So yet another “conspiracy theory” turns out to be true…

Read the story. So many Muslims from traditionally-Muslim countries seem to be cruel by nature. Not all, of course, but many more by proportion as compared to European Christians (and other Europeans).

Britain 2023. Woman smashes bottle over another woman’s head in an unprovoked attack, then attacks yet another woman. Did not know either victim. Result? Suspended sentence. Britain is becoming a disordered jungle.

Good point.

Refers in part to a book, an anti-white diatribe called White Women.

Incidentally, I took the trouble to look up the book in question. It was published a couple of months ago, and presently ranks at about 19,000 in the Amazon bestsellers list. Using the Amazon Book Sales Calculator, that implies sales of only about 200 books worldwide per month. Not very many, but I bet that the “wokes” and the “you-know-whos” (((you know whos))) are getting it into the libraries of schools, colleges, and universities, mainly in the USA. More drip-drip anti-white poison.

The word the tweeter seeks is “slavery” or, perhaps, “serfdom“.

The age differences are disturbing, though.

Brainwashed by the msm? Or (and/or) can they not see what might be the ultimate consequence?

Most horse racing in England does not involve cruelty these days. There have been many advances in the care and welfare of horses over the years, though minor improvements are still necessary. Rather disturbing that so many seem to think that such a traditional part of British and especially English life should be banned.

Part-Jew nasty little blot, George Osborne, talking about how great is HS2, and how good things such as the motorway system have been. There is a contrary view.

I myself remember, when aged about 21 (1977-78), the sections of the M25 in Surrey still largely unbuilt. At that time, I lived near the top of Reigate Hill, very easy walking distance from what is now the roundabout/interchange at Junction 8 of the M25. The M25 running east from there was nearly finished, but the bit running west was still being constructed.

Indeed, as a child (early/mid 1960s), I recall an England almost entirely devoid of motorway. In many respects it was better that way, though I concede that that may be regarded as a “Little Englander” or even “Luddite”, point of view.

When the motorway system was put in place, driving long distances became much easier. However, a certain character was lost, and that loss continued and deepened in the 1990s and up to the present day, made worse by the cancerous growths of new housing projects (“boxes for people”, if you like). I suppose that anyone under 40 —or even 50— would struggle to understand, though.

[re. the “alleged” “grifter”/”fraud”, “Jack Monroe”].

It makes me laugh how so many of the ill-informed and ignorant on Twitter believe that an action in defamation can be launched easily and with almost-guaranteed success. Few understand even the basics of defamation, or of the economics of litigation.

Would the British people not have been much better off without corrupt Kurdish carpetbagger Nadhim Zahawi? Some tweeters live their lives without logic.

…and, actually, “carry on” doing what, exactly? Ripping people off, while cobbling together occasional recipes for appalling food?

Ukraine— stray thoughts

Let us take the probably-mistaken idea that “Ukraine is winning” to the max, to the reductio ad absurdum. Let us suppose that the forces of the Kiev regime expel Russian forces from all of pre-2014 Ukrainian territory, including Crimea. What then? Does Russia, or Putin, just accept that? Is that the end? I think not.

Ukrainian forces cannot cross the borders of Russia, even marginally, without provoking not only a response from the Russian Government but also from the Russian people, who would then be “triggered”, as people now say, to defend “Holy Russia”, their native land or “rodina“.

For the first time since the incursion/invasion of 2022, the Russian Government would then enjoy almost-unqualified public support in fighting the invading forces of the Kiev regime.

It is unlikely, though, that the Kiev-regime forces can in fact expel Russian forces from Ukrainian or former Ukrainian territory. Russia has a far greater population, a functioning economy, vast economic resources, and a nuclear backstop.

The logic seems to be that either Russia prevails in the present conflict, or that it is pushed out, only to then return with far greater numbers and might within a year or two.

In the end, Russia will annex Ukraine east of the Dnieper, whatever happens in the meantime. Unless a major East-West hot war starts first.

Saturday quiz

Well, this week a modest 6/10. Still enough, however, to beat political journalist John Rentoul, who scored 4/10.

I did not know the answers to questions 4, 6, 8, and 10. I should have known question no. 4 too, having been there as a child and I think maybe even having been on that canal.

Donkeys are beautiful, in their own way. Friendly and humble creatures. Probably my favourite animals, after cats.

Pseudo-liberal scribbler wants less freedom of expression online. Was there ever an era in which so many self-describing “journalists”, “creatives” and, indeed, “radicals”, wanted not more free speech but less?

https://www.theguardian.com/books/2023/jan/13/paul-johnson-obituary.

Sic transit gloria mundi… Paul Johnson, almost if not actually obscure to the public of 2023, was a major political, or socio-political, voice in the 1980s, 1970s, and indeed 1960s. I can recall seeing him on TV in the early 1970s, sternly extolling the potential virtue of having a State-controlled or subsidized newspaper which would be such a newspaper of record that it would only print the unvarnished truth of what had happened in the world. As people say, “good luck with that“… That TV chat was, of course, some years before Johnson turned away from socialism, and embraced Thatcherism.

I heard little of Paul Johnson in the 1990s, and his star faded (in the public eye) to the extent that I was actually surprised, some years ago, to discover that he was still alive.

The type of person who thinks his own views terribly important, to the extent that at least some others in the msm or System politics also think him important for a while, more important than he really is. Still, a prolific author, and certainly someone who influenced the uplands of British thought, though not the views of the man-in-the-street, for several decades.

It could be said that the meaning of the words “Simon Danczuk” is “disgraceful“.

Rassenschande

How much did the freeloading bastard get from the Daily Mail? He was always in the pocket of the Jewish lobby, so I expect that he gets a few crumbs thrown to him.

Incidentally, the bastard is ten years younger than me but looks ten years older. His life and lifestyle have caught up with him.

At least his godawful ex-wife, Karen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_Danczuk, is now forced to read about him while sitting on the dole in depressing Manchester. Thank God she failed to follow Danczuk into the Westminster monkeyhouse (which seemed quite likely at one point).

On the facts, certainly murder, not manslaughter. The jury must have been idiots. How was that not “intending to kill or to cause really serious injury [the victim then dying as a result]”?

The sentences were also far too lenient.

Incidentally, I was just watching a 1970s episode of Crown Court, the facts of the case revolving around an overworked and slightly disorganized Accident and Emergency department of an NHS hospital. Plus ca change?

Very true, but of course the hell of it is that Jewish-lobby puppet Starmer’s fake “Labour” will be no better, and quite possibly worse.

Never give “scientists”, academics, or bureaucrats too much influence or power.

I blogged recently about how I refused the “vaccines” for “Covid”, and —despite a now rather unhealthy and sedentary overall lifestyle— am still fine, whereas my two brothers in the UK and Australia, lifelong sports and golf players, were both “vaccinated” and “boosted”, and both (in the same week last year) had to be taken as emergency cases to hospital, having had heart attacks (btw, both now OK after having had heart by-pass operations).

Co-incidence? Karma? Or what? I know what I think.

“The Harry Formerly Known as Prince” and “Meghan Mulatta”. What a bad joke it all is.

Paid for by her mug supporters.

Ha ha!

As yet, and as far as I know, the Jew-Zionist self-publicizer and resident of Israel, Mark Lewis, who was her solicitor on a previous occasion years ago, has not come out of his kennel in recent months to defend the “Bootstrap Cook”.

“Jack Monroe” was threatening to sue Con Party MP, Lee Anderson, in May 2022, and all her friends in the newspapers were writing about it, but since then it has transpired that not only has she not taken even the first steps to suing Anderson, but that she launched a crowdfunder in May 2022, and raised money on that basis to sue Anderson (and the commentator Martin Daubney), but has kept those monies for her own use, as far as can be seen.

The police should be investigating “Jack Monroe” on suspicion of having committed fraud.

Another idea struck me.

“Jack Monroe” lives in Essex, in the Southend area. Her father is a rentier who rents out a number of houses there. He was, I read, once a fairly high-ranking member of the fire brigade there, and also holds an MBE. He may (I do not know) be a freemason, as also are so many responsible officers of the police. Is that a factor in “Jack Monroe” not being (as it at least seems) properly investigated? Again, I cannot say, either way.

Or maybe “Jack Monroe” is just not a “celebrity” any more, and so the non-existent “Essex Police Celebrity VIP Twitter Squad” can no longer give her special attention (as “victim” of the emerging truth)? (Only taking the joke further…).

Incidentally, my own experience of the Essex Police, from six years ago almost to the day: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/13/when-i-was-a-victim-of-a-malicious-zionist-complaint/ (blog post written six months later).

I, on the other hand, find it odd how so many of the remaining hardcore “Jack Monroe” supporters are zealous supporters also of the present inflated nonsense around “LGBTQXYZ”.

I still remain interested as to why there are, as it certainly seems, no young or even young-ish (say under-30, under-40) “Jack Monroe” supporters, and no ethnic minority supporters either, with the exception of a handful of Greek Cypriots I have noticed on Twitter (she herself is half-Greek Cypriot, her original name having been Melissa Hadjicostas).

I have previously suggested a couple of reasons why no ethnic minority people seem to support the “Bootstrap Cook”, one being that many of them know real poverty only too well to accept her nonsense, and the other being that few of them would look at the food of “Bootstrap Cook” with anything other than contempt.

There may be other reasons.

Unbelievably, there are, as of today, 634 utter mugs still sending between £3.50 and £44 a month each to “Jack Monroe”. No wonder she can spend money like a drunken sailor! The puzzle is why so many apparently crazed virtue-signallers want to enable it.

Those people are too kind…

Perhaps“?! Ha ha!..

Meaning because of “them”…

Very true. Worth reading.

Roger Scruton

…and in the middle of the alien crowd, I see the philosopher Roger Scruton, now deceased. “And then there were none“.

A couple of friends of mine in South London were friendly with Scruton, back in the mid/late 1970s. He would arrive by bicycle, in the manner of Cambridge University.

Then a fairly obscure university college lecturer at Birkbeck College (part of the University of London), though already becoming known and communing with the famous and well-connected (including Margaret Thatcher), Scruton later dropped the couple I knew for fear of being associated with them after the popular Press ran a story about how Scruton of the Salisbury Review etc was associating with “fascists” and “neo-Nazis” etc.

In other words, Scruton put career before friendship.

Having said that, Scruton was a considerable figure, sometimes honoured more in the recently ex-socialist states such as the Czech Republic —where I myself once saw a whole bookshop window of Scruton’s works in Czech— than in the UK.

That display was seen by me in Central Prague in 1999; it could not have happened when I had previously been in that city (1988); very few Western visitors were there then, and the works of Scruton (and many others) were banned.

Scruton was born into modest circumstances and, when later both famous and wealthy (as some might say, “box office“, with his high-selling books in multiple translation, and with several income-streams), he took on some of the traditional habits of the English “upper classes”, such as foxhunting, and living in country houses. He also started to take money from tobacco-lobby interests.

[Scruton’s house —2004-2009— near Sperryville, Virginia, USA]

Scruton (whom I myself never met) strikes me as having been, like many, perhaps most people, a blend of the highminded and tawdry, of the original and the very derivative, of the highly ethical and the morally-suspect.

A hugely-talented man, in any event. One could say, without it being too much of a cliché, “a Renaissance man“.

Perhaps better remembered in his works than in himself.

Blame and praise alike befall, when a dauntless man’s spirit is black and white mixed, like the magpie’s plumage…”

Perhaps the (at time of writing) 643 utter “mugs”, each presently donating between £3.50 and £44, and every month, might start to wake up if they saw the total income (from that source alone) of “Jack Monroe”, the so-called “Bootstrap Cook”. Somewhere between a few thousand pounds and tens of thousands, monthly.

Criminal?” My idea of “criminal” is pleading poverty or (when, e.g., Tiffany earrings are noticed by alert readers) near-poverty, in order to induce people to donate thousands of pounds monthly to a private bank account, while never or rarely providing the goods and services offered, and (it is said by many) never having intended to perform; or crowdfunding in order to fund a defamation case, with no real intent to launch such a case, and later (it is alleged by many, at any rate) keeping the donated monies for private purposes.

This will only be clarified if, or when, police and/or trading standards officers and/or various regulators properly investigate the activities of “Jack Monroe”, the “Bootstrap Cook”.

No decent meal can be made for either 30p or 11p. This is reaching Monty Python levels of nonsense.

Without the Russian connection (there since Kievan Rus in the 9thC: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kievan_Rus%27], there would be really nothing of note in Ukraine, and that is exactly what its present Jew-Zionist dictatorship wants; in other words, for there to be nothing in Ukraine that existed before 1991, when this shambolic, corrupt and Jew-Zionist-ruled and exploited republic emerged from the collapse of Sovietism.

It cannot be denied that this conflict started in 2014, not in 2022.

The Zelensky regime in Kiev wants NATO to weigh in on the Kiev-regime side. If that were to happen even more blatantly than is presently the case, a nuclear exchange between NATO (NWO/ZOG) and Russia will be only a matter of time.

I cannot say whether the above is a genuine cause or not; probably it is. In any case, the true cost of war is the suffering of both human beings and their companion animals.

It is bad that Ukraine, whatever the reasons, is a theatre of war. Let us make sure that the rest of Europe is not dragged into a worse, and greater, war.

I missed that from about 10 days ago.

When Jews started to flood into the then British-ruled Palestine, after the First World War, they were a small minority. In the period immediately before the Second World War, they were still a minority, but since the establishment of the Jewish state of Israel in 1948, the Jews have not only become the majority, but have gradually taken over most of the land of Palestine; by war, by terrorism, and now more by gradual encroachment supported by Israeli law and typical Jewish misuse of law.

In fact, if you include both Israeli territory and the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and Gaza, the Jewish population is not far in excess of the numbers of the Palestinian population(s), but of course the Jews control most of the levers of force and coercion. See also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinians

The overall pattern has happened in muted form elsewhere. In Germany, particularly in the 1920s; also in the UK, mainly since the mid-19th Century and acceleratedly so since the 1930s. In the USA and other countries as well.

What matters is not the relative size of population(s), but rather the level of control exercised; not only over military power directly, but including that exercised over law, the legal professions, the mass media, money, and politics.

Incredible how many mugs exist in this country (maybe kind, well-meaning etc, but still mugs). There again, were that not not the case, we would not have had taken seriously a number of scams of recent years, such as the “Covid” “panicdemic”, the “vaccine”/”booster” stuff, “Black Lives Matter” and the like, as well as the 2010-2015 “need” for “austerity” (spending cuts) etc.

Many of those that our country has fed and sheltered hate us, not because of anything we have done (good or bad) but because we are white Northern Europeans.

As the Russians say, “feed a wolf how you will, but he will always look back toward the forest“…

A couple of rounds should do it…

The NHS, though a good idea in principle, and even in practice (at times, perhaps often, even today), is not now providing a proper overall service. Needs root and branch reform.

The system known as “healthcare”, inc. NHS should be more intelligently linked to “adult social care” and “elderly care”, to provide a properly-working service for an ageing British population.

As for nurses, naturally I support them having a decent income, but they will —and rightly— lose much public support if they put their own financial interest (however justified) above compassion and care for helpless and suffering people.

When I lived for a little while in the Caribbean (about 22-23 years ago), I met an American naval officer on vacation with his wife. I never asked him his rank (or the name of his ship), but I presume at least a naval captain, maybe higher, in view of the fact that he commanded a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier.

A pleasant little man, who looked a bit like the Penguin in the 1960s Batman TV series, he had an air of unstressed command. Not exactly “commanding”, still less imperious or contrived; he just radiated a kind of urbane manner that conveyed that he knew that anything that he did order to be done would be done.

I asked that naval officer over a drink how on Earth he carried the responsibility of something like docking a ship of such enormous size, and he replied rather modestly that “ah, I have people to do things like that for me“…

The Untermensch’s Tale

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-11368907/PETER-HITCHENS-murderers.html.

When Freda Walker opened her back door to let her cat out one night last January, she let Hell into her home. It came in the form of Vasile Culea. He seems to have sneaked in while she was not looking.

Not long afterwards, he subjected Mrs Walker, 86, and her husband Ken, 88, to a night of merciless torture. He was a retired electrician and former district councillor. She was a retired seamstress. They had come through all those decades, and might have thought they were entitled to a peaceful final few years together. They did not live in some inner-city gang-infested zone, but in the kind of street and the kind of house that millions inhabit.

She was 5ft 2in tall and yet Culea, a fit young man, killed her.”

[Peter Hitchens in the Mail on Sunday].

I note, though, that Hitchens does not point out that the torturer and murderer, Vasile Culea, is a Roma Gypsy from Romania. Note— not “Romanian”, except in respect of his passport, but a member of that tribe first let into the UK in huge numbers under the Blair elected dictatorship.

Look at the photo in the article. Not European. The Roma Gypsies originated in India, many hundreds of years ago.

See also: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11365243/Romanian-killer-jailed-life-murdering-86-year-old-ex-mayors-wife.html; even the newspaper report of the untermensch’s sentence describes him, misleadingly, as “Romanian“.

The truth has to become acceptable again in the UK, whether it concerns Gypsies, Jews, the “holocaust” farrago or, indeed, English people (where they too need to be held to account).

I feel sorry for the real Romanians, who are constantly “tarred with the same brush” when the Roma Gypsies with Romanian passports commit crimes in the UK.

Liz Truss

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11368619/Liz-Trusss-personal-phone-hacked-Putins-spies-secret-details-negotiations.html

Liz Truss’s personal mobile phone was hacked by agents suspected of working for the Kremlin, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The cyber-spies are believed to have gained access to top-secret exchanges with key international partners as well as private conversations with her leading political ally, Kwasi Kwarteng.

One source said that the phone was so heavily compromised that it has now been placed in a locked safe inside a secure Government location.

A source with knowledge of the incident said yesterday that the security breach ‘caused absolute pandemonium – Boris was told immediately, and it was agreed with the Cabinet Secretary that there should be a total news blackout.

‘It is not a great look for the intelligence services if the Foreign Secretary’s phone can be so easily plundered for embarrassing personal messages by agents presumed to be working for Vladimir Putin’s Russia.’

[Daily Mail]

It has to be said that the UK’s intelligence and security services, perhaps particularly SIS [MI6], have been living off their hump, meaning a largely-undeserved reputation, for a very long time, along with the Monarchy, the Church of England, the Bar, the NHS, and the ancient universities, to name just a few of the more obvious “usual suspects”.

As to Liz Truss herself, I suspect (admittedly without much evidence) that, at some point, meaning prior to her becoming Prime Minister, she was getting banged by Kwasi Kwarteng.

Anyway, both Liz Truss and woolly-head are yesterday’s news now.

Liz Truss and woolly-head Kwarteng will kill their own party

https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/oct/12/one-in-five-families-in-liz-trusss-seat-would-lose-out-under-real-term-benefit-cuts

At least one in five working-age families in most UK constituencies – including in Liz Truss’s seat – would lose out by hundreds of pounds on average if real-terms benefit cuts go ahead, a study has found.

The scale of the impact of a below-inflation rise on already struggling households and by extension, local shops and businesses, is revealed in a study by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF). It would amount to the biggest-ever real terms cut to benefits in a single year.

The findings will increase pressure on the prime minister to stick to promises made by her predecessor, Boris Johnson, to guarantee benefits would rise next April in line with September inflation – about 10% – rather than by the rise in earnings figure of 6%. This real-terms cut would deliver around £5bn in savings to the Treasury.

Dozens of backbench Tory MPs are understood to be prepared to rebel over real-terms benefits cuts, while a number of cabinet ministers – including Penny Mordaunt and Robert Buckland – have also signalled their opposition.

The JRF analysis shows seven out of 10 MPs represent areas where at least 20% of households are reliant on universal credit and other means-tested benefits. These include 193 Conservative seats, including a number of key marginals where over a third of working-age families would be affected by a cut.

“Politicians should think long and hard about the impact of withholding hundreds of pounds from thousands of families in their constituencies when the basic rate of benefits is already at its lowest in real terms for 40 years and prices are sky-high,” said Katie Schmuecker, JRF’s principal policy adviser

Families in ”red wall” seats in one-time Labour strongholds taken by the Conservatives at the last general election would be particularly badly affected by real-term benefit cuts. They include Blackpool South, where nearly half (46%) of households stand to lose out, Burnley (38%), and Redcar (33%).

The JRF analysis shows that even in the most affluent constituencies at least one in 10 households are on means-tested benefits.

A former academic at University College London must pay almost £50,000 in damages to a former colleague after falsely portraying her as a sex worker on social media as part of a months-long campaign of harassment.

Christopher Backhouse, a former research fellow at the department of physics and astronomy at UCL, has settled to pay £49,975 to Erica Smith, a physicist and a postdoctoral fellow at Indiana University in the US.

Backhouse was revealed as the perpetrator after Smith enlisted a US lawyer to subpoena Twitter and Google. Documents from the tech giants identified an IP address in London, despite great lengths by the perpetrator to cover their tracks using global proxy servers, the court heard.

Using a Norwich Pharmacal Order (NPO) against BT, a disclosure order allowing information to be obtained from third parties, Backhouse was revealed as the customer connected with the London IP address.”

It is shaming for Britain to be represented by such as stupidly ignorant “ho” Liz Truss, ugly, nasty moneygrubbing drunk Therese Coffey, woolly-head Kwarteng, and ignorant half-caste James Cleverly.

The present Cabinet has no legitimacy.

It will be recalled that Derbyshire Police (one of the worst-performing forces in the UK) was instrumental in the Jew-Zionist campaign against satirist Alison Chabloz, and its Police and Crime Commissioner at the time (removed in 2021) was a Labour Party drone, a Sikh, who was basically suborned some years ago by the malicious small pressure group called “Campaign Against Antisemitism” [“CAA”].

Derbyshire Police was also one of the worst police forces involved in illegal bullying of the public during the “panicdemic” of 2020-2021.

Talking about the police and their slide into becoming a pathetic poundland KGB, what about this, below?

The ridiculous little twerp of a policeman shown is indeed, as the tweeter writes, egregious in his behaviour.

“Labour” is now just a label. In fact, one of Labour’s least impressive MPs, the unpleasant self-publicist Jess Phillips, said a few years ago that it was “just a f****** rose” (a reference to its symbol).

Labour is riding high in the opinion polls now by default, the Conservative Party having all but imploded, but Labour, in itself, is every bit as rubbish as the Conservative Party.

Both main parties are just one System, really.

A side-effect of workers moving out of care work to other work would be that care work would then only attract people with no other choices, forced to do care work by being, for example, pressured by the DWP.

Interesting video, rather idealistic. If the British Empire still existed and still ruled, the Arab-Jew problem in Palestine would be contained, and Israel would not be a centre of a manipulative web across the world.

I thought Elon Musk too intelligent to buy into a massive scam such as Twitter.

Making the best of it

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11282329/Cornwall-pub-turns-lights-replaces-CANDLES-reduce-soaring-energy-bills.html

That report reminded me of when I was first in Almaty, Kazakhstan (in 1996 and 1997). I lived on one of the main boulevards, Prospekt Lenina. There were frequent power cuts or, as the Americans say, “outages”.

I bought some candles for my 12th-floor Soviet penthouse apartment, and that was OK, though I nearly got stuck in the lift one day when there was a power cut the moment I stepped out of that lift, having returned from my office. The power did not return until about midday the next day, so that was a lucky miss for me.

In fact, my area of the city was not so badly affected as others, being within the “Presidentsky” district, where the then Presidential Palace and major embassies were located. Usually, the power cuts involved one or two areas at a time, with other areas continuing to receive electrical supply. Where I lived was certainly given preferential treatment, but still lost power fairly often.

I remember well that I was due to dine with three people one evening at a small and little-patronized Georgian restaurant in a quiet lane not too far from my home, a place almost in the countryside.

When the time came to meet those people, I was sitting in the empty restaurant. They arrived together, a young American in the Peace Corps, and two local Russian girls who were employed by an American organization; I had met them previously.

No sooner had they sat down than the electricity was cut off. The owner of the place, a Georgian lady called Bella, hurried to put out quite a few candles.

In the restaurant, with its wooden walls and lack of traffic noise (the lane outside was deserted), this created a kind of 19th century environment. One of the Russian girls started to play the piano which was there. Mainly Chopin.

In the candlelight, it was like being in a scene adapted from Chekhov or some other pre-revolutionary author; perhaps a country estate circa 1860 and in a Russia not yet hit by modern warfare or the shocks of violent revolution. Charmant

That evening has always stayed with me.

Very clever. Funny, but also sad and also true…

Still slightly favourable on defence and “terrorism”? How? Why? The armed forces seem incapable of stopping migration invasion across the Channel, and are too small to stop any conventional invasion. The present ZOG (Zionist Occupation Government) is pledged to continue to waste billions funnelling money and arms to the Jew-Zionist regime in Kiev.

What about “terrorism”? The Muslims are not taking over the British cities via “terrorism” but via their birth-rate. The Jews continue to send their teenage children to Israel, there to be trained in the use of firearms, as well as in techniques of streetfighting, but are not even monitored (much) by the UK Security Service on their return to the UK.

I must do a blog article, in my Deadhead MPs series, about Cleverly.

Thinking about who would vote “Conservative” now.

Some would. People whose income is well above the norm, perhaps; those on £150,000+, and who are also voting out of purely personal self-interest . Then —the largest group— those who want to vote specifically against Labour, and see a Con vote as the only effective way to do it.

Are there any other groups of “Conservative” voters now? I think not. The last 12 years have seen no effective policy or action on the immigration problem, whether in general or specifically re. the cross-Channel migration-invasion. As for that trad Con strongpoint, “law and order”, we have seen police numbers cut, courts (in the hundreds) closed down to save money, a huge backlog of trials, and legal aid cuts which have effectively denied millions the right to access the legal system.

Yes, a lot can happen in the two years before a general election has to be held, but it cannot really be said that Liz Truss has any popular mandate, and things look likely to slide even further from here: utility bills, mortgage payments, whatever may hit the UK by reason of the wrongheaded anti-Russia sanctions and military adventurism.

Even the mainly self-interested “grey vote” of pensioners and those nearing State Pension age might pause before placing their crosses next to the Conservative Party candidate, now that it has emerged that the young Liz Truss actually wanted to abolish the State Pension, and who intends to slash other benefits relied on by pensioners.

I assessed Rory Stewart in 2019, when he was a candidate for the Conservative Party leadership. I also updated it, and continue to do so. A large number of people have read that assessment. See https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/05/03/will-rory-stewart-mp-be-prime-minister/.

“Jack Monroe”, the “Bootstrap Cook”: an assessment

I have blogged (briefly) previously a few times about the person known as “Jack Monroe” (originally Melissa Hadjicostas, half-Greek Cypriot), whose rather clever nom de plume is “Bootstrap Cook”.

The name Jack Monroe is now her official name, it having been adopted by deed poll.

In the past, I was content to be at least neutral towards “Bootstrap Cook”, in that I felt that anyone putting almost anything into the public domain that might help the millions of financially-struggling people in the UK deserved at least a chance.

This is what Wikipedia has to say: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Monroe; her own website is here: https://cookingonabootstrap.com/.

Incidentally, this blog is written in the English language, and therefore does not refer to a woman (whatever her views or proclivities) as “they” or “them”.

“Ideological” criticism of “Bootstrap Cook” has come mainly from two directions. The first group would be those connected to or supportive of the “Conservative” regimes of 2010-present. They tend to say that there is no justification for the campaigning of “Bootstrap Cook” to raise State benefits etc, and that any food poverty that exists exists because the individuals subject to it cannot “budget” properly, or do not know how to cook cheap wholesome food.

An ignorant point of view (though not without a small kernel of truth, as with many basically lying narratives), which infuriates many, especially when expressed by the likes of Iain Dunce Duncan Smith, the MP who has also been a huge expenses blodger and fraudster, and who claimed vast amounts on his Parliamentary expenses (even a £39 hotel breakfast) while —as Secretary of State for the DWP— taking money away from people living in real poverty.

The second group who tend to criticize “Bootstrap Cook” are those who agree with much of her campaigning on benefits etc, but who say that she actually “enables” attacks on benefit recipients by reason of her claims that a family of 4 can be fed well on £20 a week or less.

Now, however, a third group has joined the fray, being those who claim that they and/or others have been taken for a ride by “Bootstrap Cook”, and that she is a “grifter”, or even an outright fraud, who has sold goods and services which were never delivered. These critics also claim that much of the “Bootstrap Cook” back-story is untrue, or embellished.

For example, it is said that “Bootstrap Cook” was either never in poverty herself, or was so for no more than 18 months. It is said that at least part of her financial difficulties were caused by her own (apparently past) alcohol and/or drug abuse. It is said that she makes up implausible stories about her past financial predicament, such as “having to” sell her little son’s beloved dinosaur toy to raise money (really? How much money would that raise? £1? £2? And how cruel is that, assuming the story to be true?).

It is also said that her parents are not badly-off financially, that they own buy-to-let property, and that her paternal grandfather was a millionaire. In other words, that “Bootstrap Cook” always had a financial lifeline. I have no idea whether, or to what extent, that may be, or may have been, the case.

Recently, following a storm of criticism on Twitter, “Bootstrap Cook” deleted her Twitter account, though others claim that she is merely taking a 40-hour “rest” from Twitter, and will return. Why 40 hours and not (as with Jesus Christ) 40 days, or whatever, I have no idea.

One of my few blog posts which mentioned “Bootstrap Cook”: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2022/08/25/diary-blog-25-august-2022-with-a-few-thoughts-about-poverty-and-living-through-hard-times/.

One aspect that interested me, as a former barrister, was the tendency of “Bootstrap Cook” to threaten some of her critics with legal action. A few years ago, “Bootstrap Cook” sued Katie Hopkins in libel.

Ms. Hopkins had libelled “Bootstrap Cook” entirely mistakenly as to the facts, had no defence whatever, and should have backed down and got out with minimal damage when she could have but, like many maximalisti, found sorry the hardest word, and so was hammered: £24,000 in damages, and very large legal costs. Ms. Hopkins had to sell her house in St. Leonard’s (the best residential district in Exeter) in order to pay those legal costs.

“Bootstrap Cook” retained as her solicitor Mark Lewis, the Zionist Jew who now lives in Israel, though he has also a professional foothold in London. His no-win no-fee cases have often been controversial.

I have blogged about Lewis in previous years, most recently in 2019: https://ianrobertmillard.org/2019/01/11/update-re-mark-lewis-lawyer-questions-are-raised/.

I have to wonder how nice a person “Bootstrap Cook” is, if she is on friendly terms with someone such as Lewis.

As soon as people started suggesting, a month or two ago, that “Bootstrap Cook” was somewhere between “grifter” and fraudster, out came the Twitter threat that Mark Lewis and libel would be wheeled out (frankly, not so much of a threat— by no means have all of Lewis’s cases been brought to a successful conclusion, and when he was censured and fined by the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority about 4 years ago, his Counsel said that his fine should be reduced because his only possessions were his clothes, a mobility scooter. and a private pension worth £70 a week).

In fact, when “Bootstrap Cook” threatened libel action against Conservative Party MP Lee Anderson [Con, Ashfield] (in May of this year), nothing ever came of it, as far as I know:

Food journalist and activist Jack Monroe hinted at legal action against Anderson after he commented in an interview that “She’s taking money off some of the most vulnerable people in society and making an absolute fortune on [sic] the back of people”.[36] [Wikipedia].

It may be that Anderson will face legal action, but I have certainly not seen any news about an action having been launched. See https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/may/15/food-writer-jack-monroe-sues-tory-mp-claims-she-makes-fortune-poor-lee-anderson; and https://www.echo-news.co.uk/news/20141345.southends-jack-monroe-sue-lee-anderson/.

The Guardian says “sues“, but the Independent said “hints at suing“, and I have seen nothing on the Mark Lewis Twitter output to the effect that he ever was “instructed” (the Guardian, again) on the matter. He may have been, he may not have been. I might add that all the news reports are from 15-16 May 2022; nothing since then.

Was Anderson right, though? As I have said, I was willing to cut “Bootstrap Cook” some slack, because in recent years, the past ~15 years, the social security system has become inadequate, pay for work has also become generally inadequate, and millions are struggling both to eat and keep sheltered and warm. My view was that any useable advice was, well, useful.

I still think that (despite the fact that, to me, many of the recipes of “Bootstrap Cook” do look like a dog’s dinner, and despite the fact that many disagree with her costings etc).

More serious criticism is that she has actually been making a pretty good living out of Patreon donations, while never or rarely providing the extras offered in exchange.

When I last looked, “Bootstrap Cook” had at least 800 Patreon donors giving a minimum of £1 a month. £800 a month. In itself not bad. When you consider that the suggested minimum is £3 a head, the total increases to £2,400 a month (perhaps). I have seen a tweet where the tweeter claims, truthfully or otherwise, to have been donating £44 a month. Well, you see the point. “Bootstrap Cook” must have an income from Patreon alone of between £800 and (?) perhaps as much as £8,000 a month. Or more. That’s before one takes into account book sales, other donations, paid (?) TV appearances, other appearances etc. We do not know.

Not that “Bootstrap Cook” claims poverty, these days. No, she claims, as I understand it (and perhaps truthfully) a degree of “precariousness” in her life and finances, and she is certainly not alone in that. It is almost the norm in the Britain of 2022.

“Bootstrap Cook” has a number of defence mechanisms. One is to threaten defamation actions, but the more usual tactic is to claim the shield of disability, and she has about two dozen options there.

A further defence tactic is, I read, to set her fanatical fans (she apparently calls them “flying monkeys“) onto any critics, and I have certainly seen tweets where mentally-disturbed fans have come close to suggesting violence against anyone daring to utter critical words.

The problem here is that “Bootstrap Cook” has become a totem for a certain tribe of virtue-signallers. Not really “the poor” but more the sort of people who like to think that they are socially-progressive etc. Facts do not matter to those people, belonging to the “right” tribe does. cf. “Covid”, Ukraine, “Black Lives Matter” and, of course, “FBPE/Remain/Rejoin” etc.

When you consider that someone who claims to be able to feed a family of 4 for £20 a week might be said to be, arguably or in effect, saying that UK benefits are perfectly OK and need not be increased, is that really something positive or not?

Some tweets seen about the issues raised:

It is better to be a little naive than very cynical, but the world makes it hard…

As many have noted, this whole Bootstrap Cook thing is more like a creepy cult than anything. It’s as if a lot of fairly affluent or at least not poor people have decided that supporting “Bootstrap Cook” —right or wrong— validates their evenings of going out, their Netflix subscription, their holidays in Cuba or Costa Rica, their new cars, and in fact their whole comfortable existence.

In fact, it reminds me of the “indulgences” sold by the Roman Catholic Church before the Reformation.

Not that that is necessarily the fault of the “Bootstrap Cook” herself.

Look at the loonies below, believing what they want to believe:

Well, if you can believe that the “royal” Mulatta is a sadly-abused “princess”, then believing that a poverty campaigner, who seems to be making “a nice little earner” out of it and naive followers, is a modern Joan of Arc, must be easy enough.

Well, that’s enough. There are hundreds of other tweets in similar vein.

As blogged previously, my view is that Bootstrap Cook’s stuff may well be of interest to many, though —as already said— much of it looks to me like carbohydrate-heavy food often presented like a dog’s dinner.

I do not think that “Bootstrap Cook” set out to defraud anyone, and it may be that she has no such intention now, but it does seem that legitimate questions about her fundraising have been asked by a number of donors, but not answered by her.

If people think that they are somehow accomplishing something by subsidizing the not-uncomfortable lifestyle of that person, then that is their business, in a sense, but it is legitimate for others, arguably more clear-minded, to ask “where is the money going?“, “is any of this true?“, and “are people being tapped for money under false pretences?“.

I can also see that her fans seem to be, almost entirely, not the truly poor but more those who are not “poor” but who support her “non-binary” profile, the “gender bender” aspects, and the general “government must do more for the poor” activism aspect.

I think that it is legitimate to question, not only “where the money went” (or goes), but also, whether in reality Bootstrap Cook has actually influenced government, or large enterprises such as ASDA (it seems that one or two supermarket chains were actually paying her for advice or consultancy or something).

Poverty is a huge problem in the UK now. Anyone claiming to be expert in it must expect searching inquiry.

Is this all really just a morning TV virtue-signal writ large? After all, at the end of the day, the decisive question is what government does or fails to do.

I personally have no animus against “Bootstrap Cook”, but my view of her has certainly become far less positive over the years since I first heard of her.

I do think, also, that if you claim that a person can feed healthily on £5 a week, you are really playing into the hands of swine such as Dunce Duncan Smith, Esther McVey, Therese Coffey etc.

I think that anyone wanting to help “the poor” could probably do so more effectively via GoFundMe or local foodbanks than by subsidizing the lifestyle of “Bootstrap Cook”. Perhaps I am mistaken, but that is my firm view and opinion.

On a wider point, we have in the UK this msm thing whereby TV channels or shows like to have a “go-to” list. Brexit discussion? Call Farage. Free speech discussion? Call Toby Young. Poverty discussion? Call Jack Monroe. And so on.

Thus you get “activists” who are really just “famous for being famous activists”. The Caroline Criado-Perez phenomenon. A hundred thousand or a million Twitter followers but, outside Twitter etc, really unknown and without real influence.

Of course, the msm now like to feature (supposed) “experts” who are, if possible, young, female, and black. “Bootstrap Cook” is not black, but as “Meatloaf” once opined, “two out of three ain’t bad“…

Well, there it is. I prefer to concentrate on other and larger issues really, but felt that I should examine the above first, after the recent Twitter storm in a teacup.

All that the doomed “Conservative” Party had to do, to consign Labour to the bin, was select a leader to succeed “Boris”-idiot who was even slightly competent. It failed to do so. Endex.

The implications are clear: either the Con MPs get rid of Liz Truss as soon as they can, and put in someone who at least looks semi-competent, or the Con Party will be near-finished by next year. Same goes, of course, for Kwarteng, Cleverly, and Coffey.

I, among others, including recently Peter Hitchens, have written about how NWO/ZOG propaganda is now embedded in TV dramas, “soaps”, ads etc. See https://ianrobertmillard.org/2018/12/10/tv-ads-and-soaps-are-the-propaganda-preferred-by-the-system-in-the-uk/.

A good example was seen the other night. A new detective drama called Karen Pirie.

Set partly a few decades ago, partly in the contemporary era, even the older setting, in St. Andrews, Scotland, decades ago, had a black character appear. In a small town in what seems to be a bleak part of Scotland (I have never been there). Then we are introduced to the two detectives now investigating the cold case. One a small Scottish woman, the other a black or half-caste…

I do not have a great deal of patience with films or TV shows. If they do not catch the interest after 15 mins, switch— OFF. I gave this one 20 mins. A bloody bore, poorly conceived and worse-acted.

This evening, I saw an old episode of Wycliffe [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wycliffe_(TV_series)]. All characters more or less credible, and what I like best about Wycliffe is that it manages to catch the atmosphere of Cornwall well, from what I recall from when I lived there. It does not rely on cliche (most of the time, at least).

Update, 3 November 2022

In the month since I wrote about “Jack Monroe”, the “Bootstrap Cook”, the storm around her murky financial arrangements has become fiercer yet. A few tweets:

Her “free lawyer” is or was the egregious Mark Lewis, a Jew who lives in Israel, though he is connected to a small law firm in the UK.

I have blogged extensively about Lewis in the past:

He is sometimes described, inaccurately, as having become a “pro bono” lawyer who works for free, out of quasi-charitable motives, whereas he in fact seems to work on a “no win no fee” basis, which is not at all the same thing.

“Jack Monroe” has tweeted that she still has several/many months in which to sue the MP Lee Anderson and the politico Martin Daubney. In theory, up to a year after the alleged libel, but the relevant Practice Directions do say that the courts will still expect any claim to be made expeditiously, so not, e.g., 10 or 11 months after the alleged libel.

The courts may (probably will) penalize even a successful defamation claimant (“plaintiff”, as was) in both award and costs if the action is not brought expeditiously.

How do I know this? Because, though not now a barrister, I was one until a pack of Jews cobbled together a false complaint against me in 2014 (I was disbarred, wrongfully and illegally, in 2016): see https://ianrobertmillard.org/2017/07/09/the-slide-of-the-english-bar-and-uk-society-continues-and-accelerates/. I am rusty on the law here and there, but keep up to some extent (enough).

As my blog assessment said. Virtue-signalling Guardian/Observer readers for the most part.

Afternoon music

On this day a year ago

An extract from the blog of exactly a year ago:

The System needs at least two “major parties” (even if their combined membership is only about 600,000, i.e. 1% of the UK population) because it preserves the facade of a binary choice, the facade of supposed “democracy” etc. So fake Labour has to exist, just as fake Conservative Party has to exist, in order to fool the mass of the people into thinking that they have a real choice. They do not have any such choice.

Also:

Labour, like the “Conservatives”, has to exist and pretend to put forward a bunch of policies, when really both parties have been stripped of real policy, real difference, and even real politicians (look at the pathetic deadheads now crowding the Commons and Lords alike). You want to see what “ZOG” looks like? Just look at “British” political parties and MPs today.

Nothing has changed.

“Covid” “vaccine” uselessness

Cashing-in pensions

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/mum-quits-nhs-pension-pay-27734990.

Leaving aside the immediate issue reported on (fuel inflation), it should not be possible to “cash in” a private pension below X-age. If I am not mistaken, the right to cash-in was brought in, or made much easier, when the part-Jew, George Osborne, was Chancellor of the Exchequer.

A private pension is to help someone of pensionable age, clearly. It is not just a long-term investment of some kind. It is against public policy in the broad sense to allow pensions to be simply cashed-in.

In fact, it is contra public policy in practical terms as well, quite apart from the ethical aspect, or impact on the individual, because someone who cashes-in a private pension but then later, at or above pensionable age, becomes poor enough to require State “Pension Credit Guarantee”, will have his or her State Pension augmented by Pension Credit so that he or she receives a minimum of £185 per week (as well as other benefits, such as Housing Benefit etc if applicable).

In other words, not only the individual but also the State itself will, in that instance, lose out financially.

“The world is not without kind people”

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/entertainment/celebrity/mrs-hinch-home-rent-free-27735161.

The world is not without kind people“, says a Russian proverb. One sees that constantly, despite also seeing contrary news.

Look at the story about “Mrs. Hinch”. She has given away a £600,000 house simply because she wants to help a family, and “does not need” the capital proceeds of any sale.

Remarkable. I have no idea whether her husband is wealthy; she herself is said to be “worth” about £1.5M (presumably discounting the donated house).

It was not clear to me, on skimming the report, whether the house donated has actually been transferred, or just given to live in rent-free for as long as permitted. Either way, very generous.

If only the very wealthy of our society, those possessing tens, hundreds, or thousands of millions, were as kind-hearted.

London. Zoo. Monkeyworld.

Full-term abortion“. Murder of babies born, or being born, or about to be born, and perfectly capable of living a full human life in most cases. Straight murder. Legalized.

Will any of those Australian MPs be held to account in an appropriate way?

“Racism” against white Europeans is now considered OK; but any perceived mere criticism of Jews, or non-whites, is not only not approved of by the System, but may even be criminalized by biased law and enforcement.

“They” worm their way in everywhere, if not stopped.

Educated guess: of those 19,000 or more migrant-invaders, not one will actually be —in any way— someone who benefits the British people, but let us be kind, and assume that 1% benefit the UK (somehow). What about the other 99%? Guessing (but I think reasonably) further: of every 100 migrant-invaders, at least 10, maybe 20, will turn out to be criminal and/or terroristic; the remaining 79 or more will just be completely useless millstones round our collective neck.

I was not too pleased about Neil Oliver when he did Coast, especially his —not always well-informed– occasional anti-“Nazi” historical (or ahistorical) comments, but he has certainly redeemed himself in the past couple of years.

Not that I agree with everything he now says, but no matter. He is in general on the right track. I may be an “idealist”, as some have called me, but I do have pragmatic aspects as well.

Ask “Robert Maxwell” or Jeffrey Epstein. Oh, no— you can’t, because they snuffed it under mysterious circumstances. Ask Ghislaine “Maxwell”, then. Oh, no— you can’t, because she is in prison for much of the rest of her horrible life, and afraid of being murdered (as was, she thinks, her father) by Israeli Intelligence killers.

Liz Truss and Priti Patel, and Keir Starmer (etc) should be wary of being puppets of Israel and the Jew lobby. It’s one rouble to get in, but two roubles to get out…

Temperature variations

Incredible how varied the UK can be in terms of temperature. Where I live (Hampshire coast) the temperature at 0900 hrs this morning was 22C, in London at same time it was 33C, but in Edinburgh only 16C.

I do not usually approve of rowdy behaviour, but if a few frustrated Brits in Greece were to give the idiot a kicking, I have to admit that I would not be upset about it.

Incapable of creating a civilization, incapable of maintaining one even when provided to them, and most of them incapable even of simply living decently as unwanted “guests” in the civilization created by white Europeans.

Diary Blog, 7 August 2022, with thoughts about drought and water supply

Drought, and water supply

Where is the strategic direction from government? It is hard to think of a more basic function of government in the modern era than the supply of plentiful and clean water. Of all necessities, water supply is the most basic.

Measures that should be taken in the UK (southern England, really) include water-retention projects in upland areas, new dams and reservoirs, and construction of desalination plants for emergency use (Israel has some of the best technology for that; worth looking at).

Other measures would include those to minimize leaks. London may be losing a quarter of the water available and piped by reason of leaks.

Also, the UK population has increased by many millions in the past half-century. Stop importing unwanted people.

Cape Town nearly ran out of water 2015-2018, partly by reason of low rainfall, but also because (quelle surprise) African government has proven incapable of planning ahead: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Town_water_crisis.

Cape Town was saved partly by severe restrictions on use, but mainly because the rains started to arrive again from 2018. Los Angeles was in difficulties too over the past decade, but again was saved mainly by renewed rainfall.

In principle, I think that water, at least for domestic users, should be free or very inexpensive, but the reality is that there is a cost attached to the storage and supply of water (and also to the disposal of waste water). There is a debate to be had as to how to manage those costs.

In Ireland, until fairly recently, water was supplied free of charge to domestic users, and the cost covered out of taxation, mainly rates (taxation) on domestic and commercial property: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_supply_and_sanitation_in_the_Republic_of_Ireland#Tariffs.

Factors: abundant surface water, and a relatively small population, which until recent decades was mostly poor. Incidentally, it was not so long ago that most of the Irish population did not pay income tax.

I oppose meters for water, and I oppose the profiteering by the present privatized water companies in the UK. There should be a national water authority and, if water is to be charged for at all, a set amount —the same amount— paid for water (either per person or per household) over a determined period.

Water pressure can be reduced to save water in times of drought, though that is easier in some countries than in others. I recall a friend in New Jersey telling me in about 1991 that he had seen a special episode of This Old House [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Old_House] from London, which included the information that water pressure was 18 pounds per square inch.

My friend said that “to us, that’s a trickle!“. I think that water pressure in the NY/NJ region is nearer to 80 pounds per square inch, so 4x higher than in London, thinking back to that conversation.

Incidentally, water pressure in the UK is now expressed in “bars”, a metric measurement: see https://www.plumbnation.co.uk/blog/the-complete-guide-to-water-pressure/.

Large-scale users of water are commercial enterprises, including farms. These may have to be squeezed further on cost.

Mostly right, though not mentioning the huge —and possibly irreparable— damage done to the UK economy by the ridiculous “panicdemic” measures of 2020-2022, particularly the “lockdown” shutdown(s).

How low has the UK sunk, that it could even contemplate having a Indian as its Prime Minister?

This is the sort of thing, or one type of thing, that happens when you mix up capitalist enterprise (economic zone or sphere) with the zone or sphere of social rights, politics etc. In the Threefold Social Order proposed by Rudolf Steiner, those zones or spheres (and the spiritual/cultural/etc zone or sphere) should not be confused. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_threefolding.

Bulb Energy was originally a mixture of economic enterprise and social do-gooding to do with “reducing emissions” and similar nonsense.

Other examples of “social entrepreneurship” have abounded in the Britain of the past 20 years. A swamp of fraud, chicanery and chaotic mismanagement. One of the worst types of the phenomenon has been the “social entrepreneur” company that presents itself as quasi-charitable but makes millions for its major shareholders out of public funds.

The maladministration and incompetence of Iain Dunce Duncan Smith at the DWP from 2010-2015 allowed dozens if not hundreds of such organizations to flourish. There were and maybe still are many examples, funded by not only the DWP but also other parts of government. I am not even sure that “Kids’ Company” was the worst: see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kids_Company.

[Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder and Chief Executive of Kids’ Company]

Another one, the name of which escapes me for the moment, made millions for its controllers out of DWP funds; one of those ridiculous outsourcing companies finding “make-work” non-jobs for the unemployed and disabled.

The fat young woman who owned it with her husband (fortunately for them, their names also escape me right now) was on BBC Daily Politics and other TV shows between 2010-2015, talking about how good it all was. Only Andrew Neil was sharp enough to (obliquely) question the amount said woman was making (out of the taxpayers). She and her husband bought a large country house in Derbyshire before that particular house of cards collapsed. They made millions upon millions, were never prosecuted for what I consider an outright fraud, not to mention exploitation of desperate people, and still live in luxury today, I believe.
