From the newspapers

“Diversity” (blah, blah)…

As some comments say, the defendant will in fact be out in 10 months, and quite likely earlier. The sentence is not really the “nearly two years” of the Daily Mail‘s “reporting”.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11646993/Recruit-numbers-Armed-Forces-fall-30-amid-warning-supporting-Ukraine-makes-weaker.html

Recruit numbers in the UK’s armed forces fall by 30% amid warning that supporting Ukraine in Russia war makes us weaker.

The figures, which indicate Britain’s Armed forces are shrinking at a rate, have emerged after the head of the Army, General Sir Patrick Sanders, warned the country was ‘weaker’ after donating so much equipment to Ukraine.

[Daily Mail].

That is before you factor-in the extra effect of having political nincompoops at the head of affairs, people such as Ben Wallace and, before him, Gavin Williamson: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/05/02/deadhead-mps-an-occasional-series-the-gavin-williamson-story/

While he welcomed the equipment being put to good use to end Russia’s illegal occupation of Ukraine, General Sir Patrick said it could not be denied that the UK’s combat effectiveness would be compromised.

The MOD is coming under increasing pressure to reconsider this commitment due to the conflict in Ukraine and the heightened security threat to the UK posed by Russia, Iran and China.”

Take away Zelensky’s ricebowl.

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/jan/17/uk-foreign-secretary-defends-weapons-supply-to-ukraine

The UK foreign secretary has justified the supply of Challenger tanks to Ukraine, saying it was designed to bring the war to a quick conclusion and there was a moral imperative to end the war soon due to the casualties and cost.

This war has been dragging on for a long time already. And now is the time to bring it to a conclusion,” James Cleverly told a Washington thinktank…”

[The Guardian]

Talk of “political nincompoops“… Does James Cleverly really believe that any war against Russia can be brought “to a conclusion“, let alone “a quick conclusion“, with Russia, in effect, losing?

I suppose that that sort of view, based on total ignorance, is what you get when your Foreign Secretary is a half-caste with a “degree” in “Hospitality Management”…

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11644009/Furious-tenant-58-smashed-Volkswagen-left-parking-space.html

A furious tenant smashed up a car he found left in his parking space, despite not using the bay himself for 12 years

Gavin Glover, 58, has neither a car nor a driving licence, but descended into a fit of ‘parking lot rage’ when the Volkswagen Polo was parked in a space allocated to him as part of his lease on a flat.

[Daily Mail]

There are so many idiots of that sort around, and so many people, also, who “presume too much”.

…and, once again, we see that a “Jack Monroe” fan is, again, a lady of a certain age, not (it seems) either “poor” or “struggling”, and (again) willing to tweet loudly without knowing basic facts.

Tweeter “@gillianography”, another typical “Jack Monroe” fan: not “poor“, not “struggling” (and almost certainly a reader of the Guardian), as well as, in her case, (and as she herself says) “neurodivergent nerd“, “brand strategist“, “copywriter“, and supporter of LGBTQXYZ etc.

As blogged previously, not only the “poor” and “struggling” but also the standard “working classes” of yore seem to be entirely absent from the ranks of the “Jack Monroe” supporters, as they sit reading their copies of the Guardian in, as it might be, the Waitrose cafe.

What is the point of…”Jack Monroe”?

There used to be a BBC Radio 4 series called something like What is the Point of…? Ah, here it is…seems to be still running: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01lt45k. Various things, from universities to Formula 1, were, perhaps still are, examined with a view to their utility.

I ask, “What is the point of Jack Monroe?” Not as an individual, but as a minor socio-political phenomenon.

The only “point” I can see for “Jack Monroe”, in that sense, is that nearly a decade ago, she raised the fact that many many people were facing hardship unprecedented since, arguende, the 1940s. So far so good. I was still quite favourable to her, or at least neutral, months or years ago: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2022/09/30/diary-blog-30-september-2022-including-an-assessment-of-jack-monroe-aka-the-bootstrap-cook/.

In the well-known saying, “when the facts change, so do my opinions” [not the exact words of J.M. Keynes].

Leaving aside the “alleged” fraud and/or “grifting”, what is or has “Jack Monroe” really done to either reduce “poverty” (however defined), or to make it more bearable for “the poor” (however defined)? In my view, not much, if anything.

In my opinion, anyone can say “buy the cheapest food lines from [any supermarket]”, or (such as) “make tuna salad using canned tuna in oil, rather than buying olive oil separately” (I made that tip up myself…maybe I could be “Bootstrap Cook (2)”!).

As for the food produced by “Jack Monroe”, the less said the better, from what I have seen, though some might be acceptable. Many have said, though, that her costings are largely fictional. Again, leaving that aside, does that really help the “poor and struggling”?

Critics (including me) have made the point that to say, “I can feed a family of four for a week on £20” effectively says, by implied —if unintended— subtext, “State benefits are more than adequate“. It may be that four people could live, albeit on the most basic level, on only £20 a week, but food is of course only one expense of that hypothetical family. Heat, communications, water and electricity bills, clothing, transport. Etc.

Looking at how “Jack Monroe” has simply ignored inconvenient facts (such as her £20 shop not including items already purchased and stored), the truth is that she is just not very good at working out anything. Her various food recipes and plans are worthless, really.

As for the (non-existent) “Vimes Boots Index” of inflation, she not only has not produced it but, actually, is not capable of producing it (not with any accuracy, though she may eventually cobble something together in order to fool her hardcore Twitter fans).

Is advice such as “rinse sauce off cheap tinned pasta, replace sauce with something else, then serve” really useful? To anyone? The same goes for “take a tin of sardines, mix it up with rice, or pasta, and curry powder; heat and serve” (my abbreviated versions).

In a Britain where instant fake “celebrity” can make completely ridiculous people famous and wealthy, the “brand” of “Jack Monroe” (as supposed “single mother on State benefits, saving herself and others by clever budgeting and cooking“) gained some resonance around 2012-2013, but now that people know that she has not been “poor” for many years (and possibly never was), the “brand” is surely worthless?

I really cannot now see much point to “Jack Monroe” (the “brand”, that is), and I think that it is telling that, apart from a few idiotic journalists and (possibly) Nigella Lawson, most of the continuing fans of “Jack Monroe” seem to be people with mental problems.

Diary Blog, 6 December 2022, with more opinion about “Jack Monroe”

Afternoon music

On this day a year ago

“Jack Monroe”

Those tweets refer to the apparently empty threat by “Jack Monroe”, the “Bootstrap Cook” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Monroe#Legal_actions], to sue Con Party MP Lee Anderson [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Anderson_(British_politician)], which threat was uttered sometime in early/mid May 2022, and widely reported by the Press on 15/16 May 2022.

“Jack Monroe” was going to sue, said the (((occupied))) Press, not only Lee Anderson but also the political commentator Martin Daubney, at least one of whom (Lee Anderson) had implied (indeed expressed) on TV that “Jack Monroe” is a fraud: he actually said “living off the backs of the poor“. I could not have put it better myself.

Well, here we are, nearly 7 months later, and there has been no action launched; nor even any pre-action correspondence sent.

Lee Anderson has already said that he has heard nothing from the woman or her lawyers (if any), despite the Press claims from May 2022, which seem to have been uncritically supportive of the egregious “Bootstrap Cook”.

While, technically, that leaves “Bootstrap Cook” with another 5 months to bring an action, I think that it is reasonable now to opine that there will be no defamation suit by “Jack Monroe” against Lee Anderson.

However, that is not the whole story: “Jack Monroe” asked people in general and her “supporters” in particular to send money to fund the (so far, non-existent) legal action. She implied also that her solicitor would be fanatical Jew-Zionist solicitor (based in Israel) Mark Lewis, about whom I blogged extensively some years ago: see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/11/update-re-mark-lewis-lawyer-questions-are-raised/. He himself has not tweeted anything about having been instructed or consulted on the Lee Anderson matter.

Now people are asking about where went the crowdfunded monies raised (assuming that there were some). “Jack Monroe” has not explained. The reasonable assumption, surely, is that she has had at least some monies from that source, but has either retained the monies or simply spent them.

It is a moot point, on those premises, whether “Jack Monroe” has committed a fairly serious criminal offence.

A black woman in Bristol is presently awaiting trial on what seem to be similar facts, involving a crowdfunding appeal for projected lawsuit(s).

The police and/or State regulators should be investigating all of this.

Likewise, as of today, 641 total mugs are sending “Jack Monroe” between £3.50 and £44 a month via the Patreon website, supposedly in return for goods and services never provided.

That’s anything between £2,300 a month and £30,000 a month (gross). “Not a bad little earner“…

“Jack Monroe” has taken money from, inter alia, the “poor” and vulnerable and, when asked to refund monies for non-performance, has refused, or has ignored the requests; on occasion, she has even insulted some of the poor and suffering people concerned.

“Bootstrap Cook” was promoted online by Nigella Lawson, it seems, though “that was then”. Not recently, as far as I know.

(is that last tweeter a so-called “sock account”?)

Why are quite a few other msm types, though —even after the recent intensified storm around her— still promoting this person?

Tweets seen

The strange thing is that mugs such as tweeter “@friendofsnoopy” seem to imagine that they are actually accomplishing something positive in socio-political terms by subsidizing the lifestyle of “Jack Monroe”. Very odd indeed. A psychologist might find the pathology of such pointless virtue-signalling interesting.

I note, also, that “@friendofsnoopy” still has a Twitter profile photo of herself wearing a facemask! The facemask nonsense is so yesterday…

“@friendofsnoopy” says that what “Jack” “does” is key for her. What she means is more like “what ‘Jack’ says she does”… It now turns out that her interaction with the Office of National Statistics and others amounted to nothing but one brief meeting with the ONS, not even noted because entirely unimportant; the same with other organizations. “Jack’s” aim was obviously to have such 5-minute “meetings” in order to be able then to tweet about them for years: the so-called “meetings” were obviously (in my opinion) merely and planned props in what others have called her “grift”.

Anyone can tweet or write “you can save money by buying cheapest pasta from ASDA or ALDI“, let alone something akin to “here’s a way to make a cheap dinner: a tin of chickpeas, a tin of peaches, and some curry powder. Mix, and heat.” Mahashma Gandhi?

Also, this constant “you too can live off a few pence a day” nonsense just reinforces the false idea that State benefits (and private pay) are sufficiently generous, if not too generous.

Meanwhile “Jack Monroe” laughs at the mugs who subsidize her, buys Tiffany ear-rings (£1,000+), by her own admission drank, in recent years, a bottle of whisky a day (she now monetizes even that, by virtue-signalling her supposed year or so of “sobriety”), and is alleged to be, or to have been, a considerable abuser of cocaine (admittedly, I have no evidence as to whether or not that is or was so).

All the same, look at the facts: several thousand pounds, possibly several tens of thousands, via Patreon each and every month, £24,000 (plus legal costs) from her Katie Hopkins libel action award, somewhere around £100,000 from book royalties in the past decade, other donations, paid Press and TV interviews and appearances, deals with ASDA etc to promote their stuff. Large amounts of money, and it has been claimed that “Jack Monroe” now has as much as £200,000 stashed away, yet she still “cosplays” the poverty thing, as if she is living on a few pounds a day.

At root, rent is the fruit of parasitism. People work to pay rent, but the rentier lives parasitically from that rent, i.e. from the work of the rent-payer.

I was once, in the early 1980s, somewhat acquainted with a wealthy property-developer who lived in West Sussex. His wife was a novelist of sorts, and had been published (by a real publisher, not via Amazon self-publishing or the like) several times. This in fact was well before Amazon; her first novel had been published around 1980 or slightly earlier.

Apparently, when her first book was accepted, that lady was asked to the publisher’s office. He congratulated her, and then counted out £600 in cash on his desk as an advance; she never earned any more from it. Not a fortune even 40+ years ago. Her later novels earned her even less. Fortunately, with a wealthy husband, that did not matter so much.

The “@AwfullyMolly” Twitter account is well worth reading.

If, as American “gun nuts” claim, “the right to bear arms” is the last line of defence for American white people, then why (with tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of Americans legally and/or illegally possessing weapons), is that anti-white hate-broadcaster still not minus a head?

I myself am not, as I have blogged in the past, “anti-gun”, but the fact is that possessing a weapon, whether a firearm or a cold weapon, is not, without more, going to achieve victory for social nationalism.

If anyone is interested, I myself was a member of a “gun club” in the days before Major and Blair used one of only two “spree shooting” massacres in English history (Dunblane; before that, there had been Hungerford) as an excuse to close down most private ownership of firearms. There has been one other such “spree shooting” since then, in Cumbria in 2010.

I belonged until the mid-1980s to the now more or less defunct Kensington Rifle and Pistol Club in West London , which was off the Cromwell Road, and not too far from the Earl’s Court Underground station. I believe that a rump of it still shoots at Bisley in Surrey, where I have not been since I was at school in the early 1970s.

I very much doubt that the rather staid civil servants and others who used the Kensington range, and the bar of the Club, were likely to break the speed limit, let alone any more serious laws (the only flamboyant character there was the TV actor Peter Wyngarde: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Wyngarde; https://www.theguardian.com/culture/tvandradioblog/2018/jan/18/legend-tributes-paid–cult-tv-star-peter-wyngarde).

I have had, also, and in the 1970s and 1980s, some limited experience of various firearms (shotguns, pistols, automatic weapons too) in other parts of the world: Central Southern Africa, Ireland, the USA etc, but have never been fascinated by weapons, and have never made the mistake of imagining that Mao’s dictum that “political power grows out of the barrel of a gun” is 100% right (though it is not 100% wrong either).

Ideology, organization, and discipline must come first in any serious social-national party or movement.

Kennedy was right in principle but what threw his prediction off-course was something that he perhaps did not fully comprehend when young— meaning the Jew-Zionist control over the mass media in the USA and the rest of the “Western” world. Of course, such nominations would have been finalized some months ago, before the avalanche of accusation and evidence re. the “Bootstrap Cook”. I doubt that she will be nominated for any awards in the future.

The facemask nonsense and the rest of the “Covid” “panicdemic” lunacy still has a hold on a small (and mentally-screwed) part of the population.

Ukraine

In case readers missed my late comment yesterday re. the “missile hits Poland” report:

Either this incident was accidental, or the explosions are a false flag by the Zelensky regime, created to drag NATO into war with Russia. Either way, it was plainly not a deliberate attack on Poland, and thus should not trigger Article 5 of the NATO treaty.

In any case, now that states such as Poland, the Baltic states etc belong to NATO (which should never have happened), Article 5 should be abrogated. It is now nothing less than a dangerous trigger mechanism which may put all of Europe (and quite possible both the USA and Russia as well) to sword and flame.

This situation has been caused, at root, by the reckless NATO support for the Kiev regime. This is not our fight, and never has been.

Latest news:

Reuters is reporting that a Nato source has informed the new agency that US president Joe Biden has informed the alliance that the missile that fell into Poland, killing two people, was a Ukrainian air defence missile.”

[Guardian]

Russia defence ministry: missile claims ‘deliberate provocation’, wreckage ‘identified’ as Ukrainian S-300

The Russian defence ministry is issuing a robust statement denying involvement in the explosion in Poland.

Reuters has snapped the following key lines:

  • Russia says it carried out a massive attack on military targets and energy infrastructure in Ukraine on Tuesday.
  • The strike achieved its goals.
  • High-precision strikes were carried out only on Ukrainian territory and no closer than 35km (22 miles) from the Ukrainian-Polish border.
  • Allegations of Russian missiles falling in the Polish village are a deliberate provocation to escalate the situation.
  • Photos of the wreckage found in Poland are identified as elements of the Ukrainian S-300

[Guardian]

As I commented late yesterday, quite likely a “false flag” operation by the Kiev regime of the Jew Zelensky. The Kiev regime is desperate to get NATO directly into the war on the Kiev side, or to get Russia attacked by NATO.

That Bernal idiot, who (incredibly) lectures in law in East Anglia, is also one of the unthinking “you can have free speech but not freedom from the consequences” brigade, which mantra would effectively designate Stalin’s Soviet Union or Mao’s China as places where free speech existed.

Very little, if anything, written by Bernal on Twitter can be taken seriously, in my opinion.

More Jewish fraud. When will people wake up? Having said that, look at infamous Lastminute.com. Plus book royalties, appearance fees, off-the-cuff donations, other sources of income (eg Child Benefit, Child Tax Credit etc).

I have yet to see a tweet from even one genuinely “poor” person who thinks that Jack Monroe —“Bootstrap Cook”— has helped his or her existence. All tweets supporting her come from fairly affluent journalists, msm people, some lesbians and/or persons of the LBGTQXYZ brigade, fake “doctors” operating psychotherapy scams, retired people living in rural or semi-rural comfort, and/or readers of the Observer and Guardian. I suspect that some supportive tweets are in fact from “Bootstrap Cook” herself, using aliases, though I cannot prove as much.

Elixir of youth?

Strange. I happened to see the chambers bio of someone who was at the “Bar school” (the Inns of Court School of Law) at the same time as me (1987-88), and in the same little practice group of about half a dozen or so people; all our surnames began with “M”.

I was told at the time (and in confidence) that this particular person was a great deal older than he looked, was (if memory serves) about 45, and had been a commended officer of the Flying Squad, who had arrested a shotgun-carrying robber in a bank branch. He looked to me somewhere between 28 and mid-thirties, no older.

I was told that said person (whose name it is unnecessary to mention) did not want it to be generally known that he had been in the police, because there was at the time rather a prejudice at the Bar against policemen becoming barristers. Perhaps. That is what I was told, anyway.

I noticed that the said student was good at listening rather than talking, for example when in a pub after our “practical exercises” (in those days, Bar students used the courtrooms of the Royal Courts of Justice after hours in order to playact being “Counsel”, supervised by a real barrister acting as “judge”).

The person in question blended in easily. I would never have thought that he had been in the police, had I not been told.

As mentioned, I was told that the said person was about 45 (I think that it was either 45 or 46). Now this was in 1987, maybe 1988. I see now that, after what I understand to have been a pretty successful career at the criminal Bar (though he has not taken silk), he is still practising and, as far as I can judge from his (presumably not too old) photograph, looks no more than 50, if that!

Various idle thoughts intrude: does he have a ghastly portrait of himself hidden away somewhere, as in The Picture of Dorian Gray? Has he found the fountain of youth, or the elixir of youth? If what I was told back in 1987-88 was true, he must be 80-81 years old!

I can only conclude that I may have been told a load of rubbish, yet even if one knocks off a decade from the age as related to me in 1987 or 1988, he must be ~70. Puzzling.

Incidentally, I do not think that I am breaking the confidence entrusted to me about 35 years ago. Apart from the time that has elapsed, I have kept the “secret” since 1988 and even now have not identified the barrister concerned. In any case, whatever the sensibilities of the Bar re. police becoming barristers may have been, 35 years ago, the pre-legal career of that individual must surely be taken to have been creditable, if anything.

The missiles seem mainly to be targeting critical infrastructure such as electrical power plants. Overall comment on recent political events and on the new Government

For me, one of the major aspects, looking at both the Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak Cabinets is the sheer mediocrity, at best, of the Cabinet ministers appointed by both Truss and Sunak (several appointed by the former have now been reappointed to various offices by the latter).

Here we have a country of 60-70 million inhabitants, a country with a long and distinguished history, and which has produced more for the world, arguably, than most if not all others [including, among hundreds of examples, the Industrial Revolution, trains, hovercraft, jet aircraft, radar, modern sanitation etc], and the best our political system can throw up (so to speak) is this pack of idiots? In the old Private Eye caricature of the newspaper editor Bill Deedes [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Deedes], “shome mishtake, shurely?“.

Tweets seen

Brexit was badly mishandled. How to save it? First thing is to stop arms, ammunition, and money going from the pockets of British taxpayers to the dictatorial regime of the Jew Zelensky in Kiev.

Second necessary thing is for Britain to withdraw trade sanctions against Russia, restore full trade links and, also very important, cultural links. This will benefit Britain hugely, especially now that the EU, USA, and other states have pledged to intensify trade sanctions. An open field for British commerce, with little competition.

Third thing would be to distance the UK from NATO.

In return, I have no doubt that Russia would supply gas at cost, or even below cost, to the UK; a direct pipeline could be constructed. Britain would thereby stave off both energy shortages and high prices.

The above would not, of itself, solve the problems in dealing with the EU single market, but would mitigate them.

I have discussed previously on the blog that “Jimmy Carr Destroys Art” show, created by Jews at Channel 4, and featuring grinning little monkey and tax evader/avoider Jimmy Carr. Don’t want to waste any time on the bastard today.

Incidentally, though, perhaps I should add that I despise the concept and actuality of Jimmy Carr Destroys Art for wider reasons than simply because one of the works of art destroyed was by Adolf Hitler.

I would not, for example, want to destroy Jewish art, such as the works of Chagall, or even the degenerate contemporary “art” of moneygrubbing “artists” such as Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin, who are not Jewish themselves, but their work heavily promoted by the wealthy and well-connected Jew, Charles Saatchi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Saatchi.

Actually, the German Reich did not, as a rule, destroy what it considered “degenerate” and/or Jewish art; it actually held exhibitions of it, as educative for the people.

Exactly. The Jews at Channel 4 who are behind Jimmy Carr Destroys Art, and the “woke”/”antifa”/Jews/etc who watch it and like it, just want to go “ha ha! That’s one relic of ‘Nazism’ gone!“. It panders to a love of destructiveness, especially on the part of the Jew-Zionist element.

Even those who, like me, commend the basic principle behind National Socialism, would not (I certainly would not) say that Hitler’s youthful paintings are “great art”. They are mostly no more than competent. There is no argument for destroying them, however.

As for Eric Gill, a perverse person, but his art is interesting and also significant for its role in its time period. You could say much the same of many great artists of the recent and further past.

In the end, there will be only one way to eliminate the evil “woke”/”antifa” etc from society.

Justice?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11355605/Drunk-businessman-46-sexually-assaulted-girl-17-flight-Manchester-spared-jail.html

I applaud mercy on the part of sentencing judges, in principle, but not when justice itself is cast aside.

Look at that non-sentence, very typical of today.

It sometimes “seems” that, unless the case is one of murder or terrorism, or tweeting/blogging a few criticisms of the Jewish influence in the UK (eg in the cases of Alison Chabloz or Jez Turner), it is all but impossible to get imprisoned in the UK, no matter what you do to other people.

Reminds me of times past, about 30 years ago.

When I was living intermittently in New Jersey in the early 1990s, I was invited to lunch by American friends of someone I knew at the Bar in London. The three Americans were all partners of a small law firm specializing in shipping and insurance.

When I arrived at their office in downtown Manhattan, near Wall Street, a small group was just leaving, including a bearded Jew wearing a skullcap.

The American lawyers explained that that group had been there in connection with a matter involving insurance, in which matter the people I was visiting were on the other side. The bearded one was said to be a rabbi, who owned commercial property in Brooklyn. I was surprised. I was unaware that Jew rabbis were allowed to own, or did own, business enterprises.

My American hosts laughed and told me that the rabbi was suspected of having had the building in question torched for the insurance. “We call it Jewish lightning!“, they explained.

My religious education was enriched further by another encounter at that office: I met another lawyer who came in and had a cross on his forehead, marked out in ash. I asked what that was, and was told that it was to do with Lent in the Eastern Orthodox church, the lawyer concerned being a Lebanese Christian [https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/article/meaning-cross-ashes-ash-wednesday]. New York City, the melting pot…

I had never seen that (the marking of the forehead), nor even heard of it, previously.

A memorable day also for the interesting lunch that followed, held at an old New York club (I think not now in existence, though), called the New York Drug and Chemical Club, and founded by the leaders of those industries a century or more before, but now situate 50 or more floors up in a skyscraper. Interesting to eat clams and drink Bloody Mary cocktails as the odd helicopter slid by the window (silently), en route to the East River Heliport. A New York experience not had by most visitors to the city.

A year or two later, I hosted the same Americans when they came to London on business. We went to the unique (and now also closed down) Luba’s Bistro at Yeoman’s Row, Knightsbridge, one of my regular haunts back then.

Bring your own wine, beer, or vodka, and enjoy their unchanging 1950s menu, an eclectic mix of Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Georgian, and a bit of French, all consumed in a crowded restaurant where you would be seated near (and I do mean near) the next table of diners, who might be anything from a Church of England canon (accompanied by young blonde wife) who was “an honorary archimandrite of the Eastern Orthodox Church” (overheard by my then girlfriend), to Soviet types who might or might not have been spies of some sort.

Happy days (I suppose).

Of all the ways governments have wasted money in the past, the “panicdemic” nonsense, and particularly the “Test and Trace” nonsense was the most egregious; almost unbelievable.

As previously blogged, if the Triple Lock is abandoned, then the 60+ age group population of voters will probably abandon the Conservative Party en bloc.

Gavin Williamson

Unbelievably, Gavin Williamson, one of the most stupid MPs of the lot, is back in government, this time as “Minister without Portfolio”. I think that he is a freemason, perhaps of some rank. Nothing else explains why he is even an MP.

A reminder that “Labour” has become as much of a bad joke as the fake “Conservatives”.

As to Eddie Izzard, that creature apparently intends to seek selection as a candidate at the next general election, perhaps for a seat in Sheffield. His prominence as entertainer will probably ensure an easy victory.

If someone, not even from the 1960s or 1970s, but as recently as the 1990s, were suddenly to land in the Britain of 2022, he or she (not “he/she” or “they“) would find much of this country pretty mad, as well as very much in decline in most ways.

The National Trust, like the RNLI and most big charities and institutions, is now riddled with traitors of all sorts in high positions.

Mark Twain had it first and best: “there are lies, damned lies, and statistics“…

Someone can be “competent” to “run the economy”, and increase GDP etc, but if the benefits of that strong economy go almost entirely to the richest 20%, 10%, 5%, 1% (and in the UK it is mainly the 1%), then who can blame the other (as it might be) 99% of the population for saying “screw it! I don’t care!“(?).

I am reminded of the middle-aged man before the Brexit Referendum who was asked by a reporter whether he would change his Leave stance if he were convinced that Brexit would damage the economy. His answer? “I don’t really care…it’s only me and the dog“…

Nearly” a failed state?! Absolutely a failed state. It has been for most if not all of its 31-year history.

RAF, Royal Navy, and the defence of the UK

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11116917/RAF-jobs-boss-quits-amid-claims-offers-white-men-paused-meet-diversity-targets.html

Job offers to white male recruits of the RAF have effectively been paused to meet diversity targets, defence sources have claimed.

Women and ethnic minorities are reportedly being favoured in recruitment drives to meet ‘impossible’ targets, which has prompted the Head of Recruitment at the RAF to resign in protest.

The officer, a female herself, left the post amid concerns that hiring restrictions could undermine the strength of the service, according to sources.

Sources claim recruiters within the RAF have been told to temporarily pause offering roles to white male recruits in favour of women and ethnic minorities.

Head of the RAF Air Chief Marshall Sir Mike Wigston has been accused of willing to compromise the security of the UK to improve diversity within the force at a crucial time when threats from Russia and China loom.

Last year, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, Head of the armed forces, spoke publicly about the importance of striving for more diversity and that it was all about ‘woeful’ statistics.

‘The woefulness of too few women,’ he said. ‘The woefulness of not reflecting the ethnic, religious and cognitive diversity of our nation.’ “

Ha. The idea that the UK’s skeleton air force and skeleton navy can protect the UK from such behemoths as China and Russia is somewhere between a bad joke and a complete delusion.

In any case, China has expressed no intention at any time of invading the UK offensively. Indeed, why should it, when huge numbers of Chinese are actually living here, when more are arriving daily, and when the Boris-idiot government of clowns has invited most of of the present residents of Hong Kong, millions of them, to migrate to the UK?

Look around pretty much any English town or city and note the hordes of Chinese.

In the famous words of Sun Tzu, “to win without war— this is the supreme excellence” [Sun Tzu, The Art of War].

As for Russia, the Soviet Union collapsed a long time ago, officially 31 years ago (1991) but in reality around 1989, some 33 years ago.

The Soviet Union, though aiming overall for stability rather than conquest after the 1960s, might still have invaded Western Europe (including the UK) in the 1970s or 1980s, but since then the Russian Federation has not harboured any ideas of invading the west of Europe. Indeed, the very idea is laughable.

In the 1990s, carpetbagging companies, firms, and individuals (the last mainly Jews) ripped off the Russian people relentlessly. Geopolitically, NATO (meaning the New World Order conspiracy) poked Russia incessantly, and showed bad faith by establishing NATO/US bases around Russia, in places only a few miles from Russia’s borders.

I could see this situation developing in the 1990s. Now, it has led to what we see in Ukraine— actual warfare with Russia, with the Kiev regime of the Jew Zelensky as NATO/US/NWO proxy.

Russia today presents no danger to the UK, unless the UK continues to join in with the USA (NWO, in reality) in encircling and threatening Russia, as well as arming and assisting the Kiev regime.

From where comes the danger to the British people? From Russia? No. From China? No.

Externally, the main and in fact almost sole real threat to Britain comes from the cross-Channel migration-invasion, now running at 500-1,000 invaders daily.

Not only has the Royal Navy not stopped the cross-Channel invasion, it has actually helped to provide a shuttle service to bring more of the bastards onto our shores. The same is true of Border Force (so-called; many prefer “Border Farce“).

What about the RAF? Well, I’m sure that they fly over the Channel taking lots of pretty pictures of the boats and ships ferrying the migrant invaders to UK shores…

Senior officers of the paper-shuffling type now “in command” of our navy and air force not only would not be much good, in all likelihood, were a conventional invasion ever to happen, but would in any case have only pitiful forces with which to repel it. The same, pretty much, would be true of the British Army.

Painted ship[s, and planes] on a painted ocean“…

From where, then, does the threat to Britain, to the British people, come, if not from Russia or China? From within.

Britain has been weakened, and wounded, perhaps mortally, by mass migration over decades, and particularly since the 1990s. I rarely go to London these days, having lived there on and off since 1976; when I do, I see a city largely foreign, even in the central and near-central areas. As for areas such as East London, forget it (there, it is a question of being in a totally alien environment, and if you see another white man, it is a case of “Hail, Robinson Crusoe“, pretty much).

The UK has also been weakened over decades by the trash pumped out on TV, radio, in films, etc. Much of it, though not all, can be laid at the door of the Jewish element. Jewish comedians, Jewish scribblers, and also those non-Jews who are generally the “useful idiot” type; pseudo-radicals. Look at the Opening Ceremony for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Then there is the sort of mass ideological subversion seen in “soaps”, TV ads etc. I have blogged from time to time about this, which surely must have reached a peak now:

Then there is subversion in the classroom, and the whole “woke” nonsense in universities etc.

For arguably the first time in British history, there really are now no external and proximate military threats to national sovereignty.

The real (major) threats facing Britain are not such as can be countered by the deployment of a tank, or a plane, or a battleship, even were those available.

There is all the difference in the world between fasting regularly as a spiritual discipline, and simply not having the money with which to feed yourself.

As to genuine fasting, used in various religions and occult disciplines, it works because the act of fasting according to a regular schedule imprints the greater perfection of the physical body on the etheric body and then on the astral body. A mild form of fasting would be the traditional Roman Catholic meat-free Friday, albeit that other food such as fish can be substituted.

…says Liz Truss, who was not exactly a noted or hard-working success story before she blagged her way into becoming an MP, which she accomplished at least partly on her back.

Even leaving aside the point in question, how ridiculous it is that “we” (as a people) tend to place those who simply have enormous amounts of money on such pedestals in the first place: Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos etc. Do they really have much or anything worthwhile to say beyond the ambit of their own businesses? Not that I have seen, anyway. Would “we” listen to their views if they suddenly had no money and were on the dole or whatever? I doubt it.

I wonder in what circle of Hell would Dante have placed such people?

London. Zoo. Monkeyworld.

My own take on all that is that the “Conservative” Government is a fake, useless, and clueless but that the “Labour” Opposition, or non-opposition, is much the same.

Jewish-lobby puppet Starmer has nothing to say, and many voters may just think “better the devil you know“, and so will either abstain or vote Conservative. I see no enthusiasm anywhere for Labour, and while that perception is personal and unscientific, I think that opinion polls etc reflect the same.

Both main System parties are dying inside their armour.

Not that there is enthusiasm for the Conservative Party either. In fact, Liz Truss seems to be less popular (both among Con Party members and the general public) than Boris-idiot.

At present, in my view, we are very much in hung Parliament territory but, as we all know, elections accelerate the pace as polling day approaches and, while that may be in late 2022, it may only come in late 2024, over two years from now.

How disgusting. It should be illegal to import “declawed” cats. This is an American or Americanized trend. How anyone can do such a thing to a little cat is beyond me. I suppose that it appeals to materialistic persons, mainly women (arguende) who are “house-proud” and do not want their (probably tasteless) furniture or furnishings damaged.

As far as I am concerned, I have always been content to let my companion cat or cats “distress” leather armchairs etc. So what if they are slightly worn to look at? It means that they do not look vulgar and new. Better to let the furniture look a little “distressed”. Shabby chic, as people say.

Well-meaning (?) actions often lead to terrible results. An individual has to balance possible sins of commission against possible sins of omission. In the Spanish proverb, “do what you will, and pay for it“…

I agree with “EternalEnglish”. There are many other countries that I have no wish to visit, but Pakistan would be at or near the top of any list.

That tweet moved me to find out how many of the ~200 countries of the world I have at least visited. Turns out— only about 50, so I have not seen three-quarters of the countries of the world.

I have not seen Latin America south of Panama, and even within Europe have never been to Portugal, Denmark, Norway, Finland, or Sweden (well, I did get to Malmo once, in 1982, on a ferry from West Germany, but was refused entry).

I have also not seen any of the former Yugoslav states, or Belarus, or the Baltic states, or Malta.

Actually, there are only a few individual places that I both have not seen but also might want to see, though the desire is not strong. Maybe St. Petersburg (I have only seen Moscow), as well as Oulu, Baden-Baden, Budapest (I have spent time in Hungary, but mainly in the southeast and at Lake Balaton).
