Incidentally, slave caravans would pass through the oasis of Siwa in Western Egypt, having travelled from Central Africa en route to the Mediterranean coast or the Nile Delta, as recently as the 1940s.

This is what pisses me off about the Jews and WWII.
Joseph Cohen got really angry at me about how many of his relatives died in WWII. My great grandfather saw his brother shot in the head on the battlefield. Does my family’s trauma count, or is it just the Jews? https://t.co/EqtlaGRuVf
Yes. One frequently sees Jews on Twitter etc [pretending to be] upset that “their family” died, or were displaced, or inconvenienced, during the early 1940s; people that those descended from them and alive today never knew, of course.
British or German people just do not weaponize (or, indeed, monetize via books, films, “reparations”, and “restitution”) their family histories in that way.
My own maternal grandfather [b.1901] was at Dunkirk in 1940, and later in Burma. My maternal grandmother [b.1900] lost two brothers in the First World War (both, I believe, captains of the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry).
British (and German) people accept such events as historical, and do not constantly try to use them as tags on which to hang contemporary socio-political issues.

This post by Andrew Neil yesterday spells out the cost and reward of failure. Its a scandal!
Holyrood serves no purpose other than to fill the trough for politicians, who otherwise would not survive in the real world of work.
Only 14% of the Welsh support the use of gender quotas when selecting political candidates. Again, woke ideas are nowhere near as popular as elites think (YouGov).
Strange minor incident. Taking a nap this afternoon, after having had a very early start today, I was awoken by a knock at the door of our tiny flat (the days of country houses and Caribbean villas being now long gone). I heard my wife agreeing to donate to the county’s air ambulance charity.
I was rather suspicious about the man at the door wanting bank details “to set up a direct debit“, so intervened and told the fellow that we would give another way. He left with superficial politeness; I could see that he was unhappy at being challenged (though I am not particularly aggressive).
I was concerned, so thought to call the police on their 101 non-emergency service. It then took something like 20 minutes to get beyond the recorded messages and just to get to talk to a human being (a pleasant-sounding lady) from the police and give her the details.
I also tried, twice, to telephone the air ambulance charity people themselves but, after an initial recorded message, was informed “your call cannot be transferred” and an unobtainable signal.
I looked up what the CEO of that charity gets paid: about £119,000 a year.
That small incident was typical of the way in which everything in this country is so screwed and just does not work. For a start, the air ambulance should be an official service, not a ragbag of private charities across the UK.
Secondly, it should be illegal for fundraisers to go around knocking on doors like itinerant gypsies. The public need to be protected.
Thirdly, how is it that the CEO of such a small charity (30 employees) gets a fairly generous salary? Yet their only public telephone number is non-operational. It’s poor.
There are too many boondoggles around, to use the American phrase. The “Major Tom” nonsense, with the quasi-fraudulent daughter and son-in-law, has surely brought that to public attention.
Fourthly, the police are almost absent when you need them. At the same time, the county police have apparently spent many many hours snooping upon and “monitoring” this blog, as they do the social media posts of others. The police need to get back to doing actual, real police work.
As a matter of fact, the Police and Crime Commissioner for the county will be elected this week. At present, it is some useless and enormous woman, a Conservative Party member.

If the Kiev regime imagines that a new army of forced and unwilling recruits will save the day, it is very much mistaken.
When the weather is warmer, and the Stavka gives the order, it is likely that the Russian armies in the east will start to roll, covered by massive artillery barrages and air cover. Any new forces recruited by the Kiev regime will simply be rolled over.

“BRIT billionaire businessman Joe Lewis has been sentenced for insider training. Here is the rise and fall of the ex-Spurs chief:
After quitting school at the age of 15, entrepreneurial Lewis went to work for his dad’s catering company.
Lewis began managing a super-club called The Talk of the Town – where the likes of Frank Sinatra performed – in the 1960s, and granted girl group The Nolans their first live show.
He then got a taste for business and took over the firm – turning it into a string of restaurants before flogging it in 1979 for a whopping £30million.
Lewis used his cash influx to invest in currency trading and was subbed The Boxer in a nod to his wild success and power in the investment ring.
Lewis forked out £22million in 2001 to buy a controlling stake in Tottenham Hotspur from Lord Sugar.
One particular investment on Black Wednesday in September 1992 helped elevate him to uber-rich status, as he successfully bet on the Pound crashing out of the European Exchange Rate as Britain tried to align it with other Euro countries.

Sir Alex Younger said Britons have been ‘infantilised’ since the end of the Cold War and the Government should consider having the power to ‘compel’ people to serve.”
[Daily Mail]
In fact, Younger is just part of the problem, and offers no solutions. [What might be called] “an educated cretin” who, after an expensive education, did 2-3 years as a Guards officer before joining the “niche career opportunity for the English middle classes”— SIS/MI6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Younger
Younger seems entirely unaware that, even now, the UK seems (not to me, but to most of the British people, meaning real British people) not worth defending. What does Younger think the UK will be like by, say, 2034? 2044?
By 2050, half of those inhabiting these islands will not even be British in any real sense. Does Younger imagine that they will agree to be conscripted? Incidentally, it is no answer to say that the agreement of the conscripted is unnecessary; enlistment of the unwilling usually produces poor results.
Younger seems to be part of that UK pseudo-elite at the top of UK affairs which is so featherbedded and isolated from reality—reality as most people experience it in this country— that the same (self-regarding) “elite” constantly get it wrong in every way.

“The toddler’s frail, malnourished body scarcely twitched as she lay helplessly in an incubator chamber in the already-decimated Gaza hospital.
Leila Jeneid, one of countless children who have passed through the doors of Kamal Adwan Hospital, in the north of the Gaza Strip, has suffered as a result of starvation and dehydration.
In a video clip, Leila can be seen quickly breathing in and out, desperate for a breath of fresh air in one of the 12 remaining hospitals in the besieged enclave.
The outline of her ribs, along with all her other bones, are visible through her pallid, paper-thin skin, which sits in stark contrast to the blue blanket underneath her that provides little comfort to the toddler, who is not old enough to comprehend the hellish suffering she is undergoing.
Her jaw is slack as she lies on her back inside the plastic cage of the incubator, barely able to move her arms and legs.
She can’t keep her eyes open as medics at the hospital, which UN official Andrea De Domenico this week said was receiving ‘about 15 malnourished children a day and is struggling to maintain services,’ run tests to understand how to help her.
But it’s food, water and proper rest she needs, all things that the whole enclave is desperately in need of, and all things that Israel has been accused of deliberately withholding from civilians in its bitter war against Hamas, which – according to a top UN human rights official – could amount to a war crime.”

Israel, and the Jewish lobby outside Israel, can now shut up about various matters that they claim occurred during the Second World War.
The “usual suspects” constantly promote books, films etc about events and/or invented events that are said to have happened, in any event, over 80 years ago.
“A father-of-five who was jailed and handed a £475,000 court bill after a dispute with his neighbours has been ordered to sell his home to pay for the huge sum.
Mark Coates, 56, and wife Louise, 52, have been involved in a ‘bitter, aggressive and violent’ dispute with their neighbours Brian Greenwood, 69, and Janice Turner, 65, after moving in next door in the countryside near Hastings in 2015.
The row arose out of a disagreement over a fence between their homes on a quiet road in Robertsbridge, a court heard. The Coates family wanted to replace the structure with a brick wall but Mrs Taylor argued this would encroach on her land.”
[Daily Mail]
When I was at the Bar, I advised and appeared on several such cases in the County Court, both in London and the provinces. Almost all, in fact all, should have settled long before they got to court, long before any barristers were instructed.
I think that I can say that I, and other counsel in the cases known to me, did our best to achieve reasonable closure, but these are cases (often involving trivial amounts of land) where reason always seems to fly out out of the window.
In many cases, all Counsel, solicitors, and the judge in the matter, understand that the matters in question should settle before enormous costs are racked up but, often, the litigants are effectively willing to risk bringing down ruin on themselves for a chance of gaining a victory over their neighbours (with whom they will have to live —nearby— afterwards, after the case ends, whichever way it goes), unless one party sells up and moves (in which event…well, you get my point).
If you told someone to remortgage his house, take out equity of £50,000, £100,000 or more, then go to Las Vegas, and stake the entire amount, maybe in one spin, on red or black at the roulette table, the houseowner would call you crazy, but that is, often, exactly what he or she —often a couple— are willing to do in taking to the County Court (in some cases to the High Court) such cases.
I remember one case I had that was about a wedge-shaped piece of land running the length of a North London suburban garden; at one end it was only about an inch or so wide and, at the other, about a foot.
What can one say? Territorial feeling can be very powerful.
Private enterprise —properly regulated for honesty, health and safety, employee rights etc— should run most commerce and industry, but there are exceptions, among which are the main structures of the economy providing services to the whole people: water supply, large-scale energy, electricity generation and supply, roads, railways.
I love talking to old people, people who don't have smart phones, and aren't on Twitter.
It's a window into a different world, the 1950s, 1940s, 1930s that is rapidly fading from memory.
Talk to these people any opportunity you get, learn about their world, you won't regret it.
Very true. As for me [b.1956], my memories of even the late 1950s are few, but those of the 1960s, and up to the present year, are many. Speaking very broadly, I should say that the dividing line between the UK of 2024 and an earlier and different UK lies, arguably, somewhen between the Thatcher election victory of 1979 and the fall of socialism in or about 1989. Maybe 1979 as far as the UK is concerned, domestically. Too much to cover here in a few paragraphs, though.
American urban planning history
When you think of American cities you think of places built for maximum efficiency and commerce – not necessarily for beauty and harmony. This photo often does the rounds… pic.twitter.com/REkPBUZTbe
It wasn't only public buildings. Take the Erie County Savings Bank in Buffalo (since demolished in an attempt at "urban renewal"): pic.twitter.com/0LKmMcLmCO
The public pushed back. The “Design Excellence Program” was established in 1994 to ensure higher quality public buildings. But the results weren't great:
San Francisco's Federal Building is so bizarre that it almost defies analysis… pic.twitter.com/huMW8VtzUQ
But something eroded American beauty more than this misguided artistry: efficiency.
The US once had dense, more European-style cities, and workers commuted via public streetcars. These were soon to be sacrificed for the great highways… pic.twitter.com/ti7vMxiVXp
Amidst a frenzy of industrialization in the 1940s, the US launched a decades-long project of freeway construction. Huge swathes of existing cities were demolished in the process, like in Kansas City: pic.twitter.com/BJhetxzhQh
Ironically, this breakneck pursuit of efficiency sacrificed what would today be some of the city's most profitable real estate. Those downtown buildings would be worth around $655 million today. pic.twitter.com/TBxcmKLrQ4
The dream of European-style cities in America was all but eradicated. Suburban sprawl meant cities lost significant chunks of their tax bases, and inner cities fell into spirals of decline.

So much for the “military experts”, many of which (as in the case of the reporter David Axe) turn out to be not very expert at all: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Axe.
People of that sort write their rubbish for (in his case) Forbes magazine, the Daily Telegraph etc, and people believe it implicitly because it is in (albeit wrongfully) “trusted” publications, yet much of the content is unreliable. Read Axe’s Wikipedia entry. Not an ex-officer, not a military historian as such, but a writer of fiction primarily, at least until recently. His reporting on military matters has been patchy; refer to the Wikipedia entry.
There are many scribblers of that sort. He is far from being the only defaulter.

Tail wags dog…again.
No one in their right mind should vote Tory at the general election. Yes, we have a lack of viable alternatives and we should work to find good independent candidates. But anyone who votes Tory has a form of Stockholm syndrome. The Tory government destroyed the country.

My appeal (to pay the costs of my recent free speech trial) remains open. If you can, please donate; if you are unable to donate, please share the link.
Toby, while I recognised you to be very much an ‘establishment conservative’ rather than a real one, I was prepared to let this slide in the hope that you gave a damn about free speech.
“Toad” is his right characterization. The fact is, that the “Free Speech Union” is part of the “controlled opposition” matrix: Breitbart, Toby Young, James Delingpole, Farage, Brexit Party, GB News, UKIP, Reform UK etc.
Anyone, or any organization, which adheres to pro-Israelism or pro the UK (or any other) Jewish lobby is contaminated and not worth taking seriously.
Here is Young, from 6 years ago:
“I’m currently in Israel on a press trip organised by Bicom — the Britain Israel Communications and Research Centre. Bicom does a good job of getting experts on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to give talks to journalists and I’ve attended a few in their London offices. But this is the first time I’ve been on one of their legendary excursions to the Holy Land, which they organise about six times a year. In essence, you’re given a whistle-stop tour of the country while being briefed at every turn by senior ministers and officials on both sides of the divide. It’s seventh heaven for foreign policy nerds, but I also have another reason for being here, which is to weigh up the pros and cons of emigrating to Israel.
Believe it or not, my entire family is eligible for citizenship under the Law of Return because Caroline’s father is Jewish. And the idea of moving here is genuinely appealing because I’ve been fanatically pro-Israel since falling in love with the place aged 17. I had just failed all my O-levels and was mooning about feeling like an outcast when my father decided to send me to a kibbutz. It turned out to be the perfect antidote to my adolescent funk.
I found everything about Israel, particularly its origins, deeply affecting, and in spite of not being Jewish I felt as if I’d discovered my people at last. I was inspired by the example of pioneering Zionists like Theodor Herzl to take control of my own destiny. I would return to England, retake my O-levels, go to a sixth form and, God help me, apply to Oxford. And when it all worked out, I felt as if Israel and the wonderful example of its founders had saved me and I swore an oath that I would always defend the country from its detractors.“
[Toby Young, in The Spectator, 2018]
‘Nuff said?
I have just read the article, or polemic, written by one David Hansard (real name David Johnson, it seems). Basic premise— cut back on free speech (labelled “hate speech”) in order to protect (approved) free speech. I have heard that before…
What a final straw, such a shame. No choice but to cancel my subscription to the @SpeechUnion – unfollowed.
You should state your views, and those of the FSU, on this matter clearly and unequivocally. This is a critical case and your dilly-dallying on it is discrediting you and the FSU.
Like any msm-approved figure, “Toadmeister” runs scared of the Jewish lobby. If they were to turn on him, that would be his fake “free speech” and scribbling and TV talking head career over at once.
Sam Melia and his wife Laura Towler are heroic.
As for that “David Hansard” (David Johnson) character, his background seems opaque. More from him:
Nope. I'm sceptical of free speech absolutism, which has its own orthodoxy and is often intolerant of being challenged, and which seems to disregard the problems which come with permitting someone to post such messages in public.
“Permitting someone…”— that is the wrong starting point. Free speech on social, political, religious and historical topics, is a right, not a privilege granted by some “authority”, not something that should be licensed or allowed on application, or risked on pain of punishment.
Like many people, “David Hansard” seem not to really understand the idea of freedom of expression. He is all in favour of it so long as it does not cause “problems” in society (for those in power, or profiting by exploitation), or cause “divisions”.
In fact, the “divisions” in society are not caused by those talking about things, but by the underlying realities:
A subject close to my heart. After all, later this week a magistrate will sentence me for deemed breaches of the notorious “bad law” Communications Act 2003, s.127, a prosecution procured by the malicious Israel-lobby pressure group (tiny but well-funded) which is pleased to call itself “Campaign Against Antisemitism” or “CAA”, and which has been boasting online about how it has been trying to have me prosecuted for 7 years or more.
Seems obvious and also fair under the 1986 law that such intention was present, in light of the contents of the stickers – even if the stickers were not in themselves unlawful. That does mean every anti-immigration opinion will soon be prohibited. This is an extreme case.
“Hansard” once again throws in a typical argument often seen or heard: Melia’s case was “extreme”, and most people need not fear persecution or prosecution. Yeah, right!
Presumably, “Hansard” meant to tweet that “that does not mean every anti-immigration opinion will soon be prohibited“. His Freudian slip tells the truth, though, despite his intention. Every anti-immigration opinion will soon be prohibited. Melia’s case is a clear signpost.
Already, almost anything not laudatory, and said about Jewish or Zionist behaviour, is almost by default deemed “grossly offensive”.
Incidentally, I notice that “Hansard”, despite having been on Twitter/X since 2012, has only 461 Twitter/X “followers”. When a pack of Zionist Jews connected with the “CAA” had my Twitter account closed down in 2018, I had over 3,000 “followers”, despite my only following about 50 accounts, mostly organizations. If someone had 3,000 “followers” back in 2018, the same person has at least 6,000 now, usually.
I do not know who or what that “David Hansard” is. What is his locus standi to be published, and/or boosted by Toby Young etc? I have no idea. Well, there it is.
Speaking of Sam Melia and Laura Towler, their crowdfunder [https://www.givesendgo.com/sammelia] has, as of time of writing, smashed through the £60,000 barrier and stands at £60,374, and still increasing.
I urge everyone to send at least the minimum (£4) and a message of support. Stick it to the System and the “usual suspects”.

I was Stunned. I wasn’t dressed in anything traditional, nor had anything indicating my faith. The fact that it’s a bizarre thing to ask, not this idiot’s, business, and just a weird thing for him to have done, I was just shocked – realizing that fairly a year ago he wouldn’t have had the gall to do that 1 million different responses raced through my mind.
And to my surprise, (and I’m sure to my Mom’s satisfaction,) the one I chose was to just turn to my friend, carry on talking – and ignore the sheer stupidity I encountered. No point in wrestling with a pig. You both get dirty & the pig likes it. My pride in my Judaism is not going to override my common sense. Wishing you all a lovely Sunday.“
Strange how Jews, or many Jews, find it absolutely insulting to be recognized as Jews (as does the one tweeting above, notwithstanding that he claims to be proud to be a Jew).
I have lived in a number of foreign countries, and would quite often be asked, unexpectedly, “are you [whatever nationality]?” I did not find it insulting (as a matter of fact, I was often mistaken for American or German anyway, as well as, on other occasions, correctly identified as English).
Jews are different. They seem to find it a deadly insult to be identified as Jewish, no matter what.
What can one say? Not much, since free speech is all but dead in England…
Only now, writing that, did it come to mind that I had such an experience when hitch-hiking, aged early twenties, going between Hammersmith Flyover in London and Herefordshire late at night. 1980, I think.
I was picked up by a large truck, and that truck took me most of the way. En route, there was the usual desultory kind of conversation. Eventually, the driver asked me where I was from. I replied that I was presently living in London. The driver then asked, “yes, but where did you originally come from? What country?”
It transpired that that truck driver thought that I was not English but something else, but he could not guess what.
Not sure why the driver thought that I was from a foreign country; maybe because I was learning Russian and German (part-time). In fact, I had that very evening come straight from a small Russian conversation circle in Belgravia (at the GB-USSR Association, a cultural and para-diplomatic body funded by the Foreign Office). Maybe that had slightly affected my normal speech, though it seems unlikely.

Macron is upping the ante and playing escalation in Ukraine with bad cards in hand . There is no unity in the European Union and NATO on the issue of sending troops into Ukrainian territory, and French ground forces are not ready for direct confrontation with the Russian army. pic.twitter.com/zg5TujM8j5
I used to think that NATO would stick together in the event of conflict with the then Soviet Union (and later the Russian Federation), but that was assuming that NATO’s basic posture would be defensive, defending Western Europe from Soviet invasion, or (later) defending NATO’s new front-lines in the Baltic region.
Now? I am not so sure, and Macron’s belligerence looks more like an unnecessary attack on the Russian front-lines in the Ukrainian theatre. Will other NATO states directly support an attack of that nature or support France if Russia attacked its armies? I am thinking “not necessarily”. I certainly cannot see the USA going that far. If it did, of course, it might lead to a Third World War.

Sam Melia and Laura Towler
[Laura Towler with her husband, Sam Melia, and their little child; another is expected within weeks, while Melia is in prison]
Most readers will know the facts of the case: Sam Melia sentenced to a term of imprisonment of 2 years, of which he will probably have to serve 8-12 months, while Laura Towler struggles with her child —soon, two children— everyday life, her house (she may have a mortgage, I do not know), and her small business. Therefore, a crowdfunder was set up to help her at such a time of crisis. That fund has now reached, at time of writing, £58,972, and still rising. Excellent.
The monies raised will go towards helping the couple survive the year ahead, and get them back on their feet after Melia is released. In addition, no doubt a small part of the money will be directed to helping him while he remains in prison.
Anyone can send modest sums to those in prison, via an official programme, using a debit card: see https://www.gov.uk/send-prisoner-money. To use that service, you need the prisoner’s name, his official prison number, and his date of birth. I have no idea of the date of birth of Sam Melia, but Laura Towler, Mark Collett, or Patriotic Alternative would be able to supply it (I am myself unacquainted with the couple, or Patriotic Alternative people, so have no contact details).
Message about Sam Melia from Laura Towler
Laura Towler has posted a message about her husband’s present situation:
“We can now write letters to Sam
I’ve just spoken to Sam. He is in HMP Leeds. He won’t be staying there for the whole of his sentence but it might take a while for him to move. He’s safe and has made friends. He’s been exercising and reading a lot. He says the worst thing (other than missing us) is that it’s quite boring, although the library is pretty good. He said he would appreciate letters from people to help pass the time. Please don’t get too political or the letter won’t get through.
Samuel Melia A3370FC HMP Leeds, 2 Gloucester Terrace, Stanningley Road, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS12 2TJ
You can include a stamped address envelope in the first letter if you want him to write back.
We can also send him books from their preferred suppliers and also email him. I’ll provide some more information on this shortly.“
The “men behind the wire”
I also happened to see the following, which may have been written also by Laura Towler (if not, then by associates of hers):
“I know I have posted about Sam a lot over the last few days but here are the addresses for Sven Longshanks and James Costello who are both serving time for the same public order offence as Sam. Sven will be out this summer hopefully but Costello still has over two years of his sentence left to serve, so he needs us the most.
It’s sometimes difficult to think about things to write as you can’t get too political but they are both intelligent men with an interest in history, literature and culture. They might appreciate a poem you like, information about what’s happening on the outside, or even just a message to say you are thinking about them and they are missed.“
Details below for both James Allchurch (“Sven Longshanks”), and James Costello.
Incidentally, “Sven Longshanks” (imprisoned for having published internet podcasts) also has a crowdfunder, both to help him survive in prison and to get him back on his feet when released (expected to be this spring or summer): https://www.givesendgo.com/SupportSven.
Also incidentally, I myself am due to be sentenced this week, in my case in the magistrates’ court, and for the political offence of having breached the Communications Act 2003, s.127 (recommended for repeal by the Law Commission but still at present on the Statute Book).

David Atherton says that “the law” is trying to shut down “the debate“. Behind “the law” and the Bench, and the CPS, and the police, is (in 90+% of such cases in the UK) the Jewish/Zionist lobby.
Also, this is not a “debate” but a war (so far a cold war most of the time).
Incidentally, many imagine that I just hate Israel and anything to do with it. Not so, as such. I like some of the Israeli town planning, and the efforts made to green the cities and towns; also, I like some of the modern architecture, and some of the agricultural, horticultural and hydrological techniques and projects (irrigation, de-salinization etc).
By the same token, I have only limited respect for many of the Arabs of the wider region (I have been to Egypt, Qatar etc several times, and, in the past, had occasional dealings with Kuwaitis and other types, as well as a few visits to Tunisia).
However, the Jews should never have been allowed or encouraged to take over Palestine and turn it into the state of Israel, and their brutal repression of the Arab inhabitants (including mass killings, deportations, and other “ethnic cleansing”) has been, in effect, a 76+ year war crime.
“What goes around comes around“, as the Americans say, and I think that the time will come when Israel will face fleets of drones and missiles, numbered in the tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands.

“Macron discussed with French politicians a possible French invasion of Ukraine.
The leader of the French Communist Party, Fabien Roussel, told reporters that the topic was raised at a meeting between the president and the heads of political parties.
According to him, Macron allowed the entry of French troops into Ukraine if the Russian Armed Forces break through towards Odessa or Kyiv.
“There are no restrictions and no red lines,” concluded Jordan Bardella (National Rally). “I arrived excited and left even more worried,” concluded La France insoumise coordinator Manuel Bompard,” writes L’Indépendant.
Also in Paris, they are now discussing issuing permission for French special forces to cross the Ukrainian border, to create a “strategic dilemma” before the Russian Federation. And French Foreign Minister Sejournet said that Kyiv has not yet asked Paris to send troops, but “nothing cannot be ruled out in the coming months.”
Ha ha! What’s that? Revenge for Napoleon’s retreat from Moscow, 212 years on? Madness.
I shall be sorry to see Paris destroyed, if it comes to that, even though it has become largely a poubelle (rubbish bin). France may have its force de frappe (independent nuclear deterrent), but if it ever uses it, Paris and all other major French cities will be annihilated.
The French discussions, though, do seem to give the lie to the outpourings of Grant Shapps and others. Macron is obviously not expecting a Kiev-regime advance in 2024; au contraire… he expects Russian advances upon Kiev and Odessa. So do I, though whether they will be in 2024 or 2025 (after the US and UK elections this year) is an open question.

Also, people from poorer countries outside Europe can live off small amounts of food-money, because they are accustomed to making their money stretch. I have had to do it myself a few times in the past, but it seems to come naturally to those such as a Nigerian girl I met in the 1980s, when she was a tenant of someone I knew. She would go to the street market a mile or so away in Peckham (South London), buy rice or potato by the sack, cook it with some hot spices and sauce etc, maybe add some small amount of protein, or not even that, and bingo…dinner served.
In fact, I seem to recall the same was true of a West Indian girl, another tenant of the same landlord, and also in the 1980s. She had been sacked for theft by her employer, the wife of an MI5 officer (she denied that she had stolen anything, but was sacked anyway), and was another one with basically no, or very little, cash.
I myself am not naturally a thrifty person, but I have blogged in the past about how I have had a few (in the American word) “hardscrabble” times in my life. You adapt, one way or another…

This week, I’m going to tell you how Labour also plan to make their political and cultural revolution permanent —by taking power out of the hands of the elected government in Westminster, out of the hands of the masses, and giving it to unaccountable quangos and civil servants you will never be able to vote out of power.“

“We are where we are”, in the commonly-heard phrase. For me, Britain’s main strategic move must be to withdraw from NATO before some lunatic starts a Third World War, and at the same time to pursue an independent course combined with a close friendship with the Russian Federation.

Money, in vast amounts, wasted on the “Covid” panicdemic/scamdemic, on no-hope stuff such as “Ukraine” (the Kiev regime), money wasted on Israel and the UK Jewish lobby, huge sums expended on the upkeep and health of millions of migrant-invader parasites, money in even greater amounts wasted on a largely-useless State educational system. Further vast sums spent on pointless “Defence” hardware.
As Goodwin says, all spent without much real benefit to the majority of UK residents, especially the real British.

“Women are having fewer children than ever before, official figures revealed today.
Office for National Statistics data shows the fertility rate — the average number of children a woman has — in England and Wales slumped to 1.49 in 2022.
It marks the lowest figure since records began in 1938, laying bare the reality of the ongoing baby bust that threatens to cripple the economy.

“By sending long-range “Taurus” cruise missiles to Ukraine, they will make Germany part of the Ukrainian conflict, German politician Sara Wagenknecht told the German media.
“You really think that if we deliver more weapons, the Ukrainians will be able to drive the Russians out of Crimea? Do you think Russia, a nuclear power, will allow that? If we bring war to Russia with German weapons, then we will also bring war to Germany,” she said.”
Sara Wagenknecht only finished her secondary education in 1988, a year before the collapse of the DDR (and, incidentally, the same year in which I myself saw the country, though only briefly), so she could not have been a member of the Aufklärung (the foreign intelligence component of the State Security apparat or “Stasi“). Had she been older, one might wonder.

Lee Anderson, and Ashfield (Derbyshire)
The maverick MP has been suspended from being under the Conservative Party whip.
Naturally, I do not agree with his statement that London is “run by Muslims”. Sadiq Khan is from a Muslim background, but has been pretty much in the Jew-Zionist pocket for many years.
It would be more accurate to characterize Sadiq Khan as “anti-white”.
As to Anderson himself, I suggest that he is trying to bolster his position vis a vis the General Election expected later this year.
David Marquand, a former MP for Ashfield (1966-1977; he is still alive, at 89): “Originally a tentative supporter of Blair’s New Labour, he has since become a trenchant critic, arguing that “New Labour has ‘modernised’ the social-democratic tradition out of all recognition”, even while retaining the over-centralisation and disdain for the radical intelligentsia of the old “Labourite” tradition.” [Wikipedia]. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Marquand.
Marquand defected to the SDP and then was honourable enough to step down as MP, not contesting the by-election.
In fact, Marquand was himself rather intellectual:
“Marquand addressed Britain’s relative economic decline in The Unprincipled Society (1988) and The New Reckoning (1997). He argued that this decline was caused by Britain’s failure to become a developmental state like France, Germany and Japan. In those countries state intervention had encouraged industrial development and had facilitated the necessary adjustments to competition. Britain, however, was wedded to an economic liberalism which prevented the state from undertaking the necessary measures to meet the country’s developmental needs.[7] In The New Reckoning Marquand claimed: “The economies that have succeeded more spectacularly have been those fostered by developmental states, where public power, acting in concert with private interest, has induced market forces to flow in the desired direction”.[8]” [Wikipedia].
In fact, Ashfield is not quite as “safe Labour” as the history might suggest superficially. Gloria de Piero won in 2010 by a majority of under half a point (0.4%, 192 votes) from a LibDem.
While de Piero’s majority increased in 2015 (as the LibDems imploded), in 2017 she beat the Conservative candidate by less than one point (0.9%, 441 votes). An Ashfield Independent came third with over 9% of the vote.
In 2019, Lee Anderson won convincingly: 39.3% of the vote, followed in second (27.6%) by another “Ashfield Independent”, Jason Zadrozny [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Zadrozny], who has had a chequered political and personal history. In third place came Labour, with only 24.4%.
Zadrozny is going to contest the seat at GE 2024.
So far, apart from Anderson (who may or may not be standing as Conservative Party candidate, depending on whether he gets back the Conservative whip), only the Ashfield Independent and Reform UK are presently known to be likely to stand at GE 2024, but a full field is almost guaranteed. There may be a dozen or more candidates.
At first, I thought that Anderson could probably be written off as post-GE 2024 MP, but now am not so sure. He has now (whether by design or not) distanced himself from the unpopular Conservative leadership —and possibly from the equally-unpopular Conservative Party— is anti-EU, anti-migration invasion etc, and is now known nationwide. He must have at least a chance of retaining his seat. If he does, and if he also retains it as a “Conservative” MP, he might be one of 100 or even as few as 50 such MPs. Who knows what might then happen?
[Update, 13 October 2024: In the end, what happened at GE 2024 was that Lee Anderson stood as Reform UK candidate, and won handsomely with 42.8% of the vote. He is thus now one of 5 Reform UK MPs. The Labour candidate came a poor second with 29%; third place, with 15.7%, went to that Independent, Zadrozny, who faces yet another Crown Court trial soon, in February 2025: numerous charges of fraud and income tax evasion, as well as possession of cocaine): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashfield_(UK_Parliament_constituency)#Elections_in_the_2020s].

Heba Alhayek, 29, Pauline Ankunda, 26, and Noimutu Olayinka Taiwo, 27, were each given a 12-month conditional discharge.”
[The Guardian]
The malicious Jew-Zionist cabals such as the so-called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” are fuming, of course. They love to see people charged, convicted and preferably imprisoned because of “offences” supposedly “antisemitic”. The 12-month conditional discharge was manifestly a just as well as merciful sentence, though it is unfortunate that the court saw fit to convict at all.
The whining demands of the various Jewish organizations are now just becoming a bore for almost everyone, including the courts, it seems. The woodentopped police, and the CPS, are still doing what those cabals demand (much of the time), but at least the courts seem both to retain some independence of thought, and to be waking up to the essentially trivial nature of many such “antisemitism”-related cases.
How absurd to charge people with a nominally “terror-related” offence just for wearing a cartoon or drawing on their clothing! UK society has no resilience at all now compared to the 1970s or 1960s, let alone 1950s. Society is now very fragmented, and has little internal strength.

What you see on X via Ford-Portes-Katwala is how academe works. Once you challenge sacred value (I.e. immigration = unalloyed good) you become target. They ignore (growing pile of) evidence which runs counter while trying to attack/silence dissenters
While it is true that the retail cost of housing, particularly sale/purchase prices, is influenced by a number of causative factors, mass immigration (migration-invasion) into the UK is probably now the main causative factor in making housing absurdly unaffordable; that is especially true of the housing rental market, and especially though not solely in London and the southeast of the UK.
The opposite contention, that (since 1997 alone) an influx of perhaps 15-20 millions (including births to immigrants) has little or no effect, is just ludicrous, totally illogical, totally absurd.

The upcoming Wellingborough and Kingswood by-elections
'We have discovered that she claimed at least £1000 of Brexit campaign funding to her own physiotherapy firm.' @NatashaC and @mrjamesob discuss Helen Harrison, who is the Tory candidate for the by-election caused by the suspension of Peter Bone – her partner. pic.twitter.com/uTV22Oc9Ji
The Wellingborough by-election tomorrow is a contest among 11 candidates. Five are Independents or joke parties. The others are Con, Lab, LibDem, Green, Reform UK and Britain First (which last I have not included as a joke party out of courtesy, but they are not my idea of a proper social-national party.
The Conservative Party scored 62.2% in 2019, despite having had Peter Bone as the candidate. Ordinarily, this would be a shoo-in for the Con candidate. This time, though, that candidate is Bone’s girlfriend. There is also the fact that the Con Party nationally is falling through the floor in terms of, inter alia, popularity.
Labour last won in Wellingborough, though very narrowly, in 2001. It also came close in 1997. Before that, only in 1966. In 2019, Labour scored 26.5%, a very poor second place.
The LibDems have never achieved 20% in the constituency since they were founded, though the old Liberal Party occasionally reached nearly 25%.
The other parties can be pretty much written off in this contest. I shall be interested to see how Britain First and Reform UK perform.
The bookmakers (Betfair Politics) have Labour on evens. Not sure that is a value bet. The Cons, on 11/1, seem to be a value bet. Reform UK is at 25/1.
The Con candidate, however tainted, is however batting off from a favourable position, given that her personal “partner”, Bone, achieved over 62% last time, in 2019. Her positions politically seem to be quite close to those of Reform UK; has she shot Reform’s fox?
This, as far as I can see, is between the Con Party candidate and Labour (as a kind of protest vote). Reform UK may take away enough of the remaining Con support to help Labour in winning the contest, but I am far from certain. You would think that either Labour or (even) Reform UK would win this, in all the local and national circumstances, but I wonder. It could be close among all three.
One thing is for sure: if the Conservatives lose badly in Wellingborough, it’s “Goodnight Vienna” for them.
Kingswood, just north of Bristol, is a constituency due to be abolished; it will not exist at GE 2024. There are 6 candidates: Con, Lab, LibDem, Reform UK, UKIP, Green.
The former Con Party MP, Skidmore, has bailed out (on a not-very-plausible “green” excuse), presumably in order to get a job in the “green” sector somewhere soon. Good riddance, anyway.
It appears, according to a New Statesman report (see below) that the area is —like much of England— in steep socio-economic decline.
I doubt that the Con Party has much chance. Skidmore was, in my view, not much of an MP, and his intellectual pretensions were just that. Well, he has now gone and, bearing in mind that the seat will not even exist in 6-12 months’ time, and that the present government is despised or hated by a great majority of the public, the Con candidate is a sacrificial lamb whose only selling point is his local origin (however, the Lab candidate was also brought up locally, and even attended the same school).
The Labour candidate is the former recent Mayor of Lewisham (S.E. London), though educated locally. The voters may like his local links (though he was actually born in Cork, Ireland), and may or may not be impressed by his having converted religiously from his native Roman Catholicism to Judaism (the religion, it seems, of his gay marriage “partner”). He is pro-migration, too: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damien_Egan.
Until 2010, Kingswood was fairly firm Labour territory. As in other parts of the UK, the decline in both industry and living standards has led to a fall in the Labour vote, perhaps counter-intuitively. There again, Labour is no longer the party of “working people”, and most of those people know it.
Having said that, people despise this “Con” government, and this by-election is a pure protest opportunity, the seat going up the chimney sometime this year, so Labour must have a very good chance here.
The bookmakers have Lab at even-money, but both the LibDems and Greens are on 2/1, perhaps indicating that many are considering a protest vote for either of those. As for the Cons and Reform UK, 10/1 and 50/1 respectively.
Bookmakers’ odds are a poor way to forecast elections, though.
Kingswood is, if anything, harder to call than Wellingborough except that, at Kingswood, the Con candidate has really no chance at all. For the Cons, their vote-share will be a pure vote on how the public see them. It looks bad for them. They received 56.2% of the vote in 2019. Now? I think that they will probably end up with around 10%.
If I had to guess the result, it would probably be a Labour win, though the LibDems may have a chance.
[Update, 27 December 2024: Well, Labour won the 2024 Wellingborough by-election easily— 45.9%, with Peter Bone’s girlfriend, the pretty nice-looking Helen Harrison, on a mere 24.6%, and Reform UK getting 13%; at the June 2024 General Election, Lab retained the seat with 40.3%, a different Con candidate got 27.8%, and Reform UK crept up to 21.5%, a sign of things to come, perhaps.
As for Kingswood, the 2024 by-election was won fairly comfortably by Labour (44.9%), with Cons on 34.9%, and Reform UK on 10.4%, Reform’s candidate being the businessman Rupert Lowe, now Reform UK MP for Great Yarmouth: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Lowe.
The Kingswood seat was abolished prior to the 2024 General Election. The reworked seat, Bristol North East, was then won by Egan, the former Kingswood MP (45.3%), with the Green in second place (18.7%), the Con on a mere 14.8%, and Reform UK on 12.9% (LibDems 4.7%)].

Then she stopped herself and said “of course don’t know if you might be an anti-vaxxer” I said “I wasn’t one, but the Covid vaccine nonsense woke me up”. I told her I knew a lot of injured people from the Covid jabs, and I couldn’t believe these highly novel, barely tested shots were being given to healthy, young people who stood to gain nothing from them, and that I was shocked that they were still being recommended.
She nodded in agreement and said the mRNA vaccines had been particularly bad, indicating she was aware of many people injured and killed by them.
Later in the conversation she told me that her husband had recently died of pancreatic cancer. And her son had been diagnosed with aggressive, metastatic colon cancer.
She did not appear to see a connection between the shots and the cancers. The timing of these tumors could of course, be mere coincidences, but I would have thought the question of a possible connection would be obvious. And given the frank medical nature of our conversation, I believe she would have mentioned a suspicion if she’d had one.
I find the whole encounter disorienting, suggesting a fragmented belief structure that I believe must be common amongst those getting their news from corrupted sources—the smoldering ruins of a collapsed mass formation event.”

I'm a fan of @Spectator but this is wrong. "The high number of immigrants to UK [are] highly skilled, more likely to work & pay taxes". Incorrect. We are importing LOW skill, LOW wage migration which takes more OUT than contributes to economy & public services 👇…
And unless we deliver sweeping reforms over the next few years, which seem unlikely with a Labour gvt(s?) this will only get worse, as I talk about here. We are not attracting the "best & the brightest". https://t.co/fvp6Iunciv
Labour Party rule will be as bad as the present misgovernment, or even worse. The same forces control both.
There are huge numbers of people in the UK who simply refuse to see what is in front of them. For those people, immigration into the UK —and into Europe as a whole— is somehow good (and even if not, “inevitable”), as is the resultant mixed-race society.
Deluded people, in the socio-political sense. As Hitler said of the 1919-1933 Weimar Republic mainstream, “they want not only their daily bread but also their daily illusion“.
“We will restore democratic control of immigration policy after we leave the EU”, Johnson confidently proclaimed. “We must be much more open to high-skilled immigration, such as scientists, but we must also assure the public we have control over the number of unskilled immigrants coming into the country”.
This promise — that Brexit Britain would be completely reshaped around highly-skilled, highly-selective, and highly-controlled immigration— has been repeated by countless Tories ever since and still guides Spectator-style Toryism today.
The only problem, as new data makes clear, is that it was a lie. A big, fat, barefaced Tory lie. The country, the British people, got no such thing.
Contrary to what Boris Johnson and then Liz Truss and then Rishi Sunak promised, Britain has not been transformed into an oasis of highly-skilled scientists and big tech entrepreneurs who are contributing more than they are taking.
Far from it.
Under the Tories, Britain has become even more a country of mass, uncontrolled, and unassimilated immigration —much of which is not high-skill or selective at all.
Consider just one of many mind-boggling statistics.
Over the last five years, about two million people from outside Europe arrived in Britain through net migration. But how many do you think came for work?
Just 15 per cent. That’s right. 15 per cent.
The rest entered Britain as the relatives of workers, international students, the relatives of these students, or as asylum-seekers and refugees.“
[from Matt Goodwin’s blog].
Few of the migrants are “high-skilled”, few work in “high-skilled” (or any) occupations.

🎙️ Why shld any voter listen to Liz Truss when she frightened the markets to such an extent the £ fell against the $, mortgage rates soared & the Bank of England had to step in to save our pensions?
Incidentally, Victoria Derbyshire misspelled the name.
An example of what is so wrong in that interface where public administration meets political propaganda, public relations, and low-level journalistic scribbling.
Look at his background. Five years of higher education at Oxford and Cambridge, studying natural sciences, after which he seems to have spent not far off three years working for Brexit-related pressure group organizations (Vote Leave, and then Brexit Central), followed by a year at the Guido Fawkes news outlet. Then? Straight to government as a Special Adviser (average pay is around £100,000 p.a.) in several posts over three years, culminating at 10, Downing Street.
After the fall of Liz Truss, Bennett left Downing Street (I presume involuntarily) and is now (after what seems to have been a year unemployed, or at any rate not detailed on Linked-In) in the world of politics-related public relations, like so many of such people.
People have to come from somewhere; no-one these days jumps fully-formed from university to government at a high level, but one wonders whose hands the government of this country is in when it is advised by people with so slight-seeming a background.
Odd-looking fellow. Must be about 32-33. Origins not known.
“SpAds” are a creation of the past few decades. Unnecessary,.
In the mid-Victorian era, public administration and much else was reformed: Army and Navy officer recruitment, the Civil Service, the Courts and legal profession etc. May be time to look again at how many parts of the public realm are organized.
Looking at the Liz Truss news, it is absolutely incredible that that silly woman now seems to imagine that she can return to some kind of political prominence. Her pseudo-“libertarian” ideology just does not resonate with the voters, and will not, even if conflated with some kind of anti-“woke”, anti-immigration ballast.
Matt Goodwin (continued)
Incidentally, that Matt Goodwin article reposted here above ends (at least the free-to-read version) with:
“While they’re losing support to Labour and Reform, they’re also now losing an even larger number of their 2019 voters to something else — apathy.
Many people in Britain are simply giving up on politics, no longer convinced any of the big parties can fix the big problems facing the country. And this is especially true for people who voted Conservative at the last election.
Most of the people who have abandoned the Tories in recent months have not gone to Labour or Reform. Instead, they now say they will not vote at all, do not know who to support, or simply refuse to answer the question from pollsters. And the number who now say this is not small. About one in three of them now say this.“
[Matt Goodwin’s blog].
Many many British people now, either consciously or unconsciously, support the kind of social nationalism that I do, but they will not admit to it, by reason of the muffled repression now part of UK society. Look at my blog.
I am going to be sentenced in the magistrates’ court next month for allegedly having published five (5) of the 1,700+ blog posts put on my WordPress blog since the end of 2016. If “the pen is mightier than the sword“, then the Jewish/Zionist lobby, using the police and CPS as proxies, are trying to take away that pen…
There is also the point that no proper social-national party or movement exists in the UK. The one that is most closely akin to such a movement, Patriotic Alternative, is itself now subject to repression. Sam Melia, one of the leading figures, has just been convicted, in the Crown Court, of “incitement”, on evidence that would have shamed the Star Chamber; his personal bank account had already been shut down a couple of years ago, along with that of his wife, Laura Towler.
Britain is not really anything like a “free country” now; it certainly has very little “free speech”.
Looking at the electoral situation politically, it seems that non-voting apathy might now amount to half of the eligible electorate. That might be seen as a positive fact, though. The right movement might energize that half of the population.

“Exclusive: BBC staff are being told not to hire candidates who are “dismissive” of diversity and inclusion. A recruitment policy document says that applicants should be asked to “what opportunities do you see for you to promote, celebrate or encourage diversity and inclusion in your role?”
The guidelines tell recruiters “don’t hire; [candidates who are] unsuited to the organisation” if they are “dismissive or derisory of diversity and inclusion and surrounding topics”.
Managers are also directed not to offer jobs to candidates if they show a “lack of interest in learning more where no evidence of education and understanding of diversity and inclusion was given”.
Commenting on the recruitment guidelines, a BBC source said: “The BBC is not a welcoming place for those with conservative opinions. Management talks about diversity, without embracing diversity of thought.
The place that I have given years of my working life, and that I sincerely cherish, currently feels captured by Left-wing activists and is unable to deliver on our core principle of impartiality.”
“Hiring on the basis of adherence to diversity and inclusion ideology excludes most conservative-minded people, and indeed much of the population.”
[Steven Edginton, Daily Telegraph].
The BBC, even more than other msm, is a nest of treachery and evil, as shown by its propaganda output during the “Covid” scamdemic/panicdemic.

I was just thinking, “just like the Soviet system of having at least one ‘politichesky rukovoditel‘ (political director, executive, supervisor, or commissar) attached to each ship or Army formation, and assisted by ‘sekretnye sotrudniki’ or ‘stukachi‘ (‘secret co-workers’ or ‘informers’).”
Meanwhile, in the real world, Britain is still being invaded daily…
It’s out of the headlines right now , but thought you should know seven boats carrying 1,000 illegals came ashore at the weekend- up on the same period last year. Forget the PR, it’s not going away.
It is with great regret that we report the death of Catherine McArdle, Deputy Librarian. Catherine passed away peacefully on Sunday 28 January. She had worked at the Inn since 1988 and was a much-loved colleague and friend. We send our deepest condolences to Catherine’s family. pic.twitter.com/DtjnfLDpL0
— The Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn (@lincolnsinn) January 30, 2024
Sorry to see that notice. I was a member of Lincoln’s Inn from 1986 until I was (wrongfully and unlawfully) disbarred in 2016, at which point my membership of the Inn was, effectively, terminated automatically.
As a very frequent user of Lincoln’s Inn Library, I knew Catherine for many years (1988 to about 2002). She was from the North (maybe North East) of England, from a family in a coal-mining community. Beyond that, I knew little of her personal life, though I believe that she got married at some point after having joined Lincoln’s Inn (and the photograph in that tweet, showing a ring, would seem to support that).
A nice person.
[The Library, Lincoln’s Inn, London]
Mortality. It comes to us all. Catherine, I now see, was actually 6 years younger than me. It reminds us that we must stand up for truth and justice etc while we live, no matter what challenges the forces of Evil array against us.
The brave IDF dressing up as women and medical staff to murder 3 patients they allege are ‘terrorists’ in a hospital Now tell me Israel is a normal, democratic state pic.twitter.com/5swxmmX0q6
Well, looked at from an ethics-free view (and/or from the Israeli point of view), that operation has the hallmarks of skill and cunning. Equally obviously, to kill patients prostrate in a hospital (one photo shows a single bullet-hole in the centre of a hospital pillow, with blood around it) is pretty abhorrent and, indeed, very wicked, something one would associate with the worst criminals and terrorists.
Frederick Forsyth was or is very pro-Israeli. I saw something from him once to the effect that terrorists who then gain state power (as happened in Israel/Palestine when the various Jew-Zionist terrorists of the Irgun, Palmach, Stern Gang /”Lehi” etc became part of the Israeli power structure) can leave their terrorism behind and become “normal” political leaders of “normal” states.
Forsyth’s view may have had its arguments when he was most fervently pro-Israel, in the 1960s, 1970s, but now the facts have changed or become more evident: Israel’s massacres of Arab civilians every few years, and of course the truth coming out more in the West about the ethnic cleansing (mass murder, and theft of land) carried out by the Jews in Israel/Palestine from 1948 to the present day.
Forsyth himself, who always strikes me as rather dim, at least politically, was cheated out of much of his invested money by a Jew he trusted (“Roger” Something), insult then being added to injury by the said Jew receiving a mere suspended sentence for the embezzlement of millions of pounds. That episode is, incidentally, absent from Wikipedia. “They” seem to have been “editing” (sabotaging) again…
Yitzhak Brik: a ceasefire for two months will mean the end of the war

Regular readers will be aware that I am to be sentenced tomorrow for allegedly having posted “grossly offensive” (anti-Jew-Zionist) material on 5 out of some 1,700 blog posts published since this blog started in late 2016.
It may be that part of the sentence will include a restriction on the publication of the blog. If so, the restriction might last for a year. We shall see.
Freedom of expression on political, social and even historical topics is as good as dead in the UK, and those responsible are, for the most part, those who may well be called “the usual suspects”.
I hope to resume blogging soon, but if that proves not to be the case, I wish all well-intentioned readers well, and hope to resume transmission in due course.
“Oh, when will Britain just grow up? We have no money, yet we spend billions on arming Ukraine in a dubious war in which we have no national interest. We cannot control the beaches on our southern shores, on which strangers land almost daily, but we tail along behind the Americans in the pretence that we can control the Red Sea as we seek (as far as I can grasp) to get entangled in yet another war in the Middle East. Haven’t we had enough of these stupid brawls?
We spend decades failing to do justice to wronged postmasters. We cannot keep order in our pothole-peppered streets. Our children can’t read or write. Our universities, when they are not imposing mad speech codes on students and teachers, sell themselves to the highest bidder to ensure they can pay their vice-chancellors’ enormous salaries.
We have created a society in which working hard is probably the worst possible route to riches. If you want to be comfortably off (and perhaps get a decoration or a peerage too), go and strip some assets, or sell dodgy PPE to the NHS, or some such.“
[Peter Hitchens, in the Mail on Sunday]
Also, from the same Peter Hitchens column:
“Might I too be sanctioned for saying the ‘wrong’ thing?”
“At some point I shall write at more length about the High Court’s failure last week to come to the aid of Graham Phillips, the unlovable video blogger sanctioned by the Foreign Office.
The case is not about Mr Phillips. It is about free speech, and whether the Government can punish people for exercising it.
I might say I was (in the judge’s words) ‘an objective independent and fair-minded journalist’ who had happened to say things that ‘did not align’ with UK Government policy. But how would I prove it? The Government would be its own prosecution, judge and jury, and my only recourse would be to take the matter before someone, well, like Mr Justice Johnson. Be warned. These are dark times for dissent.”
Don’t I know it! Sad to say, the likes of Peter Hitchens, Toby Young, Farage, the “Free Speech Union” etc have not mentioned my “case” once. Disbarred (wrongfully and unlawfully, which the Bar Standards Board itself accepts was the case) in 2016, and now facing court sentence (in a few weeks’ time) for having allegedly posted a few home truths about the Jew-Zionists in the UK and Israel/Palestine.
People might argue that the apparent lack of interest (or is it out of fear of the Jewish lobby?) on the part of Hitchens (himself of course part-Jew), Toby Young (uncertain) etc is because I am not sufficiently well-known (and so of too little importance) for those puffed-up characters to take an interest in how my rights to freedom of expression are being trashed.
Well, if so, that scarcely chimes with the assertion of the malicious Jewish or Jew-Zionist cabal known as “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”] itself, on their own website and Twitter/X account, to the effect that it has taken them seven years of effort to finally have the (corrupt and/or suborned) police and Crown Prosecution Service get me into court (magistrates’ court) and have me tried and convicted of having posted supposedly “grossly offensive” remarks, cartoons etc about Jews or Jew-Zionists on my blog (those remarks and cartoons being only a small part of the allegedly posted blog posts, and those five blog posts only 5 of over 1,700 posted since this blog started to operate in late 2016, over seven years ago).
As to my case itself, anyone interested might like to know that, though I am inclined to appeal the conviction (the trial was a couple of months ago), I shall only decide on that after the sentencing hearing.
If I do appeal, the appeal would be, in effect, a complete retrial, but this time in the Crown Court. There does exist another route of appeal, by “case stated” to the Divisional Court (i.e. High Court) on point of law, but I should probably take the more usual route if I do appeal, i.e. via the Crown Court. If that happens, the appeal might not be heard until late 2024, or even on some date in 2025.

Believe me when I say that Israel is facing an unprecedented crisis.
All their bogus claims of "anti-Semitism" don't work anymore. No one cares. No one is intimidated.
If you scan major UK news websites, you will see almost no mention of Saturday’s massive anti-Israel protest in London. BBC said “thousands” attended. Does this look like “thousands” or “tens of thousands”? Zionists went too far this time. The world has turned against them. https://t.co/l0McGOAipM
“They”, meaning (((they))), have thoroughly infiltrated the UK mass media, publishing etc over the past 75+ years. That applies even more to anything published about the Second World War, “holocaust” etc.
The next EU budget, which will run until 2034, may not include support for Ukraine
“Developing a budget until 2034 that did not include Ukraine joining by then would be a political gift to Vladimir Putin, on top of terrible financial planning ,” writes the Financial Times.
Ha ha. The Financial Times has lost all credibility in recent years, and politically is on or about the same level as someone such as Paul Mason. Pathetic.
Biden allows funding to Ukraine to cease.
The journalist asked the question: “What will be the next step to help Ukraine?”
To which the US President replied: “If my Republican colleagues do not finance Ukraine, they will have to pay very dearly for it.” pic.twitter.com/jjLhHo9wte

“Yemeni Houtis maintain offensive capabilities despite US bombing USand British forces in the Red Sea struck 30 targets of Yemen’s Houthis.
It is stated that “about 90 percent of targets were damaged or destroyed.” Lieutenant General Douglas Sims even states that “the strikes achievedtheir goal of crippling the Houthis’ ability to conduct sophisticated drone and missile attacks.”
At the same time, two American officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The New York Times that even after massive bombing, the Houthis retain “three-quarters of their offensive capabilities.”
“Locating Houthi targets has proven more difficult than expected,” as, according to the officials, “US and other Western intelligence agencies have not spent significant time or resources in recent years collecting data on the locations of Houthi air defenses, command centers, ammunition depots, as well as facilities for the storage and production of drones and missiles.” Currently, the Pentagon is forced to conduct an urgent analysis of the situation and literally in real time assign targets for troops to strike.“
The USA has a short collective memory. “What goes around comes around”…

You cannot compare the Israeli-Jew mindset with that of nominally Christian countries, or even that of the Soviet Union under Stalin; you have to revisit the Old Testament, in which the ancient Israelites wiped whole tribes and nations off the map.
Gaza government office -In 100 days, 23,843 people were killed in Gaza and 60,317 were injured. pic.twitter.com/DfTta7RC64
So in just over three months, the Israeli war machine has killed or injured over 84,000 people, the vast majority civilians. It is worth remembering, also, that about half of those killed or injured have been under 18 years of age, and about half of those under 12 years of age. Israeli war crimes.
Those supporting those war crimes, and who are resident in the UK, France, USA, are also guilty.
I certainly disagree with the overall state of society in Russia (as well as in the UK and Western Europe, let alone USA etc), but the fact remains that Putin “bestrides the narrow world like a colossus” when compared to political pygmies such as Sunak, Starmer, Macron etc, and of course poor old dementia sufferer Biden.
If you would not have sympathy for predators and pillagers who get hurt trying to break into and enter your individual home, why would you sympathize with predators and pillagers trying to break into our collective home— “this England“?

“Gonzalo Lira’s last public statement is chilling. He knew that if arrested, he would die in a Ukrainian prison. He pleaded for public outcry to put pressure on the U.S. State Department to do what it ordinarily does for American citizens trapped in these circumstances. But the outcry never came. The mainstream media ignored his story. So State Department officials were free to ignore the plight of a journalist who had criticized them. Gonzalo was abandoned.
And so the Ukrainian government could treat him as they wished, as they treat other dissenters and critics — with imprisonment, brutality and murder.”
Journalists and American citizen Gonzalo Lira @GonzaloLira1968 has died in the hands of the oppressive Ukrainian regime. The Biden run US government did nothing to help him while he was tortured over the past year. News of his death was met by leftist celebrations! pic.twitter.com/Ky6jBX8oQA
I published Lira’s last tweet (before his final arrest) a few months ago on the blog. Sadly, it looks as though the brutal, murderous, corrupt yet shambolic Jew-Zionist regime in Kiev has finally killed him.
Meanwhile, Rishi Sunak, the little Indian money-juggler presently posing as UK Prime Minister, is just now gifting the Jew Zelensky another £2.5 BILLIONS of UK taxpayers’ money.
— Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft (@PalominoOMG) January 13, 2024
Breaking: US citizen, author and journalist Gonzalo Lira died in Ukraine while in detention. He was harassed, arrested and tortured by the Zelenskyy regime after reporting the truth about the US proxy war. He was placed on a kill list by the Ukrainian Govt.
The Kiev regime is toast regardless of how many billions are thrown its way by Sunak, Biden etc. Its people are not reproducing themselves, its population numbers are collapsing, it has no volunteers asking to join its armed forces, only foreign mercenaries from poor parts of the world (the Western ones have all gone home or been killed off in battle), and the Kiev regime is press-ganging any Ukrainians able to walk and talk, regardless of health, fitness, and age (except the gilded offspring of the pseudo-elite).
“Ukraine”, the failed state, only keeps fighting because the UK, USA etc are supplying arms, ammunition, medical supplies, food, and vast amounts of UK/US/EU taxpayers’ money.
All the same, strategically, Ukraine has already lost. The failed 2023 summer counter-offensive proved that. Once the ground is hard, very soon, Russian armour will rule the land, as Russian air already rules the skies.
Ukraine’s electricity infrastructure is already largely shattered.
The Russian economy is doing better not only compared to the collapsed economy of Ukraine but also better than those of the UK, USA, and EU.
In any case, even if (which cannot now happen, realistically) the Kiev regime could contemplate advancing in eastern Ukraine or (impossible) southern Russia, Russia has devastating weapons which have not even been used yet, not least tactical and strategic nuclear weapons.
I repeat, “Ukraine” (the Kiev regime) simply cannot “win” this war.
Jesus H. Christ! There are still idiots, or maliciously tendentious types, like that Dominic Campbell tweeter, who can claim that Europe (inc. UK) is somehow better off because it is flooded by huge numbers of low-skilled, often hostile, immigrants. “Treason” is a word often bandied about carelessly, but what else is such deliberately misinformed and misinforming nonsense?
The said tweeter is obviously one of those who thinks himself part of a self-regarding “enlightened”/”woke” fake “elite”. Wrongly, at that.
Immigration doesn't lead to economic growth once you control for population growth.
It adds to total GDP by adding people & therefore transactions to the economy. It doesn't improve household incomes. https://t.co/6EGcE71xic
Immigration is good for the ultra-wealthy, and exploitative transnational companies, because a larger population creates more consumer demand, and because pay rates and benefit rates are automatically lower as more potential workers flood in. For 99% of the population, though, mass immigration is a disaster.
Research which CHALLENGES pro-immigration consensus is automatically challenged &/or "discredited" (Katwala/Ford/Portes) while research which REINFORCES pro-migration consensus is not. We need much more viewpoint diversity in universities, think-tanks conferences, etc https://t.co/Y0uaa16S3c
We, the British people, do not need more “debate”, more research papers, more msm yapping on chat shows or Question Time, more pointless dialogue with idiots or enemies. We need political action to create an ethnostate.
I myself am already facing a sentencing hearing in court, after my recent political trial, for having published the truth about what is happening in our society. I therefore cannot speak freely. Read between the lines, dear blog readers…
