Apart from that, how sad. The enemies of Europe want to destroy everything beautiful and worthwhile, or pervert it.

Eventually there must be real resistance from European people. There will eventually be a civil war which will be partly racial, partly cultural (but of course “race is the rootstock, culture is the flower“), and partly ideological.

“Brexit” was not a mistake, as such, but it was completely incompetently done (possibly deliberately, as well, in part). The UK should have cut itself adrift from EU rules and laws and policies, kept or “nationalized” those that made sense, jettisoned the rest, then joined with Russia in a special trading relationship— the UK stands aside from active participation in NATO and, in return, gets free or cheap oil and gas from Russia.

Incidentally, Julia Grace Patterson, though qualified in medicine, only practised for a short time (in hospital A&E) before dropping out. She also studied psychiatry for a year, but has never practised in the field, as far as I know.

The “campaigning” of “Every Doctor” seems to be largely based around “Covid” fanaticism (especially the facemask nonsense— Ms. Patterson just happens to sell facemasks…), and demands for NHS doctors to be paid (even) more.

Russian forces are not working as a co-ordinated whole. The responsibility for that may reside in various places but, at the end of the day, resides with Putin himself. In the American phrase, “the buck stops there“…

The Bakhmut/Artyomovsk battle has become a trial of strength extremely important for the morale of both sides.

All the same, if Russian forces lose out, Russia can still step up its war operations generally in Ukraine with more destructive methods yet, in theory right the way up to nuclear ICBMs. Ukraine or Kiev-regime commanders cannot; they have no such weapons. The most for which they can hope is relatively few high-grade Western weapons such as fighter aircraft and Abrams tanks, the capabilities of which latter are phenomenal— what would Rommel or Guderian not have given for such tanks in the early/mid 1940s?

Interesting, especially if the ratio is accurate. Yesterday, it was all “one Ukrainian [Kiev-regime] fighter killed for every seven Russians“, but today it seems that the losses are equal on both sides,

I wonder whether that 1:7 ratio claim was part of the propaganda pumped out saying that the Kiev-regime soldiers are some kind of elite (not very plausible from what I see on Twitter and in the UK msm), whereas the Russian soldiers are “orcs” [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orc].

The aim of the Kiev regime here (as also with much of the UK/US “reportage”, if it can be called that), is to dehumanize the Russian soldiers. We see little or nothing from the Russian side of the conflict in the msm; even on Twitter etc, the Kiev-regime has “played a blinder” in propaganda terms compared to the stolid offerings of the Russian Foreign Ministry and the unsophisticated social media output of individual Russian tweeters.

One notes that (up to ministerial level, i.e. tweets by government ministers) the Kiev regime notes not only the damage done to civilians (by Russians, never by pro-Kiev Ukrainians), and also tweets about abandoned or rescued cats and dogs. The aim is obviously to capture the hearts of Western readers (the tweets have English subtitles).

I am 100% in favour of the cats and dogs, and indeed those helping them, as far as that goes, but there are probably as many doing that on the Russian side (in Donetsk etc); we never hear or see anything about that.

As I say, the Kiev-regime side is far more sophisticated in terms of propaganda aimed at the West (even/especially when appearing to be artless) than the Russian side.

Compare the cultural history of Russia and Ukraine. For whatever reason, Russia has a far more complex and rich cultural background than Ukraine: music, literature, philosophy etc. Yet the Russians are, supposedly, the “orcs“…

If Russian forces can complete the encirclement of Bakhmut/Artyomovsk, they may capture thousands of Kiev-regime troops; even if the latter escape encirclement, they would be all but spent, and would have to slowly straggle northward. Whether the Russian forces could then make a big advance is, however, an open question.

Since I blogged as above, I have several times written (and far more critically) about “Jack Monroe”, the so-called “Bootstrap Cook”. She is somewhere between a fake and a fraud, yet (as of today) 479 utter mugs are still sending her a total of between (about) £1,700 and (about) £21,000 each and every month, via Patreon.

I knew that there had to be something wrong with anyone apparently friendly with Jew-Zionist solicitor Mark Lewis [see, eg, https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/11/update-re-mark-lewis-lawyer-questions-are-raised/].

They can join the rest. Actually, forget the trees. Walls are OK.

Note the early-ingrained hysteria— that the SS would “invade her house and take her away“, rather unlikely in Canada, and in the late 1960s or early 1970s, about 25 years or more after the end of the Second World War. Did she really fear that? I doubt it; either she was a very stupid child or she is not quite telling the truth now.

So anyway, in fact she —apparently— does not want criminal sanction, but wants to censor and repress historical study and revision another way, via backstairs manipulation and pressuring of online fora and platforms.

Incidentally, contrary to what the YouTube blurb says, her family (grandparents) did not “escape” National Socialist Germany, but left Russia for Canada, probably before the First World War. She is now 58, born 1964, so her grandparents were born, presumably, in the early 20thC, and in Russia:

They, after all, still celebrate the downfall and death of some of their enemies thousands of years after the events in question occurred. Most of their religious holidays are of such a nature. Will those who were secretaries aged 18 and who worked at, say, Los Alamos, or at US and UK air bases, be tried because of what happened at Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Tokyo, or for that matter during the Allied air bombing campaign against Germany, in which possibly 800,000 people, mostly civilians, were killed?

I doubt it.

It is clear that the NHS and the social care system need to be one system, seamlessly operating. What stands in the way of that? Funding, yes, but also the vested interests in the NHS. This is a problem that grew out of the way in which the NHS was set up; also, the ageing population.

That idiot, Wallace, will make London and the rest of the UK a nuclear target if it is the last thing he does, and it may well turn out to be so.

I can only conclude that either the 643 mugs are living in cloistered conditions, where they are sheltered from the news, or that they are masochistic, and enjoy being taken advantage of. The same sort of people probably support the migration-invasion, and will vote (fake) “Labour” even if its policies are a carbon copy of those of the equally-fake “Conservatives”.

As I said…mugs.

I may be wrong, but my opinion is that the msm has all but “cancelled” the “Bootstrap Cook” now. She has just become too obviously “dodgy”. I would hazard a guess that she will not be much if at all on TV or in the Press in the future.

Having said that, in her shoes I would be not too dissatisfied that 643 mugs are still sending me a total of between £2,500 and £30,000 a month. In the well-worn phrase, I wish! Also, it seems from tweets read that she has inheritance expectations, possibly in the millions, down the line.

North Korea is like a laboratory experiment showing the deficiencies of old-style socialism (or any system of society where the political element completely rules over both the economic sphere and the spiritual/cultural sphere): see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_threefolding.

At the same time, it is incredible to see what the human spirit (even when largely crushed, as in North Korea) can accomplish under collective will (whether voluntarily or otherwise). North Korea’s people may be half-starved, and more or less beaten into submission, yet they have developed rockets, and have huge and apparently efficient armed forces, at the same time as the domestic railways scarcely work, the roads are mostly potholed and ill-repaired, and many of the rank and file North Koreans hungry and poorly clothed.

North Korea prioritizes military spending, and making its capital as much of a showcase as it can, before anything else (except the privileges of the ruling circles). A socio-political choice by the few who rule.

There are examples elsewhere in the world. Stalin said, on learning of the atom bomb, “we must have it, even if we have to eat grass“. Well, Stalin and his clique never had to eat grass, but many of the Soviet people were on almost starvation rations for years, and later on very modest living standards, even as the Soviet Union industrialized (1930s), defeated the German Reich (1940s), built the atom bomb (1940s) and a hydrogen bomb (1950s), and launched into space (1950s and 1960s).

In other words, these things are questions of political will and prioritization, at least up to a point. Stalin told his intelligence agencies to discover how to build an atom bomb at a time when nothing was known of it beyond its actual existence. It had never been deployed, nor even tested. Armed only with that one fact, that it existed, the foreign intelligence directorates of the NKVD and GRU managed to get enough information to enable the Soviet Union to build a usable bomb.

Another case: Adolf Hitler found a Germany in the depths of poverty and despair (yes, a simplification, but largely true) and raised it to glory, even if that lasted only 12 years. His will alone, transmitted to others and thence to others yet, created the achievements of the German Reich in the 6 years of peace, and then in the 6 years of war, the latter including not only initial and stunning military victories, but technical achievements which, inter alia, led humanity to the Moon and outer space (the V2 rockets developed by von Braun and his team).

There is a “creative tension”, if you like, between the necessity to have political will to do something, and the equally-pressing necessity to have the economic resources to accomplish that objective. Some countries have the political direction (North Korea the obvious example, perhaps) but (in that case by reason of a ramshackle socialist economy) lack the resources to do what the political leadership would perhaps like to do; at least to the extent that its government would like.

There again, there are thriving economies in countries that have very little political direction: contemporary Germany, and indeed most of the Western and Central Europe of the present-day. The economic benefits of those economies go, one way or another, to satisfying consumer demand. The opposite of Goering’s famous remark “guns before butter“.

The rationale will be something like “accept the microchip under your skin. Naturally, I am opposed to the ludicrous Covid “restrictions” anyway, but the incredibly “entitled” attitude of the Conservative Party hierarchy has shot the Government’s credibility, such as it was, to pieces. Parties in Downing Street, and at CCHQ, with none of the useless but previously “mandated” measures in place: no facemasks, no “social distancing”, and no arbitrary “rule of 6”.

This is up there with “let them eat cake“…

Wikipedia is a valuable resource, perhaps the best single source of information on the Internet, but when it comes to matters involving Jew-Zionism, the so-called “far right” (social-nationalism) etc, the (((influence))) is readily apparent.

There is only one way to counter the evil, or maybe two, but so far there is little sign of any resistance at all to either the Great Reset or the Great Replacement in the UK. A few protest marches in London parks do not cut it; those people would be better off saving their time and money.

I always thought that Andy Burnham was one of the better people on the Labour side…but then I heard him, a few years ago, weaselling about “holocaust” nonsense, and I thought again…another System drone.

So in the UK there are 10 or 11 people hospitalized with “Omicron” (with, not exclusively however— they have other “co-morbidities”), none of those 10-11 require to be on ventilators, and it may be that 1 other person has in recent weeks died with Omicron. For this, Boris-idiot and the sinister clowns of SAGE have half-closed down the country, and re-mandated the facemask nonsense…

North Shropshire by-election

For what it is worth, the bookmakers now have the Conservative Party candidate just ahead of the LibDem. Seems to be an open contest between those two, and with —in my view— every chance that the LibDem might bring off the biggest surprise in the history of the constituency (which history, though with a break of a century, goes back to 1832).

It is a little strange that Labour supporters would vote Labour just to (?) make a point (what point? That “democracy” is really rather a sham in our system?), when they could dislodge the Conservatives (and make electoral history) by voting tactically for the LibDem, but I suppose that many recall the way in which Clegg and the LibDems propped-up the regime of the part-Jews David Cameron-Levita and George Osborne from 2010-2015, thus enabling all those cruel and callous “welfare” (social security) cuts and other measures (the ATOS scandal etc). Many will never trust the LibDems again.

All interesting. I myself am at least as interested in the origins of “Covid” itself etc. First in Wuhan, a large city in China most Westerners had never heard of until 2020.

In Wuhan, we were told, and heard, people were falling over dead in the street; the Chinese authorities “locked down” the city for weeks. Strangely enough, it now seems that very few people died there. China quite rapidly returned to normal.

Next, in early 2020, we hear of “the virus” in Alpine ski resorts. Really? As if someone had deliberately released the virus in the best place for its incubation, and then exportation around Europe.

In 2020, the former Chief of SIS, Sir Richard Dearlove [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Dearlove], advanced a tentative opinion, apparently based on Danish sources, to the effect that Covid-19 had been manufactured in a laboratory in Wuhan, but “accidentally” released.

For whatever reason, Dearlove backtracked soon afterwards, but recent news has tended to support the view that Covid-19 was no “accident” in a “wet market” in Wuhan, despite the widespread showing of a Hollywood film (in the UK and elsewhere) in 2020, at the same time, and about such an accident…

The UK public, along with people across Europe and the wider world, was shown film from shuttered and fearful Italian towns, and scenes from overwhelmed Italian hospitals. Suddenly, most of Europe was trapped in government-promoted fear and repression.

Today, about 21 months on, not much has changed. Lockdowns, repression, facemask nonsense, other measures. The only difference is the seemingly ineffective “vaccines” as a straw to clutch at, “boosters” etc, and a huge official PR effort in the corrupted msm.

The facts remain that, in big-picture terms, very few people have died from any of the “variants” of “Covid”. About 5 million to date (even taking the statistics as genuine). That is out of about 8 billion people in the world now. So about, very roughly, one death for every 1, 600 people. In the UK, perhaps one in a thousand.

Influenza deaths in the UK and, I think, elsewhere, have disappeared at the same time…

This is, it seems to me, a conspiracy on a vast scale. It is plainly connected with 2022-2055, the “Great Reset”, and also, less directly, with the “Great Replacement” of Europeans by non-whites.

Worth watching; worth thinking about. The two girls interviewed at about 6:00 are beyond help. There is no point in their existing at all, they and those like them are useless from the point of view of creating a new and better society…and there are millions like them across the white European and European-derived world.

I once had a photo, possibly taken covertly, showing guests arriving at a Satanic party in either France or Morocco in the 1960s, a party said to have been attended by, and financed by, (some) Rothschilds, but it was on a computer I no longer have. Pity.

For me, life under “Covid” or, more accurately, under the toytown police state imposed (using “the virus” as excuse and battering ram) in 2020 and 2021, though irritating, has been no more stressful than before, possibly because I have not been in Bar practice —or other daily activity requiring one to be on the qui vive— for over a decade now.

I laughed to see that the pathetic rump of the New Statesman thinks that “normality” is returning. I suppose they mean cretinous persons are again allowed to cram into loud unpleasant “clubs” etc.

How can society achieve a quantum leap?

The most important thing for our society to do, once it has “cleared the decks” of major problems, backward elements and impediments, is to —metaphorically and, perhaps, eventually, actually— “aim for the stars”.

For practical purposes, the human brain is infinite.

Human beings are still at or near the start of their development. IQ tests are only a guide to the present intelligence of an individual or a people. The “average” is usually taken to be 100. A simplification, of course [see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_quotient].

I believe that the high-IQ club, MENSA, takes members above a score something like 140 or 142. It is not particularly uncommon for persons to score well above that level, though such persons are within the top 2%, and in some cases 1%, of the population. I myself was tested (in the 1980s, before marriages and an ocean of red wine) at 156. I know at least one person who was once tested at 169, which (I think) is somewhere towards the top of the useful scale, though I am no expert in these matters.

The figures can only be taken as a rough guide to reality. According to the Wikipedia article cited above, persons in “professional and technical” occupations average, supposedly, around 112, while persons who are medical doctors, lawyers etc score an average of 125.

It is often mistakenly thought that a score above some set figure indicates “genius”, whereas in reality “genius” imports what Wagner, in response to a question about his own genius, called “universal currents of Divine thought“.

One sometimes sees young persons whom the popular Press describes as having “genius” IQ. Their strong suit is usually mathematics. A number of years ago, a young Jewish girl was one such. Such people rarely take a leading role in society, either because they have no interest in doing so, or because their mentality is narrowly-focussed, or both.

When we talk about society in general, we talk of a broad advance (or decline) across the board. It is well known that Oriental ethnic groups, especially Chinese and Japanese, have a high average IQ. Northern Europeans too. Some ethnic groups, particularly many sub-Saharan African ones, have a markedly low average IQ.

This is not a (no pun intended) black and white issue. Even the Wikipedia overview [see above] outlines some of the uncertainties and complexities.

There is also the point that mere intelligence is not everything. “Emotional intelligence”, often called “EQ”, is also of importance. A common mistake is to imagine that morality, compassion etc are “add-ons” to intelligence. Not so. In our present age, the two are distinct, but to imagine that evil-doers are generally more intelligent than the well-intentioned is an error.

Valentin Tomberg [ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentin_Tomberg] examined the good/evil and high intelligence/low intelligence binaries in some of his work. He also noted, as did Steiner, the eventual appearance on Earth of two opposed groups, which would become opposed cultures, civilizations, and then races, one evil, one good.

Let us ask, as an exercise in ideas, what could we do, in a circumstance where we have the power to choose, to create a higher societal form.

For the purposes of this exercise, I am assuming that the most unpleasant and backward groups in present UK society are no longer present.

The starting point must be the educational system, which is obviously not working. A simplistic view would be to say “replace present State and other education with Steiner (or other) education”. My problem with that would be that, from what I have heard, even Steiner education is by no means perfect.

However, there obviously needs to be considerable reform of both school and university education. The whole “degree” and “master’s degree” and “doctorate” system should really be junked, as no longer fit for purpose.

“Education” should not be merely a matter of stuffing heads with facts (important though that can be); still less, a matter of stuffing heads with propaganda (often false). It should be a matter of general, including moral-ethical, upbringing, with the aim of allowing to blossom each child’s capabilities and talents for the ultimate good of society.

Institutes should be established, which would have the specific aim of increasing the cultural and intelligence level of the people. A great deal has been learned in the past century about how to increase intelligence in the short-term: diet, music etc.

During the 12-year currency of the German Reich, there were institutes established to study esoteric matters, as well as history. The best known was SS-Ahnenerbe [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahnenerbe].

There was a generally spiritual as well as practical side to German National Socialism.

Even today, there is considerable interest in SS-Ahnenerbe, and later developments.

While it would be excellent to establish an institute such as SS-Ahnenerbe in the new UK state, the Ahnenerbe’s focus was mainly on the past, whereas for me the orientation has to be towards the future.

We already have institutes of, inter alia, psychology, sociology, philosophy. We need to study, on a more rigorous basis, astrology, parapsychology, hypnotism, magic, telekinesis etc.

I wonder whether someone would like to do a similar graphic, though more complex, of the UK, taken over slowly since the late 19th Century. The graphic would show infiltration into business, the legal professions, politics, the mass media and other areas, including rental property (both commercial and residential).

John Rentoul may have to accept that his general knowledge is nowhere near as good as his specialized political knowledge. At least he is honest enough to publish his generally poor results.

I have beaten Rentoul almost every week for months, since I started to follow his Saturday quiz attempts from the i newspaper. We have tied once, or maybe twice. I think that he beat my score once, a week or two ago.

The whole of the UK is facing a form of police state tyranny now. It was a “toytown” police state, but is now changing form and becoming a real police state, with the convenient “virus” panic as a cover.

Catch-22. I am trying to get this important information out to as many people as I can before the System, possibly using the Jewish lobby or part of it, prevents me from being able to post the truth. There is that danger.

True, my blog only reaches a relatively small number of people (I do not believe that I have ever had 1,000 hits in a single day, and the norm is less than half of that number), but not many other bloggers (if any) are posting some of the stuff I write. I —and my blog— are certainly targets.

Readers of this blog can help by sending my articles and diary pages to others, or linking to this blog in whatever those readers themselves write.

Talking about this blog and its readership numbers, I started writing this blog in late 2016, so have now had 4 full years of operation. 2020 was by far the best year in terms of numbers of visitors and numbers of hits.

The number of both visitors and hits in 2020 was more than double the number of visitors and hits in 2019.

In 2020, the number of hits was 8-9 times the numbers achieved in both 2017 and 2018 (which years resulted in similar numbers of hits).

As for the number of visitors, the number in 2020, while over double that of 2019, was around 6 times that of both 2017 and 2018.

Happy day…won nearly £300 on the Lotto. It has been a year or more since I last won anything decent (I think about £500, but that was on a scratchcard).

People may have noticed that my former website, ianrmillard.com, is now inactive. I gave up that website because I was entirely dissatisfied with the hosting company (ipage), and would never recommend ipage to anyone. The customer service is difficult if not impossible to use if you are outside the USA. There are better companies, I believe.

A new website will be put in place under a new name, and in due course.

All part of the “Great Reset”. National or traditional days, whether Remembrance Day, Christmas or whatever have to be sidelined or cancelled. Overall, there is the push to eliminate those special days, to tear the people away into a culturally and spiritually homeless, raceless future. This is the “Power of Evil”, scarcely disguised.

A couple of things come to mind: first, he commends the architect, Gaudi, whose contrived works upset me or at least offend me as much as most of the Brutalist architecture Hitchens attacks. Secondly, Hitchens (in my view, correctly) says that the world would have been better had the First World War never happened. How much better yet would it have been had the Second World War never happened!

The latest statistics show 4,000 infections per day, but well under 100 deaths per day (yesterday 74, the day before 10, I think; these figures inflated anyway) from or with “the virus”.

It seems that, at present, 1 person dies for every 80-400 persons known to be infected. Many are infected but show no symptoms, so the real figure for the death rate (even taking the deaths figure as accurate) may be 1 death per 5,000 or even 10,000 infected.

It does not surprise me that the ludicrously misnamed SAGE committee (I prefer DUMB— Department Under Matt and Boris) is worried about public disorder. Incidentally, it it their job or their business to worry about that aspect? I think not. I suppose that that is what happens when proper government and administration is replaced by dystopian nonsense from people like Dominic Cummings.

I (like the “Government”) have been surprised to see how compliant and easy to scare and corral and order about the British people have been, but there is (probably) a limit.

The idea that the clown currently posing as Prime Minister can “order” anyone over 50 to “stay home” in a form of house arrest for months, or even years, is absurd. Even leaving aside the legalities, how would that even be enforced?

We have seen how compliant the rabbits of the UK are, but such a measure would certainly be unenforceable. For one thing, there are many who, though over 50, and even over 60 (like me) do not —on a good day!— look over 50. The police cannot check everyone’s age and, in the UK, people do not have to carry any ID or age papers, legally. So will the Handmaid’s Tale militia now used by supermarkets be checking passports at the door? This is unbelievable!

I shall, if such an “order” is ever given, be “49” for the duration, just like an ageing Hollywood actress.

In any case, I doubt whether many shops would actually enforce an “under-50s only” policy, firstly because that would wipe out half their trade (and many would buy as little as possible online to punish those retailers); secondly, such a policy by shops would surely be contra “equalities” laws, though admittedly that was never my area of expertise when I was at the Bar.

The “Government” (of clowns) has painted itself into a corner. Instead of taking sensible and limited measures early, such as stopping most inward flights, shooting “refugees” (migrant-invaders) in the Channel, closing pubs, nightclubs and crowded sporting and other events for the duration or at least for a few months, and stopping the Underground, other train services and other public transport, the idiots ordered the “lockdown” (shutdown of the economy). Result? A collapsing economy and little effect on “the virus”.

The next “policy” made up on the spur of the moment has been the facemask nonsense. “Holland’s top scientists said there’s no solid evidence coverings work and warn they could even damage the fight against Covid-19” [Daily Mail, 2 August 2020]

One problem is that the people giving the ludicrous “orders” are people who have never actually run anything much, starting with part-Jew public entertainer Boris-idiot; then we have little Matt Hancock (did a year or so as a graduate teaboy at the Bank of England), Gavin Williamson (once a fireplace salesman with a pet spider), Dominic Cummings (tried to set up an airline in Russia 25 years ago; it failed after one flight); and let’s not forget the ivory tower merchants, Chris Whitty and idiotic Professor Ferguson (who said that 800,000 would die in the UK, and who broke his own rules by letting his married “ho” visit him during “lockdown”).

What a bunch of clowns! And we the people are expected to obey their confused and quite possibly unlawful decrees? Screw that.

Without going into the rights and wrongs, on the face of it this is more than a disturbing report about one particular case. It seems to show the way the police are going in the UK. Only 2 months ago, persecuted singer-songwriter Alison Chabloz had her bedroom invaded quite early in the morning by a whole crowd of (mostly non-white) police “officers”.

The “police state” in the UK may be a “toytown” one at present, usually, but it is clear where this is going.

We never know what will happen in life. “Prepping” may not be as silly as many imagine…

I wonder whether many people would have imagined, say a year ago, that the UK government would shut down much of the economy, tell most people to stay at home unless shopping, and have the police going around harassing lone sunbathers on beaches, and elderly couples walking on the fells of the Peak District? Or that the entire population would be told to wear facemasks in shops etc, though not in pubs? Or on trains and buses, but not in offices?

Likewise, who would have thought, a year ago, that so-called “refugees” would be escorted across the Channel and put up in 4-star hotels (and given money on top) by the tough-talking “Conservative” government? Or that those detained ready to be deported would all be released?! Not many, I think.

How many of the over-50s, who were the ones that mainly voted “Conservative” in 2019, would have thought then that their being put under house arrest indefinitely would be a subject for serious discussion by the very government they had voted into unmerited office? Not many, I think.

So Tui is going to close down 166 travel agency shops. I suppose that that must add up to about 1,000 people losing their jobs. Tui is owned mainly by a Russian; for once a real one, not a Jew, but that has not improved his behaviour. He is supposedly worth USD $20 billion, and is the 4th-richest individual in Russia, yet in 2001, when already a billionaire, was paying only $600 a month to keep his ex-wife and their son alive…

Few in Russia would want the old Soviet system back, particularly the unfree sneaking and spying system run by the KGB (mainly the Second Chief Directorate), but the present system of oligarchy and near kleptocracy cannot last forever. Too many inequalities and, worse, too many inequities.

Of course, Tui closing its doors (only the offline ones) is not really a function of the Russian economy but solely of the UK one, meaning the mad “lockdown” shutdown.
