Over the years, we have seen the users of Twitter etc delight in “reporting” “wrong thinking” and “wrong speaking” people to Twitter, or to police, or to others who might punish the dissident. Employers, academic institutions etc. As always, the Jewish element was in the forefront in “reporting” people, though others joined in, particularly the “antifa” idiot-crowd, and the allied self-describing “Left”.

A now-deceased friend of mine, acquainted with both Mosley and his wife Diana in the 1950s, always said that Mosley’s mistake was to accentuate the “Man of Action” and military aspect of his character (genuine though that was: WW1 officer of both the Army and the Royal Flying Corps; wounded in action), while playing down his more intellectual side (which my friend thought reflected his overall character more, though in the late 1950s Mosley was, of course, over 60).

Unless the Government simply props up airlines and travel companies (pointlessly), they are finished. Who on Earth will book a foreign holiday from the UK when that tourist (and family, if any) will now quite likely have to spend 10-14 days quarantined in a guarded hotel, and even have to pay for their own incarceration?! The various Government measures to mitigate, not the virus but the Government’s own policies in relation to it (“lockdowns”, “tiers”, quarantining, etc) bought off real popular opposition last year. The Government took a leaf from the book of Aneurin Bevan [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aneurin_Bevan], who said that he had bought off opposition from medical doctors to the establishment of the NHS by having “stuffed their mouths with gold” (i.e. allowing senior doctors (“consultants”) to take on private work as well as receiving relatively high NHS pay).
“Furlough” payments ensured that, in 2020, many received effectively the same pay as before, but for no work (“furlough” was capped at 80% of net pay to a maximum of £2,500 p.c.m., but that was close to 100% for most, when the costs of just having a job are factored in: travel, snacks, drinks, clothes etc).
Many others were able to “work from home”, which might have had disadvantages for some but many advantages for others: no travel costs; a saving of (?) 1-5 hours of travel on the day, depending on the commute; the possibility to organize the day to suit the employee; no “boss” people supervizing the employee directly, or able to see what the employee is doing during the working day.
Naturally, the higher-paid working from home would have been, and are, in a better position than the lower-paid: perhaps large detached houses, perhaps also with swimming pools, tennis courts, large gardens in which to relax etc. One could imagine some, working in between swimming, and perhaps drinking Chardonnay ordered online and delivered to the door (I seem to remember that, even nearly 20 years ago, Sainsbury’s would not only deliver my wife’s orders, but actually take the stuff into the kitchen for her).
Also, companies started to demand Government help. Even those run by tax exiles such as Richard Branson. Some help was given.
Not everyone was taken care of by Government largesse. The self-employed, thhose running the smaller and one-man companies etc. The majority of the population, though, was shut up in both senses by Government order and Government money. Even the unemployed (etc) on Universal Credit, got a £20 a week increase.
Now, however, after much to-ing and fro-ing, we find ourselves back in “lockdown”.
Once again, the furlough is extended. Once again, failing businesses are, in some cases, being propped up, smaller airports among them. For how long, though?
Today, we heard that Newquay Airport (which I myself used a few times in the past) will be given money. I do not know whether other airports I used to use, e.g. Exeter and Southampton, are in a similar position.
Let us examine what might happen. Let us say that “the virus”, whether because of natural decline, the vaccine(s), whatever, disappears some time in 2021 from the UK. Air travel will take a long long time to recover, especially if countries are to insist on quarantines and “virus-free” certification. Will UK airports, airlines, ground services etc need or demand propping-up for years? Is that even possible?
We read that the UK Government can borrow money at very low, almost zero, interest at present. Good, but for how long?
We now read that the Government wants to reduce Universal Credit by £20 a week, while chucking those currently on it £500 in cash. There may be a revolt by Conservative MPs, and a possible Government defeat in the coming days.
The argument over UC payments presages coming disputes. No matter how much can currently be borrowed by the UK Government, eventually that will become unsustainable. What then? Already, State benefits paid to the unemployed are at their lowest since 1992 and, according to other calculation, overall benefits were not this low in real terms since the 1960s, which however was a era of, effectively, full employment.
The present government cannot simply, say, raise the State Pension (“Old Age Pension”, as was) entitlement age from 66, where it will be from 2022, to he age of 67, or 68, or 70, not without a massive backlash from voters aged over 65, and they are a half of all Conservative supporters: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-politics-47909281. They are also far more likely to vote.
In other words, if the present government hits the pensioners or those looking at shortly becoming pensioners, it is toast.
The Government is looking at the unemployed and others as targets because they are less significant electorally, though at the same time, 40% of UC claimants are actually not unemployed but are in low-paid work.
Unsurprisingly, Indian “clever boy” Rishi Sunak is not going to introduce a windfall wealth tax. He wants to extract money from the poor or poor-ish, while not dooming his party electorally.
What about demand in the economy? Already low. The poor spend all or almost all of what they have; they have no choice. The rich, given extra money, invest it, often in hedging assets: property, savings accounts, gold etc. It makes sense to give more to the poor and less to the rich (however defined).
Once the various mitigation measures tail off, unemployment —and discontent—– will soar.
One can see storms coming. God grant social-nationalism the way in which to take advantage of them for the good of the people. “For the good of the people is the highest law” [Cicero].
Meanwhile, the USA has concentration camps today, both at Guantanamo and elsewhere, including secret ones. I myself have noticed how few large estates are on sale for long before being bought. I am sure that it is partly by reason of a drive for security. London is becoming a zoo. Fine, though an acre is very little, but, while that may be straightforward in parts of the USA, in Western Europe there are so many factors etc to overcome. This is the problem not only in relation to the “panicdemic” but also in relation to other issues which scarcely impact on the very wealthy, and only peripherally on the merely very affluent Westminster denizens, whether politicians or msm drones. Bicycle riders are a nuisance, especially in the semi-rural English coastal area where I live; dark clothing, often no lights, usually no street lighting. Having said that, car drivers are often very negligent too.
My own niece, an Australian citizen working temporarily in West London, was knocked off her pushbike early in the year, and was lucky not to have been badly injured. The “accident” happened at an intersection where she had the right of way. The driver briefly stopped , then sped off. The police (who could have seized cctv evidence from nearby businesses, but did not), were useless. The hit-and-run driver, probably a non-European, has never been traced, identified, or punished.
I agree with Hitchens on the liberty point (not to have to wear helmets) but it is true that many have lost their lives by reason of not having been wearing helmets.
Ig told me that his nephew had suddenly fallen down at home (in the Caversham Park suburb close to the monitoring station; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caversham_Park_Village); he later died. Ig was (unwarrantedly) suspicious of the nephew’s girlfriend, with whom the deceased had recently had a child; mother and baby also lived in the house.
Ig seemed to think that the young woman, a Ukrainian in her twenties, might have had a drunken argument with the nephew, and hit him with something. There had been a head injury, but the police were not treating it as suspicious.
Having heard of the deceased nephew (and having once briefly met him in London, several years before these events), I was aware that he was a fairly heavy drinker. On the night of the death he had apparently taken a fairly considerable amount of drink at the bar within the monitoring centre.
Anyway, I attended the inquest held in Reading, though only as observer (I was at the time not yet Called to the Bar). Ig had instructed Counsel, a fairly confident young woman whose name escapes me but who made a career at the Bar (I used to see her around the Inns in later years).
The inquest was a rather sad waste of time, as many are. The trail seemed to have gone cold.
However, some weeks after that, the report of the inquest, printed in the local newspaper, brought forth a bus driver who declared that he had been driving his bus one evening when a cyclist, not stopping where a cycle path met the road, and the man not wearing a helmet, had shot across in front of the bus, which had stopped short; the cyclist had, despite not having been struck, fallen off onto the road. He had been helped up, and had continued on his way, obviously somewhat the worse for drink.
So there it was. No espionage connection, no drunken domestic argument and assault, just a somewhat intoxicated man who fell off a pushbike and was not wearing a safety helmet. His choice, his accident, his death.

Had two relatively rare pleasures, one being traditional fish and chips, the other being a glass or so of Royal Tokay. The fish and chips was the first I had had for months, the Tokay (5 putts.) the first for at least 10 years. Both very pleasant.
At the same time, I saw University Challenge, another alumni match (Durham and Downing College, Cambridge). As on previous occasions, I did better than both teams. In a sense, that pleases me, but in another sense it displeases me (that highly-paid and respected broadcasters, scribblers and others are so damned ignorant in this country!).

Woke up to some interminable BBC World Service Outlook programme, based around a black girl with sickle cell anaemia. As Peter Hitchens has written, Ukraine has been at the centre of many of the conflicts of the past century. Bolshevism, the White Guard, the Russian Civil War, Collectivization, Lebensraum, the war of 1941-45 etc.
During the Second World War, many Ukrainians supported the German invasion, as they had the German anti-Bolshevik occupation after the First World War.
Now we have a situation which has developed from that where the old Soviet Union collapsed and, understandably, after 70 years of Sovietism and/or war, many Ukrainians felt that they would be better off independent of Russia, an aim of many since the 19th Century.
Sadly, many of the hopes of the Ukrainians were dashed in the 1990s and thereafter. Corruption, poverty, gangsterism, and a wave of Jewish carpetbaggers arriving from the USA and elsewhere. I even saw that some Jewess from Maida Vale (the area of London where I spent most time over the years) had bought a confectionery factory there!
Now, Ukraine’s President, Prime Minister, and other top figures are Jews! One is even a Israeli citizen!

Ukraine and Russia have always developed together. Not always in great harmony, but always together. That partnership is now fragile and under attack.

We may be looking here at the genesis of World War Three. At the same time, “NATO” forces are engaged in military exercises both in Ukraine and in the Baltic states.
Without Ukraine at least as neutral, Russia, as a near-superpower, is no longer in existence. Indeed, it would be not very viable, long-term, as a state at all, especially looking at the slow infiltration of Chinese influence in the Eastern part of Siberia (the former Soviet Far East).

The reality of the “panicdemic” is never shown on the msm. The reality is that, so far, while —worldwide— over a million people have died “with” the virus, that is after all one million out of eight thousand million people on Earth. Crucially, the public has “had its mouth stuffed with gold” to buy off criticism of all this. Key medical staff such as doctors have been given pay rises of over 4%, well above inflation. Employees and some self-employed have been “furloughed” on what amounts to, for many, full net pay. Even the unemployed and working poor not furloughed have been given a small but useful Universal Credit boost of an extra £20 a week.
All of those measures, now extended into 2021, have softened the blows of the economic shutdown (which is what “lockdowns” and “tiers of restriction” are).
It would be naive to imagine that such a situation is sustainable indefinitely, even though with “national debt” being created at very low interest rates, it is, for the moment, sustainable.
It will be interesting to see how the UK economy does post-Brexit. If not well, there will open up a real opportunity for social nationalism, but that cannot happen while the population is being cushioned in terms of personal finance. To put it one way, only when the population starts to suffer, and seeks a way out, will such an opportunity be realizable. As Lenin once said, “worse will be better”.

Again, I fully support British fishermen and the integrity of UK territorial waters, including our right under the Law of the Sea to an Exclusive Economic Zone, where applicable, but this is not an easy issue.
If Royal Navy vessels defend British fishermen and the fish in those waters from French fishermen, and if then the French Navy moves to defend the French fishing fleet, could there be undeclared war (akin to the 1970s Cod War off Iceland) in the Channel? As far as I know, that would be the first UK-France naval “engagement” in the Channel since the time of Napoleon.
There is another point: a high proportion (it may be 40%, it may be 60%) of fish taken in UK waters is then exported at once to EU states, mostly France and Spain. If France and Spain ban imports of British fish, or (via the EU) impose ruinously high tariffs, that will kill much of what is left of the UK fishing industry as surely as if the foreign fishermen simply took all the fish…
The only possible good thing is that fish in the UK will be cheaper, so at least the British consumer will benefit to that extent.
So the hit on public finances (ultimately, paid out of taxation by the British people…) might be as much as £50 BILLION! Even if it turns to be nearer to £100 million or £1 billion, rather than tens of billions, I fail to see why most should get anything or anything beyond a nominal sum. Even some of the more perceptive Jews have seen that, and regret (for that reason) that Alison Chabloz was ever prosecuted. They have tweeted about it.

I have never been to the south of Cyprus. I have been, though long ago now, to Northern Cyprus, at that time (the winter of 1999-2000) not as popular with visitors as it now is. I was able to hire a car and drive all over on empty roads, once right along the Karpat Peninsula, the eastern end of which is only 60 miles from Latakia in Syria.
I went to the Castle of St. Hilarion (a Crusader fortress) and to the ruined castle of Buffavento (a 2+ hour trek up a mountain path); that one, on the very summit of a tree-clad mountain, really deserved its name (“buffeted by the winds”).
I also visited most of the small towns: Kyrenia, Famagusta, Guzelyurt, as well as the capital, Nicosia, then split in two, completely demarcated and guarded, like Berlin before the fall of socialism. I remember going to the “Museum of Barbarism”, a memorial to the young daughters (and Greek Cypriot wife) of a Turkish Cypriot officer of the (British) militia force. You can see the holes in the wall left as the submachinegun rounds struck, including holes in the wall of the bathroom, where one of the victims, a girl of 9 (if I recall aright) had been hiding when she was shot dead.

In Cyprus, displacement of populations, and division of the island after the invasion by Turkish forces in 1974, which division continues today, though I believe that tourists can now go from one side to the other easily enough.

The answer to the above question by Hitchens is “probably not, not in the present generation, and probably not in the next“. I recall sitting in the Academy of Sciences building overlooking Luzhniki and the Moskva River, in 1993, and being told by Russian acquaintances about someone they knew who was targeted by gangsters because his flashy cars (inc. Rolls-Royces) had been noticed. Pay for protection or else. He demurred, saying that he had his own security force. One of the expensive cars was then destroyed by a hand grenade. He beefed up his security, and installed a bulletproof, grenade-proof garage at his “suburban” home. The response of the gangsters? Yes. Money is a fascinating study, even if you have none! While it is true that money is not a finite amount kept in coin in the Treasury, or the Bank of England, or (pace Mrs Thatcher) in the “housewife’s shopping basket”, there is a limit to both “Government borrowing” and its “printing of money”.
The UK Government was hugely overborrowed after WW2, about 2-3 times worse than even after Indian “clever boy” Rishi Sunak’s recent and temporary largesse.
You hear, or see on Twitter etc, the view “look at what the UK accomplished after WW2. Created a National Health Service and got the country back on its feet.”
You have to unpack that. Yes, the NHS was created, but it was rudimentary compared to today. Also, as that excellent but sidelined historian Correlli Barnett [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correlli_Barnett] has shown in his books, after WW2 the almost “broke” UK had the choice to maintain a global empire (or post-imperial presence), to create a Welfare State, or to revitalize the economy. It tried to do all three at once, when only one or at most two were possible. The result was only partial success in all three main areas.
People who look back at the post-WW2 era and say, in effect, “look what they did despite Britain being broke“, neglect to notice the terrible socio-economic conditions of the mid/late 1940s and even early 1950s. Rationing continued after WW2 (a fact unknown to many, especially the “young”), only disappearing in the mid-1950s. It was severe. At present, interest rates are very low. Money can be borrowed by the UK government at very low, almost zero, rates. That can ground an investment strategy in the economy, education, infrastructure— and should do. Throwing away money on “lockdowns” etc is quite different, however.

Foreign aid is a rotten borough, just as quite a lot of the charity sector is a rotten borough. As many have said, the beneficiaries of foreign aid, often, are those who work in the sector (especially the “senior” bods), corrupt officials and politicians in the receiving country, and large Western companies, law firms etc. I saw some of that myself in respect of the former Soviet Union in the 1990s.
Charities are similar. Look at organizations such as Oxfam and Save the Children. I think that the latter was where Brendan Cox, the sex pest husband of assassinated MP Jo Cox was second in command, and had a salary of something like £200,000 a year. Someone with virtually no credible academic or other background. I seem to recall that the CEO was paid even more, around £400,000 a year. Is this what people in the UK, often poor, give their pennies for? I think not. Also, much UK government money is funnelled through such bloated organizations.
Just last week, I saw that the head of Barnardo’s, a non-white now, has launched a basically anti-British crusade against “racism” etc, using Barnardo’s funds. People do not give their pennies or leave legacy monies so that it can be wasted on trash of that sort.

I often saw bags of flour on sale in the market, which bags and sacks were marked with the English words “A gift from the Danish people“! I do not imagine that Siwa received such food as aid; it is a rather prosperous place by Egyptian standards. The sacks may have come from beyond the Sahara, from Chad or elsewhere.

I start from the premise that the lockdown/shutdown was unnecessary, as is the facemask nonsense etc. It has done tremendous damage to the UK. Not “the virus”, but Government measures in reaction.
Having said that, “we are where we are”, in the irritating and smug phrase so beloved of “our” politicians.
Huge monies have been spent and largely wasted this year. The only saving grace is that, interest rates being very low internationally, the UK can borrow at almost no cost. That should be done to a even greater extent than at present, while the chance is there.
The devil, though, is in the detail. The monies borrowed must be used as investment for the future: well thought-out infrastructure spending, meaning railways and roads (but not without thought), as well as proper urban planning, and upgrading of the population, including radical reform of the entire educational structure.
I cannot see the point in immediate tax rises or spending cuts, both of which tend to have a depressive effect on economic resurgence.
The first thing to do, though, is to end the “lockdown” nonsense, the “tiers” of shutdown nonsense, the facemask nonsense etc. Without opening up the country again, any other measures to stimulate the economy will be a complete waste of time and effort.
A Government of clowns headed by a part-Jew public entertainer whose jokes are now falling flat. What could go wrong?
Do I blame “Boris”? Yes, but not entirely. I also blame the MPs (both fake “Conservative” Party and equally-fake “Labour” Party). Finally, I also blame the great but often sadly moronic British public, who have preferred, for decades, to worry about the latest news re. football, rugby, cricket, or whatever may be happening in Emmerdale or “Coronation Strasse”, rather than anything to do with the future of the UK, of Europe, of our race and culture etc.
Unless the Government can publish very clear criteria for why the Tier 3 areas have been placed into that top tier I think this is going to become a political disaster for Boris.

He must now go further, and use his remaining time as President to extend Presidential pardon to all those social-national people doing hard time in Federal prison. For many, doing life sentences or long fixed terms, a pardon may be their only hope.
