Saturday quiz

Well, this week brings another victory over political journalist John Rentoul, who scored 4/10. I scored 7/10. I did not know the answers to questions 1, 6, and 9.

[“The reason Substacks and new media are thriving is because millions of people are utterly sick of the same liberal centrist dross being served up and shoved down our throats —from the BBC to much of the MSM—and then presented as some kind of “insight” when, in reality, it reflects the worldview of a 5-10% elite minority who still think we are living in 1997 and have failed to see that, actually, people don’t want liberalism on steroids. This elite minority is filled with people who went to the same schools, the same universities, who all basically think the same, live in the same postcodes, and are so obsessed with conforming to the Groupthink or their own social status that they never come close to representing or understanding the wider country. The only thing they want to do is maintain a dismal status-quo that was largely built by this elite class to serve the interests of this elite class. You can criticise me, that’s fine, but this is also why we are now one of the largest independent politics newsletters in the West (http://mattgoodwin.org), and why many others are also emerging, because people see through the Blob and they’ve had enough of it. Because they are the ones having to live with the reality of what this elite class has done to the country —an elite class that now also has the gall to say “yes we get your concerns but don’t be too annoyed/we don’t like your tone”. Do you see how utterly deluded large parts to legacy media now look to everybody else? Look for example at the stuff your own paper has been pushing on immigration. It is so obviously biased and disconnected from the mounting pile of evidence that it is embarrassing to read and, even worse, the reason you won’t change your tune is because you view the truth as “low status” and everybody can see it. Do you have one columnist, a single columnist, who genuinely reflects the mood of the average voter right now? Nope. Hence why the Tories are collapsing. Hence why legacy media is haemorrhaging viewers and listeners. Hence why liberal centrists (sorry, “conservatives”) are sitting around, scratching their heads, wondering why nobody is interested in them anymore. Still, the failures of MSM are what is driving the success of new media and the realignment of politics so keep doing what you’re doing …“]

We are the “Noticers”…

Good, but not enough.

The “rubber boat” invaders are only 5% of the overall problem; indeed, if births to non-Europeans are taken into account, even less.

I think that the British people have largely made up their collective mind: Farage and Reform are slightly underwhelming, but are the only game in town to vote for in order to hit out at the System parties that have done so much damage. Everyone now knows that, at every by-election, and every local election, from now until the next general election, and then at that general election, the way to stamp on both Lab and Con is to vote Reform.

The Reform vote at the next general election will probably be between 30% and 45%, and even the 30% level will be enough to sink Starmer-stein and his Labour Friends of Israel regime.

“Labour” ceased to be “the party of the working man” a long long time ago, and certainly no later than 1997.

An utter cretin.

I shall be interested and amused to see the progress, if any, of the new party being set up by Corbyn and the comedic-named Zara Sultana. I am told that about a quarter of Labour members will join, defecting from Starmer-Labour. A quarter of members, maybe, but I apprehend that only about a tenth of Labour voters, if that, will defect at the next general election. At present, official Labour is registering about 20%-28% in the opinion polls. That seems to put Corbyn-Labour on maybe 2% or 3%. I doubt that Corbyn’s new party will attract more than 10% of the entire election vote; maybe 5%. Even 10% may not result in more than one or two MPs. Corbyn himself, and maybe Ms. Sultana, in both of whose constituencies the vote may be more concentrated.

[“If you are not from the UK then you should know there are currently dozens of protests happening right now across the country against illegal migration, broken borders, the sexual assault of our children, and the fact our own government is using our own money to outbid our own people in our own housing market by bankrolling private firms to put illegal migrants into the heart of our communities with more favourable rental contracts, all while giving us a bill of £7 BILLION a year and calling us “far right” if we say anything about it.”]

Impressive, but no more so than the one that stood in the garden of my parents’ house at Reigate Hill, Surrey, circa 1980. The house itself was called Sequoiah (the Native American name for giant redwood). I think that tree was about 100 years old at the time.

Thought for the day

The so-called “Glorious 12th”, start of the grouse season. A “sport” of which I disapprove, so good luck to all grouse today.

There are those who claim that shooting helps conservation of a number of species [see, e.g. https://www.sykeshousefarm.co.uk/news_stories/why-grouse-is-becoming-more-exclusive-than-ever/] but I feel that there are other ways to do that. In the end, I just feel that to take pleasure in shooting a creature, a warm-blooded one at that, is morally wrong.

In the years 2002-2008, when I was a barrister based in Exeter and (2002-2006) living on the Cornwall/Devon border, prime shooting territory, several of my colleagues in chambers shot. I recall one incident when one member of chambers shot a pheasant which then fell on the head of either his wife or someone else’s wife (I think the latter), the lady in question being knocked out as a consequence.

I cannot now recall whether the shooter was or was not the person who later had an affair with the lady in question, who later left the one barrister for the other (causing a big kefuffle in chambers, as might be imagined; however, this being England and not Texas or the Caucasus, no-one opened fire on anyone else, and no blood was spilt).

Awkward, and I quite liked all three members of chambers involved (one involved simply as another gun on the fateful day; the lady involved was not a barrister, though I think that I did meet her once).

In fact, as someone who does not interfere with other people if it can be avoided, and because in those years I spent half my time at my then home in Finistere, or elsewhere, I was apparently the only member of Chambers for some time unaware of the personal upset that had occurred (though I had heard about the earlier, pheasant-caused, injury).

For once, I agree almost entirely with everything Andrew Neil says there.

“They” dislike any of their activities being exposed to the light of day. Not only in the Middle East; in the UK and elsewhere as well.

Terrible. I spent several days at Canakkale town in 2001, having driven from England (and then on to Mediterranean Turkey), a more difficult drive at that time than it now is, Turkey, in the past quarter-century, having constructed all sorts of motorways and bridges where none previously existed. Also, most of the states of Eastern Europe were then not in the EU or the Schengen Zone.

…and the number of “legal” migrants is about 20x that, so at least a million altogether, in about a year…

Disastrous.

[“American woman says “I’ve had enough” of the white hate pushed on the population “We’re the only ones that are constantly having diversity shoved down our throats. We are a global minority being replaced in our own countries. And I’ve had enough” “If you would have asked me like nine months ago if I would ever be making pro white content, I would have looked at you like you were insane. Like, the idea of a white person being proud to be white is so foreign to most of us. And it’s really only been conflated with evil and hate and maliciousness. And it’s like you stop and you think about that. White people are really the only ones that are taught to hate ourselves, or the only ones that are blamed for every and all atrocities across the planet over all of time. We are the only ones that are taught to be colorblind. We’re the only ones that are constantly having diversity shoved down our throats. We are a global minority being replaced in our own countries. And I’ve had enough.”]

“The Theory of (Political) Relativity”, if you like: The Labour Party is ebbing away, especially among real British people, but the equally fake Conservative Party is ebbing away even faster.

Enough for a modest Reform majority.

Only 17% think the present government competent, and only 25% think it is even trying to “do the right thing”…

Mass immigration is the key issue, because it affects all other issues.

[“Great scoop on the procession of Brits bending the knee to the genocidal Ms Hotovely. Lots of interesting names in the disclosed diary besides the names mentioned in the story. Some highlights: The ever repellent Douglas Murray; Jonathan Sacerdoti had a 30 minute briefing with Hotovely on 17 October 2023. He has worked for the Zionist Federation, the Campaign Against Antisemitism and been a member of the Board of Deputies as well as other genocidal Zionist groups; Hotovely had dinner with Lord Bew, the former ‘Marxist’ from the north of Ireland who went on to advise Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble, and the Zionist fanatics at the Islamophobic Henry Jackson Society; Neil Blair had a phone call with Hotovely. He is the fanatical Zionist who oversees JK Rowling’s business empire and keeps her on the Zionist path, as he does with many of the other clients he acts for. Sir Mark Rowley, Commissioner of the Met Police met Hotovely on 14 November 2023. The Met have since done their duty to embed Zionist ideology in policing decisions and to enforce Zionist demands to whip up hysteria about ‘antisemitism’; Dean Godson of the Islamophobic Policy Exchange had breakfast with Hotovely; Matt Jukes, Assistant Commissioner at the Met Police bent the knee in August 2024; A dinner with Beit Halochem was held in the Dorchester in September 2024. It is a British charity sending cash to support the IOF. Andrew Wolfson of the Wolfson family runs it. They own Next, Fatface and Reiss; Remember, whenever you hear a leading Zionist speak, you can be sure their words are authorised or authored by an outpost of the Zionist regime. #DismantleZionism.“]

Interesting. Quite a coup, to get hold of the diary of someone as well-guarded as that.

The Jewish/Israel lobby, though very active even in the 1980s and 1970s, was not then the powerful and corrupting force it is in 2025. Not just in politics and law, either. You see the cultural aspects of it in magazines, newspapers, and on radio and TV etc.

Ukraine news

In what may prove to be a major breakthrough for Vladimir Putin, Russian sabotage and reconnaissance units punched through exposed defences in eastern Ukraine, slipping as far as six miles behind the front line in just 48 hours, according to battlefield reports.

Kyiv has diverted special forces units to confront the insurgents on the ground in an attempt to prevent any more of Ukraine falling under Russia’s control before the summit in Alaska.

The location, near Dobropillya in Donetsk, is strategically significant. If Moscow’s forces are able to establish a foothold, the breach could allow Russia to cut off the city of Kramatorsk, one of the most vital strongholds in the Donbas still under Kyiv’s control.

If the city falls, it would give Putin almost full control over the Donbas and strengthen his negotiating power when bargaining over Ukraine’s fate with the Trump administration.

[Daily Telegraph]

As predicted on the blog, the Kiev-regime front is fast crumbling.

Appalling-looking bastards, many of them.

Evil shows itself, sometimes.

Slowly slowly catchee monkee…

Talking point

Currently, according to Bild military observer Julian Repke, the fate of 29% of the territory of the Donetsk region, which remains under Ukrainian control, is being decided.

North of Pokrovsk, the depth of the front breakthrough is already about 18 km, and the Ukrainian armed forces have only a few days to hold their positions before Russian drones and mechanized units are transferred there.

Very strange. Is there a concerted purpose behind this?

Looking back now, it is clear that a major factor in the last two years or so of “panicdemic” was a mass psychological experiment, and on a huge scale across the world, with the intention not only of seeing how far the masses could be pushed, but of conditioning those masses to accept the most ridiculous strictures, such as the facemask nonsense, the “social distancing” nonsense etc. At what point would the masses say “this is just stupid…and I am not doing it!“?

Most never did. They obediently lined up, six feet apart, masks on, in order to buy bread, even when later (in the UK), the “rules” and fake “laws” were adjusted so that those stupid “rules” applied in the supermarket, but not in the pub across the road! Yet still 90%+ of the sheep complied, and even failed to see how ridiculous the whole thing was. Indeed, those who did protest online did so on the basis that the “rules” should apply everywhere, not because they should not have been imposed in the first place.

As Peter Hitchens predicted at the time, the present shambolic UK Government has managed to fairly easily create a propaganda narrative that the various “panicdemic” measures have been successful, and so, thanks to them (and of course the “vaccines”), the public is now free to enjoy the economic wasteland created by those stupid “rules”, “laws”, and “measures” (and the money largesse distributed by Indian “clever boy” Sunak).

The only decent future for Europe is as an alliance of independent ethnostates, loosely allied to or connected with Russia.

(((Barrister))) and LBC radio presenter apparently (but see below) cannot distinguish between “furlong” and “furlough“! Says it all about the state of both the Bar and msm broadcasting in 2022, unless he meant it as a deadpan kind of joke (I think that actually he was just joking; must have been).

Completely out of touch, if (again) he is being serious.

In a sense, the “panicdemic” was not just a conspiracy, but a concatenation of conspiracies.

Interesting. Valentin Tomberg wrote a little about “Isis unveiled by Science”, I seem to recall. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentin_Tomberg.

Incidentally, I just saw, today, a YouTube video interview with someone I met about 43 years ago (at the Goetheanum, near Basel, Switzerland), and who knew someone I knew slightly in London. I think that I shall blog about that tomorrow, though, and will repost the video, which is here:

I have no idea who is that silly woman who says, in that clip, when “Boris”-idiot gets booed, “I certainly didn’t see that coming“. What planet is she living on? Most of the people of the UK now hate the idiotic part-Jew poseur, and the only reason that Labour is not higher in the opinion polls is because most people do not think that Starmer and his motley crew are much (if at all) better, overall.

“Boris” has not been overthrown by his own MPs yet for a like reason: who will replace him? Not because there are no Conservative MPs who would be as good/bad as “Boris”, but because there are no obvious candidates who would be far-and-away better.

The absurdity of it all is that you now see the most ridiculous Conservative Party MPs being suggested, in the msm as well as on social media, as suitable replacements for Johnson, as suitable party leader, and so as suitable Prime Minister.

I am talking about the likes of Liz Truss, Penny Mordaunt, even Nadine Dorries! How low, ethically, intellectually, and culturally, is the Conservative Party willing to go?

Maybe a more traditional figure such as Jeremy Hunt might still pick up the gauntlet.

The British police are no better. As said, this is a problem all across Europe, and maybe beyond. A problem, but also a symptom, a symptom of societies nearer to collapse than most people think.

Stand up, load up, and speak up for Western and white Northern European race and culture!

I heard of the situation in Gothenburg/Goteborg 15 years ago. Migration invasion, followed by breeding of untermenschen. Gangs of young Arabs and Africans (mainly Somalis), terrorizing whole districts of the city.

Sweden needs to wake up, stand up, and load up.
