Coronavirus

Well, there it is: yesterday, nearly 13,000 known “cases”, yet only 65 deaths. About 1 death for every 200 “cases”. Most people are not even tested, so that must mean about 1 death for every 1,000, 2,000 or more people in the UK.

The Government of Clowns is shutting down great swathes of the country (again) for almost nothing.

Darren Grimes is perhaps not sufficiently aware to know that it was the Jew-Zionist lobby that started this fairly recent trend of “lawfare”, meaning the abuse of badly-drafted laws to repress opinions of which that Jew lobby disapproves. The most obvious example of a badly-drafted law is the Communications Act 2003, s.127.

Jews are fond of saying that “repression may start with the Jews but rarely finishes with them“. It seems to be true, but not in the way “they” mean. They themselves started this attack on free speech, but it is not the Jewish population that suffers from it.

Oh, and right on cue (see below) comes Karl Turner MP [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Turner_(British_politician)], the sort of muddle-head who thinks that he is being terribly clever for saying “freedom of expression does not mean freedom from consequences“, a phrase which could be applied to Stalin’s Russia or Mao’s China.

The same kind of deadhead thinking is often tweeted by one Paul Bernal, a law lecturer at the University of East Anglia.

In fact, looking at Karl Turner’s Wikipedia entry, he looks like a suitable candidate for my Deadhead MPs series…

I notice that Murray seems to be very favourable to Israel-based solicitor Mark Lewis, and Murray has defended on Twitter Lewis’s “free speech rights” (when Lewis was fined and censured by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority in 2018). I also never saw or heard Douglas Murray defend the free speech rights of Jez Turner (of the now-destroyed London Forum), who was imprisoned for making a speech in Whitehall; or for that matter, those of Alison Chabloz, prosecuted for posting online her satirical songs.

Both Jez Turner and Alison Chabloz were targets of the malicious Jew-Zionist pressure group, “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”], as also I was and remain.

The same is true of the Charlie Hebdo events. The System politicians from all over the EU defended the magazine when it attacked Islam and was then attacked by Islamists, but it rarely attacks the Jew-Zionists who more or less rule France now. As for those political drones, they are in the pocket of of the Jewish/Zionist/Israel lobby and try to censor any criticism of Jews or their behaviour.

A few reminiscences, a few thoughts

Tempus fugit, and similar truisms…I recall seeing, en passant, the now-deceased lady who wrote the first two of those pieces, when I was sitting in the library of the GB-USSR Association in the early 1980s; about 1983.

The GB-USSR Association was a cultural and para-diplomatic organization mainly funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Lubrication for diplomatic/cultural interchange in the Cold War, if you like. A parallel body existed in Moscow.

The Chairman of the GB-USSR Association at the time was the renowned Fitzroy Maclean [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Fitzroy_Maclean,_1st_Baronet], and the previous two Chairmen had both been former Prime Ministers (Attlee and Macmillan).

The London HQ of the UK body had a rather nice set-up in Grosvenor Place, overlooking the gardens of Buckingham Palace. It had a Director (a rather unwelcoming fellow called John Roberts, I think about 50 or so, who had fluent Russian, learned in the 1950s during National Service and at Cambridge, where he was sent during part of his service), and two full-time librarians (paid Civil Service rates). I believe that I heard at some much later time that the younger of the two librarians eventually, in the 1990s, became the main librarian at the new, and now famous, Thames-side HQ of SIS/MI6. Perhaps.

The said Roberts was very well-connected and, in those days when your “occupation” had to be written in your passport (based on what the applicant wrote on the application form), had —I heard on good authority— “Diplomat” written in his passport, even though he was not one, at least in the accepted sense. In those days, I had a far less plausible occupation written in my own passport.

The GB-USSR had a good library which I often used, and it put on interesting occasional talks, though I missed the best of the lot (I was told), which was given by “John le Carre” (David Cornwell) one evening.

I remember a very attractive tall blonde woman who looked about 29 (if that) coming in with at least two and maybe three small dogs on leads, and going into the office of the Director. I later discovered that that was his new wife. I was unaware until yesterday that she was at the time already about 40.

I suspect, though only on the flimsiest of evidence, that she may have been the model, or one model, for the John le Carre character who is the wife of the SIS resident in Zurich in the TV series (I have not read the book) A Perfect Spy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Perfect_Spy_(TV_series); and see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Perfect_Spy

In the TV series, the main character, Magnus Pym, is brilliantly played (as adult) by Peter Egan; the wife of the SIS officer in Switzerland was, I think, one Felicity, played by actress Fiona Mollison.

Now that the GB-USSR lady is deceased (as is Roberts, her husband), I can say without seeming too rude that the intervening years were not kind to her (the same might be said of many of us!), looking at the photos. To be frank, I should not have recognized her from the photos I have just seen in the past day. There again, few would recognize me from the photograph of me aged 35…

I was struck some time ago by the changes seen a few years ago, in a BBC provincial news report and on a website, about people I met when volunteering on an organic farm in Wales about 40 years ago. The farmer was still recognizable, but his wife, whom I recall as a pretty sexy and shapely lady of about 35 (albeit very moody, to the point of being a real pain in the neck), was now almost spherical, in fact like a snowman without the snow: a small sphere sitting atop a large sphere.

These apparently random thoughts and reminiscences are in fact just my way of underlining how transitory is our time on this Earth in any one incarnation. We must do what we can to create a current of positive effect which will influence the course of history.

Indeed. British diplomats are fond of talking about free speech in other countries, while forgetting the constraints that now exist in the UK: Alison Chabloz, persecuted and prosecuted for posting satirical songs about Jews (particularly “holocaust” frauds) online; Jez Turner, imprisoned for making a speech in Whitehall; Ian Millard (me), disbarred at the behest of a pack of Jews for 5 tweets about politicians and events.

One diplomat unlikely to make that mistake is Rowan Laxton [https://www.gov.uk/government/people/rowan-james-laxton–2], who successfully appealed his conviction for shouting about the evils of Jews and Israel. The judge who heard the appeal disbelieved the only prosecution witness, Gideon Falter of the “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”]. Falter’s testimony has proven contentious in other cases since then.

Laxton was reinstated at the Foreign Office and is now High Commissioner in Cameroon (though note his postings: Cameroon, Somalia etc, not Moscow, Paris, Washington…).

Why is it that only now is the consensus shifting, so that it is generally obvious that Boris Johnson is simply out of his depth as PM? I have been blogging since I started in 2016 about his unfitness for public office,and was tweeting the same for years before that. Those who had known and/or employed Boris-idiot were saying the same or similar, yet the msm has been promoting Johnson for nearly 20 years. He is of course part-Jew, and pro-Israel. What a shock. People are reconsidering whether a cup of sugar-loaded weak coffee is really worth several pounds out of what, for many, is a pretty low disposable income.

Britain should have joined with the German Reich to rule most of the world. Second-best option: stay out of the conflicts in Europe and not declare war on Germany (81 years ago, on 3 September 1939). Once that disastrous war had started, it should have been halted by honourable armistice after Dunkirk, in mid-1940.

Get the picture? Huge amount of recent testing for “Coronavirus”, huge increase in people found to be infected, but virtually no deaths from it, because most people tested have few if any symptoms, and are in no real danger from it. The same is true of anyone they might infect.

The most invidious fact of all in that regard is that not only does Britain have a government of dictatorial clowns but also an Opposition consisting of those whose policies are in most respects identical. A non-Opposition.

The police, who have recently had so much time to swagger around bullying the public, checking on what people are saying on Twitter and Facebook, simply could not be bothered to make a couple of telephone calls to give a person in need of immediate real help.

I heard only the Radio 4 highlights of PMQs. Disastrous for Boris-idiot. Keir Starmer might be in the pocket of the Israel lobby, but in terms of domestic policy he is “mainstream”. For Boris-idiot to accuse a former Director of Public Prosecutions of being a sympathizer or apologist for the IRA (by proxy, because Corbyn was Labour leader for 4 years) is just absurd. Not even Oxford Union level. Eton College debating society, maybe.

The problem the British electorate faces at present runs parallel to that pertaining to the USA: a false choice between unworthy candidates.

Having said that, even were Keir Starmer brilliant, he would be no nearer office. On paper, Boris-idiot is there maybe until as late as November 2024.

I predicted after the 2019 General Election that any real or serious opposition to this government would have to come from within the ranks of Conservative MPs themselves, given the 80-seat majority.

I also made the point that there was a false question being asked during the 2019 campaign. Many were writing in the msm, “Boris has the ability to be PM, but does he have the principles?“, to which my answer was “when has Boris proven that he has the ability?“, but answer came there none…

Now the Conservative Party MPs, pro-Conservative newspapers and websites etc are having to wake up to the fact that they have promoted and puffed a total clown as “Prime Minister in Waiting”, in some cases for 20+ years.

Well, they put him there, and there he sits, incapable of doing anything effectively, having shut down the economy and society, listened to idiots like Professor Ferguson (he of the “800,000 Coronavirus deaths” prediction). Soon there will be millions of unemployed wanting solutions.

“Boris” and his record: Economy and society shut down for about 6 months. Ludicrous facemask policy adopted. Absurd local “lockdowns” implemented. Migration invasion worse than ever (over 400 yesterday alone, and that’s only on the beaches; what about all the others?). Unemployment soaring. DWP and HMRC even less efficient. Nothing done to stamp out exploitation by (((predators))) such as Philip Green.

I was just looking at the statistics for my blog. So far, and with nearly 5 months to run, the blog has had about as many hits in 2020 as it had in the whole of 2019, and about four times as many hits as the blog had in both 2018 and 2017 (the first full year). In other words, it looks as though by the end of 2020, the blog will this year probably number twice the hits of 2019 and eight times the numbers of hits in both 2018 and 2017. Tens of thousands of people want to read my thoughts and feelings about policy, events and personalities.

Why is this news not getting through to “the masses”? Partly because the msm, especially the TV, is intent on supporting the government of clowns and its fear propaganda (about how we are supposedly facing a deadly plague). Partly, though, because the British people are just complacent or lazy, especially intellectually. Rather than even look at a simple graph, as above, most of the people prefer to allow themselves to be scared, and panicked, like the plebs of ancient Rome.

The government of clowns is continuing with the fear propaganda, the facemask nonsense etc, and so most of the (human) rabbits in this country are still going along with it despite the fact that hardly anyone in he UK is really dying from “the virus” now (the statistics have been hugely inflated by designating people who died of all sorts of conditions as “Covid-19” victims. One was even killed in a car crash!). Few (perhaps none) have died purely from Coronavirus for weeks past.

If the “virus” laws or purported laws, and regulations under those laws, are upheld, then any pretence of real democracy, or freedom under law, in the UK is dead. The government would henceforth become fair game.

Good luck to those raising legal challenge to these bad laws and regulations.

Yes. I still see tweets or comments here and there about the British people, and how they are going to “take back” the UK, stop mass immigration, deal with the Jewish lobby, and many other issues. Really? Few will even fight back against being masked (muzzled) by government diktat. I have no confidence at all that many will do anything, not even form (or even join) a legal (State-approved) political party.

We have seen the definition of —and State action against— “terrorism” change. In the past, terrorists were serious conspirators who let off bombs, shot at people etc. The Jewish terrorists of the 1930s and 1940s, the Irish ones during much of the 20th Century, the Arab and other Muslim ones of more recent times.

Now? Even the most active and dangerous terrorists of recent times, the Islamists, have moved from taking over whole countries, or crashing airliners into cities etc, to crashing cars into crowds almost at random, or simply stabbing unfortunate passers-by in the streets of London and elsewhere.

As for the more or less nationalist British “extremists”, despite much noise in the mass media (((the msm))), there is little evidence that much if any “terrorism” exists at all. A few young people who owned Swastika cushions, who made cookies in Swastika shapes and owned a few big knives or swords. A few people imprisoned for putting stickers on lamp-posts. Also, a man, probably not quite compos mentis, who killed an MP a number of years ago. What else? I cannot think of anything else at all.

As for the mass of the British public, they have allowed themselves to be bamboozled by the biggest charlatan since Horatio Bottomley into believing that the whole country has to be “locked down” to prevent the spead of a virus (which peaked before the “lockdown” was even implemented); into wearing facemasks in supermarkets and on trains and buses (but not at work or in pubs…).

Sadly, the British people have proven themselves, most of them, to be scared rabbits. To my surprise, the elderly seem to be worse even than the brainwashed young.

I heard from an elderly lady who very recently went on one of the ferries to the Isle of Wight, with her grand-daughter, a young woman in her mid-twenties. Both complied with the mask “requirements”, despite the fact that the saloon was almost empty. A retirement-age man decided to sit close to them (despite the emptiness of the large saloon) and then told the lady that her facemask was not properly above her nose, and that “the law” demanded it! Unfazed, the lady replied that the law did not require it in her case, for medical reasons, and that she need not be wearing a facemask at all. The man then shut up and apparently muttered some apology. Why did he sit so close in the first place? So that he could act as school prefect?

It’s that sort of 80-year-old bullshitter who is liable to talk rubbish about how the Second World War was a “fight for freedom”. Some “freedom”, now. People afraid to write a letter, a newspaper comment, a tweet, in case some Jew or black sees it and is looking for an opportunity to (pretend to be) “offended” so that he/she can make a malicious complaint to Twitter or even the police. Some freedom, when you cannot go into a supermarket, or sit on an empty train, without being muzzled,and/or lectured by some idiot brainwashee. Not that those interfering persons (the old ones) were themselves ever in any war anyway.

Think about it, though! Some interfering old bastard decides to snoop on people whom he does not know, then tell one off for not complying with one of the most stupid laws ever passed (not that this “law” ever has been properly passed, incidentally: Parliament has not passed either the rules or any recent statute about this; the Government has misused a statute passed for completely other purposes to lay down these various ludicrous “rules”).

No, I have little faith that there will be any concerted action against even this pathetic toytown dictatorship of a “government”. Individuals? Individual action? Maybe, though I doubt it.

It is one reason why UK manufacturing has always lagged behind, say, Germany.

It can easily be seen that this whole “Coronavirus” thing (more precisely, the government’s “lockdown” shutdown) has destroyed ordinary radical or social-national political life. Political meetings, even small ones, are effectively banned, as are the traditional means of spreading a message, such as rallies and demonstrations (though the System has accommodated the nonsense of the “Black Lives Matter” swine).

In fact, the latest “measures” from the government of Boris-idiot give even local authorities the power to shut down whole tracts of the country and whole cities on “health” grounds. Don’t tell me that such powers cannot be and will not be abused.

The barking of “orders” through megaphones from inside police jeeps and helicopters, the deliberate polluting of a Derbyshire “blue lagoon” (to deter visitors), the drones following elderly fell-walkers so that the real “Covidiots”, the police, might then “shame” (as the police thought in their little brains) those walkers by having the footage posted on Twitter or Facebook.

The present government may be one composed of idiots but, thanks to an 80-seat majority in the Commons (and the absence of any effective Opposition there), the Government rules supreme. Indeed, there is more dissent from disenchanted Conservative Party people than there is from Keir Starmer’s joke “Labour” official Opposition (Jewish lobby Potemkin village), which merely supports the Government and tries to put a gloss on whatever that government orders.

The censorship darkens again

The prolific tweeter and one-time TV scriptwriter, Graham Linehan, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graham_Linehan, has been “permanently suspended” (the weasel equivalent of “expelled”) from Twitter, as I was in 2018.

I had brief interaction on Twitter with Linehan a couple of years ago. He was unpleasant, rude, and rather stupid. He also failed to say a word in support of me, both when I was disbarred —at the instigation of a pack of Jews— in 2016, and later, when I was expelled from Twitter (2018). Indeed, I think that he laughed at my being chucked off Twitter, in fact. Well, hardy ha ha…

“Do not ask for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee“, Linehan!

Alternatively, “First they came for the [people they called] ‘Nazis’, and I laughed; then they came for the ‘Alt-Right’, and I laughed; then they came for mainstream Twitter drones unwilling to accept untruth as truth, and I was one of those, and I got chucked off Twitter, because no-one then supported my freedom to express my views”…

I have never seen Linehan support the free speech rights of such as Alison Chabloz or Jez Turner, either. Maybe he wants to keep onside with the Jews, in the hope of getting his work back on television, which, in broad-brush terms, the Jews control.

Despite my not having a good opinion of this Linehan person, I support his free speech rights. I take the moral high ground.

We see, constantly, on Twitter, that “XYZ is not free speech but hate speech”. That simple (simpleminded) formula can be used against pretty much any viewpoint: “racism” is not free speech but “hate speech“, “opposition to Black Lives Matter is hate speech, not free speech“, “White Lives Matter is hate speech, not free speech“, “holocaust” “denial” is not free speech but hate speech“, and so on.

At root, this anti-free-speech tendency was initiated by the Jewish-Zionist element, though in a few cases it is turned against its originators.

You only have to read tweets from various “antifa” and similar idiots on Twitter to note the glee exhibited that “another enemy/reactionary/fascist/Nazi” (etc) has been removed.

What the idiots fail to see is that, firstly, Twitter, in itself, is really not very important, and that, secondly, they are just the unwitting dupes of the System, which is playing them like a balalaika. Thirdly, that it might happen to them, and since many of the “anti-fascist” idiots seem to have no life outside Twitter, that may hit them hard…(rubs hands).

They also neglect the fact that, if peaceful means of socio-political expression are removed from the British people, the British people, or some of them, may turn to less peaceful means of expression. If that happens, all bets are off as to what might transpire.

The “leading academic” is one Daniel Allington, who describes himself on his own blog as a “computational social scientist”, so not an academic lawyer or human rights specialist. He is a “senior lecturer in AI”, and does not have a professorial chair. Oh, and he is “Head of Online Monitoring” at the “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”] too. The latter is the Jew-Zionist organization which has been conspiring against me and others (to name a few: David Icke, Alison Chabloz, Jez Turner) for years. The “CAA” describes Allington’s piece in the Sun “newspaper” as an “op-ed“, meaning a piece of opinion commissioned by the newspaper (sometimes unpaid). The term was first in use, I believe, in the Jew-infested New York Times (“all the news that fits”…), and the New York Times “op-ed” page was once described by Presidential candidate Pat Buchanan as the “Amen Corner” of the newspaper, because the scribblers were all Jew-Zionist neo-cons pushing the Israel First interventionist foreign policy line.

This is yet another attempt by what one might call “ZOG” and/or the Jewish lobby to destroy free speech, both online and offline. (((They))) have been pushing this for 60 years now, at first (of course) re. print media, now re. Internet publishing too.

Well, as I predicted last year would happen, the Jewish lobby has found a well-paid sinecure for former Labour Party deputy leader, Tom Watson, who was notoriously in the pocket of the Jewish lobby, as well as being a relentless expenses cheat (until the system was slightly reformed, he was even blagging £500 a month on expenses —without fail— for food alone!)

In fact, I just discovered that, several years ago, around 2013, Tom Watson was “personally involved” with the (20 years younger) Stephanie Peacock, who was at the time trying to become a Labour Party MP. I do not know whether the affair continued, or continues. She failed in her first attempt to get into the MP racket, in 2015, but succeeded in her second, at the 2017 General Election, having been selected (by the National Executive Committee of the Labour Party, i.e. not by the local party) only a week before the election, for the —then— safe seat of Barnsley East. Oh, and guess who was, back in 2013, Chairman of the Labour Party NEC? That’s right…Tom Watson.

The first picture above is certainly accurate or at least plausible; I myself saw scenes like that (usually minus the lady) in Rhodesia, when I was there in 1977.

Roy Horn

Sad to hear that Roy Horn, of the stage act Siegfried and Roy, died. I recall seeing Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous on TV feature them, when I lived in the USA about 30 years ago. They had a fabulous villa in the desert near Las Vegas and lived there with their huge and beautiful white tigers. In general, I don’t like stage acts involving animals, but Siegfried and Roy really loved their big cats (white tigers, lions, leopards). What is the truth about Coronavirus?

We are told that the Coronavirus COVID-19 started spontaneously in a seafood and live animal market in Wuhan, China, a country where people, or some people, treat animals appallingly, and where many eat strange things such as bats.

That may be true. I cannot say that it is untrue. There are, however, dissenting voices, that is to say voices dissenting from the official narrative. I was sent this:

I was at first inclined to accept the official narrative as most likely correct. Now? Not sure.

What interests me more are the socio-political effects of the Coronavirus on the world and particularly the UK. In particular, I noted that the near-dictatorial powers which the Government of the UK has taken on are not designed to last for a few weeks, a few months. No…they are drafted to last for TWO YEARS. I think that we are entitled to ask why that is so.

True, the powers taken by the UK Government can be removed again by Commons vote (every 6 months or, in constitutional principle, at any time), but this government, with its 80-strong majority, can push through extensions easily, if it wants.

Boris-idiot, posing as PM, has shown little or no leadership, but that has not prevented “Conservative” scribblers from behaving like the most sycophantic Stalinists in the Soviet Writers’ Union (of about 1948). Look at this creature:

Most people are natural followers. Few like to have to think for themselves. In this case, spurred by natural feelings of fear, anxiety etc, most people want to “do the right thing” and that can include thinking the “right” thing.

Despite the above, a minority is beginning to question the origin of Coronavirus, the fairly draconian measures now being taken by the UK government and, even leaving all that aside, whether the economic stimulus is being done in the right way.

The “lockdown” relies on people self-censoring, “doing the right thing” if you like. I am not opposed to that as matters stand with “the virus”, but I am very uneasy with where this is all leading.

I am presently blogging separately about where UK society and economy will be in a while. We are approaching a massive change across the world, particularly across Europe. 2022 will bring change on a scale not seen since socialism in all forms collapsed in and after 1989. It’s a 33-year cycle which has interested me for a long time.

We must be clear. These restrictions can only work if the general population goes along with them. I don’t mean “work” in terms of suppressing Coronavirus infections. The restrictions may or may not work in that sense. I do not know. No, what I mean is “will the restrictions work in terms of enforcement?”

Most people will no doubt go along with the restrictions for a few weeks. If this situation continues for longer, probably not. It has been reported that the police have been told to expect 6 months of this! I cannot see the population sitting still indefinitely.

  • are already ignoring crime because prioritizing the enforcement of “lockdown”.

I cannot see how the two above statements can be easily reconciled, but the law was ever “a ass…a idiot”, as one character from Dickens expostulates.

At this stage, it is clear that the portentous announcement, by a clownish Prime Minister, of “lockdown”, is a kind of sleight of hand, or if you prefer, confidence trick. The State, as matters stand, cannot actually enforce these strictures. It is reliant on the population agreeing with them and playing ball.

I suppose that the police could impose road blocks between towns or even within towns, but the police officers would have no way of checking whether any one motorist is on a legitimate mission of mercy, of shopping for supplies, of commuting to a “essential” job, or whether that motorist is going to a house party (banned under the regs) or simply driving around because bored. If that last, why shouldn’t he, really? Someone in a car is not going to infect anyone by reason of simply driving around.

It is hard to escape the view that at least part of all of this is designed to create an atmosphere in which a fearful population submits to State orders. Of course, behind that is, also, the real threat from Coronavirus.

Despite the plaudits heaped upon Rishi Sunak for opening the gates of the money dam, I wonder what the outcome will be, a year or two down the line. Not good, I think. However, I shall examine that more in my (not yet published) blog on the socio-economic aspects of the virus crisis.

Mixed messages on the Coronavirus front

My drive around today

Went out not long before darkness fell. Intended to visit a chemist’s, only to find it shut by reason of truncated opening hours. Nuisance. Drove to small village shop a few miles further on. Near to its new 1800 closing time. No bread, but bought a little milk and some local asparagus. I noticed that some dry pasta was available. I myself have no need for any more, but it was heartening to see that not all had sold, even if only basic spaghetti. At least the shelves were not bare, except for the bread shelf (and even that had a sad and solitary roll still on sale).

As for other people: a few couples walking in the country lanes, a few solitary dog walkers too in the semi-suburbanized villages, a few bicyclists. No one at the little shop noted above. Roads very quiet, even the nearest rural A-road. No sign of police activity of any kind, even in the local town. General impression of an almost-closed-down society.

Poignant, but what struck me was the “two degrees” bit. Why does someone with two degrees work in a pub (for years)? The answer —unless the degrees were only completed out of interest— must be that, from the strictly vocational/job point of view, “degrees” (an outdated mediaeval concept anyway) are now next to worthless on the open jobs market (even though quite ordinary jobs now “require” a “degree”). When everyone and his dog has a degree, what is a degree worth? Not much.

The corollary to the above is that one must ask why the State should subsidize those educational qualifications that are valueless, in direct terms, to the State and society.
