Any decent country would hold Green upside down and shake him until all the gold fell out of his pockets. Maxwell, of course, has long ago gone up the chimney, and his daughter, the one-time chief “ho” of the Jew paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, is in prison in New York and awaiting trial.

I have favoured Leave or Brexit for at least 10 years, but realized years ago, at the time of and after the 2016 referendum, that not only was it being sabotaged in various ways, but simultaneously mismanaged by a number of incompetent “Conservative” ministers, among them several members of the present Cabinet of clowns.
It seems that the UK will (in reality) leave the EU soon. Plans seem not very advanced as to what will then happen and how to deal with it all.

It seems that about 70,000 people are being infected with “the virus” daily in the UK, and about 1 person out of every 350 (known to be) infected is dying of or with it. Bearing in mind that only a fraction of actually infected people are known to be so infected, the real figure may be as low as one death per several thousand infectees.
Britain must open up again, get rid of all the interfering measures in place for months, and breathe free again. In particular, the facemask nonsense must be chucked in the bin.

Scottish “independence”
As said on previous occasions, if the Scottish people want to separate from England and Wales (and Northern Ireland), well, fine.
It does, I admit, seem to me a strange idea of both “nationalism” and “independence” to remain under the wing (or thumb, or heel) of the EU, the international banks, NATO (probably), not to mention the Jewish-Zionist lobby (which plainly has its claws into Sturgeon and the SNP). Also, “nationalism” that encourages migration-invasion? The SNP minister now cracking down on free speech is a Pakistani. How does that work? Oh…I see. Said Pakistani has a Scottish accent, so he is more Scottish than am I, despite my Franco-Scottish surname and likely part-Scottish ancestry. Or so believes the SNP.
Of course, any departure from the Union would be the end for the Labour Party at Westminster. True, Labour only has 1 MP in a Scottish seat anyway, but if the SNP departs from Westminster, along with its 47 MPs, that leaves the Conservative Party all but unassailable at Westminster on present showing.
Scottish independence would remove any chance for Labour to form even a minority government at Westminster. The 47 SNP MPs,1 Scottish Labour MP and 4 Scottish LibDems, 52 in all, would not be available to form a coalition. Labour, on present showing, would be left with 225 Labour and Labour Co-op MPs, whereas the Conservatives would still have 358 MPs.
Even taking into account all the other non-Conservative Party MPs, that would still leave the Cons with a majority of something like 118, i.e. 38 more than at present. An even more firmly-embedded “elected dictatorship”.
The arithmetic is stark. The Labour Party could not even pretend to be a potential party of government.
On the above premises, Scottish “Independence” might not be completely unattractive to some of the Conservative Party…

Is there anything in the idea of a coalition of “anti-Tory” parties? Well, I blogged in the past about how Labour’s only hope in 2019 would have been to get a plurality of MPs at the General Election, and then to have cobbled together a coalition with the SNP and others.
Never happened, because Nigel Farage stabbed his own Brexit Party in the back and betrayed his own candidates, standing them down so that the Conservative Party had a free run in almost all constituencies. That alone gave the Conservative Party its present 80-seat majority. In return, we see Farage still given credence by the msm (he even has his own radio show). He may also have received a multi-million bung offshore (though I concede that I have no evidence of that, just a strong suspicion).
If the Labour Party were able to treat with the SNP at the next General Election, then what? What would the SNP want? Nothing less than a binding Independence referendum, or even a pledge of Independence outright.
If Scotland became “independent”, though, the Labour Party at Westminster would lose, on present showing, its only Scottish Labour MP, and also the support of 47 SNP MPs, as well as that of the 4 Scottish LibDem MPs.
That would leave the speculated grand “anti-Tory” coalition with 226 Labour and Labour Co-op MPs, 7 LibDems, 3 Plaid Cymru, 2 Northern Irish SDLP, 1 Northern Irish Alliance MP, and Caroline Lucas, the “solitary Green”. 240 MPs altogether, even with all of those parties on board.
As against that, again on present showing, the Conservative Party would have 358 MPs (the present complement of 364 minus the 6 Scottish Conservatives).
Result? A Conservative Party majority of 118.
It can be seen that the “anti-Tory” grand coalition mooted is a house built on sand.
The political system is sclerotic. The public in England itself has a “choice” between “two main parties” which are now (Corbyn having been booted out) again very similar. We see that vis a vis the “panicdemic”. The official Opposition is not only not opposing, but actually saving the Government’s bacon, as seems likely next week, in the “Coronavirus” debate. The only real opposition, as I predicted, is now coming from Conservative Party MPs.
Proportional Representation is necessary in the UK, but unlikely at present. Even that, though, will not save Labour. Once FPTP is gone, the System parties lose a degree of “credibility” that they now have over upstart parties.
…and then, just as the people were in despair at ever escaping from “the virus” (i.e. from government “measures”, “rules” etc), there appeared a white knight on the horizon— the vaccine(s). Moreover, vaccines developed in a fraction of the usual time. Am I wrong in being just a little suspicious? Not that I believe that the vaccines are actually going to kill everyone. Certainly not in the short term. There may, however, be unexpected aspects which will only become known to people generally in the future.

I was listening to Radio 4 in the early evening. There was a report about the delay to remedial work ordered to hundreds of tower blocks etc, ordered by reason of fire hazard after the Grenfell fire.
What struck me (apart from the typically-slow government reaction and equally typical maladministration) was amazement at how councils and private contractors were ever allowed to install cladding which, in one case mentioned, is said to be as flammable “as petrol“, leading to a necessity to maintain a 24/7 firewatch on that building (in which people are still actually living!). What has been so extraordinary about the “resistible rise” of Cummings is that (ref. my blog posts about him) he actually has no track record of measurable achievement at all. Left university with a so-so degree, somehow got into Russian business (but nothing solid), tried to set up an airline in the 1990s using bits of decrepit Soviet property (the airline made one flight only). Then Cummings gets a job with the Conservative Party and somehow acquires a reputation for maverick brilliance. A mirage. In the old Soviet joke, “we hear that you cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs. Well, we see the eggshells, but where’s the breakfast?”
I always believe in the Biblical injunction to “judge the tree by its fruits”. I judge an ideology by its effects and by the behaviour of its adherents. I judge a government by its acts, omissions and achievements. Look at the chaos of the present government, in every way!
Cummings is not entirely to blame for the present chaos, which is soon going to get worse, with mismanaged Brexit about to come down the line. Boris-idiot, posing as Prime Minister, is the main culprit. Others, such as Johnson’s “ho”, are mere extras in the drama, but have, in the absence of proper government, taken on the role of active players.
In fact, the “eminence” of Cummings is symptomatic of Britain at the present time. It is a situation that has developed over the past decade or so. The “not what you know but who you know” scenario. We have seen the emergence of the no-salary “intern”, able to work unpaid for a year or more (and so create the foundation for a career) because the affluent parents or a family trust pay for everything. We have seen the unworthy but well-connected, the privileged trustafarians etc, become MPs, ministers, Cabinet ministers, even Prime Ministers and members of the House of Lords. A few names? In fact, the above is the flip-side of the likewise prevalent “identity” appointments: persons appointed to positions in government and/or as (very well-paid) TV talking heads because they are black, brown, female etc.

I wondered whether the police would at some point take an interest in the GoFundMe appeal set up for Stuchbery by his associate “@antifashwitch”, Roanna Carleton Taylor of Derbyshire (it gathered in nearly £12,000 from gullible people who wanted Stuchbery to sue Tommy Robinson using it, but there never was a case brought). I now see that the Twitter tweets, going back years, of both “@antifashwitch” and her misnamed organization “@Resisting_Hate_”, have almost all been deleted.
I have no idea whether the two facts are connected, or whether she has been trying to delete potential evidence of fraud, but it has caught my attention today.
I believe that “antifashwitch” has a rather “dodgy” background generally. Her personal connections have, if the Internet is to be believed, been investigated by the police in the past, and not just for political matters.
Incidentally, the Pakistani named in the GoFundMe appeal is or was, supposedly, the solicitor (a one-man-band “firm”) who was going to act for Stuchbery. All very odd.

Quite. As for the UK, the rural/suburban area of coastal Southern England where I live has 180,000 inhabitants within the District Council area. I read that, in the local government area in which I live (coastal Hampshire/Dorset border), 3 people have (supposedly) died of “the virus” in the past week. That is out of a total population, within the district council area, of about 180,000. So one person out of every 60,000…Sad for the people affected, but statistically close to zero.
Admittedly, this is a very widely spread area of about 4 or 5 small or very small towns, some villages, many isolated houses, farms and farming estates. Still, 1 out of every 60,000. Risk? Minimal.

I commented a while ago, and also not long after the unmerited Conservative Party “victory” in 2019, that in the absence of a viable official Opposition, any real opposition to the Boris-idiot government would come from within the Conservative Party itself. That has turned out to be the case. In the vote (scheduled for tomorrow) to approve the latest crazy “lockdown”, 80+ Conservative Party MPs are set to vote against, with others abstaining. The Labour Party, though, has stepped into the breach to support the Government!
In fact, Labour’s only “opposition” is to say, “Boris should have done it earlier, harsher, and better-run“… That’s not much of an Opposition…
In the absence of a decent Government and a decent Opposition, we see not only the rebellion of many Conservative Party MPs, but a vacuum opening up. “We” (most of the public) have been frightened out of “our” collective skin by a virus not infecting most people, and which kills about 1% of those who are infected in the UK. It has killed one individual person out of every 8,000 (!) on the Earth. Not one in eight, not one in 800, but one in 8,000!
“We” (most of the public) are wearing (being forced to wear) facemasks in shops, supermarkets, on trains (where a study has shown the chance of being infected without a facemask is only 11,000:1 (and so the chance of being infected on a train and then dying is about one in a million…). It’s mad.
Why are “we” complying with the above and other crazy “measures”? Well, partly because “we” (most people?) believe that “we” are both in danger of infection, and also that facemasks etc help to prevent that infection (which they do not, or only peripherally).
Then there is the fact that the “rules” are at least notionally “the law”, and most British people are still law-abiding most of the time. What is the plan of the international conspiracy (or “consensus”)?
First of all, the destruction of Europe as the leading population in the world. There are several ways in which the international conspiracy is plotting that.
First of all, by encouraging migration-invasion by blacks, browns and “yellows” (mainly Chinese).
Secondly, by making Europeans a minority in their own lands. This has several aspects. Firstly, as above: migration-invasion. Secondly, by births to non-Europeans but in Europe; thirdly, the propaganda which puts white Northern Europeans down in terms of history, culture, ability etc. You name it. The “Black Lives Matter” nonsense, the attack on our history (statues, heroic tales, great personalities etc).
It would also include the fact that the actual “black” population of the UK is only about 3% or 4%, and the whole black/brown/other non-European population no more than 20%, yet pretty much every TV ad now has blacks and/or mixed race individuals in it, not infrequently a white/black couple (usually a white woman with a black “husband” or “boyfriend”). That also applies to the popular “soaps” such as Emmerdale, and even the period dramas set in the almost entirely white England of 1940, 1950 or 1960 or so: Inspector George Gently, Grantchester etc. “...and is there still honey for tea?“

That led me to the tweets of another Blairite “Labour” ex-MP, Gloria del Piero. She managed to fall below even the Caroline Flint standard. Incredible. Both “Labour Friends of Israel” members.
Flint was also a noted expenses cheat and freeloader. She made millions out of being an MP for 22 years, not least by having the taxpayers buy her a second home (a flat in Victoria, Central London) via the MP expenses system. She also “employed” (also via expenses) her own husband, and claimed for anything and everything.

I heard a piece on BBC World Service about “the virus” as it is in Prague and the Czech Republic generally.
Earlier in 2020, the Czech government instituted one of the most severe “lockdowns” (and other measures) in the world. Now? The Czech Republic apparently has the second-highest rate of infections [known] in the world.
Nothing was said of how many people were having to be hospitalized or how many are dying. A temporary large hospital has been constructed, but according to the BBC reporter, the ventilators shown were “wheezing” without patients.
Conclusion? Nothing much from the BBC; from me, the conclusion that testing is up, known infections are up, but —perhaps— the number of actual deaths from the virus is not much —if at all— up. Also, that the severe “lockdown” of earlier this year has not stopped infection but —at most— merely delayed it.
It might have been better to allow infection to proliferate in the Spring and Summer, when hospitals are less busy generally. Same in the UK.
In the UK, the “lockdown” (shutdown of virtually the whole society) was meant to be, or at least presented to the public as, temporary, for a few weeks only, to “flatten the curve” of infection, the numbers hospitalized etc, and so “save the NHS”. In the contemporary phrase, “that went well”…
Here we are 6+ months later and, while the UK death rate (from “the virus” if not from everything else) is now low, technical infection is high and we still have “local” lockdowns amounting to a semi-national lockdown; also of course the intrusive and unnecessary facemask nonsense.

The latest “Campaign Against Antisemitism (“CAA”) “lawfare” outrage (along with the continuing affaire Chabloz) is the complaint against Nazim Ali, a pharmacist, who made a speech at the Al Quds march in London three years ago, in 2017.
The “CAA” did its usual thing of sneaking around hoping to record something “antisemitic” so that the CAA might complain to the police or to professional regulators.
The case is now before the professional regulatory tribunal for the pharmaceutical profession.
The same thing happened to Jez Turner of London Forum. His speech in Whitehall was overheard by CAA snoop Gideon Falter and/or others. The police and then Crown Prosecution Service [CPS] declined to prosecute, so the CAA used “lawfare”, going to the High Court to have the no-prosecution decision subjected to judicial review. The result was a stalemate, but the Crown Prosecution Service did “reassess” the matter, eventually prosecuting Jez Turner, who was, after a Crown Court trial, eventually sentenced to a year in prison, serving half. A hero.
After my unjust disbarment in October 2016, Falter, the “Director” of the CAA Jew-Zionist pressure group, said to the national Press (Judenpresse…) that my case proved that anyone in a recognized profession who said anything the CAA deemed “antisemitic” would suffer “devastating professional consequences“.
