Trump

Obviously, in a better world, a U.S. President unaware that his major NATO ally (the UK) is a nuclear power, or that Finland is an independent state, could not exist. Sadly, in a world where the least-equipped to be heads of government often are in such positions, this latest raft of Trump revelation is scarcely news.

We often assume, that is to say that many people often assume, that the wealthiest, or most powerful, or famous, individuals are in that position because they somehow merit it, or are more intelligent, skilled, educated than the average Joe. Often not so.

Back in the mid-1980s, I used to have a beer now and then with two brothers at the now-defunct Cafe Munchen (a London pub/cafe at St. Giles’ Circus, with marble tables and floors, and Bavarian beers on tap). One brother worked at Citibank. I asked him what Walter Wriston (then a major world financial figure and with whom that brother had worked) was like. He replied “just an ordinary boring American businessman”. [not a very nice person: “…in 1966, he married lawyer and businesswoman Kathryn Dineen. The British Royal Family prove the above contention in trumps (no pun intended). Charles is supposed to be the intellectual of the family, because he can and does read a few books, and takes an interest in a few things that do not involve shooting, fishing, riding, racing (of various kinds) or hunting foxes.

One would have to be kinder than I probably am to describe the royal princes and princelings as anything other than uncultured idiots: Edward, Andrew, Anne, William, Harry. And that’s before I even start on the “Royal Mulatta”!

So now we have Trump, but before we British laugh too loud at him, we should look a little closer home, at the Boris-idiot government. “Boris” may be marginally more glossy than Trump, thanks to Eton and Oxford, but he is just as much of a bad joke as a head of government; and that is before one even looks at the rest of the Cabinet.

The economic tsunami gathering

Seems that Boris-idiot and the Cabinet of fools are starting to understand what a storm is coming, a storm their policies have caused, at least in large measure. They do not, however, have any clue what to do about that storm; they have no idea how to deal with the problem. “Boris” now talks about “tough times ahead” but is trying to make it appear that events, i.e. Coronavirus, have caused the tough times, rather than his own misgovernment, notably the unnecessary shutdown of the economy.

Note first the “cultural appropriation”, as a person of unspecified origin (Pakistani? Mixed?) living in the UK talks about “our hard fought for and much prized freedom of speech“, the freedom of speech generations of British people fought for. Secondly, she cannot distinguish between “free speech” and a mob howling in a hostile manner at a lone person in the street. Also, how is it “peaceful” for a mob to follow one person down a street, howling imprecations against him? The aim is intimidation.

Second thick tweet of the day comes via faux-revolutionary scribbler and money-scrabbler (a part-Jew), Owen Jones:

The irony is that the native peoples and animals of Africa would have been so much better off today had Rhodes achieved his goal of bringing that continent, or much of it, under British control “from Cairo to the Cape”. Of course, none of the “Black Lives Matter” idiots even think about any of that; for them, the “whites” simply “exploited” the “blacks” until the “blacks” were “liberated” after WW2. Of course, the Rhodes statue is symbolic for the “protesters”. Their real target is not Rhodes but you and me as white British people.

Thinking about the above, though, it seems to me that not only the “antifa” idiots and the black mobs but also the “pro-statue” defenders have been sidetracked. The major battle is and will be over the society as a whole, not about the statues that adorn the squares and buildings. The artworks are ofsymbolic importance, though.

Vera Lynn

The death, at 103, of Vera Lynn, brings thoughts of WW2, of course, and of the sentimentality common to all sides in that terrible conflict. Vera Lynn herself was famous for several songs, but none more so than The White Cliffs of Dover, released in 1942:

The Germans also had such songs, of which the best known, I suppose, is Lili Marlene, which in fact predated the war (1939), but only became popular (with both English and German soldiers) in 1941 and 1942, after it had been translated into English and then initially broadcast by German radio station Soldatensender Belgrad, the former Radio Belgrade.

I am scarcely pro-Trump, but things have become quite out of hand when a private-enterprise quasi-monopoly can simply censor the U.S. President! In fact, there must be some ways put into place to prevent such censorship happening to anyone, not just heads of state.

I have been blogging, tweeting (before the Jews had me expelled from there), and speaking (at the London Forum in 2017) about this issue, i.e. the privatization of public space, for several years.

The msm are mostly still parrotting the line that “Coronavirus” caused the impending UK economic and social tsunami, when in fact it was the “lockdown” (shutdown) that (mostly) caused it and is still causing it (and don’t be duped into thinking that a few thousand fat young women poured into tight jeans and lining up outside Primark (desperate, presumably, to buy a larger size?) will make much difference.

Some commentators are belatedly forecasting 3 million unemployed, one or two are going as high as ten million.

Meanwhile, an opinion poll says that a third of the whole UK population are too scared to leave their houses! All because of a propaganda campaign which has been, arguably, the biggest farrago of untrue nonsense since the non-existent “gas chambers” of the “holocaust” narrative.

It recalls to my mind a weekend I once spent with the British Army, over 30 years ago, and “somewhere in Kent”. A mixed male/female group. We had to do exercises such as one where an area of woodland had been marked out with tape. This was “contaminated ground” and we had to work out weird and wonderful ways of crossing that area without touching the ground.

It was all taken very seriously by the attendees, all of us dressed in olive-green jump suits and with a number on the front and back. I think that mine was 22, or perhaps 21. People were only addressed by their number, not by name. That was a rule. Another was that the “contaminated ground” was to be treated as if real, though we knew that it was not.

That is “lockdown”, with its crazy rules that are mostly senseless, in accord with the make-believe “facts” about the “virus”.

You have to keep 6 feet apart at all times, and (until very recently) not drive (even in a sealed car) anywhere beyond X-miles from your home (the distance not specified but to be decided by any stray motorized Plods that you may encounter en route).

You can (now) go to Bicester Village shopping outlet with a thousand or more other shoppers inches apart, but you may not visit any friends or family not in your designated “bubble” (the details of which only you know about and no policemen can know about and so cannot enforce even if there were enough Plods to do so).

You must wear a facemask on buses, trains, or in hospitals, but only in England (not in Scotland or Wales), and no-one (in England) not wearing a mask or similar can use a bus or a hospital (but shops are OK…). Oh, and the World Health Organization said (until last week) that facemasks were unnecessary for most people. Still, “rules are rules”, so all wear one anyway, then go stand outside your houses and clap like complete idiots to show that you are good citizens or whatever…

If you are a Brit living overseas, or a foreign visitor, you can come to the UK, so long as you promise on Bible, Koran, Torah or the Selected Works of Marx that you will “self-isolate” for two weeks, and at an address which you will provide to immigration officials (no proof required) at Heathrow on arrival. Priti Patel truly is as thick as two short planks.

The whole thing has just become madder and madder.

China and other places

I was idly looking at pictures of some of the Chinese cities. Some are massive yet quite new. Take Shenzhen, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shenzhen , which scarcely existed until recent decades, though there were once historic villages in the area, much as Manchester in the UK expanded hugely in the 19thC from a modest starting point: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester

Once China had taken “the capitalist road”, albeit under “Communist” banners, the economy expanded, indeed exploded. I saw these photographs of Shenzhen:

I was in Hong Kong, and also Macau, in 2006. Fascinating, though I should not like to live there. I do tend to find fascinating what human beings can create in terms of cities and parks.

The Internet is incredible, though I expect that anyone born after 1985 or so simply accepts it as part of normal life. It is only now, looking at maps etc, that I realize how close and closely hemmed-in by massive Chinese urbanizations is Hong Kong. That is not obvious to the visitor, because Hong Kong is still cut off from “mainland” China both by high hills and by a “frontier closed area” which was initially established under British rule. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frontier_Closed_Area

In some areas, the border fence echoes those between the USA and Mexico, or between Israel and the West Bank

It may not be the same for Hong Kong inhabitants, but for the visitor, Hong Kong seems a world unto itself. It is only when you look at the map that you realize to what extent Hong Kong is a kind of isolated or reserved part of that vastly larger surrounding Chinese urbanization which laps at its borders like an ocean surrounding an island. The Shenzhen area has about 13 million inhabitants, compared to 7.5 million in Hong Kong.

I dislike the Chinese attitude to the natural world and particularly animals, but at the same time the Chinese are impressive in their capabilities and in their sense of scale.

I saw on TV the second of a three-part series about the microstate. I have never been there, though I have heard about it from people I know. I once had a Finnish girlfriend who loved it, and had been accustomed to going there once or twice per year. What she liked about it was the absence of detritus (inanimate or human) as compared to London and other cities; also the enveloping luxury.

I find (see above) “self-generating” cities and states very interesting. Places like Singapore. It does not mean that I should wish to live in one! Monaco is another place which would not suit me, for several reasons.

For one thing, whenever I see Monaco on TV, it looks so crowded that it resembles an anthill. This is in fact accurate, because the population density is about 48,000 persons per square mile, nearly three times as dense as Hong Kong and 2.5 times the density of Singapore.

Another aspect (admittedly judging only by what I have seen on TV) is that the foreign residents seem to have nothing but dollar signs, greed and emptiness in their eyes. As for the Monegasques, who are only about 8,000 out of a total population of 38,000, they are more of a clan than a nation, it seems to me.

The ultra-wealthy, who are there for the tax advantage and the police-state security, pay for their behaviour by having to spend at least some of their time there (again, my possibly jaundiced view…).

A “state” which covers only 4/5ths of a square mile, and which is therefore smaller than the combined Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens in London, is a bit of a joke from one point of view, but there it is. It has its function, just like, say, the Vatican, which has an area of less than 1/5th of a square mile. The one may not have many divisions in its “army” but has the spiritual allegiance (even today) of hundreds of millions of people; the other’s power lies in the facilitation of matters of money.

The TV documentary I saw spent some time with the ruler, Prince Albert, who (in what is almost rule by Divine right) is seemingly held in awe by his subjects and foreign residents. I was surprised to hear him sound exactly like an American. I knew that his mother was the film star, Grace Kelly, but to see him sound and look rather like an American businessman was unexpected. On the surface, he seemed amiable enough, though.

Prince Albert lives in a rather Ruritanian set-up, which made me laugh, but in fact Monaco’s princely house is actually one of the oldest in Europe, if not the very oldest. I suppose that that is because, until the late 19th Century (when Monaco’s fortunes were transformed by the Casino), this was one of the poorest parts of Europe. In other words, no-one could be bothered to invade it, especially with it being so small (though it was relieved of Menton and another town during the 19thC).

The documentary showed the Palace Guard, in smart white uniforms spoiled rather by black parade boots. Behind the scenes, there was an efficient-looking military and bodyguard operation.

A strange little enclave, but efficiently run. I did not know before (or from the documentary), but saw today in Wikipedia, that there is still a railway there (underground).

Coronavirus lockdown nonsense etc

Patronizing insults from the ignorant are a Twitter speciality. When I was on Twitter, I was called everything under the Sun by people who (often behind a pseudonym) evidently thought themselves far better informed, educated or intelligent than me. I recall one little Irish bumboy who, having read my background in brief, as on this blog, informed his few Twitter followers about how unimportant I was and how far I had fallen into obscurity and poverty. Yes, a little student bumboy from Southern Ireland (who has probably never been beyond — or even to— Dublin in his life, who has no profession, no job, no future…).

Twitter specializes in the sort of people who, though semi-literate, will call you an idiot, or a “knuckledragger”, for not wanting the UK to become even more of a multikulti dustbin. Then there are those who will say “he must never have met a black/Muslim/Jew/whatever“. They would probably be quite surprised to discover, inter alia, how many countries I have been to, including some, in various parts of the world, where I have even lived, worked and, indeed, been married! Yet people whose sole exposure to other cultures has been a week in Majorca, or a gap-year stint teaching English in Thailand or bumming around in Goa (or even just a weekly Chinese takeaway), will assume that they are far more informed than me…

Likewise, you get people (who have never achieved the slightest thing in their whole lives) who will talk about how those with whom they disagree are “old”, “failures”, “without influence”, even “morons” etc. They, almost invariably, are looking in the mirror (even as regards age, sometimes)!

That’s Twitter. Peter Hitchens is (must be) far more patient than me. As I have speculated before, he must regard it as some kind of duty, perhaps a religious duty, to debate, at least for a while, even with those who insult him.

I just have no time for the nonsense of it.

2020-2022 and beyond

My knowledge of numerical cycles told me that 2022 is the first really significant year, in terms of the Zeitgeist, since 1989. However, the logical Western post-1400 AD brain said to me “how?”.

Now, with two years to go, it already looks more likely than it did a few months ago that 2022 could see a sea-change. In the UK, with unemployment, poverty, lack of opportunity all set to soar, with a government of near-imbeciles in power, and with an official Opposition no better and just as Jew/Zionist-ridden, there is a real chance for a social-national movement of importance, for the first time since 1939 or even 1929.

Votes and seats slid in 2015 and then 2017 (though number of seats increased from 8 to 12 in 2017), though there was an upturn in 2019: over 3.5 million votes (an upturn of over 50%) but a decline in number of seats (from 12 to 11) thanks to the way the FPTP system and the boundaries of seats work in Britain (cf. 2017).

Looking into it a little more, it can be seen that the LibDems benefited a little from being the only 100% Remain party. Next time? I still think that the LibDems will be wiped out. Few of their MPs have a strong local following to set against the party-label vote swings. Also, what is the standout profile of the LibDems now? They have no real identity, it seems to me.

Surprisingly, the LibDem membership numbers are not unhealthy: over 120,000, it seems, which is in the same ballpark as the Conservative Party. However, that alone does not bring electoral success (cf. Labour, with perhaps 600,000 members).

I should expect the LibDems to decline further and perhaps to disappear, at least as an independent party.

Look at the Telegraph itself now! Uncritical Boris Johnson “Conservative” propaganda, and at an excruciatingly low intellectual level. Ironically, though, it was the Telegraph, in the 2005-2010 Parliament, that broke the MP expenses scandal, one of the most serious stories of the past half-century. It does say something about the UK’s “free Press”, though, that MP expenses were an open secret for years, certainly since 1997 and the corruption Blair brought into UK politics, yet were not investigated until the Telegraph decided to take it all seriously and to print.

In the 1970s, even some of the less-serious or less intellectual newspapers, such as the Sunday Express, sometimes contained interesting first-person accounts and so on.

Look at, say, The Times now! Pathetic and shallow “Conservative” and Zionist propaganda. As for the Sunday Times magazine, more or less what used to be called a “woman’s magazine“, full of ads and with little substance in its content.

True, those newspapers all have an online presence now, but the Times and most of the Telegraph are behind a paywall and, like the others, have to compete for public attention with other sources of news, some of which are, mirabile dictu, not so (((infested and contaminated))).

Where I deviate from Hitchens in respect of the above is that the number of “lives blighted” should be at least 36,000, maybe as high as 90,000. Why? Most employees laid off have wives (or husbands), children too. Then there is the knock-on effect on the local retail sector as local purchasing power diminishes. Also, redundancies in the supply chain.

Had to emerge from my cave to complete my appointed rounds. On the return journey, my less than contented mood was made worse as I went through a more or less suburban area, only to see some rabbits waiting at the end of their short drives or standing in gardens, about to participate in the State-promoted and socially-mandated “clapathon”. Not many, about one house out of about 20, I would say. Mostly very elderly, though there were a few odd children too. The sight of all the rabbits standing waiting, like robots, or serfs populating Potemkin villages, irritated me even more than it usually would.

So it begins…

I agree with Hitchens, as I mostly have in the past few months of Government-created chaos, muddle, and approaching economic collapse.

The tweeter above is referring to Rishi Sunak https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rishi_Sunak , the Indian whom Boris-idiot made Chancellor, and who the shallow msm and Twitter mob lauded as a financial (and political) genius a couple of months ago for having introduced the “furlough” scheme, via which the obligations of companies to pay their employees were in effect transferred to the State which then shut down much of the economy.

A few (including me, Hitchens etc) saw through this scheme as a disastrous and ultimately pointless waste of resources which, combined with the shutdown (“lockdown”) would destroy the UK economy.

The msm and Twitter mob thought otherwise. “Rishi Sunak for PM!” was the cry. What a brilliant man, to throw away £8 billion (maybe £11 billion) a month “supporting [workers, families] etc”… Surely such a man must eventually become Prime Minister?

Well, I doubt it (even leaving aside his origins). The “furlough” plan in fact did not simply keep employees financially warm until “lockdown” ends, at which time, in Sunak’s own mis-chosen words, the economy will “bounce back” in a V-shaped “recovery”.

At the time, I blogged that, because this virus “crisis” (made much worse by governmental panic in the UK, EU and elsewhere) has led to economic slowdown, crucially to collapse in demand internationally, the result will be, certainly in the UK, not a “V-shaped recovery” but an “L-shaped non-recovery”.

Sunak may have ridden high in public opinion for a couple of months, but I do not see him prospering politically after at least many wake up to what is really happening. Any fool can throw golden sesterces to the plebs from his imperial chariot. For a while…

Sunak alone is not to blame for the “lockdown” and so not to blame for the coming recession (which may even become a depression), but he is to blame for being part of a Cabinet of fools that shut down the economy for months unnecessarily, and for both introducing and now extending a misconceived “pay workers £2,500 a month not to work and not to complain or protest” scheme.

Also, for going along with his foolish and incompetent Government’s strategy of scaring the British people (and other UK inhabitants) out of their collective skin, so that many are now too frightened (or anyway simply unwilling) to return to what was normal life.

The reason behind the extension to October (without even any reduction) in the “furlough” payments, is plainly political, to prevent or make far less likely any protest or worse from the “furloughed” employees.

However, the real state of the pre-Coronavirus UK economy, now that the froth of low-paid McJobs (“gig economy,” fake “self-employment”, zero hours contracts, and other poorly-paid exploitation disguised by, formerly, Working Tax Credits etc, and now by Universal Credit payments) has been swept into the bin, is becoming plain to see. Desolate.

As for that sacred cow of British people, house prices, the values are dropping like a stone, as I predicted. Already we see that buyers are demanding discounts of up to 20%. Before long, that will be 50% or more. Lending is unlikely to be easily-available from now on, and there will be fewer people buying. and with lower capital available, whether their own or via mortgage monies. People will still want or have to move house, but will have less money with which to do so. Result— lower house prices at all levels.

Companies are shedding workers by the hundred, by the thousand, now. Some companies are giving up the ghost entirely, such as the once-famous Antler suitcases (est. 1914), which went yesterday, with the closure of 18 stores and the sacking of the entire workforce of 200 staff. Other companies laid off thousands on the same day.

Today, we see that Rolls-Royce in Derby will lay off 9,000 workers across the world, and most of the losses will be in Derby itself.

When the “lockdown” nonsense —and with it the “furlough” scheme— ends, in the Autumn, supposedly, there will be company collapses on a scale not seen since the 1930s, very likely.

Social nationalism from Autumn 2020

The coming few years could finally see social nationalism emerge victorious in the UK, but that can only happen if there is a co-ordinated movement led by a “vanguard” party. One does not now exist. The small groups which do exist have little or no credibility.

Looking down the road, we can now see that economic collapse in a decadent society opens the way for us. It is only two years now until 2022, the most significant year since 1989 (on the 33-year cycle). 2022-1989-1956 (the year of my own birth)-1923.

For me personally, 2022 will probably be the last marker-year in the 33-year cycle that I see in my present incarnation, because in 2022 I shall reach the age of 66.

Queen of the Desert

Saw a film on TV starring Nicole Kidman, Queen of the Desert [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_of_the_Desert_(film) ], about the English explorer and pioneering traveller, Gertrude Bell [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gertrude_Bell]. She helped to draw, with others whom she got to know, such as Lawrence of Arabia (T.E. Lawrence), the map of the Middle East as it was from the 1920s through to the present day, or at least until very recently.

The film was a quality production, but slow. It is more like, in the American phrase, an “art-house movie”, than anything likely to achieve box-office popularity. It was a major financial flop in 2015, I have now read.

I found the film quite compelling though, if you stick with it. At the end, rather moving.

Huw Merriman MP

In one of the ad breaks of the above-named film, I saw a few minutes of Sky News. A scruffy-looking MP hitherto unknown to me, Huw Merriman [Con, Bexhill and Battle], was speaking. I did not hear the whole of his interview, but what I did hear sounded rather dull. I looked him up on Wikipedia etc out of mere curiosity:

I see that he attended a Secondary Modern school (I did not know that some were still operating under that title as late as the 1980s), and then Durham University. Called to the Bar sometime around 1995, he seems to have practised briefly in criminal law before leaving the practising Bar to become an employed lawyer somewhere. He worked as a salaried in-house lawyer for 17 years until elected to the very safe seat of Bexhill and Battle in 2015.

He also seems to have been “economical with the truth” about his in-house lawyer role. He gives the impression that he was somehow appointed to “sort out” the mess at Lehman Brothers, after its collapse. Elsewhere though, I have read that he was working for Lehman Brothers itself, in earlier years. Maybe he was appointed to the latter role because of the former one. (also, disappointing that the BBC website thinks that “led” —past tense— is spelled “lead”. Still, that is where we are in these times of collapsing standards across the board).

On the face of it, Merriman does not seem to be a particularly nice person, and I see that his Parliamentary career has stalled. He started to climb the Government ladder in the 2010-2015 Parliament by being appointed PPS, latterly to the then Chancellor, Philip Hammond. However, he now holds no Government appointment:

Coronavirus

It is clear that the former epidemic/pandemic has tailed off now in the UK. We shall never know for sure, but it seems most likely that Coronavirus swept through unnoticed in the first month or two of 2020 (possibly even December 2019), but that most people had no symptoms, or mild symptoms. Others were probably misdiagnosed (“all clap now…”) before the new virus was publicized. The “lockdown” was unnecessary, apart from nasty “clubs”, pubs, mass entertainment and sporting events, and the Underground and buses (which never were stopped, though dim Sadiq Khan reduced the number of trains, and coaches on trains, so making infection far more likely!).

Now, the government of fools is busy slamming shut stable doors after the horses have bolted.

Prince Charles

The Prince of Wales always seems to go out of his way to make a fool of himself. I do not totally blame him. He thinks that he is somehow helping. He is not. Most people will just laugh (despite the seriousness of both the message and the situation behind it).

Naturally, the public see someone who is hugely privileged, vastly wealthy, and whose milieu is one of similarly-privileged parasites, to use a harsh word, and see no reason why they should pick for free, or for minimum wage, fruit and veg for farmers, many of whom are fairly affluent if not rather rich, and who receive large UK and EU subsidy payments as well.

Many may hurl insults such as “send Harry!” or even “get the Royal Mulatta to pick that cotton!”…or indeed might suggest that schools such as Eton College organize “Patriotic Picking” sessions…

This harvest crisis is typical of what happens when you have a government of fools incapable of organizing anything, and headed by a part-Jew public entertainer who is plainly out of his depth.

Ah. So now that “financial genius” Rishi Sunak says that things are about to get very tough indeed:

What he fails to add is that most of the pain will have been because he, Boris-idiot and the rest of the crew shut down the UK economy unnecessarily, and have decided to continue much of that shutdown into the Autumn despite the fact that the Coronavirus has basically swept through and gone now.

The very same day, a large energy company made 2,500 workers redundant.

These companies may have been struggling before, but have now been killed off, or in some cases mortally wounded, though they may survive until the “furlough” payments end. What is killing these companies, incidentally, is not “Coronavirus”, nor the “Covid-19 situation”, but the actions of this government in shutting down the economy and society for months, completely unnecessarily.

Tweets of interest seen so far today

Again, this by Hitchens hits the nail on the head. Why oh why do people simply accept without question what deadheads like Boris-idiot and little Matt Hancock say? I put it down to centuries-ingrained English or British deference, a class-based behaviour, though in fact “Boris” is a part-Jew, part-Turk, of very peculiar origins, and basically acting a part, the “upper-class” “Englishman”, neither of which he is. The training in privilege received at Eton, then at Oxford, helped. As for the rest of the present Cabinet, they are mostly Jews or part-Jews, Indians etc, and the few English ones of a “beggar on horseback” type, such as Hancock.

Sadly, a certain confident manner and a Standard English accent (perceived as “posh” by the plebs) gets many mediocre types rather far, not least many MPs. People really should look at the real levels of intelligence, education and other qualities of “our” MPs. Very poor, for the most part.

I have to say that, though I am far from agreeing on everything with Peter Hitchens, he must have the patience of a saint, the endurance of a Trojan, and the hide of a rhinoceros to put up with the Twitter mob as he does. I admit that I myself would simply not have the patience. I can only assume that Hitchens perceives what he does on Twitter as a duty of some kind laid upon him.

One aspect that made me laugh from the start of the Coronavirus “pandemic” (which is now, in the UK, not even an epidemic) is that all or almost all the pseudo-socialist mob on Twitter have been in favour of ever-more restriction of liberty, ever-more rules and ever-stricter “lockdown”. It is one of their psychological flaws. The need or perceived need to be told what to do.

One saw it in the Brexit situation, that idea that the UK’s civil liberties etc (free speech being the greatest), fought and struggled for over hundreds of years by British people could now only be maintained by a pack of tired Eurotrash politicians and bureaucrats in places like Brussels and Berlin and Strasbourg. In fact, the wish not to be free was palpable in the Remain camp.

Indeed, would anyone think himself “free” in an EU where to question any of the often absurd details of the “holocaust” fable is actually a criminal offence?!

We have seen, all through this “crisis” or scare, that the Labour Party official Opposition has been pathetic, just supporting the Government! Really really pathetic. I think I understand why Keir Starmer is doing it. He really, at heart, would like to see Labour as part of a fake “National Government”, thus giving Labour some reflected credibility as part of that Government. “Boris”, though, thanks to his unmerited and unexpected 80-seat Commons majority, does not need Labour. The result is that Labour is a total irrelevance.

Likewise the TUC. I remember from my teenage years the TUC as a vast, monolithic, almost Soviet bloc of unions, powerful and of national importance whether one supported or opposed their actions. Today on, I think, Sky News, up pops Frances O’Grady, its General Secretary, and all she can do, really, is bleat a little. A waste of space. The TUC still has 5.6 million members (Wikipedia; another source says only 3.69M), but that is only about 1 in 5 employees; if you include the self-employed, probably 1 in 6. Like Labour, near-irrelevant.

Labour Is The Party of…? Labour Is The Party For…?

The most recent opinion polls [see below] must make sobering reading for Keir Starmer and his colleagues.

Now, we all know how flawed opinion polls are, how they only broadly reflect public opinion, how they cannot be exactly aligned to the likely outcome of British general elections because of the First Past The Post [FPTP] elctoral system and because of the way that boundaries are drawn:

Yes, all that is true. However, no party supported by 1% of the electorate in an  opinion poll has ever gone on to get 50% of the popular vote; likewise, no party has ever been valued at 50% of the popular vote, but then crashed to 1% at election time. A leas, as ar as I know. The opinion polls are not that inaccurate. I suppose that the nearest to such a situation was in 2019, when, at one point, Brexit Party was estimated to have a popular support in the region of 25%, but crashed to 2% in the actual election.

Having said the above, the 25%+ scored in the opinion polls by Brexit Party was well ahead of the actual election result. The polls taken nearer to polling day were fairly accurate, all putting Farage’s instant “party” at under 5%.

In other words, looking at the most recent opinion polls, Labour is now in really serious trouble. Some of the Jews who wanted rid of Corbyn are now half-heartedly praising Keir Starmer, as are msm scribblers, saying that there is now a real Opposition (etc). Well, Keir Starmer is married to a Jewish woman, and his children are being brought up in a Jewish milieu. The “support” for Starmer from “them” is therefore unsurprising.

To continue the theme, we all know that “a week is a long time in British politics”, as Harold Wilson said in the 1960s. All one can say is that, at present, in May 2020, Labour is on the ropes. Somewhere around 30% to 33%. Its 2019 General Election result was 32.1% of the popular vote. My conclusion? Getting rid of Corbyn has not helped Labour as a party at all. Not that the Jews as a group care. They, as a group, vote “Conservative” anyway. Only about 5% of Jews vote Labour these days. Their only interest is that Corbyn has gone and that, along with that, the Jewish-Zionist element has regained control of Labour.

Clinton once said that he could (and did) reduce “welfare” benefits to the bare bones because the poorer part of American society will still vote Democrat. As he said, “where else will they go?“. Until they did (go). First to the Republicans under George W. Bush, then to Obama, the, er, Great White Hope (or whatever), and then, in desperation, to Donald Trump (under Republican banner).

Look at the UK. NWO/ZOG political superstar Tony Blair and his advisers said, of what some call the UK “white working class”, “where can they go?“. Well, now we know (so far). The Scots working classes left first, favouring the faux-“nationalist” SNP.

Back in 1997, Scottish Labour held or won 56 out of the then 72 Scottish seats at Westminster. Vote-share 45.6%. Since the 2019 General Election, Scottish Labour has had 1 seat at Westminster (out of 59) on a vote-share of 18.6%. For the first time since 1918, Scottish Labour is only the 4th party in Scotland, in terms of seats. 1959-2015, it was always the 1st party. It slipped to 2nd in 2015, 3rd in 2017 and 4th in 2019.

True, Scottish Labour still received a vote-share of 18.6% in 2019, but that counts for little in FPTP voting. That share was, in any case, the lowest Labour vote in Scotland since 1910.

The SNP supremacy since 2015 means that Labour, as a UK national party, has effectively no chance of a majority at Westminster, and that the best it can hope for is an arrangement with the SNP, which after all, is a kind of social-democratic party. That’s assuming that Labour in England and in Wales can improve its position. Any such uplift in Labour fortunes is very doubtful.

As can be seen, almost as many former Labour voters abstained as voted for all the other parties put together.

The anti-Corbyn element in Labour and the msm (basically a Jewish claque) said that Corbyn was the reason voters were unwilling to vote Labour. That was partly true, though mainly because the Judenpresse had been hitting at him for 4 years. There were other factors, some connected with Corbyn, some not.

What does a symbol mean? If nothing, then the party whose symbol it is, is nothing.

We have seen that the Scottish “working classes” etc have largely deserted Labour. In fact, now that Corbyn is gone, it may be that Labour’s 18.6% vote in 2019 will become closer to 10% or lower whenever the next general election is held.

We have also seen that the English “working classes” have been deserting Labour. That is especially the case in the North and Midlands, the so-called “red wall” of the past. The scandal of the Muslim Pakistani rape gangs killed Labour for many, as Labour’s Common Purpose placemen and women in politics, local government, the police and (inevitably) social services ignored the widespread abuse of white English girls by (mainly) Pakistanis.

Likewise on the wider immigration point. The “Conservatives” have been hopeless on mass immigration (aka “migration-invasion”) and basically just “talk a good game”, but Labour actually and deliberately encouraged the migration invasion, in order to destroy Britain’s race and culture. The UK electoral system, as it applies in England at least, is binary. At present, the two parties supposedly opposed to each other are not in equal positions. The Conservative Party, having fluked a large majority, is in government for the moment, and probably until 2024, certainly until 2022. The Labour Party has become a total irrelevance.

As I have previously blogged (and, before the Jews had me expelled from Twitter, tweeted), Labour is now the party of the public service employees, of the blacks and other ethnic minorities (except the Jews) and of the mostly urban, maybe young or young-ish supporters of failed “multiculturalism” and pseudo-socialism. About 25% of the population. There are some old Labour loyalists around, too. In toto, maybe 30% of the population. Which is where Labour is in the polls. I cannot see Labour getting much beyond that now. Keir Starmer may be without scandal (as far as we know) but he is as dull as ditchwater. New ideas for society? None.

When you take away old-style socialism, when the old Labour communities in the industrial heartland of England no longer exist, when Labour no longer represents Britain’s history, race and culture, what is left? Nothing.

The same or similar, mutatis mutandis, could be said about the Conservative Party, up to a point, but the misnamed “Conservatives” still have a southern England voting bloc which, though ageing and fraying, is still there.

To return to those words of Clinton and Blair, “where will they go?”. Well, not to Labour (from other parties). To apathy, but only so long as doing nothing is less painful than doing something.

Labour’s slow death has left the Conservative Party in the ascendant. When that star starts to fall, Labour will not benefit. A new party might.

Update, 19 January 2026:

6 years have passed. I was more-or-less right about Labour not getting beyond 30% electorally.

Thanks to the vagaries of the UK’s electoral system, and the collapse of support for the Conservative Party (after the disastrous rule by “Boris”-idiot, Liz Truss, and Rishi Sunak), Labour was elected in 2024, and with a misleadingly huge Commons majority, but on a percentage vote of only 33.7%. In rough terms, 4 out of every 12 votes. Put another way, only 4 out of every 20 eligible voters’ votes. 8 out of every 20 did not bother to vote.

As I also predicted might happen, a new party did arise to capture public discontent, but it was a fake “nationalist” one —Reform UK— rather than a real social-national party.

Also, my prediction of 2020 or 2021 that Starmer, to my slight surprise, was proving to be “utterly clueless“, has also come to pass. As a result, and as of today’s date, his popularity stands at 18%, his unpopularity at 75% (Sunak’s lowest point was the same), with only 7% undecided. Labour support in the opinion polls is around 18% as well.

38 MILLION unemployed in the USA! Already. Here in the UK, the policy is not identical. We have the “kick the can down the road” “furlough” policy. That ends in June. Will the government continue it? The costs are enormous. However, many of those furloughed will find, in all likelihood, that they have no jobs to which to return once the wrongheaded “lockdown” is lifted. The same will be true of the very small business operators.

Bloomberg and other organizations say that UK unemployment will exceed the 12% that the Thatcher government achieved or suffered in 1984. The money received by (and by any other word) dole claimants in 2020 is far less in real terms than it was in 1984, thanks to Iain Dunce Duncan Smith, the Jew “lord” Freud etc. One sees huge discontent ahead.

As I predicted about 2 months ago, the “recovery” will not be the “V” type predicted by the pathetic Office of Budget Responsibility but more like an “L”-shaped non-recovery. Britain’s biggest trading partner is Germany, followed by the USA, as far as I am aware. Both are being badly hit economically.

Wearing facemasks or scarves impacts little on the transmission of “the virus”, though it may protect the odd person from being sneezed on; that’s true. As against that, again we see huge disproportion (as with the “lockdown”): millions forced to do something with the supposed aim of protecting a few, despite little evidence that it works. Well, the Coronavirus continues to decline (in reality), but the “this is a war, Boris-idiot is our great leader and we are all in it together to defeat the virus” nonsense is, if anything, being promoted even harder, though there is an obviously-growing dissent as well.

Boris-idiot himself is back posing as Prime Minister and, predictably, has taken the easy road of continuing to impose the “lockdown”. No matter the economic damage. No matter the social damage both to individuals and to institutions. No matter the evidence against it.

Nightingale hospitals

The decision to open the temporary “Nightingale” hospitals was probably the right one, and the results in terms of construction and fitting-out were impressive for such a brief time, meaning the short time between the decision having been made and the places being ready. However, they now stand as proof that the Coronavirus situation has peaked in the UK.

The London Nightingale, with capacity for 4,000 patients at once, has only admitted about 40 patients altogether, over 3 weeks, and is said to have only about 20 left now, most having recovered and been discharged.

Several other Nightingales have either not been opened officially because of lack of demand, or have closed after having opened with much fanfare.

The death rate in the UK from the virus (supposedly) has fallen sharply, as it has across Europe. The deaths being seen now are probably mostly of people infected as long ago as February.

Boris-idiot is clueless. An Israeli expert who seems to know a great deal more than those advising the hopeless UK government has said that measures taken in various countries have varied, but that the virus travels through a cycle or wave lasting about 70 days, whatever measures are taken.

The UK government has half-trashed the economy already, and for what?

  • Schools are shut despite the fact that hardly any children under 10 get infected or at least show any symptoms; children and young people are generally little affected;
  • Very few people under 40 are affected badly enough to need medical help (example: Carrie Symonds, Boris Johnson’s fiancee);

What do we know about protection from Coronavirus?

Speaking in practical terms, that

  • Frequent washing of hands and lower forearms with soap and water (or gel, if in transit) gives quite good protection, and anyway the best protection available;
  • Avoid hot crowded places where people breathe or sneeze etc over each other;
  • Avoid incubator-places such as London Underground trains and stations; nightclubs and pubs too (now closed anyway);
  • “Social distancing” is pointless beyond a few feet distance; 3 feet is OK in most instances;
  • Face masks are only useful for doctors, nurses, dentists, barbers etc;
  • Preventing people from sunbathing, walking, driving around in cars etc is just silly and has no effect on Coronavirus.

People who strove all their lives for office now have no idea what to do with the powers they thought they wanted, and are terrified of the responsibilities that came with them. They do not understand what they are doing and are not in charge of their own destiny.

And until they are afraid of the wrath of the voters, or perhaps of the courts, they will continue to hide in their bunker, biting their nails and wondering how to get out of the mess they panicked themselves into a month ago. They cannot admit they gravely overestimated the danger of the virus, and gravely underestimated the damage they would do to the economy.”

Are there any good aspects to the situation?

  • Animals and birds are being helped by the fall-off in human activities;
  • Seas are being polluted less, for the moment;
  • Little Greta Nut has been pushed into irrelevance and off the front pages, in fact out of the news altogether.

The clueless Government (and Opposition)

The Government should have kept most shops, businesses, schools and recycling centres open. It should not have prevented people doing things that certainly have no effect on transmission: walking in parks, on beaches etc; driving or riding around.

The results of the extreme “lockdown” will not become fully apparent until later in the year. Huge dole queues, businesses going bust all over the place, an even greater rollout of the poverty caused by “Conservative” governments (mainly) over the past decade or so. Also, the increase in deaths from other serious conditions.

I have blogged before about those “alt-Right” wastes of space: “Prison Planet” Watson, “Sargon of Akkad” Benjamin; Katie Hopkins and Tommy Robinson too. Pro-Israel, pro-Jew lobby etc. Just completely pointless politically and ideologically.

Back, inevitably, to the Coronavirus…

The tweet by “Sharon”, below, is of interest, mainly because it typifies the unthinking Twitterati, the “people should drive at 10 mph; it’s worth it, if it saves even one life” bleat. The bleat can be made more emoting (not emotional…emoting) yet by saying “child’s life” or “mother and child” (fill in other possibilities and tick box…).

In fact, it is instructive to read some of the tweets by the extreme pro-“lockdown” Twitterati. Apart from calling those with dissident views “morons”, “c*nts” etc, these types have obviously not really thought it through: they accept the official narrative, including the “lockdown saves lives” nonsense. They no doubt all “clap for the NHS” without really thinking why that is necessary or even desirable, and they imagine that the UK can simply shut down and live more or less normally “off its hump” for months or even years.

Twitter is, of course, now the home of the terminally out-of-touch. Twitter thought that Hillary Clinton would beat Trump, and that the Remain side would win the 2016 EU Referendum (easily), to name just two prediction errors. Now, Twitter thinks that Coronavirus affects everyone equally (patently not the case), that “lockdown” is essential, as is “clapping for the NHS” (which must be worshipped, whether in success or failure) and not leaving your home until Boris-idiot says so.

Actually, one of the most amazing aspects to all this is to see how compliant are the pseudo-socialists on Twitter. They are willing to say that the Government should have spent more on the NHS since 2010 (despite the fact that funding is by no means the only problem in the NHS), but are unwilling to say that the present Government has made an egregious and massive over-reactive error in dealing with this virus.

The same sort of thinking that leads some (even some doctors in the NHS!) to say that smokers and drinkers or the very fat should not be helped by the NHS, because their sufferings might have been “self-inflicted”. Strange, they never say that about, say, HIV/AIDS “volunteers”, blacks and browns carrying more traditional sexual diseases, or even drug abusers seeking “rehab”…

In fact, those Twitterati who want people to obey every word of Boris-idiot, Raab or little Matt Hancock are by and large the same sort that voted Remain in 2016 because Big Parent EU can look after (they foolishly imagine) their civil rights, workplace rights etc. It is a kind of socio-political infantilism.

Talking about little Matt Hancock, he was totally thrown by the not-difficult questions from the public at the news conference on Tuesday. Like a rabbit in the headlights. He just gabbled nonsense and fell back on the pathetic slogan of these times, “Stay at home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives”. Wrongheaded nonsense.

There never was a serious plan to invade mainland Britain. “Operation Sealion” (Unternehmen Seelöwe) was a typically detailed OKW (German Army High Command) contingency plan which was never going to happen, if only because the Germans lacked serious carrying capacity (barges, landing craft, ships).

Well, here we are on the evening of St. George’s Day, scarcely an auspicious day this year, with the compliant rabbit-pleb population begging to be kept in “lockdown” for “as long as it takes”, meaning until Coronavirus is no more. They can then (in a year or so) emerge from their dwellings to contemplate the complete destruction of the UK’s economy and society.

Actually, the above is somewhat hyperbolic. For one thing, at least as far as where I am situated is concerned, there was no visible or audible State-mandated clapathon this evening. Yay! Not a single “locked-down” serf-citizen (in my area) appeared to clap, bang, set off fireworks or virtue-signal. So that’s one dead propaganda campaign (I hope)…

Secondly, people are starting to revolt, gradually, against the wrongheaded and tyrannical “lockdown” nonsense.

It’s a very British revolt. For one thing, very slow! All the same, in a typically Brit “yes, repeat no” way, people are starting to ignore the “lockdown”. There would be a great deal more of this quiet revolt were shops open.  As it is, there is nowhere much to go anyway. However, there are still parks, beaches, national parks, lakes (those not yet poisoned by Derbyshire police woodentops) etc.

The msm continues to parrot System propaganda, though. Look, below, at the Daily Mail today, calling people “covidiots” simply because they decided to walk in a park, sunbathe alone in a park or on a beach, drive around for a change of view and air, all activities which do not spread the Chinese virus; neither do any of these people have any chance of getting the virus from their walking, sunbathing or driving.

Not that that stops Twitter’s “me-too” online mob of serfs and virtue-signallers from attacking these innocent people and their harmless behaviours. As for the toytown police that now infest the country, they love lecturing decent citizens doing completely harmless activities.

According to the Daily Mail, people can now be fined if “caught” sunbathing in public, but not if exercizing in public, despite the fact that the latter is far more likely to lead to random infection! It’s all just nonsense! That’s assuming that the Daily Mail has the law right, which I doubt (I speak of the law, not whatever little Matt Hancock tries to pretend is the law).

Twitter full tonight of idiots engaged in the State Clapathon. Go away…thankfully, few if any around here. Once again, one sees that Twitter is the home of the natural serfs and virtue-signallers. Most unable to think for themselves.

Not that I do not appreciate the doctors, nurses and other staff in the NHS. Most are great. However, State-encouraged mass signalling is not to be pandered to. It also tends to kill thought (and dissent) about this whole Coronavirus thing and the government policy of putting the population under pointless house arrest.

Also, the NHS is badly-administered, to an almost absurd extent, and that is apart from any funding questions. “Clapping for NHS” tends to says “there are no serious problems in the NHS”. Again, this clapping coercion tends to kill thought and dissent.
