is typical of many of the “Conservative” Party officials and politicians, then its near-collapse is far from hard to understand.

Jungle.

We know what needs to be done about this sort of thing, but are now “not allowed” to express it, in our wonderfully “liberal” “diverse” country…

Ha.

Thick-as-two-short-planks Lammy as Foreign Secretary just confirms how deep in the mire the UK really is.

I saw another tweet from that Barwell idiot:

Barwell’s knowledge of history is notable for its wrongheadedness. He is a know-nothing.

Sadly, tweeter “@Pauline51734996” also seems to know not so much about modern history, bearing in mind that WW2 is precisely why Britain was “bled dry“, the British people beggared for a decade after the “victory” of 1945 (some rationing in the UK lasted until 1955). “Pauline”, however, does not hold herself out as being capable of expert socio-political commentary, unlike Barwell.

Is Barwell aware that the Kiev regime is egregiously brutal, shambolic, corrupt, and tyrannical? No trade unions, no free press, no real opposition parties, no free speech (etc)? Press-gangs to force the many unwillingly into uniform? Those who have not managed to flee beyond the borders, that is. In fact, the Jew Zelensky is presently ruling illegally, having decided to ignore the fact that his presidential term expired some time ago (and he now refuses to hold an election).

Talking point

The world is not without kind people [Russian proverb]

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13658549/pictured-family-killed-horror-crash-six-dead-west-yorkshire.html

A newspaper report about a young girl orphaned when her parents, as well as her two sisters, were killed on the road, it seems because an idiot was riding a motorbike on the wrong side of the highway, and at what must have been a tremendous speed.

The GoFundMe appeal set up for the orphaned girl (and publicized by that Daily Mirror report) had an initial goal of £3,000. It made that within an hour or two. The fund now stands, at time of writing, at nearly £250,000, on only the second day. It still increases. Enough to set the child up in life in every way.

https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-for-poppie

My point is that there is so much bad news, news about poor or even evil behaviour by people, that that often leads us to forget the immense power of goodness that also exists in the world.

That GoFundMe appeal has had a few large donations (£1,000, even £5,000), but much of the quarter-million pounds so far donated has been in smaller sums— £5, £10, £20. As someone once put it, discussing the Parable of the Widow’s Mite in the New Testament, “the radiation of the small coins“…

Heartening.

[Incidentally, it occurs to me that the orphaned girl will probably, presumably, eventually, be the beneficiary of any car insurance payout as well].

…once I had finally left the stifling climate on campus I became truly aware of how us Zoomers have been completely screwed over by the mainstream system. My parents, for example, were married, with one child, and onto their second property at the same age that I am now, despite not coming from any kind of wealth at all.

But the reality, today, for Zoomers like me, is that I will likely never be able to afford my own house, nor will I ever be able to pay off my university debt faster than the interest on it grows. Almost half of my monthly salary now goes on rent, meaning it is virtually impossible for me to save any money at all.

There is a listlessness that my peers and I feel – that I think is borne from the fact that we simply do not ‘own’ anything, nor can we put roots down anywhere. We are neither the ‘Somewheres’ nor ‘Anywheres’ British writer David Goodhart talks about; we have neither the means to join the Somewheres by putting down roots nor the desire to join the continually mobile, hyper-liberal Anywheres who eschew these roots for a sort of hedonistic, bohemian, and hyper-individualistic ‘life’. We are simply trapped.

[from https://www.mattgoodwin.org/p/anonymous-zoomer-i-was-indoctrinated].

Perfect recruits for a social-national upsurge in the near-future…

…and meanwhile, the “British” Government, egged on by the organized UK Jewish lobby, defends the Gaza cruelties.

I was unaware that Myerson had “resigned” (been kicked out, in my opinion) as a Recorder (p/t judge), albeit under the fig-leaf of having “resigned”, of course. His continuing toxic social media output made it almost inevitable. Someone such as Myerson should never sit in judgment over others. Unfit.

It seems that the judicial career of pro-Israeli judge Simon Myerson KC may be over, or at least stalled. Skwawkbox understands that Mr Myerson ceased to hold judicial office in early July 2024. It is unclear whether he resigned or was forced out after failing to curb his controversial behaviour on X/Twitter.

Myerson, a founder signatory of the anti-left so-called ‘Labour against Antisemitism’ (LAAS) group who was a ‘Recorder’ judge and has denied that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, was disciplined by the Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice in March after engaging in politically controversial issues in an offensive manner. The senior judges found that he had failed to maintain the standards of his judicial office.

Asked to comment on the case, a barrister who has worked with Myerson said:

Myerson’s conduct on social media has been very poor. Judges are supposed to ensure that their conduct, both in and out of court, maintains and enhances the public confidence in the judiciary. Myerson is consistently rude and patronising to people on social media and it reflects badly on the judiciary. I suspect a lot of judges will be glad to see him go because his conduct was becoming an embarrassment.”

[Skwawkbox]

Stalled“? No. Myerson is finished as far as the Bench is concerned. He should never have even been considered for such appointment.

Incidentally, Myerson is or was a leading light of a “charity” bringing Afghans to the UK. Typical.

This is what Myerson and his type are defending— Israeli war crimes.

No wonder that the msm drones (BBC or other) are so careful always to parrot System propaganda (whether Israel-lobby/Jewish-lobby propaganda, “Covid” scamdemic/panicdemic propaganda, multikulti society propaganda, or whatever else). One wrong move and they are “cancelled”, so losing out hugely in money terms.

An extreme view but understandable when animal abuse is uncovered, as in the case of Charlotte Dujardin (of whom I had never heard until this evening).

Most racehorses are treated very well, and I am sure that that is true of showjumping as well, though I have had only occasional contact with the latter.

I trust that Charlotte Dujardin , the Queen of Team GB’s dressage team ( she has 3 Olympic gold medals) is banned for much longer than the provisional 6 months over a video showing her whipping her horse’s legs repeatedly so the animal performs to her liking. Makes you wonder what other cruelty she may have visited on her horses over the years. The incident was filmed four years ago in the UK at an educational establishment. It shows Dujardin , 39, hitting the horse on its legs during a piaffe- a slow trot. Another rider was on the horse. Why didn’t the other rider report Dujardin to the authorities straight away? Whoever was the whistleblower was clearly worried about the Dujardin reaction as they leaked it through a lawyer in Holland The International Federation of Equestrian Sports was sent the video yesterday and provisionally banned Dujardin, 39, for six months. With luck she will be kicked out completely. Dujardin then issued some mealy mouthed statement saying she had made an error of judgment. You mean you were caught. Very grateful to the whistleblower. Without him or her Dujardin may well have been carrying the flag at the opening of the Olympics as our most important athlete.

[Kelvin MacKenzie]

When I find myself in agreement with Kelvin MacKenzie, the world has certainly changed…

On the wider point, it seems to me that the whole Olympic circus is now no longer useful, let alone interesting.

Starmer-Labour is a kind of “elected” dictatorship, as well as being a basically Jewish/Zionist “project” (cf. “Blairism”). It was “elected” under a system of voting used by few other countries.

In rough terms, Starmer-Labour was voted for by only 4 out of every 12 people that voted, and out of every 20 of those eligible to vote. Its mandate is very weak.

[out of every 20 eligible voters, 8 chose not to vote at all, 4 voted for Starmer-Labour, 3 voted Conservative, 2 voted Reform UK, 2 voted LibDem, and 1 voted Green: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_United_Kingdom_general_election#Full_results].

You see so many unthinking tweeters such as “@1aisTro11sBots”, who imagine that the headline result of GE 2024 reflects socio-political reality. No, it reflects an unfair and stupid voting system.

In a more restrained way, the same or similar msm puffery in the UK enabled Keir Starmer to appear solid and competent. Hardy ha ha…

Even if so, no more dishonest than the Cameron-Levita/Osborne Con government of 2010-2015 laying the blame for the world banking crash and the UK’s slide into decline on the British poor, unemployed, sick, and disabled. The whole Cameron-Levita “austerity” nonsense.

We have a sick political and mass media system.

ps. why is there no law prohibiting MPs from being called “Darren”? (only joking).

The United States, like the UK, has experienced since the 1980s a decline in the quality of its politicians which is still continuing.

“…In fact, I’d go even further by stating the obvious. Kamala Harris, in reality, is only Vice President of the United States because she happens to tick the relevant identity boxes that according to the modern left need to be ticked. Woman? Tick. African American? Tick. She has basically benefitted from a system that is now hard-wired to promote certain identity groups over others, based on little more than these boxes.”

[Matt Goodwin]

…and the UK is going much the same way.

I am thinking that Kamala Harris will be replaced by another candidate. If so, it will have to happen soon.

Either way, I should imagine that Trump is likely to win now, though you never know.

Not so much “New Labour New Danger” as a rehash of the “Conservative” fake “austerity” agenda.

The new Starmer-Labour government is already a total failure and fraud, only 2-3 weeks since its equally-fake “landslide” (only 33.7% even of those who voted).

As noted before on the blog, out of every 20 eligible voters, only 4 voted Labour (3 voted Con, 2 voted Reform UK, 2 voted LibDem, and 1 voted Green. 8 did not vote).

The new justice secretary, Shabana Mahmood, said Pitcher was “unfit to fulfil her duties” and that she was seeking her removal in light of the findings. It is understood that she made her position clear to Pitcher on Thursday morning in the hope that she would resign.

But Pitcher said she was the “best person” for the job and that she had no intention of standing down.

James Burley, who led Appeal’s investigation into Malkinson’s case, said the report was “utterly damning” and detailed “a catalogue of failures by the CCRC”.

He said: “No one can doubt now that the CCRC is a broken safety net which sets the bar unreasonably high for innocent prisoners trying to clear their names. The CCRC must be completely overhauled.”

[The Guardian]

[Helen Pitcher, useless “quangocrat”]

I had never heard of Helen Pitcher, so I looked her up online: https://www.legalwomen.org.uk/helenpitcher.html.

Helen Pitcher OBE Chair of the Judicial Appointments Commission talked to Bhini Phagura from Raydens solicitors about her career.

Tell us about your career progression which led to your appointment as the Chair of the Judicial Appointments Commission:

I studied law at QMC London and used this degree as a basis for a career in commerce, where I rapidly progressed up the ranks to become an Executive and Divisional Director in Grand Metropolitan. I retained a footprint in the law in various roles related to Standards, Fairness, Equity and Diversity.

Well…wouldn’t you just know it?

There’s more:

The first role I held in parallel to my Commercial career was as a lay representative of the Professional Conduct and Complaints Committee of the Bar Council.” [now split into the Bar Standards Board and the Bar Disciplinary Tribunal].

Yes, there is usually at least one useless woman of this sort sitting (well-paid, too), but doing nothing, when a Bar Disciplinary Tribunal sits. In 5-person tribunal cases (as mine was, in fact wrongly— it should have been a 3-person tribunal, which has no power to disbar) there are usually two such women (they always seem to be women, as on benches of lay magistrates), invariably a pair of unsmiling and stupid “bookends”. Useless box-tickers. See also https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/.

I also became a lay representative on the Employment Appeal Tribunal and still hold this office.

I then joined the Queens Counsel (as it was then) Selection Panel and rapidly became its chair. Whilst there we improved the Diversity Statistics.

Again the “diversity statistics“… Why am I not at all surprised?

I held this role for 9 years. On stepping down, I decided not to apply for another role as I also had a burgeoning Consultancy and Portfolio Career. About 18 months later, however, an advertisement for the role of the Chair of the CCRC (Criminal Cases Review Commission) was brought to my attention.

Last year the role of Chairman at the JAC (Judicial Appointments Commission) became available. A Headhunter contacted me having uncovered my background on LinkedIn. I checked with the MoJ that there was no conflict of interest and submitted my application. On December 31st following a Justice Select Committee earlier in the month, I was appointed and took up the post on January 16th [2023].”

My role as chair involves leading the Board, ensuring appropriate oversight on governance and providing appropriate challenge and support to the executive. I am also involved in some of the most senior appointments.

I have rationalised my portfolio (which was a Commitment I gave to the JSC) in order to ensure I have the appropriate amount of time to devote to this key role.

You are holding this role for 3 years from January 2023, what are your aims/goals?

The strategic aims were already set, however they are due for a refresh as the period they covered draws to a close. These aims, which are developed in conjunction with the Board and executive, are on our website and thus in the public domain.

Our primary purpose set out by statute is to recruit on merit, our secondary (and no less important role) is to assist the rest of the judicial system to increase the diversity pool. It is for this reason that I also chair the Judicial Diversity Forum, which has a clear action plan to achieve its aims.”

So the secondary role is as important as the primary one? How muddled and wrongheaded is the stupid woman?

[Legal Women (online-only) magazine]

The interview is rather badly written, unfortunately, with superfluous upper-case here and there; as can be seen, it is the product of an Indian woman.

Well, there we have it. That greedy and plainly incompetent Pitcher woman has made a whole career, and no doubt a very lucrative one, out of “diversity”, tokenism etc. First of all, in her own person, by being a “token woman”, or one token woman, on commercial and quango boards. Secondly, by being a Trojan horse for more “diversity” and “inclusion” (etc) in important public offices.

Helen Pitcher, who seems to me to be a useless “diversity” box-ticker, has, inter alia, sat in the seat of judgment over employment appeal cases, over the cases of supposedly defaulting barristers etc, and has even been (and apparently still is) the head of the body which appoints judges, including those at the highest level.

cf. Paula Vennells [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paula_Vennells] and Dido Harding [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dido_Harding] and many many others.

Helen Pitcher is, at time of writing, doing, and of course getting paid for doing, several different jobs simultaneously. She is probably making between half a million and a million pounds a year. For what? Ruining various bodies? Ticking various “diversity” and “anti-racism” boxes? Shoving our society further into the mire?

Look at how Helen Pitcher is clinging on to her CCRC role, presumably in order to maximize the money she gets before she is forced out. At least, that seems to me to be her motivation. Very telling, if so.

This latest scandal, including Helen Pitcher’s “march through the institutions”, is so typical of the way in which things generally have been allowed to develop in the UK in the past 30+ years.

You can see the way the UK is going, at least partly because of stupid and over-promoted women such as Helen Pitcher (and, yes, also men, not infrequently)— straight down.

God knows what state this country will be in in 2029 or 2034, let alone 2054 (which last I shall not have to witness, thank God, not from the Earth plane anyway).

Andrew Malkinson calls miscarriage of justice watchdog’s ex-head ‘shameless’

Helen Pitcher resigned from the CCRC saying she had been ‘scapegoated’ over Malkinson’s case

Emily DuganTue 14 Jan 2025 19.51 GMTShare

Andrew Malkinson has called the former head of the miscarriage of justice watchdog “shameless” as she resigned from the job saying she had been “scapegoated for entirely legitimate decisions” taken over his case.

Helen Pitcher handed in her resignation as chair of the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) on Tuesday afternoon after learning that an independent panel had concluded by a majority of two to one that she was no longer fit to be chair.

In a letter to the justice secretary she said she felt that she had been chosen as a “scapegoat at an early stage” for the Malkinson case and that “a head had to roll and I was chosen for that role”.

Malkinson said: “Helen Pitcher’s attempt to portray herself as the victim here is shameless.

The Guardian revealed that Pitcher had been in Montenegro promoting her property business in the weeks after Malkinson’s conviction was overturned and the organisation was in crisis after its failure to apologise to him.

[Guardian]].

Her property business” (as well as all the rest)?

Helen Pitcher thus managed to blag another 6-7 months’ pay and expenses, and pension contributions, when she should have resigned in mid or early 2024.

Shameless” indeed, the horrible and avaricious old hag.

Summary of the Israeli strike according to what is known so far: – Approximately 25 F-15 and F-35 aircraft, accompanied by refueling planes, flew about 2000 kilometers toward the city of Hodeidah in Yemen.

– The strike was carried out in 8 waves.

-The attack destroyed fuel depots, inflicted damage on the port, and destroyed a power station north of the port.

– The fire is still burning and is expected to continue for several more days.

– There is a power outage across the entire region.

– The message of the strike is clear: this is not a strike on military targets (which has been done by the coalition over the past 9 months) but an attack on the already struggling Yemeni economy, causing significant economic damage.

– The attack on the port is a direct response to the damage Yemenis have caused to the port of Eilat.

– The message to the rest of the Middle East is also clear: the Bandar Abbas port and the Kharg Island, from where most of Iran’s oil is exported, are in Israel’s sights, as well as the port of Beirut.

– Israel has decided to take off the gloves; this is not a minor strike like those in Iran.

– The Houthis are threatening to retaliate, but it is unclear what the threat entails, as they have already attacked Israel 200 times.”

Middle East, Ukraine, Eastern Europe, Far East. All now under threat of major regional wars.

Ukraine lines are collapsing. After 380 billions of aid pledged to Ukraine since the war begin; 118 billion are direct military aid; many countries literally emptied out entire inventory countless military units to give their weapons to Ukraine. Ukraine is STILL losing grounds everyday. Lost 5 towns in the past 48hrs. The fortress city of Krasnohorivka is falling as we speak; Russia threatens cut the Oskil Frontlines in half with the likely capture of Pishchane. Still not collapsing? This is not collapse of frontlines, then what is?

Back to the UK tomorrow. I’ve never had such dread about Britain. Coming back to London and knowing how unpleasant it’ll be. The demographic changes and feeling that [the UK] is most against Brits. The lack of functional media. The feeling something big has to happen to restore order.

[Charlotte Gill]

Plenty of Twitter-twits replying to all that and saying how wonderful London still (?) is, but I lived in (mostly) Central or near-Central London, on and off, for 22 years (1976 to 1998, though spending also many years either elsewhere in the country or overseas), and I should not want to live there today: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2022/06/30/diary-blog-30-june-2022-including-impressions-of-a-trip-to-dystopian-london/.

I have not been to London since that brief visit in 2022, and am glad of it. I no longer have the Rolex watches I had 25+ years ago (or want them, or need them, or can afford them) but, if I did, I think that they would not stay on my wrist very long in the London of 2024.

Why can people who should know better not accept the truth that is in front of their eyes? In a word, deluded.

One aspect of London that seems to have radically improved in recent years, though, is the public transport network. New lines, new trains, new ways of travelling around the conurbation. Crossrail/Elizabeth Line for one. I do not speak, however, from personal experience of the new lines, just from what I have read online.

Well over 20 years ago, in 2000, I happened to meet and get to know (somewhat), in Bournemouth, a young blonde woman (20 or so) I first encountered in a photography shop, and who was very proud of her father, vice-Chancellor of (if I remember aright) Lancaster University. She talked about him rather a lot, and thus I learned that (again, if I remember aright) his salary was over £200,000 a year, which would be pretty good even today, by most people’s standards. In fact, the Bank of England online calculator shows that you could almost double that in today’s money. So today— maybe £400,000.

The tertiary educational sector in the UK has been a kind of “rotten borough” for a long time. At least 30 years.

Matt Goodwin

I notice that the “alt-Right” (?) academic and commentator, Matt Goodwin, has retweeted a tweet about the UNRWA by the malicious and publicity-seeking Jew-Zionist org, “Campaign Against Antisemitism”. Foolish. The credibility of that malicious cabal is shot; even most pro-Israel Jews are against its activities and behaviour. By retweeting the “CAA”, Goodwin risks his own credibility too.

I agree with that. Michelle Obama? Maybe not so easily defeated. All the blacks would vote for her, for a start.

If anyone other than Trump takes on the U.S. Presidency, the Americans will be staring civil war in the face. The rest of the world (as well as the USA) will be staring at, quite likely, a world war, starting (like the first two “world” wars) in Europe.

An omen.

From the newspapers

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/article/2024/jul/18/keir-starmer-says-he-is-open-to-processing-asylum-seekers-offshore

Keir Starmer is looking into plans to process asylum seekers outside the UK as part of a rethink of the government’s immigration policies, even as a returns agreement with the EU appears more distant than ever.

The prime minister said on Thursday he was open to the idea of Britain processing claims offshore, after a day spent discussing illegal migration with fellow European leaders at Blenheim Palace. Those talks, as part of the European Political Community summit, included a meeting with Edi Rama, the Albanian prime minister, whose country processes asylum claims on behalf of Italy.

But he said a deal to return refused asylum seekers to the EU was low on his list of priorities, as the French president, Emmanuel Macron, warned his country was not willing to shoulder the additional burden.

But look, I’m a practical person. I’m a pragmatist. And I’ve always said we’ll look at what works and where cases can be processed closer to origin, then that is something which of course ought to be looked at.”

[The Guardian]

As I have been predicting for many months on the blog, Starmer will “solve” the “small boats” migration invasion, meaning get it off the TV news agenda, by simply “processing” the applications of the invaders long before they reach the UK, whether that be in France, in Albania, in Italy, or even in Africa.

“Processing” will mean, in this context, rubberstamping 90% or more of the applications. Probably more, looking at how about 80% of the applications of the present wave of invaders are eventually approved once they land in the UK (and the rest not deported anyway).

What about those, the small minority no doubt, who apply for asylum in those extra-territorial processing centres or offices but are refused? Is Starmer pretending that they will be content to stay in, or return to, their native countries? Of course they will not. They will simply make their way to the English Channel and then try to cross it.

If you import populations from the more backward parts of the world, in sufficient quantity, your own society becomes backward and/or degenerate.

Why are they even here?

Please refer to the last few comments.

That made me laugh, which is something…I mean both the comment by tweeter “@TexanGhost” and Dawn Butler’s brainless tweet.

Only one thing can save Western culture and civilization, and the root-stock on which they both depend— social nationalism, and a consequent “revaluation of all values”.

Mirabile dictu! Former-MP and Israel-puppet Largan has said something with which I can agree.

I have noted in the past on the blog the inadequacy of so many post-1945 public buildings in the UK, for example the court buildings in both London and the provinces. Some are OK, or even impressive, but more are not. Compare them to most of the American court buildings, such as the Federal court building in Trenton, New Jersey, where I was, several times, over 30 years ago:

[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarkson_S._Fisher_Federal_Building_and_United_States_Courthouse Trenton, New Jersey; the sentry box is, I think, since 1992 when I was last there; presumably an example of the increase in “security” in the USA since those relatively innocent days]

Not the world’s most beautiful building, but very solid and impressive (and the interior is, in my view, even more impressive).

Ah…. just saw (for the first time), the New Jersey (i.e. State, not Federal) justice building, also in Trenton:

So ugly, one is prompted to speculate, “Britischer Architekt?” Still, quite large and impressive at least.

I see that that 1980s building is named after a former Governor of the state, who was also at one time Chief Justice of New Jersey: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_J._Hughes_Justice_Complex#Dedication. I was very slightly acquainted with one of his sons, who himself became a Federal magistrate in 1991, a year or two after I was introduced to him; I met him again, en passant, a few times, in the years 1989-1991: https://www.pli.edu/faculty/hon.-john-j.-hughes-i1305491. He was all right, but not the most social person in the world, to be frank. Not sure that I would have liked to have been a defendant in his court…

Well, amazing. A second tweet of Largan that I like. Two in one day. Amazing.

If those poetic lines are original, from Largan himself, then he has a poetic sophistication, though not unflawed, at which I should not have guessed, to be frank.

Even if that were not so, the ban is obviously the right thing to do, whatever the collateral damage.

Defund Zelensky and his cabal. The war will then continue for only a few weeks in most areas.

Trump

Trump looking presidential, in a way that he rarely did even when he was President before.

If he can survive the campaign and get re-elected, his personal history, and his personal flaws, can take a back seat. He can stop funding Zelensky and the whole Kiev regime. That can be his first task.

Trump may be in a position, if or when re-elected, to call a halt to the rush to world war. That is the issue of primary importance.

From the newspapers

https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/24453094.warrant-issued-barge-asylum-seeker-bit-police-officer/

An arrest warrant has been issued for an asylum seeker who tried to bring cannabis onto the Bibby Stockholm barge and then bit a police officer when he was being arrested.

Kenson Noel, aged 29, pleaded guilty at Weymouth Magistrates Court on June 7 to possession of a class B drug and assault by beating of Portland Port Police officer Christopher Grant.

The charges relate to an incident on May 16, 2024.

He was due to be sentenced today at Poole Magistrates Court but did not appear.

This triggered a warrant for his arrest to be issued by the court.

The court previously heard that Noel, whose address was given as a hotel in Bournemouth, is an asylum seeker who fled Trinidad and Tobago after being threatened by gangs.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-13635989/lost-alphabet-Biblical-Canaanites-jordan.html

Archaeologists have finally traced a lost alphabet that puzzled scholars for decades back to a 3,000 year-old civilization of Biblical significance.

Since 1964, archaeologists have found 15 different tablets with strange carvings at the site of an ancient settlement in Jordan.

Thanks to new analysis, archaeologists have found that they were likely made by the Canaanites, an indigenous group who thrived in the Middle East until the second half of the 13th century BC.

The Canaanites resided in ‘the Promised Land’ from 3500BC until 1200BC before they were conquered by Israeli tribes following their Exodus from Egypt.

The Canaanites are mentioned several times in the old testament, including the books of Genesis, Leviticus, Deuteronomy and Joshua.

Federal Judge Aileen Cannon has dismissed the classified documents case against Donald Trump in a bombshell ruling less than 48 hours after the former president was shot at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Trump was accused of taking highly sensitive national security documents to his Mar-a-Lago estate when he left the White House, and FBI agents seized a trove of material during a search of his Florida home in August 2022.

Judge Cannon threw the case out based on ‘violations’ of the Constitution’s Appointments and Appropriations clauses.

In her ruling, she found that the appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith was unconstitutional.

The decision has an enormous impact on Trump’s legal battles, and he now faces just two criminal trials in Georgia and the federal court in Washington D.C.

A year ago, Trump’s classified documents case appeared to be his most serious legal threat: perhaps easier to prove than Trump’s January 6 case, which relied on public statements, tweets and complex schemes involving electors around the country to charge a complex conspiracy to overturn the election.

Fuck it. I’m just gonna come out and say it. After a lot of thought, I am now 100% behind Donald Trump for President. Let me explain my reasoning…

Trump fell short in many ways in his first term. He was weaker than he should have been on the border. He appointed people to his cabinet that frankly stained his image and sunk his reputation. He let us down with the vaccines and Operation Warp Speed. But it’s about more than Donald Trump. It’s always been about more than Trump.

He has awakened the sleeping giant in America and across the world. People have hit breaking point. And they are sick to the back teeth of the status quo. For all my reservations, I do believe at heart his intentions are mostly good. Compare and contrast him to a demented old man who doesn’t remember what he had for breakfast.

What happened on Saturday night pushed me over the edge. They have tried everything to stop this man. Impeachment, election rigging, lawfare and now an attempted assassination in broad daylight. It’s not about trying to stop Trump. It’s about trying to stop a populist uprising.

In these times we can’t be picky. Trump isn’t going to fix all our problems. Trump isn’t going to save the world. We are living through a time of pure evil, the likes of which only God can protect us from. But we have to rebuild, we have to reorganise. We all have differences of opinion on various issues but ultimately we all see the evil in this world and we all want to make a change. And I believe the best start to that work is to get behind Donald Trump and use our influence to push for the change we want to see.”

…and virtually all the children now being born in the UK, and particularly in England, are non-white (including mixed-race). Demographic disaster.

Let’s bin all “diversity hires”, starting with David Lammy, presently and ludicrously posing as Foreign Secretary.

Ha ha…yes, but the joke is on us…

The System promotes idiots like that, making sure that they can wave a few bits of paper (tick-box degrees, diplomas etc) if challenged, as a way of accelerating the destruction of European civilization.

Even the System msm cannot ignore the migration invasion completely, because the public has started to awaken and, indeed, become fearful of what is happening, and what might and probably will happen not so far down the road.

The Twitter-twits, and the System politicians, have been laughing at the Reform UK result at GE 2024 (“only 5 MPs” etc), but the underlying reality is that, out of nearly 29M actual votes, Reform UK got over 4.1M, the Conservative Party only 6.8M, and victorious Labour 9.8M.

Labour received under 10M votes, and has 411 MPs, despite only getting about (indeed, less than) two-and-a-half times the number of votes cast for Reform UK, fobbed off with merely 5 MPs.

As noted in previous blog posts, for every 20 people who were eligible to vote at GE 2024, a plurality, 8 people, did not bother to vote, probably because they were disenchanted with the whole set-up.

Out of that group of 20 people, only 4 actually voted Labour.

Another 3 out of the 20 voted Conservative; 2 voted Reform UK. 2 also voted LibDem (which however received only 3.5M votes as against Reform’s 4.1M). (Almost) 1 notional voter out of the 20 voted Green, which party received 1.8M votes.

The point is that Reform UK is, at least in part, “controlled opposition” but, notwithstanding that, over 4 million people decided to register their anger by voting for it. Another 19.6 million did not vote.

It is possible that, were a credible social-national movement to exist, a substantial part of the 19.6M non-voting bloc, as well as a large part of Reform UK’s 4.1M bloc, might vote for, or otherwise support it.

Remember, out of every 20 adult people in the UK, only 4 voted for Starmer-Labour.

Starmer-Labour has no real mandate from the people.

Talking point

Happened to see part of one of those fly-on-the-wall cop shows, called Police Interceptors. The bit I saw concerned a raid on a house where a man was thought to be trading in drugs.

The police arrived in force, were ready to bust open the front door but found it unlocked, so went in and took control of the property. The man named on the warrant was not at home, but his wife/girlfriend/whatever was, along with her small and terrified children.

In the kitchen, the police found large bags stuffed with herbal cannabis, apparently harvested from the marijuana farm in the attic, which the police also found. They also found little plastic bags used for retail sales of the drug.

The woman was arrested only because the wanted man refused to give himself up, but was in touch with the woman by telephone, under police guard, and was apparently nearby. He gave himself up a few days later.

What interested me was that I should have thought that there was ample evidence to prosecute them both for “possession with intent to supply”, but in the end the woman was released (I was distracted so missed the exact outcome, I think an official caution), and her husband/boyfriend/co-habitee was apparently not charged with anything!

A big raid, the police all dressed up in the paramilitary style to which they have become accustomed, warrants obtained, searches made, drugs found, arrests made and, in the end…nothing.

The police and CPS need to start dealing with (real) crime, rather than snooping on tweets and blog posts and generally behaving like a poundland Stasi.

Neither have other Jewish and/or Israeli news outlets: https://www.israelhayom.com/2024/07/14/more-details-emerge-on-trump-shooters-background/; https://www.jns.org/thomas-matthew-crooks-20-idd-as-trump-shooter/.

Neither does Al Jazeera say anything about any Jewish connection, so there may not be one. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/7/14/what-we-know-about-thomas-matthew-crooks-the-suspected-trump-rally-shooter

The Guardian:

Demands for answers were mounting on Sunday as to how an armed man was able to get into position on a roof overlooking a rally and fire shots at Donald Trump – the 2024 presumptive Republican nominee – despite federal and local law enforcement presence and witnesses reportedly alerting police.

Trump was bleeding from his right ear and later described a bullet whizzing by while he was speaking at the rally. An attendee was killed and Secret Service agents then shot dead the suspect, with eyewitness reports that someone outside the rally had told police they’d seen the armed suspect heading to the roof but it appeared that officers did not respond.

How was it that someone could get [in position] on a roof … with a weapon and try to assassinate [Trump]?” Turner told CNN’s State of the Union show on Sunday morning, adding: “The fact that people knew there was a man with a rifle and were trying to get the police’s attention is a cause for concern.”

[The Guardian]

What we also know is that this shocking event is about much more than the shooter and the bullet. The race for the White House, which in recent weeks has seen Donald Trump pull comfortably ahead in the polls, was already turning deadly. On a private phone call with donors last week, Joe Biden reportedly said, “It’s time to put Trump in a bullseye”. Only two weeks ago he described Trump as “a genuine threat to this nation”. And these were only the latest in a long series of quasi-violent threats that came from the ‘liberal’ left of American politics, not the right.

There was Robert de Niro saying he’d like to punch Trump “in the face”. There was comedienne Kathy Griffin who posed with a graphic model of Trump’s severed head. There was Mickey Rourke who said he’d hit Trump with a “left hook from hell”On and on it goes. Anthony Bourdain, Snoop Dogg, George Lopez, Pearl Jam, Madonna, Johnny Depp, Rosie O’Donnell. These are just some of the many left-leaning celebrities who have threatened or wished violence upon Trump.

The two female U.S. Secret Service bodyguards look useless. Out of place.

The real UK population is already somewhere between 65M and 70M. Wake up.

It is bad enough when families like that get caught up in a “normal” war, but what we see in Gaza is a relentless and largely one-sided attack by one side (which alone has planes, real missiles, tanks, all sorts of advanced weaponry etc) upon an almost defenceless population. A kind of savage bullying of a civilian population by a heartless and ideologically-harsh tribe.

As for thick-as-two-short-planks Lammy, were he not (for his own benefit) willing to say more or less what the UK Israel lobby wants him to say, he would not be in the (Labour Friends of Israel) Starmer-Labour government, let alone Cabinet.

The last tweet there by tweeter “@alexphaea” is typical of kneejerk Labourites, i.e. “all that matters is having a Labour-label government, even if it is almost indistinguishable in policy terms (or results) from a Conservative-label one“…

One of the latest statements by Senator J.D. Vance, who today became a candidate for US Vice President in conjunction with Donald Trump, about the conflict in Ukraine :

“In particular, on the issue of Ukraine, everyone with a brain knows that this will end in negotiations… Ukraine is functionally destroyed as a country… […] Our policy towards Ukraine is unsustainable. The average age of a soldier in their army is 43 years old – No one older than me can articulate what $61 billion can achieve, so we need to seek a negotiated end to the war.

If Trump can get re-elected, and take away Zelensky’s ricebowl in all senses, the war can finish, either by negotiation in a few months, or via Russian victory east of the Dnieper in a few weeks.

Sadly, though, all mainstream American politicians are poisoned, at an early stage in their careers, by the Israel lobby:

Still, politics is the art of the possible. There are no social national candidates of any weight standing in those American elections.

England in 2024, a “nation” which pretends to be in mourning because the “England” football team, most of whom are not really English anyway, fail to win a football competition somewhere or other.

England in 2024, a “nation” consisting of people more interested in that football result than in the fact that between half a million and a million migrant-invaders every single year are invading this country.

After Trump’s courageous immediate response to the attempted assassination, his stock among the American voters must surely rise.

This must surely seal the Presidential race for Trump, even if the Democrats replace Biden with someone compos mentis.

Having said that, were Biden to be replaced by someone such as Michelle Obama, popular —God knows why— among the non-whites who are now the majority of the American population, it is possible that Trump might lose, I suppose, but that really might see an actual civil war develop.

Have we just seen and heard, in those popping shots at the Trump rally, the first shots of the second American Civil War, akin to the shot fired at Fort Sumter, Charleston, South Carolina in 1861, or even that fired by the cruiser Aurora in 1917?

Is anything Liz Truss may think even worth reporting? Her rise to prominence, then —briefly— power came as a result of peculiar and particular political circumstances; and, after all, she only became an MP in the first place on her back.

Were her crazy idea about pension age ever to be implemented, it would cause an electoral, and perhaps actual, rebellion that would make the rise of Reform UK look like the Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

Thick-as-two-short-planks “diversity hire” Lammy is not only a barrister and a member of Lincoln’s Inn (as I was from 1986 until my wrongful and unlawful disbarment in 2016, when I was automatically expelled) but I think now even a Bencher there. He is welcome there; I am not. Could one imagine a more absurd example of where our society has gone wrong?

Reminiscent of the famous WW2 photo from Iwo Jima:

The Trump photo will surely come to be regarded as equally historic.

Quelle surprise…

As Matt Goodwin has predicted, the Starmer-Labour government will crash and burn very quickly. It has no real mandate anyway, despite its Commons majority. Only 33.7% of the popular vote. People wanted rid of the fake “Conservatives”, that’s all. Few really wanted Starmer-Labour. Don’t forget that Sunak’s “Conservatives” also had a large Commons majority.

How is it that a Zionist Jew such as Aaronovitch can post that, and nothing happens, but a comment or cartoon about Jewish behaviour, allegedly posted by an English blogger, causes the suborned UK police and/or CPS to go mad?

Oh…

I refer readers to the posts re. my free speech trial of 2023.

Quite.

Of course, both Biden and Trump kow-tow to the Israel lobby, but at least Trump would or will avoid war with Russia and, I hope, take away Zelensky’s ricebowl.

The Labour hegemony in the younger age-groups (highest in the 25-34 age-group— 46%) will not last. The wider 18-44 group —where Labour support was, at GE 2024, over 40%— will soon defect or fall away when Labour fails to improve the housing crisis, or improve the poor deal renters get in the UK, among other issues.

Farage

I see that the little world of UK Twitter/X is going mad because Farage is going to visit Trump. According to those Twitter-twits, Farage is neglecting his duties as MP and, in particular, neglecting the constituents of Clacton by briefly going to the USA. They obviously have no idea that a great many MPs either do nothing at all for their (notional) constituents, or send pro-forma letters back to them, explaining why they can do little or nothing. There are exceptions, but those are exceptions to the general rule of uselessness.

I think so. Of course, it is a gamble, but one at reasonable odds.
