In 1943, amid the devastating final years of World War II, the Berlin Zoo was heavily bombed, leaving much of the zoo in ruins and many of its animals in grave danger. Among the survivors was a Shoe-billed stork, an unusual and majestic bird recognized for its unique, shoe-shaped bill and stately demeanor. With the zoo’s facilities destroyed, the stork found an unlikely refuge in a nurse’s bathroom, a small but safe haven where it was cared for during the chaos of war. The nurse’s bathroom became a sanctuary for the bird, symbolizing the compassion and determination of those who worked to protect the zoo’s animals despite the dire circumstances. The stork’s survival depended on the care it received in this improvised setting, where it was fed and tended to with limited resources. This poignant scene of a wild, exotic bird in a domestic, human space emphasized the extraordinary lengths people went to preserve life during a time when destruction seemed all-encompassing. The survival of the Shoe-billed stork and its temporary shelter in the nurse’s bathroom became a powerful symbol of resilience and hope amidst the horrors of war. While much of the zoo was destroyed and many animals were lost, stories like this highlight the small acts of care and humanity that endured even in the darkest hours. The stork’s journey is a testament to the enduring bond between humans and animals and serves as a reminder of the fragments of hope that can emerge even in times of overwhelming devastation.

Thus proving, yet again, that “Boris”-idiot never does his homework…(and always talks rubbish)…

Stray thought

Though I cannot claim huge numbers of readers on any one day, or most days, the blog does have hits from almost all of the states and territories of the world, even places such as Antarctica, Greenland, Burkina Faso etc.

Today, so far, UK, USA (those two by far the bulk of hits), but also Canada, Kazakhstan, Russia, and New Zealand.

Are they all supporters? Probably not. Enemies also snoop on the blog, but no matter— “one human soul is a big audience“.

The subterranean city of Derinkuyu, located in Cappadocia region of Türkiye, an extraordinary historical site with the capacity to house an estimated 20,000 to 60,000 people, including their livestock and supplies. Its discovery occurred unexpectedly in 1963 when a homeowner accidentally broke through a wall in his basement, unveiling an ancient and intricate underground structure hidden for centuries. Derinkuyu is an impressive multi-level complex, descending over 200 feet below the surface and consisting of at least 18 levels, though only a portion of it has been fully excavated. The city features an array of functional spaces, including living quarters, kitchens, storage areas, wine and oil presses, stables, and even chapels and schools. Ventilation shafts and a sophisticated water system ensured the city’s inhabitants could survive underground for extended periods. Defensive mechanisms, such as heavy stone doors that could be rolled into place, protected the city from invaders. Historians and archaeologists believe Derinkuyu was initially constructed by the Phrygians or Hittites in the early centuries BCE, though it was later expanded and used by various groups, including early Christians, as a refuge from persecution or attacks. Its design reflects the ingenuity and resilience of the civilizations that relied on such cities for survival during times of conflict or environmental challenges. The discovery of Derinkuyu has spurred interest in Cappadocia’s extensive network of underground cities, many of which remain unexplored. These ancient marvels continue to captivate researchers and visitors alike, shedding light on the innovative ways humans adapted to their environment and safeguarded their communities.

Recruits to the castle-convents scattered across Teutonic territory primarily hailed from Germanic regions such as Franconia, Thuringia, the Rhine, and other German territories. These knights, often aristocrats but also comprising lower-ranking members, were stationed in commanderies housing anywhere from 10 to 80 individuals. Similar to other military orders, recruits pledged monastic vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Joining offered prospects of spiritual rewards, adventure, career advancement, and even basic amenities like regular meals and shelter. While German settlers were permitted entry, they typically served as priests or half-brethren. Each castle-convent also accommodated local crossbowmen, as well as non-combatants like servants and craftsmen. Although officially international, the order predominantly drew recruits from German lands. Membership numbers varied, influenced by battles and territorial shifts. For instance, Prussia counted 700 members in 1379 AD, 400 in 1450 AD, 160 in 1513 AD, and 55 in 1525 AD. The total knightly roster likely never exceeded around 1,300. The order’s revenue stemmed from wartime spoils, captured territories, trade, land rents, and donations in cash, goods, or land. Some brethren paid an entry fee, while taxes on local populations were imposed in Teutonic territories by the 15th century AD. As recruitment challenges grew, the order increasingly relied on mercenaries, necessitating financial support. Commanderies not only offered training, residences, and retirement options but also extended aid to local communities through hospices, hospitals, schools, and cemeteries. Additionally, the order constructed churches, providing ongoing maintenance and fostering artistic endeavors for embellishment.

I once knew a German lady from East Prussia, one of whose several historically-distinguished ancestors was a Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights in the Middle Ages.

The Lion Man – An Ice Age Masterpiece : The Lion Man is a masterpiece. Sculpted with great originality, virtuosity and technical skill from mammoth ivory, this 40,000 year-old image is 31cm tall. It has the head of a cave lion with a partly human body. He stands upright, perhaps on tiptoes, legs apart and arms to the sides of a slender, cat-like body with strong shoulders like the hips and thighs of a lion. His gaze, like his stance, is powerful and directed at the viewer. The details of his face show he is attentive, he is watching and he is listening. He is powerful, mysterious and from a world beyond ordinary nature. He is the oldest known representation of a being that does not exist in physical form but symbolises ideas about the supernatural.

Found in a cave in what is now southern Germany in 1939, the Lion Man makes sense as part of a story that might now be called a myth. The wear on his body caused by handling suggests that he was passed around and rubbed as part of a narrative or ritual that would explain his appearance and meaning. It is impossible to know what that story was about or whether he was deity, an avatar to the spirit world, part of a creation story or a human whose experiences on a journey through the cosmos to communicate with spirits caused this transformation. Obviously, the story involved humans and animals. Lion Man is made from a mammoth tusk, the largest animal in the environment of that time and depicts the fiercest predator, a lion, now extinct, that was about 30 centimetres taller than a modern African lion and had no mane. Distinct from other animals through their use of tools and fire, humans were nonetheless dependent on some animals for food while needing to protect themselves from predators. Perhaps this hybrid helped people to come to terms with their place in nature on a deeper, religious level or in some way to transcend or reshape it.

Archaeological discoveries in other caves in this region include small sculptures as shown in the British Museum’s 2013 exhibition Ice Age art: arrival of the modern mind. They were found in caves with large quantities of stone tools and animal bones that indicate people lived in the shelter of the daylight areas of these sites for repeated periods of time.

Stadel Cave, where the Lion Man was found, is different. It faces north and does not get the sun. It is cold and the density of debris accumulated by human activities is much less than at other sites. This was not a good place to live. Lion Man was found in a dark inner chamber, carefully put away in the darkness with only a few perforated arctic fox teeth and a cache of reindeer antlers nearby. These characteristics suggest that Stadel Cave was only used occasionally as a place where people would come together around a fire to share a particular understanding of the world articulated through beliefs, symbolised in sculpture and acted out in rituals.

Lion Man is the oldest known evidence for religious beliefs and Stadel Cave suggests that believing and belonging have a deep history crucial to human societies and originating long before writing. In 2017, UNESCO acknowledged Stadel Cave and other Swabian localities as World Heritage Sites of importance to all humanity and now Ulm Museum has loaned this important sculpture to the British Museum for the exhibition.”

The candidate for Chancellor of Germany Alice Weidel has called for the restoration of relations and economic ties with Russia The election program of Alternative for Germany includes points about the need to lift sanctions on Russia to allow free trade. Additionally, according to members of the AfD, it is necessary to repair the Nord Stream pipeline, which supplied Russian gas to Europe. “We want to end the sanctions policy, which primarily harms our country,” Weidel said. She reminded that just two years ago, Germany was buying cheap natural gas from Russia through Nord Stream, but now the country has “the highest energy prices in the world.”

The AfD is not fully social-national but is still clearly the best choice for German voters at present. Deutschland erwache!

I thought, when he was not nominated (plainly at his own request) for a fake peerage that Johnson, aka “Boris”-idiot, had it in mind to stand for leader again.

Were Johnson to get some sympathetic Con MP to stand down in his favour, Johnson might well win a safe-seat by-election.

Why would any MP do that? In return for a promise of getting a peerage later. That would not require Johnson to be Prime Minister, because the Leader of the Opposition also has peerage-nomination rights.

Johnson would then have to wait (probably) until November 2025 before at least 15% of Con MPs send in letters of no-confidence in “Carpetbagger Kemi” Badenoch. That means 18 MPs, as matters stand. That would happen. Con MPs know that Kemi Badenoch is a total turn-off for most voters, sure to lose the next general election and, thus, a number of seats.

Then, all Johnson would need would be a small number of MPs (in the 2024 leadership election, the number was 10 MPs) to nominate him as a candidate (quite likely possible).

Opinion polls of 2024 Con-voting people show that Johnson is far more popular (despite his evident unfitness to hold office, despite his total incompetence) than Kemi Badenoch.

I may even place a bet on “Boris” to be next Con Party leader. The odds, though, are not too generous, below 5/1. Maybe I shall lose my money elsewhere…

https://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/politics/market/1.235470805.

As Matt Goodwin says, though, Johnson was disastrous as PM (and, before that, as Foreign Secretary), and at present the Con Party is hovering around or below 20% in the opinion polls.

Quelle surprise…Stella Creasy cannot spell “supersedes“. Ignorant woman.

Nearly every other day I learn that someone I know in Wiltshire, in Westminster or in my wider Conservatiive network has left the party – and about half the time they join Reform too. Today two have jumped. Give it time, say Tory diehards but even under new leadership the Conservative Party simply isn’t healing or recovering. Its decline is continuing. I am not finding Reform membership easy but don’t regret my move nor leaving a party that is now so divided and adrift. It’s sad to watch.

I don’t know one lifetime Tory that still supports them personally, i wont ever vote for them again. They’re bad coalition where no meaningful policy happens, migration we had since Cameron was mostly low skill we are paying 70 yr high tax to subside that migration . Waste is massive, they were funding most of the things they said they didn’t support. to be honest Tim looking at the state of this country I’m wondering did they do anything in 14 years, everything in England is broken, GPS, dentists, NHS, councils, police, judiciary, child services, mental health services, prisons, social care, we have gone backward and it’s frightening to watch.

Semi-literate, but surely accurate.

It has been forecast in the past and not quite happened, but I truly feel that the once-great Conservative Party is now finally going the same way as the old 19thC/20thC Liberal Party. Terminal decline.

The Con vote in (?) 2029 (and assuming that a nuclear war has not happened by then anyway) may be as low as 15%.

That could see the Con Party reduced to 20 MPs (if Con 15%, Lab 25%, Reform 30%, LibDems 15%, Greens 10%): see https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/userpoll.html.

It would also mean Reform UK getting 330 Commons seats, an overall majority, and thus being able to form the next Government of the UK. If that then ended badly, social nationalism could finally arise. God mote it be.

Ha ha. Good news.

Translation: “useless sex pest, depressive case, and puppet of the Israel lobby “Lord” Walney (aka John Woodcock) has been sacked.”

The bastard is also an egregious moneygrubber, taking money from lobby groups and oil, gas, and armaments interests. Evil little bastard.

Other Israel-lobby puppets and useless types, including notorious ex-MP “Lord” Ian Austin, and notably cultureless and useless ex-MP and one-time Culture Secretary Ed Vaizey (now “Lord” Vaizey), have been tweeting in support of said bastard. Many others feel differently, though.

(((Because)))…

I nearly missed Woodcock/Walney’s sacking. That would have been a pity. I now feel quite cheered-up (after the pathos of having watched the film of Doctor Zhivago).

Earlier today, I caught literally the last 30-60 seconds of an interview (I think on Sky News) with, I also think, a junior Labour minister whose name I did not get. What a typically smug, pleased-with-himself bastard! A System political drone with, in the short piece I saw, nothing to say beyond the sort of bland propaganda soundbites all too common over the past 25 years.

No wonder the British people are turning off from System parties and politicians. Reform UK is but the next step on the road, not the ultimate destination. Anger and frustration is growing.

Even in a country such as the USA, with a population of over 340M, figures like that naturally give rise to concern (as does the fact that the tweeter Ali Bradley seems to be ignorant of what the word “majority” means…American education…).

Trump seems to be in a good position to be elected. If he is, Zelensky’s ricebowl will be taken away, and that will seal the fate of the Kiev regime.

To Israel: You can’t say “never again” while committing a literal genocide. You can’t bring up the Holocaust while detaining Palestinians, including children, in concentration camps. You can’t say you’re the victim while you’re bombing every hospital, bakery, journalist, and child in sight. You can’t say “self defense” while your kids are writing their names on rockets being blasted towards other kids whom you turned into orphans. You can’t say you’re protecting anyone while killing them.

I notice that more and more people are waking up to “their” fake victimhood “cosplay”.

The “British” Press displays its journalistic skills. Sandbanks is not in Devon. It is not even close to Devon (about 60 miles away). It is in Dorset.

[Update, same day: the Times changed “Devon” to “Dorset“, eventually].

Very true of many brainwashed pawns in the Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan and the associated “Black Lives Matter” nonsense, inter alia.

Hard to believe, but there it is…

What is next?

Reminded me of Soylent Green [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soylent_Green].

A serious government would have looked at Brexit and recognised the necessity for economic and social reform. The first lesson should have been that mass immigration cannot be a substitute for skills training, and that open borders is not a sustainable answer to labour shortages.

Subsequently, it should have examined the reasons business relies on immigrant labour and modified policy accordingly – up to and including far reaching welfare reform. It should have also taken steps to reform the ponzi scheme that is higher education, ideally dismantling second rate universities in favour of vocational training with a view to improving labour market fluidity.

It should have initiated an immediate energy policy review, dismantling the EU regulatory systems that push up the price of energy.

It should have prioritised nuclear over renewable energy. It should have looked at streamlining energy planning and procurement regulation.

It should have initiated a complete review of food and agriculture policy with a view to improving food security and reducing food miles, cultivating local supply chains, and revising trade policy accordingly.

It should have initiated a complete review of foreign aid, trade and foreign policy in line with clearly defined national priorities.

But our politicians didn’t want any of that. They liked having their thinking done for them. They didn’t see any reason for change and everything they’ve done since has been to prevent meaningful change. Sclerotic mediocrity is how they like it and it’s the best we can hope for.

That is why the Tory party is dying. They were handed a massive majority and a mandate for change and they did precisely nothing with it. They wasted our votes and our time. They squandered every opportunity and walked away from every fight. Instead of taking the cue for radical change, they doubled down on all the worst aspects of centrist consensus politics on everything from immigration to energy, in lockstep with the EU as though we never voted to leave.

Immigration is now out of control, rents have skyrocketed, energy prices are insane, university degrees are next to worthless, and now they’re inflicting heat pumps and EVs on us when nobody can afford either, nobody even wants them, and we don’t have the electricity to power them.

Now we find ourselves with nobody worth voting for, and a decrepit opposition party set to inherit power by accident of numbers, and virtually nobody thinks it will be an improvement.

There is no means by which we can arrest the decline – while the media gaslights us by telling us this is the most right wing government in history.

Not only does the Tory party deserve to die, it is a necessary precursor to any kind of British renaissance. The conservative party only wishes to conserve a stagnant status quo even if it drags us into the dark ages.

We are condemned to drab, anti-patriotic technocratic managerialism and a zombie establishment that has long since abdicated from its obligation to govern. They are rotten, debased, corrupt and ineffectual in everything they do.

Every iteration of it is like a bad Hollywood sequel – a jaded repeat bereft of ideas and energy, oblivious to its own creative death spiral.

The cancer has now spread to all of the state’s vital organs, and the patient is now on life support. Nothing short of a medical miracle can revive it from its persistant vegetative state. The only merciful thing to do is to let it die.”

I agree with pretty much all of that analysis.

Quite. I hate and despise the misnamed Conservative Party, but also despise and hate the equally-misnamed Labour Party. Other misnamed parties? The “Scottish National Party” (currently run by a Pakistani) and the “Liberal Democrats”.

…and if you say anything about all that, at least in the UK, some malicious Jew-Zionist volunteer arm of the Israeli Embassy and Government (eg the “Campaign Against Antisemitism”) will suborn or corrupt the police and the prosecution service in order to bring down upon you the weight of the criminal law (while, in the real world, real crime explodes).

Obviously. Even at present, 75%+ of the invaders are given leave to remain. That’s 75% or 80% of the actual small boat invaders; the “legal” ones are all allowed to stay for the period of their visa, but many who stay beyond that are also, one way or another, allowed to stay in the end.

Overall, something like 95% of the various types of migrant invader are —eventually— allowed to stay indefinitely. As a nation and possibly, later, as a state, the UK faces ruin.

In Africa and Asia live hundreds of millions who would like to come here. Yes, in time that will reduce the UK to a “third world” level, but they cannot see that. All they see is a country still hugely better than their own. They want what we have, or they think we have. Even if our living standards continue to slide, for the black/brown invaders that is irrelevant. They are used to much worse conditions.

Therefore, the migration invasion will continue until our society collapses into chaos and/or civil war. When? Maybe as early as 2030, maybe a little later. By 2050, for sure, as things are going. Thank God I shall probably not be here to see it face to face.

I wonder how much of that will find its way to the Ukrainian people at ground level? Rhetorical question. Not much (if any).

“Former Israeli Chief of Staff Dan Halutz said that Israel has lost the war against Hamas and Netanyahu must be overthrown. According to him, the real losses of the army are hidden, and for almost two months of ground operations there are virtually no strategic or even tactical victories in the Gaza Strip.

It would be a mistake to assume that all Jews, even all Israelis, are behind the continuing devastation in Gaza. My own guess is that most would have been satisfied by a week or so of targeted, albeit bloody, attacks in retaliation for the stunning surprise attack by Hamas forces in southern Israel in October.

There was a film, several years ago, interviewing former chiefs of Israeli intelligence and security; they were far less gung-ho than Netanyahu and his clique, or the malicious and unpleasant Jew-Zionists one sees or hears of in places such as London, Leeds, New York etc.

See also: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2020/02/02/the-jews-i-met-at-an-oasis/.

By the by, I keep wondering whether the Israeli Government, like F.D. Roosevelt before Pearl Harbor, knew of the October attack by Hamas before it happened, but let it go ahead in order to have to popular support —initially— for what is now happening in —in the Israeli case— Gaza, which amounts to an attempt to occupy Gaza and drive out its 2M inhabitants.

That may read like “conspiracy theory”, but so many of such theories turn out to be just true in the end. Why did it take Israeli forces several hours, in some cases 12 hours, to deploy to the site of the October attack? Israel is small. Tel Aviv is only 44 miles from the border of Gaza, and maybe 60 miles from the site of the Hamas attack in October.

When I was a practising barrister based in Exeter, in SW England (2002-2008), I lived in a country house about 4 miles north of Launceston (Cornwall) and almost exactly 45 miles west from my Exeter chambers. Same distance as Tel Aviv to Gaza. One day, I made the journey, door to door, in only 35 mins. I am sure that the supposedly elite Israeli forces can deploy in at least similar time (by road or helicopter), if they are so ordered. So why did they apparently take many hours in October?

Late thought

A day or two ago, I caught a few minutes of a political quiz on Sky News. Radio politico Nick Ferrari, some black woman (I think Dawn Butler), useless half-Jew former MP and now (absurdly) member of the House of Lords, Ed Vaizey, and “British” Indian pseudo-Communist, Ash Sarkar. All wearing silly Christmas hats for the occasion.

What struck me (again) is that the System TV would never have a social-national person on such a show, but there is political bad joke, Ash Sarkar, sitting there happily alongside Ed Vaizey, despite having commended not only socialism but Communism on air many times. She was obviously loving being part of the System mass media in-club…

Only social-national people and policies can now save Europe. The System easily suborns and buys the Ash Sarkar type. Paid TV appearances, even alongside the so-called “class enemy”, articles in newspapers, social media profile (and income). Pseudo-radical careerists and profiteers.

Owen Jones similarly. These are play-“revolutionaries”, play-radicals, and almost ludicrously-easily manipulated by the System.

Diary Blog, 18 February 2021

Chekhov had a point. It might be argued that in contemporary Britain, and in North America, there is at least no “premature old age“, but maybe there is: true, people are living longer in years, but at the same time a strange double-aspect is seen.

The young today are careful, cautious, scared of what they are indoctrinated into being scared of, meaning “the virus”, “racism”, “sexism” etc; even taking any risk at all. In short, they often seem to exhibit traits of caution and even fearfulness, traditionally the preserve of the middleaged and, indeed, the elderly.

The other aspect seen would be a kind of juvenile attitude to life, seen in the adult, even in the middleaged. The obsessive interest in (in the UK) soccer football and (in the USA) American football. The playing of video games, computer games by those aged 30, 40, even 50+.

Other symptoms? The whole “dating app” culture. The middleaged women, often divorced, who feverishly pretend to a lifestyle more appropriate (if at all) to girls of 18 or 20. The male equivalent, as well. Also, the lack of interest in anything of a serious nature, even in those who (via entitlement more than via merit, often) are in the highest positions.

Examples? It became notorious, during the disastrous years of the David Cameron-Levita governments of 2010-2015, that the Prime Minister of the UK spent what his own civil servants called “a frightening amount of time” playing games on his mobile telephone. If I recall aright, his favourite was one called Angry Birds.

Others in that evil yet stupid 2010-2015 government had similar tastes. One was the useless Ed Vaizey (like David Cameron-Levita, a part-Jew).

Now we have “Boris” Johnson, another part-Jew, and another with puerile tastes and behavioural patterns. Someone just posing as Prime Minister, as did Cameron-Levita.

The above may explain why it is hard to form a serious non-System political party worth anything. The young are more interested in complying with whatever they are told by the msm , or in whatever is said about them or their friends on various social media platforms. The older (25+) people are not much better, and the middleaged are mainly engaged in pursuits which are extensions of juvenalia.

Politics, especially radical/revolutionary politics, requires other traits: risk-taking, commitment to ideals and to a cause, a certain selflessness, a willingness by the individual to join with others for a noble cause, as well as anger at the way things are, and a determination to struggle to a better future.

The National Socialists of 1919-1945 had that; the Bolsheviks and other Communists had that; the milder socialists and social-democrats too. Without that drive and belief, everything just trundles on as it is, or perhaps gradually getting worse.

Ha. When living in Kazakhstan (1996-97), I used to travel up to the mountains with friends in their Lada Niva. I even drove it for short distances once or twice myself. In the UK, a few years ago, I thought of buying a secondhand one, but few were available and, crucially, the Niva only comes in standard shift, not automatic, and my present (UK) driving licence only allows me to drive automatics. Quite a good budget option for off-road, though.

I generally disapprove of capital punishment, as such (for spiritual-religious reasons, and because justice must be tempered with mercy), but there may be situations where a public hanging might do much to repress those who should be repressed.

Tweeting, blogging, vlogging, putting up no-hope election candidates, can only take you so far in the present and developing climate…

Ha ha! That reminds me when a Soviet citizen visiting London in the late 1980s saw the BBC TV News, presented by Moira Stuart [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moira_Stuart], and said to me, “not only a black woman, but one with a speech impediment!“…

What would he have thought of Britain in 2021?

G.K. Chesterton and M.R. James would have been interested, I expect.

Typical ahistorical nonsense

The tweets below are typical of the ahistorical nonsense that abounds today:

Tweeted by a barrister, one of them, so I suppose that younger people reading think it “must be right”. In fact, while it is true that women (and others) could be refused service in a pub, that almost never happened simply because a woman wanted a drink. The same was true of blacks. As for “being gay was imprisonable“…no, it never was, not in the UK, though there were offences committed if actual gay sex was indulged in.

As ever, the devil is in the detail, and in the words “legal right“…

Those tweets give a false picture.

I myself was once refused service in a bar, for having entered the saloon bar of a country pub, in Surrey, while wearing muddy Wellingtons. I, and the young lady accompanying me, had to move to the (equally empty) public bar, where the floor consisted of stone flags instead of carpet. That was in 1984.

Dominic Cummings

I repost my main blog posts about Cummings: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2020/01/03/dominic-cummings-a-government-of-dystopia-and-lunacy-posing-as-genius/; https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/08/10/les-eminences-grises-of-dystopia/

What has been so extraordinary about the “resistible rise” of Cummings is that (ref. my blog posts about him) he actually has no track record of measurable achievement at all. Left university with a so-so degree, somehow got into Russian business (but nothing solid), tried to set up an airline in the 1990s using bits of decrepit Soviet property (the airline made one flight only). Then Cummings gets a job with the Conservative Party and somehow acquires a reputation for maverick brilliance. A mirage. In the old Soviet joke, “we hear that you cannot make an omelette without breaking eggs. Well, we see the eggshells, but where’s the breakfast?

I always believe in the Biblical injunction to “judge the tree by its fruits”. I judge an ideology by its effects and by the behaviour of its adherents. I judge a government by its acts, omissions and achievements. Look at the chaos of the present government, in every way!

Cummings is not entirely to blame for the present chaos, which is soon going to get worse, with mismanaged Brexit about to come down the line. Boris-idiot, posing as Prime Minister, is the main culprit. Others, such as Johnson’s “ho”, are mere extras in the drama, but have, in the absence of proper government, taken on the role of active players.

In fact, the “eminence” of Cummings is symptomatic of Britain at the present time. It is a situation that has developed over the past decade or so. The “not what you know but who you know” scenario. We have seen the emergence of the no-salary “intern”, able to work unpaid for a year or more (and so create the foundation for a career) because the affluent parents or a family trust pay for everything. We have seen the unworthy but well-connected, the privileged trustafarians etc, become MPs, ministers, Cabinet ministers, even Prime Ministers and members of the House of Lords. A few names? David Cameron-Levita, Ed Vaizey, Dido Harding.

In fact, the above is the flip-side of the likewise prevalent “identity” appointments: persons appointed to positions in government and/or as (very well-paid) TV talking heads because they are black, brown, female etc.

Every journey starts with one step…

I agree with that, but it has to be confined to bona fide and truly British citizens as recipients to be sustainable.

Life’s circus…

The Underground was better then (c.1950?), it seems…

The succinct reply sums up my own cynical view: Boris-idiot…

That reply, too…

…and that one.

Well, this week I again beat John Rentoul, I having scored 7/10 as against his 6/10; my score would have been 8/10, but the name of the German theologian of Question 7, though on the tip of my mental tongue, escapes me for the moment. In case anyone is interested, the other questions I cannot answer are numbers 2 and 9.

[update, 2 hours later: I remembered the answer to the “German theologian” question, but too late…Pastor Niemoller. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Niem%C3%B6ller].

Memory is a strange thing. I wonder how much research is done into it.

Google “The Great Reset” and you will discover why, “suddenly”, “reset” is seen everywhere! Google “conspiracy” at the same time…

BRINO (Brexit In Name Only) was always the most likely option for the international conspiracy.

Trump

Don’t get mad; get even” [American saying]

Trump should extend Presidential pardon to all social-national and allied prisoners held in U.S. Federal prisons. He should proclaim his intention as soon as possible, and pardon as many prisoners as he can while he can. It would be a good way of sticking it to the “antifa” swine.

“British” Christmas TV ads

I see growing discontent at the race-mixing propaganda posing as “just ordinary TV ads”. Christmas ads are just part of it. According to latest statistics, about 80% of the UK population still identify as “White British” and actual “blacks” (not including recent mixed-race) are supposedly “only” somewhere around 3%. Yet almost every TV ad now contains mainly blacks, or a mixed couple and “their” mixed-race children.

Sacked temporary teacher, serial grifter, “antifa” cheerleader (from a safe distance) and would-be (self-describing) “historian” and “journalist” Mike Stuchbery supports the propaganda:

Of course, Stuchbery sees nothing wrong in TV ads pretending that 90% of the UK population is black, mixed-race etc… This was my blog post about Stuchbery, which thousands have found interesting: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/10/23/a-few-words-about-mike-stuchbery/

This is not mere happenstance. It is a deliberate and planned campaign. I have blogged about it in the past and it is getting worse. Google “Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan” for more. Alternatively, “the Great Replacement” and/or “White Genocide”.

My blog from a couple of years ago: https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2018/12/10/tv-ads-and-soaps-are-the-propaganda-preferred-by-the-system-in-the-uk/

I wondered whether the police would at some point take an interest in the GoFundMe appeal set up for Stuchbery by his associate “@antifashwitch”, Roanna Carleton Taylor of Derbyshire (it gathered in nearly £12,000 from gullible people who wanted Stuchbery to sue Tommy Robinson using it, but there never was a case brought). I now see that the Twitter tweets, going back years, of both “@antifashwitch” and her misnamed organization “@Resisting_Hate_”, have almost all been deleted.

I have no idea whether the two facts are connected, or whether she has been trying to delete potential evidence of fraud, but it has caught my attention today.

I expect the ~700 people who gave money to that GoFundMe [https://www.gofundme.com/f/sue-tommy-robinson] are wondering what happened…

I believe that “antifashwitch” has a rather “dodgy” background generally. Her personal connections have, if the Internet is to be believed, been investigated by the police in the past, and not just for political matters.

Incidentally, the Pakistani named in the GoFundMe appeal is or was, supposedly, the solicitor (a one-man-band “firm”) who was going to act for Stuchbery. All very odd.

Slava! Something has to be done directly about the Boris-idiot toytown police state which is inexorably becoming a real police state.

Not a new tweet, but worth reposting.

Are you still proudly self-congratulatory for having clapped, idiots?…

Quite. As for the UK, the rural/suburban area of coastal Southern England where I live has 180,000 inhabitants within the District Council area. In the last week, 3 (three) deaths “from” (or “with“?) “the virus” have been notified. One death for every 60,000 people! Statistical zero. Yet for this, the population has been forced to comply with the facemask nonsense, shops and pubs and restaurants (a large part of the local economy) have been shut, and any medical services from GPs are telephone-consultation only.

Madness.

Slava!

Was that connected with “antifashwitch” too? I have no idea.

Non-white Christmas TV ads

Further to my comments earlier in today’s blog, I received this comment from a reader:

I’ve noticed that the race mixing Christmas ads don’t mind showing an idealised England via small rural villages complete with a church in the centre, the catch is they don’t allow us to see a white family living there, it has to be mixed.

The problem is though, who do these multinationals think this nostalgia and yearning for an older England actually caters to? Is it the Indian wife in the ad? or the inevitable black husband of the white woman in another ad?

On the one hand they pander to the cultural identity of an ethnic group, while at the same time endorsing the erasure of that ethnic group via the mixing in the ads.

Note once again that the nature of the multinational is essentially parasitic, those images of England aren’t of them…” [a reader of this blog].

Well said, Blog Reader…If it were the other way around, it would be called “cultural appropriation” and so “wrong” (because white European people are always wrong…). Such TV ads (propaganda masquerading as ads…) are much more an “appropriation” (if not an expropriation!) than, say, The Black and White Minstrel Show etc, who were copying a longstanding American and European tradition of “blacking up”.

General Election 2019 Daily Updated Blog

I have already given a preliminary opinion piece about the upcoming general election:

https://ianrmillard.wordpress.com/2019/10/30/a-preliminary-look-at-the-2019-general-election/

and in other blog posts have examined Boris Johnson and his Cabinet, Corbyn, the various political parties contending, and some of the main issues in considerable detail.

I am now inclined to blog daily with any significant news. I start with the Daily Mail report below.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7638411/Nigel-Farage-prepares-unveil-Brexit-Party-election-hit-list-HUNDREDS-seats.html

The essence of the report is that Nigel Farage tried to form an electoral pact with the Conservatives, which has now been rejected by “leading Conservatives”. Farage has left the offer open until 14 November, like the businessman he is. The reason for the rejection seems to be that the Conservatives are unwilling to accede to Farage’s demands. Another connected reason would be that the Cons would have to give the Brexit Party a free run in at least some seats.

Since the 19th Century, the Conservative (and Unionist) Party has made it a point of honour to stand a candidate in every Westminster constituency. Another point is that, if Brexit Party were to end up with even a small bloc of seats, BP might later strike out from that citadel and be a far greater danger to the Conservatives. Once a party has more than a tiny number of Westminster seats, it’s launched, it’s a player.

Most Brexit Party members and candidates are far closer to Conservative Party ideology than that of the Labour Party. To some extent, that is true of BP voters too, at least in the South of England.

The Brexit Party has lost its mojo recently. By-election misses, poll doldrums (as Boris-Idiot tried to capture the Leave/Brexit vote). Brexit Party a few days ago was at its lowest in the polls since the Spring: only 7%.

However, one can never quite write off egregious Farage. His bold gambit in demanding that the Cons comply with conditions such as effectively gifting him a bloc of seats may energize Brexit Party now that the Conservatives have so contemptuously refused the proposal.

Boris Johnson is no “One Nation” Prime Minister. He was jeered and booed when leaving Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, yesterday. The Conservatives may have been at 42% in the polls a few days ago (published yesterday but work done a week ago) but I doubt that that can be maintained.

Brexit Party has the power to hit Labour, but it has the ability to hit the Conservatives worse. There are large numbers of seats where a Brexit Party candidate can mean a Conservative candidate losing to a LibDem, or to Labour, or even, who knows, even to…a Brexit Party candidate.

If (at present, a big if) Farage and Brexit Party can pick up speed, increasing support from the recent 7% to 15% or more, Boris-Idiot is toast, along with the Conservative Party. The Conservatives may then find themselves, not with the solid majority they want but worse off than they are now.

Update, 2 November 2019

(Mike Ashley is a barrow-boy “entrepreneur” who makes Alan Sugar look like Andrew Carnegie).

(might mean a Con majority of 90+, if accurate…)

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/nov/02/boris-johnson-brexit-populism-tories-lifeline

The polling website Britain Elects has interpreted these as showing a current Tory vote share of about 35%, roughly 10 points ahead of Labour; and the analytical website Electoral Calculus has extrapolated a Tory majority on 12 December of about 70. That would be by far the party’s largest since Margaret Thatcher’s third election victory in 1987. There are obvious flaws to this suggestion that Johnson will win decisively. In 2017, May had an even bigger initial poll lead, but it shrank to almost nothing by election day. And this year’s contest is potentially more volatile still.” [The Guardian]

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/oct/30/the-guardian-view-on-a-volatile-electorate-disunited-and-unpredictable

“The fanfare at the launch of a general election tends to obscure the reality that Britain’s voting system involves hundreds of very particular local elections. That constituency variation, combined with unusual volatility in party identification, makes the poll due on 12 December highly unpredictable. Brexit has shuffled conventional loyalties, forcing the Conservatives in particular to seek support on unfamiliar terms.” [The Guardian]

Update, 3 November 2019

In a sign of the increasing volatility and unpredictability of the UK electorate, the latest opinion poll now places Conservative Party on 36%, Labour Party 28%, LibDems 14%, Brexit Party 12%.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2019/11/02/tory-majority-doubt-telegraph-poll-shows-lead-just-eight-points/

By Electoral Calculus calculation, that could still give the Conservatives a Commons majority of 40+, but is a long way below other recent estimates. In 2017, the Conservatives started the General Election campaign very far ahead of Labour, but the advantage had almost disappeared by polling day. Another few days and Labour would have overtaken.

Update, 3 November 2019

These connected tweets made me laugh. Ghastly old Jewish “ho” Edwina Currie got a shock while canvassing for the “Conservative” candidate in the High Peak constituency of Derbyshire:

Surprisingly (perhaps not very), she ignores the occupier’s plea that he is very busy and engaged on a conference call; she just ploughs on regardless.

Jesus! If that ghastly apparition appeared outside my home on Halloween, after dark, I would arm myself with a mallet and a wooden stake!

Meanwhile, on the national stage, Nigel Farage has announced that he himself will not be contesting any seat, but that Brexit Party will now be contesting at least 600 seats.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7644269/Nigel-Farage-says-WONT-stand-MP-snap-election.html

This will obviously have an effect on Conservative vote-shares in those constituencies and on the number of Conservative MPs returned. To what extent that is so depends on how high the support for Brexit Party goes. If only 5%-10%, maybe not so serious. If 10%-15%, possibly enough to prevent a Conservative majority in the Commons. If anything like 20%+, it is Goodnight Vienna for the Conservatives, especially if Labour and the LibDems also increase their shares.

The Conservatives are taking the Brexit Party effect seriously, which is why they just offered the Brexit Party chairman, Richard Tice MEP, a safe rural Conservative seat if he would defect (he has, it seems, refused).

Update, 4 November 2019

Conservative Party candidate for Gower, one Francesca O’Brien, wrote that those living on State benefits should be “put down”:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-50283520

and now it seems that Ross Thomson [Con, Aberdeen South] will not be standing for re-election after having been caught engaging in gay sex assaults.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7644987/Tory-MP-wont-fight-General-Election-Labour-MP-claims-tried-stick-hand-trousers.html

I have only one regret about this nasty little shit leaving the Commons: I was going to include him in my “Deadhead MPs— An Occasional Series”. Plenty of fish, though.

In a way, the Ross Thomson story is the tale of how the Conservative Party has become something totally alien. A few extracts from his Wikipedia entry:

Prior to entering politics, Thomson worked as a store trainer for department store Debenhams“;

On 5 October 2016, Thomson repaid expenses relating to a night’s stay in an Edinburgh hotel with a male friend whom he subsequently hired.[16]“;

[“hired” the “male friend” on his MP’s expenses, of course…was he giving the “male friend” a test drive?]

On 3 November 2019 MP Paul Sweeney accused Thomson of sexual assault in the Strangers’ Bar in October 2018.[22] Denying wrongdoing, later the same day Thomson announced that he would not stand for re-election as the Member of Parliament for Aberdeen South, saying that allegations of groping had made his life ‘a living hell’. [23] However, this was later contradicted when it emerged that he only stood down when the chairman of his local Conservative Association refused to sign his nomination papers to allow him to stand as a Conservative candidate.“;

On 6 February 2019, various newspapers reported unsubstantiated claims that Thomson had been escorted by police from the Strangers’ Bar of the House of Commons the previous evening. Initial reports indicated that police had attended following reports of “sexual touching” of patrons by the MP. Eyewitnesses claimed that Thomson had repeatedly groped several young men also present in the bar, grabbing their bottoms and genitals. No prosecutions followed and a Conservative Party investigation is yet to conclude, but the Parliamentary Commissioner on Standards dismissed the complaint.[28][29][30][31] Thomson has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, citing the allegations as politically motivated.[32]

The damn cheek of the bastard! He has the gall (re. the above) to say that he is a victim! (because he has been “trolled” online about his degenerate behaviour).

Here he is, a couple of years ago, weaselling about the Bedroom Tax:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkYj9m4osMA

All that, and now I read that the bastard is in favour of mass immigration and wanted to make the UK a friendlier place for “refugees” and other migrant-invaders! This creature was (is still, for the next few days) a Conservative Party MP!

Breathing cleaner air, the latest news about Brexit Party seems to be that BP is going to put up 600+ candidates unless Boris-Idiot complies with several demands. Looks as though Brexit Party is going to rain on the “Conservative” parade (if Brexit Party can climb higher in the polls, at least)…

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/boris-johnson-news-live-brexit-party-farage-general-election-dup-corbyn-labour-a9183851.html

Back in the (((swamp))), I see that “they” have arranged a suitably well-paid safety net for sex-pest depressive and Israel mouthpiece, John Woodcock, who had to resign the Labour whip when he was exposed, so ending his political career(ism). He is going to be engaged in spying on social nationalists and trying to close down free speech. I blogged about this unpleasant individual a couple of years ago:

Update, 5 November 2019

I just noticed the date. How will history remember these years of our lives in England’s long history?

Remember remember

The 5th of November

Gunpowder, treason and plot,

Life is short and memory long

And traitors deserve to be shot

[I suppose that, in these febrile and unfree times, I should add that the poetic whimsy above does not constitute any injunction or incitement to anyone to be beastly to MPs, or indeed to anyone, whether mentioned in this blog post or not…]

Back to boring old General Election news, and it seems to me that today marks the start of the real campaign. Corbyn is at least vocalizing the reality, that the Boris-Idiot Cabinet of Israeli agents and doormats for the Jewish lobby plans to impose a “free market” dystopia on the British people. When/if enough people realize that, the Conservative Party lead will evaporate.

The government of David Cameron-Levita promised to build 200,000 new affordable houses. Not one was built. If the UK stopped importing unwanted blacks, browns etc, new houses would be unnecessary anyway, but that is another issue. The point is that promises are cheap and, in the mouth of Boris-Idiot, easily made.

I saw cocaine-abusing Israel doormat Michael Gove today on Sky News. One of the (in the end) five tweets by reason of which I was wrongfully disbarred in 2016 was that describing Michael Gove, entirely accurately, as a “pro-Israel, pro-Jew expenses cheat”. At that time, the public was unaware that Gove was also a cocaine-snorter. He looked drugged or drunk in the Chamber of the House of Commons recently. When will the British people wake up to the corrupt political/msm milieux, aka “the (((swamp)))”?

Seems that Robert Largan, “Conservative” candidate for High Peak (Derbyshire) is tweeting mostly about Alison Chabloz, with the odd negative attack on the Labour candidate and present MP, Ruth George. Largan seems obsessed with “anti-Semitism”, but then he is an accountant working for Marks & Spencer in London.

All Mr. Largan has to do now is learn to regularly shove cocaine up his nose (I shall be polite and assume that he does not already do so…) and he will be welcome at Gove’s degenerate parties…

Largan has tweeted or retweeted nine or ten times about Alison Chabloz in the past few days. His other tweets mostly try to attack the Labour candidate, Ruth George, using “guilt-by-association”. It is clear that Largan has nothing much useful to say to the voters of High Peak. He seems mostly interested in keeping in with a certain (((lobby))).

Here is what Largan and all “Conservative” MPs and candidates now support (click to listen):

High Peak’s “Conservative” candidate (who lives in a chi-chi part of London) is in fact a member of Conservative Friends of Israel. Quelle surprise…In fact, he went on a (subsidized?) trip to Israel only a few months ago. The cheek of the bastard! Surely he could wait until becoming an MP before freeloading?! I wonder whether he will be elected. I hope not. There are enough Israel-doormats in the Commons already.

https://cfoi.co.uk/cfi-coordinates-delegation-to-israel-with-conservative-parliamentary-candidates/

Some people are taking things into their own hands:

Meanwhile, there is movement in the opinion polls. While all polling shows that the Conservative Party is well ahead, a minority of polls are now showing a diminution in that lead.

That polling would result in a Conservative Party majority of about 16 seats, according to Electoral Calculus. Boris-Idiot would welcome that, though it is far from the recent predictions of 100-seat majorities. I sense a slight change in the air. Corbyn and Labour are never going to be flavour of the month with most voters, but I sense a new determination on the part of many to try to stop Boris-Idiot and his satraps from becoming an elected ZOG/NWO tyranny, as they assuredly would be, had they a majority in the Commons.

Another poll:

Brexit Party will have to get a long way up from 11% to make a really big impact. That YouGov poll would still give Boris-Idiot a Commons majority of as much as 126 seats; but things are now starting to move. The ice is beginning to melt.

Below: desperate…

This, below, from the Daily Mail Comments section, made me laugh! (capital letters in original)

“LABOUR ARE NO LONGER THE PARTY OF THE WORKER……..PREFERRING THE PROFESSIONAL SHIRKER….THE INCOMING(Postal vote) B>U>R>K>A …AND THE PIE MUNCHING BACK STREET LURKER!”

Latest: Phillip Hammond not seeking re-election.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/05/philip-hammond-to-step-down-as-tory-mp-after-22-years

Update, 6 November 2019

Yet another Conservative Party MP has decided to give up politics. Lazy half-Jew chancer and general waste of space Ed Vaizey will not be again contesting Wantage, a safe Conservative seat. He would undoubtedly have been re-elected, but his chance of further ministerial preferment (he was Secretary of State for Culture for several years, absurdly) would have been minimal, at least in the short term. He was obviously unwilling to stay on as a backbench MP for years, or indefinitely, and unlike many MPs, does not need the money.

Alison Chabloz has commented on the attack both on her and on Labour candidate Ruth George by prp-Israel Marks & Spencer accountant and “Conservative” candidate for High Peak, Robert Largan:

https://alisonchabloz.com/2019/11/06/why-the-entire-system-is-unfit-for-office/
