Happy day…won nearly £300 on the Lotto. It has been a year or more since I last won anything decent (I think about £500, but that was on a scratchcard).
My website
People may have noticed that my former website, ianrmillard.com, is now inactive. I gave up that website because I was entirely dissatisfied with the hosting company (ipage), and would never recommend ipage to anyone. The customer service is difficult if not impossible to use if you are outside the USA. There are better companies, I believe.
A new website will be put in place under a new name, and in due course.
They used to count votes in the UK manually in bundles of 50 per party. Leftist count staff stole BNP votes by putting one of their ballots on top of 49 of ours, 'by mistake'. In #Election2020 the same theft is done with software 'glitches'#stopthestealhttps://t.co/MjGeCDLbSM
All part of the “Great Reset”. National or traditional days, whether Remembrance Day, Christmas or whatever have to be sidelined or cancelled. The international conspiracy wants these days, and the social and national feelings that accompany them, to become nullities. That will help their creation of a globalized society and population.
In fact, as far as the UK is concerned, the imported blacks and browns (etc) have only a shadow idea of those traditional days anyway. You see few if any blacks and browns involving themselves in, say, Remembrance Day, or The Last Night of the Proms. Christmas…well, some blacks adhere to various churches, so there is that linkage, and they and others (even many Jews) do adhere to the ordinary commercialized aspects, such as buying presents.
In the TV ads now current, you see several of these propaganda strands, sometimes at once. The white (often blonde) woman with the black or brown man and “their” mixed-race children, Christmas tree standing (pointlessly) in the background, Christmas-type lighting etc.
Overall, there is the push to eliminate those special days, to tear the people away into a culturally and spiritually homeless, raceless future. This is the “Power of Evil”, scarcely disguised.

A couple of things come to mind: first, he commends the architect, Gaudi, whose contrived works upset me or at least offend me as much as most of the Brutalist architecture Hitchens attacks. Secondly, Hitchens (in my view, correctly) says that the world would have been better had the First World War never happened. How much better yet would it have been had the Second World War never happened!

Amazing. We hear even now about “freedom”, and how we should value our “democracy” etc, yet a useless little shit like Hancock can lay down measures many a dictator would hesitate to mandate…
The egregious Farage is a political con-man, who stabbed his own most loyal supporters and election candidates in the back, as well as —openly— stealing their money! He is completely in the pocket of the NWO/ZOG cabal(s), which is why he has always had so much airtime on radio and TV). Controlled opposition.
Having said the above, Dan Hodges is right, in that Farage may yet be able to raise a “party” of sorts. However, no-one should forget that Farage had the chance with Brexit Party to get at least a few MPs and start the ascent to real power. He preferred to stab his own followers in the back, and so give Boris-idiot and his pack of Jews and Indians a Commons majority of 80 votes. Why did Farage do that? “You Know Who”…”them” (((them))).
Farage’s actions during the 2019 General Election destroyed Corbyn-Labour, which was the greatest aim of the UK Jewish/Zionist lobby.
True, Corbyn-Labour would still have lost that election, but not so badly. The misnamed “Conservative” Party would probably have ended up with either no majority or a small majority, had the Brexit Party candidates all stood. There are many constituencies in which the “Conservatives” won by a thousand or two thousand votes, votes which would otherwise have gone to Brexit Party.
What Dan Hodge’s article correctly points out is that there is a vacuum in British (especially English) politics. A rubbish Government and a rubbish Opposition which is no opposition at all. The gap should be filled by a credible social-national party, though, not by con-man Farage’s “controlled opposition”.

Not really such a surprise. I mean, just look at the Government! What a bunch of total clowns! Also, now that the Jewish-dominated Press and TV have given up the previous daily attacks on Labour (when Corbyn was its leader), the malleable public is faced again with a binary choice in a totally fixed/rigged system…

Ha ha! The notorious Zionist tweeting above, and his collaborators, mainly Jews connected with the fake “charity” called the “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”], are angry because the General Pharmaceutical Council, while finding pharmacist Nazim Ali at fault for making a few remarks about Jews, only “warned” him. The fanatical Zionist Jews were hoping to deprive Nazim Ali of his profession, chemist shop, and home. Nice “people”…
Now the same pack are going to complain (to the dictatorial —and infested— Equalities and Human Rights Commission) about the General Pharmaceutical Council itself, for not ruining Nazim Ali!

Britain’s new and proliferating toytown police state
“An actor was stopped in the street by a police officer because she was wearing a strongly worded t-shirt.”
Leaving aside the absurd contemporary affectation by which all actresses are supposed to be referred to as “actors” (and leaving aside the woman’s obviously ridiculous and anti-white views), this is yet another example of the British police acting as a poundland KGB.
So go, if you do not want to stay part of the UK! I am not stopping you. Just remember that, from now on (after Independence), Scotland pays for everything it wants or needs without English help. State spending per head is presently higher in Scotland than it is in England.
I hope that all those Scots pro-Independence voters realize that they will be far poorer after such “Independence”. They will, of course, only be “independent” from the UK, not from the international banking set-up, the transnational companies, the UN, NATO and, perhaps most directly, the EU.
Still, that poll gives me the opportunity to repost the “SNP dim tweet of the day” (which I do not, in fact, post every day). Today, two for the price of one:
Aye maybe there is something else going on that WM don’t want us to know
The social security or “welfare” system is supposed to provide basic subsistence for those without sufficient income. It is not supposed to be a State-run insurance scheme (even though parts of it started like that).
The main problem with public acceptance is that people see migrant-invaders straight off the boat (often a rubber boat landed on a Kent pebble beach) getting more help than the British people do, despite the latter having paid in all their lives.
Not everyone can pay in, but the monies going to invaders who should not even be here are a, maybe the, major problem.
Basic Income must come, but should be available only to British people (and I do mean real British people).
Looking at the latest Labour nonsense (see above), one can see that Labour is going back to a kind of Blairism without Blair, or Gordon Brown-ism without Brown. You have Keir Starmer, with Jewish wife (a lawyer) and whose children are being brought up as Jewish. You have these rather tired or outdated anti-“welfare” statements being made (this is 2020, not 2010). Above all, you have Boris-idiot, not much respected by the public, but sitting there, and sitting on his 80-seat majority which nothing is going to dislodge for at least 2 years.
I had not previously heard of that MP, Jonathan Reynolds.
One or two good points noted, such as support for Basic Income and proportional representation. A few bad marks too, such as the fact that he is a vice-Chair of Labour Friends of Israel. That is very bad.
Reynolds is also one of the many “never had a real job” MPs, really, though he did some (unspecified and probably very minor) work for the local council as well as 4 years’ work for his mentor, the Blairite MP and now BBC bigwig, James Purnell https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Purnell , a horrible little bastard and one-time Chair of Labour Friends of Israel (also a noted expenses cheat).
Reynolds became a solicitor before being elected as MP, but has never practised.

Yes, @Richard93111191 but how long is this sustainable, as government-induced panic scares passengers away from the trains now running empty on colossal, unaffordable subsidies with no fare income? Once again, only an admission that the whole thing was a mistake will cure it. https://t.co/VtWGSpWbKp
I'm much of your opinion. I am not surprised to hear that the wearing of muzzles is popular. There could be no better symbol of our decline as a people. Perhaps at the Last Night of the Proms a muzzled crowd can bang spoons on pans instead of singing obsolete patriotic songs. https://t.co/3UEXDodRnr
The Last Night of the Proms is of course anachronistic, in that only about three-quarters or so of the inhabitants of the UK are even white/European now! (officially about 85%, but is that a statistic or a mere “damn lie”?).
There are two ways, beyond face value, of looking at the Last Night of the Proms: either it is a reactionary insult to “BAME people” and should be banned, or it is a way of pretending to the remaining British population that Britain is a real country with real patriotic people, when it in fact no longer is…
Yes, the only 'criticism' permitted is one that says the government did not follow its mad policy efficiently or quickly enough. As in the USSR, where tame media could rail against failures to fulfil fictional 5-year plans . https://t.co/ShUAH9mqLI
In 2004 I wrote : ' …the rise and rise of officers such as Brian Paddick and Cressida Dick, politically correct and right-on, is not accidental. After the purge of the police following the Macpherson Report, this is the future of law enforcement in this country. ' https://t.co/9gFYW9V8IE
As Hitchens perhaps implies here, there is only incidentally law enforcement now in Britain. What has taken its place is a kind of politically correct, politically approved enforcement of multikulti society norms, using the law as a ploy, by a police “service” which is on the one hand brainwashed and on the other hand a poundland KGB.
Funny the way pro-Virus Panic media *didn't* notice Norway's Public Health Chief Camilla Stoltenberg saying Norway could have brought the coronavirus pandemic under control without a lockdown: https://t.co/FAHOVt3GYL
Two more studies – one by the main body of Britain's GPs – conclude that lockdown was pointless.#BorisJohnson regime & Keir Starmer oppo alike have been criminally negligent.
There must eventually come a parting of the ways. The bulk of the world’s population, even the majority of the white European-origined population, cannot travel into the future in their present form(s).
BBC Radio 4 Today Programme drone pushing the “lockdown saves lives” rubbish, when in fact, taken overall, far more will die because of “lockdown”. They will die of everything except Coronavirus.
Looks as if the UK government (ZOG regime) is intent on keeping the “Coronavirus crisis” going as long as possible. In fact, the regime may well be quite content that, in care homes and private homes, the very elderly and unwell are dying “quietly”, out of the public eye. It solves for the regime the care crisis that it itself has created via spending cuts since 2010.
Conspiracy theory? I think not (ask Dominic Cummings and his “weirdos and misfits”).

Perhaps either I, or the commentator, more likely, need to understand better the situation, the virus, the testing procedure or the language used.
Looks like I was right to blog about Therese Coffey as a “deadhead MP”!
— Mirror Breaking News (@MirrorBreaking_) April 14, 2020
Either Sky News or the useless “Office of Budget Responsibility” is looking for pie in the sky (Sky?). The near-collapse of the UK economy is already happening in reality, and the Government is now unlikely to finish this nonsense of “lockdown” any time soon, mainly because the Cabinet is now, in the absence of the part-Jew public entertainer Boris-idiot, posing as Prime Minister, akin to a headless chicken.
As for a swift “bouncing back”, where does that idea originate? In the Conservative Party propaganda department? Half of the world is still not functioning economically. By Autumn, the Coronavirus crisis/scare/whatever will be over, presumably, but in Europe (still our main trading area, despite Brexit) demand will be at rock-bottom. The same will be true of the USA/North America, our second most important area.
Domestic demand will be very weak too, in a situation where millions will be unemployed and where the “self-employed” (5 million people) will often be making little money. Pay generally is likely to be low. So from where does the “bounce-back” come?
Perhaps what is meant is that there will be a huge fall in activity, but then followed by an increase on that low figure.
NEW OBR will publish noon today illustrative scenarios on pandemic hit to UK GDP/deficit… we reported last week internally Gov looking at bigger end of Q2 hit ranging from independent forecasts of -7.5% to -24% GDP -average -14% -no precedent since 1921 https://t.co/ClDw86Z444

A kind word about me on Twitter. Rare, now that Twitter has been ethnically and politically “cleansed” by the Jew-Zionist element and its malicious and concerted campaign of “complaints” and “reports”…
(the tweeters below are discussing the self-publicizing solicitor, now an Israeli citizen, and who calls himself “Mark Lewis Lawyer”)
Oh yes, especially after the disciplinary action against him, well detailed in Ian Millard's blog. I am probably not of the correct ethnic category to expect his help.
Incidentally, I still see people tweeting the 2016 report about me in the Independent. The report was one-sided but at least partly-accurate. I disliked as much, or more, the accompanying headless photograph, presented as if me, but which was of some other barrister.
I do not smoke, have never been a cigarette smoker, and had far better shoes than the barrister in that Independent photo! The Independent also seemed ignorant of the fact that “to practise law” is written thus, and not “to practice law”, which is only the correct usage in the USA. A small but telling point, symptomatic of the crashing standards in the terminally-sick UK Press (Lugenpresse; Judenpresse…).
My blog
I had a pleasing spike in blog hits yesterday: 435 views from 286 individual visitors. Far above the usual range.
The madness gets madder (something I keep thinking impossible, and then am proven wrong…)
I do not blame “Bootstrap Cook”, aka Jack Monroe, for using the unpleasant “Mark Lewis Lawyer” in her libel case against the commentator, Katie Hopkins, and it worked out for the Bootstrap Cook, though as a one-time practising barrister I can say with absolute certainty that a precocious child could have won that case against Katie Hopkins, who was evidently either badly-advised or not advised (I do not know whether she was “her own lawyer”, which is usually a mistake).
I have to say that, of the few of her recipes seen by me via her Twitter profile, I have not been enthusiastic about many, but I admit that I have never actually made (or tasted) any of them (they may well be pleasant in actuality). However, I think that this person is performing a public service.
We see in Britain how many people are living on peanuts (sometimes literally), the result of Britain’s economic and social decline combined with —mostly— Conservative Party government policies which have made tough times worse for so many, while the wealthy and very wealthy have thrived in the past 10-20 years especially. Anything that helps people both to survive, and survive without unnecessary pain, must be good.
Many people in the UK cook little, and eat far too many takeways etc, which may be not only unhealthy if taken in excess, but relatively expensive if indulged in frequently. That becomes even more true for those on very low incomes. Often one sees TV reports about people living on pennies getting Chinese takeaways, Indian curry, or fish and chips, and spending their little money on that. Fish and chips ?£5-£10 per head, an Indian or Chinese even more; the Indian place, in a nearby town, and that I use occasionally for takeaway (it’s also a restaurant), is very good but works out at about £15 a head.
I do not forget that sometimes people living in a poor way need something that just briefly seems to make life worth living, even if it is not the most healthy option. George Orwell wrote about that in one of his essays.
I am not merely opining de haut en bas here. I have been down there a few times… especially in — and for several months— 1998, when I had to learn to live in London on plain rice, one piece of fruit per day, bits and pieces (I even ate fruit abandoned by traders at street markets and left in empty boxes by the stalls!).
I had to be “creative” with the Underground (I expect that their technology would defeat me these days) and otherwise had to walk everywhere, trudging morosely past places formerly frequented as a customer, such as Julie’s restaurant in Holland Park, Raoul’s cafe in Little Venice (where I had formerly breakfasted daily in the early/mid 1990s) and other places barred to me by lack of cash such as the once-lovely River Room at the Savoy Hotel (I believe much changed since those days), where I always ate and drank the same thing: “Atlantic Platter” of fish and shellfish, washed down by pretty much the best Chablis I ever had.
[above: The River Room at the Savoy. Actually not looking completely different to how it was c.1994, if memory serves, but the tables are ugly square things now; they used to have beautiful big round tables, even for two people; also, there is a less opulent look somehow, the tables now without full heavy white tablecloths]
Silver lining: I lost rather a lot of weight on my enforced diet with enforced exercise; in fact everyone told me how well I was looking!
“Shocking footage shows a man brandishing a stick after being confronted by a furious local after he ignored the coronavirus lockdown to go camping in Wales. The video was posted on social media after the camper was confronted by a group of locals who asked him to leave the site at Llyn Cowlyd near Trefriw on Saturday.”
“The daughter of the 60-year-old in the footage told North Wales Live : “My dad was with the owner of the land and all they did was ask them to leave and said that the police were on their way.”
“Then the man threatened to hit my dad in the head with the stick. She added: “When the police arrived, the campers said they were from Hull. The officers were mortified.”
“”They were fined and they traced the number plate to make sure they returned home.”
Her dad added: “It was unbelievable that they travelled all the way from Hull to the top of a mountain to camp when the whole country is on lockdown and the government clearly has instructed everyone to stay home unless necessary.” [Daily Mirror]
Well, for me the lunacy is on the part of those locals. What possible harm in terms of spreading the virus can two people do, camping on a remote mountain? It seems that they left a mess. Well, fine them for that.
It just shows how quickly the masses have internalized the “we are slaves of the State and will do what the government says (even if very silly)” propaganda, given strength by the virus-“fear” aspect…Actually, what is borderline frightening is how easily supposedly rational individuals (as a mass) can be manipulated and controlled.
As for the locals, the story put me in mind, perhaps unfairly, of this:
The shutdown of the economy
Was just looking at the latest companies to actually go into administration. They are unlikely ever to return to active trading. Oasis, Warehouse and Debenhams. About 25,000 employees, currently on furlough, have nowhere to go when the stupid “lockdown” finishes. Their furlough money ends in June.

My feelings about China are torn: I hate the way the Chinese as a group abuse the natural world and especially the animals. In some ways they are very backward as a people. Also, the sheer numbers are an existential danger not only to Europe but to the whole planet. On the other hand, who could fail to be impressed by a display such as this?
I notice that Twitter catches up with me. Today, #WhenCoronavirusIsOver is “trending” in the Twitterati’s echo-chamber. I have been thinking for several days, and in fact longer, about blogging on that very topic.
The public health emergency itself
We all know that, certainly as a public health emergency, Coronavirus or “COVID-19” will end. When, we do not know. At first, the “experts” thought as late as next year, then it was “later in 2020”, now they seem to be saying sometime in the Summer. I myself do not know —just like the “experts”— but I am suspecting that this will not last beyond June at latest. Why?
First of all, we have seen the experience of Wuhan itself, where cases seem to have been around 3% of the population (3% of 11 million = about 330,000) but confirmed cases were only about 81,000 (which may seem enormous, but Wuhan is a city with more people than London, 19 million in the metro area around, compared to about 15 million in and around London, and has several times the population of the Paris area). Of the fewer than 82,000 confirmed cases in Wuhan, 3,300 have died. The outbreak has now either been contained or simply ceased (played itself out). The authorities are now easing the “lockdown” restrictions.
That link, above, is worth perusing. It shows that, in Europe, the UK is actually far down the list of countries with Coronavirus (per million population). We see that some countries have had far more cases, adjusted by population, than the UK, but a lower death toll. Why? They have better healthcare.
Germany has had three times the number of Coronavirus cases as has had the UK, but only a third of the deaths. Why? Better healthcare.
The NHS is a very fine thing in principle, but in practice it is lagging behind many countries in terms of outcomes. It is a kind of religion in the UK, a sacred cow. It has also been both maladministered and starved of funds for many years.
In Germany, the healthcare system just dealt with the Coronavirus situation. Its political leaders did not overdose on the “we can do it” rhetoric, there was none of the fake “wartime spirit” that we have seen in the UK, with its “recruit a million volunteers” and “mass clap-in for the NHS” (which the Twitterati loved…oh, didn’t they love it! Virtue-signalling central…).
There is panic around. Example: special flights are today taking British tourists from Peru (which has virtually no Coronavirus) to the UK (which has). I am sure that the tourists are grateful. Or misinformed.
“Cokehead” Gove, the expenses-cheating little doormat for Israel, has now announced that the UK will possibly “have to have” even more strict “lockdown” measures. How will we even get food? This is madness.
The predictions for deaths in the UK were 250,000, even 800,000! Now one study says 5,700; another says about 20,000. Still bad, but nowhere near the apocalyptic numbers previously mooted. Already we see the alarming death toll stabilizing. The last day (28 March) was not quite so bad as that of the day before.
It is difficult to argue, as have such as the scribbler Peter Hitchens, that the very severe measures, “advised” and then mandated by the Boris-idiot government, were wrong or too strict. Having said that, that may indeed have been the case.
“The simplest way to judge whether we have an exceptionally lethal disease is to look at the death rates. Are more people dying than we would expect to die anyway in a given week or month? Statistically, we would expect about 51,000 to die in Britain this month. At the time of writing, 422 deaths are linked to Covid-19 — so 0.8 per cent of that expected total. On a global basis, we’d expect 14 million to die over the first three months of the year. The world’s 18,944 coronavirus deaths represent 0.14 per cent of that total. These figures might shoot up but they are, right now, lower than other infectious diseases that we live with (such as flu). Not figures that would, in and of themselves, cause drastic global reactions.“
“We may very well be comparing apples with oranges. Recording cases where there was a positive test for the virus is a very different thing to recording the virus as the main cause of death.“
“Early evidence from Iceland, a country with a very strong organisation for wide testing within the population, suggests that as many as 50 per cent of infections are almost completely asymptomatic. Most of the rest are relatively minor. In fact, Iceland’s figures, 648 cases and two attributed deaths, give a death rate of 0.3 per cent. As population testing becomes more widespread elsewhere in the world, we will find a greater and greater proportion of cases where infections have already occurred and caused only mild effects. In fact, as time goes on, this will become generally truer too, because most infections tend to decrease in virulence as an epidemic progresses.“
[Dr. John Lee, NHS consultant pathologist, in The Spectator]
He makes another very important point:
“The moral debate is not lives vs money. It is lives vs lives. It will take months, perhaps years, if ever, before we can assess the wider implications of what we are doing. The damage to children’s education, the excess suicides, the increase in mental health problems, the taking away of resources from other health problems that we were dealing with effectively. Those who need medical help now but won’t seek it, or might not be offered it.”
I dare say that the above, despite having been written by a NHS consultant pathologist, and indeed professor of pathology, will not be welcome to many engaged in groupthink on Twitter, in government, in the organs of the State such as the police, and NHS. Dissent from the “accepted” view is treated as a kind of social treason at present.
Simply washing hands is probably 90% of the answer. As for “social distancing”, “social isolation” etc, they help but are secondary or tertiary.
There has been a study from Oxford University suggesting that a high proportion, maybe 50% of the UK population, has been, since the beginning of 2020, infected with Coronavirus. Most people either show no symptoms or relatively mild symptoms. We have seen this at the heart of government. A number of MPs and ministers have been confirmed cases. So far not one has been seriously unwell, despite their ages (in their 40s, 50s, 60s).
The virus cannot live for long on a human being. A few weeks at maximum. After that, the carrier, if infected, is either
asymptomatic and clear;
diagnosed and then recovered and clear; or
(a tiny minority, probably a small fraction of 1%) dead.
The virus likewise does not live long on surfaces. Hours, a few days (or even weeks, but only in exceptional cases).
Incidentally, the first confirmed case of Coronavirus in China was on 10 January 2020, the first in Italy 29 January, and the first in the UK 30 January. Fewer than three weeks after China. China is now easing restrictions, but the UK government is talking about keeping them until as long as September! Even tightening them (how?)…
We are now right at the end of March 2020. “April is the cruellest month”, as T.S. Eliot wrote. It will probably see the peak of the Coronavirus epidemic in the UK, if that has not already been reached. By May, the situation will probably look very different, and by June, very different again. I shall be surprised if we are not “back to normal” by July at the latest. But what is “normal”, now?
After Coronavirus
I suppose that the Government and the whole System will say that Coronavirus ruined the economy. In fact, it was “tanking” already. The retail sector in particular. Now, we have seen huge numbers of lay-offs, some partly subsidized by the new government “furlough” plan. Already there have been half a million registrations-as-unemployed and there will be millions more.
Vast numbers of small businesses have been hit, and many will close down, never to re-appear. I don’t mean the fake “businesses” that consist of one person doing the job of an employee but not, technically, being employed. I mean real very small businesses, which may employ only the principal, and maybe a handful of others. Small, but multiply those few people by a million and you see the problem.
The UK Government cannot pay a significant proportion of the population fairly substantial amounts indefinitely unless there is an economy still functioning. At present, the only parts of the enterprise economy still functioning are the retail banks, the supermarkets, the smaller food shops, the medical-pharmaceutical sector, some construction and engineering projects, some agriculture and horticulture.
The pound will eventually fall through the floor in a situation where other economies are or will resume functioning while the UK economy is still prevented by its own government from functioning. That will make imported goods very expensive. Britain imports most of its food.
We could be looking here at Britain’s final eclipse as a major economy.
House prices
British people are famously obsessed with the supposed value of their houses. A house where I spent many years on and off in Little Venice, London, was bought at a valuation of £100,000 in or about 1980. The lady owner sold it in 2005 for £1.4M, I believe. Its valuation in 2018 was around £3.5M and may even be £4M now. A 35x or even 40x increase in value in 40 years! Pay in the UK has increased (face value) by only about 2x or 4x in that period.
Even in the past two decades, and even outside London, property has leapt in value. I recall seeing little bungalows for sale in Seaton, Devon in 1998, while idly walking around. One was only £23,000! Others were £25,000 and £28,000. I should imagine that even those little places would be priced at something like £200,000. In fact, I have just now looked on a property website: cheapest similar house— £195,000. A nearly tenfold increase in 22 years.
The UK property market is a house of cards ready to collapse. The buy to let sector will be first. People who do not have jobs cannot rent houses, usually, because the housing benefit does not cover the full cost (even if the owner is willing to rent to the jobless— most are not).
Once the buy to let sector has collapsed, the rest of the market will suffer a catastrophic (for property-owners) fall. A 50% fall is by no means impossible.
As to commercial property, even before Coronavirus the sector was tanking. Jews control much of it, so to that extent I rub my hands. With businesses collapsing, the economy on the floor, there will be little or no demand for offices and shops. The Internet is in any case killing the retail sector inasmuch as it is in the High Streets and even malls.
Pick-up in the economy
After Coronavirus, some businesses will pick up quickly: barbers, hairdressers, people who fix computers etc. Others may never emerge from the depths. One thing is for sure: money will be in short supply for most people.
Unemployment
Unemployment will be huge. The misconceived and cruel “welfare” (social security) “reforms” started by the Labour Party (particularly the “Blairites” Alistair Darling and James Purnell) from about 2007 and made inestimably more harsh under the part-Japanese sadist Iain Dunce Duncan Smith have ruined the DWP both attitudinally and in terms of efficiency. The recent huge upsurge in demand has found the DWP (under deadhead minister Therese Coffey) unable to cope.
Politics
I predict that, in 2021-2022, and as the economy tanks, the pound collapses, house prices fall and unemployment surges, there will be a demand from the whole people for radical change. The tired “Conservative” Party cannot offer that, still less can the —all but irrelevant— Labour Party. This will be the moment for social nationalism to strike!
“You see, my son, here time turns into space!”
Update, 24 December 2020
Most of what I predicted in the above article has come to pass.
Superficially, I was wrong in saying that both “the virus” and the various measures supposedly to reduce its occurrence would finish long before the end of 2020. Well, here we are, and, on paper, the virus is still here. However, flu has all but disappeared as a cause of death, replaced by “Coronavirus” or “Covid-19”.
Vast numbers are being tested and so, ipso facto, numbers “infected” are also high, but few require any treatment. As I predicted, deaths peaked in April. I myself still know no-one who knows anyone who has or has had the virus.
The overall death toll in numbers in the UK is below that of some recent years. “The virus” is a serious public health situation but scarcely the Black Death. About 1 out of every 1,400 living in the UK has died from or with “the virus” (in the world generally, 1 in 8,000).
Meanwhile, the absurd over-reaction of “the authorities” has trashed civil rights, ruined much of the economy, and made life near-intolerable. Unnecessarily.
An Expert writes : Yet more intelligent, informed scepticism about the coronavirus panicdemic, for the panic-merchants to find a way to ignore: How deadly is the coronavirus? It's still far from clear https://t.co/tDMjmWlIBv via @spectator
When I saw that initial Peter Hitchens article, I was sceptical, thinking that strict temporary measures were probably necessary to deal with the Coronavirus crisis. Now I have modified my view about both what is happening (while still recognizing the very serious nature of the virus situation) and especially about the repressive laws and overarching “enabling” legislation.
I predicted this https://t.co/b20e0vlba5 on Monday. Some people made a joke about it because they thought I wasn't being serious. Well, I was. This is what life is like when the state is above your head.
The Daily Mail report below shows how the police are starting, once again (as with social media “crimes”), to get above themselves, zealously going well beyond the law and their own granted powers to hunt down people whom they decide should be lectured, spied upon or questioned. They also leave behind ordinary commonsense.
Police officers spying on lone dog-walkers in the remote and deserted parts of the Peak District and other national parks; senior police acting as poundland generals, setting up roadblocks, getting their robots to question motorists about where they are going and “is your journey really necessary?” And so on.
In Derbyshire, police are using drones to spy on solitary dog walkers in the Peak District National Park, people walking miles from anyone else! The very same force that, in the Alison Chabloz case, revealed itself to be a comic opera Keystone Cops outfit and poundland KGB. Incidentally, Derbyshire Police has long had one of the worst records in dealing with actual, real crime; you know, real crime, such as burglary, assault, GBH etc, not “someone said something about Jews on social media”, not “someone walked a dog in a remote part of the Peak District but we got her using our poundland KGB drone”.
Common-sense is lacking. A couple in a car or a man on a motorbike are not going to infect anyone, neither are they going to be infected, not while driving and riding. Of course, the same applies to a girl on a motorcycle…
Always ride safely, of course…
Cede your liberty to the state, @madz_grant and it takes everything, even the freedom to walk alone on the high hills. https://t.co/f9gmeCguQp
There are, as Hitchens and Delingpole say, a huge number of people who cannot wait to see the British people subjected to strict controls at all times. They also cannot wait to see people punished. Many of these “useful idiots” are those who identify with some kind of multikulti pseudo-socialism and spend most of their lives virtue-signalling on Twitter.
Why shouldn’t someone drive from a town to a deserted part of the country and walk a dog or just walk, with or without someone from the same dwelling? The danger of infection (from or to) is much greater in an urban or suburban setting where more people are likely to be encountered.
There are a few brave voices being raised in defence of reasonable freedoms. I do not much like what I have seen on TV and in print of James Delingpole, but this is a courageous and surely correct article:
So Gordon Brown, formerly a major UK political face of the international finance-capitalist conspiracy (or, if you prefer, “consensus”), has come out of hiding to call openly for a one-world dictatorship…It took him a while, but he has now done it.
Give that man a cee-gar!
As soon as the soap opera of Harry and the Royal Mulatta began to unravel, I predicted that they would end up living somewhere like Bel Air or Beverly Hills, with Harry as that stock comic character of American TV, a kind of house-husband, run ragged by his petulant “younger wife” (in fact she is 4 years older than Harry). Royal Married with Children… Well, that has now come to pass: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2020/03/27/prince-harry-meghan-move-california/
Statistical anomaly
It seems that Jews in the UK have been hard hit by Coronavirus and that 5% of all deaths in the UK have occurred within the Jewish element. I am not a statistician, of course, but this seems to me very high, bearing in mind that Jews are supposedly only about 0.3% of the entire UK-resident population. That means that Jews are not only being hit harder (as far as actual deaths are concerned) than non-Jews, but nearly 20 times as much.
I suppose that one has to take into account the fact that London, which is now such a dustbin of peoples, is the epicentre or “hotspot” for Coronavirus in the UK. I read that North West London, the most Jewish part of London, is the hotspot within the hotspot. In fact, the borough of Barnet is said to be the most infected of all.
That in itself does not quite explain why. Is it because Jews travel on business more than most non-Jews (e.g. English people)? I have no idea. Not every Jew is a diamond dealer or finance industry operative, flitting from London to Antwerp to Zurich and on to Moscow or Kiev.
Unemployment: the DWP system cannot cope
Half a million people have just registered as unemployed in the UK, in one week! The DWP system was unable to cope before Coronavirus “lockdown”. Now? Look at what that idiotic creature, Therese Coffey, is saying!
DWP Boss Issues Hostile Coronavirus Statement
Thérèse Coffey warns welfare claimants they face a sanction if they aren't prompt in informing the DWP of isolation.

In fact, that tweeter is wrong. The global death total at time of writing is about 24,000, not 2,800. The principle remains, though.
Self-awareness takes a back seat…
All those tweeting delight that @BorisJohnson has #Coronavirus are not just very unpleasant but stupid as that signifies that many others will be infected regardless of political affiliation.
The thing is @rmayemsinger that Trump’s over confidence/arrogance make him susceptible to #Covid19. If infected at his age his survival chances are very low. No doubt he will call it a “Fake Virus” and a “nasty” infection but that is not a cure.
“The director of the human rights organisation Liberty has called the government’s new Coronavirus Act the biggest attack on British people’s freedoms in a generation.” [The Guardian]
“Among various measures, the act, which passed on Wednesday, gives police powers to detain people and forcibly test people they suspect may be infectious, removes protections for those detained under the mental health act, and weakens judicial oversight of surveillance.”
“Already on Thursday, the Guardian reported how police in North Yorkshire were proposing to set up road blocks to restrict people’s movements, while Derbyshire police used a drone to shame people who had driven to remote parts of the peak district during the lockdown.”
“In a statement marking the passage of the new law, Martha Spurrier, director of Liberty, said:
This new law is without doubt the biggest restriction on our individual and collective freedoms in a generation. What people may not realise is the extent of its powers, and how long they can be in place for.
It gives the authorities new powers to detain any one of us that they believe could be infected with the coronavirus.
It also removes vital safeguards in care standards, leaving many people who are already at risk, such as disabled people, at further risk, not only of poor care but also of potentially inhumane treatment.
While change is necessary, and some of the measures outlined in this legislation are entirely sensible, others are overbearing and, if left unchecked, could create more problems than they solve.
The breadth of this legislation is also extraordinary. It runs to more than 300 pages and includes some spectacular restrictions, including powers to rearrange or cancel elections.
We’ll beat this virus, but these measures must be a last resort in that battle and these powers must be removed as soon as possible. We cannot and must not sacrifice all of our hard-won rights and freedoms.”
“The Met Police today fined a bakery boss £80 for criminal damage after she put temporary lines outside her shop to keep her customers safe from coronavirus….The officer told the flabbergasted woman that she had graffitied the pavement and if police failed to punish crimes like these there would be ‘anarchy’, adding: ‘I can’t help the law. We’re going to be ticketing soon to stop people congregating – is that wrong too?’.” [Daily Mail]
No wonder that the more elite police used to call their uniformed colleagues “wooden-tops”!
“It came as police forces across the country are facing accusations of overzealousness as they use sweeping new powers to crack down on people flouting the coronavirus lockdown, using road blocks, drones and helicopters to enforce it.” [Daily Mail]
“Critics say the unprecedented powers handed to officers by ministers will see the country ‘sliding into dystopia.'”
“As the row intensified today, Leading QC Matthew Ryder said there was an ‘overwhelming consensus from lawyers that police trying to restrict people to ’emergency travel only’ is unlawful.‘”
“Former MPs also claim police are ‘showing an astounding lack of judgement’ and needed to exercise ‘common sense and respect’ and use their powers elsewhere.“
“But chairman of the National Police Chiefs’ Council, Martin Hewitt, doubled down on the measures, telling the BBC: ‘This is a national emergency, not a national holiday.’“
[Daily Mail]
Well, there it is. Police go mad, but are backed by senior national police officers who plainly lack both real intelligence and common-sense. If the police were told by the “weirdos and misfits” now at the heart of “democratic” government to herd us all into some UK GULAG system, they would do it. No question.
The fact is that the police are in danger of becoming an irrelevance, not very good at preventing or dealing with ordinary crime (their main job), better at investigating the odd egregious murder or ultra-high-value robbery, but preferring to act as, indeed, a poundland KGB, censoring and interfering with such matters as social media posts (often completely lawful even under the present repressive legal regime), or “enforcing” (and in fact going well beyond) the rules now laid down by an illegitimate ZOG political regime headed by a clown.
In fact, read this:
“Appearing on BBC Breakfast today, Superintendent Steve Pont from Derbyshire Police hit back at allegations he was ‘shaming’ dog walkers, claiming people were ‘looking for excuses and loopholes as to why they don’t need to stay at home when everyone else does.’ Supt Pont said his force was, ‘here to apply the law the government makes.’ “
[Daily Mail, about BBC TV Breakfast]
There we have the problem in a nutshell. A relatively senior officer of the police says that people were “looking for excuses and loopholes as to why they don’t need to stay at home when everyone else does.“, when in fact people, even under the absurd new law, do not have to stay at home. They are entitled to take daily exercise alone or with co-habitees, they are not prohibited from driving to that place of permitted exercise, they are not prohibited from driving a car or motorbike there or, arguably, anywhere so long as they do not get out and socialize. They are also permitted to shop for food, drink, medicine etc and are not prohibited from driving to shop.
Superintendent Plod, I mean Pont, of Derbyshire Police, has just decided to remake the new law in his own mind as “everyone has to stay at home unless the police permit”. No. No. No.
These social measures, now nodded into law overnight by 650 “democratically elected” idiots, cannot work unless the public supports them and plays ball. The police, by their panic-stricken bullying, risk being ignored if they keep pushing like this. The police should remind themselves that, if everyone ignores them, they are all but powerless.
People —or at least 99% of people— are willing to take reasonable measures to self-isolate, only shop or exercize with care once daily, socially distance, not socialize etc, but the hectoring and basically silly attitude of the police risks alienation of that public.
What after Coronavirus?
Coronavirus will not last longer than (maybe) June in the UK. By that time, either people will have had it (and recovered, in most cases) or infection will not be happening (because the virus lasts for only 1-4 weeks in people: those infected either do not show symptoms, or suffer from them, or die, within a few weeks of being infected); the virus only lasts for hours, days or, exceptionally, weeks on surfaces. The crisis should therefore be over by early Summer. Its damage to our politics, economy (especially) and law will then become apparent.
I need to blog separately about this.
Evening foray
No evening (or daytime) expedition to shops today. In fact, I have been the ideal “UK Coronavirus” citizen, sleeping half the day away and spending most of the rest of the time on the Internet, connected to the wide world.
I noticed that there was a beautiful crescent Moon, completely on its side like a Grail symbol. A planet (Venus?) was very clear too. Must have something to do with the clearer air across the world.
Final thought
Coronavirus will be effectively over by June or July this year, i.e. 3-4 months. The new government powers last until 2022 and the first vote to dispense with them will be only in September 2020. Will the System find an excuse to renew the powers?
Aaron James Williamson, of Grimsby. Bit off part of his kitten’s ear in a number of separate attacks; punched the kitten on numerous occasions. Sentence? 12 weeks, which means 6 weeks actually in prison, at most. I usually oppose extra-judicial justice, aka “mob justice” or “lynch law”, but there are exceptions. The law should have sufficient weight to deal properly with such an offence. To my mind, the current law is inadequate (the max is a 6-month sentence, though a new law is currently before Parliament). Even so, why only 12 weeks? I should have thought that this crime (the evil little bastard pleaded to one speciment charge) at least merited 4 or 5 months, bearing in mind that the real term served would be only half anyway).
Amusing, though not very useful. In a sense though, all one can do is laugh, when there is little of a practical nature that the individual can do.
My supposition of a week ago, that the main hope for us in relation to this nuisance (that could become some sort of catastrophe) is that the weather warms and so (we are told) weakens the ability of the virus to live on surfaces etc, is now echoed by scientists and talking heads.
I myself went this morning, early, to my local Waitrose (the only supermarket within miles, except for a smallish Marks & Spencer food store). I intended to buy some real Manuka honey (which stimulates the human immune system). The best type is about £20 a jar, but it works. No luck. The entire stock had already been bought and the shelf was empty.
…I speculated about whether our present civilization might be ended by a virus pandemic, or by some other global threat. Coronavirus/Corvid-19 is not that virus, but the next one of the same sort may be. The present virus is 1,000x more infectious than was the SARS virus of several years ago, but less deadly. What if the next virus is 1,000x as infectious as the present one, and is also many times more dangerous to life?
As it is, we are almost thrown back on mediaeval remedies: avoidance of human contact, secure food and water supplies, “magic” honey, hope, prayer etc. There is at present no medicine, no vaccine available. Antibiotics are useless because they do not affect viruses. All that even the best hospitals can do, so far, is to relieve symptoms, and they will not be able to do that for long if the already-struggling NHS is swamped by huge new demand.

“‘Your money or your life!’: Joanna Lumley reveals terrifying moment armed bandits held her at gunpoint during filming of TV documentary in Haiti.” [Daily Mail]
“Joanna Lumley was threatened by armed bandits while filming a travel series in Haiti. They abushed [sic] the 73-year-old actress while she was driving through a mountain range with her camera crew. The gun-wielding gang told Miss Lumley and her team that they would kill them if they did not hand over their cash. But two of the Absolutely Fabulous star’s bodyguards stepped in and she escaped unscathed.” [Daily Mail]
“The incident is not shown in the programme.” Well, no…I mean, we could not have British TV viewers coming away with the impression that black people, without white rulers or administrators, cannot run a reasonably civilized society…
I suppose that the incident might have been omitted because there were no cameras rolling at the time, but I doubt it.

Was just watching the first episode of that excellent series, Reilly, Ace of Spies [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reilly,_Ace_of_Spies], now being reshown on Talking Pictures TV. What was and is so good about the series was that it keeps pretty closely to the known historical narrative. The only irritant is that, in the credits, the theme music, in fact the Romance from the suite The Gadfly, by Shostakovitch, is credited as having been “composed and directed by Harry Rabinowitz” (a South African Jew)! Disgraceful, though it may not have been Rabinowitz’s fault that he was wrongly credited as composer.
Coronavirus
Seems to be still spreading, expanding its range. Italy hard hit. I saw a graphic recently re. personal hygiene, washing hands etc in various countries of Europe. Italy was at or near the bottom of the scale. That may well be significant.
My Australian niece has just returned to London from Venice. She went there for the carnival, only to find most events cancelled. This is getting serious. We are told that 80% of people who get the virus have symptoms so mild that no medical help is required. However, that still leaves 20% who do require at least some help. About 2% of the whole are dying. If it became widespread in the UK and affected, say, a million people, that would mean that 20,000 would die and another 180,000 would require NHS help.
How would the already-overstretched NHS cope? Probably not at all well. The tabloid Press has behaved with its usual panic-stricken lack of caution, predicting half a million deaths in the UK:
The hope seems to be that this virus is more virulent in colder weather, meaning that, with the arrival of Spring and Summer across Europe and Asia, its effect overall may be blunted. Let us hope so.
Meanwhile, the Chinese (and China seems to be the source of all recent major infectious disease outbreaks except Ebola) are taking no chances!

You heard it first here. I was blogging about Boris-idiot’s inability to face, let alone handle, a crisis years ago! Before that idiot became PM, even before his disastrous tenure as Foreign Secretary. I tweeted about it until mid-2018 (when the Jews had me expelled from Twitter). I continue to blog about it. Now, finally, people are waking up, slowly. Here is the always-amusing and often correct “Artist Taxi Driver”:
Floods Coronavirus where has the part time PM been hiding? has he been quarantined? Self Isolating? 😱
I had not heard the rumour that Boris-idiot cannot appear in public because his allegedly pregnant “ho”, Carrie Symonds (who, despite surpassing ignorance, exercises considerable influence behind the scenes at No.10), has given Boris-idiot a black eye. If “Artist Taxi Driver” is correct, the alleged black eye was not bestowed on Boris-idiot for his shambolic joke-prime ministership but because the idiot posing as Prime Minister has been indulging in yet more fornication, and his “No.1 Ho” objects to that.
…and the tweet below by Asa Winstanley is also very relevant, but the “anti-racist” me-too idiots in Labour have made fools of themselves. They oppose Jew exploitation in Palestine/Israel, oppose Zionist propaganda and warmongering by Israel, but pay lip-service to the foundations of the Israeli state! I mean:
the “holocaust” narrative, much of which is a farrago of lies, hoaxes, fakery and propaganda, protected in much of Europe by mediaeval-style “heresy” laws criminalizing “denial” (free historical examination and debate);
unwillingness to criticize or even see the exploitation, by Jews, of non-Jews outside the Middle East.

Labour is as good as doomed except as a fake “opposition” (as it was in the recent past too), controlled by the Israel lobby or Jewish lobby, unable to address the issues facing most British people, pro-mass immigration etc.
The question arises, if (when) the “Conservative” government is exposed as useless, to what can the British people turn, when the only “alternative” is an arguably even more useless “Labour” Party?
A social-national movement must arise, but as yet does not even exist.

[I wrote this for my Diary Blog, but it deserves its own article]
New Year “Honours”
This has of course been a farce for a very long time. At least in the mediaeval period, there was no hypocrisy involved. You were a crony of the King, or helped him out in battle or otherwise, you got a title, and maybe the lands (and so, income) with which to support your new-found estate (status).
Later, absurdities such as the creation of the “baronet” class, the earliest example of the “sale of honours”, went alongside honours sometimes given for real achievement in the arts, sciences and commerce.
There were scandals along the way. The sale of honours under Lloyd George was egregious not in quality (it happened before, it still happens in 2019) but in quantity. Few “average citizens” realize that hardly any of the still extant hereditary titles predate 1900. And that is before we even consider the “life peers”, which rival the baronetage in risibility.
A woman starts a bra company. Turns out that it is a house of cards that eventually collapses, but not before Michelle Mone is “elevated” to the House of Lords as a “baroness”, having convinced idiotic David Cameron-Levita that she is a great “role-model”. A West Indian woman’s son is killed by some white ruffians in a scuffle at a South-East London bus stop. What?! Oh my God! Make her a “baroness” too! And bung her family a hundred grand at the same time.
The “House of Lords” was badly “reformed” by Blair; a poorly-thought-out reform, like so much of his legislation. It is time to get rid of it.
As to the new honours list: I have not read it in detail but, for one thing, is it not incredible that Iain Dunce Duncan Smith, a proven liar and fraudster, should be “knighted”? His record:
A part-Japanese, who attended a “secondary modern” State school near Birmingham and then went on to a substandard merchant navy school on Anglesey, later fraudulently inventing a university background (was found out, but sadly too late);
Poses as a kind of “upper class” Englishman by reason of having been a Scots Guards officer (never got beyond Lieutenant in 6 years, and was considered a deadhead even in Guards circles);
Married a wealthy wife but still, for a while, fraudulently claimed State benefits;
Has always sponged off his father-in-law, even —and to this day— living for free in a house on the latter’s estate in Swanbourne, Buckinghamshire;
Has wasted literally billions of State funds in trying to make his misconceived “welfare” “reforms” work, while subjecting the sick, disabled, unemployed etc to a regime characterized by an Oriental cruelty and vindictiveness;
Has, in effect, via his policies, killed tens of thousands of people;
Fraudulently claimed hundreds of thousands of pounds on his MP expenses for “employing” his wife; in fact she never did any work at all; Dunce was, however, never tried for what was a plain fraud on public monies;
Claimed that he could easily live on a few pounds a day if he had to; meanwhile, he claimed on his MP expenses for underwear and also for a £39 breakfast at the Waldorf in London (among a huge number of other doubtful claims);
Has shown himself incapable of properly holding high office;
Time and again proven to be a liar;
Conservative Friends of Israel member…
Dunce is the most obviously unmeritorious recipient of an honour this time, but what about the degenerate singer-songwriter, Elton John? I should like to have him removed from the airwaves and from sight. There again, a black woman has apparently been given a minor honour for baking cakes. Also, there is the now-usual plethora of sports people etc. Win a cricket match or rugby game on the other side of the world? Knighthood. Bloody joke.
At the other end, there are the people who get honours for years of “service” (work). OK, and many may be meritorious; many may not be. I was slightly acquainted once with a woman who, 20+ years later (2006 or 2007), got an honour (MBE, I think) “for fostering relations with Russia”. From what I heard on good authority, mainly carnal ones…
I think that this whole business needs a reboot, especially the higher honours, the “peerages”, “knighthoods” etc.
I was intending to write this examination of Esther McVey some months ago. Now here we are, almost in October, and the Conservative Party Conference is on. Looking at Twitter, I noticed some amusing things, one of which was the following tweet about thick-as-two-short-planks Esther, here seen both trying to orate and trying to seem as though her single brain cell is switched on:
Rather like those bumper stickers with their silly tasteless jokes, such as “Divers do it deeper”; or in this case, perhaps, “Conservatives do it on computers— in 3D!”
Perhaps rather too near the knuckle in view of the Conservative Party sex scandals of recent years:
[Stephen Crabb MP, fervent pro-Jew and pro-Israel puppet, so stupid that he got caught twice for very similar and very pathetic “sexting”; a prime candidate for a future “Deadhead MPs” article];
[buck-toothed Jew MP (now ex-MP) Brooks Newmark, another one who was caught more than once; I suppose that I shall be called “bigoted” for my view that sleazy American Jews should not even be MPs in this country…]
The bare bones are that Esther McVey has an LL.B. from one university, an MA from another, and a “corporate governance” M.Sc. from a third. I tend to think that people who have several degrees are either brilliant or are semi-idiots wanting to look good on paper, and usually the latter. I was once slightly acquainted with an African ex-High Commissioner who had degrees from Oxford, as well as either Yale or Harvard (I forget which) and the Sorbonne. A complete idiot…
Esther McVey is at time of writing a few days short of 52 years old. Her Wikipedia entry seems almost deliberately confused or misleading in part (which makes me wonder how much of it she edited personally).
Esther McVey seems to have graduated from the —at-the-time not very prestigious— Queen Mary College, East London in 1988 or 1989 (a decade or so later it became part of the University of London). Why she, from the Liverpool area, decided to study in an unfashionable part of London, I have no idea. It may be that she wanted to be in London and nowhere else offered her a place. Her degree was in law (level of degree awarded not known). She did not, however, continue either to the Bar or to the solicitors’ profession; neither did she seek or take any salaried appointment outside her family’s business (a demolition and site-clearance business in the Liverpool area). In fact, McVey was a director of the family business later, from 2000 to 2006, though her father has said that “she was there in name only”, which is a strange idea of the fiduciary and other duties of a company director. Perhaps she did not understand (that is rather a habit of hers). Still, there it is.
Though Esther McVey set up a couple of unsuccessful and/or publicly-funded small businesses (thus enabling her to claim on Wikipedia etc that she had been a “businesswoman” before becoming an MP), her main activity from 1991 and for much of the 1990s was being a TV presenter for both BBC and ITV, the high point being, apparently, co-presenting “GMTV” (ITV breakfast show) with that ignorant Irish slug Eamonn Holmes [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eamonn_Holmes].
I have no idea how she got into that kind of work, though I notice that, at the time, her boyfriend was a TV producer. She has a Liverpudlian accent that seems, at times, impenetrable.
Esther Mcvey was elected as MP for Wirral West, a so-called “bellwether” seat, in 2010:
“Few will forget the infamous moment in 2013 when the then Wirral West MP said she thought it was ‘right’ and ‘positive’ that struggling people were turning to foodbanks because they could not afford to eat.
She told the House of Commons: “In the UK it is right that, you know, more people are visiting – which you’d expect – going to foodbanks.”” [Liverpool Echo]
Even the Jewish Zionist Liverpool Wavertree then-Labour MP, Luciana Berger, said that McVey’s response still “haunted” her: “It was disgraceful and showed absolutely no empathy – I was on the benches going ballistic.“
McVey was removed as MP for Wirral West in 2015 by the electors, many of whom described her, perhaps understandably, as “McVile”. She was then handed a well-paid sinecure for 2 years by her cronies and their cronies, as Chair of the British Transport Police Authority [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Transport_Police_Authority], an organization and activity about which stupid McVey knew absolutely nothing (and probably still knows nothing). We talk about corruption in Africa or Asia, but what to make of an appointment like that?!
McVey was then, almost beyond belief, selected as Conservative candidate for the safe Conservative seat of Tatton, vacated by part-Jew ex-Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne. She returned to Parliament in 2017.
“She served in the Second May ministry as Deputy Chief Whip from 2017 to 2018. She was appointed Work and Pensions Secretary on 8 January 2018, but resigned on 15 November 2018 in opposition to the Brexit negotiations and the Brexit withdrawal agreement. In July 2018 it was reported by the head of the National Audit Office (NAO) that McVey had misled parliament over the new Universal Credit scheme by claiming that the NAO report showed that it should be rolled out faster when in fact the report concluded that the roll-out should be paused.[3]She apologised to the House of Commons on 4 July 2018[4][5] amid calls for her resignation.” [Wikipedia]
The bitch of course did not resign. Her type only understands brute force. People of her type have to be forced out of lucrative or careerist positions.
Incredibly, having been totally dishonest and incompetent as junior minister at the DWP (under part-Jap sadist Iain Dunce Duncan Smith), she was appointed by part-Jew Theresa May as Secretary of State in 2018. She later resigned over Brexit, but was re-appointed to Cabinet by Boris-Idiot in 2019.
“In June 2019 she stood in the 2019 Conservative Party leadership election. She was eliminated in the first round after finishing in last place with nine votes.” Well, so that was how her fellow Conservative MPs rated her— only 9 votes out of 317…
I detect three main strands in Esther McVey:
useless at her jobs (I cannot comment on her as a TV presenter, because I do not watch the kind of rubbish she presented);
lacking not only competence but any decent empathy or understanding;
a tendency to get personally involved with those working in the same organizations: when in TV, with at least one television producer; later, in politics, involved with the useless and lazy half-Jew “Conservative” MP, Ed Vaizey [formerly Con, now Independent, Wantage], who was made a minister and then —ludicrously— Secretary of State for Culture] [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Vaizey#Expense_claims]; now she is apparently engaged to another MP, Phillip Davies [Con, Shipley], in whom she apparently had “a long-term, on-off romantic interest” or vice-versa: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Davies#Personal_life
McVey is also, I read, friendly with the McCann couple, whose little girl, notoriously, disappeared in mysterious circumstances in Portugal many years ago now.
McVey is a member of Conservative Friends of Israel.
The funniest thing I have read all week. She was my MP. I have met her on numerous occasions. She does not have the intellectual capacity to run a chip shop let alone a country.
So there we are. Esther McVey. A major deadhead, who is in a very safe seat and therefore unlikely to be removed by the voters. She, in her very person, is an indictment of the political system that has sustained her for a decade.
Well, credit where due. Boris-idiot (or his eminence grise, Dominic Cummings), decided to bin Esther McVey, whose last Government job was as Housing Minister, a non-Cabinet post, though she was, I read, invited to attend Cabinet. God knows why. Housing is vitally important at present, but that merely begs the question: why appoint a deadhead like McVey to that portfolio?
I’m very sorry to be relieved of my duties as Housing Minister
I wish my successor the very best & every success
I’m very grateful to the Prime Minister for having given me the opportunity to serve in his government & he will continue to have my support from the back benches
Goodbye Esther. You have done nothing for leaseholders trapped in a #claddingscandal & #leaseholdscandal. Not met with a single affected leaseholder or tenant. MP with a lack of compassion can’t be in a housing post. UK has a huge housing crisis; but you failed to notice.
Esther McVey was an example of a whole phenomenon which grew up since 1997: MPs lucky even to be MPs, and who became MPs because they were once on TV (eg Esther McVey, Gloria de Piero, Anna Soubry), or because they once wrote cheap novels (Louise Mensch— remember her, the drug abuser and “ho”?) etc, but who were unable even to function properly as MPs before being promoted, incredibly, to ministerial and even Cabinet positions.
Now? Well, deconstructing her CV, she has never had a real job (a real one, not the fake ones on her CV such as pretending to have been a director of her father’s demolition business, or a “businesswoman”); save for her TV presenter years. Hard to imagine anyone offering her a position (I mean a business one…). I therefore assume that she will stay on as MP in her safe seat of Tatton (rural Cheshire) indefinitely. She will of course never again hold Government office.

It will be noted that among the names on the above list is that of Therese Coffey MP [Con, Suffolk Coastal], recently appointed as Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. The role has been held by deadheads before, idiots such as Iain Dunce Duncan Smith and Esther McVey.
So who is Therese Coffey?
Therese Coffey was born in Lancashire, to parents about whom neither Wikipedia nor her own website say anything at all. She was brought up in Liverpool, according to Wikipedia, which however says that she was at school both at St. Mary’s College, in the small North Wales town of Rhos-on-Sea, and at St. Edward’s College, Liverpool. Both were at the time private Roman Catholic schools. Coffey is a name of Irish origin.
Therese Coffey was awarded a B.A. degree by Oxford University (subject unknown), she having gone up to Somerville College; then (oddly, on the face of it) she acquired a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UCL. Therese Coffey is often referred to as “Dr” Therese Coffey.
[Update, 21 May 2020: since writing the above, I have discovered that, while Oxford’s usual Chemistry degree is a 4-year course leading to a Master’s degree (M.Chem), the University does offer other chemistry-related 3-year science degrees
[Update, 7 September 2022: Wait a minute… it now turns out that Therese Coffey was asked to leave her Oxford college because she was not up to the course academically, and/or failed her exams! See update at foot of this blog post for more]
In England (though not in some other countries, notably Germany) it has always been considered infra dig to use the title “Doctor” unless one is either a medical doctor or some sort of working academic, scientist or clergyman. Unfortunately, there has fairly recently developed in the UK a strange affectation, of people insisting on referring to themselves as “Dr” when all they have is a doctorate in something (other than whatever they do professionally or whatever). So we have “Dr” Julian Lewis MP [Con, New Forest East], who holds a doctorate (D.Phil) in Strategic Studies. Another is “Dr” Louise Raw, “antifa” type prolific on Twitter, who holds a Ph.D. and whose special subject is one particular industrial strike in 1888. Now we also have “Dr” Therese Coffey.
Therese Coffey was awarded her doctorate in chemistry in 1998, at the age of 28. Her own website says that she was at one time a “management accountant”. She worked for Mars, the confectionery company, and for a subsidiary of the same, at which latter she was apparently Finance Director. She also did some work for the BBC. I think that we can assume that Therese Coffey’s non-political career was far from stellar.
Therese Coffey failed to become a Conservative MEP at the EU elections of both 2004 and 2009. She was, however, selected for the Conservative candidature at Suffolk Coastal (despite having been born and brought up in the North West of England, later living in Andover, Hampshire and having no obvious connection with Suffolk or East Anglia).
The expenses claimed by Therese Coffey in her first 6 months as MP were more than double those claimed by MPs in some other nearby seats. She seems to have kept her house and flat in Hampshire, which (it has been said of at least one) are being let.
Therese Coffey was one of the 72 MPs (almost all Conservatives) who both have an income of over £10,000 p.a. from rental property and voted out a bill requiring landlords to ensure that their properties were fit for human habitation! In other words, Therese Coffey is a parasite.
Therese Coffey voted to sell off woodland and forests in public ownership to private interests (the bill was dropped after a huge public outcry).
Therese Coffey has written a position paper recommending that pensioners pay National Insurance. She is a member of the extreme Free Enterprise Group within the Conservative Party.
Therese Coffey has been in favour of both Rupert Murdoch and gambling interests in the past.
Therese Coffey has from time to time bunged her own sister some money out of Parliamentary expenses for work (presumably) done.
Therese Coffey likes a “rock band” called Muse, it seems. I had never heard of them until now. Her interest in rock music seems bizarre, looking at her photographs and thinking of what can be gleaned of her personality (not very much). She certainly looks more like Patricia Routledge’s portrayal of the retirement-age Lancastrian private eye, Hetty Wainthropp, in Hetty Wainthropp Investigates. However, Ms. Coffey’s liking for real ale (she is a member of CAMRA) is rather plausible. In fact, Ms. Coffey is only 47 years old, surprisingly, she having been born in November 1971.
I would have assumed that Therese Coffey is a lesbian, looking at this tank-like, Guinness-drinking, cigar-smoking person who likes football, but there is nothing I have found on the Internet to support such a conclusion directly; and she voted against “gay marriage” (and in that alone I support her, inasmuch as I feel that “civil partnership” provided whatever socio-legal comfort was necessary to deal with the inadequacies of the English law as it was in the previous century).
What disturbs me most about Therese Coffey is not so much what she has said, written and done, though that is bad enough, but what I have not seen from her: I have seen no intellectual curiosity that goes outside the box, for example any discussion of the need for Basic Income; neither have I seen anything else of intellectual interest from her. Admittedly, I have only been looking since her elevation to Cabinet (she was only a non-Cabinet minister earlier in 2019, and before that only one of the Conservative whips, traditionally a role for plodders…). If my view changes, I shall update this article, being by nature fair and just.
Therese Coffey may be the Cabinet minister with the lowest public profile. She is unknown to the general public. How long she will remain in Cabinet, I have no idea. If Boris-Idiot falls, “not long” is my guess. It may be thought unfair to dub someone with qualifications in both chemistry and accountancy a “deadhead”, but from the socio-political point of view I think that she well merits it. At any rate, as MP she is not going away, in that Suffolk Coastal is one of the safest Conservative seats.
Obscure Minister moans about duff advice from scientists https://t.co/VZdf6j9gzu Downing Street says she is being 'unhelpful' . I'll say she is. The recognition that scientific advice can be wrong and ministers are responsible for following it or not, is dangerous to this lot.
Just as well that she does not have the power to give DWP benefits claimants an electric shock via a dog collar…

I could comment, but my words would probably be regarded either as “grossly offensive” or as “incitement” to…something or other…
One thing is for sure— standing outside the Conservative Party Conference holding up placards asking for this kind of political criminal to be nicer to people just does not work…
(and what about this?)…
5.5 million families woke up £1040-a-year worse off as their universal credit was cut.

Jesus Christ! Could it get any worse? Do you call for its nurse, or just put it out of its misery?
Update, 6 September 2022
Well, whether you call it “the irony of fate”, a concatenation of unexpected events, or just madness, Therese Coffey has not only survived the fall of “Boris”-idiot, and stayed in Cabinet, but has been effectively promoted to two new positions— Secretary of State for Health, and Deputy Prime Minister.
It seems that —unknown to me until today— Therese Coffey and the —it seems strange to use the words— new Prime Minister, Liz Truss, are rather friendly. I suppose that, in that snake pit, Liz Truss would rather have a few friends around her rather than potential backstabbers who might, however, actually be competent at the jobs occupied.
The Twitterati have not been kind:
The fact that I have put Therese Coffey in charge of the NHS tells you all you need to know about my government. pic.twitter.com/2ioREL9tC5
Thérèse Coffey's reward for kicking thousands of disabled people off Universal Credit ahead of a major cost of living crisis is promotion to health secretary. Be very afraid.
Therese Coffey who hid 9 reports that apparently detailed wrong doings and cruelty in her last department is Health Secretary, Deputy PM – She is also best friends with Truss. https://t.co/XOoGOZRljv
Thérèse Coffey advised the covid unemployed to 'spend their savings', and told victims of Sunak's £20 a week universal credit cut to 'work another two hours'. She's now Britain's deputy prime minister.
Therese Coffey is an absolutely woeful politician. For her to be given such important roles is @trussliz treating them with contempt. Only been Prime Minister five minutes and already making nonsensical Johnson like appointments.
So there it is. Those who follow my blog, or read it regularly, will know or perhaps can guess what I think (inter alia, that tweeting, blogging, or complaining and protesting, will not rid our country of incompetent, corrupt, or evil politicians). Let’s leave it there…
Update, 7 September 2002
Wait a minute… it now turns out that Therese Coffey was asked to leave her Oxford college because either she was not up to the course academically, and/or failed her exams.
So how did she get even a BA degree from Somerville? Or is that a total fabrication, like Iain Dunce Duncan Smith’s notoriously fake CV? Other MPs also have faked or partly-faked CVs.
To my mind, Therese Coffey warrants further and deeper investigation. She may be, or may have been, involved in other fakery, fabrication and/or fraud.
Still, it seems now, more than ever, that she fully deserves the title “deadhead“.
Well, there they are— the stupid and ignorant “ho”, Liz Truss, already living on borrowed time as (and merely posing as) Prime Minister, and equally-ridiculous “Secretary of State for Health”, Therese Coffey.
The completely decadent and broken (and Jew-Zionist dominated) British political system, 2022, in a single photograph.

R4 today. Therese Coffey absolutely hopeless. Sounds patronising, out of touch and somehow unpleasant. Horrible listening to her. What an absolutely detestable Government we have …. I believe they are Tories.
— #gotyourbackNHS. #BrexitbrokeBrittain (@lynwis) October 11, 2022
One wonders about the psychology of Therese Coffey, looking at her, and looking at the state of her. A fat and ugly woman, prematurely aged, who gets drunk, spills beer over herself, and smokes cigars while doing it. “Multiple frustrations” would be my armchair psychologist diagnosis.
What does it say about our system of “democracy”, and our system of MP and ministerial selection, that a ghastly and quite possibly evil woman of that sort can become, by a series of “chance” events, a Deputy Prime Minister?
The same goes, of course, for the stupid and ignorant “ho” presently posing as Prime Minister.
Just watched a snippet of Kay Burley interviewing Therese Coffey. It gets more disgraceful every time you see it. Coffey could not give two shits. What a criminal state of affairs having a thing like that as Deputy Prime Minister. No wonder she pretends to be unaware. Horrendous!
Interesting, but not surprising. My assessment of the bitch, from 2019, implied as much.
‘It’s news to me,’ Deputy Prime Minister Therese Coffey says, when asked about UK financial market instability on Sky News this morning. Surely that’s not the line.. https://t.co/j7nx2rrw9R
Had one not seen what has been going on in the governance of Britain since at least 2010, one would perhaps be surprised that someone as totally inadequate, dim, and also amoral as Therese Coffey could ever climb higher than the backbenches.
How will the government pay for the £60 billion black hole?
Therese Coffey says she can't get into "hypotheticals" but growing the economy is essential and the Chancellors will share his plan at the end of the month.

Look at the bitch! Look at her friend and boss, “ho” Truss, too. They are both embarrassments to this country, as are woolly-head Kwarteng and half-caste thicko James Cleverly.

Indian money-juggler Rishi Sunak may now have taken over as bad-joke “Prime Minister”, but Therese Coffey has survived in Cabinet, unbelievably, and still sits there, stupid, incompetent, but immovable…
I’m sorry, but if you’ve been put forward to do the morning media rounds, it’s literally your job to know the fucking details!! Typically useless, arrogant Coffey dodging difficult questions with lazy, well worn responses. https://t.co/FhUgifRC2W
