I never believe “them” without corroborative evidence.

Exactly. Eternal “victims”, even when they are victimizing others.

A mere caution, for attacking an elderly man in the street.

Natalie Elphicke

Whatever the facts of that, there are facts that are indisputable: Natalie Elphicke could have stood at GE 2024 as Con Party candidate. She received 56.9% of the vote in 2019 under that aegis.

I was puzzled as to why Natalie Elphicke crossed the floor, she after all knowing that a general election had to be called sometime before a date in January 2025. Does she have some better offer from outside Parliament? Seems doubtful to me.

Natalie Elphicke gives me a dual impression: not particularly intelligent, but particularly focussed on her own ambitions.

Incidentally, many may be misled by the academic section of her biographical details: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natalie_Elphicke#Early_life_and_career.

As a former member of Lincoln’s Inn, I have met several people over the years who were (as was Natalie Elphicke— see the Wikipedia entry) beneficiaries of Hardwicke scholarships. None impressed.

I saw this comment:

Hardwicke Scholarships aren’t that prestigious. A mere submission of an application is more than enough to win one. They give about 150 away each year, and not many more people apply to each inn for a scholarship, surprisingly enough.” [online commentator].

I think that the real figure is nearer to 100 than 150.

To intrude a personal comment, I recall a young blonde lady barrister who (unsuccessfully, in all cases) opposed me in court a number of times during 2002-2008 when I was in chambers in Exeter (she was in another set, also in Exeter). She was a former Hardwicke scholar, just like Natalie Elphicke. I used to think of her as “Mrs Malaprop”, because her use of English was so poor. Comically so. A pretty poor barrister in terms of both legal knowledge and presentation, in my view, though wearing a sense of self-importance as thick as a suit of armour.

I had better not name that lady, mainly for reasons of propriety (I am too poor now to be worth suing; and there would be no basis for such a suit anyway). I just looked her up online for the first time, and found that she is still in Exeter, and still in the same chambers as she was 20+ years ago, apparently flourishing like the green bay tree.

I note that, having been Called to the Bar in 1994, only a few years after me, Natalie Elphicke decided to leave the Bar and to convert to be a solicitor (something that, at least then, basically meant filling out a few forms).

Natalie Elphicke only worked as a lawyer for a year or two, as a salaried employee of the Inland Revenue (as was; now HMRC) during 1995-1997. She married her now ex-husband, Charlie Elphicke, in 1995. They have two children. She appears to have returned to legal work for a year or two during the years 2011-2013, before helping to found a company which was dissolved 2-3 years later.

After that, her husband’s connections seem to have got her a couple of brief public appointments in the years 2016-2019, as well as the CEO job at the Housing and Finance Institute: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Housing_and_Finance_Institute. This may not be very lucrative, though, looking at the Institute’s funding. Hard to say.

Ah…[10 mins later…]… seems that my hunch was correct: that HFI CEO position is entirely unpaid: see https://members.parliament.uk/member/4795/registeredinterests.

Many will know that, though having displayed (performative?) “loyalty” to her disgraced MP husband, Charlie Elphicke, during his trial, Natalie Elphicke had by then already taken over as MP for Dover in 2019. She separated from him in 2020, and later divorced him, prior to which she sold her story to the Sun “newspaper” for £25,000. https://www.kentonline.co.uk/deal/news/mp-wife-of-naughty-tory-paid-25k-to-tell-all-234749/.

I have to say that I agreed (and still agree) with Natalie Elphicke’s comment at the time of her husband’s unsuccessful appeal (against sentence only— he had been sentenced to 2 years, plus £35,000 costs, and was released after a year) that the 2-year sentence was harsh. He had really done very little: “During his trial the court heard how Elphicke groped one of his accusers, chased her around his house, and sang “I’m a naughty Tory, I’m a naughty Tory.” [Wikipedia].

I should have thought that a suspended sentence would have been enough. From what I read at the time, his three crimes were all just silly, really; almost identical, too, and surely only just coming within the “sex crime” area. Pathetic more than anything, in my opinion.

To my mind, if crimes and criminals can be divided into “bad, sad, or mad“, Charlie Elphicke’s conduct was surely “sad“, with a dash of “mad“, but nothing seriously “bad“.

Having —whether rightly or wrongly, and I think rightly— identified Natalie Elphicke as a “go for the main chance” opportunist, why on Earth did she defect to Labour? Looking at the electoral statistics for Dover, she had a very good chance of being re-elected. Maybe Starmer offered her a peerage (seems unlikely, though), or some quango chair (more likely), or a safe Labour seat (relatively unlikely, surely?).

I admit, Mrs. Elphicke’s motivation is still puzzling to me.

As to Charlie Elphicke, I had little time for him when he was an MP, but I have to say that his fall from status and relative affluence has the elements of a minor Greek tragedy. Apparently, he now lives in a small rented flat somewhere like Earl’s Court, and may (I do not know) be either unemployed or working in some obscure occupation. I can find no record of him still on the Solicitors’ Register, and the same is true of Natalie Elphicke, but as far as I know both are still able to practise; again, I cannot say.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-kent-61276734

While looking up the above details, I noticed this story from the Daily Mail in 2022: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10367265/Naughty-Tory-Charlie-Elphicke-makes-700-000-profit-selling-cliffside-home-Kent.html.

Turns out that the Elphickes bought a house on the Kent coast for about £800,000 in 2012, and were able to sell it only a decade later for over £1.5M. The house almost doubled in value in 10 years. A commentary upon the house-price madness in this country.

There is also no evidence that Reform UK is getting anywhere. Nothing lower than an across-the-board 20% will win any seats; even a few percent more may only win a small handful, maybe 3-5. 11%, 12%, even 15%, is “nowhere” territory in seat-winning terms.

The LibDems and Greens are on a lower nationwide support, yet have seats in the Commons because their vote is concentrated, here and there.

Having said that, I make two points. Firstly, most intending Reform UK voters know perfectly well that RF is not going to win many, if any, seats. Their vote is a protest vote and/or a way of kicking the Sunak government and Conservative Party, by weakening greatly the Con Party vote in almost every constituency, but without voting Labour.

Secondly, as mooted yesterday, there may be a number, perhaps even a large number, of “secret Reform UK voters”, who do not show up in the opinion polls because they say “Don’t Know” or nominate a mainstream party out of embarrassment. Very English, arguably.

I doubt whether the usual general election convergence will happen this time. People hate and despise the useless Conservative Party governments of the past 14 years, and especially the past 5 years. That includes a huge number of 2019 or previous Con voters.

In fact, I should not be surprised were the Lab-Con gap to widen, though more because the Cons may slide again rather than because Labour increase their percentage.

A plurality of voters do not know where Starmer stands. For Starmer, that may be what he wants.

Telling…

That must be “value” olive oil. The last bottle I bought (extra-virgin olive oil, first cold pressing, but not a single-estate or special one) was nearly £13.

Incredible posting by Simon Myerson (1) @JewishMirelle’s statement can be opinion and defamatory. (2) Myerson is re-publishing a likely defamatory statement. (3) He’s a KC suggesting to someone on twitter that their statement might not be defamatory. (4) He’s the KC who acted for Pete Newbon according the Telegraph. #GroundhogDay

Myerson again.

Honest opinion is now a defence [Defamation Act 2013, s.3].

I think that I shall quit now, while I am ahead. I have not been in Bar practice for 16 years, and do not, in general, keep up with changes in the law.

General Election news

According to my use of Electoral Calculus, that might result in a House of Commons with 541 Lab MPs, 46 LibDem, 28 Con, 12 SNP, 3 Plaid Cymru, 2 Green, and 18 various Northern Irish.

On those figures, what Disraeli described as “the great Conservative Party, which destroys everything“, would be itself almost destroyed, reduced to a rump of 20 MPs; not even the official Opposition, which would be the LibDems.

Such a result would be a strategic defeat for the SNP too. 12 MPs, down from 56 (out of 59) at the 2015 peak, and 48 at the 2019 GE.

I get the impression that the SNP’s version of fake “nationalism” (blame England/the UK for everything, keep importing non-whites into Scotland, and think it normal to have a Pakistani as First Minister) has well and truly foundered on the rocks of socio-political reality). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_National_Party#House_of_Commons.

https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/userpoll.html.

Of course, a change in the Labour vote of even one point either way would add several to (or subtract several from) the Conservative total, and even more to or from the Labour total.

A twisted and evil woman.

Ukraine knows that it’s all over” While the UK is preoccupied with the general elections, Kyiv “cannot withstand Putin’s brutal attack,” reports the British The Telegraph. Main points:

Kiev was forced to transfer thousands of soldiers to the northeastern part of the front line to try to slow down the advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kharkov region.

The war is reaching a critical point as Western interest in helping Ukraine risks weakening again.

Zelensky seems to understand that time is running out for Ukraine: over the weekend he called on Joe Biden and Xi Jinping to take part in the upcoming “peace summit” in Switzerland.

Zelensky’s team is concerned about the shift of attention in the United States to internal elections: Ukraine is receding into the background.

The harsh reality is that Ukraine risks simply running out of people to fight.

Exactly.

I have, on the blog, been saying for 2 years that Russia cannot lose this war, and will not lose it.

Multicultural societies cannot exist except as transitional entities. Where does that leave our present society in the UK?

Sunak’s government of clowns really is running on empty.

Natalie Elphicke pretended to stay loyal to her foolish husband while he was on trial for pathetic minor sex crimes, divorced him after he was convicted and imprisoned, and arranged to replace him as Conservative Party MP for Dover. Now, realizing that the game is up, she defects to Labour! About as trustworthy as any triple agent…

Does that mean that she will be the Labour candidate for Dover at GE 2024? I should have thought not.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natalie_Elphicke#Personal_life.

Having said that, Natalie Elphicke is unarguably right about Sunak’s bad joke government. The very roads are like something out of the Ukraine now— potholed, rutted, unrepaired or, at best, poorly-patched.

I started to comment on the blog years ago about how, not overnight but over 10-15 or more years (even pre-dating “Conservative” governments post-2010) “nothing works in Britain these days”. The newspapers started to say the same a couple of years ago. Now, hardly anyone would argue about it.

It will be interesting to see whether Natalie Elphicke, if not adopted as Labour candidate for the Dover constituency, stands as Independent. It might be tight between Con and Lab anyway, but with Reform UK in the mix (and very likely to do well), and Natalie Elphicke potentially standing as Independent, it could be a very close contest indeed. She might even win.

Come to think of it, Natalie Elphicke might have done better to have defected to Reform UK, which would probably have made her its Dover candidate, and with a reasonable shot at winning in a three-way split.

American journalist Clayton Morris: “Over the weekend we learned that NATO is actively trying to start a nuclear war. They are testing Putin to see if he is bluffing. Has he bluffed before? Has he ever bluffed? Does he look like a man who bluffs? Poland is ready to give up its territory under nuclear weapons, so that NATO strengthens its eastern flank. “You can put them here, but we must know that we can use it.” Bring nuclear weapons to Poland before the start of World War III. Great! Western leaders now…

Poland seems to have forgotten the lessons of 1939-45…

Seems that the Jewish state wishes to create a road there, on the border of the Negev and Judean Hills regions, and wants the Bedouin inhabitants out for that reason. It may well be just a cover for gradual ethnic cleansing of the area.

Akin to slaves building the pyramids.

Talking point

[Kensington Roof Gardens, London, which date back to the 1930s]

London has large areas of unused roof space which could be turned into green space; not necessarily all open to the public, but still a haven for birds and a recreational resource for individual people, families, employee groups etc.

I had such ideas back in the mid/late 1970s, when I happened to see some of the views from the roof areas of tall buildings: a couple of the then-tall buildings of the City of London (now dwarfed by the new high buildings, of course), the British Gas building at Marble Arch etc; both during the daytime and at night.

Since those times, others with similar ideas but more resources have actually been able to make a few projects a reality. There remains huge scope.

In the Russian saying, “the world is not without kind people“.

Not often do I agree with anything said by puppet of Israel and the Jewish lobby, Starmer, but…

It’s all starting to unravel, the whole panicdemic/scamdemic narrative.

The truth is out there.

I remember seeing on TV all the clowns applauding that Gilbert person at Centre Court, Wimbledon; what puzzled me at the time is how the crowd even knew who she was. Was that all part of the propaganda of those times?

Diary Blog, 19 March 2022, including more thoughts about 2022 as first year of the latest 33-year cycle

Morning music

On this day a year ago

Saturday quiz

Well, this week, the political journalist John Rentoul scored a rare victory over me. He awarded himself 7 and a half out of 10, but I scored only 6/10. I did not know the answers to questions 1, 3, 5, and 8.

2022: first year of a 33-year cycle

I have blogged in the past about the 33-year cycle in our times: 1923, 1956, 1989, 2022 etc.

It can be seen that in, or close to, those dates occurred many of the shaping events of the past 100 years: the official establishment of the Soviet Union (30 December 1922), Mussolini’s March on Rome (late October 1922), and Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch (November 1923), lighting the blue touchpaper for the Second World War.

The Hungarian Uprising and Khrushchev’s Secret Speech (1956), both events symbolic of the belated end of Stalinism, as well as leading on to the collapse of Soviet Power and its East European “empire” in 1989; Suez (1956), which confirmed the post-1948 Arab-Israeli enmity, and also triggered Arab solidarity around oil production, leading to the formation of OPEC in 1960.

1989 saw the Fall of Socialism not only in the Soviet Union (though the Soviet Union as a state limped on until 1991) but in the satellites and elsewhere. In the UK, for example, the Labour Party effectively abandoned socialism, and after having elected Tony Blair as leader a few years later, abandoned Clause IV (socialist ownership and direction of enterprises).

1989 also saw the open public pronouncement by President George Bush snr (in early 1990) of the “New World Order” [NWO]. At the same time, the NWO began to gather strength for attacks on the anti-Israel powers, starting (on a big scale) with Iraq, after the 1990 Kuwait invasion.

From 1989-2022, the “NWO” impulse was dominant: elimination of socialism worldwide, and destruction of, or control over, the anti-Israel states (Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Libya etc). The pervasive influence of finance-capitalism. The degradation of Russia in the 1990s. The increase of overt Jewish-lobby influence in the “Western” world. The promotion of race-mixing in the “Western world” (as seen in TV ads, dramas etc, all loosely co-ordinated on some level); i.e. the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan being put into very obvious effect.

2022 is now with us. The approach to 2022 was the “panicdemic” around “Covid-19” (etc). Across, again, the Western world particularly, a massive psychological conditioning experiment designed to turn whole populations. who previously thought of themselves as, more or less, “free” people, living in “free” countries, into compliant serf-citizens.

The facemask nonsense, the “vaccines” and “boosters” thereof, the “social distancing” (and, in the UK, “Boris” Johnson’s arbitrary and ludicrous “Rule of Six”). All part of a hypnotic-style conditioning process on a huge scale.

The agenda of the transnational conspiracy (or consensus) for 2022-2055 seems to be: more racemixing, and a sustained attempt to start to actually wipe out the white/European/Aryan (or post-Aryan) race, as well as an attempt to control Russia, or at least to isolate Russia, and an attempt to destroy independent thought, speech, and publishing.

BBC or former BBC reporter Allan Little has written about the present moment in the context of 1989: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-60767454

In November 1989, I stood on a snow-flecked Wenceslas Square in Prague, the capital of what was then Czechoslovakia, and watched a new world being born.

In Prague, the dissident playwright Vaclav Havel addressed a crowd of 400,000 from a second-floor balcony. It was an exhilarating moment, dizzying in its pace. That evening, the Communist regime collapsed and within weeks Havel was president of a new democratic state. I sensed, even at the time, that I had watched the world pivot – that it was one of those rare moments when you know the world is remaking itself before your eyes.

How many such moments had there been in the history of Europe since the French Revolution? Probably, I thought then, about five. This, 1989, was the sixth.

But that world – born in those dramatic popular revolutions – came to an end when Putin ordered Russian forces into Ukraine.

The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called this moment a zeitenwende – a turning point – while UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said it was a “paradigm shift”. The age of complacency, she said, was over.

To my mind, a fairly good —in parts— but also rather flawed analysis.

A good example of what I have written above

Gordon Brown— typical narrow-minded Scottish hypocrite.

I begin to think that a nuclear attack on London…well, let’s just leave the thought hanging there…

Where were these people when the USA bombed Iraq, Serbia etc?

The Political Editor of LBC radio (Jewish, needless to add) seems pleased that an “antisemitic” voice is silenced. I have little time for “rappers”, black or otherwise, but what we see here is yet another example of Jews ganging up against individuals thought to be “antisemitic” and either inciting or applauding their “cancellation”.

A few of my own experiences:

A long-running TV Schauspiel for the masses.

Ukraine

At last, a little realism from the UK msm:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10629003/Putin-losing-information-war-Ukraine-losing-battlefield-BILL-ROGGIO.html

Putin may be losing the information war but Zelensky’s NATO concession suggests Ukraine may be losing on the battlefield. The West must not fool itself into thinking otherwise, writes military expert BILL ROGGIO.” [Daily Mail].

Exactly what I wrote on the blog a couple of days ago.

Videos of Russian battlefield setbacks abound in the media, and strangely there is little reporting on Ukrainian losses.

And yet, over three weeks into the war, Vladimir Putin remains president and the Russian war machine has not collapsed but in fact continues its plodding, imperfect, and messy advance.” [Bill Roggio in the Daily Mail].

This is not a condemnation of the West’s use of information and disinformation

These tactics play a role in the management of conflicts. But the West should not delude itself into believing that the Ukrainians will be saved by wishful thinking.” [Bill Roggio in the Daily Mail].

Where the Ukrainians have put of [sic] stiff resistance in the cities, Russian forces are bypassing them to take other key objectives, while at the same time the Russians are attempting to surround the cities and pound them into submission with deadly air and artillery strikes.

This is a classic military maneuver. Once a force is surrounded, they will begin to run out of necessities, like food and ammo.” [Bill Roggio in the Daily Mail]

Again, the same as I have been saying on the blog.

[apparent state of play as of 19 March 2022]

It can only be a matter of time, resupply permitting, until Russian forces in the Kharkov/Izyum area strike out west for the Dnieper. The same will happen on the other, western, bank of that very wide river, once Russian forces take or bypass Kryvyi Rih/Krivoy Rog.

At that point, Kiev —though over 200 miles away— will be open to approach from both south and southwest, on both banks of the Dnieper.

The likely outcome, some way down the line, still seems to me to be a Russian occupation of the east and south of Ukraine, leaving the western half largely in rebel (meaning Kiev-regime) hands, once Zelensky and his cabal are dislodged from Kiev. Lvov will become the Zelensky capital, assuming that he escapes and survives.

Silly woman is only an MP because her former husband, the former MP, was imprisoned for (ridiculous and ineffective) sexual fumbling around with a couple of women. She then “inherited” his seat, absurdly.

I suppose that both the heckling and my comment here will soon be made a “crime” via the new Orwellian Online Harms Bill. So much for our “free” society…

The wicked flourish like the green bay tree

The wicked flourish like the green bay tree, indeed…That bitch should be really grateful to her inept and stupid (and, arguende, over-sentenced) husband. Not only has she got shot of a husband with whom she was probably bored anyway, but she managed to take over his position as MP and now, it appears, sold her story to the Press for £25,000! As good as the plot of a cheap novel by one or another disgraced Conservative MP…

As to why I think that Elphicke was over-sentenced (probably the only thing with which I might agree with Natalie Elphicke), when you look at what Elphicke actually did, it amounted to making very inept attempts to seduce three women. His actions make “cringeworthy” reading, but being a complete idiot and rather unpleasant is not a crime. If it were, there would be few MPs left (yay! ha ha!).

More seriously, a sentence of a month, or a couple of months, would have been enough to mark the badness of his actions. He would still have lost his seat: while that would not have been automatic —the sentence has to be a year or more for that— there is no doubt that he would have gone, and probably within a few months.

There is much too much leniency in some sentencing, but also a great deal of over-sentencing. For example, we see daily in the tabloid or local Press, “she (and it is often a woman) was spared prison” (often but not always because the woman has a child). There are many male thugs too who are let off lightly.

I saw a report about how a gang of “people” attacked two policemen trying to arrest a motor thief, and poured petrol on them, but failed to find matches or a lighter. Sentence for the main perpetrator? 3 years, 9 months, so that one will be out in less than two years. Another got a short sentence, while a third was given a “community penalty”!

Jez Turner of the London Forum got a year for making a short speech! More than a quarter of what he would have got for trying to murder two policemen! (note: those criminals with the petrol were not actually charged with attempted murder; why not?).

The video itself is nice; I could do without the repetitive and noisy musical soundtrack, though.

Quite! The Royal Navy now has a couple of dozen large vessels of various kinds. The Chinese Navy has many hundreds: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/People%27s_Liberation_Army_Navy; the Russian Navy (always the least of that country’s armed forces) dozens if not more. As to the enormous power of the U.S. Navy, that is never in doubt: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Navy.

Again exactly right. From Roman times to our own, the position of an ally can quickly become that of a vassal. The two world wars, and particularly the unnecessary world struggle with the German Reich, killed Britain as a world power. Britain gave many of its bases overseas to the USA, and now many “British” bases (RAF bases) in Britain are really American bases. Britain is still America’s “unsinkable aircraft carrier“, in the words of Roosevelt.

He who has not the mark of the Beast cannot buy or sell…

This video from Laura Towler and Mark Collett is worth seeing. Laura’s account [from about 8 minutes in] of how her bank account was frozen (without right of access, appeal or much information), frozen because of her political views, is chilling.

That is the future that awaits. Dissidents will have their bank accounts closed and/or stolen, and you will be stuffed then even if you have cash for immediate necessities, because almost everything will require a debit or credit card. In the UK, it is halfway there already.

For a number of years, and until about 11 years ago, I used to stay in hotels (mainly in the UK) about 10 days per month, usually arranging things via Internet and paying by debit card. Once, I wanted to pay by cash when I was somewhere in England unexpectedly, and was told that I not only had to get permission to pay cash but also pay a deposit (about the same amount as, or maybe slightly less than, the cost of one night’s stay)!

I once went to Hong Kong without more than a small amount of cash, only a debit card and a credit card. The organization operating the debit card (a major bank) had a serious technical problem that affected much of East Asia. I was unable to use that card. Fortunately, I had the credit card too, and my suite at the Sheraton in Kowloon was paid for in advance, but under other circumstances I might have been stuck for days, without shelter or food.

Imagine a future where there is no cash. You are then entirely dependent on the centralized money power. You can become an unperson overnight, unable to pay utility bills, get fuel for your car, food for yourself, and so on.

All very true, but the eternal bleat of the self-describing “Left” is a function of weakness. No programme, no policy, no power, just a continual “it’s unfair” bleat.

The above idiot tweeter (a teacher…wouldn’t you know? Almost a guarantee of ignorance) thinks that the importation of millions of immigrants, and their having bred for decades now, resulting in a population of over 70 million, compared to 56 million in the 1990s, has nothing to do with homelessness! Oh, no, nothing at all! It’s all the fault of government! Didn’t you know? It is the fault of government, failing to wave a magic wand to solve the (homelessness and housing) problem(s).

Well, when government has waved a magic wand to solve the terrible and increasing housing problems in the UK, perhaps tweeter “@JamieKay22” can get government to wave that wand for a second time, and thus magically transform the migrant-invaders of all sorts (and their UK-born offspring), almost all of whom are totally useless, and totally unemployable, into the brain surgeons, nurses, entrepreneurs and public service staff that we are always being told that they are…

Here’s another gem from “@JamieKay22”:

https://twitter.com/JamieKay22/status/1312644711040114689?s=20

Well, my grandfather fought in WW2 (France/Dunkirk and, later, Burma). He was older than average, having been born in 1901. Even someone who was 18 in 1944 and so might just have served in, or even actually “fought” in, WW2 by the time it ended (Spring 1945), would have to have been born no later than 1926. In other words, such a person would now be at least 94 years old.

What evidence is there that the few surviving “veterans” of WW2, 94+ years old, are “anti-racists”, let alone “Remainers”? None. Typical pseudo-socialist drivel. Yet note how many similar types have “liked” that last tweet. Hundreds…

Incidentally, that tweeter has no less than 37,000 Twitter followers (over 10x more than I had when the Jewish lobby had me expelled from Twitter in 2018). Another indication of how pointless Twitter is as a tool of real influence.

Seems that “@JamieKay22” does not like the truth being said; see below:

A reminder about the existence of Jud Suss [The Jew Suss], a German film of 1940 (remake of a 1934 one), which is now banned by the BBC, other TV channels, and even YouTube, despite it having been based on real historical events in the Germany of the 18th Century: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jud_S%C3%BC%C3%9F.

I once had a copy of a booklet which listed all the “antisemitic” famous composers, writers, artists, scientists, inventors etc of Europe. Hundreds. Most people who are educated and intelligent enough to think for themselves see the problem.

Without judging the judge, he might have stayed, in order to mete out the very harshest measures and sentences to the abusers. Maximum, every time.

A very significant cultural figure, influential in his day and later. I once had a lease of a house in Cornwall with (originally) 26 bedrooms. In the entrance hall or Outer Hall, there was panelling to head height, and above that original William Morris wallpaper, though sadly decayed thanks to over a century of the damp Cornish climate, and neglect.

This “Femi Sorry” person is a UK-born Nigerian who has been pushed and puffed by the System merely because he can string a few words together, and because there is now a campaign for more blacks in the msm and politics (despite the proportion on TV and in the Commons being in fact at least as great as that in the population).

“Femi” has parents who both have well-paid positions in the NHS, his father being a surgeon, his mother a paediatrician.

“Femi” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Femi_Oluwole] apparently “worked in non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and human rights agencies” for a few years, presumably as a “gopher”. He “gave up his job” (whatever that was; teaboy?) at age 27 in order to campaign against Brexit. His Wikipedia entry does not point out that his organization, “Our Future Our Choice”, was bankrolled by an EU-funded entity.

Wikipedia: “Oluwole regularly appeared in the media during the process of the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union.[16][17] Oluwole has written for The Independent,[18] The Guardian,[19] and the Metro,[20] and is a regular guest on Talkradio.” “Femi” has also attacked “antisemitism”, apparently. Ah, I think we can see who or what is pulling the strings of this puppet…

In fact, the tweet from “@CentralReserva9” is slightly unfair. “Femi” is still only 30. Perhaps he hopes that Keir Starmer Labour will eventually ask him to become a Labour Party MP. Alternatively, that he can build on his now-weekly appearance on the Sky News talking head show, which features such as Nick Ferrari and Rachel Johnson.

“Femi” tweets fairly often (as I write, several times in one hour) and has about a quarter of a million “followers” on Twitter. I should imagine that his real political influence is close to zero, but it says a lot about the naivety of so many self-describing “Left” people on Twitter that they see him as some sort of, so to speak, “great white hope”. After all, what has he ever done, really? Blagged a fairly soft degree (from Nottingham) in French and Law, worked in very minor jobs for about 3-4 years, then —thanks to the support of the EU and his own parents (in whose home he was and maybe still is living)— presented himself as anti-Brexit “youth” figurehead.

I should add that the financial support for “Our Future Our Choice” must have been considerable. During the Referendum campaign, it had offices in a Westminster building that also housed departments of the Labour and Conservative parties, and offices of major transnational enterprises and organizations. Someone laid out quite a bit of money for this puppet.

The above says something about more than just one System-approved talking head. It goes to the way in which what is on TV and radio is presented to the general public. Put “Femi” with Nick Ferrari, maybe Rachel Johnson and a few others, and you have the semblance of a “diverse” discussion, whereas in reality it is as controlled as a Punch and Judy show.

ps. Seems that I am not the only person who wants to tell irrelevant little “Femi” to shut up and get lost (preferably out of both the UK and the rest of Europe):

Hitchens is quite wrong. Abstention, even organized abstention, does not affect the System, because it will then just be said that “people have a right to vote; if they fail to exercise that right, then they cannot complain”. Already only about two-thirds bother to vote in general elections in the UK; in by-elections, sometimes as few as a fifth vote. In local elections, so few vote that a handful of voters (a few dozen) can change the outcome.

It might be the case that if 90% or more were to boycott general elections, there would be enough pressure to change the electoral system etc, but such an event is unlikely to happen.

…and even Peter Hitchens has never alleged (as others have) that Tony Blair, as a student, was actually arrested, charged and convicted (on a guilty plea) on a charge of gross indecency in a public loo, but (allegedly again) gave a false name, and so escaped any negative career consequences.

I think that those allegations say that Blair came up before the “beak” at Great Marlborough Street Mags (Magistrates) in London, where I appeared a couple of times as Counsel when I was still a “second-six” Bar pupil, i.e. a pretty green recent-trainee barrister. I think that both of my appearances related to theft charges, though.

Ah. I see that others cite Bow Street Mags, the historic and now closed mags’ court which was opposite the Royal Opera House. I also appeared there a couple of times as Counsel, circa 1993. There seems to be little hard evidence against Blair, though: http://ukchildabuseinquiry.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-alleged-cottaging-conviction-of.html; https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/charles_lyntons_convictions

Trump

So there it is. Trump is 74, unfit, very overweight, has had “the virus”, yet has only been in hospital a couple of days and is likely to be discharged tomorrow. He personifies the opposition to the “panicdemic”. His wife, Melania, has not even been hospitalized. Yet the fearmongers have had societies and economies across the world shut down because of this virus which, worldwide, has killed only 1 out of every 8,000 people. Madness.

Andew Neil should read my previous blog posts in which I examine the phenomenon. It comes down to political infantilism.

The people who are usually Twitter pseudo-socialists are basically politically naive. They think that mass immigration can be combined with high pay, high State benefits, a decent NHS and a viable national future. They think that they support “freedom” yet want to remove the free speech rights of those whom they deem “Nazi”, “fascist”, “racist” etc etc. They think that the “lockdown” and facemask nonsense is essential, should be stricter, and will have little effect on the economy (or all those high salaries and State benefits they also want…). They love being told what to do, love the restrictions on liberty; they also (quelle surprise) love the EU.

Sadly, I am no longer on Twitter (thanks to the Jew lobby that Andrew Neil usually seems to support). Maybe someone else can tweet my views to him…

Coronavirus

It is reported that, yesterday, 3 people died, in the whole of the UK, from or at least with Coronavirus. Three people. Out of nearly 70 million in the country. Out of several thousand being tested every day now as having Coronavirus.

It follows that there now is no substantial public health threat in the UK from Coronavirus; what does exist is panic and unwarranted fear, being stoked up deliberately by the UK government and its advisers.

The facemask nonsense has nothing to do with public health. It is as divorced from reality as the Dutch Tulip Craze of the 17th Century.

The same is true of the quarantine nonsense, which has already led to a rash of stories about how ingenious Brits have made it back to our sceptred shores with minutes to spare before they would have had to “self-isolate” (quaere: does the government really believe that people are going to “self-isolate”? It’s another “fantasy law” from Boris-idiot).

As to those just beating the quarantine deadline, we have had, in the msm today, bicycling families just breasting the tape with minutes to spare, and an octet which, having performed in a monastery in Normandy, hired a French fishing boat to get back to Newhaven in time. Stylish. In all, a Dunkirk-lite reprise. As Marx said, “first time tragedy, second time farce”…(and cf. Churchill/Boris-idiot…).

A quarantine (even an ineffective “self-isolation” one) might have had some logic behind it in March or April, but not now. Like the facemask nonsense, it is completely pointless.

Another point worth noting is that the countries now seeing upsurges in “the virus” are the very ones stupid enough to have imposed severe “lockdowns”: Spain, Italy, France. Hello? Is anyone listening?

Meanwhile…

Thousands of people could die of cancer after the number of urgent hospital referrals plunged by 43 per cent during lockdown…As fewer patients see their GPs with cancer symptoms – before being referred to specialists for scans – the disease is being picked up too late, experts fear.” [Daily Mail] https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8632271/Thousands-people-die-cancer-urgent-hospital-referrals-plunged-250-000.html

The poundland KGB police state

This is what Britain now is, a place where people can be questioned by the police, not for anything truly criminal, but for posting about matters online, even posts which the police themselves accept, and in advance of interview, are not criminal! This is what the police now are— socio-politicized, biased, and riddled with Common Purpose drones at a high level.

Note that that letter was from the Nottinghamshire Police, a force which has one of the least-impressive records in dealing with real crime; the same is true of Derbyshire Police, who have been snooping on and persecuting the satirical singer-songwriter Alison Chabloz for years.

Snowden

Interesting report: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8631747/Trump-says-look-strongly-pardoning-Edward-Snowden-calling-traitor.html

Snowden was obviously not an agent of Russian Intelligence at the start, meaning at the time of his flight from Hawaii. The Russians would have extracted him much more efficiently if he had been an agent. Instead, he went to Hong Kong and messed around there for days, risking capture and/or extradition.

Still, interesting that Trump is considering the possibility of a pardon. Unless, of course, the news is just bait, to interest Snowden in returning to the USA.

Very strange: a woman who, in effect, “inherited” her seat from her husband (who was recently convicted of some pretty silly sex crimes). A travesty.

As I have written previously on this blog, I repost quite a few Peter Hitchens tweets, not because I am a “supporter” or “fan” of Hitchens, but because he is quite often correct. That especially applies to his views about the “virus” panic and the absurd (and either mistaken or malicious) governmental over-reaction to it.

I have blogged previously about Hitchens himself: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/05/19/peter-hitchens-and-his-views/

Interesting…I blogged only last week about the 2019 General Election, the role of Nigel Farage and Richard Tice, and that Claire Fox peerage: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2020/08/09/diary-blog-9-august-2020/

Of course, Hitchens is right to say that discontent should grow and be expressed now that the State is seriously restricting freedoms such as movement, association, personal clothing, as well as free speech; and the fact is that Parliament now scarcely exists except as a rubber stamp. However, if I were to state my hopes for what might happen, I should no doubt have evil and malicious snoopers reporting me to the “authorities” in what has become a toytown police state. So I stay silent, or at least superficially silent.

A facade of democracy

We see repeatedly that, in the UK, voters vote only for parties, not for individuals. One example was the ignominious defeat of Simon Danczuk in Rochdale in 2017. His first election, in 2010, resulted in a vote-share of about 36%. His second election, in 2015, gave him a vote-share of about 46%. Both times under Labour label. After Danczuk had been deselected by Labour, he tried to get elected as Independent in 2017. Result? 1.8% (883 votes). Fifth place (out of six). The new Labour candidate won, with 58% of the vote.

Another example. Anne Milton was Conservative Party MP for Guildford from 2005. She also won the elections of 2010, 2015 and 2017, at the last of which her vote-share was nearly 55%.

An important distinction from the Danczuk case was there had been no scandal attaching to Anne Milton; she was deselected (the whip taken away by Boris Johnson) purely because of her opposition to “no-deal Brexit” and she was given the chance to stand again as a Conservative Party candidate at Guildford if she dropped her opposition. She refused and stood as Independent.

Anne Milton’s principled stance availed her naught; neither did her 14 years as MP for Guildford, nor her uninvolvement in any expenses scandal (or any other scandal). She got only 7.4% (over 4,000 votes, a 4th place out of 5) at the 2019 General Election. The new Conservative Party candidate won, with about 45%.

While Anne Milton’s defeat in 2019 was more honourable than that of Danczuk, the result, in bottom-line terms, was similar, a bad defeat. Her only consolation: she retained her deposit.

The “main parties” (and that really means just Labour and Conservative) still have a complete stranglehold because the sleepy voters are still voting mainly for a label.

Fear of “the virus”

Look at the tweet below (the reply by “Stalker”):

This is a very good example of the pathology, not of “the virus” itself, but of the fear of it. A teacher in a State secondary school resigns because he fears that he might contract “the virus” by being in the same building or room as children or young persons. Well, it is possible, of course, though unlikely; any such school students infected would probably themselves not show any symptoms and be in no danger.

As for the teacher, yes, he might pick it up from those pupils, though it is probably a thousand to one chance. If the teacher were unlucky and were infected, his chance of needing any medical intervention would be small, hundreds to one. His chance of being seriously affected would be tiny. His chance of dying from “the virus” would be even smaller. His age is not mentioned, but probably under 60, probably under 50. His fear is misplaced.

Thus we see the way in which the fear whipped up by the government of clowns and its ludicrous “SAGE” advisers has led many rather unthinking people to make panicked decisions.

In any case, the alternative is simply to have no schools open until an effective vaccine is found and deployed, which might be months, years, or never. I have little respect for the UK educational system as it is, but the result of, in effect, having no education at all given to the young, would be worse (probably).

Personally, I prefer to keep out of this “Labour Party antisemitism” stuff, not because I am afraid of being sued (least of all by the extreme Jewish lobby solicitor of choice, Mark Lewis) but because I am not a Labour supporter or member, and am well-known for being an independent anti-Zionist, overall, and a social nationalist.

I am confident that I can defend myself, should it be necessary, against any charge of defamation by anyone, but I have a copper-bottomed armour anyway, inasmuch as I have no money or real property now, so anyone who sues me will lose out (hugely, I would make sure of that) even if (unlikely) they were to win in court. Checkmate.

Ha ha! I typed, in error, “unkikely” instead of “unlikely“. I suppose that a psychologist could make something of that!

If anyone wants to see what I have written about that self-promoting fake, Mark Lewis, please use the search function on my blog. There are a number of what I think are interesting articles (certainly many thousands of people have seen them). They are quite hard-hitting (though accurate) and date from late 2018 and early 2019 .

Lewis has never threatened to sue me, not once, though I believe —and have reason to believe— that he was involved behind the scenes both in the malicious complaint made about me to the police in early 2017 by the “Campaign Against Antisemitism” and in the complaint made about me by “UK Lawyers for Israel” to the Bar Standards Board in 2014 (which resulted in my disbarment in late 2016). See https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/ and https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/

Lewis had the chance to sue me in 2018 or 2019 if he thought that I was libelling him. He was well aware of my blog posts. He never did sue, he never threatened to sue. My impecuniosity may have been part of the reason, but I maintain that another reason was because my blog tells the truth. It is not a pack of lies but true right the way through.
