The satirical singer-songwriter, Alison Chabloz, is still under attack from the Jew-Zionist element. The latest news is that she will be on trial at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 26 October 2020. Her application to dismiss the charge(s) on strict legal grounds will then be heard, presumably as a preliminary matter.
There is a strict limit on what I, even as uninvolved observer, can say at this time, the matter being quite shortly before the court, but I shall keep readers of this blog informed as to any developments of which I become aware.
I happened to have to visit the small local hospital (not as patient) yesterday. As on another recent visit, the place was almost deserted. Patients all have to book appointments, that hospital has no A&E department, and no visitors are allowed (with the exception of a few like me). I was briefly seated in a waiting area with two muzzled ladies, one very old, the other maybe 70.
The very old lady started to talk about how terrible the “virus” situation was, and how it was “worse than the War“, that old chestnut. Well, she was about 80-90, so would have been either a baby or a small child, at most about 10-15, during that huge and unnecessary conflict. Anyway, she then droned on until I tentatively suggested that there are 8 thousand million people on the Earth, and 1 million have (supposedly) died from “the virus”. The old lady seemed bemused until I elucidated: one “virus” death out of every 8,000 people. Even then, I am not sure that she quite understood how few people have died worldwide from the virus, though she nodded, but the other lady then interjected, “I think that there is a lot of hysteria about all this“… Then I was summoned by a nurse, so the conversation ended there.
Anecdotal, and statistically meaningless. No argument about that. Still, when you see various people masked and quiet, you might think that all accept the System’s narrative. In reality, there may be many dissidents hiding behind those facemasks.
As for the “advisers” such as Professors Whitty, Ferguson etc, Stalin would already have had them shot. Here in the UK, we do not usually take such sanguinary measures, but those turbulent scientists should at the least be put back in their box.
So far, in 7-8 months, a total of 127 people under 40 have died from or with “the virus” in the UK. Out of 70 million people…The average age of death from/with “the virus” is 82.
I liked this comment from a Daily Mail reader: “Politicians are doing amateur science, and scientists are doing amateur politics.”
The World Health Organization just admitted that I was right. Lockdowns are killing countries all over the world. The cure cannot be worse than the problem itself. Open up your states, Democrat governors. Open up New York. A long battle, but they finally did the right thing!
Breaking! After judgement against #GoldenDawn, Slovakia's nationalist leader Marion #Kotleba has just been sentenced to 4 years and 4 months in prison.
As with the lawfare, UKIP safety valve & infiltration destruction of the BNP, their real crime was providing an alternative.
Whatever the true statistics might be, the point is that the “virus” situation has been folded in to the mix required by the international conspiracy, other elements being the whole “Greta Nut” climate panic, the LGBT-etc farrago, and the “Black Lives Matter” campaign. The conspiracy wants to get this rolling by 2022 and all stops are being pulled out to make it happen, from “holocaust” “memorials” (propaganda centres) constructed to dissidents arrested and/or repressed.
What is more extreme? -Importing millions of immigrants, many of them hostile without asking the native population. -Being opposed to that.
One might add that that is connected with the danger of relying on “social media” or any part of the Internet for a political foundation. As even the “controlled opposition” “alt-Right” wastes of space have found, the System can take away your prominence, even visibility, and Internet income very very quickly, leaving you an “unperson” of the digital age. Inter alia, Katie Hopkins, Tommy Robinson, “Sargon of Akkad” (Carl Benjamin) etc.
The most well-known and arguably most useless of these “paper tigers”, “Prison Planet” Watson, has had most of his outlets restored to him, so long as he toes the line…He has never defended my free speech rights, nor those of Alison Chabloz (persecuted and prosecuted) and Jez Turner (imprisoned). Oh, and Watson is always saying how much he loves the Jews…
(((Controlled))) opposition.
Only yesterday came the news that Facebook (i.e. the Jew Zuckerberg) will ban “holocaust” “denial” with immediate effect. Even that does not satisfy the Jewish lobby, who now want any and all criticism of Jews or their behaviour to be banned, under cover of the spurious “International Definition of Antisemitism” which in fact has been adopted by only about 20 out of about 200 states worldwide.
The only thing that matters is to command boots on the ground.

Keep seeing line about big public appetite for tougher lockdown. YouGov today showed on current lockdown:
40% say measures don't go far enough 19% say they’re about right 15% say they go to far
That’s 40% want to go further. But 34% don’t. Before economic impact is felt.
It’s quite incredible that we’ve now reached the stage where the response from those who demand we “follow the science”, to the question “we need evidence a circuit breaker will work”, is “no you don’t”.
This is the issue. When you ask for evidence of the effectiveness of proposed lockdown measures, people simply point to rising infection rates. Providing evidence of a problem is not the same as providing evidence your proposed solution will solve that problem.
Seems like Jew-Zionist troll and snoop “@badscooter” (aka “OG ABU POCH”) has finally gone up the chimney (though as yet only the Twitter chimney, sadly), following in the footsteps of his frequent (((interlocutor))) “@nathanjoseph198”, who went up the chimney a week ago. Both expelled from Twitter now, for casting dark (though empty) threats around. “What goes around comes around”…

I’m not going to look up all these people, because well they’re scum and I’ve already wasted enough time with you idiots(putting it nicely) but If you’re expecting sympathy for people who deny the greatest tragedy in human history based off conspiracies, don’t hold your breath.
Ecce the usual type of idiot useful to the Jew-Zionist lobby! That’s assuming that “John Sullivan” is not a Jew using a non-Jewish surname, of course.
“John Sullivan” is “not going to look up all these people” (of whom he has obviously never heard), because those people are (he assumes) “scum“! Idiot.
“John Sullivan” is, according to his Twitter profile, in California, but his method of expression sounds like someone with a British background.
At any rate, he is typical of the brainwashed who hate the fake history being questioned.
“Wouldn’t it be better to focus on shielding the vulnerable, instead of shackling the entire population? And above all, the six-million-dollar question: is this insistent nannystatism really the only way?
A few weeks ago I wrote in these pages about my recent visit to Sweden. Right from the start, the Swedes had no lockdown, no masks and no curfews. When I visited, I found the restaurants and bars packed.
The shops were a little quieter than usual, but still busy enough. Life, in other words, was going on. Mere anecdotal evidence, some people said. And it’s true that back in the spring, the Swedes made a complete mess of shielding their care homes, which drove up their fatality rates.
Even so, just look at the facts. Without imposing sweeping restrictions, and by trusting people to behave responsibly, the Swedes have avoided a second surge. Their figures for Covid deaths in the last three days were 2, 1 and 4 respectively.”
“They’ve also avoided the worst of the economic damage. According to figures released this week, the Swedes actually made a £4bn budget surplus last month. By contrast, our most recently monthly figure was a deficit of £27bn.”[Dominic Sandbrook, Daily Mail]
Now it appears that Boris-idiot is intending to spend £100 BILLION or more on useless testing. This is going beyond mere incompetence. It is getting to the point where Boris-idiot and the Cabinet of Clowns can be regarded collectively (with the “scientific advisers, as well) as an existential danger to the British people. They should be put down, pro bono publico, starting with Boris-idiot.
I sincerely hope that those busybodies get a good kicking.
Ha ha! Was just reading some of the Daily Mail readers’ comments, and I predict that the new toothless Handmaid’s Tale militia busybodies will face resistance. One reader said that they might end up upended in a wheelie bin! That, in turn reminded me of a incident from the mid-1980s.
When one of the Soviet ballet or dance ensembles visited the UK in the 1980s (I forget which one it was, out of several tours with which I had peripheral contact at the time via people I knew), the large group visited a number of Northern cities.
One day, a few of the main dancers were in, I think, Liverpool, along with their interpreter and their “Ministry of Culture” (KGB) minder. At one point, local “youths” decided to push over some wheelie bins and dustbins. Observing this, the KGB man asked an English person also there, “may I pliss do something about zis?” and, with that, approached the main youth, who was initially truculent until lifted up bodily and smashed into some more bins, with much clattering. End of the nuisance…
These new “marshals” remind me of the “PCSO” “police” (who are not actually police but sort-of look like them, and get paid about half as much). When the Jewish pack were trying to get me into trouble one way or the other, several years ago (in fact, I think that this particular incident happened in 2014 or 2015), the police were pressed into service, and a PCSO actually appeared at my now-humble home. A blonde woman from somewhere like Yorkshire transplanted to Hampshire, she had clearly not only failed to become a real policewoman but also dropped out of the Charm School.
The woman claimed that the Metropolitan Police wanted to speak to me and that my telephone number was required. I gave it to her. She wrote it down. I was told that the Metropolitan Police officer would be calling me at a certain time late that afternoon. In fact, there was no call.
The PCSO waste of space reappeared the following day, furious that I had (deliberately, she alleged!) “given her the wrong number” (I had not), and she said that if necessary she would call for a (real) police officer to come. I reiterated that she had been given the right number. I repeated it. The thick bitch checked. She had written down two repeated digits, but the right number had three repeated digits. The charmless bitch had written down the number wrongly but preferred to pretend that I had deliberately misled her.
The “Metropolitan Police officer” never did call me. There was a kind of ending to the story, though. I saw the aforesaid bitch in Waitrose some weeks later, buying some kind of “free-from” health food snack bars. I stood there until she turned around and saw me. She jumped! Ha ha! She maybe thought that I was about to assault her or worse. Let’s hope so…
I feigned amiability and said hello. She replied, dully. The woman actually then had the effrontery to ask me whether “anything happened” in relation to her visit to me. I thus had the opportunity to reply, “No; never heard anything. I expect that the police must have made a mistake.” Touché…
I did see the bitch once more, again some weeks later, after hours of heavy rain had just stopped. She was “walking the beat” down a side-road in the nearby town. Right next to her was a large and deep puddle, about 20 feet long. I had an unholy desire to drive and indeed roar past her, depositing a tsunami of rainwater all over her, but good sense prevailed (sadly…but she would either have recognized me or got my number). I took another way around.
In the following months, the Hampshire Police made most if not all of the PCSOs in my part of the county redundant for costs reasons, so she was probably chucked onto the dole. I hope that she was. Power-mad bitches like that should not be irritating and harassing members of the public and trying to intimidate them. Maybe she will apply to become one of Boris-idiot’s “Covid marshals”. If so, I hope that I see her patrolling after another cloudburst. I am less patient these days.

Free speech going out of the window. You don't have to agree (not sure if I ever have) with David Vance and Katie Hopkins. This is a worrying trend. https://t.co/i7xBBqY5kk
I never had much time for David Vance, the minor politico from Northern Ireland, who has now been “suspended” from Twitter (probably expelled in reality, like me, Katie Hopkins and thousands of others).
Vance is an unpleasant man who was rude to me on at least two occasions. Probably a minor freemason, certainly pro-Israel and pro-Jewish lobby. A typical Northern Irish/Scottish “kosher nationalist” or Unionist, in short.
These “kosher nationalists” never seem to see that, no matter how much they proclaim their misguided devotion to Jewry and Israel, the Jewish element hates them anyway, as do those dupes of the Jews known as “antifa” (who often, and risibly, tend to be both pro-Jew and anti-Israel!).
Having said that, Vance’s expulsion is the latest attack on free speech on Twitter.
The funny thing is that the anti-free speech types on Twitter (Jews, “antifa” etc) fail to see that their tweeting accomplishes nothing in the real socio-political world. Not only are tweets ephemeral but people tweet in little bubbles or, as often said, “echo-chambers”. I see the same people tweeting pretty much the same things to each other that I have seen for a decade.
I repost tweets on my blog because it is a quick way of making points or taking the pulse, but tweets have no real weight, politically.
[Update, 2 February 2022: Well, “Dave Spart”/Dave Monk has himself now been “deplatformed”! Point proven, I think. The Twitter wannabee revolution has devoured (another of) its own children. “I’m lovin’ it!“]
That “@TheRealGrumpDad” idiot, above, like many of the same sort, fails to see that his formula “you have free speech but not freedom from the consequences of that speech” could be said of, say, Stalin’s Soviet Union, Mao’s China etc. Yes, you can say whatever you like, but say the wrong thing and there will be “consequences” (imprisonment, even execution).
“GrumpDad” is not alone in his defective reasoning. A law lecturer from East Anglia, one Paul Bernal (a descendant of the part-Jew Marxist scientist J.D. Bernal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._D._Bernal), often tweets in similar vein. Pathetic.
Those who rub their hands in glee as dissenting voices are censored or expelled from, eg, Twitter, seem not to realize that, if all peaceful means are taken away, people will turn to less peaceful means. In other words, there are “consequences” to actions as well.
Brexit
As I have said previously, I favour exit from the EU and have done so for a long time, well over a decade, but the fact is that several prime ministers of the UK have messed it up. That applies especially to Theresa May and Boris-idiot.
I may have been mistaken on one point: I thought that the UK would in reality stay under the EU’s rule even if the UK left the EU formally. Some kind of “agreement”, so little change on the ground (akin to the past year). To my surprise, it now seems that the UK might really leave, and under conditions of chaos and confusion. We read of government contingency plans involving the use of troops to contain urban discontent if there are shortages of medicine and even food.
In the immortal words of that little moneygrubbing MP, Johnny Mercer, this is shaping up to be be a complete “shitshow”.
Add to the above Brexit confusion the “virus” absurdities of this government, the continuing migration-invasion, and the general economic slide (including the slide in confidence and currency) and you have the basic conditions for a situation in a year or two which is, in principle, very favourable for social nationalism.
Asset-buying
The very wealthy are buying assets. Confidence in the pound sterling is waning. Gold continues to appreciate in value, and I have noticed that, compared to 10 or even 5 years ago, large estates are not readily available now for any money. For example, Rightmove had numerous large Scottish estates for sale at any one moment during the years 2010-2018 or 2019, but now there are few. Any that come onto the market go quickly.
The same is true of England. Valuable real estate is being bought up now, as a hedge. For example, one place, a house with 40 acres and a sea view, and only a mile from my own humble home, has just sold for £8.5 million, having been up for sale for weeks only. Another, about 5 miles away, seems to have sold for about £6 million.
These otherwise unremarkable incidents are all signs of a lack of confidence in both cash and equities.
Meanwhile, we are in the hands of people whose incompetence is boundless, led by a total idiot who has somehow been elevated to the position and rank of a prime minister, but who is incapable of fulfilling that role with even modest competence.
Boris-idiot is now planning to spend £100 BILLION (!) on entirely useless daily or weekly testing of the entire population! For a disease or condition which is now killing only 1 person out of thousand upon thousand of the population! It is madness. As said before, is this just total incompetence, or is it a form of conspiracy and treason?

📉 In both London and Sweden, case and death rates have plummeted.
Some research suggests that regions acquire partial herd immunity at 20% exposure. Earlier estimates had suggested up to 70% exposure would be needed. If true, this could be very good news https://t.co/sk2FMwAZmcpic.twitter.com/qZhYBP2aZr
My view about all that has changed little or not at all in the past 5 months. I think that “the virus” swept through Europe in March/April, peaked then, and after that subsided. The death toll in the UK has dropped steadily since just before the middle of April, and that has been the situation in most if not all of Europe, regardless of whether the country concerned had a “lockdown” (shutdown of almost everything) or not.
Naturally, mass testing has resulted in many more “new cases”, people who, yes, have “the virus”, but who have few or no symptoms. Ludicrously, the recent increase or bulge in “cases” has trumped the falling death rate in terms of the governmental response.
As for the facemask nonsense, only now, when the death rate is almost flat, has the UK government of clowns mandated the wearing of masks or muzzles.
At present, in August 2020, on any given day, any UK resident has a one in THREE MILLION chance of dying with or from (mostly “with”) Coronavirus! At present, for example, a UK resident would have to take about 11,000 train journeys to even be infected! Not to die; just to be infected.
A society cannot live, certainly cannot live decently, when its population is muzzled and its economy shut down. Now, at last, most businesses in the UK are again open, but the retail ones are supposed to police the wearing of facemasks by their customers. I cannot see that that will encourage shoppers; quite to the contrary.
Already, millions of people in this country have been laid off (or not taken on) despite the “furlough” and other payments from central government funds. There will almost certainly be millions more.
This should be, in logic, the moment when everything is allowed to open up again, with the arguable exception of pubs and nightclubs. Of course, had it been my decision to make, Britain never would have been “locked down” anyway (except for pubs and nightclubs…and inward flights).
Boris-idiot and little Matt Hancock (advised by the ludicrous SAGE people) did everything wrong, pretty much: “locked down” most businesses, forced Britain to take a massive hit economically, destroyed much of the feeling that UK people still had civil rights, destroyed the proper functioning of the legal and courts system, turned the police into toytown bullies and nuisances, failed to stop inward flights; and even now are making the wrong decisions: mandating useless facemasks or muzzles, “locking down” towns or parts of cities etc.
Britain has survived a lot in its history, but I am not so sure that it will survive, in a recognizable form, this “virus” panic. Respect for the police and law has been greatly weakened, people know that the government are a bunch of clowns, but the official Opposition is similar and in fact almost invisible.
The consequences of the “virus” panic might be overcome, were they to stand alone. However, Britain has to contend with other pressures coming at the same time: the Brexit effect for one.
I supported Leave, support Brexit, but the governments of Theresa May and Boris-idiot have mishandled Britain’s exit to an extent that surprised even a reluctant cynic like me. Now, Britain is looking at potential chaos in some areas, at least initially.
Then we have the continuing migration-invasion, which not only does the government seem powerless to halt, but which it is actually encouraging! Boris-idiot has invited 4 million Hong Kong Chinese to live in the UK, which would require (will require?) enormous amounts of building, road construction etc.
To put it one way, 4 million people equates to nearly 1.5 times the population of the whole of Greater Manchester (2.8 million) or approximately the population of the Birmingham metropolitan area (4+ million).
To put it another way, Boris-idiot has invited a population the equivalent of between a quarter and a third of that living now in the entire London area sprawl to come to the UK.
Also, the “points-based” immigration system which is present government policy will mean that 660 MILLION immigrants could, in principle, come here. Yes, I know that 660,000,000 will in fact not come here, but 66 million might, and 6 million (oh…) or more certainly would.
In other words, we see that the incompetence of the present UK government masks more obviously sinister motives by those standing behind the present government.

Two points on the above: firstly, the tweeter may or may not be aware that, just like that little pissant Robert Jenrick, Keir Starmer is married to a Jewish woman (a lawyer), and their children are being brought up as Jewish. In other words, Starmer is completely in the Jew-Zionist pocket (to say the least); Starmer is also a Labour “Friend of Israel”.
Secondly, that sad scene from Jerusalem reinforces the fact that where Jews live in any but very small numbers, non-Jews have no decent life and certainly no freedom. That applies as much in the UK as it does in occupied Palestine (“Israel”). You only have to look at how Zionist Jews in the UK are trying to strangle free speech. Take a look at my own experiences in this regard, or some of such, over the past 6-7 years:
What the pseudo-socialists of today cannot accept is that National Socialism in Germany actually created, in a few short years (really 6 years only, the years of peace 1933-39) a society which gave the majority, in fact the vast majority, of the German population, benefits hitherto only promised as “pie in the sky” by finance-capitalist parties and the social-democrat and socialist parties, let alone the KPD (German communists), who supported the blood-soaked and poverty-stricken rule of Stalin in the Soviet Union.

It turns out that Ms. Butler was not stopped (in fact the car seems to have been being driven by a white man of some kind) “because she is black“, because that car had tinted windows! Or maybe it was after dark. Will check…
I expect that Dawn Butler would make a good candidate for my occasional series, “Deadhead MPs”. In fact, looking at her Wikipedia entry, I am unsure how she has avoided being profiled by me already: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dawn_Butler#Expenses.
Some Parliamentary constituencies in the UK, particularly in London, are becoming like some of the more “ghetto” cities in the USA, places where only blacks can stand for election, realistically, because the black mobs there will only vote for a black candidate, no matter how stupid, uneducated, uncultured, incompetent or corrupt.

“More Britons have been killed by flu and pneumonia than coronavirus for seven weeks in a row, new data has revealed.
Research published by the Office for National Statistics found influenza caused more deaths in the UK than Covid-19 between June 19 and July 31.
In the seven-week period, 6,626 Britons were killed by flu or pneumonia – compared to 2,992 coronavirus deaths.” [Daily Mail]

In the car earlier, heard a piano piece (via Radio 3) by someone whose name I did not catch, and who apparently was a noted young female composer who died young (I think that the presenter said aged 27). It caught my attention because it was called “Maida Vale“, and may have been (I don’t know) inspired by visits to the BBC studios, Maida Vale, which still exist: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maida_Vale_Studios (Wikipedia says that closure was announced in 2018, but as of today, the studios are, it seems, still in temporary use, if I did not mishear; I thought that the programme was being broadcast from there, but I was reading at the time too).
[BBC Maida Male Studios, London]
I myself lived in Maida Vale for about 20 years (but with breaks), though I was in Little Venice, and the BBC studios are much further out.
As to that short piano piece, it was actually quite intriguing, the style see-sawing between a French Belle Epoque composition and something almost in the style of Gershwin, I thought. That was my not very considered impression, anyway.
I was obviously wrong about her possible connection with Maida Vale Studios though, despite the fact that the building was constructed in 1909. She may have known the building, though not as studios. It was an ice-rink at first, and only became BBC studios after reconstruction in 1933-34.

I myself knew a lady who, as a young girl, knew Yusupov, who became a friend of the girl’s father and stayed with them in the 1930s at their estate in East Prussia. By a strange quirk of fate, the lady I knew lived, when I knew her, in Maida Vale and had done since the late 1950s.
It includes the fact that California is lowering the standards for its Bar exam, in order to have more black and Latino lawyers passing. At present, most blacks and Latinos are failing the exam. Solution? Make the exam easier…
The above triggered a few personal memories.
I passed the New York Bar exam in 1991, if memory serves. At that time, the New York Bar was the second-hardest American Bar exam to pass (after California). Over half the candidates in New York failed (In California at that time, about 55% or maybe 60% failed the exam). Some states held Bar exams in which the failure rate was only about 10% or 15%. I seem to recall that North Dakota (or possibly South Dakota) was the easiest, or one of the easiest.
I know those statistics (as far as I can remember them) because I took a course called Bar-Bri, a private cramming course which involved going to lectures (pretty good ones, much better than those I recall from the Inns of Court School of Law in London), given every weekday evening for about 3 weeks at the Manhattan Town Hall (just a name— nothing to do with local government in New York) on West 43rd Street: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Town_Hall_(New_York_City)
[Town Hall, 43 W.43rd St, Mamhattan, New York City]
Bar-Bri’s excellent written materials (included in their rather expensive fees totalling, in 1991, about USD $1,500) included statistics about the Bar exams of each state, what percentage of candidates passed and —of course!— what percentage of Bar-Bri customers passed).
The New York part of the exam was only a third of the whole exam as it was at that time (it’s different now), the other bits being U.S. Federal (inc. Constitutional) law and “Multistate” law, which is an odd concept, arguably, being the law as it is in a preponderance of the 50 US states. So if 26 states have a rule which 24 states do not have, the right answer will be whatever is right in those 26 states.
To take a very simple example, most states of the USA allow a motorist to turn left on a red stop-light in certain circumstances, but a few states (including New Jersey, where I lived) prohibit that.
The New York Bar exam was pretty tough at that time, the strictly New York law part consisting of about 30 legal topics of which only a small number would be examined. The problem, of course, was that you did not know which. Some topics always came up (notably “New York Practice”), some came up frequently, others rarely. Swotting for them all would have required a photographic memory. I made a choice and was lucky.
A couple of obscure topics on which which I had focussed (including “Commercial Paper”) did come up. I passed the New York Bar Exam with (as I recall) a score somewhere not far short of 90%, maybe 86% or so). On the final day of the exam, I thought that I had probably failed. Fortunately not.
[nb: I understand that the New York Bar adopted a different scoring system in 2016, one not involving percentages, so my reminiscences here are of purely personal or historical interest].
In fact, I was wasting my time taking and passing the New York Bar Exam. I never did practise law in New York, and later only used the knowledge or the status occasionally, though I did work at one time partly from Charleston, South Carolina, with an offshore law firm which dealt mostly with foreign jurisdictions (Russia, Caribbean states and territories, Liechtenstein, Channel Islands etc). The fact that I was an attorney and counsellor at law, New York, was useful in terms of people’s perception, as was the fact that I had worked for a while (in 1997, in Kazakhstan) for a major American law firm, Baker & McKenzie (now simply Baker McKenzie: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker_McKenziehttps://www.bakermckenzie.com/en/locations/emea/kazakhstan).
Reverting to the idea of making exams or other selection procedures easier so that certain groups (eg blacks who want to be lawyers) can have greater success in entering a profession, the concept is a slippery slope which ends in decadence. We already see, in the UK, that nearly half of young people go to some form of “university”, and that a huge number now get “First” or “Upper Second” degrees (at Oxford and Cambridge, about 94% get one or other such grade). Result? Degrees generally, even “Oxbridge” ones, are near-worthless, both in themselves and in terms of vocational “market value”. And what about the rights of those who will be advised, represented, treated (in the case of medics), or ruled (in the case of politicians) by such graduates?

The voice of the bossy nosey parker is heard in the land. From @alkcheet comes a perfect summary of the view of the Mask Zealot: Do what you're told! Who cares if it works? That's not the point. The good citizen is the submissive citizen. (The constitution of the beehive state). https://t.co/AKtZjrmhiC
Surgical masks are fitted and quite unlike the loose bits of cloth you refer to. They are antibacterial, not antiviral, and mainly designed to prevent infective material falling into deep open operative wounds. For the millionth time. @sheenagrindley. https://t.co/hJJwFEtp8O
A good point from Hitchens, and one that most people do not know. They think that their pathetic facemasks and muzzles are equivalent to surgical masks, just as some people think that the urban-operational clothing of the SAS is simply fairly standard black clothing as worn by the public generally, when in fact it is manufactured to be not only very tough, but flame-retardant etc.
Yesterday, I saw the last couple of minutes of some F1 racing programme on TV. Three commentating idiots, in the open air, with not another person in sight, and all three of them standing 6+ feet (more like 10 ft) apart, and all three wearing large black face muzzles. System propaganda, yes, but very stupid as well.
More on the filth that #Asda are pushing on children. "If you tolerate this, your children will be next" – ah, yes, they already are.#boycottASDA paedophilia. https://t.co/rhN3SiZHgW
The society which thinks itself “enlightened”, “diverse”, and even “free”, while in fact becoming a dystopian nightmare and a multikulti slave-society.
1/3 'Spain has a reputation for having some of the strictest policies on masks in Europe, with the public even encouraged to wear face-coverings outside….' https://t.co/DttaWTfpfp
2/3 '…Yet today, Spain’s Health Ministry announced that the number of coronavirus cases has continued to rise, with 9,848 cases counted over the past two days…' https://t.co/DttaWTfpfp
And so to Waitrose. En route, in the car (the subject of a recent, unexpected, and almost miraculous MOT pass), saw a silly rabbit wearing a facemask as he walked down the road, alone, not another walker, nor even cat or dog, in sight. Just a very few cars on the road.
I wonder what answer an idiot like that would give if asked “why are you wearing a facemask, indeed a large black muzzle, as you walk alone down a quiet suburban or semi-rural road with no-one else around?” Would he reply “Government orders!”? Would he reply “I don’t know“? Would he reply “I have a mental problem and feel afraid all the time for no reason”? Or would he reply “I am a truly senseless virtue-signaller“? God knows…
In Waitrose itself, I noticed for the first time this month quite a few people not wearing facemasks or muzzles. A minority, true, but they were there. How they managed to get past the two black-clad Handmaid’s Tale militia loitering near the store entrance, I have no idea. They may have said that they are exempted from wearing the muzzles; more likely, they wore facemasks to pass the militia, then took them off. It was good to see open defiance of the (possibly invalid) new and repressive “law”.
Incidentally, I noticed, on the back of the “militia”, on their black bomber jackets, the words “National Security“! Presumably the company for which they work. The country just gets madder daily. In fact, the “militia” look a dozy lot. I doubt that they deter (let alone catch) many, if any, shoplifters etc; their role seems to be purely to discourage non-mask-wearers. Mad. There again, the country is mad, the “government” of clowns is mad, the mass media too. So why not?
“Come with me, and I’ll show you where the Iron Crosses grow…“
Yesterday Sweden a country of 10 million people had 35 deaths from COVID 19. That is less than deaths from respiratory infections. They did not have a lockdown. Our governments are waiting for a vaccine which may never come , before lifting all restrictions. END THIS MADNESS NOW. pic.twitter.com/rGZ16N4qkY
Labour-run council bribed carehomes to take #COVID19 patients. The only question is whether this was mass manslaughter or mass murder.#lockemuphttps://t.co/8uEWn9FJQo
“They” hate us…Look at what happened in the 1940s: British troops fought for 6 long years against the German Reich, at the end of which the British also liberated Jew detainees from German camps. Their thanks? To be subjected to Jew terrorism both in Palestine and in the UK itself
Britain and the British Empire (killed off by the Second World War) should have joined with the German Reich in 1939 or 1940 to rule most of the world.
More tweets, as the UK economy slides
Department store chain John Lewis has said eight of its shops will not reopen from lockdown putting 1,300 jobs at risk https://t.co/ItLmXMO5cx
Meanwhile, I see many tweets from those who imagine themselves to be (usually) “socialist”, “Labour”, “compassionate” (when it suits them) etc. Most want more and deeper “lockdown”, so that a condition which kills, (in connection with other conditions) about 1 person in 2,000 in this country, can be defeated.
At the same time, common but deadly conditions such as cancer, heart disease etc are not being properly addressed by the NHS, which protected itself (and its staff) by shoving patients with, or possibly with, Coronavirus into care homes and elsewhere, so killing tens of thousands of people, particularly the elderly.
I like to scan Twitter for items of interest but, as I have blogged previously, political Twitter is very out of touch. A creature from outer space would certainly think that, in the UK, almost everyone supports “Black Lives Matter”, “refugees welcome”, the Labour Party, and that everyone accepts the “holocaust” fable, “gas chambers” and all, as the Gospel truth. Oh, and everyone hates “antisemitism”, of course.
That is the Twitterworld, as it now is and has become (now that dissenting voices have mostly been expelled). Then there is the real world…
I expect a huge amount of System propaganda today about the 75th anniverssary of VE-Day. BBC Radio 4 Today is going full Soviet Radio. It is like living in a parallel universe. In the BBC/Sky/msm universe, Britain “fought for freedom and won” in 1939-45, and today the Queen will “lead the nation” in a 2-minute silence. There will be speeches, RAF fly-pasts etc.
To a large extent, it is the Jewish lobby that now promotes all these contrived anniversaries. The 75th or 80th or 85th anniversary of whatever. It gives “them” the opportunity to yet again talk about “holocaust” etc. The line of travel is anniversary/WW2/Hitler/”holocaust”.
Meanwhile, in the real world, the UK government of fools has put almost the entire nation under house arrest, even calling it “lockdown”, a term previously used mainly in American and other prisons.
Leaving that aside, only on State-mouthpiece BBC (and the other System msm) will “the nation” (which scarcely exists now, as such) be waiting agog for the Queen’s speech, or taking part in any “2-minute silence”. In reality, hardly anyone will listen, let alone stand silent, though no doubt the msm can be relied upon to produce suitable photos or film clips.
That graph says it all. The virus wave, in reality, peaked in February, a month before the “lockdown” nonsense was imposed. The biggest fall was when the “wash hands” propaganda was launched in early March. That propaganda or advice was the best and in fact the only useful advice offered to the public. The “stay at home” advice/threat was and is all but useless (as of course is the “protect NHS/save lives” stuff, and the weekly social coercion of the “clapathon”).
@BorisJohnson is clearly absolutely terrified by the media. He is crippled with fear and will just keep lockdown for months and months. People need to get with the picture.
She is right. Boris-idiot is to a large extent a creation of a decadent and “tolerant” mass media. Inside the onion rings of rote-learned Latin and Greek, the Eton and Oxford polish, the public speaking skill etc is…nothing. There is nothing in the middle. Boris-idiot has no real programme that he wishes to implement. All he wanted to do was become Prime Minister, because it is the highest office the UK can bestow. Now he has achieved that, and so has nowhere to go, nothing to do.
So we have been under lockdown and they didn’t even protect the care homes in the end. My colleague @KathyConWom predicted this at the very beginning.https://t.co/Q5RCgAEmab
The facile answer to that tweet would be “well, no-one knew that a virus emergency would emerge”; but that simply begs the question as to whether these measures were necessary and/or proportionate. I think not.
Once more for slow learners, epidemiologists often try to baffle you by describing their work as ‘stochastic’ . Sounds serious, huh? But as the Oxford Shorter English Dictionary shows here, it means ‘guess’ . Pseudoscience works by dressing guesswork in a crisp white lab coat. pic.twitter.com/beNHaDeFuB
Government advice. Their so far unchallenged use of the 1984 Act to enforce this, scores of fines and arrests, police officiousness. Seems persuasive to me. If I go out, I have to explain my reasons to a state militiaman. This is not the country I grew up in. @brian_in_dorsethttps://t.co/JTSvVFXgV8
Guesswork, you mean. Proper science is about objective testing, repeatable, falsifiable, predictive. That is why we pay attention to it. Guesswork dressed up in a lab coat is still guesswork. https://t.co/AYWNfTfGGu
It is medically futile and economically disastrous. But it is politically useful to Dear Leader Kim Jong Al, too weak and indecisive to act just now, and hoping something will turn up. https://t.co/UeNJvQjCp5
Boris-idiot, posing as PM, has messed up the Coronavirus situation in every possible way. Those to whom he delegated power, notably the half-Jew Raab, and little Matt Hancock, have also messed up. “Boris” can use his supposed Coronavirus illness to escape some of the consequences on an alibi basis (“I was in hospital and not in charge at the time”) though that hardly washes, in view of the fact that most of the big decisions were taken by Boris Johnson and before he became unwell.
He is now back at No.10 and still will not admit that he was wrong or wrongly advised; he will still not drop the “lockdown”, because it would mean losing face. He is being supported by the Twitter mob, much of it, and by the Gadarene swine of the msm.
Result? Well, even the Bank of England is now predicting a situation not far short of economic collapse, at least in the short term. That is not caused by “Coronavirus”, but by government policies.
Basic Income
I have supported “Basic Income” for years. In fact, I first conceived the idea in the 1980s, when thinking about the future direction of society. Others, with more appropriate letters after their names, were working on it at the same time or later, it seems. Now, it may be that Basic Income is an idea whose time has come, or will come soon:
Most tweets seen by me were, as expected, replete with ignorance. Stuff about how “evil” National Socialism was, and how good were not only the Western Allies but the Soviet forces, including the Red Army pillagers and rapists. Such is the ignorance shown (especially on Twitter) that I would not bother to argue with it even had I still a Twitter account (the Jew lobby had me expelled in 2018).
I do not think that I shall bother to repost many ignorant tweets even to laugh at them, but here’s one, anyway:
The ignorant young woman above has, on her Twitter profile, “#law Graduate #LLM#LPC student #Lawyer wannabe. #feminist ~Ally ~ writer sometimes ~cynical always. #eurovision fan ~ Wine aficionado – Coffee Freak“.
So a trainee solicitor or barrister…good grief!
She thinks that “The only reason why WW2 was a success is because it was a European and common effort against the Nazis’ 3rd Reich.” Where does one start? Even leaving aside the evils of the Soviet Union under Stalin, there is the fact that much of Europe was either on the German side or neutral.
On the German side, inter alia (and taking only Europe into account), were Austria, Hungary, the Baltic states, Finland, former Yugoslav state Croatia, ex-Czechoslovak Slovakia, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria and, in effect, Vichy France. Neutral were Spain, Portugal, Eire (Ireland), Switzerland, Sweden, and small states such as Liechtenstein (and the Vatican).
Individuals from all over Europe, including the states ranged against Germany, and including small numbers from the UK, fought on the German side. Members of the Legion of St. George, from the UK, were among the last few valiant defenders of Berlin in 1945, as the rapists and pillagers of the Red Army broke through the last lines of defence.
The Jewish element has poisoned the minds of many, especially in the past few decades, via msm, fake-history feature films, the whole “holocaust industry” in publishing, wrongheaded and/or biased teaching in academia (secondary and tertiary education).
Relatively few see the Third Reich or National Socialism straight. However, only political Twitter, with dissidents removed, really cares much about it all. Tomorrow, it will all be forgotten again, until the (((msm))) finds another anniversary or event for the “useful idiots” to emote about…
Finally, the young woman tweeting above thinks (because told so) that “WW2 was a success“. Well, if you think that the deaths of 80 million people, the smashing down of much of Europe, the misery caused by the war, the post-1945 collapse of European rule in much of Africa and Asia (with consequent wars, civil wars, wildlife destruction, environmental disaster etc) was “a success”. That’s even leaving aside the drab 44 years of Soviet rule, in effect, across Eastern and Central Europe, which lasted until 1989.
I don’t expect much now from most British people in the way of independent thought, reflection, even basic knowledge or logic. That way, I don’t get too disappointed. Usually.
A few pictures from that Third Reich that that young woman is sure had to go…

More “words of wisdom” from tweeter “Em”:
Whatever the government says (and because I do not take it as valuable or worthy guideline or rules) I will not end lockdown.#IDontWantToDie
That is the semi-literate level of someone in Britain, in 2020, someone with a law degree, a Master’s degree (joke though that usually is) and reading for either the solicitors’ profession or the Bar…It is not a matter of shaking one’s head at one individual but of noting one person as typical of literally thousands of others.
Tweeter “Em” has the excuse of relative youth. What is the excuse of such as James O’Brien?
Here below, Peter Hitchens deplores the outbreak of war in 1914:
Well, was I right to be pessimistic about the future last New Year's Eve? https://t.co/puIL0vAyEz
He does not think that the outbreak of war in 1939, and in particular the declaration of war on Germany by Britain and France, was wrong. He is wrong.
Ah, here is faux-revolutionary fake Owen Jones (part-Jew, btw, for those unaware):
75 years on, here's to the courageous fighters who crushed Nazism and fascism at such cost and sacrifice, and to the millions murdered by a genocidal creed. #VEDaypic.twitter.com/CrurxEUmli
Vic, staying strong, on #VEDay. 75 years ago he celebrated the end of the War in Europe. Like others his age, he's so modest about the part he played in defeating Nazism. Whenever I ask him about the War, he simply says 'I can't remember'. To be fair he was two when it finished. pic.twitter.com/CAMzvlZ0Yt
1945 is now 75 years distant. Scarcely anyone who actually fought in it or was an adult civilian at the time is still alive. In Britain, “the War” still overshadows everything. Even the problems with a virus are referred back to “the War”! They are fighting on the beaches…against Coronavirus! How incredibly puerile… What they should be doing is fighting the migration-invasion, which is indeed, in part, quite literally “on the beaches”, mainly of Kent and Sussex. About 200 invaders a day now…idiotic Priti Patel is very quiet, for once. Useless.
Yes, sweetie, we have heard this, but since the govt has stopped publishing figures for ICU bed occupation, the only measures we have of Covid-19's actual power to lay people low and *put* them in ICUs are the death stats. And they suggest that the alleged threat never emerged. https://t.co/DCVeF16WxK
Peter Hitchens is basically an intellectual. He thinks or perhaps hopes that presenting facts, logic, statistics will convince people that the “lockdown” is a disastrous mistake that should be ended at once. The problem is that most people, including many who think themselves very clever, have only a thin veneer of intellect over the seething mass of emotion and will. The “lockdown” was accompanied by propaganda designed to affect the public on the emotional level, and by using emotional hooks, in particular that of fear. As Hitchens himself notes, the government of fools now finds that its own present desire to end “lockdown” (before the economy is destroyed almost totally) is thwarted by the same fear that the government itself has engendered!
The public, or about half of the public, are not willing to leave their houses because they are afraid despite the fact that there is actually no reason for at least 80%-90% of the public to be afraid! Most people, even if infected, show no symptoms, or few, and require no professional medical intervention. So far, fatalities have been, at highest, 1 in every 2,000 people in the UK.
There are other reasons why the public is not more keen to end “lockdown”. Some people live in pleasant large houses, with grounds or gardens. Some have swimming pools and tennis courts. I daresay that that description fits many of the houses of those droning dully every day on the BBC, Sky News, ITV News etc. For people in that position, and with no shortage of money (the msm is still paying 100% of pay; the same goes for MPs…), the situation is a kind of Oxfordian “Long Vac”. In fact, these days, for the affluent, with the Internet and its possibility to order food, wine, whatever, and to have almost anything delivered easily, life can seem like an endless Summer, albeit slightly restricted.
For others, not so fortunate as the above, there are other incentives: “furlough” pay at 80% of pay (with £2,500 per month cap). Many only make that much, or less, anyway, and the 20% cut is offset by the lack of need to pay for commute transport etc.
Only a small proportion worry about the civil rights aspect (the government dictating that the people stay in house arrest until further order, the antics of the toytown police and so on). That parallels all dictatorships. Only the few are dissidents. The dissidents are harassed, even imprisoned or killed (not yet in the UK, but who can say what it might be like in later years?), but if they survive they can become the next leadership cadre, as happened after socialism fell across Europe in and after 1989.
Amusing exchange…
If you say so. @paulhoo579937. But I struggle to think of an occasion when theoretical physics was used as a pretext for throttling the economy, wrecking small business and mass house arrest. https://t.co/l2NAobxc9m
I see that Dusty Springfield is trending on Twitter. She had an unforgettable voice, and was of course famous during my 1960s childhood.
The criminal Bar seems to have hit rock bottom…

Magistrates’ courts work never paid large amounts, but I can recall getting £5,000 for a week in City of London Magistrates’ Court in 1993. It could not happen now, partly because “old-style” committals (extended committal proceedings for trial in the Crown Court, in that case at the Old Bailey) no longer exist and because all criminal legal aid amounts have declined greatly in real terms.
Fees like that were rare (for me, at least) even in 1993 (part of why I remember it!).
“Private hospitals are empty and up to 40,000 NHS beds lie unused amid mounting fury over the handling of non coronavirus treatment as thousands of operations are cancelled and cancers go undetected.
Figures suggest that up to four times the number of beds are free than normal for this time of year after a huge slowdown in non Covid-19 admissions as health bosses aim their focus at the pandemic response.
Hospitals have cancelled ‘thousands’ of their non-urgent surgeries – like hip and knee operations and IVF treatment – to free up space for infected patients, and operating theatres, equipped with oxygen supplies, have been turned into coronavirus wards.
Nightingale hospitals, built for the expected surge in coronavirus victims, are also largely empty, and private hospitals taken over by the NHS at a cost of hundreds of millions of pounds are also barely being used.” [Daily Mail]
“Medics say up to 2,700 cancers are being missed every week as the numbers being referred by doctors for urgent hospital appointments or checks had dropped by 75 per cent. Professor Karol Sikora, a cancer specialist, has warned that the impact of the coronavirus outbreak could result in 50,000 cancer deaths.
Meanwhile NHS staff have been accused of making a ‘mockery’ of the health service as they faced a barrage of criticism for posting ‘tone deaf’ and ‘disrespectful’ videos of dance routines on coronavirus wards while seriously ill patients have their medical treatment delayed.” [Daily Mail]
[above: “NHS staff at the Tavistock Day Case Theatre in West Devon were forced to apologise after they filmed themselves performing a traditional Maori chant“—Daily Mail]
“Clap for the NHS”? Nein danke. The NHS is a very good thing, in principle, but the fact is that maladministration is a major problem, as well as underfunding. I have no time for virtue-signalling, nor for de facto enforced “community-ism”.
“NIGHTINGALES COULD BE RE-PURPOSED
It emerged today that NHS Nightingale hospitals could be ‘re-purposed’ to treat non-coronavirus patients to clear a mounting backlog of cancelled operations and other treatments.
Defence Secretary Ben Wallace yesterday said empty beds at the seven Nightingales around the country may be used for cases including cancer sufferers or ‘stepdown’ patients on the road to recovery.
It came as the Nightingales remain largely empty despite having the capacity for up to 11,000 patients.
The first of the seven major sites in England to open at the ExCel Centre in East London has so far treated just 41 patients despite already having a capacity of 500.
And the transfer of more than 30 patients to the hospital which opened on April 3 was allegedly ‘cancelled due to staffing shortages’, according to NHS documents.
Of the 41 patients treated in London, four have died, seven have been discharged to a less critical level of care and the other 30 are still having treatment there.
There have since been three more Nightingales open – in Birmingham on April 16, in Manchester the following day and in Harrogate in North Yorkshire on Tuesday.
The NHS has not yet provided data on how many people have been treated by any of these three, although the figure is believed to be dozens at best. This means the total number of patients treated at the four sites could be under 100.” [Daily Mail]
So, after all the hullabaloo around the huge instant “Nightingale” hospitals, at least one (on Tyneside) never opened for patients at all, and the others outside London have had few if any patients. The London one, capacity 500, which was supposed to be treating “thousands” of critically-ill patients has in fact received only 41!
Of those 41, 7 have been discharged, 30 are still there, and 4 have died. So, with known infection rates in London falling quite fast now, it looks as though the London Nightingale will soon be redundant unless repurposed, but it is a “hospital” good for only one thing— keeping patients alive who need ventilation or oxygen. It has no operating theatres or other usual hospital facilities, so it looks as if Ben Wallace is talking out of his ****.
Sweden, Britain, washing hands and other questions
It has been obvious to the non-brainwashed since the beginning of the Coronavirus situation that the only known way to stop its spread is widespread washing of hands, thoroughly, with soap and water. As I blogged almost two months ago, the survey of 2015, showing the levels of personal hygiene across Europe, exposed the fact that Italy, Spain and France were the least hygienic, the very countries where the pro rata infection rates have been highest.
Likewise, the only other really useful measures to help stop the infection on a mass basis are closure of or avoidance of crowded, hot, places where many excited people gather: popular concerts and dances, nightclubs, underground and other trains. Preventing people from walking, sunbathing, sitting on beaches or park benches are useless wastes of time.
Coverage of Sweden's rational approach to Covid-19 is perhaps becoming less hostile as the weeks go by https://t.co/BCQ6CG2sKI
Countries that avoided hard shutdowns have had fewer deaths per million – Japan (1.2 coronavirus deaths per million), South Korea (4.3), Singapore (1.8) and Taiwan (0.3) – than those that imposed most severe rules – Spain (397.6), Italy (358.2), France (256.3) and the UK (193.5). https://t.co/nxdci442Y2
A recent Cambridge graduate, who is accused of writing online that extermination was the "best option" for Jewish people, has appeared at the Old Bailey charged with a terrorism offence
It seems a strange idea at first blush. After all, we are brought up to believe that diseases generally attack people on an equal-opportunity basis. Whites, blacks, whatever. However, that is, like much of what people are told to believe, not actually true.
It is well known that some diseases attack, or conditions affect, only blacks: sickle-cell anaemia is one (showing that blacks do not belong in Northern climes). Likewise, though NHS and other propaganda concealed it or tried to conceal it, HIV/AIDS was much more easily contracted by blacks, half-caste blacks etc than by Europeans, especially those from North-West Europe or with family origins there.
Now we see Coronavirus affecting, in the UK for example, people of all racial origins, yes, but so called BAME people (including Jews) far worse than those of what might be called “Aryan” or more accurately “post-Aryan” origins.
Age is obviously the most important demographic factor in Coronavirus infection, symptomatics and mortality, but after that the racial aspect is obviously significant, though the importance is blurred by social factors such as modes of life, ways of life and living, housing etc.
I was struck by the Boris Johnson case. Here you have someone aged 55, of not only European but also Turkish and Jewish origins. He gets the virus and, it seems, was lucky not to die from it. His fiancee, Carrie Symonds, apparently European, and only 32 years old, showed symptoms and tested positive but suffered no more than slight discomfort before swiftly recovering. Makes you think…

I had to go out in late afternoon (Friday afternoon) on an errand even the new UK bully police would certify as “essential”, so was able to observe how many people were out and about in my corner of Southern England. In fact, quite a few.
I remember when the “lockdown” nonsense started, a few weeks ago (though it seems far longer). The roads were empty. Now, today, I should say that, though the traffic has not built up to the Friday or any weekday norm, there was rather a lot of traffic around. Private cars as well as delivery vehicles. Quite a few people on bicycles, too.
A police car saw me as I passed in the opposite direction. The police car had cars ahead of and behind it. It slowed. I wondered whether the driver wanted to check me out, but was unable to do so because of the road situation. In fact, he would have been wasting his time. My car has valid MOT, is properly registered, as well as fully insured and so on; my UK licence is up to date and without “points”. In short, and in those senses only, I am “kosher”!
As I blogged yesterday, there is a “yes, repeat no” thing going on. No-one in the UK is rioting about this nonsense of the whole population being placed under conditional house arrest; no-one is even protesting loudly in the streets. Yet, with the weather warm, people are just taking their chances of being hassled by the toytown police, in the knowledge that the relatively few police around cannot, despite being more in evidence than pre-Coronavirus, arrest, ticket, or even talk to every motorist, every walking couple, every sunbathing young lady…
It reminds me of what happened in 1989. In 1988, I crossed the “East German” (DDR) border by car from Poland, then the next day into the then West Germany (Bundesrepublik). The border was rather fearsome in a quiet way, despite the fact that I crossed at a little-used and rural crossing-point in the south of the DDR.
Yet, only a year later, triggered by an announcement from a government minister (seemingly unintended), thousands of DDR citizens built up at the Berlin Wall and just started to cross. The Grenzpolizei (border police, aka Grepos) did not know what to do…so did nothing. One illegal crosser— shoot him; a thousand? Ten thousand. Impossible.
That, in minor key, is the situation the UK police are in now. They can throw their weight around when only a small number of (harmless, law-abiding English) people are involved, but when a thousand or a million people decide that they have had enough of the misconceived (and in any case pointless) “lockdown” petty tyranny, the police are powerless to stop those people from doing things such as driving around, visiting beaches, walking in parks or even —what wickedness!— sunbathing…

Covid-19 related hospital fatalities in England by date of death:
Many people evidently have taken the “lockdown” at face value. This was an attempt by the global self-styled “elite” power club to see how far they can go in turning notionally “free” people into obedient, compliant, and above all unaware and bamboozled, serfs, clapping their own house arrest, in effect. Look at Cressida Dick, Metropolitan Police Commissioner and Common Purpose “alumna”, right there in the forefront. I was thinking that this was the result of stupidity [cf. the view of @ClarkeMicah/Peter Hitchens] but I veer now to conspiracy.
The plebs are easily manipulated…
“A woman says she was “named and shamed” by neighbours after she fell asleep and missed the weekly clap for carers tribute to NHS staff and key workers.
The mother said had been tired after “a rough night” with her son, and inadvertently failed to take part in the event despite having done so in previous weeks.” [Sky News]
If people actively wish to applaud the NHS, then that is their business and good for them. But any sort of compulsion or shaming directed against anyone who does not join in is totalitarian in nature. Applause that is not voluntary and spontaneous is worthless. https://t.co/qm8ChHxwXN
“The woman went on to write: “I just feel like I’m a total outcast on my previously friendly street now even though only one person posted it and only two others agreed
“It’s really disturbing how quickly people are ready to turn on each other and ‘report’ each other.”” [Sky News]
What many of the unthinking plebs would love would be a kind of “Nuremberg Trial” or kangaroo court every month (or week), with dissidents suitably “named and shamed” and then put in virtual or actual stocks so that the mob can throw things at anyone not going along with the official line.

Sweden is taking the rational, considered approach any grown-up government would take. You need to ask, why is the UK government acting like a collection of hysterical prep-school boys? https://t.co/A0Z15KMTT1
This is just the abuse of power by petty authority for its own sake. There is no reason to it. Exercise will *protect* people, especially older people, from illness and so reduce the general pressure on the NHS. People exercising have no major risk of breaking distancing rules. https://t.co/bgvKRUlbTv
Again, as Hitchens says, or implies, the little penpushers, the toytown police and poundland KGB are finding new ways to fill their time, new “rules” to “enforce”.
Yes @Barristerblog, but with much reluctance, and not because there's anything wrong with juries as such. It's egalitarian, PC societies that can't sustain them. https://t.co/b7wvZBL41e
Like most barristers (in my case, “ex”, since late 2016) who have done criminal trials, I am thoroughly in favour of juries, not because they are educated, intelligent, logical, or have any knowledge of the law beyond what the judge chooses to share with them (direct them as to), for mostly those qualities do not apply. No, the value of the jury is in the “sense of justice” within that small conclave. That may go against “the law” as written, against the evidence in some cases. It is a mystery, a mystery which worries the neat and little minds of some.
I can think of a few cases from my pupillage and later my own Bar experience (though I stopped doing most criminal work after a year or two, around 1995); other cases I have in mind were far more serious trials where the State was obviously thought, by the jury, to have gone “too far”.
The problem that we now have is that juries are so brainwashed by State and/or politically-correct propaganda that the accused might often actually be better off being tried by a “Diplock Court” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplock_court].
Care homes are a separate issue @dermotmcgrath. The government, especially after observing Italy, should have quarantined them. But it preferred to pretend (I think it still does) that Covid-19 was equally dangerous to everybody, and to make grandiose gestures. https://t.co/lKwT60MjEe
not sure why people are questioning the independence of SAGE when its lead by the eminent Professor of eugenics and population cull Dr Dominic Cummings pic.twitter.com/Y9nAARmbKY
Remarkable story from The Guardian. Cummings' place on SAGE must considerably lessen the authority of Downing St "guided by the science" line, given we now know, that to some extent at least, that scientific advice has been influenced by well, Downing St. https://t.co/XgwJQpyWCv
Have just spoken to Sir Bob Kerslake, former Head of the Civil Service. He told me that if Cummings is a full member of SAGE: “it’s both surprising and concerning. The risk is the government is leading the science when it’s supposed to be the other way round.”
“The scientist whose calculations about the potentially devastating impact of the coronavirus directly led to the countrywide lockdown has been criticised in the past for flawed research.”
“Professor Neil Ferguson, of the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis at Imperial College in London, produced a paper predicting that Britain was on course to lose 250,000 people during the coronavirus epidemic unless stringent measures were taken. His research is said to have convinced Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his advisors to introduce the lockdown.”
“However, it has now emerged that Ferguson has been criticised in the past for making predictions based on allegedly faulty assumptions which nevertheless shaped government strategies and impacted the UK economy…”
[Daily Telegraph]
Swedish scientists are sceptical about the Imperial College research that predicted 250,000 deaths in the UK:
I have no idea why Chris Packham used to block me when I had a Twitter account (maybe afraid of the Jew lobby that eventually had me expelled), but I wish him well in blocking this disgusting and pointless HS2 project, which is just corporate vandalism.
As in respect of so many things in the UK, I have to say that British people are very patient, almost superhumanly so. Little sabotage, no violence, no “action directe”…
Meanwhile, more from Derbyshire’s poundland KGB plods…
If only Derbyshire Police were as efficient in dealing with actual real crime as they are in stopping the harmless pleasure of the local people who pay for their jobs, or in acting like a poundland KGB (as with the way in which they have repeatedly treated the satirical singer-singwriter Alison Chabloz).
“Local resident Alex John Desmond wrote on Facebook: “This is a joke, the way this force is acting is not representative of policing by consent which is the way the UK is meant to be governed. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You have taken something beautiful and damaged it.” [Daily Mirror]
“Hate to point out the obvious, but UK has not embarked on the testing campaign because it would rapidly become apparent that we do not have the capacity. That would then lead to awkward questions about the wisdom of running down a country’s health service.
Far better to divert with Dunkirk, mass volunteer campaigns and hand clapping nonsense. Meanwhile our loved ones that work in the NHS are being sent like lambs to the slaughter without protective gear.” [Guardian reader’s comment]
Note how the Conservative Party vote in Scotland is unchanged in both parts of the poll. The SNP’s yet-again increased and unchallenged supremacy is by default: the Conservatives cannot increase their Scottish vote at a time when their decade-long neglect of the NHS has been highlighted by Coronavirus; at the same time, the terminal decline of Labour and the LibDems continues, as it does South of Hadrian’s Wall.
I refuse to believe that (as I privately predicted would happen) the recent acquittal of Alex Salmond on sex crime charges was not a purely political act of loyalty by SNP partisans.
Yesterday, UK “COVID-19” deaths were fewer than in the day before, 20% fewer. I notice that BBC TV News had that as “deaths increase by 209 from the day before”, which is true as regards the total but gives a completely false impression.
In Italy too, the daily total is falling, in their case for the second consecutive day.
It looks as though the virus situation is plateauing across Europe, including the UK. We shall have to see what happens in the next week, but there again, as has been remarked upon, someone who dies with Coronavirus (and may have other serious conditions) is being marked down as having died from Coronavirus. The fact is that rather few people die from this virus alone.
“In the next few days and weeks, we must continue to look critically and dispassionately at the Covid-19 evidence as it comes in. Above all else, we must keep an open mind — and look for what is, not for what we fear might be.” [John Lee, former NHS consultant in pathology, and professor in pathology, in the Spectator]
The fact is that, arguably for the best of reasons, the people of the UK have been put into house arrest for an indefinite period. I do not think that it can last for very long. It will last so long as people feel both afraid of the virus and willing to do what they are told is “the right thing”. The police cannot enforce these dictatorial restrictions by their own power, but only so long as people, or the people, tolerate them.
I start —very late— today, and with thanks to “Claudius”, an occasional commentator on the comment pages of my blog, who sent me the following short piece on Irish history; well worth reading:
In relation to the part of that article dealing with the Jewish-Zionist influence in contemporary Ireland, it seems that the existence of even a few “embedded” Jew Zionists (embedded in the “Establishment” or local power structure) can ruin a country. Indeed, that may be the result of even one such “embedded” Jew, as with Barbara Lerner Spectre in Sweden: see below).
[note the typical disconnect between “smiling” and any reason to smile. As someone once put it, “the simulacrum of the human”. Like a faulty electrical connection].
Another aspect of all this (and which affects the advanced parts of the world generally) is the existence and influence of the unpleasant System puppet, Greta Thunberg:
Where to start? Firstly, “Labour” and the “Conservatives” are not “two sides” politically in any meaningful sense. Two faces of one lying whole. The BBC is pushing the whole multikulti agenda to the max. It lies to the British people time and again, it pushes and promotes every kind of decadence, and that is before we even consider its overpayment of its supposed “stars”. Why is the former footballer Gary Lineker paid something like £2M a year to shoot the breeze about his sport? Why are newsreaders paid hundreds of thousands of pounds per year? And so on.
I am in favour of “public service broadcasting”, but most of the time the BBC is not it…
The Mayor of London cannot distinguish reality from semblance

There was a time when Sadiq Khan was spoken of as a possible leader of the Labour Party and even as a potential Prime Minister. That was then. Since then, he has failed to prevent multikulti London becoming a crime-ridden ant-heap split between masses of downtrodden people and the few who buy Georgian houses, fortify them, then excavate vast 10-storey dystopia-cellars below ground. In Xanadu, did Kubla Khan a stately pleasure-dome decree…
As always, credit where due: at least Sadiq Khan, by retaining his Tooting seat in 2010, prevented the evil Mark Clarke from becoming an MP. Clarke himself now has no prospect of ever becoming an MP and has been sacked at least twice for being a sex-pest. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Clarke_(politician)
Well, what can one say? Doormatting for the Jew lobby, trying to curry favour with the wealthy or influential Jews (the rest are not of interest to her or Labour, because even en bloc they represent only 300,000 votes and most of them vote Conservative anyway). She also seems not particularly intelligent. And why quote the “IHRA definition” of “antisemitism” when it has been “adopted” by only about 15 countries out of nearly 200? Is that more doormatting?
Rebecca Long-Bailey may or may not become Labour leader (it seems unlikely) but whether she does or not, she will never be Prime Minister. I mean, just look at her…
Oh, God…look at this! She’s just a lunatic, or at least an unthinking “me too-er”:
“I want the right to self ID and I want that enshrined in law”#Marr asks if Labour leadership candidate Rebecca Long-Bailey will reform the 2010 Equality Act which upholds the right to single sex spaceshttps://t.co/98s1CEmj0Ypic.twitter.com/wEHVElNX73
I had no great interest in Rebecca Long-Bailey previously and knew little about her, but I see now what a very poor candidate she is. She is a walking, purse-lipped collection of politically-correct soundbites. How can she even in her wildest dreams see herself as a Prime Minister?!
Listening to Twitter clips of Rebecca Long-Bailey and her supporter Angela Rayner (candidate for Deputy Leader) on the Marr show, I really think that Labour must be on the way out, despite the fact that it had very considerable support among younger voters (under the age of 25, especially) at the 2019 General Election.
Long-Bailey disagrees with Corbyn: “I do not think it’s right to call Israel or the creation of Israel a racist endeavour; I think that’s antisemitic” https://t.co/roF3v42Hia
How does Rebecca Long-Bailey consider that Israel as a state is not a “racist endeavour”? It was founded by Jews for Jews! Yes, they do employ some others, mainly the Palestinian Arabs whose ancestors they defeated in their ethnic-cleansing war of 1948. Does that change the nature of the state? The whole enterprise is a Jew ethnostate! That is one reason (as well as a place to dump the Jews that Hitler wanted out of the Reich, out of Europe) why the Reich did not oppose its — then only potential— founding.

Ireland
After the recent Irish General Election, many are trawling news from past decades…
Watched a new episode of Endeavour. Quite well-executed as always, but the “agenda”, as in other series such as Grantchester etc, becomes so very obvious that it is silly. Every second character is black, South Asian or gay. This in the Oxford of 1970! Even the tinker “gypsy” children who find one of the bodies near their caravans are playing football with a black boy; and the mother of a “racist” teenager who is stabbed later blames the “British Movement” and its Parliamentary candidate, so redeeming herself as a true multikulti convertee. All a bit too desperate…
Endeavour has also continued the Inspector Morse and Lewis tradition of a few subtle or not so subtle jests in each film. In this case, a Bangladeshi restaurant called The Jolly Rajah and an apartment building called Tiffin Court…
Even leaving the above gripes aside, the plot this time was nowhere near as good as in most if not all previous episodes.
Hypocrisy Corner…
Tomorrow and the day after people will read attacks in the papers against people, echoed by social media which will lead to depression and death. The same people who mourn #ripcarolineflack will join the press’s hounding of others.
A few things about which the former fireplace salesman and (briefly) Defence Secretary (now Education Secretary) might think, as he plays with his pet spider and formulates ludicrous plans to “take on” Russia with converted tractors sporting machine guns and Coca-Cola trucks made into missile launch vehicles…
Sweden examined, as social democracy becomes multikulti dystopia
This, below, was sent to me earlier this year via “social media” and is about the emergent Swedish dystopia. I reproduce it (with covering note) exactly as I received it:
“@ianrmillard this was the Gab post (just another thing about the Swedes)”
“I was an exchange student in Sweden a few years back. It was weird, creepy and depressing. There was an ever present ambience of fear in the people. A cult like monoculture of political correctness and complete cognitive dissidence. Cars burning, gang shootings, skyrocketing rape, robbery etc etc etc. This stuff was almost unheard of 20 years ago there. I am ethnically Asian (chopsticks rice… you know a real Asian) that’s why I wanted to see the Nordic culture while I was working on my thesis. I quickly found out that there is more Nordic culture in Minnesota then in Sweden. All I saw were hijabs, kabab kiosks and menacing gangs of MENA kids/dudes roaming the streets. The creepiest part was how the ethnic swedes were reacting to the shitstorm around them. Swedes would talk about anything except for what was relevant. Of course I got called a racist for asking questions. Yeah me the Asian guy who’s married to a Jewish girl with mixed kids. Okay so what’s important in Sweden? Glad you asked: Putting guys in prison for not having a WRITTEN CONSENT when they change sexual positions with ie their wife during sex… I shit you not! Please look it up! How about firing dudes for refusing to wear a pussy hats at work or putting a 75 year old woman in prison for speaking her mind about immigrants sexually assaulting her. Oh yeah let’s not forget about the 91 year old man who got convicted too. Swedish media is so monolithic, controlled and polarized that it make Vox look unbiased. My whole Sweden experience can be summed up as a fucked up Stephen King movie where it is never day or night. Just a somber Kafkaesque fog of melancholy and fear emanating from the walking dead as they lumber around in cold rainy darkness. So depressing. BUT WHY!?”
Forget the Americanisms, the poor grammar, the spelling mistakes etc. I am no longer shocked that something like the above could flow from the pen of someone (anyone) with, as it seems, a “doctorate”. Forget all that. Focus on the main issues.
First of all, I concede that I have never actually been to Sweden, unless you count that time, now amusing for me, when I was refused entry to Sweden at the port of Malmo. Yes, Sweden at that time (1982) actually refused entry even to bona fide visitors, let alone to hordes of migrant-invaders!
This blog post is about more serious general matters than my own occasionally picaresque life experiences, but in outline, I was going to Helsinki and decided to get a ferry from Travemunde Skandinavienkai, which at that time was on the border of the DDR (East Germany) and West Germany [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Travem%C3%BCnde], to Malmo; My idea was then to meander around the whole of the Gulf of Bothnia to Finland, hitch-hiking until I reached Helsinki. The sort of decision one probably has to be quite young (I was 25) to make…Anyway, my “plan” was shattered by a Swedish immigration officer, who decided that I had insufficient funds to be allowed into their social-democratic paradise. I was cast out (in effect deported, back to West Germany) and to this day have never seen Sweden (or Finland) except on TV and film.
I had seen odd TV documentaries about Sweden, and had read one rather critical book in or about 1970, but my idea of Sweden was of somewhere fairly socially advanced, technologically advanced, environmentally conscious etc. Modern shoebox-shaped white concrete and glass institutes, clinics etc, staffed by beautiful blonde girls in white uniforms, would pretty much sum up my idea of the country. This was long before the books and films of the Nordic noirs, of detective Wallander and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (which, particularly the Wallander TV series, pretty much ruined my view of Sweden).
Over the past 15 years, not only Wallander etc spoiled my mental view of Sweden and its society. I heard, at second-hand, about the gangs of immigrants making life hell for many Swedes, especially young ones having to interact with the invaders (including “invaders” born in Sweden…) in the neighbourhoods and schools of Gothenburg (Goteborg) and Malmo.
Since then, Sweden has been invaded on an even bigger scale by huge numbers of fake “refugees”, who in many cases actually turned down offers of asylum in Germany and even Denmark in order to reach Sweden.
Not that the invasion by non-Europeans and consequent social near-collapse is confined to Sweden. The Netherlands, Germany, UK, France, you name it.
Sweden, though, seems to have gone mad to an even greater extent than “Western” Europe (Central Europe too). Swedish society has perhaps been softened up by decades of social-democratic and “liberal conservative” government. “Anti-racism”, ever more mad feminism, some bastard progeny of self-flagellating Protestantism turned secular, perhaps.
In fact, a great deal of the whole debate in Sweden about the migration-invasion has been poisoned by such hand-wringing fake altruism. These people take pride in destroying their own race and culture in the name of some secular “saintliness” which is based on them lying to themselves and others. Look:
Pathetic bastards who probably think of themselves as well-meaning, or as the French say, bien-pensant.
The Jewish element is at the forefront of the encouragement of migration-invasion. There are quite a number of Jews in Sweden, mostly in Stockholm. Some are subsidized propagandists working away to destroy Europe’s race and culture. One of the most notorious is the appropriately-named Barbara Lerner Spectre:
We have seen at least two of the roots of the Swedish sickness (Protestant do-good-ism turned secular, and the Jew-Zionist “Messianic” element), and they fit in perfectly with the evil Coudenhove-Kalergi Plan:
but to those two already-noted strands must be added the social-democracy that ruled Sweden for so long. It gave Sweden many positive things, but in the end was simply unable to defend the Swedes against incursion by degenerate and alien forces.
Sweden went from being a rather socially-conservative society in the pre-WW2 period to being more liberal, with a relatively generous Welfare State in the 1950s and 1960s, but then fell into widespread degeneracy socially, sexually and politically in the 1970s. After that, Sweden’s superficially-successful but internally decadent society was unable to say no to the immigrant hordes.
“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.” [Matthew 7:6, King James Authorized Version].
Now Sweden is facing an existential threat:
Even the above documentary from RT [Russia Today] contains misplaced though understandable compassion (a European trait, after all), but remember that Biblical quotation…
Sweden is not in fact the source of the degeneracy and evil sweeping across Europe, but it is, arguably, the most contaminated EU country from the migration-invasion point of view. It merely shows in exaggerated form the same influences and effects that exist in other parts of Europe (and especially the EU states). What marks Sweden out is the authoritarian pro-multikulti State apparat, which has even taken away children from parents thought to oppose the migration-invasion. Also, the “journalists” in Sweden are almost all completely dependent and docile. We see the same situation in the UK, as with the scandal of Pakistani Muslims (mostly) sexually abusing young English girls. The same non-response from social workers, police, the compromised political element, the drug-abusing msm “journalists” etc.
The Sweden Democrats are now the third-largest party in the Riksdag [73 seats out of 349; the largest party, the Social Democrats, have 107].
Also, the air in Sweden may be cleaner if (as I read somewhere) the evil Barbara Lerner Spectre has actually returned to Israel. I do not know whether that is so, however. She may still be in Sweden.
It is all very well saying that the Spectre creature is a harmless crank, but in Sweden she has obviously had considerable influence, has received royal decorations from the infested Establishment etc.
